kang no-eul nsfw alphabet
⋆.˚✧───🌹───✧˚.⋆
tw: rough sex and typical kinky stuff like degrading, (consensual) exhibitionism, and edging
a/n: my requests r open! :D but pls keep in mind i suck SO bad when it comes to nsfw so bare w me!!! i might write another one of these things but w se-mi or other (female) squid game characters so pls put in a request if u want a specific character!!! 🐙 the octopus emoji is rlly cute anyways i LOVE mei i love my baby i love my gf ᯓᡣ𐭩
⋆.˚✧───🌹───✧˚.⋆
a (aftercare): treats you like a princess, she'll gently kiss you all over while braiding your hair
b (body parts, what she loves most abt ur body): your thighs. she loves laying between them, and she loves resting them on her shoulders and biting them before she begins eating your pussy like it's her last meal
c (basically anything to do w cum??): she'd def lick your cum off your thighs and make you taste yourself
d (dirty secret): she wants to tie your wrists together (and keep your legs apart) and keep a vibrator on the highest intensity against your pussy to see how long you can take it
e (experience): i don't think she'd be rlly experienced, she knows what to do but she was nervous the first few times, now shes cocky and never shuts up about the times she's made you squirt
f (fav position): doggy style... or against the wall w ur legs wrapped around her or smth like that (had to look up 'top 10 sex positions' for this...</3)
g (goofy, is she more serious or does she tend to joke around?): after a few rounds, she likes to lay down beside you to catch her breath so she might make a few jokes (not at your expense) but during sex she'd probably be entirely focused on your pleasure because she knows how vulnerable you are during sex
h (hair???????): she's shaved man idrk what to say for this one
i (intimacy, is she sappy/romantic during): yes. she is. although she's into dirty talk, she always remembers to praise you and tell you how gorgeous you look underneath her, squirming and overstimulated
j (jacking off?): probably either secretly teases her pussy to the nudes you've sent her or doesn't touch herself at all
k (kink): dirty talk, hair pulling, light spanking
"Just like that, my pretty slut. your pussy looks so fucking pretty when it clenches around my fingers like that, especially when your cum drips out, i can't wait to taste you."
l (location, where she likes to get freaky deaky): she's down BADDDD so she def likes doing it in the car or in the cubicle in the bathroom of a loud and crowded restaurant.
m (motivation, what gets her in the mood): she loves when you take initiative and show her just how bad you want her.
n (no, something she wouldn't ever do): force you into sex or pressure you into trying new things/experimenting, and she always uses a safeword
o (oral, giving or receiving): SHE KNOWS HOW TO USE HER TONGUEEEE she's always either teasing you with her voice OR eating u out like it's her last meal, she prefers giving
p (pace, self explanatory): depending on what you're in the mood for. she'll slam you into the headboard and manhandle you if you ask for it rough and hard, but if you ask her to be gentle she'll kiss your forehead and gently brush the strands of your hair from your forehead as she slowly pushes herself deep inside your pulsing pussy
q (quickie): like i said, shes downbaddddd. shes def into quickies anytime and anywhere.
r (risk): YES. she dgaf abt risks, she'd fuck u in an alleyway if ur both that desperate
s (stamina): she'll go on and on until you can't handle it anymore, she'll stop only when you're drooling and incapable of forming actual words
t (toys): she only owns a vibrator and a strap, both of them for you. but she wants to experiment w buying blindfolds and handcuffs.
u (unfair, how much does she like to tease): she LOVES to edge you and tease you about it after, she wouldn't let you cum until you're begging for it on all fours.
v (volume): i cant rlly see her moaning too much tbh, she mainly just whimpers and pants.
w (wildcard, random hc for her): you'd both attend a party, she'd take you to a random room and shove your own soaking wet lingerie in your mouth to keep you quiet while she pounds into you.
x (x-ray, what's going on under there): what the FUCK does this question mean... i don't know. ig ill js say she has a 9 inch black strap
y (yearning, how high is her drive): she's always desperate for u no matter the time or place, so pretty high.
z (zzz, how fast they fall asleep after): she falls asleep only when you're all clean, taken care on and laying down in her arms drifting off to sleep yourself.

