"Oh, yeah... I, uh, I got a cat," he explained sheepishly, looking down at his forearm that was now littered with scratches. It wasn't even just that the idea of him with a pet would've been laughable when they were in high school, but even more so that every time he'd explained so far, he'd stumbled over the 'I adopted it was my kinda, sorta, but not definitely girlfriend' part of it.

hi!!! totally up to you if you want to write it (it maybe too self indulgent ahhhhh). but i was think of bau!reader (or bau!adjacent) who has known spencer for forever and has watched him "glow up"/become more confident and is now dating him, but is now more self-conscious that he will realize that he is totally out of her league since women are now hitting on him all the time and he is able to basically flip men in the field. something like that if you get the vibe? just a girlfriend who is worried her boyfriend will outgrow her and is scared they'll breakup. feel free to ignore! love your work sm!!!
a league of your own | S.R.
as your boyfriend seemingly evolves, you grow increasingly aware of the feeling of being left behind
who? spencer reid x fem!reader category: flangst (heavy on the fluff, more like internalized angst) content warnings: in a bar but neither spencer nor reader are drinking, follows the events of 14x12 "hamelin", discusses the pronunciation of asmr word count: 1.4k a/n: self conscious reader is so important to me. this is for everyone who has a hard time naming their feelings. thank you for requesting!!

“He flipped him over the table?” You asked, raising your eyebrows as you looked up at Tara, who was talking about your boyfriend’s maneuvering of Arthur Brodie in the field. In passing, you had heard about the mark left on the suspect’s forehead, but you hadn’t heard the story of how he had gotten it – until now.
Bringing her cup to her lips, Tara nodded at you, her expression clarifying that it was as impressive as it sounded. You sighed at the newest addition to Spencer’s ever-evolving personality, it was hard not to think of them as grievances against you, but that’s what it felt like.
You looked over your shoulder to the bar, trying to scope out where he had disappeared to before you spotted a familiar mess of brown curls. From where you were standing, you could see him holding two drinks in his hands, but it wasn’t until he shifted his stance that you saw the girl that he was speaking with. “And that’s three,” Luke observed, shaking his head in disbelief as he watched the same scene as you.
Emily asked what he was talking about, but you tuned them out as you watched the interaction. You already knew this was the third woman to hit on him since the team entered the bar thirty minutes ago.
There was no mistaking it, your boyfriend was easy on the eyes, and you weren’t naïve enough to try to deny that fact. Still, you were having a hard time adjusting to seeing him garner exponentially more attention from people at the bar. “You better go get your man, or she might steal him away from you,” Luke taunted, nodding his head in the direction of the bar.
“What?” Your head snapped back in the direction of the bar, eyes wide as you peered across the bar where Spencer was talking animatedly to the blonde in front of him before he looked behind himself and gestured to you, prompting you to wave timidly at the both of them.
The girl sneered in your direction before spinning on her heel and trudging away, freeing your boyfriend to return to you at the table. “They didn’t have any limes, so they put a lemon in your Shirley Temple,” Spencer said apologetically, dropping a kiss on the part of your hair as he set the glass in front of you.
Shaking your head, you smiled up at him, “That’s fine, thank you.” You told him, placing your hand on the glass and spinning it to better access the straw.
If he noticed anything odd, he didn’t comment on it, instead deciding to contribute to Tara and Rossi’s conversation on ASMR.
As the team continued to chat around you, you just continued spinning your glass on the oak table, becoming more and more conscious of the way your thighs stuck to the leather booth. Your eyes only flicked up when you noticed people staring at you, “What?” You asked, heart racing as you had been caught daydreaming.
The five remaining members of your team at the table were all looking at you with similar curious looks, “Rossi’s headed out. He was just saying goodbye,” Penelope said, reaching across the table and awkwardly patting your hand.
“Oh,” you responded meekly, “Have a good night. Tell Krystall I said hi.” You shifted in your seat, the sound of your legs unsticking from the seat seemingly amplified tenfold in your self-conscious state.
As Dave made his way out, Spencer gestured for you to move over so he could sit next to you. Tara got up to get in line for the restroom and Luke and Garcia weaseled their way into one of their patented bickering matches, you nearly jumped when you felt Spencer’s hand settle on your thigh. “Alright,” he muttered, turning his head to you, “What’s up with you tonight?”
Frowning, you looked up at Spencer, brown eyes studying your face as he hunted for even the slightest hint of what had gotten into you. The only problem was you didn’t have a name for it yourself. It could be perceived as jealousy, but you weren’t concerned with anyone actually taking Spencer’s attention away from you, you were just feeling feelings. Unnamable feelings.
You brought your glass closer to you, the condensation being a welcome relief on your warm skin, pinching the straw as you took a sip of your drink. “Nothing’s up,” you said, stirring the lemon wedge around in your glass.
“Are you sure? You look flushed,” he said, pursing his lips thoughtfully before he gently pushed his water in your direction.
Brushing off his concern, you turned your attention to watching Luke and Garcia in an animated discussion on how to pronounce ASMR – Penelope insisted she was right, and Luke didn’t necessarily care either way. You only moved your gaze when the blonde from earlier passed by again, dragging her palm over Spencer’s shoulder, causing him to lean into you.
Flustered, you took a long sip of your drink before setting it back down, “Can we go?” You asked Spencer, pressing your lips together in a thin line as you looked at him expectantly.
As he began to put puzzle pieces together, he nodded, standing up and gathering your glasses to set them on the bar. You said your goodbyes before leading the way out and flipping Luke off as he called out something about protection, something that would have previously left Spencer embarrassed and stammering, but now made him chuckle as he held the door open for you.
Part of you was grateful for this sort of evolution in Spencer, he was, after all, more confident in every aspect of his life. Now waiting for the metro, you looked at him, longer hair, his work shirt unbuttoned at the top and pushed up to his elbows. The light breeze in the tunnel moved his hair as he crossed his arms in front of his chest, “Are you alright, love?”
Your shoulders drooped helplessly at the pet name, “You shoved a guy on a table?”
His face fell, “Is that what this is about? Me using force against a suspect?”
Quickly, you shook your head, “No, no. He pushed Tara, it’s not that at all,” you scrambled to reassure him, knowing he was afraid that his time in federal prison had made him a violent person. “It’s just… you shoved a guy onto a picnic table and you’re getting hit on by people in bars and you’re dressing differently and I’m just… me.” You hold your hands out as if you’re on display, looking down at the sundress you had thrown on and the sneakers you wore for comfort instead of style.
“Are you jealous that I’m getting attention from other people?” He asked, “Because I’ve never encouraged anyone.” That was true, last week a deputy sheriff had made a move on your boyfriend, and the only thing he had gotten in return was an earful on how you had made the deduction that eventually solved the case.
Bowing your head, you regretted ever saying anything in the first place, “No,” you groaned, “What’s that term for someone who can’t name their emotions? That’s me. Right now. At this moment.”
Spencer chuckled at your frustration, “It’s called alexithymia, and there’s nothing wrong with that.”
“I’ve watched you change in front of my very own eyes in the last year, and I guess I’m just feeling left behind,” you admitted. “You’re a changed person and there’s nothing different about me.”
He tilted his head to the side curiously, “Can I ask you something?”
“Anything,” you said desperately, hoping to get to the bottom of your conflicting emotions.
“Did you love me before?”
You froze, looking up at him, “Of course.”
He raised his eyebrows, reaching out and tucking a strand of hair behind your ear, “And you love me now?”
Nodding, you stepped closer to him, “Very much so.”
“Then there’s nothing else I could possibly ask of you,” he told you, smiling as you blushed. “You don’t need to change in time with me, and – since we’re being honest – I’ve always felt like I’m the one lagging behind you. So, maybe I’ve just been playing catch-up.”
You frowned, moving even closer to him as the platform grew crowded, “Well, now I feel ridiculous.”
“Not ridiculous,” he murmured, “Just human,” Spencer amended.

