I can't believe there's only 1 chapter left of TMS after this! I was wondering, do you have a vague estimate of when your Indie turtles comic will start, probably considering you'll be taking a break after this is done, like ROTP?

As of right now, my current estimate is for Indie TMNT debut will be mid-August-ish. I plan to take a month or so break before I start the next comic so I’ll be off most of July to prep and finish up any last stuff I wanted to do with TMS.

i have to talk about this or else i'll implode and i dont think my friends want to hear me go on about ice hockey for like an hour, i have already tormented them enough (putting this under a readmore. i am tired and am probably being dramatic)

after several years of wanting to play ice hockey i finally managed to do so like two days ago. i obviously fell a bunch of times because i hadnt ice skated in a while (three years :skull_emoji:), and going almost straight into a match as a first time thing wasnt really the best idea. i sucked as expected, but it was still really fun and familiar in some aspects, and i am determined to become at least okay-ish at it

i was at the second training yesterday (technically today but my sleep schedule is bad), and we went through some more basic skating techniques which was really nice, and im grateful that the karate apparently helps with some aspects. Idk it just feels surreal because it's a thing I've wanted to do for so long, but I've never really talked about it much and i feel emberassed about being so happy about it

idk im also realizing that me for the longest time going "Hell yeah I want to play ice hockey!!!" every time a hockey reference popped up wasn't really normal levels of interest(tm). There sadly weren't any hockey clubs in my hometown either lmao (there were people who did indoor hockey/floorball(?) but we'd played that a bunch at school and it wasn't as appealing :pensive:).

ironically enough, i was always unable to really watch ice hockey on the tv or get into any too ice hockey-related media, because I'd get so distraught about not being able to play it myself that I'd just be unable to focus on it. Like it'd happen with other sports/activities too but it'd be extra bad with ice hockey (and karate but I'd already practiced that so it was less frustrating). I'm embarrassed to say that i almost quit watching il for a bit when they got to the hockey episodes because I'd be like "m a n i want to play ice hockey :( " then I'd just and be really distraught over it for a bit :pensive.jpg:

i suppose it's the surreal-ness of doing that this year as well as starting t which were two things i thought i wasnt going to be able to do anytime soon. it's just really cool

I should've answered this sooner but I was procrastinating Everything (TM) including fun things, then I saw @escherstrange-ffxiv had answered this, so I best get my butt into gear.

Proudest/favourite moments include:

#5 Stamp took a while to write, and even then I had to ask @escherstrange-ffxiv for a beta-read coz Lore (TM), so it took even longer. BUT, it's still the one I keep going back to reread, so it was well worth it <3 It was the one that gave me more clues of Vouloix's character apart from just 'Best Dad in Ishgard' ; I'm very happy to have him be kind and wily so I look forward to seeing more of him in future (oh god that means I have to be Clever, OH NO)

Finding new ways to reinterpret the prompts given, and attempting to write it in a way that doesn't use the word within the piece yet still gets the interpretation across (I never did succeed all the time but it was fun trying!) #19 Taken was a good one, I thought.

Speaking of #19, using different languages is a favourite schtick of mine so putting 'Doman' and 'Old Elezen/Ishgardian' in one was fun!

Getting @escherstrange-ffxiv to cry (figuratively) at #3 Tempest and #6 Halcyon - I could have happily stopped after that! (And also these were the interpretations that took a good left turn in my head)

#21 Shade because it was the one @usernamedjohn reblogged hehehe- (ok and Remont's characterisation here managed to hit the checkpoints I had for him, especially after I'd written Stamp and #17 Sally - he's definitely Vouloix's son in a more... rake-ish shape; we'll see if this changes anytime soon LMAO)

Honestly, finishing the list is something I'm proud of - I wasn't expecting to actually make it, but somehow I did?? It was a great opportunity to explore more of the family, though I do wish I'd expanded further with their staff (...I promise nothing for 2025)

 i’ve noticed a little influx in followers the past few weeks, and i figured now is a good time to highlight some of the main canon divergencies on this blog. i’ll eventually go into further detail with headcanon posts and metas, etc., but for now enjoy the ‘spark notes’ edition, featuring yours truly, yeeting canon out the window where it belongs. 

