The Ghostly Lovers of Blue Bayou
read it on the AO3 at https://ift.tt/GmPlQtX
by Ophelia_Yvette
They say the ghost of two Arcadian lovers haunt the waters of Bayou Teche. Though that’s not that say other ghosts don’t. Some don’t even have to be dead to haunt it’s banks. They have to be running from everything and anything they’re ever known.
And Hermione would say she fit that category, gone but not forgotten.

Tis’ the damn season (Regulus Black)
Summary - The war ruined many things, including Regulus Blacks relationship. Or did it?. OR. Based on tis the damn season by Taylor Swift.
Warning: swearing. Nothing else I can think of. Not a huge fan of the Epilogue but I tried to rewrite it 3 times and never liked it so it is what it is. Hasn't yet been proofread and was half-written at 4 am.

If I wanted to know who you were hanging with
While I was gone I would have asked you
After the war ended in 1981, large numbers of witches and wizards left Britain to start a new life away from the memories that had tainted the grounds at home. Y/n was one of these witches. She had moved to France before the year was over and only returned once a year at Christmas time.
It was always nice to see her friends again. She missed them when she was away. The limited-time they had together was spent catching up and relaxing after another often stressful year.
Currently, she was sitting around one of her old best friends dining table with 7 of their school friends. It had been a busy year for the group. Elsbeth Macdonald, Y/n's old roommate, had recently become Elsbeth Rowle after marrying her Hogwarts sweetheart Fenris in the autumn.
The newlyweds were sat next to each other across the table and next to them sat Evangeline Burke and Jamie Fawley. The two had become parents within only months of each other. Y/n was yet to meet the next generation of the friend group, however was sure she would in due time.
Then there was Ophelia Rookwood, who had been promoted to head of Magic Law Enforcement In January and was doing everything she had planned to do while in school.
Finally, sitting next to Y/n, was her ex-boyfriend. Regulus Black. They had been disgustingly in love for 5 years, then one day to everyone's surprise they ended. The pair had been making small talk, discussing their families and jobs, as one does with their ex-partner.
"I was seeing someone," He told her as he picked up his fork, looking away from her as the words tumbled from his lips. She felt her heart begin the sink a little bit, she had only ever been on dates since their breakup, and nothing ever got past the first date.
"Oh ye?" She asked, attempting not to sound as if the news bothered her.
"Ye, Eden Greengrass" He responded simply. The group had all split into separate conversations by this point in the afternoon, and good thing because this conversation would have been nothing but awkward if it had to happen with everyone involved "It's over though, I ended it about a month ago" she simply responded with a small murmur of acknowledgement.
There's an ache in you put there by the ache in me
But if it's all the same to you
It's the same to me
Their breakup had been a surprise to everyone who knew them, however it was quickly put down to the aftermath of the war and was believed to have had nothing to do with their love for one another. They like many others had survived the war together, yet the relationship couldn't survive the healing that was needed afterwards.
They had attempted to make it last, but within only a month they had separated and the 20-year-old witch had moved overseas. Her immense amount of trauma from the things she had seen resulted in the quick deterioration of almost everything in her life, including him.
And no matter how hard she tried to move on she couldn't. She would go on dates and none of them would compare to him. They never lived up to what she wanted them to be, but how could they when she viewed him as nothing short of perfect. And even more so the way she felt when she was with him was perfect, and no one would ever be able to replicate that.
She never knew that he was experiencing the same thing. He got a lot further than she did in his attempts at a relationship, however as soon as they began asking what their relationship was he would end up leaving.
But during the holidays it was as if nothing had happened, or rather nothing had gone wrong. She treated him the way she used to and he pretended that this was enough for him, that two weeks out of the year was long enough to keep him going. In response, she would pretend that she didn't know this was what he wanted all year round, and would bury the thought that it's all she could dream off.
So we could call it even
You could call me babe for the weekend
'Tis the damn season, write this down
After only being back two days she was staying at their once shared townhouse in central London, having inherited a small fortune each and investing in the property while still together. They easily fell into a routine similar to that of what they had before the breakup, only easier.
There wasn't the pressure of making it work because they both knew they weren't together, and they didn't have the worries caused by the war. For 2 weeks they could happily pretend nothing had ever gone wrong, that the war hadn't happened and that they weren't both fairly traumatised from the horrors of their younger years.
The sound of the shower running up the stairs was the only thing that could be heard in the house. Y/n was in the large kitchen attempting to cook them dinner in the muggle way. Busying herself with cutting the vegetables she never noticed their old tabby cat entering the kitchen.
She gave a small gasp when she felt the small creature brush past her leg, before letting about a laugh and kneeling down the cats level.
"Hello darling, what are you doing sneaking up on me?" she ran her hand down the cats back as it purred. "I missed you goldie"
Little did she know that Regulus had made his way down the stairs, having had his shower and smelt that she was cooking downstairs, coming to meet her in nothing but a towel. When she came into view he found himself resting against the doorway, watching her in their kitchen like she'd never left. A smile graced his face as he watched her looking so natural in their place, looking as beautiful as she always did.
"What are you cooking babe," he asked her, making his presence known. She straightened up and turned to look at him, returning the smile he was giving her.
"Well I'm attempting to make vegetable soup, but it's not going to be great" they laughed at her statement, it was well known between the two that she wasn't the best cook.