Fade into you | Adam x GN! Reader
Relationship: Romantic Warnings: None!
Tumblr media
It was a common thing to have lazy mornings with your husband. Especially if he had to do something later in the day, he would spend most of his morning cuddling up next to you while you attempt to push him off. Not that it ever worked, and he always showed up late to his events anyway.
“What’s five more minutes? Not like they will miss me.”
“Baby, they are hosting your party.”
“Ahh who needs that when I have you?” Was what he always said before sinking further into your chest.
It seemed that today was no different. You awoke to a weight on your chest and hands under your shirt. Already knowing who it is, you place a hand on your husband's hair and comb through it with your fingers. He hums, giving your sides a squeeze for a moment. You tug on it slightly, making him groan and you laugh a little.
“Is there anything on the agenda today?” You ask him, just as you do every morning. He says nothing, just humming as his hands move under you to your back. You giggle at the feeling of his fingers brushing against your soft spots, hoping Adam doesn’t take advantage of his weight on you. To your relief, he doesn’t, just fully holding you. He shifts a bit, getting comfortable between your legs before once again resting fully on you. You tug at his hair once again, a way of asking him to answer.
“No.” He gruffs, putting his face further into your neck.
“No? Are you sure? If I call Lute, she would tell me the same thing?” He smacks his teeth and bites back.
“There is no need to call danger tits. There is nothing happening today.” You pull your hands up in mock defeat.
“Sorry. You normally lie about these things.”
“No, I don’t.”
“Honey, you literally missed a meeting with Sera and Emily once because you would rather be in bed than do anything else.” You coo, combing his hair again. You feel him take a deep breath as he removes his head from your neck, now looking at you.
“Try being dead for all of humanity.” You roll your eyes and boop at his nose.
“While I may not have been dead for as long as you and Eve have old man, I am still pretty old compared to the newer saints.”
“Winners.”
“No. That is a dumb name. I will never be called or call the others winners.” You argue.
“No? Are you sure?”
“Positive.” You affirm, before feeling Adam attack your sides, tickling you. You shriek in shock before devolving into laughter. You try to escape, however it proves futile as Adam is on top of you.
“What are we called?” He asked, still tickling you. Through your peals of laughter, you shout out,
“SAINTS!” Adam mimics an incorrect buzzer sound as he starts to now get at your tickle spots faster. With the feeling of tears gathering in your eyes, your cheeks and tummy hurting, you can’t help but give in to his stupid demands. “F-Fine! We are c-called winners- STOP AH-”
He stops at your hasty white flag, a smug smirk on his face. Catching your breath, you look at your husband. His brown hair was a mess, just as it always was. His tan skin looked wonderful in the heaven light that peaked through your window. It seemed that he was also admiring you, as his smirk began to soften into a small smile, a look of utter fondness and love in his eyes. You wonder if you had a similar look on your face. Rather than ponder it any longer, you pull Adam down by his shirt for a kiss. He lets out a gasp at the suddenness of your grab before sinking into the kiss. Your hands fly to his face as his hands go down to your sides, lightly passing the tickle spots he has abused previously. You giggle a little into the kiss, before pushing his face away.
“I seriously hope you had nothing important today. You don’t have a choice now but to stay with me.”
“Babe, I would stay with you for eternity.” He says, his voice soft, the voice he reserved for you and you alone. You smile and pull him into another kiss.

loll i was going to joke that this was the one year Adam forgot the extermination.

No Matter How Far You Run (I'll Always Be Right Behind You) (Alex Morgan x Reader)
Tumblr media
You were always told that your wedding day was supposed to be a momentous, and joyful occassion, if that were true, why were you feeling the way you were feeling? Why did you feel like you would never be good enough for Alex Morgan?
You’d gotten into the room over an hour ago, and for nearly the entirety of that hour, you’d been pacing, your palms sweaty and your heart racing, the bow tie around your neck growing tighter and tighter.
“What about the flowers Em, did we get the right flowers???” You ask, your heart nearly beating out of your chest.
“We got the right flowers Y/N, I promise.”
“And the cake?” You ask, screeching to a halt, your hands running down your face. “What about the cake Em?”
“We got the right cake, Y/N, you gotta calm down, okay?” Emily says, her own hands beginning to shake, your anxiety transferring to her in some form of mass hysteria.
“What if I screw up my vows?” You ask, giving Emily no time to answer before you’re asking another question.
“What if Alex decides I’m not worth it?” You gulp, your pacing increasing in speed.
You continue to mutter unintelligibly under your breath words that Emily can’t quite make out, your anxiety only increasing her own.
The door slowly creaks open, Kelley O’Hara poking her head through the crack.
“Has she calmed down yet?” She asks, her brown orbs widening when she realizes Emily is nearly shaking just as much as you are.
“I’ll take that as a no.” She says, slipping through the crack, the door clicking shut behind her.
“Y/N, tell me what you’re thinking...” Kelley whispers gently, giving your shoulder a comforting squeeze.
You sigh deeply, running your fingers through your hair, your mouth opening and closing as you search for words to describe the emotions you’re feeling.
“She’s too good for me Kel.” You whisper, the shorter woman shaking her head as you turn to her, tears in your eyes.
“You’re perfect for one another.” She whispers, tucking a loose strand of hair dangling in your face behind your ear.
You shake your head, sniffling.
“What if she regrets marrying me?” You mumble, your words so soft Kelley has to lean in to hear them.
“She would never regret marrying you.” She smiles softly, her hands settling on your shoulders before she gives them a squeeze.
You swallow hard, your Y/E/C orbs darting around Kelley’s face considering you’re unable to look her in the eye.
You shake your head, your mouth opening and closing as you try to find your words the sound of Emily’s chair scooting across the floor making you stiffen.
“She loves you Y/N.” Emily whispers as she places a comforting hand on your tuxedo covered back.
“It’ll all be okay, alright?” Kelley whispers, cupping your cheek with one hand, running her thumb along your cheek in comfort.
You nod, taking a deep breath as you try to calm yourself down, but it’s to no avail your inner turmoil again rearing its ugly head.
Kelley and Emily’s shoulders sag, the pair feeling ease, despite the fact that you were beginning to tremble again.
The room, though large enough to comfortably house a group of people feels claustrophobic, the room closing in on you as your heart again begins to race.
“I can’t do this.” You mutter, causing both Emily and Kelley to jump as you turn on your heels and sprint out of the room, dashing in a random direction, putting as much distance between the pair as you possibly can.
************************************************************************
You weren’t at all sure where you ended up in the venue, your sense of location completely off as you sprinted in random directions until you found a random room to camp out in.
You cover your face with your trembling hands; your entire body beginning to shake.
You knew you shouldn’t feel this way, you knew that this was supposed to be the happiest day of your life, but still, you couldn’t escape your own head, one thought followed by another, then another, each thought worse than the last.
A part of you wanted to remain hidden, to curl up on the other side of the door until the wedding was over, but you knew you couldn’t do that, not to her.
No matter how much you thought she deserved better, you couldn't break her heart like that. Despite that thought, you remain still, unable to force yourself to your feet.
You go ridged at the sound of approaching heels, your chest tightening as you hold your breath, hoping that whoever it was would pass by, unaware of your presence.
Unfortunately for you, the clicking heels stop just behind the door you’re currently leaning against.
“Y/N?” You hear Alex’s soft whisper, and your eyes widen, the door slowly creaking open.
“W-Wait, we’re not supposed to see each other.” You stammer, the woman on the other side of the door chuckling.
“You’re more important than a silly tradition right now.”
You shake your head, grabbing the edge of the door, holding it closed.
“I know how important it is to you Alex.” You mutter, your throat bobbing.
Alex falls silent before the door creaks open a bit wider, her hand slipping between the crack, her palm facing upwards, her fingers wiggling in a silent invitation.
You take her hand with no sense of hesitation, the tightness in your chest ebbing away slightly.
The two of you sit in silence, Alex’ fingers delicately playing with your own, the rapid racing of your heart decreasing with each passing second.
“Do you want to tell me what’s wrong? Emily and Kelley said you might be having second thoughts...?” She asks and you take a breath, your throat bobbing as your hands grow clammy.
You remain silent for a beat, the woman on the opposite side of the door squeezing your hand.
“Do you...” You stiffen at the sound of the crack in Alex’s voice as she speaks words you know she wished she never would have to speak.
“Do you not want to get married?” She asks, her voice quivering, your heart sinking in your chest at the soft utterance.
You remain silent, your mouth opening and closing as you try to put your feelings into words.
“Alex, there’s nothing I want more than to marry you, but...” You close your eyes, your breath catching in your throat.
“What if you regret it?” You whisper, the woman on the other side of the door remaining silent as you put your thoughts into words.
“I’m just going to screw it up, I’ve already screwed it up by running away and hiding like a coward.” You say, knocking your head against the wooden door behind you.
“I’m not good enough for you, you deserve so much better, you deserve someone who isn’t going to run and hide on what’s supposed to be the best day of your life, and that’s not me.”
Your heart clenches in your chest when Alex’s hand leaves your own, a lump forming in your throat.
“Close your eyes.” She whispers, your brows furrowing as your eyes flutter shut.
The door creaks open softly, your breath hitching as Alex’s hands settle on your chest before finding your shoulders, leading you to believe that she too has her eyes shut, following the tradition she holds dear.
“You’re more than good enough for me.” She whispers, her fingers tangling in the fine hairs at the base of your neck.
Her forehead rests gently against yours, her lips ghosting your own as she whispers.
“You’re all I’ve ever wanted. I couldn’t and never would regret marrying you.” She says, bumping the tip of her nose against yours.
“You didn’t screw anything up, and no matter how many times you run away, I’ll always be right behind you, because I love you, Y/N, and you’re worth chasing after.” She whispers, a tear streaming down your cheek, one that Alex quickly swipes away with the tip of her thumb.
You sniffle, covering her hands with your own as you kiss her lips softly, her manicured nails scrapping the nape of your neck gently.
Reluctantly you part, neither going far as your noses brush, a small smile stretching across your face.
“So, should we go get married now?” You whisper a grin stretching across your face as the woman giggles, pecking your lips.
“I think we should... As long as you still want to...?” She whispers and you smile, leaning your head back to kiss the tip of her nose.
“There’s nothing I’d want more.”

