I've wanted to do this blog for a long time, I really didn't know what year to put Mesa Flats in (At the moment I don't know what year I'll put Bitville, Garden Heights and Arbor Falls in xD, If you have any ideas for these three neighborhoods, please tell me haha)! Well, 2007 wasn't a very pretty year for pop culture, especially because of the breakdown of our princess of pop, but it was also a pretty great year: Shrek 3 comes out, Selena Gomez in her Alex Russo era, Taylor Swift in her debut era, Paramore appears, Avril Lavigne releases "The Best Damn Thing", Rihanna releases her smash hit "Umbrella" and above all the first season of the iconic series from the late 2000s "Skins" is released (I RECOMMEND YOU GUYS TO WATCH IT!!, if you already saw it, you have to see it again), and above all... this makeover is the most complicated one I've done in this whole series haha, but above all thanks to @simstralia for 2KL8 and Safiya Nygaard for her 2007 outfits video.

What The Crown cast look like in real life

The countdown to the fourth series of Netflix's The Crown is on. While the likes of Olivia Colman and Josh O'Connor are returning as Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles, the new series (which begins around 1977) also sees the introduction of Margaret Thatcher and Princess Diana. We already know who's taking on the roles (oh hey Gillian Anderson and Emma Corrin), and we've also had our first glimpse at them in action. But what do The Crown cast look like next to their characters on the show?

Despite nailing the third series, Olivia Colman recently opened up to The Mirror about how she worried people wouldn't like her version of the Queen.

"It’s much harder to play ­people that everyone has a vision of, a picture of, and has ideas about,” she said. “I’ve never joined a show that’s already been up and running and successful, but I was such an enormous fan that I didn’t really think about it.”

She continued that she was even more anxious that the actual Queen wouldn't like her portrayal, adding, "There is much more pressure when you’re playing someone who is still living, and you have this fear that they’re watching it and won’t like it.”

Speaking of the role, Gillian said, "I am so excited to be joining the cast and crew of The Crown and to have the opportunity to portray such a complicated and controversial woman."

When Tobias landed the role for series 3, he said, "I'm thrilled to be joining the new cast of The Crown and to be working with Olivia Colman again. I look forward to becoming her 'liege man of life and limb."

Speaking of Prince Phillip's personality, Tobias told Vulture interview, "There’s a heat to him. There’s a pent-up energy. A suppression. An alpha maleness that has had to be diverted in different directions."

Speaking at the Cheltenham Literature festival in 2019, Helena revealed she sought Princess Margaret's blessing before taking on the role in The Crown.

"She [Princess Margaret] said, apparently, she was glad it was me. My main thing when you play someone who is real, you kind of want their blessing because you have a responsibility.

"So I asked her: ‘Are you OK with me playing you?’ and she said: ‘You’re better than the other actress’ … that they were thinking of. They will not admit who it was. It was me and somebody else."

Helena recently revealed a crucial scene from the Netflix original was her idea. She explained how her Princess Margaret character sympathised with Princess Diana, explaining, "She saw Diana being picked up by the press as she was, and she was taken as a fashion template."

"Seasons 3 and 4 will follow some of the most turbulent events in the Prince of Wales's life and our national story and I'm excited to be bringing to life the man in the midst of it all," Josh O'Connor said about the role.

The actor also told Vulture that Season 4 is "very much the Diana and Charles years, and particularly focusing on what happened there and the ramifications of that going forward."

“Beyond excited and honoured to be joining The Crown for its fourth season," Emma said in a statement released by Netflix. "I have been glued to the show since the first episode and to think I’m now joining this incredibly talented acting family is just surreal."

Emma continued, "Princess Diana was an icon, and her effect on the world remains profound and inspiring. To be given the chance to explore her through Peter Morgan’s writing is the most exceptional opportunity, and I will strive to do her justice!”

Speaking of how she adapted for the role, Erin told Town and Country the hardest thing about playing Anne was the voice. “For me, ultimately, it was about the voice because it is so different from mine.

"I had to make sure that was on point. So I walked around speaking as her, trying not to look too crazy. And honestly, the more I did it, naturally it became a subconscious thing.”

“What I love about her is that she is so brutally honest with her feelings,” she told Harper’s Bazaar, saying she would be terrified if Anne didn’t like her portrayal.

“But I genuinely like to think that we’ve done her justice. I feel like a lot of people, like me, will learn so much about her, and fall in love with her as much as I have. I think she’s this incredibly strong, powerful, determined woman, and I really do believe that people are going to be like, ‘Oh, my God, I never knew this about her.’”

