finished the electric rainbow rambouillet! it’s sooooooo pretty!! I hope plying doesn’t ruin it (planning to chain ply- I can’t imagine doing anything else.) I almost hate to take it off the bobbin since it’s so pretty from the side. But I want to keep using the spider bobbin so that won’t work 😅 I am obsessed with the gradient, seeing it fill the bobbin was super fun.

This is the fattest bobbin I have spun to date. That thing is FULL. We are at MAX CAPACITY. This is ~200g of Corriedale dyed by me. The purple dye had split into blue and red, but I'm very pleased that through the magic of ✨optical blending✨ the spun yarn looks purple! Yay 💜

Winding it onto the niddy noddy took ages. It was quite the arm workout. Now it just needs a good soak and a good thwack and this beast will finally be finished!

you ever get possessed by idk Athena and you black out and when you come to, all your fiber is on the bobbin?? I somehow spun all 4 oz of this fiber in one day. At most 8 hours, likely around 5. I did not think it was possible? I don’t know what happened.

The fiber is “Cherry Blossom” from Paradise Fibers (I'm pretty sure it's merino with viscose tweed neps). I picked it up when I bought new ashford bobbins to ply with the Gelato yarn from Beesybee Fibers. One step closer to my ice cream sweater ☺️