met you first | spencer reid x fem!reader
Tumblr media
warning: slight angst, spencer feeling sad, awkward cute spencer
word count: 1.8k
summary: spencer tells the bau girls about a girl he met, morgan introduces his new girlfriend.
a/n: wrote this in one sitting at work, enjoy the angst. reblogs, comments and requests appreciated <3 comment to be added to my taglist!
the team was gathered at rossi’s mansion for his bi-monthly dinner party he liked to host. rossi was standing by the stove, tossing a pan of incredible smelling tomato sauce.
hotch was to his left, analysing every ingredient the older man added to the dish, trying to memorise it so he could recreate it for jack.
the girls and spencer sat at the island, jj and garcia were deep in conversation about how henry and will were doing, jj happily explaining that henry started to take his first steps.
spencer fidgeted with his hands, his leg bobbing up and down as he sat. emily glanced over to spencer, aware he felt kind of awkward and out of place, she decided to speak up.
“do you guys know when morgan is arriving- apparently he’s bringing his new girlfriend.”
this caused the other two girls to turn their attention to emily, spencer also looked up from his fixed gaze on the marble tiles.
“new girlfriend? i didn’t know morgan was capable of being with a woman longer than just one night.” garcia chuckled out, causing the group to laugh with her.
“it seems like everyone is coupling up nowadays…just you and me reid, you can be my wingman.” emily nudged spencer, causing the younger man to let out a breathy chuckle.
“actually…” he began, feeling his face warm at the thought. “i met someone..”
the looks between the girls ranged from disbelief to amazed. “tell us more- you can’t just leave it at that.” jj pushed, eyes fixed on spencer.
garcia nodded, the pink bows in her hair moving along with her. “spill the tea, reid.”
spencer felt his face grow warm. “i- well— i haven’t even asked her out yet— but she’s so…kind…and so funny and beautiful- god she’s beautiful..” he mumbled out, his mind wandering back to the first time he met you over a week ago.
~
it was a typical wednesday afternoon, spencer decided to drop by his local coffee shop before going to the bau, the team had worked a late case out of state and hotch had given everyone the morning off to refresh.
he stood at the back of the line, gently drumming his thin fingers over his satchel. the line moved pretty quickly so he wasn’t complaining, his brown eyes darted around the room taking in all the small quirks of the coffee shop.
his attention was caught when a little boy, no more than six years old, began crying in-front of him. he noticed that the young boy had wanted the last piece of chocolate cake, and the person before him had bought it.
the young teen boy at the counter didn’t know what to do in that situation, quickly grabbing his supervisor to deal with the crying boy and his mother.
that’s when his eyes landed on you, he deduced that you couldn’t be more than twenty seven. you had the company apron hanging loosely around your neck accompanied by a black name tag that read ‘y/n’.
“hey buddy what’s wrong?” you spoke, your voice soft and kind.
the little boys big blue teary eyes flickered to his mother and back to you. “i wanted the cake.” he mumbled out, clinging to his mothers side.
your eyes scanned the glass cabinet, noticing the lack of cake. your eyes flickered over the mother and the son, before nodding. “give me one moment okay bud?” the small boy nodded before you wandered into the back of the coffee shop.
not even ten seconds later you came back holding a plate with one slice of chocolate cake. the little boy’s face lit up instantly as you handed him the plate.
“i was saving this slice incase a very special little guy came in- and look here you are! i hope you enjoy it.” your smile was so warm, the kindness meeting your e/c eyes.
his mother thanked you profusely and paid, walking off to take a seat somewhere in the café. spencer was up next, he stumbled up to the counter as you greeted him with a smile.
“hi, what can i get for you today?” your voice was so melodic that he nearly zoned out.
“h-hey- can i get a black coffee with…..10 sugars.” he mumbled the last part, his eyes flickering away from you for a moment.
you let out a light chuckle, punching the order into your computer. “you’ve got a sweet tooth then i assume?”
spencer rubbed the nape of his neck, his eyes studying your pretty features. “y-yeah i suppose you could say that— um how much do i owe you?” he reached into his pocket to pull out his wallet.
you shook your head, moving to the left to start making his drink. “don’t worry about it…” you trailed off, his name not yet known to you.
“spencer…and thank you.” he felt a blush creep onto his face as he watched you meticulously pour his coffee into a cup. you began to add the sugars one by one when spencer decided to speak up.
“that was really nice of you- what you did for that boy.”
your eyes met his as you smiled. “i was saving that piece of cake for lunch but…he clearly needed it more than i did.” a soft chuckle left your lips and spencer could swear he felt his heartbeat triple in speed.
you finished up making his coffee, popping a lid onto the cup. as you went to pass the coffee, spencer’s fingers brushed yours causing a spark from the sudden touch.
“have a nice day, spencer..i hope to see you here again.”
he nodded, evidently flustered. “y-yeah me too..thank you.”
~
after that interaction, spencer went to the coffee shop every morning just to see you, it became part of his routine. some days it made him late to work he honestly he didn’t care, seeing you every morning was worth it.
spencer was brought back to the present by a nudge from emily, her dark eyes staring into his soul. “when are you going to ask her out?”
spencer shook his head. “i- i don’t know…i don’t want to mess things up..” he mumbled ouch scratching his neck.
“mess what up, pretty boy?” morgan chuckled as he finally walked into the room, all eyes flickered onto him. and a few steps behind him…there you stood.
spencer’s eyes instantly flickered onto your form, you were wearing a simple black dress, a change to your usual apron and baggy jeans. his heart swelled, he couldn’t believe you were here- why were you here?
then he pieced it together, just as morgan brought an arm to rest around your waist, pulling you close to his side. his heart sank, his features dropping slightly.
“this is my girlfriend, y/n.” morgan let out a small chuckle before pressing a kiss to your temple. you smiled warmly towards the group, though it didn’t quite meet your eyes, your gaze finally landing on spencer.
“hey sweet tooth- i didn’t know you knew derek..” you trailed off, there was something off about how you spoke, your voice not holding your usually cheery tone.
a few sets of eyes flickered onto spencer as he awkwardly adjusted his seated position on the stool. “y-yeah we work together.”
“how do you know each other?” morgan mused, his grip on your waist not loosening.
“he comes to my coffee shop every morning.” i mumble with a smile, my eyes not leaving spencer’s form.
immediately emily knew that this was the girl spencer had been speaking about, to avoid further questions she spoke up. “god i need a drink- morgan pour me a glass of wine there would you?”
morgan nodded with a chuckle, pulling away from you and walking around the island to where rossi stored the glasses. spencer let out a small sigh of relief, knowing that emily had spoken up to draw away from the situation.
throughout the night spencer couldn’t help but steal glances in your direction, he was growing increasingly frustrated with the way morgan would rest his hands on you, how he would pull you closer to him every so often. he needed to take a breather.
when everyone was distracted his managed to slip out onto one of rossi’s many balconies. he pressed his calloused hands against the cool, stone balustrade. he let out a deep sigh, staring out into the dark night, rossi’s garden being lit up by the moon.
spencer heard the sliding door open and shut behind him, now aware of someone’s presence. “i’ll be in, in a minute..” he mumbled out, his voice low.
“hey..” you spoke, your voice traveling to his ears making his heart ache. he turned his gaze to you, you were now standing a foot away from him, leaning your back against the stone railing.
“i- sorry i thought you were someone else..” he mumbled out, not being able to draw his eyes from your moonlit body.
“are you okay…you seem off, spencer.”
he let out a small sigh, running a hand through his dark hair.
“yeah- im..im fine…i didn’t realise you were with morgan.” he muttered out, noticing the drop on your features.
“it’s…pretty new. i met him a few weeks ago..” you managed to whisper out, running your hand over your arm.
“a few weeks ago..” he repeated, which you replied with a curt nod.
you both stood in silence for a moment. you were aware of spencer’s crush on you..and you couldn’t help but feel something for him too.
spencer turned to face you, speaking up. “would things be different…” he trailed off, chewing on his bottom lip.
“different?”
“…if i had met you first.” he breathed out, studying your features for any sign of hope.
you averted your gaze, your eyes staring holes into the ground below you. you knew in your heart the answer, things would be different if you had met him first. but you didn’t, and you couldn’t change that.
he nodded, knowing your answer. he let out a small breath, adjusting the glasses that rested on his nose.
you had only started dating morgan, you didn’t know where you stood with everything. it was all new to you.
“i’m sorry.” you mumbled out, a hint of sadness laced in your words. spencer shook his head.
“it’s not your fault.”
you paused for a moment, turning back to the door. “i’m..going to get back to the party, they’ll notice..”
he nodded again, your words stung, he knew there was nothing he could do but pine for you.
“i’ll be in soon…i just need to think..”
you shuffled away from him, pulling the door open.
“spencer?” you called out, your hand on the open door.
he turned back to face you, his eyes scanning your form as the warm light from inside the house lit up your soft features.
“i wish i had met you first.” you mumbled out, before slipping back inside.