Reprising the role of Camilla Parker-Bowles is Emerald Fennell, who briefly appeared in the last instalment. The 33-year-old actress said in a statement about joining the show: "I'm absolutely over-the-moon and completely terrified to be joining so many hugely talented people on The Crown."

She continued, "I absolutely love Camilla, and am very grateful that my teenage years have well prepared me for playing a chain-smoking serial snogger with a pudding bowl haircut."

Speaking about embodying The Queen Mother in the show, Marion explained to Meaww, "The Queen Mother was certainly multi-faceted. She’d had some tragedies in life with the death of brothers during the First World War and of course the relatively early death of her husband. She’d married her husband without any idea that she would one day become Queen, but she certainly stepped up to the plate and got on with a job that she probably never wanted."

The actress continued, "Most challenging for me was finding her physically. I have to say that I was enormously helped by the brilliant costume and make-up teams. The Queen Mother was somewhat better endowed than myself and so a glorious bra was made for me, which I understand is stuffed with lentils and birdseed! Once that’s on, I feel I’ve got her shape. I only need to avoid standing too near a bird table. I’ve also got a great wig and first-rate make up artist."

Listen Bea and Allie are the greatest prison love story and love story of all time on television and I will fight anyone who ever dares to say otherwise. It has everything - unconditional love, tragedy (a bit too much but that’s just television), acceptance, hope, seeing the other the way no one else ever has, willingness to sacrifice, trust and patience...I think Tumblr has been sleeping on this amazing pair.

6. Is 9 a funny ship or a serious ship?

A very serious ship! I will always be angry at fucking Jason RoTTENBERG for what he did to Linctavia, fuck that prick.

7. Out of all the ships listed, which ship has the most chemistry?

BEA AND ALLIE I MEAN LOOK AT THEM JESUS.

Hmmm well I did read a bit of Linstead fanfiction back in the day but I can’t say I watched their scenes or episodes twice. I enjoyed the dynamic on screen a lot though.

Canonically? I would say 3 - Lucas and Peyton from One Tree Hill. They’ve been on and off, though.

11. How many times, if ever, has 6 broken up?

Hmm they didn’t actually break up willingly, let’s just say interdimensional travel and a weird creepy barn and some amnesia split them up (Haven fans know haha)

12. If the world was suddenly thrust into a zombie apocalypse, which ship would make it out alive, 2 or 8?

Both, actually! 2 are a pair of cops and 8 - well, Stiles and Lydia have huge brains and wits, they could outsmart any dumbass zombies.

13. Did 7 ever have to hide their relationship for any reason?

I can’t remember exactly but I think Logan and Veronica did hide it at some point because Logan was her best friend’s ex and she died and V. felt guilty about moving on with him, of all people.

14. Is 4 still together?

They were never canon but they are together in my heart and away from that shitty ass showrunner Carter Trollington so that’s all that matters. Where’s my Faking It fandom at? Guys, I am still salty, for the record.

15. Is 10 canon?

They were for a while but one character got written off so no.

16. If all 10 ships were put into a couple’s Hunger Games, which couple would win?

I can’t decide. But I’d bet on Bea/Allie cuz they have prison training or Jay/Hailey, along with Emily/JJ cuz both pairs are cops.

17. Has anybody ever tried to sabotage 5’s ship?

YES THE FUCKING WRITERS who were cowards and didn’t want to make Emily Prentiss a lesbian even if the actress would have been fine with it. They just sabotaged the best chemistry they had.

A/N: Oh my god I finally wrote something. It’s not angst like I hoped I would write, but, hey, i got it done! And whoa it takes forever to format on here. Sigh. Let me know what you think!

Word Count: 3,450 (nice, right?)

“I’ll see you later! Good luck!” You ushered your friend out the door, making sure to lock it before you made your way to your room. You quickly changed into sweats, shoving your hair into a ponytail before plopping onto your bed. You had just finished helping your friend Kara plan out and create a homecoming proposal for her girlfriend Erin. It was a cute idea, to say the least. Simple, consisting of flowers, chocolates, and a cute poster board with a pun, but it was adorable. It was about 11 p.m. on a saturday night, and you were excited to see how it would play out on Monday, but you were exhausted.

You couldn’t wait to finally get back to your book, ready to finish the next part of the novel. You reached down below your bed, feeling around on the floor as your eyes gazed through your instagram feed. So many damn homecoming proposals already, and the dance had only been announced a week ago. You rolled your eyes, only realizing you had yet to grab your book when your phone buzzed with a new notification.

M.J.: I’m coming over.

You sighed, giving up on grabbing your book. You quirked a brow as you read the message over and over, trying to find context between the lines. You quickly tapped over the keyboard before pressing send.

