Hello! I absolutely adore your art! I love how you draw everyone and the scenes you create! Sorry if this has been asked before but I know Na is human but what if she was a goddess or from the Celestial Realm? Like what kind of goddess do you think she would be? And if the monkeys like her/treat her differently?
hello anonnnn and tyyyyy heheh 🤭
This was an interesting one, got me thinkin about a lil story that might come out through this sort of circumstance
I would think most of the celestials would be very cautious about Wukong. He did cause all those problems for them so long ago, so I’m sure at first a Goddess!Nà would be very careful about encountering this monkey (and his second hand). So….what if she encountered him without knowing it was him…..under the circumstances that she is a goddess that enjoys helping her feathered friends.
Tumblr media
And then she goes back to the celestial realm talking about a strange bird she has never seen before… tan in color, strange markings and a very apparent red bushy tail feather (very much reminiscent of a …monkey tail)
Oh man everyone is all up on her case about helping Wukong. I mean how was she supposed to know, she thought she was doing a heavenly duty.
To Wukong, I would think he wouldn’t like the company of the celestials after everything either. He in fact thinks he is still better than them, of course he would never hang out with them all buddy buddy. So when this naive goddess comes to help him, he becomes very interested…
hrmmm hrmmm good food for the brain in these trying times

On the subject of "why did Armand turn Daniel, if not out of spite?" My prediction is summed up perfectly by this quote from the movie Last Life in the Universe:
“The lizard wakes up and finds he’s the last lizard alive. His family and friends are all gone. Those he didn’t like, those who picked on him in school, are also gone. The lizard is all alone. He misses his family and friends. Even his enemies. It’s better being with your enemies than being alone. That’s what he thought. Staring at the sunset, he thinks. 'What is the point in living… If I don’t have anyone to talk to?'"
I do think at this point in the story there is genuine animosity between them (whether or not DM has already happened). But faced with the possibility of being alone - really truly alone - for the first time in 500+ years.... Armand decides that it's better to tie himself to a rival than to have no one at all.

4.75 stars. This was a good end to the arc that started in book 1. I really enjoyed it and I have loved Murderbot's growth. This is a new favorite series.

No Exit is a horror thriller directed by Damien Power and based on Taylor Adams’ novel, this movie delivers a chilling, claustrophobic experience that’s perfect for fans of survival suspense.
The story unfolds at a visitor's center during a blizzard, where a group of strangers finds themselves trapped. The setting is bleak and isolating, amplifying the unease as the characters’ secrets bubble to the surface. The pacing is tight, clocking in at just under 90 minutes, and it wastes no time plunging into the tension. The cinematography makes great use of the snowy, confined space, turning the environment into a character of its own.
One standout is Havana Rose Liu as Darby, who carries the film with a raw, determined energy. She’s a flawed but relatable lead, navigating the chaos with grit and is such a strong protagonist without being a perfect person. She's fucked up and knows she's fucked up but never feels like a broken person.
But let’s talk about Danny Ramirez’s performance for a moment—his portrayal (without giving anything away) is almost magnetic. He brings a layered intensity to his role, charming and kind in a way that keeps you hooked without knowing why. The rest of the ensemble, including Dennis Haysbert and David Rysdahl, fills out the cast with solid, believable turns.
The film isn’t flawless—some plot points stretch believability, and there’s a touch of minor ableism in how Lars (played by Rysdahl) is nearly immediately singled out as the bad guy™, which might irk some viewers. But it’s the kind of movie where the ride matters more than the nitpicks. When the plot kicks into overdrive it's a nonstop ride until the end.
Trigger warnings: Be aware that No Exit includes multiple scenes with guns (being used to shoot and threatened with), use of a nail gun, and a stabbing with a screwdriver. If those elements are tough for you, proceed with caution.
Overall, No Exit is a gripping, compact thriller with strong performances—Havana and Danny’s included—that’ll leave you on edge. It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s a solid pick for a snowy night in. I’d give it a 7.5/10.