Summary: In your spare time, you and Emily start working on a puzzle in her office.
Pairing: Emily Prentiss/Reader
Word Count: 2429
Ao3
“You can refresh your email as much as you want,” JJ teased from the desk next to yours. “But it’s not going to make a case appear.”
You sighed, glancing over your computer at the blonde agent sitting across from you. Her light hair was thrown back in a ponytail, and she had a light blue blouse on and black slacks. Her legs were crossed, and she looked at you with amusement in her sparkling eyes.
“Four days,” you said, running a hand through your messy hair. “We haven’t had a case in four days.”
“For the first time since joining the team, I’m caught up on paperwork,” Luke commiserated from his desk a few feet away. “I never knew four days could feel so long.”
Spencer whirled around in his desk chair, his brown, curly hair flying in every direction. “A recent study found that bored participants tended to think more about time, which caused it to feel like it was moving slower. Since we’re accustomed to frequently working on cases, it’s only natural that the unexpected downtime we’re experiencing would cause us to feel that time is moving more slowly than it is.”
You set your hands on your desk and pushed yourself up to a standing position. “I’m going to see if Emily has anything for us. Maybe that’ll help time move faster.”
Spencer perked up. “Time doesn’t actually speed up when we’re occupied; it’s only our perception that—”
A groan from the rest of the team drowned out the rest of what Reid was going to say, as you navigated your way out of the bullpen and up the stairs toward Emily’s office.
You knocked twice on her door, straining to hear her response on the other side.
“Come in!”
You opened the door a crack and peeked your head through the space. “Are you busy?”
Emily cracked a smile. “As busy as any of you are.”
You made your way inside, closing the door behind you, and took a seat in one of the chairs opposite Emily’s desk. The Unit Chief’s raven hair hung in a curtain around her face, her bangs perfectly cut just below her eyebrows. She wore a long-sleeved red shirt—your favorite color on her.
“No new case yet?”
Emily sat forward in her chair, clasping her hands together and resting them on her desk. “Not yet, it appears all serial killers have taken the week off.”
“Do you have paperwork you need help with?”
Emily chuckled. “You’re so bored that you’re asking for paperwork?”
You frowned at her. “Em, I’m desperate.”
Emily’s brown eyes locked with yours for a moment. She bit her bottom lip—her tell that gears were turning, and an idea was forming in her mind.
Nodding, she opened one of her desk drawers, reaching for something you couldn’t see.
“Hotch left this in his desk when he resigned,” Emily said, setting a box down between you.
The top of the box showed a 1000-piece puzzle depicting dolphins cresting over waves, a sunset behind them.
You softened, thinking of the previous Unit Chief, who’d left the team to enter witness protection to keep himself and his young son safe from a serial killer.
“Aww, for Jack?”
“No,” Emily grinned. “It was for him. He loved puzzles, said they helped him focus on a case when he was stuck.”
You picked up the box, studying the image. There were a lot of similar shades of blue, but you hoped that would present enough of a challenge to keep you entertained while you waited for a case to come in.
“Are you gonna help me with this?” you asked.
From your first day at the BAU, being in the same room as Emily caused butterflies to flit around in your stomach. Her kind eyes, her dark hair, the confidence she strutted around the BAU with—you couldn’t help but feel drawn to her. But you’d never had the nerve to ask if she felt the same way.
You were sure she couldn’t. Even if she did, the HR nightmare of entering a relationship with your superior was likely something neither you nor Emily were willing to risk. You both loved your jobs too much, cared too much about helping people, to put any of that in jeopardy.
You watched Emily as she weighed your offer, her eyes flitting from yours to the stack of unfinished paperwork on her desk.
“It’s either the puzzle, or we sit in here in silence working on paperwork,” you said. “Which sounds more fun?”
“Fuck it,” Emily said. “A break wouldn’t hurt anyone.”
Your face lit up with a grin. “Exactly.”
You both relocated to the couch at the far end of her office, and you set the puzzle box on the coffee table in front of it. Emily cleared off the table while you opened the box and flipped the contents onto the table.
“Edges first?” you asked.
“What am I, a sociopath?” Emily joked. “Of course edges first.”
You giggled, searching through the pile for any border pieces. “In college, my ex-boyfriend refused to start with outside pieces when we’d work on puzzles together. He said it was too easy and he wanted to engage his brain.”
“Gee, why did you ever break up?” Emily asked dryly.
“He cheated on me. Repeatedly.”
“Like I said,” Emily paused, holding up a corner piece as evidence. “Sociopath.”
You tried, and failed, to fight the smile tugging at your lips. She was right—your ex, Sam, was a douchebag. You deserved better than how he treated you.
And you hoped that better was sitting next to you.
You fell into a comfortable silence as you worked, sorting through pieces. While Emily searched for edge pieces, you transitioned into organizing the middle pieces into piles by color.
Once that was done, you collaborated on putting the frame of the puzzle together—Emily assembling the sunset on the top half, and you focusing on the varying shades of blue that made up the water on the bottom half.
As you snapped the two halves of the border together, there was a knock at Emily’s door, startling both of you.
Emily grinned. “Come in!”
Penelope rushed through the door, file in hand. “We got a case.”
An hour ago, you would’ve loved nothing more. Now, you were already missing this one-on-one time with Emily.
“I guess we should clean this up,” you said, reaching for the box.
Emily put a hand out, stopping you. “That’s okay; we’ll leave it here. Work on it during our downtime.”
You raised an eyebrow at her, silently wondering when the next time would be that you had downtime. But you weren’t about to turn down the offer, so you nodded.
“I’ll grab the team.”
***
On the elevator ride back to the sixth floor at the end of the day, you felt yourself nodding off, head bobbing up and down in an attempt to keep yourself conscious.
The rest of the team was too exhausted to comment on it. The elevator ding startled you awake, and you moved through the BAU on autopilot, beelining for your desk and grabbing your bag so you could get home as soon as possible and sleep for a few hours before you had to pick up the case in the morning.
Fortunately, the case kept you in D.C., so you’d get to sleep in your own bed tonight. Throughout the day, the team scattered between the BAU, Metro P.D., and various crime scenes, assisting where you could.
But before you could hightail it to your car, the light on in Emily’s office caught your attention.
“See you tomorrow,” Tara mumbled, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.
“Yeah, see you tomorrow,” you said, making your way toward Emily.
You were too exhausted to bother with knocking—it had been a long, emotionally exhausting day, and you couldn’t bring yourself to care about protocol.
Emily was sitting up on her brown leather couch, her head tucked toward her chest, fast asleep. There was a puzzle piece in her hand.
You took a moment to memorize this moment, since you knew if you pulled out your phone to take a picture, Emily would actually murder you.
Her hair was still perfect, somehow, even after a day of running around. Her blouse and pants were wrinkled from all of the activity, and as you walked toward her, you saw that she’d even fallen asleep with her shoes on.
You reached out to gently touch her shoulder and whispered, “Emily.”
She woke with a start, wincing from the light but searching for danger.
“You’re fine,” you said softly. “You just fell asleep.”
“I wanted to… work on it,” she yawned, gesturing to the half-completed puzzle.
Earlier, while the team was building a profile and getting frustrated that things weren’t lining up, Emily suggested the puzzle. The team had gathered around the coffee table, debating which parts of the profile would need to be changed. The whole time, you kept your gaze on Emily, as if you were still the only two in the room.
You took a seat on the couch next to her. “We can work on it tomorrow.” Or so you hoped, assuming the case had wrapped up by then.
Em nodded but didn’t move. You slid forward on the couch to get a better look at the progress your team had made on the puzzle, and you were impressed. Most of the bottom half was done—the difficult part, mostly due to Spencer—which just left the hues of red, pink, orange, and gold of the sunset.
As you admired the puzzle, one piece jumped out to you—half red, half pink—and you saw immediately where it needed to go. You popped it into place and started searching for the next one.
Next to you, Emily took the piece she’d been holding and slid it into place. Surely it couldn’t hurt to add just a few more pieces. You could always drink coffee in the morning if you needed a pick-me-up.
Your previous exhaustion melted away as you focused on your task—entering a flow state where nothing mattered except the picture in front of you and the women beside you.
You weren’t sure how much time had passed when you found yourself staring at the last few gaps, scattered in various places around the image that needed to be filled in.
It wasn’t until you were down to your last three pieces—you and Emily had taken to silently alternating back and forth, and at this rate, you were poised to put the last piece in—that you realized there was one missing.
Maybe you were just tired, you told yourself. It had to be here somewhere. Hotch was too organized to have ever lost a piece.
You put down a piece that filled in the last piece of one of the dolphins. Emily finished off part of the sunset on the horizon line, but there was a gap where one piece needed to fill in the blueish-purple tints in the sky.
You frowned, glancing at the floor around you.
“Are we missing one?” Your voice was scratchy from tiredness and the fact that you and Emily had mostly worked in silence.
Next to you, Emily was silent as you peeked under the table before standing to search the couch cushions.
When you turned up empty, you sat back down with a sigh. “Well, that’s disappointing.”
You glanced over to Emily to find her face flushed and hands balled in her lap. Her beautiful, dark eyes wouldn’t quite meet yours.
“Are you okay?”
Her light skin turned an even deeper shade of red as she unballed her right fist. Sure enough, the missing piece was sitting in the middle of her palm.
You laughed. “Em, if you wanted to place the last piece yourself, you could’ve just said so.”
“It’s not that,” she said, putting the piece on the table but not in its spot. “I, um, didn’t want to finish it because I’ve really enjoyed spending time with you.” Her voice dropped to a whisper. “I didn’t want it to be over.”
Your heart raced. Were you deliriously tired, or was Emily really saying this?
You opened your mouth to respond, but when no sound came out, you closed it again.
Emily swore, burying her face in her hands. “I knew it,” her voice was muffled. “I knew I was reading this all wrong.”
She looked up to face you, and your heart sank in your chest. “I don’t want to make things uncomfortable for you; if you could just forget I even said that—”
“Em!” You interrupted. “I feel the same way.”
But Emily was already shaking her head. “No, you don’t have to say that. This was so inappropriate of me; I’m sorry, Y/N. I’m too tired to be thinking clearly…”
“Emily,” you said forcefully. You took her hand in yours and smiled, color flooding your cheeks. “You don’t understand. I feel the same way.”
The raven-haired beauty’s eyes widened as she took in your words. “Oh! Oh.”
“Yeah,” you said with a giggle. “But I know it would be complicated, and I don’t want to mess with either of our careers.”
Emily sobered at that. “Neither do I.”
“But…” you hedged, glancing at the clock. “It’s 4 in the morning, and we need to be back here in two hours, so the time for good decisions has already passed.”
Before you could lose your nerve, you picked up the last piece and snapped it into its place. But you couldn’t even bring yourself to marvel at the completed image, because the person sitting next to you was even more mesmerizing.
Pressing your palms against Emily’s face, you pulled her toward you until her lips were crashing against yours.
It felt even better to kiss her than you’d imagined. Her lips were soft, and even after a long day, she still smelled of her floral perfume. You ran your fingers through her soft hair, and Emily moaned against your mouth.
Emily’s hands gripped your waist, pulling you closer. Where you touched, your body hummed with electricity and desire.
Too soon, you pulled back.
“You have no idea how long I’ve been waiting for that,” you confessed.
“I’d hate to make you wait again,” Emily said, a teasing smile on her lips. “But if we want any sleep tonight, we should probably head out.”
You pretended to ponder that before shrugging.
“Who needs sleep?” you mumbled, throwing yourself once more into Emily’s welcoming embrace.