"Why didn't you get Kreacher to make it," stepping behind her and wrapping his arms around her waist, watching over her shoulder as she continued cutting the vegetables into what were meant to be equal-sized pieces.
"He's gone to sleep I think, and I didn't want to disturb him. He's been working even harder since I've come back" she told him and he left a gentle kiss to the back of her neck in response, mumbled a small 'of course'. He had always loved that she valued their house-elf, that she didn't treat him the way many with their upbringing did.
I'm stayin' at my parents' house
And the road not taken looks real good now
And it always leads to you in my hometown
Whenever she didn't stay the night at Regulus' she would stay at her family home in the countryside of greater London. These nights were few and far between during the weeks she was home, but she knew she had to see her parents at some point during the year. Even if their relationship was complicated.
"And how is Regulus doing these days," her father asked her over the dinner table, her mother glancing up at her after hearing the question.
"He's doing well, he's been promoted at the ministry" she responded, digging into her food once again to attempt to avoid any further questions.
"Are you back together?" her mother now asked, putting her fork down and dabbing the corner of her mouth with her napkin.
"No, not really" her short response didn't go down well with either of her parent's, it was clear they perceived it as rude.
"You stay at his house, or should I say your old house, almost every night. How aren't you back together" the older witch snapped
"I don't know how many times I need to tell you mother, it's a complicated situation. It has been for a long time" she sighed and her mum scoffed at the answer she received.
"I don't understand what's complicated about it, we understand that the war was difficult for you, but it was difficult for everyone. But most don't run off to a preposterous muggle village and cosplay as one of them" her mother's voice flew over her head, the hatred crystal clear in her tone.
She was used to the sly, demeaning remarks regarding her relationship with the youngest Black son and the way she chose to live her life after the war. When they had only been together for around 3 months their parents had begun planning their marriage. It had been perfect for them, two pureblood children who had gotten together of their own accord. It was perfect until they then broke up of their own accord, or rather her own accord.
"For a lot of people what you went through would be easy" her father finally spoke up "Just look at your brothers" Her head snapped up at this statement, standing abruptly from the table.
"Albion and Beyron were death eaters Father, all the suffering they faced and will continue to face is of their own doing. They are the only people to blame," she snapped and her mother rolled her eyes.
"And what did your dear Regulus do during the war?" the matriarchy of the family snarked. The loyalty for her older brothers still ran deep within the family, even as they rot in a cell miles away in Azkaban. Any disrespect to their name within the house was never taken well.
"He was 16, he never got the choice. He done what he had to do not only to survive but to keep me alive. They made a decision at 25 years old and made that choice a reality. No one forced their arm out" turning swiftly on her heel she exited the room, hearing her dad mumble 'what will we do with her' before she shut the door on them. Quickly making her way to her childhood bedroom she collapsed on the bed, sighing.
The more she let herself think about it the more she regretted leaving Regulus that day. Had she not they'd likely be married by now. She'd have a new family with someone she loved rather than people she was forced to tolerate. She could have been happy had the war not fucked everything up. Had it not fucked her up. And no matter what she did to try and get better, to get her life back on track, she ended up back on his doorstep. Because it always led back to him.
I parkеd my car right between the Methodist
And thе school that used to be ours
The holidays linger like bad perfume
After New Year Regulus planned for the two to have a weekend away in Hogsmeade village. They were staying for one night at the local inn, the three broomsticks. They travelled by flow and after they had discarded their bags in their room they made their way down into the bar, his hand holding hers.
They spied Rosmerta behind the bar and smiled at her when she recognised them.
"So where to first milady" they spent the day entering shops and cafe's they used to regular while at school, before finally ending up on top a hill they used to sneak to after curfew. It sat a few minutes out of the village and gave a clear few of the grand castle they had called home for many years.
For the first time since they arrived a silence fell over them, and to neither's surprise it was a sad silence. There were still lights on in the far off castle, the only proof that there were people living there currently, even during the holidays. They could see the figure of a large man making his way out of the forest, and they quickly assumed it was the gamekeeper, Hagrid.
"I'd give anything to go back for another year. Preferably 5th year, when we'd recently gotten together and were either too naive or too caught up in ourselves to care about what was going on outside the castle" he mumbled, his arm wrapping around her shoulders. "The war was only a whisper I heard when I was home, or sometimes from the kids in the years above who knew everything about current affairs"
"Everything was so much easier then. And we were essentially glued at the hip" she acknowledged with a small smile. It was true, for them at least, that life got significantly more complicated after they left the four walls that was their boarding school.
"We still could be, glued at the hip" he whispered and she simply let out a sigh.
"Reg"
"I know, I'm sorry. It's just difficult to not think about what could have happened if we had the life we planned when we lived here"
The end of the holidays was beginning to linger, and both their desperation for more time was beginning to show.
You can run, but only so far
I escaped it too, remember how you watched me leave
But if it's okay with you, it's okay with me
"What are you doing?" she heard Regulus' voice from the entry to their bedroom and froze as she realised her plan had been disrupted. Turning slowly to face him his face fell even further when he noticed the tears rolling down her face.
"I'm sorry Reg" he wouldn't have heard her had the room not have fallen deathly silent.
"What are you doing?" he repeated.
"Please don't make this harder than it has to be, you know what I'm doing" she responded, her jumpy voice making it clear she had been crying for a while.
"Don't leave. Darling, please don't leave" he begged her, following her down the stairs as she pulled her large suitcase and two large bags with her. She glanced at the bouquet of flowers he had discarded on the kitchen counter, it was clear he had bought them for her on his way home from work and she couldn't hold in the sob that left her lips.
