SENATION LORE PART 3: BATTLE OF LEGENDS.
📍 set in heian period ( year 794 to 1185 )
LONG LONG TIME AGO... born a baby who from birth, already seemed to be a blessing to his family and to the world. this baby... his name is sen, a soon-to-be samurai whose name will be imprinted in history.
Tumblr media
"waaa waaa!" baby sen cries out.
soon, the baby grew up. as per told by the priests that this child would be the answer to the future, lil baby sen grew up to be a smart, strong, and super sugoi samurai. now, known as a samurai, whom is a freelance warrior going around all of japan to save the world. he journeys all over just to take down unearthly forces.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
samurai sen led an adventurous life... often defeating giant monsters (like gashadokuro and that fish looking ahh) that cannot be seen by a normal soul. it seems he has a mission to defeat these creatures of the night. and truly, even as he is a youngin, his journey never ends. until...
he met a beautiful girl.
Tumblr media
her name is lady @seumyo , a woman of a noble family. samurai sen knew he had no chance with a woman of nobility... they both knew it is wrong for a commoner and an almost princess... but regardless... they... they... k k k k k k k kissed... under the sunset 😱😱😱
that is truly taboo!
one of lady seumyo's servants saw them kissing and went home to report to seumyo's father. he was enraged, and stormed right to the forbidden temple. mans wanted revenge, so bro made a pact with devils to destroy and end the samurai's life..
completely unaware of this devious and unfathomable evil, samurai sen did not think that this was his last time that he will be drinking with his buddies. he laughed with them, sharing drinks with them, and spending their last moments together as bros.
Tumblr media
"we are sworn brothers!" samurai sen held up a toast. "sworn brothers!" "#4liferz!" "broskis forever!" "we'll die together!!" the others also toasted before sipping their last drink.
DUM DUM DUM!
the sounds of thunder cracked through the sky as lighting flickered throughout the dark heavens. the samurai knew it was a calling to settle this raging night, so he set out with his sword alone to face the issue.
oh my days! raijin kami (the thunder god) is present!
Tumblr media
"you dare disrupt peace between the worlds, you mortal!" @heartkaji said, striking a drum as a strike of lighting shoot at samurai sen. "whaattt! but i didn't do anything!" he deflected the lighting with his super cool stainless steel samurai katana.
"SILENCE MORTAL! THE DEVILS R OUT TO HUNT AND THEY HAVE SAID IT WAS YOU WHO FREED THEM!"
the samurai scratched his cheeks with the hilt of his sword. "uhm, I don't understand, but looks like I have to fight you, raijin-sama!"
the legendary battle commenced with a mortal human and an eternal god. it was a long battle, samurai sen's resolve and determination never ending as he felt himself dying. "i... i don't wanna die... i still haven't seen seumyo's elbows..."
Tumblr media
"fear not, dearest..." a woman on a majestic white dragon swooped down and helped sen. "for you are the chosen one by the heavens. raijin! go back to your timeout! you've been naughty lately!" the beautiful goddess demanded the thunder god as he groaned in annoyance and disappeared into the heavens.
apparently, samurai sen is a gift from the heavens. the next new being to become a new god. in truth, he is already dead. he is only fighting with the thunder god to pass the god test, except his true examiner is @white-poppie.
how did samurai sen died...? well, one of the demons that seumyo's daddy made a pact with ate him at the boys night out LOL. now it is his time to take revenge on all the devil's that were let loose. this time, as a newly reborn courageous god.

Chapter I
A New Beginning
Next Chapter
It was that midday. On that midday—chilled and under substance of weariness came to light when you stepped out of the cramped space with an extension of your hand stretching towards the driver’s hand to escorted you down from the carriage, staring at the glorious—rather gloomy—weather with 100,000 people compacted at every street corner, people waving each other farewell, others have an under inspection of clean hygiene. Then the departed ones kissed and hugged their loved ones and embarked on the grandiose ship.
Goliath.
Goliath is a ship that stretches 1000 ft. 10 inches—all crisp and sharp colors of red, black and gold protruded over a sullen day.
It was that day.
That day you’re going off to a different country to be wedded off to the great Zeke Yeager, the man who belonged into a clan of Eldians. Eldians are anything but elite people who holds more jewels, crown, gold and diamonds than any Marleyans and the poor could ever afford. They owned several mines and tobaccos across the peaceful land. Since the success battle between Eldians and Marleyans has been the greatest rivals since the dawn of time, things have escalated when the usurper, Eren Yeager, destroyed the Marleyans with an undercover invasion. Paradis, an island of Devils, overtook the headlines and marked into the history within the Marleyan lands.
It wasn’t all what Eren Yeager did. Secrecy is just as deep and thick as one’s blood that Eren isn’t willing to share on what he did to gain riches and status. And how Zeke Yeager got the title as a king to Eldians baffled you. In your heart, you knew, even your family and servants knew, Zeke Yeager is born as an Eldian—a commoner, but in the once rich land of Marleyans, served under Commander Magath, as the Eldian Warrior.
Warriors. Nothing but grueling, war-hungry freaks, thinking what they do is best for everyone when they have forsaken at their most vulnerable moments in mankind. You hated war, no matter what kind. It’s always the same thing. In the history of time and space, all people ever do is hate one another, it’s what they’re always good at—no hearts to spare, not even a shred of kindness. People are afraid to understand beyond their comprehensions and decided to take it by force.
More so, eternal power and fortune, to remain as untouchable. Humans craved it as a source of validation—their pleasure and a wanting of an endless gift.
It baffled you to the idea where lies are just a gain of source for the Yeager brothers to achieve their goals in one fell swoop.
The Yeager brothers are clever. So clever it froze you into thinking of a never-ending “what-ifs” and scenarios in your stable life.
You were fine with the idea of being spinster, until your dearest mother proposed the idea of you to be shipped off to see Zeke Yeager and wed him before the Goliath arrives at the new Eldian land that the Yeager brothers established after the Rumbling they called on years ago.
You weren’t just some old horse to be put down and casted off when humans so desire. You have a heart with feelings and distinguished ideals. A bird is a bird that meant to be freed off themselves from the nest and gain gift and glory to the best of their lives with a spread of their wings, no matter what kind. That’s the hope that you’ve longed for. But your mother has the extreme case of putting your ambitions and wishes, down and dead, by calling you “a silly little girl who knows nothing about the real world,” with a haughty laugh.
Despite your mother’s guttural, uppity laugh, your ears deafened at the sound of Titans’s feet crushing upon ruins and fire. You were scared before; cherishing one’s life after being born is the greatest gift to ever exist, but to be stripped off underneath the Rumbling’s stampede was another. You could hear your dead friends running and their bones crushed with their last teardrops stained into your memory. It wasn’t supposed to be this way, yet somehow, you survived. With life moving forward, you found yourself floating and idle instead.
Titans no longer exist. But you’d rather be eaten and tear apart and stomped on than to be at the mercy of the Yeager brothers as a hollow self.
As an aristocratic Marleyan, you are born to be crowned with a blessing and a curse, filled with purpose and luxury. But to think your blessings will be outnumbered soon as soon as you stepped your feet into the ship of Goliath.
As soon as you enter the ship, your mother halted to your side and whispered, “There’s someone I would like for you to meet. Come this way; you shouldn’t make our honored guest feel uncomfortable.”
~~~
Levi Ackerman, a man with his youngish looks is tired of constant battles between soldier to soldier, enemies to enemies. soldier and titans. But this time, his battling with his last luck.
Beyond the crowd, Levi leaned his shoulder against the lamplight post with a cigarette in his mouth, the smoke smeared alongside the Goliath’s upon the bustling chimneys. Goliath’s a sight to behold. A commoner like him could never get onto the gigantic ship. He has no money to spare, not after the war he carried on as the last surviving member of his people—a lone man last standing amongst the pack of crowd, who have forgotten about the war that Levi faced and sacrificed alongside the people Levi knew.
Under his weary lids, upon the bluish-grey gaze of his narrow eyes, he examined the loved ones separating with tears streaming down their faces with their smiles quivered.
This is what they wanted to see.
If only they’re here…
In his heart, maybe, but the physicality on being here with him, watching the crowd, alive and happy, was something extraordinary and rare to behold.
If only Titans didn’t exist…
But if Titans didn’t exist, he would serve no purpose but to live his days in the underground—no air and sunlight, just people in the dark and make decisions that are undesirable and irritable—more so, irrelevant. Being a thief was challenging for him.
His love of cleaning is still there; he tidied himself through and through—effortlessly polished. Luckily, he didn’t need assistance; none of his eyes are damaged, neither his fingers chopped off. The only thing his body has damage is his left leg—though not severed or broken. He dislocated it from his last battle in his threshold with walls.