In Which I Ramble About Pavitr's Character Design and the Indian Cultural Stuff Related to It
DISCLAIMER: I'm an Indian, and these are all my thoughts and analyses, but I'm also just one person and by no means am I speaking for everyone. I am not all knowing, and I am not immune to being wrong sometimes. These points are all my own thoughts and stuff that I know through my lived cultural experiences and some history and book knowledge, but I've not particularly researched any of these. I'm just out here giving my take from what I know. This is mostly just going to be me rambling, okay? Okay. Let's go!
Anyway okay so I just wanna go from the top down:
No. 1:
First of all his hair
His fucking hair
This is one aspect that i k n o w I'm overthinking and probably wasn't as significantly thought out in the design but it just Spoke to me and by all accounts I'm not the only one
But I'm so glad we have him with his thick gorgeous fricking hair, especially them being like curly/wavy and slightly long instead of straight and cropped or whatever
Like. Indians usually have very thick and luscious hair, not everyone ofc but generally it's a thing, and it's considered a point of pride to have long dark thick hair.
And the thing is for the longest time the beauty standard in India was to have very straight and shiny hair, all the actresses and heroes were doing it, even though that's literally not the realistic case for a lot lot LOT of Indians. There's a pretty big variety of hair texture in India; some of it is regionally concentrated too, eg. in South India you get a lot of frizzy, tightly coiled hair that's rough textured, whereas curly hair is usually silkier and looser curled as you go Northwards,, Bengalis tend to have very wavy thick hair,, etc. By no means a rule or anything, it's just a thing that there's a lot of curl variety and a lot of it was for the longest time considered ugly and unkempt (there are some classist/regionalist elements to this stereotype also unsurprisingly) still is by some people,,, bc the standard was Shiny Straight Hair. It's a standard that's slowly shifting. It's currently leaning more on the wavy and voluminous side. But it's def a thing still.
All that to say, it makes me so so happy to see Pav with his curly-ish lush hair that he wears with such pride and style,, that are a symbol of his own pride and self care too!!!
Also the line about "coconut oil, prayers and good genetics" - I LOVE THAT REFERENCE AHAHABSSK, using coconut oil for the hair is a very common thing here, it's so so good for the hair and the scalp alike and it's relaxing to massage it in too.
I've seen people try to write Pavitr in fics as "quickly brushing some coconut oil through his hair" as part of his morning routine and. Um. That's not how it's done askaskjas, I don't mean to be rude to the writers at all, everyone does the best with what they know and no one knows everything, but also practically speaking that would be greasy and awful.
There are multiple ways to apply coconut oil, ofc. Coconut oil is often massaged into the scalp and rubbed into the hair like an hour before washing, sometimes with lemon juice mixed in, and then washed off when bathing. Some people, especially those with drier and finer hair, apply it as a regular after-hair-wash thing, too, but even so it needs to be rubbed in.
A really beloved thing we have is coconut oil champis, too! This is basically when you sit down cross legged in front of youe mother/grandmother, and she massages the coconut oil into your scalp and hair in a way that literally cures all tension and headaches and leaves your head reeling and is so so good for hair and stress and everything. It's a family bonding thing more than just a hair routine. It's not always done by the mom/grandmother ofc, it's just how most of us first experience it, and they have a technique that none of us can ever quite replicate to the same effect later. As we grow up, we often do it for ourselves and for others. It's a weekly or monthly or even just occasional thing depending on who you ask. But yeah that reference was great I love it dearly!
Also about the hair length
So in the current modern "civilized" standard (Indian schools and society in general tend to do a lot of shit trying to assimilate us into western culture and stamp out our own,, for example all my life I've been in schools where speaking Hindi and Telugu and stuff in class or in the hallways was Wrong and Forbidden and We Must Speak Only In English Bc We Are Educated And Cultured. This is so fucking hypocritical bc they would also have Hindi and Telugu classes and then criticize us for not getting it right or whatever), boys are meant to have short hair. Teachers literally single boys out in class for leaving their hair longer, not the exact length they set as the limit. This was my entire school experience; thankfully it doesn't seem to be the case in college, but that may just be bc I'm in an artsy college. In the workplace it's less stringent but it's still a thing.
HOWEVER, historically and culturally, long hair was considered good and even Important for both men and women. There's huge regional variations in this ofc; Maratha peshwas and higher classes and stuff for example wore a "pilaka" (idk what else it's called), which is the head shaven clean except a tuft in the middle that's sometimes braided. Brahmins still do it too.
