Finally finished my version of the Twisted Wonderland manga, I chose and redrew two pages. I've added some extra scenes and dialogue and I replaced Yuuken with my TWST oc Ellis! ❤

The extra dialogue and expression scenes were actually referenced off of Disney's animated Alice In Wonderland, I'll make a comparison post soon, most likely will be on tumblr but also will be shared on my IG story.

I made this to celebrate Riddle's birthday, I know its late but I'm just relieved to finally finish this piece, I hope you guys like it!❤

Decided to FINALLY design Ellis's Glorious Masquerade fit. I put in a lot of little details, as she is this Twisted version of Alice.

Since y'all loved my first TWST x CSM drawing doodles, I decided to make a fun little drawing comic based off a scene from CSM.

I know I made Deuce as Aki, but for this scene, I decided Riddle to best fit the dialogue and role in taking care of Ace and Ellis as Denji and Power.

Revamped a few old sketches, these were around the time I was drawing all the Heartslabyul students, so these were all my first times drawing these characters plus adding Ellis for fun and interaction.

At the time, I was also thinking about maybe moving Ellis into Heartslabyul since she's based off of the two Alice's, but I decided to just keep her in Ramshackle bc I feel like it makes the most sense.

Made an age sheet for Ellis, casually dropping a little bit more lore into her backstory.

As a young girl, Ellis has always been very passionate with music and would very often sing out loud. Her older sister thought to expand her passion through a community church and signed her up for the kids choir. Through there, she goes on to a public middle school where she meets most of her friends. At this stage in her life, she seemed the happiest, freeing, and laidback, especially in her academics, which did not look as…appealing. This catches her older sister’s attention, immediately registering her to an academic reform school in London without her knowledge. Fast forwarding to her freshman year at 14, she gets introduced to her new academy uniform, housing and establishments. Finally, as graduation season approaches, we get to see a few changes in appearance, establishing what she looked like before falling down the Twisted Wonderland rabbit hole. Literally.

hm been thinking a lot over the development over Ellis' character throughout the Heartslabyul chapter. Throughout the beginning (prologue), she gets thrown into a world where she always dreamed that some day she can escape to ever since her entrance at the Reform Academy school. That world being everything Twisted Wonderland is-- a magical world where nothing makes sense but does in her vision. A reel of fantasy where...

"Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrariwise, what it is, it wouldn't be, and what it wouldn't be, it would." - Alice.

A sudden whiplash of events that transpire in a matter like how cards get shuffled into place.

She's moody, she's sensitive, she's edgy, gloomy, scared/intimidated, frustrated, mourning, confused, angry, and just a mess of tears that could make a whole ocean.

Heartslabyul is her real introduction of a reality check.

Ik these are old drafts I've drawn but it pretty much sums up her expressions. Counting this as a reblog oh well lol

As the chapter progresses, she learns to revert back to the person she once forgot about so many years ago: herself.

She doesn't automatically develop just within Heartslabyul, as the story continues, so does she. Heartslabyul was only just a stepping tool for her healing.

The ending of Ch.1 made her realize she is opened to become more authentic as for someone that has been suppressed for a fixed amount of time, truly not being able to truly express themselves freely, and for the first time as the unbirthday party gets celebrated...

She smiles.

introducing Ellis Maravilla, I finally made a bio for her she is my Twisted Wonderland oc and I based her off of-- as you can see by her design parents, Disney's Alice and American Mcgee's Alice Liddel. Of course this is Twisted Wonderland so of course she is a little bit 'twisted" like all the other canon characters.

I've never mentioned abt the gloves haven't I, well they're separate pairs gifted by ADeuce as a symbol of their friendship. Ace gave her the red pair and Deuce gave the blue pair, she couldn't decide which so she put on one of each. I took this idea reference from Disney's Alice as there was this scene where Alice ate pieces of the mushroom that gave her the ability to become big and small height size while trying to defeat the Queen of Hearts.

She stumbled into Twisted Wonderland thinking she is in a dream. She constantly tells herself to wake up..but only then that she realizes she's stuck in a world full of magic and endless curiousity.

And abt her name, I posted somewhere how I wanted an alternative to the name "Alice", and "Ellis" came to my mind 💀💀💀As for "Maravilla", I grew up with the spanish dub version of Disney's Alice and maravilla means "Wonder" in spanish. So it's a play on words lol

This description is getting too long for me so I'll add in the relationships with characters in another post or so

:D also with the help of Crewel, she's able to find a good wardrobe of clothing and styles