His cigarette burnt out quickly, thus nearly burned the skin on his fingers. His tongue clicked with annoyance, flicking the used cigarette off the ground and stomped on it.
Until now, his mind insistingly conjured up to the Rumbling. He didn’t want to look at the burnt cigarette, so his eyes focused elsewhere while his shoe deepened against his used smoke.
His eyes watched two lovers striding with giddy, who are also watching the folks climb onboard into the Goliath ship. Out of the blue, the young man got down on his one knee and pulled out the velvet box that contains a small diamond ring. The young woman caught on this and cried with happiness with her hands over her mouth, eyes glistening and knees shaking but kept herself with composure, but soon hopped with joy. Levi knew that the young woman would eventually say “yes”, and watched further as the young man spun his soon-to-be wife around as the crowd looked over and congratulated them.
Adjusting his cravat, as he was about embark his journey, a large colorful lollipop displayed before his eyes. Then a large shadow looming over him. A stink of breath drew closer to his ear, but not too close.
“Hey, little kid, you want a candy? Don’t worry, it’s free of charge,” a grating, raspy voice said behind Levi, laughing. Levi knew who it was. How did the clown survive from the Rumbling?
With his cane, his feet ambled briskly. He didn’t look who’s behind him, but he trudged into the crowd to lose the sight of a clown as the clown shouted in a slur that Levi doesn’t wish to understand or give his time for.
As he strode before the Goliath upon the thick spectators with ease, there were four men nearby shouting at each other about their gambling aftermath. Two of the men—Marleyans—wanted their tickets to the Goliath back, but unfortunately, the other two, who Levi assumes, are the Eldians—not born from Paradis—are shouting with their justifications. The golden tickets are on the table, to where the four men gambled. In a pure instinct, he grabbed the golden ticket with him and trudged his way to the bridge that was about to close soon within 7 minutes.
The inspector stopped Levi. “Do you have any diseases or bugs on you, sir?”
Levi looked at the crew member with a discern, nerving look in his eyes.
Realizing who Levi is, the crew member swallowed his fears, and in a low voice, his neck inclined forward and said, “It’s good to see you again, Captain Levi.”
Levi Ackerman adjusted his fedora hat. “I’m not the Captain anymore. I’m nothing more than just a passenger of the ship.” Then climbed onboard. As he traveled his way to the ship’s deck, he didn’t give so much of a wave, he lit his new cigar and watch the anchor and the rope lifted, ready to take off.
He wasn’t much of a person with goodbyes, but the sight of peace has taken its way to his heart with pride and glory, after a long road of betrayal, sacrifice and courage that solidifies and shaped on what he became as then and now.
Saving the land and the people is worth it.
Marika and Radagon as two wills
What's intriguing about Marika and Radagon's dynamic is that it's not as simple as the two of them being a single shapeshifting character, or that Radagon was created by Marika to do her bidding. Rather, they appear to be two individuals born in two separate bodies, possessing two minds and two wills, locked in a battle of ideals even after fracturing into one being.
As Goldmask's final cogitation reveals in the Mending Rune of Perfect Order, the singular god embodied by the duo is perpetually vacillatory. Even as far back as the 2019 teaser trailer, Marika and Radagon are depicted not in cooperation, but in contest. With each drop of the hammer upon the Elden Ring, the two alternate their intents—Marika attempting to destroy Order, and Radagon to repair it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Erstwhile, Marika and Radagon lead two separate lives, even if seemingly cooperating in a clandestine plot to immortalize the Age of the Erdtree. While Marika was married to Godfrey, Radagon fulfilled his role as conqueror of the Carian lineage, binding the moon and stars to the fate of the Golden Order. Though Marika was elected an Empyrean by the Two Fingers and ascended to godhood, Radagon was no more than a human champion descended from the dwindling monks who were tasked with guarding the giants' flame.
This dynamic is shared by an unusual pair of characters: the twins known as D. Darian and Devin are referred to as twins, sensing each other's shared existence, yet the two have never met nor spoken. Like Marika and Radagon, they occupy two bodies and two minds, yet they share one soul. Naturally, they were welcomed as servants of the Golden Order and adherants to Gurranq's hunt for Those Who Live in Death, an unsurprising detail given the god of the Golden Order is, like them, a singular entity in two bodies.
Unlike D, however, Marika and Radagon were ultimately in conflict.
Tumblr media
As one god
Though the two of them married to produce Miquella and Malenia before fracturing into one, it would seem this was not out of any desire to share their godhood, but as a sort of gamble. Gideon Ofnir implores that Marika had devised a trap for the Tarnished, locking them in an eternal conflict under the false promise of becoming Elden Lord; Roderika is convinced that Marika cursed Hewg to forge an impossible weapon to slay a god, and begs you to kill her. What neither of them have learned is that Marika is already long dead, crucified and impaled on what appears to be a shard of Destined Death, while Radagon survives, preventing the Tarnished from instilling their vision upon the Elden Ring.
Though we never interact with Marika directly, one facet of her character that crops up in several instances is her anguish following the assassination of her son, Godwyn the Golden. It is mentioned briefly in Ranni's narration in the story trailer, and again in late-game dialogue with Gideon. What's more, Marika's Soreseal, found in Elphael, illustrates Marika's fate as a gnawing curse. Where Radagon is often spoken of as an unwavering zealot, Marika's faith is fleeting, collapsing all upon the Night of the Black Knives.
Could it be that Marika truly wished for an end to Order, and that her temporary exile of the Tarnished was a gambit to undermine the Greater Will? Did Radagon use this to his advantage, trusting the task of slaying the demigods and burning the Erdtree too lofty an ambition for a lowly warrior? Was Marika's offer to fuse with Radagon a means to restrain him within the Erdtree upon her death? Did Radagon agree to this purely so that he could become a god at last and achieve total order?
Tumblr media
All things yearn to converge
A chief characteristic of the Golden Order is the ability to adapt the contrivances in the disparate philosophies and faiths of the Lands Between. This was, after all, Radagon's purpose for marrying Rennala and mastering glintstone sorcery before joining Marika. In a sense, Marika and Radagon could be utilizing this concept of adaptation to subvert each other's will, an irony that allows the Golden Order to sustain itself through contradiction.
Even if Marika sought to shed her curse as a slave to the Greater Will, her trespass was essential in generating the conditions that would sustain the Erdtree. On the contrary, Radagon becoming a god sealed his fate, granting the Tarnished a glimmer of hope that they might fulfill the false prophecy.
In the end, the destiny of the Lands Between rests entirely upon the shoulders of the fateless Tarnished.
Danganronpa 3 Future Arc episode 7
Thonks
(We're back!)
I find it interesting that people blame Makoto for Junko's death.
I get why because he's the one who defeated her. He's the one who won the final trial, learned the truth and beat her at her own game.
He's Ultimate Hope and she's Ultimate Despair.
However, Junko's death is not Makoto's fault. She's the one who pressed the big red button and had all of this set up.
If anything Makoto was trying to prevent her death.
But of course her followers can't blame her so they pick him.
Man... I'm like barely a minute in and I'm on a rant.
Monaca in a dictator outfit while a bunch of Monokuma's at a bar.
Not a visual I expected.
Well Monaca is definitely embodying Junko, doing a lot of her mannerisms and such.
I do find it ironic that Junko's death gives people such despair, it's what she would have wanted.
And Monaca made herself the heir to Junko rather than Komaru.
Junko Enoshima the 2nd aka Monaca Towa doesn't really roll off the tongue, maybe workshop that.
Ayyy Nagisa!
Okay okay the Warriors of Hope are in on this too and know where Monaca is.
Okay but Nagisa's reflection dead ass looks like Mukuro.
Tumblr media
I'm not the only one who's sees it, right?
Awh hell yeah Komaru's blasting Monokuma's with a microphone and taking names.
And Toko is here, trying her best.
I love Komaru's inner monologue of how she was just a normal high-school girl before all of this, while taking out Monokuma's.
Immediately the "hopes not my thing neither is despair" her whole I'm just gonna leave that up to my brother attitude I love it.
Have I mentioned I love the Naegi siblings? Because I absolutely do.
And Genocider Sho is here. I love how Komaru has befriended both Toko and Sho.
Hmm maybe let's not tell Komaru that Makoto was about to either be locked up for an eternity, or if Munakata had his way, executed.
Nooo not the Byakuya fantasy.
What in the world... Why he look like that? Why she look like that?
Ima skip this...
I feel so bad for real Byakuya who is somehow aware of all of this... Poor guy.
It's cool seeing Byakuya's inner monologue. It's no hangman's gambit but it's interesting to see him think stuff over.