You: uh why??

You reached over to close your window curtains, your body threatening to fall off the bed. You caught yourself with your hand, using your other one to grab the curtain and tug. Shit, it’s stuck. Groaning, you pulled yourself off the bed, army crawling over to the curtain and violently pulling it across the window. It still wouldn’t budge, so you stood up, setting your phone on your nightstand and standing on your tiptoes to manually fix the curtain.

Your fingers grazed the hook briefly before you had to stop and take a breath. Why was that thing so damn tall? You reached one more time. Close, closer, almost got it…

Something tapped your window.

“Jesus--” You yelled, stumbling backwards, the curtain coming with you. Well, shit. Now you had to reach to put the hooks on the rack. Perfect. You put a hand over your heart, taking deep, slow breaths. You cautiously looked to the window where your best friend sat, face worried and hair uncontrollably wild. “Michelle?”

“Yeah, it’s me. Open the window.”

“Why are you--”

“Hurry, y/n,” she pressed, looking to her side, muttering words to whatever was there, then looking back to you. You dropped the curtain, stepping over it to unlock the window.

“What are you doing--” You stopped yourself, looking down to a fallen figure at her side through your now open window. You instantly recognised the red and blue suit, the mask, and the iconic spider emblem of Queens’ very own superhero. Spider-man. Spider-man was on your fire escape. “Holy shit.”

“Help me get him in,” Michelle urged, going to the other side of him to grab his legs. You grabbed his arms, struggling to pull him into your room. You weren’t the weakest person in the world, but damn this guy was heavy. You and Michelle laid him on your floor when blood started to pool onto the floor.

“Shit, shit, shit,” You muttered, grabbing your fallen curtain and setting it under Spider-man’s body. “Where is he even bleeding from?” You asked, lifting his arms and legs to inspect the injuries you assumed were there. He had a big gash on his side, carving through his abdomen and into his stomach. It wasn’t deep, but it was large. What was he fighting? He had bruises on the exposed skin you could see, and there were several scratches and cuts on his arms and legs. There was blood everywhere, and you were sure you would have to buy a new curtain. “Why did you bring him here? Where did you find him?”

Michelle sat on the other side of him, tucking her knees under herself as she thought over her answer. “He came to my place.”

“He what?”

“He.. I.. Well, I know who he is.”

“You what?”

“Damn, let me finish, will you?” Michelle huffed before fully sitting down, crossing her legs in front of her. “I’ve known who he is for a while now. He comes over to my place sometimes when he has injuries he cant take home and I help patch him up, but… This one I can’t fix.”

“And you think I can?” You asked, pushing yourself up off of the floor. You walked to the door, opening it a bit to stick your head through, making sure no one was awake in your house. Your little brother and your parents were home and hopefully asleep, so you had to make sure you didn't give them reason to look into your room. After making sure the coast was clear, you opened the door wide and tiptoed across the hallway, opening the small linen closet beside your bathroom.

“Well, shit, Y/N, are you an EMT or not?” Michelle whispered.

“Not. I’m still taking classes, M.J. I practice on minor injuries and cuts. Not superheroes.” You grabbed a white towel and held another one, debating whether or not you’d need a second one. You decided you might, so you grabbed it and closed the closet door as carefully as you could. You tiptoed back to your room and quietly closed the door, hurrying to kneel by the man’s (boy’s?) side.

“At least patch him up? He heals quickly.”

“I.. fine. Fine,” You held your hands up in surrender. You scrambled to look for your medical supplies in your room, digging around your desk and in your closet. You produced alcohol pads and rubbing alcohol, grabbing tissues from your desk and setting them beside the hero. M.J. dug into her black backpack (that you just noticed she had) and produced a hefty first aid kit. “Whoa, you came prepared.”

“I figured you wouldn’t have some of the things you’d need. And I’ve been doing this for a while, so I’ve been stocking up.” You nodded along, grabbing the kit from beside her and opening it, finding some stitching supplies (which you needed) and various patching utensils, including gauze and neosporin and the like. You looked to the patient in front of you, examining the open wounds you could see.

“This is gonna be difficult.”

“What makes you say that?”

“I have to get his suit off to properly disinfect his wounds.”

Michelle made an ‘oh, right’ before pressing on the spider emblem on his suit, the fabric expanding with a mechanical ‘shick.’ She grabbed the material and shoved it down his torso, resting at his hips, making sure not to touch the mask on his face.