But my point being, long hair was considered good for the most part, at most it would be worn in a bun for fighting and working,,, braids are a pretty big deal too. Having to cut your hair short=a symbol of dishonour and/or exile, or reserved for menial workers and so called "low classes".
(This is not stuff you even get explicitly told btw. This is stuff I've mostly inferred and studied from history and mythology and stuff , so there's no guarantee I'm 100% right)
Also, in Sikkhism (I'm not Sikh myself so correct me if I'm wrong, this is just what I know) having long hair is super fucking important for men. The hair is wrapped up in the turban, and the turban is a symbol of honour and pride and literally considered life. The long hair is considered sacred.
Removing the turban is basically a symbol of literally losing your honour pride and sense of self,, not just in Sikkhism, just generally at this point. Cutting your hair? Insult on injury.
Pavitr doesn't have particularly long hair ofc
But having grown up with such rigidly enforced things abt boys having very short cropped hair, it makes me so happy to see an Indian character who defies that.
Also!! Quick tangent about braids and their significance,, they're considered very beautiful and another symbol of pride, intricate buns and what not too! Just wanna drop this to give you an idea of what i mean:
In the Hindu myth of the Mahabharata, Draupadi, the wife of the Pandavas (she's a very interesting and important and beloved character, regionally also considered a goddess, she was a princess born of fire married to five princes and the vengeance for her honour literally fuelled the war for righteousness etc etc) vows never to braid her hair again until she has washed it in the blood of Dushasana, a man who forcefully tried to disrobe her in court (it's a whole myth of its own). At the apex of the war, Bheem, her husband, brings her his blood. She washes her hair in it and then for the first time in thirteen years, she braids it.
Braids are not as significant now but it was basically a Pretty Big Deal and I just wanted to talk abt it.
In Hinduism too the gods are portrayed with long hair, it's a Thing.
No. 2:
Okay so moving more downwards,, I have a bunch of Thoughts abt Pavs mask design!
Okay so obv we have the spiderweb-pattern that's a given.
But. The interesting parts are these:
The bindi-like design on his forehead.
Bc my point is
Sure that looks like a bindi. And that's beautiful in itself but I HAVE ANOTHER TAKE
Bindis are traditionally worn by women as a symbol of beauty, prosperity, and again, pride. But while nice, that's not quite a symbolism that fits imo
You know what else is ver similar where my mind immediately goes? A tilak.
The shape is kind of off for a tilak actually, a tilak is more of a U or a V with a dot or a flame-like stroke in the middle. So in that case it looks more like a bindi
But i really like thinking that it's inspired by a tilak too, bc
While a bindi is a decorative mark stuck or painted on a woman's forehead as a symbol of beauty and prosperity
A tilak is basically a mark that's finger-painted on the forehead of , usually a man but there's a softer smaller version for women too and ofc there are women warriors who got tilaks, for auspicious and blessing reasons. So in a Puja or ceremony, a tilak is put as a blessing and an auspicious thing, also meant to impart strength. The head of the household usually gets the most striking or biggest one.
Pandits usually wear tilaks for blessing purposes too, although their design is different and more elaborate than the ones given to others
Gods and goddesses had their own tilaks, some of them very distinctive like Shiva's
The part that applies to Pav is the warrior tilak
Basically before a king or warrior went to battle, it was customary to do a small sending off ritual and for the wife or mother to put the tilak for them and say "Vijay bhava" (may you be victorious)
It's still done for big undertakings and challenges like exams and new jobs and stuff.
It's basically for strength, bravery and victory
The main difference in a bindi and tilak is the intent:
Bindi is for beauty
Tilak is for valour
Which. For a HERO. Just. Chef's kiss.
2. the markings around his eyes!!
I'm sure this has been said before, but it's very very reminiscent of kathakali makeup.
Regionally there's a lot of eye makeup stuff also btw. There are some absolutely beautiful tribal designs and regional designs with a lot of colours but I cant remember specifics rn
Also!! The very distinctive black lines around Pav's eyes?? I love them sm bc they feel so so based in kohl and kajal. Another huge beauty and often pride related thing.
