one of my favorite things about Elon Musk's purchase of Twitter is that he made it so that anyone who gave Twitter $8 could get the blue checkmark that indicates that the user is verified, so people on Twitter started paying for the verification check so they could impersonate tons of corporations on Twitter and tweet shit that cost some of the corporations billions of dollars in stock

feeling batshit insane over makima and the few glimpses we see of her being sincere and vulnerable and longing for any kind of intimate company, coupled with the little we see of the government officials who had her raised and forged into a tool and who even now after having made her into a lonely god keep shaping her worldview of seeing other sentient beings as dogs that she cannot connect to in any way. give me a few hours i have to go home but this is driving me uo the fucking wall she's like reze she's like denji she too was purposefully alienated from others and cut off from any chance of growth or love because what use would she have had if she were ever allowed to connect with anyone. they gave her all material comfort and purposefully severed her ability to forge bonds to make her a more effective weapon and instead what they got was a deity beyond anybody's reach who is willing to burn down the world in order to alleviate her loneliness even a little. fuck!!!

school is so stressful,,,

all things considered it hasnt been super bad, but with my capstone its been difficult mitigating anxiety and frustration about it bc it started off so poorly.

my prof wants us to do these weekly check in reports and she made a template, but its a mess of a template thats incredibly overwhelming.

from a little/middle perspective, it feels like a huge, overwhelming and frustrating task. it feels scary, bc i genuinely have no idea what im doing at any given moment. the template feels like a lot of words that i know seperately but not together.

being sick isnt doing me any favors either. being sick has me and axel out more, but thats incredibly frustrating bc theres big kid stuff that needs to be done and. we arent big kids. its frustrating to the rest of the system that all axel and i wanna do is play video games, but they are also understanding that we are just kids and that the body is sick, so no one can really force anything when in a state like this.

it just feels like a lot and very overwhelming for me, specifically. axel can just play and forget about it cuz he's young enough, but i cant. im stuck with the knowledge that theres things that need doing that.. i cant do.

its also hard to put the way i feel into words, bc i feel and have needs but. i dont know how to communicate them. like at all.

i'm so convinced that every writer for every big show or movie that has the main character have an amputation is not personally close with an amputee

with the exception of maybe forrest gump bc i thought lt. dan was very convincing and compelling

but like. they make getting and maintaining prosthetics look easy. they make it look not very painful (or the pain is super temporary). they don't bring up the emotional distress being an amputee can create, and if they bring up the ableism, it's a distasteful joke. all the negativity is done upon amputation and never beyond. and that's just so unrealistic i think. unless i, myself, am the world's most sensitive bitchy amputee.
