dont hold a knife to my throat if you don’t intend to kill me.
that was what i meant to say, that day, when you told me about your family & your fears & your dreams about the future & you pressed the wrong side of the blade against my neck.
blood on the grass, blood on your cheek. i won’t tell you that you’re pretty. i know the song that you’re singing. i’ll hurt you back, i know it.
blood on the grass, blood on your teeth. you’ll tear at my heart but you won’t swallow it. im sick of the song that youre singing. i’ll hurt you back, goddamnit.
i keep chasing the crows away but they keep coming back. i’m a twitching body, still, but not quite a dead one yet. (i told you not to hold a knife to my throat if you don’t intend to kill me.) someone’s pressing their hand to my leaking faucet of a neck and im gurgling blood like a baby, im gurgling your name like a fool. i wont leave you my bones to come back to.

Mythology Moodboard: Norse mythology
Rán+ Ægir : Giant, sea personnified, Ægir is married to the goddess Rán, the thief, the cruel sea who takes careless sailors to her net and shelters them in her hall. Together they welcome Aesirs and Vanirs to feast and drink and it is during one of those feasts that Loki, the god of mischief ridiculizes the other gods in the Lokasenna. Together, those two sea gods have nine daughters, waves personnified. While Ægir tends to represent the benevolent side of the sea, Rán represents its cruelest aspects.

where do they go- the memories, the dreams, all the things that used to be better? i know only so few things: i lost myself, then found her again, waiting for me in the springtime sunlit dawns. she is not quite how she used to be, and she will not tell me where she has been. i look for answers under the sweeping branches resting by the water, but there is so much coastline. so many shades of green. they all dip down into the river where it widens, slow and lazy and rippling with shadows, where i used to pretend i was a queen, beautiful and strong and made of summer
open flame//ast.

i. dusk
remember when i chased you along the shoreline?
and you turned back & looked at me,
sand between my toes to sand beneath your feet,
& i swore i would never feel this way again.
(i was chasing the sun. oh, i was chasing the sun.)
ii. night city ride
you, you, you -
haloed by the moon; tonight the city is godless.
the wind rips away our softness & leaves us
bare-teethed, bones jutting.
(i’ll sand off my edges until i fit into your ribs.)
iii. secret
i crush it under my tongue - choking on the
bitterness, trapping it in my mouth. (you, you, you.)
maybe tomorrow i’ll ask about the blood on your knees, but for now the wind carries our laughter away into a little cave by the sea & we can be still.
we can be still.

Mermaid moodboard : Crocodile mermaids
Those mermaids, whose tail is one of a crocodile, are usually found across Africa, mainly in rivers and especially in the river Nile. Some wanders around western swamps of the continent and others tend to dwell in the sea, near the shore where they can eat. They mostly eat snakes, sheeps and other animals but there are rare cases when they eat humans. In ancient times, they were revered as Sobek's daughters in Egypt and were told to be spirits of the water to be feared by the population. That is why they were often given gold as a sacrifice for it was commonly said that whoever was in their good graces was bessed by the sea and rivers and that having one's trust would grant you wealth.

Spring flowers + full moon 🌻🌙
hello cutie
spring flowers: what’s your favourite flower/plant?i rly love baby’s breath + cherry blossoms!!
full moon: do you prefer the stars or the moon? tracing constellations with your eyes or picking the petals off of flowers?
the moon. i could spend hours staring at the moon. and definitely tracing constellations with my eyes - the idea of picking petals off flowers seems so cruel to me sfldjgljkdfg

Cosmogony
In the beginning there was nothing. Just a gigantic being living in a white void whose blood was black as ink; so black everything it touched seemed to disappear. Then, when he died, his body exploded in millions of particles; molecules. The molecules made of flesh became planets and the molecules made of bones became unlightened suns. His blood filled the void and covered the entire universe.
Many centuries later, a race of beings made of light was born from the darkness. They explored the universe, lighting suns, creating stars and bringing light in ever corner of the universe. They were thirsty for knowledge and beauty and they beleved beauty lied in light.
Then, one day, they arrived on a planet whose sun was not yet lit. On the fertile soil of this planet, they discovered a tree that could not grow; a tree so small a flee would have seemed bigger; a tree weak and fragile. Those beings loved beauty and the tree was for them all new; they found it beautiful. They lit the sun and helped the tree grow with light, time and patience.
The tree then grew and grew until it reached the clouds; his trunk so large it sheltered a whole forest. It became the world tree; whose roots goes so deep into the ground it connected with another tree in another dimension. Our tree. As the Vikings called it, Yggdrasil.
While they were on the planet, those gardeners erected high stones and carved them with peculiar patterns. And they decided to stay on the planet. Once the tree fully grown and magic filling it and its stone, they deemed their duty done and returned to the stones, imprisoned, filling them with the magic that flow in the world. The ancient stones now shelters a strong magic which almost disappeared.
Then, the old ones were created for nature gained a conscience and the magic of teh world tree and the stones strengthened. The Tall kin was to be their messengers; their nameless children whose task was to serve them.
And at the same time, men fully evolved. Tribes and civilizations were born. Among them, the Forgerons, asked by the Tall kin to forge a blade they would later fill with magic; Brandwyennaidion.
And many years later, the Tall kin disappeared and began the age of men, magic slowly vanishing...