the mountain: 

i get what they were trying to do with the ‘concede a battle’ thing but. nah son. the earthborn have suffered enough at the hands of this enemy. trikru suffered especially. in my canon lexa “agreed” to the deal with cage, but the minute her people were free, she and her forces unleashed hell. they worked together with skaikru to either bust in, or set the whole place on fire (whatever method, they’re getting in so i can give my girl the hallway fight scene she deserves). 

after the mountain’s defeat, they took and distributed whatever resources were still salvageable (medical, food, miscellaneous) before burning the facility to the ground. there was absolutely no reason for them to preserve mount weather, especially since it represented all the horrific things the earthborn endured. and they certaintly wouldn’t want people they were in a rocky alliance with to have the kind of access to it that they did in season 3 canon. 

blood must not have blood:

again, i understand there was a message they were going for, but given it was a stupid  message, i am electing to ignore it. we know an ‘eye for an eye’ is a bad cycle and can’t go on forever, this concept has been beat to death. but there is no way lexa was okay with doing essentially nothing in retaliation (sure, the blockade was supposed to put pressure on skaikru but...). she would revoke skaikru as the thirteenth clan ( honestly... i don’t think she would even truly let them in the coalition in the first place...) and if they refused to hand over those responsible for the massacre, war would more than likely ensue. 

her canon death: 

it was lazy, it was an insult. i know it was their way of explaining her leaving the show, but they could have done so much better and they chose not to. and the gays demand a sacrifice!! since i don’t fuck with the bury your gays trope, lexa is very much alive and kicking. yes i know that drastically changes aspects of canon from s3 on, don’t @ me, it’s a wip.

Lantern's Light (title pending) || First Draft in Progress || Sorran would be the first to admit they're not a great person, in fact, they're kinda a bitch. But when they happen to extend a bit of kindness to someone in need, it turns out the "someone" is actually an old god. An old god who has now decided Sorran is her new champion, and now they're stuck babysitting the reborn champion of the gods in some epic quest to defeat a threat to all of existence. found family ; redemption/bastardization arcs ; mix of high and modern fantasy ; parallel story arcs

how would the family dynamic shift after bella joins the cullen family? assuming that renesmee and jacob would tag along, ten family members - eight of them being teenagers under the roofs of a two early 20s couple - isn't exactly subtle.

Oh, it was bad before, now I'm sure Carlisle just cries. No one's going to believe it, but dammit, they have to try (or else they have to rotate who lives with the family/who gets to hang out with the Denali but I suspect that won't fly.)

I'm sure their backstory is now a convoluted, absurd, soap opera that gets worse at every dramatic reveal.

Brief Thoughts on the Cullen Charade in the Post Breaking Dawn Era

But to go into specifics I see happening.

Edward, Bella, and Renesmee will pose as biological siblings. There's simply too much similarity between both Edward and Renesmee and Renesmee and Bella for anything else. This is very unfortunate as that "They're not really incestuous, just, you know, kind of incestuous" argument they had in Forks, yeah, that's gone now. Edward and Bella, flirting at the lunch table, are actually fucking their biological siblings in the eyes of New Town (TM).

Then there's everyone looking near the same except Renesmee. Which, of course, makes the Cullens look that much weirder as it feels a bit like a pattern matching game (which of the people at this table don't belong).

I'm giving Jake an out, per canon he'll stop aging when he looks 25-ish, and he's noticeably huge. He might try the high school thing one time but if Renesmee looks out of place he really looks out of place (actually human looking, much darker skin, looks nothing like the others, looks like an adult). So now he gets to be the creepy adult mechanic who... lives in the Cullen's basement and hits on the less pale clearly underage girl (as Renesmee stops growing when she looks physically eighteenish, supposedly, which means she'll look like a teenager forever).

Thankfully for the Cullens, their days are numbered anyway. The internet's catching up to them, one of these dumbasses will make a social media account, and then they have to go live in the woods. So they probably will only get through one or two iterations of the Cullen High School experience before this happens.

But those experiences will be a ride.

The Family Dynamics

We see hints of how this will settle in Breaking Dawn. And yes, it's weird.