"I'm sorry, but I can't stay here. There are too many memories in London, in the wizarding world," she explained as best she could while trying to catch her breath. He had come to a stop in front of her and attempted to touch her arm but pulled back when she moved away from him.
"It'll get better with time though my love. We will make it through like we always do"
"It'll never get better here, everything has bad memories attached and everywhere is surrounded by death, all the time. I just can't do it anymore, I've tried and I can't do it" she opened the door starting to leave when he wrapped his hand around her wrist, pulling her back to looks at him.
"Let me pack a bag, we can leave together. Wherever you want. We can work it out together. Things will get better" the desperation in his tone was clear as day, and she had to do everything in her power to stop herself from crumbling into his arms and staying.
"No Regulus, things will never get better as long as I'm with you" she didn't mean to say the words, they had left her mouth before she could even consider them. His mouth fell open slightly at the declaration and she felt another round of tears cascading down her face and neck. Quickly she slipped the engagement band of her ring finger that it had only decorated for a few months and slipped it into his hand, leaving before he could say anything more.
Sleep in half the day just for old times' sake
I won't ask you to wait if you don't ask me to stay
So I'll go back to L.A. and the so-called friends
Who'll write books about me, if I ever make it
The holidays were over, tomorrow she would return to her muggle job in her muggle town in France. She wouldn't return to London, or most likely the Wizarding world for another year and this fact was beginning to set in again. It wasn't her family she would miss, and though she would miss her friends it wasn't them she was sad to be leaving. It was Regulus.
The war had been over 5 years now. Just as long as they had been dating. She would only see him at Christmas then would somewhat easily leave to head back to France, where she could live free from the ghosts at home. But this year felt different. The country seemed to be beginning to heal. It wasn't so dark anymore. People were happy more than they were sad, which was something she hadn't experienced here in years. People, including herself, were starting to heal.
She decided that Sunday morning that she deserved a lie in. The pair seemed to have come to a mutual agreement on this. His arms were wrapped gently around her bare body, her hand running through his hair, she watched peaceful expressions grace his features as he looked at her through half-shut eyes. She smiled as she thought back to the many mornings they spent together in the Slytherin dorms doing just this. When he finally arose she knew it was time to start getting ready to leave, and he knew it too.
"Is that you off then?" he asked her with a sad smile as she entered the living room with her suitcase and bags, similar to what she had the day she left. Goldie the cat jumped off his lap and approached her.
"Ye I think I have everything" she responded simply. She had wanted him to ask her to stay earlier in the day, but when the statement never left his mouth she knew it was best she left. She was the one who had broken things off in the end, so what could she expect.
He stood up and made his way over to her, wrapping his arms around her and she returned the gesture. "Stay safe over there, and if you need anything just write" he whispered into her hair, pulling away briefly before pressing his lips to hers, holding her face gently in his hands.
And wonder about the only soul who can tell which smiles I'm fakin'
And the heart I know I'm breakin' is my own.
To leave the warmest bed I've ever known
After returning home a deep loneliness sank into Y/ns life. Her friendships all suddenly felt surface level and simple. Any romantic feelings she had for anyone when she left for England had disappeared as the only thing she could think about was the dark-haired boy living in London. He plagued her every thought.
It was as though she had been given a taste of everything she could ever want, of the beautiful life she could be living, only to have it snatched away by her own hand. The regret she faced as she came to accept that the bubble she had lived in over the Christmas break wasn't real life was more difficult this year than it ever had been before.
The only friendship she had in France that truly remained by spring that year was that with Monet. She was a muggle only one year younger than her and they had become quick friends all those years ago when she first moved to France. Monet had never met her friends from home or her parents for obvious reasons, but she had heard plenty about Regulus.
"Y/n you know I love you, and I would hate for you to leave this town. But whatever it is that went on in England that meant you had to get away, it seems you are starting to recover. I see no reason why you and Regulus can't work this out now" she reasoned as she poured herself another glass of wine.
"It's not that simple Monet" Y/n responded sadly, siping her own glass of the rich red liquid.
"It is that simple, you just don't want it to be because it's hard to accept that all this pain wouldn't be worth something. But it would be worth something even if you got back together Y/n because you're happy now. I don't need to know what happened to know I met you at your lowest, but you aren't there anymore"
She knew Monet was correct. Visits home were far easier than they once had been. She was primarily hurting herself and there was no longer any justification for it, her happiness over the holidays proved just that. She would never experience a love like the one she had with him, he was her one true love and nothing would ever change that.
And it always leads to you in my hometown,
It always leads to you in my hometown
And that's how she found herself stood on his doorstep in the middle of spring, a season she hadn't seen grace the streets of London in years. The seasonal rain had soaked her through as she stood outside the house willing herself to just ring the doorbell. She could hear muffled music playing behind the door and light flooding out from the windows and under the door. At long last she finally pressed the bell, feeling her heartbeat increase drastically when the music turns down noticeably. Within what felt like seconds the door had swung open and Regulus was standing staring at her in shock.
He let her in before running up the stairs and grabbing her some dry clothes, giving her room to change before joining her in the living room with two mugs of tea.
"Are okay," he asked her once he had settled beside her, handing her the warm liquid. The radio was still playing quietly from the kitchen, drifting through the house alongside the smell of tea. She simply nodded her head at his question, giving him little to go off.