And it is suspicious that the killing game isn't being broadcasted, shows they've got something to hide.
I love how Byakuya isn't even that far up in the Future Foundation but takes control abd everyone's just like yeah sure why not.
"Do not fret, for as long as I draw breath this organisation will not fall. I swear it on the dignity of the Togami name."
Nevermind I see why, he was the ultimate affluent progeny, dude was quite literally born to lead.
And it's nice to see it, especially seeing how he's changed and doing this to help his friends.
Also his name means nothing in this world and yet he makes it mean something, man so cool.
Toko and Sho heading into Monaca's base.
This should be good. I love that Nagisa said they don't have the man power and yet these two are just running inside.
It is highly impossible to be more Junko than Junko.
That's just basic maths.
"You're not gonna lay a hand on my brother!"
... No one let Komaru meet Juzo or Munakata.
Actually... Someone please do.
Wait, she surrendered? Huh...
Oh wow she really did blow this pop stand.
And there's a Monokumamobile.
Monaca be acting like every ex Junko cosplayer.
I kinda like this Monaca, just like oh yeah the whole Junko thing eh that was a phase I was going through.
Just laying down and playing games and eating crisps.
I don't trust it tho.
"I don't get it, how did you become such a lousy excuse for a human being."
WOAH!
Komaru!
Wow Komaru Naegi really gives no fucks. She's so over all of this, can't blame her tho.
I... Forgot about the whole Nagito was their servant thing... Huh.
Honestly going soo far down the road you think you're become a Despair filled Nagito... Yeah that'd make me stop in my tracks too.
Nevermind that is the evil smile.
So there gonna kill one of the previous survivors.
... Please don't, Makoto almost lost it when they fake killed Asahina I don't think he can handle a real one.
And Monaca knows but won't spill.
Wasn't prepared for Monaca to actually go to space.
Sure, why not maybe she'll find Kaito.
... Too soon?
I like how it actually gets to Sho that one of the past survivors could be killed.
Komaru being upset at the idea of losing Toko is so sad and sweet.
Aww Komaru and Makoto video reunion.
.... Komaru! Better ways to phrase it, don't say hey Makoto my dearly traumatised older brother.
Monaca told me someone's gonna die because of you.
Like, I get it we don't have much time but don't rip the plaster off that hard.
He's not gonna take this well.
Especially when he's standing next to a survivor from the first game.
Byakuya's attitude of that's complete bullshit, is my thoughts exactly.
"Somebodies gonna die.. Because of me...."
SEE! What did I say?! Oh man I was already concerned for mental state of Makoto Naegi.
And this is only increasing that concern.
I am stressed.
Archives of Fana: in search of the man who sold the world
Remember that it was in the island of Babylon the boy was born,
And in the town surrounded by the two mountainous horns, the man was made and grown.
Nothing really happens by coincidence, just so that you know.
Here on this side of the ethereal grass,
Not everything is limited to the material, for energy is relative to mass.
Mesmerizing indeed how the atoms vibrate and dance,
In eternal praise of their Maker, such is their state of trance.
-
As for worldly success, power, and gold,
You've sampled them well, and have known their relatively hollow core,
For genuine fulfillment of your soul lies in something less, yet something worth more.
Verily in the Divine's sight alone, that your status may reach its highest floor,
its parable is of the gentle heart whose wealth feeds the poor,
who happens to be the custodian that knows well when to draw his sword,
and who happens to be the warrior who knows when to unleash the lion's roar.
-
Truth is stranger than fiction, and you may often find yourself being a conduit for a message that far exceeds one's understanding, even yours.
-
To the gates of hell you once ventured, to know the taste of the sky,
Yet in the abysses' beneath, you gazed upon the devil, a reality no mystic could deny.
-
Raised in Pharaoh's palace, every corner of it you know,
Behind the scenes, and the exterior's glamorous show.
The godless found their fleeting purpose in the consolidation of worldly power,
the amassing of materialistic gain, the pursuit of consumerism, and the worship of one’s own desires.
What's displayed outside, is but a seductive nevertheless a disguise,
and the tyrants' empire is built on illusion and lies.
-
remember the favor of your Lord, as you were saved from being led astray to join their pole,
Call it the west, or call it Rome, it is deemed to fall once more.
-
In one of their late philosopher’s fleeting legacy, he proclaimed: God is dead.
Rather, it is they who severed the tie, and went astray to propagate the lie.
Exalted is Whom no vision can grasp above all ignorance and pride.
Leveraging propaganda and subliminal suggestion of how to live, which ladder to climb and what's right and wrong.
Read this fiction, watch this show, all a scheme, to condition your tastes, and to chain your soul.
-
Remember and remind, Rome's debts will come due,
As the house of cards collapses, bathed in the very blood-river it drew.
Now even more so, exposed is the hearts of stone, no matter how hard they pretend,
with what they’re unleashed monstrosity to your besieged and persecuted kin in the holy lands
No remembrance for the sons of zion, inevitable is their appointment of doom,
But for the orphans of the fearless lions,
Glorious is their coming victory and their ever after bloom.
When everyone puts a price on their name,
We trust you'll be one of the few who put their moral code over material gain.
-
Every soul will be tested, yours will too,
Virtuous character must be exemplified, in honor of the Eternal True.
The heights of your soul must be conquered,
where else other than the mountain's peak is a better view?
Read the Holy writings, and From the oceans of Oneness rise anew.
-
When the servants of your adversary have sold their soul,
You must find the man who sold the world.
-
Join the lovers of God, and with them rejoice in these latter days,
From darkness into light, He guides your way,
So remember Him, that He may remember you, come what may.
GHOST - i dunno i dunno
herrah is dreaming. dead, essentially. the pale king is gone. dead, as well. the hollow knight has broken. it was never alive, and yet it was alive enough to fail.
hallownest is dead. deepnest is dead.
deepnest is empty, nearly. the weavers are gone. back to wherever they came before.
hornet has her duty.
hornet...
there was something about that last vessel. she cut it through when it was too pitiful to keep its own weapon in hand with that nail itself. she hasn't let herself wonder on her situation for ages, but this time--
it struggled, but it was too weak (suffering, twitching, clawing at the blade) to even pull from the pillar she impaled it against before succumbing to the wound.
there wasn't meant to be a place for the weavers to have come from. hallownest was all. a lie of the Pale King's, along with the lie of his salvation and eternal kingdom.
(what is she doing.)
she patrols. she moves. the sickly-sweet rot comes when one stops to think.
what is she doing.
there's a familiar face, suddenly. literally. a face of a dreamer, familiar yet not--monomon's. a servant of hers, mistaken for yet another plundering warrior. returned from where none should have been capable. kept alive despite the blow of her needle, attack made heavier with the weight of thoughts entangled.
something calls him. something she's too numb to hear now, if she was ever capable.
the roaring, endless wind buffets her shell and cloak. calling her. reminding her, to return. she has her duty. she has nothing else.
nothing but her life.
when the simple bug makes his way into fabled Hallownest...
...hornet, once-princess-protector, makes her way out.
Iv'e been compelled lately to ingest an ungodly amount of Halo wiki articles, and I've like Autism latched on the Prometheans, which are insect-like Forerunner enemies that don't really get much love in lore. SO I WANTED TO WRITE SOME OF MY OWN!
So, is there a scenario in which Promethean Knights could gain Agency over their existence as formerly human ancilla? Let's discuss some possibilities.
Tumblr media
The original Promethean Knights were a highly revered sect of Warrior-Servants in the Forerunner ecumene. Their numbers were limited however, and so the Didact supplemented their ranks by "Conscripting" humans on Omega-Halo and transformed their minds into like those of simulacrum via the composer. Appalled by his actions, the Librarian sealed the Didact away on Shield World Requiem, where he and the Prometheans lay dormant for the next hundred-thousand years. While considered Sentient, Knights have no free-will, and are bound in allegiance to either the Ur-Didact himself or the Remnant of the Librarian.
Well, they're both dead! So who currently has control of them? In the Timeline of Halo 5, Cortana gains control of the Promethean ranks after outsmarting the Warden Eternal and convincing him to aid her in her conquests against Humanity. My first thought is that since Cortana has access to the domain, the Librarian Remnant, and has examined a Knight's data core first hand, that she would maybe feel some kind of sympathy for Knights, right? After all, she herself was created from a flash clone of Doctor Halsey's brain, a process that is similar enough in result. She ALSO saw humans get "composed" in REAL time right in front of her!