Exit Strategy by Martha Wells
"The upside was paranoid attention to detail. The downside was also paranoid attention to detail."
Year Read: 2025
Rating: 4/5
Thoughts: Though not perfect, this might be my favorite book in the series so far. Like the previous, it's still a little slow to take off, with a bit too much focus on changing locations. (Why not just start it where Murderbot wants to be and summarize the boring travel time?) However, once it picks up, it never slows down, and I was riveted watching Murderbot fight to save its humans again. The action scenes are quite tense, and I'm so interested to see how they'll be adapted to the screen. Will we get the breakdown of Murderbot's thoughts throughout? It seems like it would lose something if we don't.
It's lovely to have Dr. Mensah and the original team back on the page, and it makes the stakes feel much higher since both Murderbot and reader have a connection to them. The character development is also possibly the best its been so far, and we really have the sense that Murderbot has come full circle from the end of the first book. In fact, it's presented with basically the same choice: stay or flee, but it's no longer the same Murderbot making the decisions that it made in book one. I'm excited to see what happens next and curious to see how it holds up with Network Effect being more than twice the length of any previous books.

In the body, where everything has a price,
I was a beggar. On my knees,
I watched, through the keyhole, not
the man showering, but the rain
falling through him: guitar strings snapping
over his globed shoulders.
He was singing, which is why
I remember it. His voice—
it filled me to the core
like a skeleton. Even my name
knelt down inside me, asking
to be spared.
He was singing. It is all I remember.
For in the body, where everything has a price,
I was alive. I didn’t know
there was a better reason.
That one morning, my father would stop
—a dark colt paused in downpour—
& listen for my clutched breath
behind the door. I didn’t know the cost
of entering a song—was to lose
your way back.
So I entered. So I lost.
I lost it all with my eyes
wide open.

The Exit 8 - Blast Review
Developer: Kotake Create Steam Deck Compatibility?: Playable Rrp: £3.39
Now this is a genre I’ve not come across before, anomaly hunting. It feels like it’s an offshoot from walking simulators since strictly speaking the only thing you do is walk. The thing is, that’s a bit of an unfair statement. You see, in this game genre, you may interact with the game world by walking around but the game itself requires you to be observant and detail oriented.
In The Exit 8 you are stuck in an endlessly repeating passageway for what seems like a train station. If you see an anomaly you’re supposed to walk back the way you came, otherwise continue on. Each time you do this you’ll pass a large yellow exit sign, if you were right about there being an anomaly or not the number on that sign goes up, but if you’re wrong it reduces down to zero. The aim of the game is to get that sign to eight and finally exit the passageway.
Tumblr media
The anomalies vary wildly, sometimes they’re very obvious but often they’re some kind of hidden detail such as a missing doorknob or a strange stain on the ceiling.
I absolutely loved this game, I’ve always enjoyed playing ‘spot the difference’ as a kid and this game gives the same sense of satisfaction that those did. It’s just in this case there’s also a sense of liminal horror as well, but don’t worry there aren’t any jumpscares.
---- If you’d like to support me I have a Ko-fi, the reviews will continue to be posted donation or not.