There's even a whole thing where a mother or older sister will often rub a bit of her kohl off on her fingertip and press it behind their loved one's ear so that "buri nazar na lage" (no one's bad gaze catches you). It's called a kaala teeka
The idea being that you're so beautiful and/or cute and bright and lovable and nothing should jinx that and nothing bad should happen to you. It's very rare now and I've never experienced it myself but it's so so precious <33
3. the white markings on his cheeks!
I've seen that explanation of how it's reminiscent of Ganesha, the elephant headed god who is kind of a symbol of new beginnings, intelligence, prosperity, and a ton of stuff I don't even know how to explain honestly, but he's very cool and beloved and has a lot of Good Vibes™ and i love him basically.
I personally am reminded more of kathakali makeup again!! But that explanation is very cool too and i like it!! I don't know if I agree bc i think it m i g h t be a blasphemy to have that imagery on your face, afaik no one here does it for any reasons and we have literal festivals and pujas dedicated to Ganesha
But then again I am a human with limited knowledge and i don't know everything
I personally think the tusk like designs are very cool. However, I also think it would be a bit of a No No for religious reasons. I also think it reminds me more of classical dance face makeup and stuff.
I also think if they meant to make it a Ganesha reference, then he should only have a tusk on one side, bc there's a huge deal about Ganesha being "ekdanta" (transl: one toothed) bc he has a well known myth of breaking off one of his tusks to write a mythologically and culturally significant epic.
There are also a lot of actual cultural face painting things in India that are way cooler than the Ganesha thing in my opinion. So while that theory is cool, I don't personally agree with it. I could be wrong, again, idk what the design intent was exactly.
No. 3:
Next thing: this is a very very small thing and i only have a sentence on it, but i really appreciate Pav's neckline in his suit.
The neckline here? That's the kind of cut that's most typical of kurtas. Especially more ceremonial, kingly, wedding sherwani, or generally festive attire; a regular kurti might have a v-neck or something, but this curved collar? Very Indian and classy in a way I can't fully explain.
No. 4:
This next thing I'm going to go completely ballistic about, everyone hold on to your seats!!!
THE FUCKING MOTIF ON HIS UPPER ARMS. IT'S EVEN ON THE MEHENDI-ISH PATTERN ON HIS WRISTS AND HANDS. THE SPIDER SHAPE TOO. I AM NOT NORMAL OKAY
LISTEN.
LISTEN TO ME
TBIS IS CONFIRMATION THAT KRISHNA PAVITR IS CANON
HE IS SO SO KRISHNA CODED
Idc if I'm delusional, i DARE you to look at that blue design and tell me it doesn't look like a peacock feather
THE SHAPE OF HIS FUCKING SPIDER IS OH SO SUBTLY CURVED TO BE PEACOCK FEATHER SHAPED TOO
There is no human way for me to be normal about this i need a minute
Okay for context:
Krishna is a very important and beloved god in Hinduism. I cannot overstate the love I have for him, even being mostly non religious myself.
There is SO MUCH about him he is such a big deal and thanks to him being made a character in popular Indian cartoons and so many animated and live action movies being made about him, he is literally woven in the fabric of our collective consciousness and love for our culture
He's a mischevious and fun and chaotic and lowkey antiestablishment kid deity. He contains the literal universe. He has a deep abiding love for his people and his family and loved ones and the world he serves. He is a dancer, flute player, sweetheart, lover of life. He has a thousand wives, yet one Radha who he never married but is his literal immortalized soulmate. He guides heroes to duty. He is full of wisdom but also silly hijinks. He is so so beloved.
The peacock feather is his symbol! You could see the peacock feather anywhere and it's immediately OH KRISHNA! He wears a peacock feather, famously. In all his iterations, from childhood to adulthood. Peacock feather is his emblem.
Krishna is depicted through the peacock feather. It's become a very common motif in arts like mehendi and various textile arts to have peacock feather and peacock patterns; I'm sure that existed before Krishna too in several cultural circles but he is definitely a huge part of it since. There is a chikankari motif that is very recognisable that's reminiscent of peacock feather but I'm mostly unsourced on that, going off my own interpretation
But there's a definite link between peacock feather=Krishna=inextricable part of culture and art.
At least in North India. He's less of a big deal the further south you go. Still very widespread and overall loved tho.