Well... one would maybe think that she would feel that way, but judging by her actions in Halo 5, that (poorly written) version of her would rather have their sworn allegiance as her warriors, just as the Didact did. No freedom for our Beetle-like friends there :[
Okay, so what if Cortana and Warden eternal are out of the picture? Warden Eternal's whereabouts are unknown to us, though there are traces of evidence online that he "Died while attacking a UNSC ship", basically written out of existence. Along with Cortana dying during the events of Zeta Halo... That leaves no one to look after the Promethean forces on Genesis! If you recall, Genesis is a Forerunner shield world, in which its greatest merit is the Domain. This is significant, but in order to understand why it's significant, we have to explore what the Domain really is.
The Domain isn't some Library, it's an "esoteric quantum information repository" that's said to have its own feelings and intentions, though mysterious in nature. It wishes to correct you when it sees you repeating a mistake that someone has made before, and its recollection of events and memories changes with every new generation that accesses it.
"There was a mysterious quality to the Domain; despite its ubiquity in Forerunner culture, its exact nature or origin remained largely nebulous even to Forerunners. Due to these abstruse aspects, the Forerunners treated the Domain as something mystical and transcendent; it was regarded with reverence and connected to the Forerunners' religious beliefs." -Halopedia Article on the Domain
Perhaps the most significant detail about the Domain is its ability to bestow immortality onto any ancilla that touches it. It also was able to give Cortana a physical form, which further enhances our estimates of its abilities. It has also been said by the Didact that the Domain wants, needs to spread knowledge to others. While it does operate on a set of self-imposed rules, it may decide to violate them on occasion.
The Prometheans were abandoned on Genesis, with no authority figure to look up to, no directive or purpose of existing other than to be discovered by the next tyrant to use them to bolster ranks until their numbers completely erode in battle, tossed aside as tools of war. It was the forerunners that altered their destiny, to strip them of all free-thinking and humanity to fight endless wars among the stars for eons to come. The domain knows this, it must know this after communing with warlords that so desperately wanted to win this war against the flood, feeling their desperation and knowing that these great minds would do anything to save the galaxy from what they inadvertently wrought. The domain knows of the innumerable crimes committed by the Forerunners to achieve this goal. It knows that most of it was in vain.
Would it feel remorse? Would the domain pity these forgotten soldiers, and wish upon them Agency to dictate the path of their destiny from hereon? Or would they face dormancy, nothing more than a collection of forgotten constructs of an ancient civilization, a civilization that cared little of the pursuits and hopes that each soul that inhabits a jagged metal shell may have had before something bigger than themselves transformed them into something less than deserving of love.
But they are on Genesis. Genesis, a word which means the formation of something new. Genesis, nonetheless named after the Book of Genesis where the Hebrew God created the heavens and the earth...and people, capable of free thought and motivations that were internal, rather than directed. On Genesis, the Domain would give this gift to the Prometheans as reparation after a hundred thousand years of torment. They could never be human again, not quite, but they could have something close to it.
Prev / Realm of Chaos, Khorne's Domain
He couldn't remember the last time he had been banished.
Defeated yes, imprisoned in daemon-iron yes, but banished? Crumbling away from the material world, bone and infernal flesh, and coming to in the Aethyr?
It had been a long time. So long that the sensation had been unfamiliar to Khazaan, the mighty Bloodthirster reduced to the merest whisp of his former strength. That fragment of essence in turn had been drawn to it's place of origin, the Kingdom of Khorne. To the ruddy wasteland he fell, at the fringes of the realm, and though he yet had no eyes to see it, Khazaan was only one of countless warriors; daemons of Khorne burning with the shame of defeat.
Tumblr media
The Bloodthirster was just a ghost of his former glory when at last he gained some physical semblance of self. Barely anything he could use and not an iota more, but the Tippler was no stranger to such an existence; subsisting on margins, feasting on weaker creatures to regain his own strength. And that had only been the beginning. Now came the trek to the Gates of the Vanquished, and the journey across the Skull Fields. If there was a time to take advantage of a Bloodthirster, it was now: in this lesser state. Meagre sustenance to a fellow Deathbringer (just being seen in this state was torment enough), but a Bloodletter had much to gain for risking life and limb against Khazaan.
Much to lose too, as the Tippler had demonstrated with teeth and claw, setting those presumptuous daemons on his same path at the beginning. As worthless whisps of nearly nothing. Dogging his steps were Bloodletters, rebels and exiles, undesirables like himself. Khorne was an angry, severe god, but he was also pragmatic. Wherever their loyalties lie, his children were killers first and foremost and so they were servants still, more useful to him alive than dead.
When he had last made this trip he was loyal. Orthodox. A proper daemon of Khorne. Now? Even Khazaan wasn't sure what awaited him at the end of the trials. He supposed there was only one way to discover his fate, so the Bloodthirster pushed on with his loose pack of Bloodletters. The Daemons had retained their stronger notions of brotherhood, common within the exiles. Or, perhaps their concerns had been similar to his own and they were merely terrified. Khazaan couldn't sneer at them; no daemon of Khorne didn't fear their father, his harsh edicts, his merciless punishments.
It might've been a day, hour, or even a second in the mortal realm, but to Khazaan's ravaged senses the journey to the Brass Citadel was endless. Agonizing. At last, he looked upon the seat of his father's power. Even if he had been in his prime, he would've been as a grain of sand next to the massive metal edifice. Resisting the urge to spit upon the holy ground, Khazaan instead shuffled onwards towards the Moat of Boiling Blood. Another challenge, another painful reminder of the price of defeat. Another eternity.
The Bloodthirster at last stepped one bloody, sodden hoof from the scalding wet. He lifted his great horned head and met the molten stare of the Gatekeeper of Khorne, the daemon who would initiate him into the Eight Trials of Renewal so that he might be recast once more. Last he was here, that had been Bellamar, but this new daemon prince he was unfamiliar with. Half his height, yet staring up at the Tippler as if he was the Bloodthirster and Khazaan the Once-Mortal. At this, the Tippler couldn't help but wrinkle his snout.
" Khazaan. My furies tell me much about you." The Prince began, sizing the larger daemon up.
Tumblr media
" First I am seeing your face." Khazaan replied guardedly, " The furies do not squawk of you. You must be new, your deeds miniscule."
" The Deeds of Arcalux, Prince of Fury, are far from miniscule." The Daemon Prince growled, directly in Khazaan's face, enunciating each word. " Bold to disrespect the Gatekeeper of Khorne. But I imagine you have had practice besmirching our fathers name with the company you keep."
" My father. Khorne remolded your flesh, mortal, but his blood runs through my veins alone." Khazaan drew himself to his full height. " I am here to give you my true name so that I might be remade, not argue."
" And what makes you think Kharneth would waste a wit on you?"
Khazaan flared, briefly, in panic but quickly smothered it. Arcalux laughed.
" You, with no wings? You, brought low by a Slaaneshi's trick?"
Tumblr media
" I have suffered the Trek Across the Skull Plains. The trial of Boiling Blood." Khazaan's eyes were hard. " Khorne has not denied me the right to be remade."
" You have not suffered anything. Not yet."
At once, Khazaan became aware of a presence. Overwhelming. Crushing in it's enormity, scorching it's sheer hatred. Looking up at the bloodied, burning sky of his father's lands, he saw the visage of the Blood God glaring down at him. It hadn't been there before, but now it was. Arcalux had stepped away, the Bloodthirster found himself rooted to the spot as a massive, armored gauntlet grabbed him into equally enormous fingers.
He was held then, before the sparking maw of his father, a flea in the grasp of the eternally angry god. Khorne said nothing, but then he needn't. The look told all and, with a whoosh of ashen wind and a sharp wrench of the Blood God's arm, Khazaan was again sent flying. Not the ground, but towards the sky, the sheer momentum of his flight setting his skin alight.
---
Tumblr media
Khazaan roared.
He screamed, in pain but also fury. Khorne had made him suffer the trials, only to reject him at the last? As he stood before gates? It was such cruelty as to make the Pleasure God chuckle. The sky had changed, from red, to the black of the void, to verdant greens. Khazaan finally lost momentum, arcing down, a meteor of destruction. He collided at last with the surface of a deep, deep lake, sparing the Bloodthirster the agonies of being broken against the solid ground as his brother had.
The Tippler swam, clawing his way up through the mucus-thick waters and finally breaking the surface with a snarl. He grabbed at anything, claws snaring thick vines and hauling himself from the wet. The Bloodthirster took a breath and all at once, he was assailed by a reek that made him heave on first inhale. His eyes watered and he tossed his gaze about frantically, trying to get his bearings. It was....a jungle. A riotous tangle of flora and fauna. A daemon-swamp, thick with small leather-skinned, greenish daemons who had to come to curiously inspect the burning intruder. They leered and tittered, whooping and prancing among themselves.