EXTRA WARNINGS ::
lightly gore-y descriptions
JENNIFER’S BODY
watched 1/2/25 4/5 STARS ! there’s so much happening constantly and im lowkey so sad colin died :( i want chip so bad and also needy’s so pretty :3c the concept is actually super cool but i wish needy used her brain sometimes like girl please…
NO EXIT
watched 1/3/25 5/5 STARS ! PLOT TWIST AFTER PLOT TWIST AFTER PLOT TWIST WHAT IN THE WORLD
LUCK
watched 1/5/25 3.5/5 STARS ! everytime sam sings it sucks so bad im sorry 😭 hazel is super cute though. the human animation looks weird to me sometimes, but at the same time it’s pretty cute AND THE CAT ANIMATIONS ARE SO ADORABLE :((( i love bob’s behavior so much he’s so silliness :3 got a huge attitude for a little guy the pig animations remind me a LOT of sing and i cant tell if i love or hate it. the concept overall is pretty interesting, the way they incorporated bad luck was kind of cool - the plot twist with bob was very intriguing to me, i love the idea of the “good luck” character helping the entire time having no good luck at all.
THE HUNGER GAMES
rewatched in december - reviewed on 1/8/24 5/5 STARS ! one of my favorites from the batch, i ADORE the way they do the audio in this movie especially the scene when katniss gets into the cornucopia AUAGGGHHH <333 the tracker jacker scene is also super interesting to me but the part where her mom is talking but it’s peeta’s voice makes me giggle a lot
JOURNEY 2: THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND
rewatched 1/9/25 5/5 STARS ! the movie is so stupidly endearing. sean gives me heavy second-hand embarrassment sometimes but the motorcycle scene is so sick 🙏 the way they portrayed the island was so pretty and in my opinion the animal animations were pretty good. gabato is so stupid i love him. i liked watching the bond between sean and hank develop, aswell as hank and gabato (theyre so dumb i love them) also the beef between hank and alexander makes me giggle so bad. if i had a penny for how many times dwayne “the rock” johnson jiggled his boobs and saved an island through a storm i’d have two pennies. why does he keep doing this.
GET OUT
watched 1/9/25 5/5 STARS ! this movie is so interesting wtf. i think this is the first time ive seen the main character in a horror movie be ACTUALLY realistic. also i love rod so much…. he’s so silly the scene where rod’s on the phone with rose - her actor was SO good at sounding emotional without looking it. i genuinely dont know what else to say about this movie aside from just. wow.
FANTASTIC MR. FOX
watched 1/10/25 5/5 STARS ! auagaghh ash fox you are so me :((((……. i dont even know how to describe the movie itself but the art-style is my favorite thing ever (the running looks so goofy i love it)
SMILE 2
watched 1/11/25 4.5/5 STARS ! in the horror aspect, not the best. it was more bloody than scary, however it was still a very good movie. i loved gemma’s character (even if it wasnt actually her), she ate so hard. i liked joshua a lot aswell. i honestly really liked the way they made skye handle the “infection”(?), because yes it wasnt productive in the sense of solving the problem but it felt more realistic. i honestly ADORED the ending. i love when horror movies end with a death instead of solving the issues or being a “tune in next time”. also the monster? AUAAGGHH it looked kind of stupid but the CONCEPT WAS SO COOL!!!!!!!!!!
V/H/S
watched 1/11/25 3.5/5 STARS ! at the beginning i wasnt a huge fan (the scene where the guy’s dick got ripped off made me giggle so bad im sorry) but like as the movie went on i ended up getting super invested… i honestly wish more movies were filmed like this because it’s super cool to me… sometimes lesser quality just makes things look cooler. at first i wasnt a fan because there was so much going on back to back but like i ended up really preferring that. like you basically knew (almost) everyone was going to die but it was still interesting. i dunno i guess this movie just kinda grew on me throughout watching it :3
COME PLAY
watched 1/11/25 4.5/5 STARS ! the concept of larry is so fucking cool what ???? the scene where he’s crawling out of the electronics HEELLLLOOOO SAILOR 🤤🤤🤤 oliver is one of the few autistic representations ive seen that isnt so intensely stereotyped and babied, at least in my opinion. i love watching the friendship between oliver and byron grow :(( the sillies :::((((((( the scene at the end was so cute…… this movie is so awesome
ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS: THE ROAD CHIP
watched 1/13/25 4.5/5 STARS ! i dont trust anyone who doesnt like alvin and the chipmunks
DINNER IN AMERICA
watched 1/13/25 5/5 STARS ! i really like the way they did the intro credits, the music was so banger ^_^ also patty is so pretty and me coded…. there’s so much going on in the first few minutes but i got to see the kittens :3 simon is actually so hot im sorry - he’s such an asshole and lies all the time and i NEED HIM. HIS SMILE IS SO CUTE IM LITERALLY IN LOVE. i actually love this story so bad i got so invested. get that boy outta jail he need to see his music girlfriend 🩷🩷

watched 1/14/25 4.5/5 STARS ! IM SORRY THE “STRAIGHT IS GREAT” SHIRT IS SO FUNNY IVE BEEN GIGGLING FOR LIKE TEN MINUTES 😭 SHUT UP MEGAN AND GRAHAM ARE SO CUTE IM GONNA CRY :(((( WHEN THEY WENT TO THE CLUB TOGETHER AND AJAAHWHEHDHDDJD I LOVE THEM THE SILLIES
PEARL
watched 1/14/25 3.5/5 STARS ! i dont quite know how to describe this movie, it was very good dont get me wrong but i dont know if i’d watch it again. i love the way pearl’s actor does the screaming rage like AUAGAGAGHH I LVOE IT!!!!! i think i just had high expectations for this movie based on what ive seen, it’s an amazing movie just not personally my type of movie ^_^
DINNER IN AMERICA
rewatched 1/18/25 5/5 STARS ! MY WIIFIEEEEEE I LOVE YOU SIMON COME HOME THE KIDS MISS YOU

