cotton candy: she was a fox who was lizzy's ex-girlfriend and she was CRAAAAAZYYYYY and liked to kill people. i think she was a princess too. also heterochromic...smh what's wrong with a man and a woman marrying... /joking

shigo: another old fursona! he was just a wolf with cool dyed hair, didn't really have any lore apart from being Me. i originally made him for an old youtube intro where his name was rika and then i picked him back up when i first came out as trans and renamed him to shigo! i love him

miriam: i originally made miriam for a series of horror games! she was the result of a father experimenting on his own daughter and killing her and so she turned into an evil dog demon that haunted an old video game and would break through the screen and kill people. moral of the story: human experimentation is bad and also don't abuse ur kids

1) Sensory overload: the CHARACTER (he frequently suffers eating Earth food and gets overwhelmed by basic things on earth, it feels quite analogous for neurodivergent folk) 2) Unusual speaking patterns, even for an irken. We meet other irkens in the show and none of them speak like Zim or struggle socializing in quite the way he does. 3) Hyperfixated on his mission. 4) Low empathy and struggles understanding some social cues. 5) His whole deal -- being an alien on Earth pretending to be human -- can easily be read as a masking metaphor. 6) Struggles controlling his emotions. 7) Connects more readily to objects and robots than he does to others. 8) evil laugh??? MORE LIKE STIMMING!!!!!!!

General:

Tell me Screamer doesn’t give lee-leaning switch vibes

That dramatic diva would love getting destroyed, though he isn’t above occasionally “disciplining” his guard. 

He can and will deny the existence of tickling altogether if you try to squeeze either confession out of him. Good luck, soldier (-_-)ゝ

Lee:

These moods are harder to spot than a single bolt in a collapsing energon tunnel. He’s the distinguished leader of the High Guard, after all; it’s beneath him to crave such childish things.

However…

Sometimes, the cravings are just too persistent, too annoying to ignore; he’d be at a disadvantage in battles if he let the need fester. Or, at least, that’s what he tells himself.

After he finishes his little crisis, he’ll try to provoke one of the ‘Waves into tickling him. They’ve proven to be loyal enough, and they haven’t tried to kill him yet—checks all the boxes.

It’s not an exact science, though; bots don’t usually think of tickling their bosses, much less homicidal ones who rule through fearful respect. It works about 35% of the time, usually with Soundwave picking up on it and deciding to be a decent bot.

I’d say he’s pretty ticklish; he’s just gotten good at hiding it and suffering quietly. You have to force a genuine reaction out of him, but he’ll look like a kicked puppy if you stop before then; then he’ll scream and send you out on a full day’s scouting shift.

Worst spot would be his waist, specifically his hips. That snatched waist will be his downfall; it’s just too grabbable. Immediate target for anyone tickling him, and it kills him every time.

Melt spots are his big wings and upper chassis, specifically his pectorals. Get him on either of those spots, and he’ll become a big kitten.

His laugh is very pitchy; he sounds like a teen smack-dab in the middle of the voice-crack phase. Giggled threats, squeaks, squeals, and nasally laughter. If you go for a bad spot, he’s true to his nickname: Screamer.

SUCH a cuddle-bug after being wrecked. If you comment on it, he might bite you, but he loves to just be held for a bit before going back to being the fearsome leader of the High Guard.

Ler:

GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN, SAVE YOURSELF—

He’s a VERY evil ler: flustering teases, death spot attacks, smug comments, no escaping whatsoever.

You really can’t run from him. He’s a jet, and he’s been training for years to push himself to tip-top speeds. Good luck dude.

He can and will torment you with the same teases that overheat him; man CANNOT take what he dishes out, but “consequences are for cowards.” (He always regrets saying that.)

“What’s wrong, runt? Does this tickle? How unfortunate for you.”

“Ah, yes, insanity and helplessness; music to my audio receptors. Which spot made you scream again?”

“I’m barely touching you. How do you expect to rise in the ranks if you can’t even handle a little scribbling?”