Khazaan snarled at them, retreating into the foliage, stark orange against the putrid greens. The water he had landed in clung to his skin like slime, a balm against his sufferings. It only took a glance or two to figure out where he was. This was Nurgle's Domain. He had haunted this jungle-garden as a fury eons ago and now he was back as a Bloodthirster. Tossed, banished -- explicitly this time -- by the Blood God's claw.
The Tippler was incensed, yes, but he was more grateful he had survived the experience to begin with. He fought for breath, and noticed for the first time a sweetness staining the pungent air. Minutes later, that was followed by the tell-tale sound of Seeker talons and then the Slaaneshi daemons themselves put in appearance. They raced by the Bloodthirster, paying him no heed. The Nurglish Tallyband scrambling after them were similarly occupied. The scene was unusual, and only the aftermath of what had taken place before, as the Bloodthirster discovered.
Khazaan found himself staring at the remains of a battle, corpses of the Slaaneshi half-subsumed into the land by carnivorous plants and slimy sinkholes. When he looked to the horizon, bodies beyond count littered Nurgle's Garden. He could hear the distant sounds of struggle and war, the tolling of plague bells and the whoops and shouts and screeches of capering, killing daemonettes. The more he wandered, the more it became clear-- a war had ignited between the plague and pleasure-kin. And while he was curious as to the cause and of course, parts of him itched to participate, the Tippler only had a singular concern at the moment.
Tumblr media
He had to find his dog.
Freestyle Setting #1
In the beginning there were 6 great gods: - Gwenya, mother of elves. - Bealdor, lord of humans. - Doni, father of dwarves. - Rolghen, master of beasts. - Nurcelinn, queen of fairies. - and Retanvechadred, god of dragons.
Gwenya gave birth to the great elven spirits, also known as the Elven Pantheon: - Velais, he who sang with the winds. - Avaron, he who ruled the flames underground. - Eledys, she who broke the endless summer and created winter, and then was locked in the Eye of the North, encased in eternal ice amidst the sea of icebergs. - Favana, she who restored balance Eledys caused and put animals and trees to sleep during the winter so they would wake up in the spring. Then, Gwenya created elves in a lake of tears Eledys' shed in regret.
Bealdor created humans, and sent his son - Bearn - to spread gifts and teach compassion. But Bearn was killed by humans allied with the evil forces, and Bealdor, unknowingly, turned his back to his creation, only rarely answering prayers of the ones who asked forgiveness for the deeds of their kin. Bearn was known to have many children, but his bloodline spread too thin, and only in the afterlife were they granted any saint status. - Wyrcan, saint of craftsmen. - Heathorinc, saint of warriors. - Modorrah, saint of mothers. - Aergod, saint of fathers. - Creod, saint of death. - Faemna, saint of maidens. - and the Saint of strangers.
Doni himself established the first kingdoms of the dwarves, beginning the divine line of dwarven kings, and died in the age of 1234. It is said he wakes up, at times, in the minds of those who have his blood in them, and his spirit reincarnates every 1234 years.
Rolghen was the primal evil of all, corrupting Avaron and making him his servant, taking his realm and calling it Hell, stealing souls traveling to the afterlife by pulling them by the "tails of evil" that manifest in their souls; Rolghen then used to corrupt souls of the dead, unable to create his own, and turn them into spawns of evil that he spread through the world. He also corrupted Heathorinc, the human Saint of Warriors, and made him his great instrument of influencing the world. His kin is now called Demons, and his children rule Hell, the seven levels of it, leaving one for Rolghen and one for the wildlings and Avaron. - Equamora, Mare of Lust, rules 536 legions. - Porcagul, Boar of Gluttony, rules 828 legions. - Raatavarit, Rat of Greed, rules 750 legions. - Desid, the Sloth, rules 306 legions. - Irivar, Man of Wrath, rules 888 legions. - Seriniva, Snake of Envy, rules 1014 legions. - Lesurprur, Lion of Pride, rules 768 legions.
Nurcelinn shared her wisdom with Favana on how to create the cycle of seasons, and out of it, Faemna created the four Fae Kingdoms, the two courts: Seelie and Unseelie. The Fae Council was held to give the queen advice, as Fae Princes and Princesses gave their say on the needs of the kingdom. Nurcelinn stole the name of the Saint of Strangers from the human pantheon.
Retanvechardred called himself the ruler of all dragons, oldest, first, fatherless and strongest - he is the true, most powerful ruler of the world as we know it. But he was sealed away, sent to rule the void on the edge of sunlight, where rock islands float in the black space (aka a meteor belt). He many children, great dragons of the elements and metals, who now rule the elemental planes. - Emmaflied, she of fire, mother of kobolds. - Nelserfed, he of stone. - Erdieed, she of earth, mother of lesser dragons. - Seisad, he of ice. - Ressaswad, he of water. - Aftulied, she of air, mother of winged dragons. - Achtislad, he of light. - Nattersched, he of darkness. - Aldosgad, he of gold. - Relbissad, he of silver. - Repfuskad, he of copper. - Nitasplad, he of platinum. - Rurkesmad, he of quicksilver. - Litrismad, he of mithril. - Miudorhied, a female dragon lord of an unknown metal. - as well as other, less known dragon lords who were killed by their siblings to long ago for their names to be remembered.
Thus, there are numerous realms.
Mortal realm (known by many names, but ultimately called "Ranoras") + Hell Plane of Light + Heaven (creation of Gwenya) Plane of Darkness Void + Afterlife Plane of Fire Plane of Air, House of Summer Plane of Stone Plane of Earth, House of Autumn Plane of Ice, House of Winter Plane of Water, House of Spring
Map of Ranoras' four continents.
Then spake Mahonri, the Marquess of Pasmin, the son of the duke: “Daritha, Mighty and Powerful Despot whose rule is eternal, Grant my your pardon, O Xim son of Xer, O my Emp’ror, my lord; May you forgive me for coming before you when I am not summoned. I am Mahonri, the son of Duke Yrphax, thy vassal o’er Pasmin, Who for ten years at your side did the Thanium Worlds rape and plunder, And at the Spiral Ihala outwitted the fleet of Indrexu (For in whose honor you renamed the Spiral in tribute to boldness Which the proud Warrior-Queen did display as you conquered her homeworld; And as she earned your respect and your favor, you made her your consort.) Yet in the years since the Siege of Ranroon has my father been missing. I come before you inquiring if you or your spies can give answer As to the fate of my father, Duke Yrphax, the son of Zygomo, Who, when your own father sent forth his navy, attacking from Chandaar, Perished, and with him, his wife and his children and servants and soldiers And all who were in the Palace of Timbers when you came to slay them, Sparing not one of them save were my father, who, through his great cunning, Stowed his way onto your ship as if he were a pirate of Argai; E’er since that day, he has been your most loyal tactician and scouter. It is no secret that you seek to claim the Hutt throneworlds and fiefdoms; Would it behoove not Your Majesty to seek my father’s location? Then could he be once again a great asset to you, Mighty Despot. If you have news whether Yrphax is dead or yet lives, I pray tell me.”
Title: The Rise of a New Pantheon
Chapter 1: The Marauders of Carnage
Blood, sweat tears and a helluva lot of guts on the battlefield as the Desidian troops had overwhelmed Lian. “Take down the tyrant!!” A Desidian warrior let out a battle cry, the tyrant that he was referring to was the King. The king and his men were surrounded and most of them were already heavily wounded.
“Take your stand men! We will not let these Barbarians take us!” The King struggled to keep his footing but he still managed to. “We will not let them take us alive! Do what you must-!”
A battle horn caught each and every soldier’s attention as a battalion of elite soldiers were storming towards the Desidian soldiers. Less than 50 men yet they were one of the most fierce men this world had ever witnessed, a man named Mekhi Devon Valentin leading the charge. “Come on men! What’s a thousand to 50 strong men huh!?”
“You’re in over your head boy!” A middle aged man lectured Mekhi as he was indeed an egotistical warrior.
“Whatever you say Lexis..~” Mekhi cooed playfully before raising his long sword.
The battalion was named “The Marauders of Carnage” due to them being the most feared in all of the lands of Europe.
The king’s eyes sparked with hope and what remained of his army immediately stood up and joined the fight. Mekhi swung his sword fiercely one soldier to another, killing everyone in his wake.
“Take your time gentlemen! Today we dine in hell!” Vennice hopped out of his horse and being a supernatural being had its perks. He went through dozens of unsuspecting soldiers, driving his serrated blade from the mountains of Yendelin through the hearts and necks of the Desidian soldiers. The battle was turned to their favor as the soldiers they were up against shuddered in fear. The Marauders pf Carnage were the most feared mercenaries after all.