So anyway seeing that peacock feather type motif on Pav?? Mixed with his Spiderman identity??? Is so amazing to me.
Krishna coded Pavitr real ✨
(Also yeah people have already pointed out that Pav's hand designs are based on mehendi so I don't need to go into that askjasjkas)
No. 5:
Also. Huge fan of his arm cuffs. It's just another Indian warrior thing; often in ye olde times and in mythology, the cuff would be a lot simpler, often just a thread with an amulet to grant you protection. But it steadily became fancier, and now it can be decorative or a valour thing or both
Very often just decorative now actually. Often seen in weddings and ceremonies too
No. 6:
Okay about his bangles now:
I absolutely LOVE THEM I love them so much I am so obsessed with them actually!!
So. First of all
I remember there being a confusion in like earlier fics especially on whether they were bracelets or damrus or bangles or what
And i have Thoughts
So first of all
They are not damrus/damarus.
Damarus are a musical instrument made of wood and with two beaded ropes to beat on the small drum-like ends. They're also symbols of lord Shiva who uses a damaru.
They are very different from what Pav wears and i remember my fucking whiplash when earlier fics called his bangles damarus. I think i choked on my maggi.
I don't mean to be rude to the writers ofc, they were doing the best with what they knew. But it's just very jarring to me to hear that
I think an explanation I heard was that Pav's web shooter design was inspired by damarus? Which yeah I get that and I actually wanna talk about it bc I very much see it. But they are very much NOT damarus themselves
So
First of all i personally have never seen nor heard of the kind of bangles Pav wears which appear to have a strip of cloth in the middle? While being gold cuffs on both ends? Which is new and interesting actually and opens up aspects abt his character that i find really interesting
Bc first of all: that implies he made them himself from stuff he already had inspired by things he saw. It seems, at least to me, like he used bangles/kadas he had to make the shooters he uses, which are designed the way they are for easier slinging and his cool tricks with them which would be harder if they were solid gold, and also the shape when he does the cool yoyo-y trick and hits The Spot with it and everything is very damaru shape. Which is also pretty cool if it's meant as a reference to Shiva and his damaru (he's a very fierce god with the damaru) or a reference to the street performers who use it nowadays.
Either way - and also additionally the fact that PAV LITERALLY DOUBLED HIS BANGLES AS WEB SHOOTERS WHICH IS SO CREATIVE AND SMART - and developed his own whole signature skillset with it?? And made his own bangle/shooters as I said before????
My boy is PEAK jugaadu
He is the embodiment of jugaad
Never has anything been so true to the Indian spirit than jugaad
Okay so for context, the jugaad that I keep talking about:
It basically means makeshifting and/or inventing stuff you need from the limited stuff you have. That's a very simple way of explaining it. Just imagine that, but up the silliness level x100.
For example, a guy jugaaded a showerhead by poking holes in a sprite bottle and putting a hose in it and routing it to the tap.
Jugaad can be both very smart, and very funny and silly
And it usually involves combining useless stuff/trash/just stuff you had lying around to make smth that you didn't wanna waste money buying, and often ends up having more functions than the stuff it was meant to replace. This but it's also very crackheaded. Like idk how to explain. It's basically makeshifting, but it's just developed into such an Indian Spirit Thing™ that we have a word for it
So i love that Pavitr's bangles do all of that. He is a true Indian boy to his core!
No. 7:
Okay I have thoughts on his dhoti too!
So.
Blue.
I know why they used blue for his dhoti, what with the spiderman colours, the need to complement his bright red with smth softer, and everything. I get it and i love it so so much. What I'm about to say next is not a complaint against this at all, it's very good design imo
But.
Everytime I look at him in his fucking blue dhoti
I just remember all the times my grandmother has apprehended me and made me go and change for trying to wear blue or black at a Puja
Bc they're apparently unholy colours ;_;
Basically yellow, saffron, red are the appropriate holy colours. Now that i think about it, I've never seen a god or mythological king depicted in a blue dhoti or generally blue clothing either - farthest they go from the three i described is pink or green
I never really thought about it until my Nani pointed it out. I'm still not sure if anyone except her even knew or cared about it.
