relistening to the archives and NOTHING is ever going to get the same, quiet "...oh." from me like when Elias started talking about Melanie's dad.

It was far from the worst thing in the series, absolutely. But the fact that they got that quiet understanding across, not just to Melanie, but to the listener? Phenomenal writing. I will never be the same again.

#I have sooooo many thoughts on it too #bc Elias couldn't take anything from Melanie #and he fully admitted that #her dad is already gone #and she doesn't really care about anyone or anything all that much #but underneath all that rage and hatred and mildly-consuming bloodlust she still hurts #and theres that moment #entirely audible #that you can hear her realize she can still hurt #and Elias can still hurt her #on a more personal note Taken Ill was one of the more memorable episodes for me personally bc it had a rly deep sense of loss #and hearing it called back to at the time just gave that extra little “oh.” moment #nothing had to be explained #not really #and that is horrible and magical and incredibly personal #chattering #tma spoilers

Watched Rear Window last week. Went a little overboard on what was supposed to be a simple expression/design study.

Maybe one of the most bone-chilling scenes in film.

i only cried once today after being yelled at/scolded for two hours straight!!!!! i would like my hug and pat on the head for being so good now please!!!!!!!

unfortunately, college has been kicking my ass lately, and will continue to do so until i finish my master's thesis. the good news is that this will continue for only about a month before i have more time to work on the project! the bad news is that i have only about a month to finish the entire paper. :' )