"Y/n" he broke the silence after another minute "what are you doing here?"
"I think I might be moving back to London," she turned to look at him and his eyebrows raised at the news. There were many things he considered that could result in her showing up on his doorstep in the middle of spring, this was never on the list.
"Did something happen?" he asked her gently, his hand resting over hers.
"I love you" he exhaled at this news and she let out a small sad laugh "I love you and I can't act like two weeks a year is enough for me anymore. I need you all year, during all seasons, through the ups and downs. Because you're my person and no one will ever compare, everything always leads back to you"
"I love you too my darling, I always have and I always will" he whispered before taking her into his arms, running his hand over her still wet hair.
16 years later.
After the couple reconciled they had quickly settled into a happy life together. Within a year and a half they were married and living the reality they had always planned together. Their shared townhouse that had once been lonely and cold was filled with warmth and laughter, even before they introduced children into the mix.
It had only taken 5 years for them to have their first child together at the age of 30. They named him Olliver Phineas Black. Then came their daughter 2 years later, Genevieve Monet Black. Then finally 3 years later their final child Aleron Sirius Black.
At the beginning of the second wizarding war, only a few months before the birth of Aleron, the family fled to the familiar village in the south of France to hide from the horrors they had already faced once before. They survived much like they did the first wizarding war and their children being too young to truly understand the horrors was a small comfort. Returning to London was far easier than it had been the first time. The fear ended with the battle, as finally Voldemort was dead. He wasn't coming back. It was finally done.
"Olliver sweetheart are you almost ready to go, we don't want to be late" Y/n yelled up the stairs, helping her 6-year-old son tie his shoes. "Reg is Genevieve ready"
"Yes darling, she's in the livingroom" Regulus mumbled, patting his wife shoulder comfortingly "Don't worry, we're on schedule"
"We can't let him miss the train" she stressed and Regulus just chuckled lightly under his breath
"He won't" any response she was going to give was cut off by their youngest pulling on her hair to gain her attention.
"Mummy where are we going" Aleron questioned
"Your brother is going away to school, the same school Mummy and Daddy went to" She answered with a smile, tucking a piece of hair that was falling into his eyes behind his ear. She heard Olliver begin descending the stairs and picked up the little boy as he continued playing with her hair.
"Will I get to go one day" he questioned
"When you're a bit older baby" she answered. "You ready to go Gen," she asked Genevieve as they pilled their eldest's trunk and owl into the car they had rented from the ministry to get to the station.
In less than half an hour they were stood beside the barrier to platform 9 and 3/4.
"Regulus, you go through first with Genevieve and Aleron. We'll be right behind you" Regulus did as she asked and ran through the barrier with his two younger children, presumably waiting for his wife and firstborn on the other side of the wall.
"Mum, I'm nervous" Olliver whispered from beside her. She looked down at her son and smiled at him.
"You've got nothing to worry about Ollie, Hogwarts is an amazing place. I have no doubt you'll love it" She comforted him and he nodded simply. He nodded at her in acknowledgement "Honestly, you'll feel at home in no time, just wait until you see the castle tonight"
After making it through the barrier, they helped him get his stuff onto the train before hugging him goodbye.
"Make sure and write at least once a week Olliver" Y/n yelled after him as he hung out one of the windows waving goodbye to them. The last thing they saw was a boy and girl roughly his age opening the carriage door and shaking his hand before he disappeared into the distance. Regulus squeezed her shoulders from behind her and she smiled up at him through teary eyes.
"Don't cry, love. He'll be back at Christmas" he whispered, leaving a kiss on her cheek.

Hii I love your hp families fancasts. Can I ask who is Susanna and Bartemius Crouch’s sister? Are they the children of Caspar Crouch and Charis Black?
Susanna is Bartemius' sister, Victoria is his wife (and the mother of Barty Crouch Jnr.) ✨
While making the fancasts, I had to make up some characters and give them names to fill in the blanks on the family trees (they're more often than not nameless or referred to exclusively as "Mrs Insert-Surname-Here"). I tried to remove as much incest as I could from the Pureblood families, because although I know it 100% happened (looking at you, Walburga and Orion) I don't like to think about it so I made one massive diagram and came up with a bunch of first names, some in reference to already mentioned canonical characters (Susanna Bones → Susan Bones, Evangeline Rosier → Evan Rosier)
Susanna Crouch, sister of Bartemius, married into the Bones family through Ivan Bones. She bore him three children: Edgar, Amelia, and Brennon. Brennon would go on to father Susan Bones, while Edgar would be slaughtered at the hand of his cousin, Barty Crouch Jnr. This is my own personal headcanon for my fic, A Funeral March In Eight, and is not a part of the JK Rowling Harry Potter universe.
My fancasts were made mainly for my fics, while also trying to keep as accurate to the source material as possible.
Née is in reference to a woman's maiden name
Né to a man's

REGINA ROWLE is TWENTY-SIX YEARS OLD and an UNSPEAKABLE in THE HALL OF PROPHECY at THE MINISTRY OF MAGIC. She looks remarkably like LOGAN BROWNING and considers herself aligned with THE DEATH EATERS. She is currently OPEN.