Not the worst at aftercare, but you’re gonna have to spell some things out for him. You’ll get an energon cube, whether your body is made to ingest them or not. He’ll stay with you until you recover, but after that, you’d best keep your mouth shut about the whole ordeal.

General:

Okay quiet boy here is a solid ler. 

Aside from the fact that he doesn’t like to laugh or speak much, he simply prefers to tickle others. If he can keep some of the other guard members happy, he’s accomplished something.

(I wish he had his recordicons in the movie; I have so many ideas 😞)

Ler:

He gets ler moods every so often, though he usually tickles bots to cheer them up or fix their moods.

Someone is sad about a guard member who got injured? Gentle tickles to make them smile.

Starscream is being more of an arrogant showboat than normal? Yeah, waist tickles to take him down a peg.

Shockwave has been cooped up in his lab for Primus-knows-how-long? Yeah, tickles to force him to intake some energon and recharge.

Now, Soundwave is VERY respectful of people’s wishes. If they want him to frag off, he’ll leave them be. If they tap out, he immediately stops. 

On the flip side, if you don’t stop him, he WILL wreck you into oblivion. It all depends on what you want

I feel like he’d use short, teasy observations to make his lees blush. Just something to fluster them and get them squeaking.

“Ticklish one: adorable.”

“Commencing stomach analysis… Results: conclusive. Very ticklish.”

“Laughter: changes pitch frequently. Claw tickles exemplify this quite nicely.”

“Hmm… Tickle. Ticklish. Tickl— Ah, my observation is correct: the word makes things tickle more.”

Absolutely ZERO issues with saying the t-word. If you can’t handle hearing it… well, it was nice knowing you.

So…we know how he can blast out sound waves, right? I’d bet if he did that on a MUCH lower setting, it’d tickle like crazy. 

All the effects of a massager, in as wide of a range as he feels like pushing out. Could be your entire body, one spot, multiple different ones…

The possibilities are endless, my friends.

Amazing with aftercare. He’ll give you hugs and headpats, bring you energon or food (depending on which you need), and tell you how well you did. Lots of love from the quiet one 💙

This brat feels like a 50/50 switch to me. 

Like, he gives me SUCH lee vibes, but you can’t deny that he’d wreck a bot when the opportunity presents itself.

Lee:

He absolutely refuses to admit that he’s ticklish. Does he want to be wrecked? Absolutely. Would just a few simple pokes make his entire orbital cycle? No doubt about it, yeah. So, how does he respond when asked if he’s ticklish?

“Uh, no. Only weak scrap-bots are ticklish. Now, get back to work before I introduce you to Primus!”

Ya know, like a smart bot.

Only Soundwave and Starscream have the lugnuts to try him after he says that. The moment the tickling actually begins, his fight seems to just evaporate into thin air.

I feel like his little eye-light flickers when he’s getting wrecked to pieces. Sort of like a smile for him ✨

His laugh is really boyish and joyful when you really get him. Just imagine a six-year-old laughing his aft off.

Shockwave generally isn’t that ticklish; only certain spots get him screaming. You either have to know exactly where you need to strike, have him restrained, or be quick enough to find one before he kills you. Speaking of which…

Worst spots are his blaster hand and side plating. All it takes are some light scribbles on either spot to make him flail and lose his processor functions.

Melt spot would have to be his finials. You can’t tell me those big ol’ things wouldn’t be ticklish. He’d lean right into it and close his optics, mumbling something about “needing to recharge, no other reason…”

Ler:

SUCH a smug aft-hole of a ler. 

He’s such a brat in the movie; you can’t tell me he wouldn’t carry that over to wrecking his fellow guard members.

Shockwave doesn’t really need a reason to wreck someone; he won’t even attempt an excuse. He’s just gone up to random guard members he was close with and attacked.

Not to say he’s disrespectful. If you seriously don’t want him to tickle you, he’ll begrudgingly back off. He’ll whine, of course, but he won’t push.

When he does attack, he’s a rapid-fire kinda bot. Get every spot he can think of, see which makes you laugh loudest, and THEN focus in.

Plus, all the teases he knows will get to you. He’s a bit of a jerk about it, but lucky for you, it’s easy to get revenge.