Exploring the idea of Euclideans going through moults. I think I kind of love it. I imagine it's utterly humiliating for a proud guy like Bill to be looking so ridiculous (and with his shape so uneven!!) so extra angst potential too
But, y'know, had to add his boyfriend being endeared by his ugly-cuteness and squish. I always love petting my snake after she sheds, her colors get so vibrant too :]c
He looks so disgusting and naked I almost feel like I should be tagging it as nudity he's so gross. If I saw that damn thing in my living room I'd stomp on it until it was a small brown stain

Tumblr media
Aaron Hotchner X Teen Daughter Reader
Thank you for over 500 followers!!
Hey its been a while since I wrote one of these terribly sorry, It's tje summer holidays now so I will work on them more.
Request: Hi, can I lose Aaron Hotchner with his daughter who does theater, the reader was going to debut in a play as Juliet
Third person pov...
Y/N Hotchner was in her highschool Theatre group, she was sit on the stage absently listening to what her drama teacher was talking about, the 15 year old had been in the theatre club since she started highschool.
As she sits her teacher talks talking. "The play we are doing this years class is Romeo and Juliet" He tells the group of Female and Male students, they all gasp and start taking to one another whsipers filled the air.
Their Drama teacher chuckles at how excited they all sound before clapping to get their attention again. "Alright Alright! Settle down students" once it was quiet the teacher began talking again.
"Now I have already thought about parts, For Juliet I have chosen..." the H/C teen was half listening to her teacher half not as she swung her legs.
"Y/N Hotchner"
Y/N jumps in surprise and snaps her head over to her teacher and sees the rest of her club watching her, she looks around nervously. "Y/N you shall be Juliet" her E/C eyes widened at that.
The teens jaw drops in shock. "..huh?" She muttered completely shocked the hall silent before everyone starts clapping for her, Y/N quickly stands up from the stage and stands next to her Drama teacher.
'Juliet huh' she thought to herself as her teachers calls out the other parts for the play.
An hour later the teen is leaving school, the script for the play in hand her speaking parts underlined. "Juliet huh.." she muttered to herself before leaving the school grounds and making her way to her Dads work.
She gets through security and the reception desk relatively quick before walking to the elevators and pressing the floor for the BAU.
As she waits she glances down at the script reading over her lines, once the doors open she walks out again still reading the script and into tje bullpen of the BAU.
The door swung open, and Y/N entered the office, vibrant and unaffected by her father’s heavy workload. She was dressed in a simple black ensemble, her hair cascading in soft waves. At fifteen, she had grown into a confident young woman, and she wore that confidence like a second skin.
“Dad! Are you busy?” she asked, glancing at Emily before returning her focus to Hotch.
“Not at all. You came at the right time,” he said, his voice shifting into the gentle timbre he reserved for her. “Your entrance is always welcome.”
Y/N’s face broke into a wide smile as she crossed the room to hug her father tightly, warmth radiating between them. “I’m glad! I have something really exciting to tell you!”
“Okay, let’s hear it,” Hotch urged, though he already sensed what was to come.
“I’m going to debut as Juliet in ‘Romeo and Juliet’ next month!” Her excitement bubbled over, lacing each word with passion. “I wanted to invite you and the team to come see it.”
Hotch felt his heart swell at the sight of her enthusiasm. “That’s wonderful, Y/N! I’m so proud of you,” he said, more convinced than ever that she would shine on stage. But his pragmatism chipped away at those feelings; the BAU often came first, not leaving much room for personal endeavors.
“What’s the time?” he asked, noting the delicate balance he needed to maintain between work and family.
“It’s Sunday at seven! Please say you’ll come!” She looked at him, her deep brown eyes sparkling with hope.
“I’ll be there,” he promised honestly. “And I’ll let the team know. I’m sure they’d love to support you too.”
Y/N grinned. “Thanks, Dad! You’re the best!” Triumphantly, she slid a flyer for the play across his desk, where pink and lavender roses entwined around cursive letters announcing the performance.
As he watched her leave, a swell of warmth filled his chest. Emily stood nearby, watching both father and daughter with a wistful expression.
“Y/N is remarkable,” she said, patting Hotch’s shoulder. “You really should be proud.”
“I am,” Hotch replied, a rare vulnerability surfacing. “She makes it easy.”
Later that afternoon, the team gathered in Hotch’s office for the customary briefing. The scent of freshly baked coffee lingered in the air, fueling their energy as they prepared for yet another case to dissect. JJ, Reid, and Rossi filed in, each of them taking their usual spots around the room.
“Hey, Hotch,” JJ began, her smile brightening the room. “What’s the latest on the case?”
Before he could reply, he caught the wave of nerves unfolding in the pit of his stomach. “Actually, before we dive into the details, I have something else to share,” he interjected, causing the team to perk up with curiosity. “My daughter, Y/N, is making her debut as Juliet in ‘Romeo and Juliet’ on next month on Sunday, I’d like it if you all came to support her.”
Surprisingly, the room erupted into a chorus of enthusiastic agreement.
“Of course! I wouldn’t miss it!” JJ declared, her eyes dancing with excitement.
“I’ve always wanted to see her act!” Reid chimed in, adjusting his glasses, the gears in his mind clearly already turning with thoughts of Shakespearean analysis.
“Count me in too,” Rossi added, a smile playing on his lips. “The kid’s got talent. It runs in the family, I bet.”
Hotch’s heart warmed. It was moments like these that reminded him the BAU was more than just a job; they were a collective family bound together by loyalty and support, just like him and Y/N.
As the evening wore on, they dove into the intricacies of their latest case, but even amidst the discussions of serial behavior and profiling, Aaron found his thoughts returning to Y/N. His heart swelled with pride at the thought of her in that iconic gown, delivering lines that had stood the test of time.
At precisely seven o’clock on Sunday night a month later, the theater buzzed with excitement. The faint sound of chatter flitted through the air as Hotch and his team took their seats in the front row. The theater itself was a labyrinth of richly decorated walls and elegant velvet curtains that framed the stage.
When the lights dimmed, and the chatter gave way to an anticipative silence, Hotch felt a pang of nervousness in his stomach. He glanced at his colleagues, who were whispering about the anticipated performances.
Then it happened. The lights came up, illuminating the stage, and Y/N appeared in her maiden role, a delicate visage of youthful passion and raw talent. With every line she delivered, Hotch could see the embodiment of countless hours spent rehearsing in the family living room, her voice lilting and vibrant, each syllable dripping with emotion.
The performance flowed seamlessly as she danced across the stage, her essence intertwining with the tragic love story of Romeo and Juliet. Each tragic moment hung heavy in the air, and Hotch’s heart raced with pride.
When the final curtain fell, the applause resonated like a heart beating, filling the theater with affirmation—for Y/N and for the team who had gathered to support her. The lights brightened, and as Y/N took her bow, her gaze locked with her father’s.
He gives his daughter a huge proud smile and blew her a kiss which she returned a wide happy grin on her young face as she bowed to tje audience, a successful performance for her and her class.
The end!
Hope you liked this oneshot, so sorry for the wait, sorry for any spelling or grammar mistakes.
Requests are still open!