→ OVERVIEW:
Intelligent and curious, Regina Rowle needed to know everything about anything. Born to British Pure-Blood socialite DEMEAS ROWLE and Witch  ATIYA ROWLE Regina and her younger sister ROWENA were brought up in a loving household just outside the city of Cambridge. Their mother, an exceptional witch moved from the North West of Africa after her school years at Uagadou in order to attend one of the most prestigious universities out there, Cambridge university, it was here that she had met Demeas and they fell madly in love. The pair had a whirlwind romance and married quickly, much to the dismay of Demeas’ family, Atiya’s dreams of becoming a writer put on hold for another dream of hers, motherhood. Regina and Rowena were raised in a clash of cultures, neither parent wanting them to miss out on their European or African magical heritage. Their father would tell them stories of Hogwarts, Regina’s eyes lighting up whenever he did so, excited to get up to the same mischief that her father had. Rowena on the other hand delighted in the stories their mother told about her childhood in Africa. Despite the differences between the two sisters and the three years that separated them the sisters were inseparable, wherever Regina went Rowena would follow, not because Regina was bossy or Rowena weak willed, but more because they couldn't stand to be apart.
Being part of Pure-Blood wizarding society meant attending certain events and parties, Rowena found them rather boring and immediately wanted to leave whereas Regina enjoyed them for one reason and one reason only. Their cousins, THORFINN and CAMILLE ROWLE would always attend the same events, and although they were never introduced to one another due to a row their fathers had many years ago that only worsened with time Regina was very intrigued by her cousin Camille. The girl was a puzzle that Regina wanted to solve, she made no effort to hide her hatred for her brother and Regina’s ever present curiosity got the better of her. When the sisters were not attending parties their mother was teaching them magic, getting around the underaged magic law by using traditional African spells and methods instead of the European way of using a wand. Regina listened intently to her mother but got nowhere with the spells, she practiced in her room almost every night but quickly lost interest due to her lack of ability, hoping desperately that she would improve, secretly scared that she was a squib. Her sister thrived with her mother's guidance and there was no doubt that she had magic flowing through her veins, the family all waiting with bated breath for Regina to show some magical abilities, they finally got their wish when she picked up her mother's wand one day and accidentally turned the cat pink.
Along with her Hogwarts letter, Regina received the news that her mother had been commissioned for a book and would be leaving for Africa the day after she boarded the train. Knowing that Rowena wanted so dearly to immerse herself in her African heritage her mother decided to bring her along, the pair living there until it was Rowena’s turn to leave for Hogwarts. Excited by the opportunity to immerse herself in to another life and to finally step out alone she took everything in her stride, made friends with the right girls, stayed away from the wrong boys, and most of all, introduced herself to her estranged cousin Camille who had already made a lasting impression on the cohort of Hogwarts despite only being in second year. She rode on the coattails of her cousin's reputation, asking Camille for help whenever she needed it. Camille was happy to do so as she wanted to leave the perfect legacy of the Rowle name behind when she left the school a year before Regina would. Camille pointed her in the direction of BRIDGETTE DE MONTMORENCY, EVORA TRAVERS and LUCINDA TALKALOT, a group of girls that held the same priorities as she did and Regina fitted in perfectly. The group would often be found pretending to study in the library whilst actually talking about anything else, quickly getting thrown out by the librarian they would laugh all the way to an unused classroom on the fifth floor that the girls had claimed as their own. When it came to actual work Regina was happy to find out that with a wand her magic worked excellently, she shone in Charms and Transfiguration and also had a special knack for Divination, a trait her mother said came from her.
Three years into her school career her sister Rowena joined Hufflepuff and Regina got a shock when the young, naive sister that she remembered was not the girl to arrive at Hogwarts. She had changed, grown up and Regina no longer knew where she stood, she wanted terribly to be close to her again, but she also wanted to give Rowena the space that she needed to grow into her own person, the space that she herself that was given by having three years without her sister. In her final years of Hogwarts Regina and her friends grew close to WALDEN MCNAIR and WILLIAM GOYLE, a pair of Slytherin boys that brought out the more mischievous side to the group of girls. Becoming increasingly closer to Walden, the pair fell into a relationship, partly because it was what Regina thought she should do and partly to stop the expectant glances sent her way by her friends whenever she was close to him. They became exceptionally close but Regina felt the relationship was off, something was missing and never one to shy away from an awkward conversation she brought it up several months into their relationship much to Walden’s relief. They talked on the astronomy tower for hours on end, well past curfew and came to the conclusion that actually they much preferred the company of their own genders when it came to romance. Ending on good terms they became best friends and laugh about the event now.
Leaving Hogwarts behind Regina felt free to explore her feelings fully and it could be said that she left a string of witches in her wake, always living in the moment she got as much enjoyment she could out of someone and happily moved on to the next when she was through. Working for the ministry as an Unspeakable in the hall of prophecies was a sure fire way to attract witches, the mystery that surrounded her job did her well when it came to her love life. ALEXANDRA ROSIER was a witch that fell prey to her charms, they met through her cousin Camille during one of her many visits to the magazine to gossip with her, she got introduced to Alexandra and the pair hit it off. Both on the same page the witches had an agreement of sorts, no strings attached, just fun. Working at the ministry has also brought out her childhood curiosity, except now she finds gossip about her colleagues most intriguing, she thrives in knowing about everyone's business, infact, Regina gossips so much about others that it is almost ironic that her job title is ‘unspeakable’. Her curiosity has gotten the best of her on a few occasions and has in fact made her most unliked by one RITA SKEETER who is severely annoyed over the fact that Regina can spread gossip much quicker than she can publish it.