“I had no idea you were this weak. How have you survived this long?”

“You’re laughing so loudly. Think I’m gonna need to get my audio receptors checked after this.”

“Imagine if our enemies found out about this. You’d be down in seconds!”

“It tickles? No scrap. That’s the whole point of tickling you.”

Despite all his smug talk and bravado, he’s pretty good at aftercare.

Big ol’ hugs, cuddles if you’re up for it, energon or water and snacks, and maybe even some science rambling if you just want some white noise. He’s a softie afterwards, though only when it’s just you two.

hey julian! i don't know if you've discussed this before, but what are your thoughts about eggman having autism? i feel like some signs could be his lack of empathy, his hyperfixations on world domination and robotics, and maybe vocal stimming by evil laugh idk.

I love it! I know some dislike it because of the genius stereotype and because he's a villain but it makes me happy. Not like it's being declared officially to influence millions of people's perception of autistic people, it's just a fun idea. In fact I like how you can draw similarities to both negative and positive aspects of being autistic, so it's not just the common idealized romanticized fictional take on it

As someone with low empathy, I think part of it being because he's autistic too is awesome, besides also being due to his narcissism. Both are better than the other ways people might imagine, such as due to trauma, which wouldn't fit him. Same goes for his short temper and anger issues because I can relate too lol, but again also being due to his narcissism and hating when things don't go his way. I could see there being an overlap in all his main traits

I can see his passion for science/robotics and theme parks also being his special interest/s. He wants to know absolutely everything due to his immense fixation and passion as they've brought him great joy and excitement from childhood, his genius made it easy to retain and fully utilize all the information and now he loves to involve them in his plans of world domination and ruling the world. He'd be happy to infodump for hours and it also lends to his ego in getting to show off all his knowledge, experience, and skill in the subjects

I love the thought of him rambling about his special interests for hours and I'd be more than eager to listen because I have interest in them too and he's my special interest, so I'm especially attentive and appreciative when it's from him. He enjoys how he gets genuine interest and shared passion and someone who is truly engaged, especially for the attention and ego boost. And I love him so much and I'm delighted to see his passion and enthusiasm. We'd be perfect together hehe 🥰

His main stim can be stroking his mustache! He has done it to flaunt and show off how magnificent it is as he should, while he's in thought, and even just ends up doing it casually and possibly mindlessly while idling in games, so it fits perfectly 💜

But yeah his more excited/happy stimming could be a vocal one with his evil laughter too, maybe specifcally his iconic hoho type one of all the variations!

So yeah pretty much every single example is what is also attributed to his naricissism too but I could see autism playing a part in it too and love the idea lol

And if it somehow leads anyone to believe all narcissists are autistic or that all autistic people are narcissists and take offense, that's certainly not true and it shouldn't be up to me to educate. I like it as an autistic person who can draw some similarities and like the idea of evil characters being autistic just as much as good and reflecting both the positive and negative and I'm sure others do too lol

sometimes has a habit of smoking, he’s trying to quit but often sneaks a cigarette or two in.

he STILL loves Sweetie Creame even though he knows damn fucking well that she was evil.

almost always has to look after both Alfe and Roba (mostly Roba) when they’re left alone together.

he and Roba spent their first 6 years at an abusive orphanage (technically 5 years since their parents were killed when Horace and Roba were only 1.)

He found Alfe in a sewer when he was 11 and Alfe was a months old.

He is very athletic and plays soccer on the weekends when there aren’t any problems to solve.

Temporarily had a fear of the forest (ever since he was 4 he was purposefully left alone in the forest by the orphanage headmaster as a punishment for absolutely no reason other than to traumatize him for fun. Yea Horace and Roba had the worst childhood.) He got over his fear thanks to Tux Dog.

Horace HATES coffee (he instead settles for tea or sugar free energy drinks)

- During childhood Horace would often sing to Roba at night so they could both fall asleep.