But that is the memory that bonks me on the head every time i Perceive the blue dhoti
Bro upgraded from funeral colour (white, which is his dhoti in the comics and absolutely infuriates me on a visceral level) to unholy colour askaskjjska it's so funny to me
Purple was still a luxurious colour, but generally warmer and/or lighter colours are The Done Thing. It's an old notion and the cultural connotations are now very diluted by Western influence and also none of us Caring about a lot of it anymore (not necessarily a good or bad thing particularly)
Indigo also has. Loaded connotations.
Because Britain did a Colonialism and a lot of Indians suffered for it. It's a whole history lesson.
I would rather not get into the whole details but basically Indigo (the plant from which the dye was made) was a valuable commodity and Britishers essentially forced farmers to grow only that, ignoring their need to grow food or sustenance or care for the land in general, especially in the Bihar-UP regions. There were eventually a lot of revolts where many people, esp farmers, died.
Basically a double whammy of starvation and death as a direct result of colonialism. It was a major part, historically, that sparked rage for the freedom movement
If you wanna learn more abt it you can search up Champaran farmer revolts!
Also about the drape of Pav's dhoti:
I've seen a couple of memes and reels abt how Pav, in an emergency, suiting up for Spiderman duty, would be taking an hour to drape the dhoti and stuff
And those are hilarious and i love them
But also
That's literally not even a proper dhoti -
So the thing pav wears is basically more of dhoti-pants with a cummerbund.
So okay I need to explain this better hold on
A dhoti is basically a sheet of fabric that is draped around the waist and down. The elaborateness of the cloth can vary vastly from intricately patterned silk and brocade, to plain white cotton with a thin gold border optional
The drape of the dhoti varies even more depending on region, occasion, occupation, and status. You can have everything from the casual simple towel like drape and tuck that some men wear to relax on a daily basis, to an intricate thing with many folds and pleats and tucks and the middle part that hangs (I forget the name for that) that would actually legitimately take hours and is often adorned with jewellery . To a thing that's flexible to move in and also looks very pretty and is genderneutral some dance forms call for.
Basically. The drape varies vastly. And it's all one cloth, maybe a second one for a separate cummerbund sometimes, I'm not that well versed abt dhotis tbh.
But the thing Pav wears?? It doesn't seem to me to be folded the way I've ever seen any dhoti
The way it's folded and shaped is not how those style of dhotis work. There would be a lot more pleats and folds, for one. But it's not shaped the way to match the less-folded dhotis either.
Now, I'm no dhoti expert, but that leads me to believe that's not a full on dhoti. What it's more likely to be is dhoti-pants
Dhoti pants are this fusion thing. It's in the name. I haven't seen it much but I know/think/am pretty sure its a thing, bc most Indian guys now don't know how to drape a dhoti either and it's a good solution. Worn like a pant, looks like a dhoti. Simple. A cummerbund for the middle drape, and you're set!
Also side note: the fold with the distinct two legs and the middle drape that Pav has? Is the most commonly depicted warrior and king drape,, at least in North and Middle India, I'm not as well versed about the South but I think it's the case there too. The gods are depicted in that drape too
I have fewer comments on his leg design, I like that it's reminiscent of mehendi even on his feet bc yeah that's also done on the feet, although rarer now and also a bridal thing
No. 7:
He has gold cuffs on his ankles that I really like!
Okay so here's the interesting thing:
I could be wrong, but
But that kind of thick ankle cuff is not actually an Indian thing?? At least not in the warrior hero context that a lot of his design seems based on. At least not of that shape and width.
What we do have though are very simple metal ankle cuffs put on (I think) one ankle of young kids for protection,, again a tradition I'm not very familiar with, it's more localised
The other thing we have that's more interesting tho:
We have payals and ghungroos!!! Which opens up so many exciting prospects to me because those are both dancer things
Like. The payals are ornamental. They are beauty things as well. All women would wear them, their elaborateness and style depending on status, money, and region ofc
They double as dance and performance things too ofc
But ghungroos are specifically dance things
Very very sacred and honoured to the dancers, too. Quite personal
(These are all little bells on the ghungroos btw!! Hundreds of them. They ring out when the dancers dance)
This is what Pav's ankle cuffs most remind me of. It's not the same thing ofc, and idk if the designers were even thinking of this.
But it would be really cool if he was inspired by ghungroos to have cuffs of similar thickness and placement on his legs. Perhaps even familiar to him hmmm?