Living with Walden in a large loft apartment in Camden town meant you could either find the pair in the bars and clubs below, drinking far too much and seeing where the night would take them or you would find them moping about the morning after strewn across their living room. The pair dont have a secret between them and it is well known amongst the two that they have a problem when it comes to their love lives, they would spend hours complaining about the unfairness of it all and would have to go on another night out to make themselves feel better. It's not that Regina didn't enjoy the single life, it was more that she was worried she would never find the person who would make her want to give it up. Her fears however dwindled slightly when after drinking far too much she tripped and fell over her far too high heels and broke her ankle, Walden, the ever perfect best friends apparated her to St Mungo’s where MARIANNE MACMILLIAN was the mediwitch who mended her leg. Regina found herself entranced by the delicate way the witch healed her, her softness overwhelming her. She found herself afterwards coming up with excuses to visit the hospital, she would pop in to visit a friend who was never there, or grab some fliers about dragon pox from the reception even though she had already had them. She did all this with the hopes of catching a glance of the witch that seemed to occupy her mind far too much lately. Not yet ready to give up on being single though Regina vowed to continue as she was and if she happened upon Marianne naturally then it was meant to be.

House of Rosier and All of It’s Glorious Flaws
Before you read this, you should read Lover Boy (the whole series). You don't have to, it can be a stand-alone story, but I think it makes it so much better to see the dynamics of those people.
The story is told from Thomas' P.O.V.
***
"Mr Park, Mr Isaacs, Mr Agnes. This is the 3rd time you 3 have been late to my class," McGonagall seethed, her stony glare fixed on the three boys (us) who looked nowhere near guilty enough for their tardiness. "Detention with me tonight, half past 7." A girl sitting in the first row (one row in front of us) looked back from her (was that 6th year?) textbook disdainfully and rolled her hazel eyes. Who reads a textbook one year ahead in their free time? I was worried about my marks but reading one year ahead was just beyond me. Either she was way too smart or she was just a snob.
"Yes, Professor," Newt and I, the said Mr Isaacs and Mr Agnes (pleasure to meet you) mumbled. We were always the obedient ones and Minho (Mr Park) was the opposite.
"Sure, Prof," Minho snickered, sitting down with Newt at his table with a goblet on it. I mentally facepalmed. He'll definitely get in trouble for that.
McGonagall glared at the Minho. "Double detention, Mr Park." That's what I thought.
She turned her back to the boys and strolled up to the desk. "We will be practising how to do the Vanishing Spell. Take out your wands, please." I took a peek and noticed the girl had closed her textbook, sticking gold-foil bookmark in place. A name was written in perfect (of course...) calligraphy on the cover, though it was partially blocked by the tassel of the bookmark. Typical rich pureblood Slytherin, I thought, eying her Slytherin tie and necklace (family heirloom, perhaps? Whatever it was, it certainly looked expensive...)
There was a rustle as the students of Gryffindor and Slytherin opened their satchels and took out our wands. Such a shame we shared transfiguration with the Slytherins, too. Transfiguration was always my favourite class and McGonagall was a brilliant teacher and all, but the Slytherins made it unbearable. I could just hear their taunts of "Mudblood!" and "Filthy half breed!". Most of the Slytherins were pureblood maniacs, as Minho shamelessly said.
"Good. Now repeat after me – Evanesco. Do not point your wands and attempt this, yet. Make sure you articulate every syllable." All of us repeated the word. Everyone kept their arms at their sides, though I saw some people's (namely Minho) hands twitched as if they wanted nothing more than to jab their wand and get the spell over with.
"The movement to accompany this would be a sharp jab towards the object. Everyone try that, please. Without the word." We all did so again, and this time.
"Now you may try the spell."
The classroom exploded in sounds of Evanesco's! I tried it once and nothing happened (according to Newt, at least), although, in my opinion, it became a bit more transparent, so that's something. Somehow, the girl sitting in front of me managed to get it on her first try and Professor McGonagall beamed at her proudly. I wasn't sure what her reaction was because she had her back to me.
Newt followed my eyes to the girl. "Who's that?"
"Some rich Slytherin pureblood," I muttered, glaring at her back.
"What's got you so sour?" Minho questioned, waving a hand in front of my face.
"Tommy's obsessed with some Slytherin girl sitting in front of us," Newt told him, even though I slapped my hand over his mouth.
"Who is–––" Minho started to ask but he didn't get very far with it before McGonagall interrupted him.
"Mr Agnes, Mr Park, Mr Isaacs, that doesn't look like you practising the spell to me. Unless you want to receive another detention–––"
"No thank you, Professor!" Newt interrupted quickly, jabbing his wand furiously in the direction of his goblet. Before I turned away, I thought I caught a small flicker of a smile on the corner of McGonagall's lips.
We headed to detention at twenty past 7 (we were actually on time, Minho!) To my dismay, the girl from the transfiguration class was there, also. She spared us a glance but turned her head away disinterestedly as if we weren't worth her time or attention. I seethed silently and directed my glare elsewhere.
"For detention today, you'll be organising the supplies for the next lesson," McGonagall said, eyeing the goblets and animal cages warily. "That will consist of cleaning the animal cages and stacking the goblets in the shelf over there," she said, gesturing loosely to the said shelf. "No magic allowed. I won't be supervising you but I'll know if you use magic." And with that, McGonagall took her leave.