“Perfect,” you said, and then you got to work. You set to the big cut on his abdomen first, laying a towel on the ground in front of you and pressing it under his side, laying it out to catch any blood that dared to avoid the curtain. “You can start cleaning the cuts and shit on the other side while I work on this one. It might not be all that deep, but It’s deep enough to need a few stitches.” Michelle nodded before grabbing a few alcohol pads and setting to work on her side. You grabbed a few tissues and doused them in rubbing alcohol, patting the wound with little force.

“Ow,” Spider-Man said, raising his head a bit. You jumped back, watching him struggle to sit up. “What’s happening? M.J?”

“Holy shit,” you whispered.

Michelle jumped to action, pressing down on his shoulders to lay him back down. “No, no, don’t get up. We’re patching you up.”

His visors widened and focused on her, before lulling his head around the room. “We?” He asked, before setting his eyes on you. “Y/N? What?” His voice rose, striking a chord with you. You squinted your eyes, thinking you had recognised that voice.

“Peter?” you responded, leaning forward slightly.

“Yeah? What?” He responded. You gasped. Michelle cursed, slamming her forehead.

“Look, what you just fucking did, Spider-Man.”

“Oh, shit, did I just--” Peter started.

“Yes, you did.” Michelle groaned, throwing her hands up. “Take off your mask, you idiot. There’s no point in hiding it anymore.” You started with wide eyes as Spider-Man slowly reached up and pulled off his mask, revealing that one dork you had in your geometry class, Peter Parker.

“Oh my God,” You whispered, setting the bottle and pad down, standing up. Peter waved pathetically.

“Hi? Sorry you had to find out like this.”

“She shouldn’t have found out at all, Peter. I was busy being careful this entire time and you ruin it in 30 seconds.” Michelle crossed her arms, glaring daggers at the boy beside her. You moved over to your still open window, climbing out onto your fire escape, wiping your bloody hands onto your sweatpants. It’ll wash out. Maybe.

You took several breaths, trying to steady yourself by holding onto the railing. You sat by this idiot every weekday at lunch and you never even had the thought that he could be stopping cars with his bare hands and swinging around Queens after dark. You were just patching up your love interest.

Now let’s clear this up. You never liked the word ‘crush.’ It was too immature and reminded you too much of middle school, which wasn’t a good time for anyone involved. That being said, you didn’t like any other words to describe what you felt, so you decided upon ‘love interest.’ It made you feel as if you were a part of a story and it added just a touch of irony that made Michelle approve when you suggested it, so that’s what you’re going with. There was distant arguing inside as you calmed down, wincing when Peter’s voice rose an octave.

You turned around and climbed onto the windowsill, leaning into your room. “Could you guys argue with less gusto? My family’s sleeping.”

“Gusto, she says,” Michelle, mocked, falling silent when there’s a knock on your door. Everyone froze, faces going slack as the door opened to reveal your 5 year old brother, Michael.

“Y/N?” He asked, small, chubby hands on the doorknob. Peter scrambled to put on his suit and mask, hitting the spider, sitting up (with several ‘ow’s) and turning to face Michael. He noticed Spider-Man, his eyes going wide as saucers. Thank god Peter got the mask on in time. “Spider-Man?”

“Hi, Michael,” Spider-man lowered his voice, trying to sound older and more authoritative.

“You know my name?” Michael responded. Spider-man smiled. At least, you think he did.

“Of course I do! Your sister’s told me a lot about you.” Michael looked to you with disbelief, jaw hanging open like he just met Santa Claus. You put on a smile, shrugging.

“Uh, Spider-Man and I are good friends,” you said, climbing into your room. You got down to your knees as you approached Michael, shutting the door behind him and setting him on your lap. “We like to talk about how good you’ve been this year and that Santa would be happy to hear that.” Your baby brother looked to you, then looked back to Spider-man.

“You know Santa?”

“Of course I do!” Spider-man replied, confusion lacing his voice. He was improvising and he clearly wasn’t used to it. I mean, super heroes knowing Santa Claus? You were sure you broke at least six rules on what you can and cannot lie about to children. “You’ve done a lot of good things this year, Michael.”

“Really? He thinks that? Even when I pulled on Sally’s hair and called her a toad?”

“You what?” You looked from Spider-man to Michael, who’s eyes gazed at his favorite superhero with adoration. “Michael!”

“Er,” Spider-Man started. Michelle covered her mouth with her hand to stop herself from laughing. You ignored her. “You shouldn’t have done that, kiddo.”

“No, you shouldn’t have,” you agreed. Standing him up. “Listen, Spidey and I have some very important Christmas things to discuss, so why don’t you head onto bed, okay? And don’t tell mommy and daddy. This will be our little secret, okay? Can you promise that?” You held up your pinky. Michael nodded vigorously and wrapped his little finger around yours. He leaned in close, heavy breaths and all.