You have something of a nuclear family within a family. There's the whole Cullen entourage, yes, but then Bella, Edward, and Renesmee live in a small cabin as a miniature family.

Otherwise, Bella will think herself a mother without doing any mothering/paying attention to her child whatsoever. Parenting in any capacity is falling to Rosalie and Carlisle (I'd count Esme but she's... Esme), Edward and Bella are completely out to lunch in Breaking Dawn and it doesn't seem like that will change anytime soon.

Renesmee's going to grow up with pressure to marry Jacob from Edward, Bella, and Jacob. So Jacob's going to be around an uncomfortable amount and I imagine will be moving with the family. This will come to an uncomfortable head sooner or later.

Generally though I imagine the sibling dynamics/parent dynamics remain relatively untouched. Despite everything that happened, most the Cullens didn't change opinions about one another through the series, just how they feel about Bella. By the end of the series they all either like her well enough or else tolerate her presence and choices (Rosalie for this last bit).

But I don't expect this period of relative stability to last long.

5. What was their first kiss like?

It was a really weird moment, because this was before he really got his Reputation (tm). He was about 16-ish, and he was so used to his siblings getting all the attention from the people that he never thought that someone would actually care about him. (Or rather, want attention from him because he's a Prince. :( ) But there was a state function of some sort (he doesn't really remember what for, it was a snoozefest to a teenager.) and there was this girl (the daughter of some random noble) who kept flirting with him. He had never really had anyone pay attention to him before, so he was like "hell yeah". And so he and this girl (her name was Lilliana) were chatting, and they might have been a little tipsy, because they had snuck some wine, and she kissed him. They saw eachother a few times after that, but it was never a serious relationship.

6. What is the worst thing they did to someone they loved?

Before the story? Probably leaving his older sister (his favorite sibling, the only one of his siblings that he likes.) behind when he came to Anvia. She got left behind in Oryn, where she's expected to (very soon) marry some stuffy noble and live a respectable life.

During the story? You'll have to wait and see....

9. What smells/sounds remind them of their childhood?

Sounds: The sound of metal on metal. He spent a LOT of time training with a sword, so obviously sounds related to that remind him of those times. Also, certain ballroom songs remind him of times he just sat on the edges of rooms, watching his siblings get handed off to nobles to dance and surrounded by people. Meanwhile, he got told "stay out of the way, and for fuck's sake, don't make a fool of yourself" (meaning "don't make a fool of us")

Smells: Definitely the smell of manure reminds him of the times he would go out riding. That has always been his escape, because not only was it a way to get out of the palace, it was also one of the few activities that his parents wouldn't frown upon him doing. Also, the smell of fresh-baked sweets, because he used to hide in the kitchens when he wanted to get away, because the rest of his family would never associate with the servants. So, he would hide in the kitchens and sometimes he'd get a cookie or two.

FEH - Calendar for Dec/2021

The calendar of the month was finally revealed, here it is:

And as usual, I share these with my own dump of thoughts and plans, feel free to read these right below.

Highlights and thoughts

The first thing that comes to attention is this, although this still means the trailer is comming 52 hours before the banner, it gives us the guarantee we'll see it at [Dec. 14th, 12:00 a.m.] (GMT-3). By then, our next seasonal units will be revealed, and there's a certain one I've been hoping to save for if it's true they'll be there. I won't say who they are though, while it's a possibility, it's still a potential spoiler.

But if they're here and the backup looks good enough, I'll pull for them and ignore the rest of the banners to allow for recovery.

The other Special Heroes banner comes the night of New Year, but that's a global tradition, so this is guaranteed to be here and live at the same time, we'll get news at the usual 52 hours of anticipation with the trailer.

The first batch will give us winter seasonals as per usual, while the second will give us seasonals of Heroes celebrating the New Year.

Oh, and with the first batch of seasonals, the last [Tempest Trials+] event in the {Ice & Flame} series will come to an end (event starts the same day as the banner), you can expect Ascended Laegjarn on it, as well as possibly, who's the winner between the champions of the two dragon gods: Fjorm (from Nifl) and Laegjarn (from Múspell). Of course, I'm looking forward to see how this side story will conclude.