I don't think she'd actually be able to know if we used magic or not, but who knows? I'm not willing to test her bluff.
"She's not going to actually know, is she?" Minho questioned, raising his wand.
The Slytherin girl tapped it away. "I'd rather not receive another detention. Don't let's use our wands...we can get it over with, now."
I sent her a fierce glare. "Stop telling us what to do!"
"Why do you hate me so much?" The girl deflected, stacking the goblets. "Have I done something to you?"
"You and your fellow Slytherins...rich and fancy purebloods..." My anger was starting to boil over. I channelled that into stacking goblets faster than she was, which wasn't that big of a challenge considering how slowly she was doing it.
"What's your name?" She asked.
"Why should I tell you?" I demanded. Perhaps this was unreasonable, but at the time, I was furious.
"I can't call you 'Mr Agnes', can I?"
"Thomas," I muttered, shaking my head.
"Oh," she commented flatly. I was waiting for the 'Mudblood!' comment but none came. Instead..."You're Teresa's brother."
"Yeah. You know her?" I thought my attitude towards this girl was starting to deflate, as much as I hated to mention it. "Also, what's your name?"
"Cyrah Evangeline Rosier, at your service," the girl ––– Cyrah Evangeline Rosier said, with a mock curtsey.
"Making the service of a Mudblood?" I questioned. She's a Rosier; throwing this kind of stuff around was dangerous for her.
"Why not? We're both in detention, anyway." I noticed she sped up on the goblet stacking. "I think we're done with these."
"Ya know," Minho drawled. "It's unfair that you two are stacking goblets whereas we're cleaning iguana poop. What did you do to get here anyway, Cyrah?"
"I hexed Malfoy," Cyrah answered simply.
"Malfoy...as in –––"
"How many Malfoy's do you know, Tommy?" Cyrah cut in, rolling her eyes.
"Hey!" Newt complained. "Only I call him Tommy." Now it was my turn to roll my eyes.
"Awfully possessive, aren't you?"
"All that aside – why did you hex Malfoy?" Minho asked. He was smiling widely, on the edge of grinning. I could understand why. Lucius Malfoy was one of the most egocentric people on the planet. It was also satisfying to hear that a fellow pureblood and "proper" student had hexed him.
"I made sure he knew what would happen if he hurt Cissy. He stared at Emma for too long and Cissy was upset about it. So...ya know..." She made a twirling motion with her wand. Who's "Cissy"? Probably Lucius' girlfriend, I reckon.
"I'm pretty sure Cissy could have come to her own defence, though," Minho commented. "She's in the 7th year."
Cyrah nodded her head shallowly. "Yes, but she was too upset to do anything about it, so..."
"Who's 'Cissy'?" I asked, unable to contain my curiosity. Newt gave me a 'don't pry' glance, but I could read him well enough to see that he was grateful, too. I'm sure he wanted to know who 'Cissy' was, also.
"Narcissa Black. My cousin."
"Wait..." Newt muttered, connecting dots, definitely. He had that look when he was trying to pay attention in History. "You're related to Bellatrix Lestrange?"
Cyrah stared at him warily. "Yes."
We were silent during the processing of this information. "How's Aunt Esteeli?" Cyrah asked suddenly. I had no clue what she was talking about.
Apparently, Minho did. "She's doing quite well." Unlike Cyrah, Minho was generous enough to spare us an explanation. "'Aunt Esteeli' is my mum."
"You two...are related???" Newt demanded, his face stretched into a "what the shuck?" expression. I was sure my face was the same.
"Yeah, we're cousins."
We processed this information again. "Ummm, how come Minho's not a...no offence...pureblood maniac?" Newt asked uncomfortably.
"Hey!" Cyrah protested. "I'm not a 'pureblood maniac'! That's Bella," she added on second thought.
"My side of the family are 'blood-traitors', see," Minho explained. "Technically, my mum was disowned after her 16th birthday. From the Néturn family."
"We–––"
"Ah, I see you've cleaned everything up," McGonagall said, coming in at the worst moment possible. "You may go, then."
"Bye," Cyrah said with a small smile and left.

Had Leta Lived - A Theseus x Leta Marriage Headcanon Dump
Tumblr media
Here is a loving couple if there ever was one
They are so supportive of each other’s trauma
And they take care of each other
Theseus is always so careful to reinforce Leta’s self esteem
And Leta helps ease Theseus’ hypervigilance
They soothe each other so much
Theseus always looks at Leta like she is the only woman in the room
And Leta secretly really loves that
Theseus ‘War hero’ Scamander does not treat her like she is a paria and that means so much to her
They marry in June
It is a beautiful sunny day
Newt is Theseus’ groomsman and Tina has agreed to be Leta’s bridesmaid
The bride and groom absolutely radiate
But it is quite obvious she is pregnant
Some aunts whisper about that
But Theseus does not give a fuck, so Leta gains confidence from that
They go on a short Honeymoon to Ireland
And then go back to work
They are both very hard workers
But they always make time for each other
Be it having lunch together
Or making sure they get home to each other at a reasonable hour
They are quite PDA-y, but know how to keep it on the DL at work
Theseus is over the moon when his daughter arrives
Her name is Evangeline and she is the apple of Thes’ eye
He takes paternity leave
Leta stays home a full year
Once she comes back to work, she is made PA to Spender Moon
And he allows her to take Evy to work
Theseus is a very proud papa
And the most loving hubby
He is surprisingly good at chore oriented magic, so he usually does the house keeping so Leta can mind the kids
They have a son as well, named Charles
They have a wonderful cosy home where people like to come for visits
Just such a loving couple
Theseus dotes on his wife and kids
Leta dotes on her hubby and kids
They are goals okay!!