Horace NEVER lets him eat sweets (especially chocolate and fudge) after 8 PM. Trust me, you do not want to encounter Roba when he’s high on sugar (you’d immediately be dead if you were even MADE of sugar.)

he’s kinda a femboy, and when he’s not wearing his usual robot outfit, he likes wearing crop tops or oversized hoodies, sometimes even wearing a dress if you’re lucky

He has a part-time job working as a Femboy Mooters (parody to Hooters) waiter, and that’s how the Solverz are able to pay the bills.

He is chubby because of all the empty insults Tux Dog throws at him, and because the trio order pizza A LOT BECAUSE OF A CERTAIN BROWN SOMEONE!!! Roba also stress eats a lot in private so there’s also that, and he can eat more than Alfe can (he REFUSES to admit that)

Roba still acts very feminine despite transitioning into a man, and he likes buying and doing luxurious stuff because it feels nice and he thinks it’ll make Tux Dog like him more (also Roba smells like lavender and vanilla 24/7, and Tux Dog hates lavender smell.)

Underneath his helmet is longish blond hair, overgrown haircut, it’s usually greasy because Roba rarely takes off his helmet.

Alfe (Problem Solverz Fur Monster)

Age: 8 (18 in fur monster years)

Gender: Male

Pronouns: he/him

Sexuality: pansexual

Family: unnamed fur monster parents (deceased), a whole bunch of unnamed brothers and sisters (unknown whereabouts), Horace and Roba (technical owners)

- Alfe is overweight 

- Alfe secretly throws fur monster parties when Horace and Roba are not in the house

- While he can eat ALMOST anything, Alfe is allergic to seafood (especially shellfish.) He’s also allergic to cats (or at least only Badcat.)

- Chocolate is also poisonous to him but they’re like apple seeds, he needs to eat a whole bunch of chocolate to get sick.

- in my artstyle I usually draw him like a wolf simply because I’m a furry (but I can draw him in his canon design)

- he is closer to Horace than Roba

- Alfe is pansexual but he is more attracted to girls (same with Horace but Horace is bi)

- Alfe wants to smoke weed and do crack but Horace always says no, so Alfe has to sneak it in when Horace isn’t around.

- Although Alfe takes a shower in the toilet, Alfe doesn’t always smell like shit because he’s forced to wear one of those car scent pine tree things around his neck.

- Alfe deeply loves both Horace and Roba, so he gets lonely when they’re not around (that’s why he throws parties.) he’s afraid of being abandoned.

Disabled4Disabled ships spotlight for Disability Pride Month: Princess Entrapta of Dryl and Lord Hordak (She-Ra and the Princesses of Power)

The first time I not just saw someone like me, a bisexual mentally ill autistic woman, but also a relationship like mine, was when I was 22 years old, in She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.

Entrapta and Hordak are both side characters, but their stories touched me the most.

Entrapta starts of as a recluse, building robots and weapons and other technology in her castle. She gets recruited by the good guys, but she never quite fits in with them, and they treat her fairly bad, being constantly annoyed at her autistic traits, infantilizing and dehumanizing her, best shown by one of them actually leashing her, which the series treats as an hilarious joke.

Other than that however, she is portrayed amazingly accurate. She is chaotic and sometimes focuses on things others might find strange in the situation, mostly technology, but she also is very competent in her field of expertise, and she is very empathic and caring – just not in the way the good guys expect her to.

She has peculiar habits about how she eats her food – all in tiny pieces – and she is even seen stimming multiple times, the classical hand flapping, but also turning rapidly in a chair, or using her prehensile hair.

Later she ends up defecting to the bad guys, who treat her slightly better, though still mostly use her for her skills. That ends when her brazenness and disregard for rules make her end up in the lab of the reclusive bad guys leader, Hordak. He tries to enforce his usual intimidation and power dynamic, but Entrapta is not having it, and in the end, he is impressed by her and her technological prowess, and they start working together.

Hordak seems like your typical generic evil overlord villain type, however, he starts to become fascinating as it is shown to be a facade to hide his insecurities and trauma.

Hordak has some form of muscular atrophy along with cardiovascular problems that make him prone to fainting. This made the leader of the interstellar cult he was created for cast him out, stranding him on the planet the show takes place, and now he desperately tries to prove he is capable enough to be worth something.