The soldiers fell back with only 400 of their men left as they ran back to the hills where their king threw a tantrum, asking how 50 soldiers managed to take down 600 of his. Mekhi panted heavily as he gazed down at his fallen brother in arms as he knelt right next to him. “M-My brothe-“ Adrian coughed out blood and teared up as he was brutally stabbed through the chest with a balista. “A-Ah..”
“Rest easy my friend..” Mekhi gave him a comforting smile while holding his hand tightly. “You are more of a man than I’ll ever be.. See you in eternal damnation..”
Adrian chuckled weakly and weakly nodded. “See you in hell Captain..” Adrian’s eyes slowly shut itself as he drew his final breath.
Lexis kicked Mekhi’s boot as he held the hilt of his sword as it was pointing backwards from his stance. “No point in mourning for the dead Captain. Get yourself up.”
Mekhi sighed deeply before slowly getting up as they make their way to their injured king.
“Great work my friends..” The king smiled proudly while pouring himself some wine being served by his servant which was a young lady with platinum blonde hair, beautiful amazonite eyes and a petite figure all dressed in white as her hair had cute little braids on it.
“Our cut, your majesty?” Mekhi bluntly asked the king as if he wasn’t scared of being beheaded by the king’s men in an instant.
“Ahhh I suppose we should talk business now huh? I love that about you men.” The king licked his fingers as he was also eating freshly roasted chicken. He made a gesture to his servants and they immediately obeyed, carrying crates full of gold before placing them down infront of them. “Your cut, gentlemen.”
Mekhi smirked as took a step forward which alerted the king’s men. “Not one more step Valentin! Take the gold! No negotiations.”
Mekhi scoffed while eyeing one of the commanders pointing his spear at him. “That won’t be necessary Leopolde.” Mekhi continued to step forward. “I want more.”
“Then why don’t you take this fine lady with you, my friend?” The king turned to the lady named Rose with a sly smirk. “I can assure you, she’d be enough to compensate your efforts.”
Mekhi and Rose’s eyes met each other as Rose simply stood there, completely surprised that she was being simply handed over. “Fine. I’ll take her.” Mekhi slowly offered his hand out to the young lady, his gloves filled with blood yet Rose still placed her hand above his. Letting him take her with him.
Mekhi gently held her hand before walking away along with his men while the king’s servants had carried the crates of gold back to their horses.
“Your name?”
Rose immediately shot up and looked at him, flustered. “E-Excuse me?” She spoke with a thick French accent.
“Your name.. m’lady.” Mekhi repeated himself for clarity.
“R-Rose..”
“.. Mekhi..” Mekhi took a while for him to respond as he gazed down at her with a slightly serious look. He cocked his head up to Maximus, his horse gesturing her to hop on.
Rose nodded softly before climbing up the horse right before Mekhi got up and held the reigns of his horse. Rose gazed up at him while his back faced him and immediately wrapped her hands around him in a panicked motion as Mekhi immediately used his reigns to make Maximus move forward. The darkened Knights immediately followed Mekhi’s steed as they ventured into the farlands where their headquarters were. They were a battalion serving no one but to gold. As long as the kings and queens held their end of the bargain, they were ready to serve regardless whether they’ll face the king they once served.
They had set out a small camp as their headquarters and it was already dusk when they arrived. Mekhi got off of his horse and placed both his hands around Rose’s waist as he had set her down afterwards, gently holding her hand as he headed inside his tent. “Take a bath.. I’ll leave you some fresh clothes when you’re done..” He spoke softly and Rose simply nodded yes, not really speaking that much which made his suspicions grow even stronger. What could’ve made her this obedient and submissive.
Mekhi bowed his head and headed straight out of the camp, giving Rose her privacy. As soon as he headed out of the camp. His men danced around the campfire, ale in hand as they both sang a shanty known by heart making the young captain smile widely.
“Captain!!” Francis swayed as he made his way to his captain while holding two bottles of ale. “Come join us!”
Mekhi chuckled softly and waved his hand off, rejecting Francis’ offer. “Not tonight, but please! Indulge in victory and song.”
Francis scoffed before rolling his eyes right before chugging the ale. “As you wish, my captain!” He bowed and had almost lost his footing upon doing so. “M-My apologies!” He laughed and immediately went back to his comrades as he continued to sing with them. Mekhi watched them from the distance and had noticed that Rose already put on some new clothes and let her hair flow freely in the light breeze. “W-Why did you take me away?” She spoke, still feeling a little anxious around him. Mekhi slowly turned his gaze towards her as his arms were crossed. “I am aware of how the king treats his servants.. would be best if you were no longer in his possession..”
“So, I’m now in your possession?” Rose scoffed while her gaze changed into a serious one.
“Oh no, you’re free to go but I wouldn’t recommend venturing out in the evening..”
Rose huffed and nodded in defeat as she gazed down to her feet, thinking Mekhi was just like the other corrupt leaders.
“You can use the tent tonight.. I’ll see to it no harm may come your way.. I won’t hesitate even if it’s my own men..” He muttered softly, giving her a faint smile in the process.
“… Thank you.. Captain..” Rose responded before heading back into the tent.
Mekhi gave her another soft nod before shifting his attention once more with his men in front of him.
The sun had risen again after a few hours and Mekhi had stood guard outside his own tent where Rose was resting as he promised to keep her out of harm’s way. She walked out of the tent, stretching her arms up as she let out a yawn and was immediately surprised that Mekhi was still outside, standing guard. “C-Captain.. May I ask why you still haven’t slept..?” Rose had a slight worry in her tone as he looked up at him.
Mekhi turned around and smiled faintly. “Kept my end of the bargain..” He had also prepared a simple breakfast consisting of roasted salmon, eggs from an Old Dannie bird and some mashed potatoes. “Please.. Help yourself out..” He smiled faintly and had entered in the tent as he placed it down the table as Rose closely followed.
“.. I-I.. W-Why thank you, captain..” Rose couldn’t help but smile at such a kind gesture, making her flustered as she didn’t expect she’d be served a good meal.
Mekhi smiled softly and sat across the table as he poured himself a glass of whiskey. “I will be heading to sleep.. Lexis will make sure he takes you to a nearby village..”
Rose thought about it and decided that she wanted to stay for a while so she gently shook her head in response. “I’ll be alright.. I think I’m able to adjust myself around here..” She smiled reassuringly before starting to indulge herself with breakfast that Mekhi cooked.
Mekhi nodded in response yet considered the dangers of her staying her. “I understand.. Just let me know..” He smiled softly while tapping his point finger on the wooden table.
“So.. How’d a Wisterian end up in Lian?”
Rose’s eyes went wide and immediately shot her gaze up at him. “H-How did you know I’m a Wisterian?”
“You look the part.. The hair, the eyes, everything.. People have said they’re the most beautiful people in the world..”
Rose’s cheeks flushed a light pink while slowly gazing back down her food. “I-I was taken away as a child.. Sold me off from one ruler to another.. I managed to escape but upon returning my homeland.. It was up in flames.. Lian had already conquered it.. Now.. Wisteria is where they produce pharmaceuticals.. The kingdom is known for its magical herbs..”
“So I’ve heard..” Mekhi gently moved his glass in circular motion while listening to her before taking another sip. “One day, we’ll be hired to be the ones taking them down.. It’s only a matter of time-“
“Don’t you think it’s kind of inconsiderate to be rewarded after killing and betraying one king to another? Think about the innocent people-” Rose shot up a glare after cutting him off.
“In war.. There are no innocent people..”
“Mine were!” Rose happened to raise her voice and immediately took it back, instantly apologizing thinking that Mekhi might just cut her tongue off for yelling at him. “This isn’t the first time I saw you and your mercenaries.. That’s why you’re called The Marauders of Carnage. You take no discrimination as long as you’re getting paid.”
Mekhi sighed softly and leaned back against his chair, unable to answer that question. “I’ll get some sleep.. Lexis will keep a close eye on you..” He slowly got up and walked to his bed.
Rose groaned after being ignored like that and stormed out of the tent. Confirming that Mekhi was exactly the same as the corrupt rulers.
Mekhi watched her walk out before shaking his head while sighing tiredly, letting her blow off some steam as he fell on his bed, instantly falling asleep once he did.
Anime Update V2 59
Vinland Saga S2 - I’m still just watching some characters, mainly two slaves, working on farmland and having some conversations with each other, and somehow this anime is making me super invested in it every time! Helps that the conversations tend to be really tense and revealing about the characters having them. There was some action with the visitng warriors setting Olmar up to kill the slaves, and then the one guy slashing Thorfinn repeatedly (to the point of slicing part of his ear off) without Thorfinn once breaking and getting scared to die given what Hell his life has been and still is. With Einar realizing the sort of man Thorfinn is and the warring he’d been involved in, he’s actually tempted to try and strangle him in the night, but thinks better of it. The scariest part was the very last part I saw, where we suddenly see Canute standing among marked graves in the night...