“Can you tell Santa that I want a big red firetruck for christmas?” You looked to your friends in exasperation, then back to Michael.

You nodded. “Yeah, I’ll tell him that.” Michael hugged you, then turned to Spider-Man.

“Bye, Mr. Spider-Man!” He said. “I wanna be a hero just like you when I grow up!”

“And you will be,” he responded. “Goodnight!”

“Night!” You kissed Michael on the forehead and ushered him into the hallway. You watched him walk into his room with baited breath until he closed the door. You sighed.

“Holy shit that was close.”

“Spider-man pyjamas, huh?” Michelle asked. You shrugged.

“His favorite superhero,” you explained. Peter took his mask off.

“I talk to Santa now?” He quirked a brow.

“Like you had any better ideas. I’m just glad he didn’t notice the blood. Now lay back down so I can finish patching you up.”

Patching Peter up took another hour. He had gotten into a pretty bad fight with The Rhino, apparently, and the big gash on his side was a spike on the villain’s suit. Brutal. You asked him various questions every now and then, asking how he started, (‘field trip gone bad,’ he had said.) how long he’s been doing it, and who else besides M.J. knows about his abilities.

“May and Ned,” he responded. “Oh, and Tony Stark.”

“May must’ve been pretty pissed-- wait, Tony Stark? Is that what you do on your internship?”

“How’d you guess?” He quipped, voice flatlining.

“Well, this is fun,” Michelle interrupted. “But I gotta get home. I would stay the night but, frankly, I don’t want to wake up to more Michael and even more Spider-Man questions.”

“Fair enough,” you responded.

“I gotta go, too,” Peter sat up, grabbing his mask. “I’ll, uh, replace those curtains.”

“Uh, no you don’t,” you took Peter’s mask from his hands, instead shoving pain relievers to replace them. “You have to rest. I may have stitched up those wounds but it’s not a good job. I ran out of thread, which means if they break, that’s it. Michelle says you heal fast so I expect it to be all healed in the morning or at least good enough for you to do whatever else you do on the weekends. Until then, you stay here. Doctor’s orders.”

“Ouch,” M.J. says. “Bed rest.” She shouldered her backpack, propping one leg on the windowsill.

“Not bed rest,” you corrected. “Just.. room rest?”

Peter scoffed. “You can’t be serious.”

“I can, and I am.”

“Well this’ll turn out great,” M.J. glanced at you. You glared back. She shrugged. “Whatever. I’m out. See you, Spider-Dude. Y/N.” she gave a two finger salute, and then she was gone. Peter grunted and leaned back against your bed, his arms crossed like a child-- like Michael. You shook your head, gathering the various medical supplies Michelle left behind (‘you’ll need it more than me,’ she said). You shoved them into an empty shoebox in your closet, shoving the door closed with your foot.

“This damn curtain,” you lifted it off the floor (the stainless floor, thanks to your curtain). “I guess this is goin’ in the garbage.” You unhooked the matching curtain from your window and bundled them together.

“Sorry about that,” Peter chuckled, running his hand through his hair. You forced yourself not to watch, choosing to shrug instead.

“It’s whatever. I’ve been wanting to redecorate my room anyway.” Shoving them under your bed, you sat beside Peter, shoulder to shoulder. You nudged his arm with your elbow. “So, Spider-Man, huh?” He looked to the ceiling. Your eyes lingered on his jawline (and his busted lip). He didn’t notice, thank god.

“Yeah. Listen, I’m sorry about tonight. This wasn’t supposed to happen and you weren’t supposed to find out--”

“I figured, what, with M.J. and Ned knowing and not me, and the fact that you said ‘oh, shit’ after you revealed it.”

“Yeah, well, we aren’t exactly close, so…” He stopped himself. “I’m sorry. That was kind of rude.”

You laughed. “That’s pretty obvious. Listen, I get it. You don’t think we’re as close as you are to M.J. or Ned. No problem. I don’t expect you to be my best friend because I know your secret identity, Pete. You can go on doing you and I’ll do me. I won’t tell anyone.”

“No, that’s…” He shoved his palms into his eyes, rubbing furiously. He mumbled to himself under his breath for a second, but you didn’t care enough to hear; you just got acquaintance-zoned. You grabbed your phone from your nightstand and unlocked your phone, viewing your texts. A new one recently popped up from Michelle.

M.J.: how’s Spider boy

You spared a glance to the boy beside you, who was busy trying to figure out what to say. Your eyelids drooped impassively, looking back to your phone, typing out a quick reply.

You: Pretty sure I just got acquaintance zoned. Stay tuned.

M.J.: Acquaintance zoned.