ANYWAYS PAULIE ILY YOURE ME YOU ARE ME PAULIE. “he’s the cheese to my macaroni” SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP :(((( also the fact juno still gave vanessa the baby at the end :< ily juno
MUFASA: THE LION KING
watched 1/20/25 4/5 STARS ! i loved the animation (or cgi?? i dunno the proper term for this) they did for this movie! i wish keith david got more screen time i love him </33 also every-time beyonce spoke i giggled because i keep forgetting she’s an actor,, other than that this movie was pretty good ^_^ i dont have much to say about it but i wasnt a huge fan of the songs - though the “bye bye” one was fun :3 i like that they incorporated taka’s scar by him saving mufasa one last time!!
V/H/S/2
watched 1/21/25 4/5 STARS ! AAAAHHHHHHHH WHY DID THE DEMON CRAWL OUT OF HER STOMACH WHAT IS GOING ONNNNN 😭😭😭😭😭 i think tape three is the more gore-y between v/h/s 1 and 2 like oh my god but the alien scenes are actually so sick ALSO HOW DID WE GO FROM GHOSTS, TO ZOMBIES, TO CULTS/DEMONS, TO ALIENS????? IN ONE MOVIE??????? NOOOOOOOOO THE PUPPPYYYYYY ::::((((( THE ENDING OH MY GOD??? I GENUINELY LOVE THESE MOVIES THEYRE GROWING ON ME SO MUCH

Brief Semi-Spoiler Review of Taylor Adams' No Exit (10/100 Books in 2024)
RATING: 4/5; RECOMMENDS: 4/5
This is my second book by Taylor Adams, and I was slightly disappointed. I absolutely adored The Last Word and heard this was his best book. That may be my fault due to my heightened expectations. On its own, this is a highly effective, tense, and enjoyable book. However, the movie adaptation is trash; don't bother watching it.
I love the premise of this book—the isolation, the tension, the inescapability of it all… I listened to most of the book while on vacation in Costa Rica, and I still felt the cold seeping into my bones.
Ashley is a great villain. He’s got big Joker + School Sh**ter vibes, and I found him genuinely unnerving. He’d make a good Stephen King villain. His interactions with everyone always set me on edge, from his weird attraction to Darby to his controlling ‘love’ toward his brother (what was with the mouth kiss?) to the way he can fake being friendly with Ed.
Good cast of side characters. Ed was my favorite because of his determination to be a better man, and little Jaybird’s resourcefulness makes her a star of a child's character. Darby is a wonderful female lead too. She never feels OP or totally in control, she makes errors and bad decisions, but Darby is also fantastically clever, and watching her think her way out of situations is part of what makes the ride so enjoyable.
There are many twists and turns in this book. None were bad, but I felt a bit exhausted by the end.
I am almost entirely certain nail guns don’t work as they are depicted in this book.
Books like this have made it so that when I get a car, I'll also get a satellite phone to keep in my car for situations like this, along with a whole-ass emergency kit, first aid supplies, at least two weapons, and non-perishable food.

Like any good son, I pull my father out
of the water, drag him by his hair
through white sand, his knuckles carving a trail
the waves rush in to erase. Because the city
beyond the shore is no longer
where we left it. Because the bombed
cathedral is now a cathedral
of trees. I kneel beside him to see how far
I might sink. Do you know who I am,
Ba? But the answer never comes. The answer
is the bullet hole in his back, brimming
with seawater. He is so still I think
he could be anyone’s father, found
the way a green bottle might appear
at a boy’s feet containing a year
he has never touched. I touch
his ears. No use. I turn him
over. To face it. The cathedral
in his sea-black eyes. The face
not mine—but one I will wear
to kiss all my lovers good-night:
the way I seal my father’s lips
with my own & begin
the faithful work of drowning.