Also, look at this:

We're getting the New Heroes announced kinda soon-ish, while that'd normally come out as quite the surprise, the Special Heroes are still coming out in the update for late-Dec/2021 in the Pacific, while the New Heroes are designated for the 6.1.0.

My best guess would be a The Binding Blade banner with no centered location thematic this time, but I'm personally hoping to see Ellen and Murdock! Otherwise, we might actually hear about our second TMS#FE banner.

This time, the Legendary Hero will be announced unusually early, expecting the trailer to be out at [Dec. 23th, 12:00 a.m.] (GMT-3). This is good though, the earlier the better for us.

This is the only skill banner of the month I feel would have at least some value to me, the rest don't feel as threatening to my savings, but who knows.

So far, in the regular pool we have: Laegjarn, Helbindi, Loki, Erinys, Marianne, Valentian Palla and Yuri. But 3 out of the last 4 will likely comprise the whole banner, because they have the Lv.4 skills, and Yuri is the most likely to be there.

...If Erinys and Valentian Palla somehow make it here, it's difficult to say I won't drop at least a few [Orbs] for these lovely pegasus knights, but we'll see depending on who's on it and anything revealed before, I'm still deciding as the banners are revealed.

The weekly at 12/26 (with Young Tiki, Linde and Deirdre) is also a possibility.

In the not too farfetched possiblity all the above is a skip, I might pull a little in either of those (out of all the revivals shown here), for Winter Altina+Sanaki or New Year Azura (both for collecting for now), but it's hard to say on which one I'll end up going for, the former feels more likely though because a Harmonized Hero with two likeable purple-haired girls is perfection... but actually speaking, I'd love to collect the Harmonized Hero because of personal attachment, and get some juicy fodder for my Sara or Valentine's Silque if possible, from Winter Sephiran... I'll have to settle with one copy if I somehow get him though, because I'd need two for all his fodder, but he's not so necessary to get anymore.

The rest of the banners aren't of my interest, so I'll move onto events:

Now, these two days until the reset of the 13th will be rather dull, today in less than an hour, the AFK rewards "game mode" will start for us, and the next of the weeklies tomorrow... yes, only these two things.

The weekly banner will have: Nailah, Keaton and Velouria... I'mma just free pull colorless I hope, otherwise blue>green>red.

Díthorba/Deet'var will finally rerun, after the long wait of... ~10 months since her debut, and we can get the free extra copy from there, I'll fodder her because, out of the Four Angelical Wings of Silesse, I only have attachment for Erinys and Annand, and [Flier Formation 3] could somehow see use... if I pick that, but I might actually promote her for a different combo.

Also, is it me or is this the first time I see two instances of [Limited Hero Battles] announced in one calendar? Huh... neat I guess, guess there's a first time for everything... but while I'm not particularly excited about these (mainly because of the slightly lacking rewards), I always look forward to test my favorites from each entry in the series, and end up being a fun challenge.

The next batch of Forma will also be revealed with the next datamine in four days, as [Hall of Forms] comes in a little over a week from here, I'll actually try to save my Forma until the Jugdral batch comes around to see if there's any seasonal I want to get as Forma or Sara somehow gets a Forma version so that I can finally give her a crazy kit... hopefully.

Other than that, [Frontline Phalanx] will also run in two days, not too exciting but the rewards are nice, and the rest of the month is pretty average. Celebrational quests for New Year (like in past years) will also be out around the start of 2022, these might be interesting and more useful this time around, here's what we got last... at that time, we got some pretty good rewards, including extra free summons on the New Year seasonals around the time.

But otherwise, the rest of the month is shaping up to be mostly average, with quite a bit to look forward to.

Sorry this might be a dumb question, but I wanted to ask for your help and advice on it - there's a problem when I spawn my V their hair is completely gone?? everything is updated and works fine, and yet this happens. Do you know what could be the reason? Thank you so much for your help and time!