You: yup. More to come once he figures out wtf to say.

M.J.: Dare I say, mood.

“Look, I--” Peter stopped himself again once he saw the look on your face. Neutral, yet impassive. Are those the same thing? It didn’t matter. He drew a long breath, turning his body to sit facing you, wincing a few times as he did so. “I’m sorry. I don’t know how to talk, apparently.”

“Noted. Anything else?”

“Damn, you’re cold.” You gave him a cold stare. “I mean-- shit, okay. I wouldn’t mind if we, uh, tried to get closer or anything, you know? Like, you already know I’m Spider-Man, why not stick together?”

“Basically, you don’t want me snitching, so you’re gonna keep a close eye on me.”

“Jesus, no. I--” He covered his face with his palms. “Fuck it-- I like you.”

You stopped breathing. “I’m sorry, what?” You put your phone in your pocket, turning to face Peter. Was this really happening?

“I like you. Like, a lot. More than I should, probably, and I just want you to know that I don’t regret revealing myself to you. Yeah, it was an accident, but I really don’t want us to go back to how we were after this.” He took deep breaths. “I think, since you know now, we could use you on the team. Maybe as our medic! You know what you’re doing, and you’ve already helped me and stuff, and you sit at our table anyway, so I don’t think this would be much different. Just a little bit better, and--”

“Peter,” you interrupted. “You’re rambling.”

He shut his mouth, face going red. “Oh. Sorry, I do that a lot.”

“Yeah, I know, you dork,” You smiled. You climbed over to him, gently grabbing his shoulders and pressing your lips to his cheek. He stared in awe, absolutely speechless for the first time in his life. You didn’t give him a chance to say anything, pressing your lips to his own for something a little more expected. “Luckily, I know how to shut you up. And I think it’s working.”

He remained quiet, staring at you like you were an angel made just for him. Like you were Tony fucking Stark.

“Come on,” you said, lifting him to his feet. “Maybe, if I’m lucky, I can steal some of my older brother’s pyjamas. He’s away at college, so I don’t think he’d care. I’m pretty sure you’re gonna stay the night tonight, anyway, if your wounds haven’t made any progress healing.” You sit him on your bed to wait there as you grabbed the door handle.

“Wait,” he said. You looked back. His face was still red. “So… You’ll be our medic?”

You smiled, hand turning the knob, the other gripping your phone. “Yeah, I think I can make this a full time gig.” You winked, heading down the hallway to your brother’s vacant room. You turned on your phone, going to text M.J.

M.J.: well???

You: Looks like team Spidey has a new medic.

You shoved your phone back into your pocket, smiling like a maniac as you grabbed your definite love interest’s borrowed pyjamas.

The Crown season 4: When’s it released on Netflix? What’s going to happen?

Olivia Colman will return as Queen Elizabeth II as we head into the Margaret Thatcher years for the fourth instalment of Peter Morgan's royal epic

With filming on season four of The Crown having wrapped juuuust in time before the coronavirus shut down the entire country, Netflix’s flagship royal drama is hopefully still on track to hit our screens ASAP.

Although the main characters were all replaced in a major reset at the beginning of season three, we know that Oscar-winner Olivia Colman (Queen Elizabeth II) and Tobias Menzies (The Duke of Edinburgh) will both be reprising their roles for the fourth season of the show, along with the likes of Helena Bonham Carter (Princess Margaret).

For season four of the show we expect much of the story to centre on the late 1970s and the 1980s, with will mean the introduction of important new characters including Margaret Thatcher and Princess Diana. We’ll then get a total cast switch-over ahead of the fifth and final season.

Here’s everything we know so far about season four of The Crown…

When is The Crown season 4 released on Netflix? Netflix has yet to confirm an exact air date for the fourth season – and although there was a two-year gap between seasons two and three, we’re unlikely to have to wait quite so long for season four.

RadioTimes.com currently predicts that The Crown season four will be released in November or December 2020, approximately one year after the most recent outing of the show.

Filming for seasons three and four was scheduled to take place back-to-back, before another total cast changeover as Olivia Colman and Tobias Menzies step aside in favour of older actors.

Shooting on the fourth season finished in mid-March 2020, with the final days of filming brought forward owing to the coronavirus pandemic.

With the shots in the can, it gives Netflix the flexibility to move one of their biggest and most popular shows around the year should they so choose – but still it’s likely to come at the end of 2020.

Who will be in the cast for The Crown season 4? All the main cast from season three will be back for season four – including Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II, Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip, Josh O’Connor as Prince Charles, Erin Doherty as Princess Anne, and Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret.

However, they will be joined by a number of new cast members playing some very famous characters from history…

Is Margaret Thatcher in season 4?