another love letter to eve
I think one of the reasons I love Evangeline Samos so much is that before her, I had no idea what I was missing out on in terms of media representation.
Before Red Queen, the only book I can think of with a prominent female East Asian character is Harry Potter’s Cho Chang. While Cho is a decent character, she was only there as a romantic interest for Harry. And, ya know, she was written by JK Rowling, who includes PoC and LGBT characters for token representation.
By the time I read War Storm in 2018, I was questioning my own sexuality as well. I can’t describe how seen I felt when I read about Evangeline Samos. It’s not that I can’t relate to white characters and male characters and straight characters—I can, obviously—but having a character with the same background as me struck so deep.
Evangeline is her own person. She’s badass, and fierce, and headstrong, and stubborn, and she fought through hell and won. Reading about her is like realizing what is possible for myself for the first time. Like realizing people like me, SPECIFICALLY like me, can have a happy ending.
I had never had that before. Not in a book, movie, or TV show.
People that look like me and love like me can win and be happy. I exist. I am seen. That’s what I felt when I read King’s Cage and War Storm. That’s why representation is so fucking important.
And for that, I will forever and always adore Evangeline Samos, Red Queen, and Victoria Aveyard.

You know what's annoying? People keep whitewashing red queen! Whenever they make a fan cast about a possible red queen movie they whitewash the characters and Victoria doesn't even care! I certainly would care if people whitewashed characters in a book I wrote. It's like they didn't even pay attention to the book and why didn't Victoria mention Mare was brown skinned the first book? This makes me concerned for a red queen movie. If you had to choose, which actors would you want pick for a movie.
I myself am among those who weren't aware of the fact that the Samos siblings were partly asian and I understand that sometimes while doing edits it's difficult to find actors or models of the right ethnicity that can adapt to the aesthetics we seek but for the fancasts, although it's very difficult to find suitably young actors who adapt to the role as we would like, as in Cal's case, to whom I still cannot find a face that satisfies me 100%, I understand the annoyance. Another concern that I have but few keep in mind is that if we get a Red Queen movie we could end up with much older actors, as often happens with YA, which would make the movie a caricature of what could've actually be, as happened with Shadowhunters (tv show and movie on par, in my opinion), Divergent and many others. I think Victoria doesn't particularly care about it because she doesn't want to generate useless drama around a saga that hasn't become hateful even for those who haven't read it as happened with Sarah J. Maas and Cassandra Clare's books and I also appreciate that she didn't said, after the release of the last book, things about ethnicity and sexual orientation of the characters and claimed it as canon, as happened with JK Rowling, and leaves a lot to the readers imagination, but she probably does it because, as a former fanfiction author, she understands people need some room to create. Regarding the fact that she never specified in the first book that Mare isn't white, I think it's simply a trait that she began to imagine later, something that, with the advancing the story, has become so important in her mind that she had to put it on paper.
My personal fancast always changes, but for now I have:
Zendaya Coleman as Mare Barrow
Tumblr media
I know I previously said I wanted for Red Queen to cast someone not that famous but let's face it, she's still young, she's talented and she's the only one who fits Mare's aesthetic perfectly. Furthermore, I considered that it's probably good that at least the main actors are pros who can deal with fame and critics in the same way.
Froy Gutierrez as Maven Calore
Tumblr media
If you don't know him he's a Texan actor, model and musician born in 1998 known mostly for playing Nolan in Teen Wolf and if you give him black hair he's the perfect Maven.
Hunter Schafer as Diana Farley
Tumblr media
I know she's from Euphoria too but she's just too good to not be casted and what screams give trans girls female roles that doesn't involve being trans more than this?
Nathan Bouts as Shade Barrow
Tumblr media
Again if you don't know him I'll give you a brief overview: he's a 23 y/o Dutch actor and that I know he only starred in WTFock, a remake of Skam, but I find him very expressive so I think it's perfect for Shade.
Younés Kahlaoui as Tramy Barrow
Tumblr media
Do I really need to explain?
Daniel Hasselbaink as Bree Barrow
Tumblr media
I know he's young, he was born in 1998, and Bree is a little older than the rest of the characters but they all seem siblings and he looks like he's older so I think it's fine.
Halle Bailey as Gisa Barrow
Tumblr media
You can't understand how I love her with red/reddish hair.
Grace Cheng as Evangeline Samos
Tumblr media
24-year-old Taiwanese/Chinese model born and raised in LA's suburbs she has appeared in numerous fashion campaigns and walked for Bottega Veneta, Moschino and Marc Jacobs, so I think she can do something like Cara Delevingne, Sasha Luss and Suki Waterhouse did and start an acting career.
Abigail Cowen as Elane Haven
Tumblr media
American actress born in 1998 she starred as Dorcas in The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and she will be Bloom in the upcoming Winx live-action.
Skai Jackson as Cameron Cole
Tumblr media
Class 2002, she's an American actress, YouTuber and author. She made her debut in the 2007 movie Liberty Kid but she came to international prominence when she portrayed Zuri Ross in the Disney Channel show Jessie. In 2019 she released her debut novel, Reach for the Skai: How to Inspire, Empower, and Clapback.