So I know that AMM and other mods that rely on spawning systems have some problems atm! It's being worked on so expect updates soon-ish (tm)

My first thought is that the hair you're using on your V got either moved folder or got renamed after the update, and AMM doesn't have the hash/the right path to the file/the right name to call anymore, so it doesn't spawn

I'd say all you can do is to wait for AMM to update, or you could try another hairstyle, find one that spawn well, and look for a hair mod that swap your old hair into the one that works! But that can be honky if you're not familiar with modding at all

Hang in there for some weeks, modders are doing their best to update everything! 🙏

I knew that Ao no Flag was ending soon, but I didn’t expect chapter 53 to straight up be the second-to-last one, lol.

Anyway this chapter was fucking WILD and I legit have no idea how it’s going to end now.

This is also a good time to do my monthly reminder that volume 1 is going to be coming out in English in April, a few weeks after the final chapter comes out.

Thoughts under the cut.

I guess it should have been pretty obvious that this whole trip to visit Touma would be The Big Emotional Climax [tm] of the manga, but I still thought we’d have slightly more to go. I’m not complaining, though, and I don’t necessarily think the ending feels rushed. The time skip is kinda jarring, but that’s just because I didn’t see it coming. It makes a lot of sense that we’d get a big time-skip epilogue after the main drama between the main trio was wrapped up.

I think one reason why I thought we had slightly more left to the story was because volume 8 looks like it’s now going to cover chapters 49 to 54, which is six chapters, compared to how most volumes have had seven chapters thus far. It’s entirely possible that the final chapter’s going to be longer than normal, though.

Anyway, the bulk of this chapter was basically what I expected, but it was still really heartwarming. I still hope that certain things with characters like Masumi get resolved in the final chapter, but it made sense to have this chapter be entirely focused on the main trio, and how they more or less resolved the emotional tension between them.

There was something almost anti-climactic about it, but there were only so many ways it could have gone, and as the end of the chapter spelled out, it’s not like everything was suddenly perfect between them after that point.

It was a little annoying how in spite of what Taichi said about wanting to have a proper conversation with Touma, we didn’t actually get to see Touma talk very much. But oh well. We’ll probably see more of him in the final chapter as well.

For better or worse, the whole scene of the three of them at the beach together shouting ‘I love you’ into the sea was really cute. And then all that heartwarming teenage emotional sincerity gets stopped dead in it’s tracks with the sequence of time-skips where we immediately find out that Taichi and Futaba broke up a few years later and then years after that he gets invited to her wedding, lol.

Not to be extremely biased on main or anything but I feel slightly . . . validated by the reveal that their relationship didn’t last long. Something about it always felt a bit superficial and childish. But in a normal, realistic sort of way.

I’m kinda curious to see who Futaba ended up married to, even if they’re just some random person we haven’t seen before. In my heart of hearts I want her to have ended up with Masumi, if only to help make up for Masumi’s lack of character development and emotional resolution, but even if we ignore the fact that, y’know, Japan hasn’t really legalized same-sex marriage yet, it’s probably a bit of a pipedream anyway.

Honestly anything would be fine as long as she didn’t end up marrying Touma, lmao. That’d basically cause me to immediately regret ever having read the series. But I think that’s pretty unlikely. I think she probably just ended up meeting someone during the whole time-skip period who we haven’t seen before.

The final chapter’s still probably going to give a run-down of where all of the important characters are at this point in time, though, so hopefully one way or another we’ll get some resolution for characters like Masumi.

I’m really curious to see how things turned out with Taichi after he broke up with Futaba. There’s some visual hints that he’s currently living with someone, but he might just have a room-mate and there’s nothing noteworthy going on there.

Is it too much of a pipe dream to hope that he and Touma actually ended up dating as the years went on? lol

I wouldn’t be surprised if the two of them are just, like, totes 100% platonic roomies now, but that’d feel a little bit awkward, all things considered. It’s one thing to have them just be friends with each other from that point on, but still.

One way or another it’d be nice if we find out that Touma got himself a boyfriend. I’d feel kinda depressed if both him and Masumi ended up single. The dude deserves SOMETHING after all the shit he got put through in the main story.

There’s really just not much to go on at this point, though, so basically we’re all just left to speculate about how we hope things ended up for everyone after this whole time-skip, and we have to just wait until next month to see how it all wraps up.