Gillian Anderson is set to star as Conservative Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in The Crown, and it’s likely that her leadership and her relationship with the Queen will be central to season four.

Season three finishes in 1977, so we’ve almost hit the year Thatcher was elected: 1979. She then remained in office until 1990, so we should expect to see a lot of Gillian Anderson’s Thatcher throughout the new season of the show as it has always focussed heavily on the relationship between the monarch and her Prime Ministers.

Is Princess Diana in season 4?

Emma Corrin has been cast to play Lady Diana Spencer (the future Princess of Wales) in The Crown.“I have been glued to the show and to think I’m now joining this incredibly talented acting family is surreal,” Corrin said when the casting was announced. “Princess Diana was an icon and her effect on the world remains profound and inspiring. To explore her through Peter Morgan’s writing is the most exceptional opportunity and I will strive to do her justice!”Prince Charles (Josh O’Connor) married Diana in 1981 after a brief courtship. Their eldest son Prince William came along in 1982, with Prince Harry arriving in 1984 – events which will all fall within the time period covered by season four.Peter Morgan is also likely to cover the difficulties within the royal marriage which led to their 1992 separation and subsequent divorce.As Princess Diana became such an international icon during her time in the royal family, we’d predict that her character will be a very substantial part of the new season as one of the most famous marriages in the world plays out on screen.

What will happen in season 4 of The Crown?

The fourth season should take us from 1977 up to about 1990, though the exact timespan is yest to be confirmed by the creator of the show, Peter Morgan, or Netflix, who make the show.

The Times reports that episodes will feature the Queen and Margaret Thatcher’s disagreements over Apartheid in South Africa, the 1984-5 miners’ strike and the 1982 Falklands War. All major incidents during the period, so it’s likely at least some of these events will feature in the ten episodes.

This is just speculation, but The Crown season four could also cover the 1981 incident where six shots were fired at the Queen during the Trooping of the Colour. It could also include the Buckingham House intruder, Michael Fagan, who made it into the Queen’s bedroom after a serious lapse in security.

It’s likely we’ll meet US President Ronald Reagan in season four, and explore his relationship with the Queen, as we have seen most of the US Presidents at some point during the first three seasons of The Crown.

If you enjoyed the 1969 Royal Family documentary episode in season three, cross your fingers that It’s a Royal Knockout will get its own episode as we cringe our way through the much-ridiculed 1987 charity game show.

Meanwhile Josh O’Connor, who plays Prince Charles on the show, has said that his character will be portrayed in a harsher light in season four, with one episode set to focus on the beginnings of the love triangle between Charles, his future wife Camilla Shand and her boyfriend Andrew Parker-Bowles.

He told the PA news agency, “Well, it’s the Diana years so we know that period so well. And in terms of Charles himself, if series three was to make people feel empathy and sorry for him, I guess we’re going to pull the rug from under him in the next series.”

And we’ll be waiting to find out who plays an adult Prince Andrew as he goes off to the Falklands War… perhaps not an enviable role to play on-screen right now.

Who will star in The Crown season 5?

We’ll get one last re-casting ahead of season five, which is now confirmed as the final season on Netflix.

And while we’re still waiting for news about most of the cast, we have had confirmation for one key character: Imelda Staunton will play Queen Elizabeth II herself.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to confirm Imelda Staunton as Her Majesty The Queen for the fifth and final season, taking The Crown into the 21st century,” The Crown’s creator Peter Morgan told Deadline. “Imelda is an astonishing talent and will be a fantastic successor to Claire Foy and Olivia Colman.”

He added: “At the outset I had imagined The Crown running for six seasons but now that we have begun work on the stories for season five it has become clear to me that this is the perfect time and place to stop. I’m grateful to Netflix and Sony for supporting me in this decision.”

When will season 5 begin filming?

Imelda Staunton told Entertainment Weekly that her research for the role is “ongoing” – but she anticipates filming on season five being delayed by the coronavirus pandemic and the fact that so many TV productions have been on pause.

“I think everything in the world is going to get pushed on, isn’t it?” she said. “So who knows? I’ve been chipping away at it quietly.”

Will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle be featured on The Crown?

The royal couple made major headlines in January 2020 when they announced they would be stepping down as senior royals to become financially independent.

However, these events won’t be covered in the fourth season of The Crown, as it will be set decades earlier.

In addition, it currently seems unlikely that the series will ever make it to present day royal life, as creator Peter Morgan told Entertainment Weekly he prefers to keep the focus on historical topics.

“I feel uncomfortable writing about events within a certain time period. I think there’s a certain amount of time within which, if you write about it, what you do instantly becomes journalistic. Because it’s too close to the moment.

