Reasons I'm alive rn
Things keeping me alive right now:
1. People r saying Natalia Dyer is currently beating up the Duffers because Talia Ryder got to kiss Maya Hawke and she didn’t.
2. Aster Flores x Ellie Chu content
3. People providing evidence that ronance is end game.
4. The lumax shippers :D

the half of it — 2020 (dir. Alice Wu)
i had a painting teacher tell me once that the difference between a good painting and a great painting is typically five strokes, and they’re typically the five boldest strokes in the painting.
the question, of course, is which five strokes? after you’ve slaved away making a pretty good painting, the last thing you’d want to do is make a bold stroke and potentially ruin everything.
maybe that’s the thing. if you do ruin your painting, you gotta know you have everything in you to get to that pretty good painting again. but if you never do the bold stroke, you’ll never know if you could’ve had a great painting.

This quote from The Half of It (one of my favourite films), reminded me of Never Have I Ever - of all the different kinds of love portrayed on the show - romantic, platonic, familial, and of course, self-love. And the quote isn't actually dissing love at all, even though it may seem like it. It's saying that love is imperfect, but that it is worth it not to give up on love.