He built his own mobility aids in the form of a sci-fi power armor, which does not reflect the experience of real life people with muscular atrophy, but works well as a metaphor for how many disabled people have to hide their disabilities in order to find work or be respected. I really saw myself in that, however I must add that I am, while autistic and bipolar, able-bodied.

It could come across as the disability makes you evil trope, but I think it works because the narrative is firm in saying that what happened to both Hordak and Entrapta was unjust, and they are right to rage against the system that abused them like that – just their methods are too extreme.

The most touching part of their arcs is their surprisingly tender romance. First they bond over being mad scientists, then they bond over being disabled and outcasts for that and hating themselves, and finally even help each other to overcome that hate. I never saw this thing I experienced so often with my disabled too lovers portrayed anywhere, and I felt so seen by their romance.

(Another nice touch is how Entrapta is clearly the more dominant of the two, which is a wonderful gender role subversion).

Fate divides them, and they have to fight to get back together, but in the end, both of them survive and have time to heal.

There are definitely downsides to them as rep, both of them being villains, Entraptas abuse at the hands of the good guys being treated as funny rather than awful and her being blamed for it in the end, and the last, fairly bad season making it ambivalent if Hordak is still disabled at all and refusing to engage with this aspect of him any further, and then there is the in scarily large parts extremely ableist fandom and even ableist members of the crew. But they still mean so much to me.

okay so real quick thoughts about ducktales 2017 with huey, boyd, and autism. i actually think that the choice to show the ways that huey is othered from his peers for being too focused on rules, being "like a robot", infodumping etc is such a GOOD move for the comparison. because normally when a robot is autistic coded, that robot is autistic coded in a VACUUM. only the robot is autistic and they are Like That because they're a robot.

but by comparing boyd to huey, who is a duck but is the main sentient species of the show, we actually do less to dehumanize huey by making him "like a robot" and more to HUMANIZE boyd. because they have similarities that run deeply and they just... mesh, but the fact that others see boyd as Less Than or Evil is the fault of akira for using him and the other adults for refusing to see his humanity when it's presented to them, much like a teacher/therapist etc who has control over a kid and does their damnedest to elicit the worst of their behavior on purpose to prove they're a "bad kid".

like i dunno, seeing huey stim and infodump and have those things be the real humanity bits that he gets to bond with boyd over and showing that they're not "robot" characteristics but just their different wiring. *chefs kiss*

And yes, simple fan theory being removed has frustrated me, because it happens all the time with Jungkook too. That man is genuinely a walking poster board for stereotypical autistic traits, and while no one obviously knows if he has been diagnosed, it does not make any sense to act like talking about the possibility is the same has saying rude things about him.

And while I haven’t thought about Chan’s ticks and stims in the same context, I don’t see why it’s such pushed against topic. Personally, I think Chan’s are more likely a result of his PTSD as a trainee. I don’t know if he’s talked about this or has even been diagnosed with, but is obvious he has it in some form. Chan was (I can’t say is, because he no longer does Chan’s Room) incredibly self-deprecating about his own physicality, his worth, and his skill. We also know he suffered from su*c*dal ideation and had experience with friends who struggled with self-harm.

So seeing as it has been medically proven that mental stressors and scars can manifest into physical pain and ticks, my personal assumption would be his stims and ticks come from depression more so than autism or ADHD. However, that doesn’t mean I’d ever tell someone off for disagreeing with me. So why do people who prefer to think idols are perfect find the gall to do differently?

Idols being queer or disabled or neurodiverse has zero affect on our lives. Yes, some people may find representation from them and be happy, but as far as negativity goes… it does nothing. Their mental health, physical capabilities, and sexuality do not make their music any harder nor easier to listen to. Y’all just like being evil, and furthering the idea that idols don’t deserve to be seen as fully realized people.