Paul Lahote x reader (fluff/angst)
Just a random little idea that I had.
I hope you enjoy - if you have any feedback I would love to hear it!
W/C: 1262
I was beyond angry as I glanced at my boyfriend in front of me. Trying my hardest, I willed myself to calm down. Exploding with anger wasn’t going to help anyone. Deciding to be the bigger person I tried to back away from him, trying to keep my wolf at bay. I could only hope that Paul would do the same. As I took steps away from Paul he stepped closer to me, shaking in anger. I could feel the anger radiating off him.
“You’re friends with the leech lover.” He growled at me. It came across as more of a statement rather than a question. I didn’t respond, knowing that it was best if we talked about it another time. When we weren’t so worked up.
“We can talk about this another time.” I hissed at him, gritting my teeth together. My response seemed to make him angrier.
Without warning he pushed me up against the wall.
I heard Jared and Leah yell at him, but he didn’t seem to pay attention to them. Without realising what I was doing, my hand moved up and slapped him across the face. The room went silent, the only sound was our heavy breathing as I took a step forward. Tilting my head up my eyes bore into Paul’s. His brown eyes were full of fury but one thing I didn’t expect to see was fear. My eyes widened as I realised what was about to happen before he exploded into his grey wolf, his claws digging into me making me fall back.
I didn’t feel the pain at first, though I heard a scream that sounded much like mine. The pain hit all at once and I saw the grey wolf above me before everything turned dark.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Pain was the only thing I felt. It radiated throughout my body and left a bitter taste in my mouth. I could hear breathing to my left and the continuous beeping of machines. My chest felt heavy as a groan escaped me. I tried to peel my eyes open to make sense of what was happening. When my eyes finally cooperated with me, a clean white ceiling was the first thing that I saw.
A hospital.
Internally I knew where I was - the overly sterile smell, the incessant beeping of the heart monitor and the bright white walls only confirmed this. I just couldn’t piece together why. My eyes travelled further around the room where I was met with Emily sitting in the chair next to me looking at me anxiously with Sam standing behind her, the same look etched onto his face. When my eyes met Emily’s, she grabbed my left hand in hers. I looked at her hand in confusion when I saw the bandages on my chest.
Suddenly everything came flooding back. Paul. The heaviness in my chest grew and I could feel my breathing pick up. Everything seemed too loud, too much. There seemed to be a ringing sound that reverberated across the room. Sam stepped forward seeing my panic and Emily’s hand tightened around my own.
“Calm down. You’re okay. You’re safe. Paul is safe.” His words grounded me slightly, the ringing sound stopping as tears started to stream down my face.
“Is he okay?” I asked. My throat ached as I said the words. Sam gave me a curt nod as the door opened. Half of me wished that it was Paul. The other half was too afraid for it to be Paul. I wasn’t afraid of him. I didn’t want him to be angry at me.
However it wasn’t Paul that walked through the door, but Carlisle. His golden eyes met mine as his brow furrowed.
“You healed rather quickly.” He muttered to himself.
“Wolf healing doc.” I attempted to joke. The sound of my own voice made me cringe as did the pain that came with the words. Carlisle gave me a small smile before his eyes flickered down to the board in his hands.
“He got you on your chest, neck and chin. You’re going to be on bedrest for at least 2 weeks - wolf or not. Definitely no exercise, no phasing and certainly no shouting.” My jaw clenched at his words, but I nodded nonetheless. Carlisle continued to tell me about an ointment I had to apply before he showed me how to re-bandage the wounds.
With a small “thank you” he left the room, leaving me with Sam and Emily once again.
“Is he okay?” I asked the pair. Needing to know that he hadn’t and wasn’t doing anything stupid. Emily gave me a gentle smile.
“He’s beating himself up, but he’s okay. You should get some sleep.” She said to me. I nodded and settled back into my bed before closing my eyes.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
The next time I woke up, Paul was in the chair next to my bed. His red-rimmed eyes met mine before more tears fell from his brown eyes.
I stretched out my hand towards Paul wanting him to grab it. When he did, I intertwined our fingers and took one of his larger hands in mine before tracing the lines on his palms smiling to myself. Even though I wasn’t looking at him, I could feel Paul’s eyes burning holes into me. After a few moments I finally looked at him.
“I’m sorry.” I whispered to him, my voice raspy and soft. “I shouldn’t have put you in that position. I need you to promise me something.”
I glanced up at him, peering through my lashes to see his gaze intensely on my face. His eyes left mine to trail along the scratches that now sat on my chin and neck before meeting mine again. He gave me a hesitant nod as if he was afraid of what I was about to say.
“If you ever feel like you need to cool off then you just go. Don’t even think about it. You don’t have to tell me why or for how long. Okay?”
Once again he said nothing and only nodded. I grinned at him before bringing his hand up to my lips to press kiss on his palm. At this, he practically flew out of his seat before he pressed a firm kiss to my head. I tried to look up at him, but he buried his face in my hair and broke down into sobs. The sound brought tears to my own eyes as I rubbed his arm trying to offer him some form of comfort. He pulled back from his embrace and our brown eyes met.
“I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to do it and you were telling me to go cool off and I just wouldn’t. When I saw you on the ground there was so much blood and all I could think about was how you were dead and it was all my fault.” He stopped. Taking in another breath he said, “And the last time we ever talked was a fight.” I squeezed his hand tighter as more tears dripped down his face.
“You could never kill me,” I told him sternly, shaking my head. “You wouldn’t ever go that far.” I looked into his brown eyes, my heart clenching painfully. I could practically feel the pain and regret seeping from him.
Moving forward I pressed my lips to his softly, pulling back quickly. The corners of his lips twitched upwards and he connected our lips again.
“I love you.” He whispered to me. I didn’t respond, but connected our lips once more.

┆ ° ♡ • ➵ ✩ ◛ ° boyfriend spencer !
Tumblr media
oh lord have mercy this man is sooooo ( ∩ˇωˇ∩)♡all my boyfie spencer thoughts in one place.. <3 this man deserves a happy ending and if cm won’t give it to him i certainly will!! click the link 4 a surprise … & also send me ur spencer reid thoughts before i collapse!!
warnings: just swearing/slight suggestive tones (like smooches..) and gender neutral reader i think !!
Tumblr media
spencer, at least— according to derek, is a tough nut to crack. he doesn’t trust easily at all, and the fruits of your labour may not actually show until years down the line. but if there’s one thing about him you could never doubt, is his loyalty to not just you, but his entire team. especially when he tells you, “i’ll do anything you need me to. always.” and the earnest tone he whispers it in, his brown eyes flickering up to meet your [e/c] ones. the soft, glowing warmth of the love of a thousand lifetimes burns bright in his irises and you will find that you simply don’t care how long you have to wait for him to allow you to hold his heart in your hands.