“If you wait a certain amount of time, if you allow fifteen or twenty years, basically a generation, between you and [the events] then you can write about it somewhat freely as drama,” he said.

Beanie Feldstein Is Authentically Herself, and That's Why We Love Her Style

Beanie Feldstein has always stayed true to herself, both on the red carpet and in the roles she's chosen to play in movies - it's one of the main reasons the world, myself included, has been drawn to her. The Lady Bird and Booksmart actress has been working with celebrity stylist Erin Walsh on her red carpet looks for a while now, and while they are always stylish, they are also extremely wearable. (My favorite look has to be the regal Oscar de la Renta gown and matching headband that she wore to the 2020 Golden Globes.) With how real she keeps it on and off the screen, it's no surprise that she has been tapped for the latest #AerieREAL Role Model campaign.

When I walked into the room to interview the actress about her partnership with Aerie, the first thing she did was compliment me on my sparkly Tanya Taylor dress. I explained to her that I was *extra* sparkly because I was heading to my company holiday party right after, and yes, I know, it's January. Right off the bat she quipped back with, "Are they at least giving you booze?" And just like that, I was thrilled to learn that my hopes of her keeping it real 24/7 was, in fact, true.

The 26-year-old, who's recently been chosen to play Monica Lewinsky in American Crime Story, starred alongside Lana Condor, Hari Nef, Iskra Lawrence, and Aly Raisman in Aerie's latest campaign. "I feel very inspired by all of them and what they're doing. We're all so different and yet have the same kind of authenticity. We want to show real women doing what they do best and it's very meaningful to me."

For moments when she is feeling down on herself - because everyone has those - Beanie has a special saying: "'They either want the Bean or they don't want the Bean.'"

In a world where Facetuning your Instagram feed is as common as owning an iPhone, Beanie has teamed up with the brand because they've been against retouching photos for a long time now. "I think that's really inspirational. They're setting the bar high. It was really meaningful to see stretch marks, cellulite, and scarring and be like, 'This is humanity. This is what human bodies look like,'" the actress said. It's one of the main reasons she also tries to stay authentic on her social media platforms as well. "It would feel very icky to me to be false in any way. So, I always try to be myself."

For moments when she is feeling down on herself - because everyone has those - Beanie has a special saying she came up with when she was a teenager. "'They either want the Bean or they don't want the Bean.' The Bean can be anyone. It can be if you're not getting the right grade in a class, not getting someone that you have a crush on, or you're struggling at work. You have to own who you are because you are the only person on this earth that can give what you can give. I think that's really beautiful and it always kind of pulls you back into yourself and what you have," Beanie said. "I made it up when I was like 16 or 17, and looking back I'm like, 'Honestly, great job, girl.' Proud of my younger self," she says while laughing.

Beanie may be just getting started when it comes to fashion, but she's already found her groove. She's worn major brands like Oscar de la Renta, Tory Burch, and Lela Rose on the red carpet. "I've always grown up just in love with how feminine Prada and Miu Miu are. I just like the colors and the bows. It's so me. I live for it. I got to go to [Prada's] Paris Fashion Week show, and I was in literal heaven. I wore a headband with a bow on top of it, and I was like, 'This [is] peak Prada.'" She also revealed that Booksmart co-star Kaitlyn Dever is not only her friend but one of her style icons. "Honestly, Kaitlin has such cool style. She is a mix of feminine and tomboy in a way that I love. Obviously, Sarah Jessica Parker has always been my girl in Sex in the City. I just dream of that closet and like putting clothes in the oven."

While SJP had a way of making some of the wildest trends seem so casual to wear on a daily basis, Beanie's approach to trying on an intimidating trend is much more relatable. "I literally have never worn a bike short once in my life and I was like, "I don't know about the bike short," referencing the printed style she wore during the Aerie shoot. "[Aerie's team] just said, 'Just try everything on and you can wear whatever you want and what makes you feel comfortable.' First of all, it's such a beautiful thing to empower the person who's wearing it and for them to say whatever you want goes. I put them on, and I thought, "This is the new me." I love them so much. I wear them every week."

Incidentally, it reminded me about the first time I tried out biker shorts too. (I even wrote a story about the whole experience and how I struggled to find a way to make the tricky trend feel more like me.) Like Beanie, I ended up loving the shorts when I wore them with pieces from my everyday wardrobe like sneakers and a long-sleeved tee. I left the interview thinking that maybe that's the magic of Beanie. It's her uncanny ability to bring her authentic self to every experience - be it a character, the red carpet, or a major fashion campaign - and inspire those around her to do the same.