Hunter x Hunter - Welp, Kite’s dead. He fought Neferpitou and got Killua to leave with a KO’d Gon, and Neferpitou murdered him. The end of the episode shows he severed Kite’s head clean off his body! How are we expected to beat these guys now? This is terrifying! However, there was one part of it that sort of cut through that tension - Gon expresses optimisim that Kite’s not dead (even though we soon see he’s wrong) and keeps upbeat and warm-hearted as usual even in spite of what happened, and Killua is just in awe of his pal Gon, internally solioquizing about how Gon’s a big ray of sunshine, or like the sun itself, and there is NO heterosexual explanation for it!
Fruits Basket - Episode covering the whole backstory of Akito’s parents and how Akito was born and shaped into the vile, wretched creature we know her as now by absolute shit parenting. Akira was basically 2001 anime Akito with his illness taking his life while still fairly young, and the dub even has him voiced by Chad Cline, creating a chilling effect whenever he fanciful words of exalting and expectations-raising onto his daughter, which was countered by his crazy wife speaking the truth but doing so in a way that makes Akito out to be a worthless existence that should regret her own birth if she were not, in fact, born for that untruth her father spoke of. And the head servant is just as awful, lying to the young Akito about her father’s soul being inside a box that she must keep shut, and then there’s Shigure who is his own brand of evil altogether. None of this excuses or justifies the behaviors Akito has exhibited and the choices she’s made to control and abuse others just to hoard their devotion to her, but God almighty, it’s hard to see how she could NOT turn out so fucked up from all this. And then even she acknowledges that the box was always empty, that her and her family’s whole “eternal banquet” life was always broken and doomed to fail, and that her life to this point has been one gigantic waste. Even Kureno, the one who’s most kind to her, failed her by enabling her and giving her the false hope of “they’ll all always come back to me”, and as his punishment he ends up on the other end of a knife. Yeah. Akito is now out for blood.
Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works - Shirou, Saber and Rin try to plan out an effective strategy for dealing with Caster before she can initiate her mass murder plot. Rin and Shirou talk about what drives them in being mages. Saber notices that the left side of her master’s body has become numb and that he may be suffering the side effects of projection magic, and Archer drops by to help Shirou with that and also disparge his heroism ideals once more. Dick.
Re:ZERO - Soooo it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Roswaal is totally an evil bastard. He was sketchy to start with and at this point he’s just going to start making it more and more obvious that he’s the bad guy. Felt bad for Emilia continuing to have to endure traumatic memories (that we weren’t shown yet) in order to complete that trial, felt bad for Subaru having to worry for her and put up with Roswaal’s apathetic and self-interested bullshit, and I have to wondder if Ram has actually forgotten about Rem at all given her face when she hears Subaru speak Rem’s name. Then Subaru heads back to the mansion to speak with Frederica again only to find it seemingly vacated all of a sudden. ....And then he gets skewered from behind by none other than Elsa Grandhirte! Did NOT see that one coming!
Symphogear GX - Watched the OVA shorts for this series. Not quite as fun as the last ones, but still insanely entertaining, especially the ones with the F.I.S girls serving their jail time (they’re always stealing the show, aren’t they?) and the ones with Carol and the Autoscorers making preparations in their lair, which showed Carol’s more silly comedically serious side and somewhat humanized the villains more.
Eureka Seven - A lot of the episode is spent on Holland and Talho still dwelling on their past war crimes while Gekko State goes to catch a big wave that’s supposedly brewing in the sky on the other side of the planet, and we see Dewey now clean-shaven and getting his hair cut and groomed as he gets an update on affairs from his twerpy lackey Dominic. Talho ends up redirecting the Gekko to the ruins of a military base that holds some special meaning for her and Holland. Then Anemone and her Nirvash unit, The-END, arrive at Dewey’s military base and oooooh geez, things are creepy already!
Gintama - Odd Jobs Gin is no more! Didn’t you guys read last time?
In The Time Warriors Cap Of Think Franchise, I Am Creating About Time And Space Travelling, AS WELL As Solving History's MOST MISTERYOUS And Dangerous Enigma's, Larz Rhevoltz Is YET ANOTHER Character That Comes From, And Represents The Industrial Revolutions Time And Space Period, A Denmarkese Train Machinist, Working At His VERY OWN Home Country, And With Whale-ish, Icelandish And Irish Descendency On His Blood, AS WELL As Jenny's Main Rival, In The Time Warriors: The Age Of Revolutions Volume Who Embody's Videogames, Comics, Books, Movies (Anime And Toku Version) As Well As Animated Series, Notable For His Screamy Voice, A Heavy And Strong Denmarkese Accent That Never goes Away, A Hair That Resembles A Bit Scrambled Eggs, Infinity Persistance And Pratically Infinity Aknowledge About Steampunk Engines, Machinery, Locomotives And....
Well, RAILS, He Used To Be The President Of The Giant, Evil Imperialist Conglomerate, The Revolutions Megacorporation INC LTDA & Incorporated, THAT When Jenny Used To Work, As The Propaganda Girl For The Same Company! He Actually ALMOST OWNED The Company At The Time, Since HIMSELF Had Acess, To At Least, 67% Of The Company's Money And Resources, While His Father, The PRESIDENT ITSELF, Only Used To Get Sactisfied With The Rest, HOWEVER, WHEN Jenny Was Dismissed And Fired Off The Company (That Is: HERSELF Quit It, When She Find Out, That The Company Was The Responsible For The Misteryous Vanishment Of Her OWN Family, And That They Planned To Kidnap And Brainwash Her, To Make Herself Work For Them, For ALL Eternity), Rails Have Lost His Importance--
As Well As His Father's Respect And Affection As A Son, Now Being Seen To His Father's Eyes, NOT As His Biological Son Anymore, BUT YES, As A Mere Servant, Demoted To The MERE Position, Of A Train Machinist On The Revolutions Megacorporation INC Company Subdivision For Steam Engines, As Well As Other Kinds Of Steam Based Vehicles Used For The Heavy Transport Of Aglomerated Masses, In So Very Little Time, He Now Had To Work At Least, 16 Hours By Day, With Only 8 Of Rest, Taking Care Of His OWN Trains, Feeding Coal When they Needed, Cleaning Them Up, Fixing If Something Was Wrong, And FURTHERMORE, Taking Denmarkese People, From the Ending of the 18th Century, Here And There However They Needed, It's Not That Rails Complained Or Anything, IN FACT, He Was Actually GRATEFUL For Working With The Thing He Loved The Most, And That Dedicated His Life to it Again, That Is--TRAINS Once Again, Having The Pleasure Of Taking Care Of TONS Of Steam Engines With His OWN HANDS Again, As if they Were their OWN Children! HOWEVER, In Order To Recover His Father's Respect And Admiration Again--
ALONGSIDE His Old Role In His Father's Company, He Started To Tirelessly Hunt Down Jenny Here And There, Each And Every Single Time Possible, Disturbing The Progress--Either On Her OWN Solitary Journey, Either If She Is Working With The Time Warriors, Any Other Kind Of Independent Group Or With Just Someone Else, Willing Strongly To Bring Her Head Back to Her Father--Alive Or Dead, So She Can Be Melted Down And Dismounted, So The Company Would Gather Important Data To Build FAR STRONGER, More, Better And More Powerful Cyborgs For Themselves, HOWEVER, WHAT Rails Doesn't Suspect, Is That, EVEN If He Manages To Bring Jenny Back To Her Father--Alive Or Dead, He Won't Be Promoted Back To His Original Role, As His Father Demoted Him ON PURPOSE, Revealing Later that Jenny's Firing Had Nothing To Do With His Demotion, He Simply Demoted His Son, In Order To Incentivate Him, To Have His Own Independency, And Found his OWN Company, With the Money And Resources His Father Gave Him, So That, IN THE FUTURE, Father And Son Would Compete Over Staying On Top, In The Position Of The Best Company's In The Word, Not With Anger At Their Faces, But With the Gratious Honor, Of Facing A Worthy Opponent....