he may not say i love you in the traditional sense; but it is as clear as the turning shades of the leaves in autumn. it’s clear in how he wants to know everything about you: the things you deem mundane and unimportant, the things that make you embarrassed and the things that make you avoid his eyes as you grin childishly. it’s clear in the way he remembers everything, which isn’t all that surprising given:
“did you know i actually have an eidetic memory and an iq of—“
“187. yes i know, spence. what a smart cookie!”
(in response, he flushes always when you coo the words ‘smart cookie’, although in the same breath he will stare at your face and whisper ‘angel’ in your ear like you’ve been sent down from the heavens just for him.)
he treats you like you’re made of delicate rose petals, and a touch that is too forceful will cause you to wither away. his lips graze your cheek gently in a kiss, his fingertips softly pet the top of your head and slowly follow the curve of your cheeks to the slope of your nose. and when you giggle and go “that tickles,” he’ll only grin in response and nestle his nose into the crown of your head and hum knowingly.
although, most infuriatingly, he will not make the first move. now, doesn’t mean he won’t drive you absolutely insane with soft smiles and eyes full of love and want. he puts all of shakespeare’s sonnets to shame, truly. he keeps it up until you break and march over to his apartment with wobbling lips and twinkling irises (and emily’s encouraging “go get ur mans!!!! GET HIM!!!!” text on your phone. her, jj and penelope are the worst enablers ever.) and even then, he stands still (like the whole world has come to a standstill, really) and waits for you to utter the words. he waits, quietly and patiently. his attention is on you.
“it’s okay. you can say it.”
“you’re torturing me here.”
“am i?”
“‘am i?’ i will pretend you never said that, smarty pants. you infuriate me.”
“ooh, big words.”
“hey! i can talk fancy too!”
“mhm, i’m sure you can angel.”
“not fair. i love you, by the way. more like adore you. or any other word you can think of.”
“i can think of a few.”
in the before, he may tease you when you put a hand on his shoulder or trace the outline of his knuckles; but don’t let the teasing trick you. spencer is atrocious. a mess, even— without you. when you get pulled into a case three days before him, he spends the three days with absolutely zero sleep. and when jj and emily (knowingly, grand masterminds!) ask him if he’s doing okay, he just barely grumbles out a: “i can’t sleep without them anymore. feels cold. not right.” jj awe’s at him and clutches her hands close to her chest, whilst emily barks out a laugh and goes “oooh he wants them baaaaad!”
the grumpiest thirty-something year old man you know, by the way. smug as shit, too. lays with you in bed, head on your stomach as you call him pretty.
“but am i the prettiest?”
“oh, absolutely, my love. there is not a man in the land prettier than thou!”
“ … -__- can you ever give me a normal reply.”
“hehe.. absolutely not.”
henry knows all about you. against his will. someone save this boy he knows your birth date and time of birth down to the hour. knows your big three against his will. (despite the fact that spencer says astrology “isn’t scientifically accurate” … my when i’m in a big ass loser contest and my opponent is in-love spencer walter reid….) spencer puts henry to bed and starts rambling:
“the other day, [y/n] and i were in the kitchen and it suddenly hits me how effortlessly beautiful they are, i mean seriously, i feel sick th—“
“uncle spence. please. i want to go to sleep. i’m gonna call mama.”
“not your mom. please.”
(he tells jj and will when they get back from their date. you wake up to 23 text messages from jj saying “marry this nerd please henry can’t do this anymore!!!”)
also may i propose: classical music lover spencer, rock music lover emily, pop music lover jj and [y/n]. spencer absolutely gives you shit for your music taste and jj threatens him by saying she’ll marry you before he does. he goes pale at the thought. goes even paler when jj starts calling you “her darling baby” … your whole relationship is tug of war between jj, emily and spencer. spencer won’t try tug of war with derek like ok whatever you say handsome!!!
also, there have been many times spencer has woken up in the morning and reached his hand out to stroke your cheek and give you a kiss, when halfway he opens one eye and sees either jj or emily sleeping behind you. he’s the third wheel. in his own relationship.
and it’s all great until you give emily or jj too much attention and he starts sulking at home like… bitch you are in your thirties. and then you have to kiss all over his face and jokingly (or not???) call him your ‘pookie’… he sticks his tongue out and goes ‘bleurgh!!!!!” but we all know he loves it. silly scorpio man is fooling no one.
also read: candid photos of him where he always looks good ??? and when you mutter “you make me sick.” he takes it seriously and you spend the next week buying him his favourite donuts and kissing him until his cheeks go pink. most dramatic man ever!!! now does he pretend to be upset so you kiss him all the time… who knows.
he also places his forehead on yours when he gets overwhelmed and can’t calm down. and starts giggling when you go “helllooooooo!!” but in like, the way where your voice hits several octaves. a very, very giggly boy around you. and he also always has cold hands, and goes “oh no sweetie looks like i have to hold your hands!” (emily makes a gagging sound)
but truly, he is the softest man /ever/. when you two lay in bed at night and he leans down to kiss you, he goes so slowly that his eyelashes brush against yours and your chest starts to throb with how fast your heart is beating. he leans forward slowly and the kiss he presses to your lips is so soft that you squeeze your eyes closed because looking at him sends you into cardiac arrest. doesn’t kiss you much in public, but the way he looks at you makes up for it. eyes crinkled in the corner, brown irises reflecting your beauty as if you’ve been blessed by aphrodite herself. his chest lifts and trembles slightly, index finger twitching with the need to hold yours <3 (emily catches him in the act and she grins, then goes ‘booooo’ and cackles how he’s ‘whipped’ — which makes derek’s head snap up.)
also he absolutely calls you bunny and pretty like no one say a word to me… bunny is the cutest term of endearment ever im gonna throw up and throw myself down the damn stairs!!!
&&— marriage is absolutely in the cards for you two. he looks down at you, chin tilted, and he can’t imagine a future where he doesn’t watch you style your hair every morning or watch you grumble over a stain that won’t come out of one of his cardigans. (“spence, baby, you got anymore sweaters that need washed? i’m putting a woollens wash on!” and he blushed a soft fuchsia and has to resist the urge to cradle your face in his palms.)
although he has faced many tragedies and painful memories in his life, you’re his solace. the pain of his father leaving, his mother’s illness, prison, his drug addiction— you provide him with the normalcy and soft, angelic happiness that makes him smile until his cheeks hurt.
spencer (look at the absolute beauty i pulled by being an autistic nerd) walter reid <3