Franky is autistic af

When I first started One Piece I thought no character could be more autistic coded than Zoro... that was until I got to water 7 and was introduced to Franky. I will list off all the autistic coding in him one by one, starting off with

Franky is a very emotional guy, but only people who are close to him knows this, because he rarely shows any emotion to strangers besides anger and determination. He literally masks like crazy and only shows his actual personality when hes comfortable enough to unmask, some of you may think Im reaching with this but then there is the fact that;

He literally gets introduced with a mask. A MASK. You first see him and think hes this badass and evil guy thats holding the whole town hostage, he talks in a very low tone and never makes it obvious what hes actually feeling, it goes like this until he sees his home and underlings beaten up and gets very very mad!! this ALSO brings me to;

He is incredibly apathetic towards people he doesnt know, but is very empathetic towards his friends, before he meets usopp in his new base and they talk about the merry together, he literally made his underlings beat the living crap out of him when he came to get his money back!! Sounds very rude, but we later on learn its for his dream of making a ship one last time so, HES EXCUSED.

After him and usopp talk about the merry and he hears usopps story, they get closer, and the second that happens he immediately shows his emotional side and starts crying for this random guy he met 2 days ago?! He does this for Robin as well after hearing her story about her sacrificing herself, HE NEVER EVEN MET ROBIN. It shows how much he cares about the people gets closer to, he knows Robin is important to usopp and sanji and even though he doesnt know Robin personally he sees shes important to his friends so he immediately shows his care and appreciation 4. Hes born with superhuman abilities, he can make a CANONBALL out of some random junk he found off the ground, he is shown to be incredibly smart with his main interest being tech stuff and ship building, he didnt even need any training to be able to make very powerful warships, HE WAS LITERALLY SO BORED HE SPENT HIS TIME BUILDING WARSHIPS LIKE HE WAS MAKING TOYS OR SOMETHING?? Autistic characters in media are often represented as these nonhuman beings that are very good at doing a specific thing, Franky fits this description perfectly

5. He has a vocal stim where he says SUUUUPEEEER before words or just says it by itself, its basically his trademark

6. This is like the most obvious one, but hes literally a robot. Hes a cyborg, he built his body himself after getting hit by a train, autistic people both in media and in real life are seen as these robots with no emotions and many autistic characters in media are often represented as robots/aliens/nonhuman as well

7. His bikini his his comfort clothing, he has been wearing it since he is a child and its pretty clear he got attached to is in some way or another considering we never see him take it out ever, there is also the scenes where he does robot things and his bikini literally COMES OFF LIKE ITS PART OF HIS BODY so it can be theorized he made it a part of his body LMAO

8. He dances as a type of stimming. Not even just dancing, sometimes he'd just be standing there and he starts moving his arms and body as if hes bored, which can also be a sign of ADHD but that type of stimming is common in autism as well 9. HE BITES PEOPLE WHEN HE CANT USE THE REST OF HIS BODY. HES A BITER. Nom THAT IS ALL FOLKS! Or at least all that I can think of at the moment, share your thoughts if u agree

Definitive Thoughts on the Kamen Rider series I've watched (part 2)

POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR KAMEN RIDER DOUBLE, FOURZE, AND WIZARD

Reminder that this is just my opinion and also all the numbers are arbitrary, don't take them seriously. Although the tier list rankings are official, you can find them on the tier list I made :3

Double

Basically? Yes. This series had me from the second the opening rolled. I fucking love Double and pretty much everything about it.

Plot/Concept: 9/10

oh yeah baby. fusion is always such a cool concept in media and the idea of a Kamen Rider made up of two guys is so fun. also it's gay as hell. gay people are really strong

Execution: 10/10

all the little cases they had to solve were super neat, not too complicated and they got a little bit predictable after a bit but still nice. the two episode arc structure was perfect, allowing the show to fully develop the ideas in an arc and set the groundwork for what comes next. I looooved it. only one instance of "should've watched the movie" at the very end, but it went over smooth anyway.

Characters: 10/10

I don't think there was a single character I really disliked. all the antagonists were really cool, I loved the Museum and later Foundation X. I love Shotaro and Philip's dynamic, and I really don't think there's anything more gay than what those two got going on. I liked Ryu alot as well. Not really a lot to say about this other than I do love them so much.