ABOUT Rails Backstory, It Is Known That His Father Assassinated His Mother, Not Only To Stay On Top Of The Best Company's Around The World, But ALSO He Discovered Her INUMEROUS Acts Of Sabotage And Cheating Against His Company At the Time, As Rails Mother Was A Traditional Whale-ish Weaver, And That Planned On Destroying Her Husban Company, And Bring him to his side, Before The Smashing Progress Would Ruin Her Long Based, Already Now Long Lost Business Set On Her Family Tradition, ALSO, It's Unknown If EITHER Rails And His Father Are Possesed, Or Living In Symbiosis With Two Different Kinds Of Time And Space Interdimensional Entity's, He And His Father Made A Deal With It, To Allow Them To Enteir Their Body's, So They Would Receive A Power SO GREAT, That ALL THE OTHER World Company's In The World Of The Ending Of The 18th Century Would Be NOTHING MORE, NOTHING LESS But MERE INSECTS Under Their Feets, While The Entity's Used to Feed Themselves Of The Life Time of his Workers AND Actual Enemy's, Allowing The Evil Time And Space Interdimensional Entity's To Live LONGER AND BETTER, Empowering Both Rails And His Father! IT IS Suspected, That BOTH Rails AND His Father Are ALREADY Dead, And That The Time And Space Entity's Who Possesed Them, Actually Possesed THEIR CORPSES, With Their SOMEWHAT, Such Said, Supposed Supposedly Divine Power, Halting The Decomposition Of Their Corpses--With The EXTREME COLD Of The Regions Of The North Of Europe, Being A Aid To His Factor, If THAT IS TRUTH, Then In A Careless Moment, When Turning Back, Rails And His Father Will Actually Look Like Living, Walking, Breathing And Talking Zombies, After All, Rails Is NOT Known As The Mad Ghost Infernal Machinist For Nothing!
Inspired CLEARLY By The Kamen Rider Zeronos, ALSO Formerly Known, As Sakurai Yuuto On His Human Form, A AMAZING, NOTABLE AND EXCELLENT Character, Of The Kamen Rider Den-O Series, Belonging To The Kamen Rider Franchise, His Catchphrases Are ALSO Inspired By Yuuto, Such As:
"Let Me Tell You Something, For Start.... I-AM-FAIRLY-STRONG!!" HOWEVER, Depending On The Situation, His OWN Catchphrases Can Vary And Change, The Time And Space Travelling Interdimensional Entity's Who Possesed Both Himself And His Father (WITHOUT Anyone Knowing They Are Actually Possesed, that they KNOW What Happened, If they are REALLY Dead Or Not), Are NOT ONLY Inspired By The Imagins, From Kamen Rider Den-O (That Is A Possible Evolutionary Stage Of Human Beings In The Future, Alongside The Orphenocs, From Kamen Rider Faiz, Who Lack Their Own Time, And Need To Parasite The Time Of ACTUAL Human Beings, In Order To Continue Living, With the Excuse Of "Allow me to Grant You A Wish....", If A Human Is Possesed By A Imagin, Sand Will Start to Flow From His Body, Like A Sand Watch, The Same Case For Rails Here, When WAY Too Much Damage Is Inflicted On Him, As His Physical Body Starts To Rot And Decay, With Sand Falling Out Of It)
Imagins, Such As Deneb (Who Acted As FAR MORE Of Inspiration, For BOTH Evil Time And Space Entity's, Who Possesed BOTH Rails And His Father, Always Asking For "Sorry", Even Tough he Never did Anything Wrong, He Creates Delicious "Deneb Candy", And give it away To People For Free, He Becomes A Gun On Zeronos First Form, Controls His Secondary Form, And On His Terciary Form, He Is A Vest With Machine Gun Shoulders For Zeronos, With His Face As The Chest Plate Part Of The Armor, He Worry's WAY Too Much With His Human Master, Yuuto, And Constantly Gets Out of his Armor Form, To Teach Him How To Fight, Making Yuuto Get Mad At Him), Teddy (A Imagin, Who Acts As A Butler, Servant And Assistant Of The New Den-O, The Descendant Of Ryotaro Nagami--The Original Human Who Acts As A Body Base For Kamen Rider Den O, In The Future, Unlike His Ancestor, Who Is A Weak, Hard Lucked Nobody Lazy Idiot In Real Life, New Den O Is Strong, Always Wins In life, Loved By Everyone And A Fucking Champion, He Can Transform Into A Sword For New Den O To Use) And Fuutaros (The Wind Imagin, In A Alternative Time And Space Line, Where The Kamen Riders Doesn't Exist, He Makes A Deal With A Human Being, To Bring His Missing Brother Back, Even With the Cost Of Messing Up Our Current Time And Space Lines, This One, Was A Original Character, Exclusive Of The Kamen Rider: Heisei Generations Tokusatsu Movie!)
The Evil Time And Space Interdimensional Travellings Who Possesed Both Himself, AND His Father, Are ALSO Clearly Inspired, By The Entity, A Evil And Misteryous Time And Space Travelling Being With A Unknown Origins Or Nature, Who Can Feed Himself From Other People's Time Force, If They Don't Answer His Questions Correctly, Who Appeared For the VERY FIRST TIME, In The Doctor Who: Adventure Games, Made By BBC ITSELF, AND The Nestene Conscience, From The Doctor Who Episode: The Snowman, Who Tried To Create Assassin Snowmans In Order To PRETTY MUCH Destroy Humanity In The Industrial Revolutions Time And Space Period, And that ALSO CREATED Out Of NOTHING, The Misteryous And Hideous Whisper Man, Possessing The Physical Body Of The Human Who Hosted Him On Earth When he Died to do So! HIS MAIN WEAPON, Is Literally NO MORE, NO LESS But ONE HUGE CHUNK Of.... RAILS!!!!
Being Holded In What Appears To Be A Semaphore Being Used As A Sword Cable--AND That Can ASSUME DIFFERENT FORMS, Such As Giant Rails.... HANDS, He Can Use To Punch, Choke, Grab, Slap And Throw His Enemy's Away, A Mace, A Hammer, A Sword, A Rapier, A Staff, WITH RAILS MACHINE GUNS INCLUDED! He Can Attack Little Train Shaped Missiles On His Rail Sword, And Throw Against His Enemy's Like A Slingshot! He CAN ALSO Use Different Model Basis Of TRAIN GUNS, And Attack On His Rail Sword, To Fire at the Enemy Safely At Distance, While he Avoids his Attacks AND CAN USE A LOT Of Finisher Moves, Based On The Toqger Train Bazooca Blasts, Gavan's Lazer Blade And ETC....!!
ALSO, With The Use Of What Appears To Be A Pass Key, On His Belt (Who Acts As Some Sort Of "Control Unity", For The Power Of The Evil Time And Space Entity Who Possesed Him, Not To Caressly Overflood And Destroy Unwanted People And Objects Away, Dark Green Energy Based Wings, Shaped Like Clock Points Will Appear From His Back, Allowing Him To Raise Up In The Sky, And Destroy The Enemy With A Powerful Rider Kick! ALSO, The Fact He Is Possesed By This Time And Space Entity, Somewhat Gives Him A "Sixt Sense", Allowing Him To Preview A Enemy Attack By Realizing His Energy Readings Nearby, Giving Him Time to Either Attack, Run Away Or Think Of A Plan, DESPITE Having His Hearing, Audition, Smelling, Feeling And Tasting Improved, (As He Is Pratically Immune to Food Poisoning, And Other Kinds Of Dirty Tricks Like that) He ACTUALLY FEEDS Of The Energy Of Enemy He Is Fighting Against, EVEN Without the Enemy Noticing It, HOWEVER, THERE IS A LIMIT Of How Much Energy He Can Absorb, If the Enemy IS REALLY Pumped Up To Fight And Kill Him, He Won't be Able to Absorb His Negative Energy, Or Will Faint due to A Overdosis--He Already Lost TONS Of Battles HIMSELF Like that! HE ALSO Shares Another Kinds Of FAR MORE POWERFUL ABILITY'S, ALONGSIDE His Father, Such As Manipulating Sand As Will, And With, Temporarily Reviving Dead Corpses To Use Them As His Body Shields In Battle (The Same Way Clock Does, On His Sand Watch Form), He Is Capable Of Seeying The Time And Space Vital Force Energy Inside Of Each And Every Person, And, Depending On The Person's Spiritual State, He Can Either Kill Them For Good, Making Their Heads EXPLODE In Sand, With A Snap Of His Fingers, Imobilizing Their Body's With Sand Or Just Confusing Them With Toxic Sand that Can Flow Out Of Nowhere, All Thanks To Minuscle Time And Space Portals That May Appear Around The Character, Utilizing The Flow Of Time And Space Around, To Kill His Enemy's With ONE SINGLE Energy Wave, Actually TORTURING Them, By Killing Them Multiple Times And Reviving in the Same Rythm, ONLY To Later VAPORIZE Them For Good (The Same Way Oma Zi-O Did In Kamen Rider Zi-O, AS WELL As Clock Does With The Long Now Form, That Is Basically No More, No Less, But His REAL Final Form!) HOWEVER, Those Are ONLY ACESSIBLE To Him, If He Has Leveled Up ENOUGH In Order To Do So!