The final chapter has a lot of potential to completely taint my enjoyment of the series as a whole, but with how things stand now, I still really like it, in spite of it’s faults. I still think it’d be nice if it ended up getting an anime adaptation as well. Now that we know it’s ending with the next chapter, I think it’s safe to say that it could be fit pretty nicely into a 24-ish episode length. But in the short term I just hope that I actually like how the ending goes, lol

Stray thoughts

1) That’s probably the longest “previously on” I’ve ever seen. I imagine all these plot twists make it very difficult to capture the attention of casual viewers, hence the length of the recap. And I’m dreading the scene where Jane finds out her baby’s been kidnapped…

2) “Los Milagros de Mariana” looks pretty progressive for its time, doesn’t it? Especially for a telenovela…

3) Oh dear, Jane and Rafael are watching pictures of Mateo and they have no idea he’s gone…

4) Sin Rostro’s a brunette now. Huh. I’ve wondered if they’re going to go with a different actress or if they’ll give her a different haircut once she shows up again. I mean, she’s bound to show up again, right?

5) I can’t imagine what it must feel like to have your child taken away from you. Jane’s clearly in shock, she hasn’t processed this information yet…

6) Oh thank jebus, Sin Rostro has given Michael instructions. I really hope Mateo is back with his mom by the end of this episode.

7) She took the baby… to get her brooch back? What kind of value does it have? It can’t be emotionally significant… could it be some kind of key or something? It must be something that she needs for evil purposes… Kudos to her, though, she knew that the only way to manipulate Michael into doing anything for her would be to put Jane or her baby in danger.

Also, I think I have to admit that my theory that Rose was the fighter chick was way off.

And Rafael and Michael actually hugged? But now the narrator is all ominous and tbh, I didn’t need that, I was already expecting everything to go to shit considering the baby was back with his family in the first act…

17) I’m sorry but of all the outrageous situations that happen in this show, this is the one that’s pushing my suspension of disbelief…

No mother would go ANYWHERE other than their doctor’s appointment in the first couple of weeks of a new-born baby, especially not when he’s only one day old! That’s ridiculous! First of all, the baby shouldn’t be exposed to germs of bacteria because he still hasn’t been vaccinated. Some doctors even suggest that you shouldn’t take them out until they’re one-month old, unless it’s absolutely necessary. Second of all, moms of new-borns use of all their energy to feed and care for their babies – there’s no way in hell they’re going to get all dressed up to go to a mummy’s club or something? NO FUCKING WAY!

18) What do you know? I’m actually sympathizing with Michael…

19) So… Rafael’s semen is now… a baby’s present. Full circle, I guess.

20) It’s so weird to see that once upon a time they were a loving, healthy couple…

27) And Rafael was also kind of decent by thanking Michael, but then he wasn’t when he started having a very intimate conversation with Jane right in front of him. I guess Jane and Rafael are going to be co-parenting under the same roof now…

28) So… Magda’s advice is that Petra should sell Rafael’s sperm back to him… now, wouldn’t it be much more profitable for Petra to get inseminated with it? Evil, yeah. But so much more profitable.

29) And Moron is planting ideas on Petra’s mind…

LUISA: He got mad at me, actually. Because if I hadn't screwed up in the first place, then none of this would be happening, which it's true. I mean, that should have been your baby.

So I guess she’s going for it. But I want a storyline for Petra that doesn’t involve Rafael IN ANY WAY.

30) Okay, good, Xiomara came clean about her wedding with Rogelio. I’m glad they didn’t make her keep it a secret because it really doesn’t make much sense.

31) So… Jane felt the need to tell Michael that Rafael is staying at her house strictly as Rafael’s father. I guess it’s back to Michael. But then…

That ought to make a girl at least a bit confused.

33) As a season opener, it was an okay-ish episode. The cliff-hanger was resolved rather quickly, which I appreciate. I don’t think it would’ve been a good idea to have Jane apart from Mateo longer than she was. It was somewhat fun, but I didn’t feel the stakes were high enough or that the season storylines were truly being established. The final scene was confusing, which I guess was meant to be, and I can’t say I’m on board with rehashing the Michael-Jane-Rafael triangle AGAIN or with Petra getting inseminated with Rafael’s sperm. I really don’t see any potential in those storylines, so let’s hope the season goes somewhere else instead.