Suit/Character Design: 8/10

I think the monster designs are where this show thrives. Double's design was a bit bland at first, but after a while I heavily vibed with it especially in contrast to the monsters. each monster is so varied and different and all the suits seem so unique, it's so cool. outside of the suits, the character design is on POINT. Ryu falls into the same category as Makoto from Ghost where he looks like a car seat but he still makes it work.

Music: 10/10

Same as ghost. I love this soundtrack with all my heart. it had me hooked from the opening, which I did not expect. I love each of the vocal tracks with my entire soul, especially Nobody's Perfect and Leave All Behind. Accel had a very good musical theme all together.

Overall: 10/10, S Tier

Fourze

the power of autism strikes again

Plot/Concept: 7/10

I'll admit, I didn't know how to feel about the highschool setting at first, but I vibed with the space themes. the astral switches were cool but I don't think there needed to be that many oh my god.

Execution: 9/10

ITS SPACE TIME!!!

this show went so hard. I don't think there was a single time I was disinterested in what was going on. they managed to keep things going throughout the whole show, it never really felt like everything happened for a reason and there wasn't any filler. it also helped that I watched alot of the movie content as I went, so I understood all the smaller references to the movies as I went. also all the movies were so fucking cool. I should review the movies at some point.

it was also neat how they kept the upper classmen as real characters after they graduated school, it made the whole show a lot more real to me.

Characters: 8/10

I love the Autism Brigade. there is not a single person in the Kamen Rider Club who doesn't have the slightest touch of the 'tism. I loved meeting each member of the KRC and following Gentaro's quest to make friends with everyone in school. Miu's little "oops!" has made it into my vocal stims. Not much more I can say.

Character Designs: 9/10

that's all I really have. Fourze's design was so full of whimsy and meteor was full of really cool. also, I don't usually talk about the movies in these, but the Movie where they go to space and fight evil robots had the sauciest designs of all time.

once again, I was locked in from the Opening. I fucking love Switch On. additionally, both belt's little jingles went so hard, I found myself hitting the 3...2...1.... pretty much every time Fourze transformed. I also adored Meteor's theme. idk this sound design in general fucks

Wizard

John Sweetflips himself

Plot/Concept: 8/10

it seemed pretty cool to start out, very Persona 5 vibes which I liked.

Execution: 6/10

tbh I wasn't really digging the wizard vibes at first.

It just wasn't for me until Beast got introduced, after that things just got better and better. I've talked about it before but the ending arc was just so incredible, and honestly was probably my favorite finale to any of the Kamen Rider series this far.

Characters: 5/10

could've been better tbh. the main cast was relatively fine, outside of haruto being kinda boring to me as a character. Its the same reason I didn’t like Ace/Geats all that much, he’s kinda “the guy who shows up and fixes things” for the first like half of the show. I did like all the supporting characters, although i think they could’ve made Rinko a bit more of a threat. they set up in the first episode that silver bullets (from Haruto's gun) hurt phantoms, and haruto never thinks to like, make sure Rinko (who stays strapped 24/7 from what I could tell) had silver bullets on her, even to just deal with the ghouls? like come on

I also felt like they kinda gave up on the phantoms partway through the show. they went from being all cunning and stalking their prey in order to tell how to make them despair, which was thrilling and interesting to watch.... and then they just like, stop? they're all like "raah despair cause I'm going to kill you" like man no wonder Wizard keeps stopping you. Phoenix and Gremlin had the best development out of any of the phantoms, and their arcs were genuinely my favorite parts of the show and it made me like the characters alot more. then they tried to do the same thing with Medusa but then decide that this arc is not about Medusa and is just her being an asshole for two episodes

The Bugsters do what the Phantoms do but like better IMO

Character Designs: 8/10

Most of the monsters and Rider forms were sick. I wish they made unique Mage outfits for the three who came later though, that drip is kinda not the best imo. Thats all i have to say other than Koyomi and Sora/Gremlin have the best fits in the entire show and no one can compare

Music: 7/10

kinda banger, but repetitive. the themes are good, but some parts of them just drag on for too long and that's always the worst. Beast’s theme is amazing though i never got sick of that one