My Grimoire Research Library
this is a list of my major resource I've referenced/am currently referencing in my big grimoire project. For books I'll be linking the Goodreads page, for pdfs, websites and videos i'll link them directly.
There are plenty of generalised practitioner resources that can work for everyone but as I have Irish ancestry and worship Hellenic deities quite a few of my resources are centred around Celtic Ireland, ancient Greece and the Olympic mythos. If you follow other sects of paganism you are more than welcome to reblog with your own list of resources.
Parts of my grimoire discuss topics of new age spiritualism, dangerous conspiracy theories, and bigotry in witchcraft so some resources in this list focus on that.

The light of the sun crept through the small gap in the curtains. You stirred awake to find your girlfriend still sleeping peacefully, an arm wrapped around your waist. Smiling at her, the older brunette looked so cute when she was asleep. It was rare that you woke up before Emily.
Then you recalled last nights events, realising you were both very naked. Smirking to yourself, you had an idea that you've always wanted to try but never got the opportunity to do, because Emily was usually awake before you. Biting your lip at the idea, you carefully removed her arm from around your waist, hoping that she doesn't wake up from the slight movement.
All your girlfriend did was stir slightly in her sleep. You wasted no time in going under the duvet, your face between her thighs, hands gently wrapped around her thighs to keep her in place as you kissed along her thighs lightly, teasing her. You chuckled quietly at the fact she was already wet just from that.
You felt Emily stir again, somewhere between breathes she let out a whimper, as you licked up her slit teasing her, collecting her juices that already started drippling from her pussy.
Your girlfriend let out another whimper, along with a low moan. You removed the duvet slightly from hers and your body just enough to look up with your eyes, Emily's eyes still closed, but one of her hands started gripping the bedsheets.
Flattening your tongue against her clit then alternating between sucking and licking. You devoured her. And that's when Emily let out the loudest moan. Stirring awake even more.
"Fuck!" She moaned, your eyes met her brown eyes when she finally woke up. You felt more wetness come from Emily's pussy on your tongue, gushing into your mouth or onto your chin. Her hand fell into your h/c gripping it, holding you in place as you continued to devour her cunt.
"Oh!" She yelled out, in absolute pleasure, her head falling back into the pillows as she tried to slightly sit up, which failed.
You knew your girlfriend was close, the way her chest rises, heavy breathes. You sucked on her clit a few more times.
"Y/n!" Emily moans.
You continued, as you hear Emily's pretty sounds that she makes. God, she was so hot.
Emily practically yells between moans. As she came in your mouth, you gently licked her clit through her orgasm to make it last a bit longer, cleaning the mess you made up. The moment she pulled your head away and let out a small whimper, she was telling you she's too sensitive. You chuckled, wiping your chin that glistened with Emily's cum, with your arm. As you sat back up, Emily pulled you down, on top of her.
"Morning to you too, angel. That was by far my favourite way to wake up" Emily breathed out, still recovering from the previous orgasm. You smirked at her.
"I'm glad you enjoyed it, I did too" you added. Emily smirks at you then pulls you down for a kiss, tasting herself on your lips and tongue. You moaned into the kiss when she bit your bottom lip slightly. Her tongue against yours.
"I think someone deserves a reward" Emily says as she pulls away, falling into the usual roles of her being the dominant one. She was usually the top but because you're both she liked giving you control sometimes.
"We have plenty of time for that Em, I just wanted to make you feel good. We haven't been called into work. There's a shower and breakfast calling our names. Although I quite like the breakfast I've just had" you smirked.
Emily chuckled "next time I'm waking you up like that. And who says I'll be keeping my hands off you in the shower?" She adds.
"Then by all means, let's go" you added, getting off of your girlfriend and going into the bathroom, Emily shortly following behind. As the shower run and the two of you got into it. Emily's lips were already on your neck.

"Do you ever think Laura Linney reads her playbill bio and cries? Does she dream of the day when she too will hold a Tony Award aloft in triumph, or has she resigned herself to being one of four actresses with the biggest fail rate and will one day hold the record outright? (Given that Estelle Parsons is in her nineties, Dana Ivey is in her eighties, and Jan Maxwell, my beloved, is dead?) Anyway, the point of this isn't to rub salt in the wound. Love you, Laura Linney."

"It's too mean to title this poll Biggest Tony Winner vs. Biggest Tony Loser but it's pretty damn accurate, and given the overwhelming whiteness of award shows overall, it's damn satisfying that the Black woman is the one with a record-breaking Tonys on her shelf and the white blonde woman is not (no matter how talented she is). Audra McDonald, my beloved, you're going to sweep this entire tournament."