I was going to update my bio but it didn't save but I'm just going to label this as a general whatever blog for now, not JUST a Star Wars blog. It was meant to be a general blog in the first place, but then I only used it/was gaining followers for be Rebels rewatch liveblog. I think the OG name was Bre's Thoughts or something.

But I'm really comfy on here so I'm just going to make this my main-ish type blog??? I like you guys. And my Star Wars time comes in waves. I really need to get working on Ahsoka prep soon. So I'll be back to Star Wars Soon(TM).

Life has just been a lot this spring. But not in an entirely Bad way. In a way that I've been processing a lot and growing and I'm super proud. I've hit a few bumps but that's expected.

I'm keeping the username and lego Vader profile pic because they're both top tier. I switched my header cause I love the teal bubbles. I've had it saved and following me as placeholder headers for maybe the better part of a decade.

But yeah. I like it in this corner so here I will stay.

no i’m not dropping!! as weird of a time as any, I think some things are overdue and need to be made official in a post. also using this to list changes and do some cleaning. with incredibles 2 on digital, I def got some time to think and consider how I want to portray Violet going forward.

Muse updates

Violet will no longer try to hide her powers. I’m going to explain this further in a drabble/most likely for depths pt 2. I felt like I was holding her back and she has so much potential. this doesn’t mean that she won’t try to hide her identity though! but if your muse already knows, they’re on the inside 🤔

while she’s not sure she wants to pursue hero work in the future, she still has a strong sense of justice. she won’t go out of her way to reason with authorities but she will help people.

she has a cat that I’ve been neglecting omg I’m terrible. ask her about her cat!!!

she chooses her words more carefully. if anyone ever catches her flustered that’s when she rambles. otherwise, she thinks / shows more than she says. this’ll make her more perceptive than before and tougher to frazzle.

she’s not grumpy all the time but she has resting annoyed face. and when she does show emotions, she is verrry animate. I’ll try my best to write this out.

and she’s not a goth or emo or whatever. she’s a moody prep ok prove me wrong

she is still quick witted! but I feel in times of need, she is even more so. she works best when no one has any expectations of her because pressure is terrible for her.

she’s reasonable, she settles. she’s not entirely stubborn to the point she loses sight of herself. she makes do with what she’s got.

she is currently dating Tony Rydinger. I played it like a crush but they’re actually seeing each other. while obviously he’s not in isola, their relationship is just in its early stages at the point that Violet was thrown here.

I’ve mentioned this in a headcanon but she will and tends to run away, physically and mentally from her problems. if she doesn’t know how to deal with it, no matter the angle she takes, she will pce tf out.

Violet loves convenience and I headcanon for her to be a bit on the lazy side. she likes drive in food because she settles and it’s easy lmao

after the events of the second movie, she is close with both parents. she resembles her mom in the sense that they both share a cynical and believer side. it’s 60, 40 instead of 50/50 though. but she emotionally bonds with her dad more who loves words of affection and validation. she won’t seek it herself, but it’s known to calm her when she is riled up.

mild Incredibles 2 spoilers here. along with her relationship with her parents, the relationship with her brothers change a bit too — especially with Jack Jack. all in all, Violet is extremely proud of him when he shows he can control his powers. she’s often saying things like “you go, Jack Jack” and not treating him like a house pet/toy. she still respects his needs while showing that more often than not, she knows best.

also Dash hardly pulled any pranks on Vi in the second movie, but he was called embarrassing so I think Dash just knows what would grind his sister’s gears.

I lovingly bust down the door. It took me WAY LONGER than I would've liked to yell in here but a hell report has been submitted and I am ready to SWOON WITHOUT CONSEQUENCE.

I love the excitable dynamic between Eclipse and Neon already and the way the *lovely* boy immediately gave himself away <3 Wonderful Mad Scientist and Henchmen vibe but in the most well-intentioned "fuck around and find out" way. And the puns, the PUNS. I need you to know I am weak for them and grinned like a goof the whole way through. The whole drabble was just Good Vibes and boy was that needed with stress creeping high.