Overall: 8.5/10, A Tier

Overall some pretty banger series. I'm now working my way through the 2000s/Phase 1 Heisei era riders, so thoughts on them soon :)

Because there's no IWTV, I'm both purposely and accidentally going through AMCs other stuff and here's my takes so far (not spoiler free, Mayfair Witches, Orphan Black Echoes, The Terror)

Mayfair Witches:

Okay, enjoyable. The Talamasca is also meant to be in IWTV and I was a lil shocked at how many people don't know that but they're not as obvious yet in the IWTV series as they have initially been in Mayfair. Some wild Stockholm Syndrome with a demon or demon has Stockholm Syndrome with a human, idfk. 😂 Big feels for her mother, poor woman. Awful family, she probably shouldn't have gone looking for them tbh.

It's cool, but half of it is just her eyes and b00bz, AND I'M SORRY PLEASE TELL ME THAT IS NOT JUST ME? If anything, I was more interested in learning about the secret abilities of the people within the Talamasca than anything, but that's not strange, considering I'm usually into that kinda mystery.

Orphan Black Echoes:

3D printed people, alrighty. Don't leave the artists alone with a 3D printer anymore ig 🤣 interesting concept I keep being used, and it is definitely a side effect of humanities need for control. Which doesn't work particularly, of course. I feel so hard for all these women. The creator woman I don't really feel for, but I understand where she's coming from. She really didn't need to make 2 clones of her wife, though ngl. This is definitely interesting, I'd recommend. It's unfair how these clones are being treated, even in "the positive" ways, as people are either trying to control them, or hate them, or have them for selfish reasons. Billionaires going wild and evil, and deciding to create an entourage of clone children, I wouldn't put it past Elmo doing something like this if he could ngl.

I feel so bad for the kindest old man who has a bounty on his head (?!) who gets caught up in this that hosted the addiction group meetings and was just trying to help people but ends up getting shot.

Also, all that pink gloop is kinda nice for a stim until it's like.. is that's what is inside them!? Ew. As I recently watched Margaux, which has the same 3D printed human concept going on except they were full of the same gloop but white, which just looked like cream spurting out of them if they got a wound.

Not a fan of all these fake set rooms to manipulate the clones, noooo way. That "grandfather" was a right cvnt.

The Terror:

Honestly, what the f tbh, but this whole thing is kinda funny even though it's supposed to be serious drama. Random glimpses of a Chernobyl looking "polar bear." The depictions of the initial hallucinations made me kinda laugh. It's a relatively standard take on life living on board a ship was like then, with nods towards sickness, mental health, and spoiled rations, which Hollywood tends to miss. I fortunately learned a decent chunk with my accurate piracy history obsession. It's not a fun life, not back then. I'm only on episode 4, but it's always leaving me wondering what's next, and I had 2 dreams about it last night which confused me about what actually happened and for some reason I was Hickey dressed up as King Arthur in them so obviously, that part wasn't real. I like the fact there's queer people. It very much was a thing.

I'm sorry it was sad but burying Sir John's leg in a fancy stocking and shoe was like, "Go gurlll be buried in your best dress," but him getting wedged into the bucket as it looked like a glitching puppet/robot that kept flashing back to his face and he was human again IM SORRY. Both the captains are kinda messed up but kindhearted in their own ways. Francis just doesn't seem as in touch with his emotions as much as he is in touch with his alcohol adoration. And WHY DUD THE CHERNOBYL BEAR THROWN HIM DOWN A HOLE. I'm pretty sure it's a person that's some animal getting revenge for the poor man who was shot and thrown down the hole unceremoniously at that point.

Dog screaming on board like : "SOME SH!T GONNA GO DOWN!!!!" and just gives up tbh because humans are idiotic when it comes to doing dangerous things/take on Chernobyl "bears. " That's my name for it until I know what it it.

In the past, I've watched Breaking Bad, based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, a place I frequented often in my youth and is close to my heart. That was very entertaining. And then Killing Eve, which was acquired programming, and they're doing a spin-off of that. Very excited.