This is me theorizing HARD to support my headcanon, but combined with Pav's classical dance-n-martial-arts-y moves, i present to you: Pav learning classical dance when he was younger (a thing that a lot of Indian kids do and only a few seriously continue for their lives) is real.
I rest my case
Like yeah it's known at this point that Pav's moves are based a lot off the martial art of kalaripayattu. Which is SO AMAZING AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!! But I also think this would be a cool influence alongside that, bc it really feels visible too.
No. 8:
The fact that Pavitr is barefoot is so so important and dear to me!!!
In Indian culture, you're supposed to take your shoes off as a mark of respect, before entering the ranabhoomi (literal transl: battleground, but not in an actual war with swords and shit ofc)
Being barefoot for pujas and in temples and on sacred ground in general is very important
As is being barefoot when you're walking onto a kabaddi or wrestling ground,, basically any fight that's supposed to be important and/or with honour. It's a respect thing for the opponent and for the earth you fight on.
There are a lot of contexts where being barefoot is important or a given
There's the prayer ground bc it's sacred and holy and you can't be dragging your dirty ass shoes there it's super disrespectful. You gotta enter with clean feet specifically, dirty feet are considered disrespectful too. that's also why there wil often be feet washing areas outside of temples here
Then there's the ranabhoomi that I just said, which is more of respect for your opponent and the earth. Respect to the earth especially is very important in the combat forms and sports I know of at least
Then there's the basic respect and tbh the hygiene thing too, of always taking off your footwear before entering another persons house. That one is more flexible, sometimes you can take it off inside, but the done thing is to take them off outside generally. Especially if you're a guest who's not particularly close. You'd be considered really rude if you didn't take them off at all. But again that still varies by person,, the older generations are way stricter abt it
Then the bride thing,,, it's actually a whole small ritual. The bride and groom will enter the groom's house for the first time,, which is considered the bride's new home bc misogynistic tradition so yeah. But basically it's supposed to be an auspicious beginning to a new home and life. (Btw being barefoot during the wedding ceremony is also generally required)
Usually, at least in North Indian tradition, a small vessel of rice is kept at the threshold that the bride must tip over with her foot when entering. It's for prosperity. Then she steps directly into a plate of a red liquid I forget the word for, but it's basically a sindoor paste type of thing. Her first steps into the house must be taken leaving those red footprints behind. That's for auspicious beginning
So Pavitr being barefoot is so so cool from a cultural and a character building standpoint
He takes his job seriously, he does it with respect and honour!!! He seems so chill and happy go lucky, but he's deliberate and respectful abt it!! And he's super connected to his culture too, bc you could just Not and no one would care, but it's so important that he does!!
So yeah!
That has been my full ramble askjasjkas. If you made it this far, have a cookie! Thank you and I hope this was interesting <33

Critter!Ccino's Café Residents [pt 3] <original deleted>
[pt 1], [pt 2], [pt 3], [pt 4], [pt 5], [pt 6]
ooof, ok, wow, rlly dont wanna rewrite this.
Notes from Ccino:
Smoke came in not too long ago with her sister, Mirror. Silly names, I'm aware, but I didn't choose them. They came from a... mm, not great situation, the injuries they both have were intentional. I just don't understand how someone could be so cruel to an animal? Regardless, it goes without saying that the both of them are rather skittish (Mirror in particular) but Smoke has settled down significantly and is a surprisingly sweet and affectionate cat! She's most certainly Killers favorite and Killer is her favorite as well. Shes my first Norwegian Forest cat, though, and have them around has been a fun new experience now that the medical scares are over.
Notes from Killer:
Ccino won't tell me who did it.
Fucking coward.
Anyways! Smokey girl is the best!!1! Shes soft and cuddly and she doesn't rlly like to seek people out but she relly likes me apparently? ( Bad taste, but i wont tell her what to do :p ) she needs eyedrops in the morning and all her meals are to be givin in the backroom (opposite from felix, obv) with her sister mimi. They both are on prebiotics rn so its better safe than srry, yk? She dosnt rlly like normal treats but she enjoys whole prey items so ive been bringin stuff like dried minnows and she loves that shit ^^ ccinos put me in charge of all her grooming needs cuz she doesn't like being brushed by anyone else, so dont worry about gettin that done, jus lemme know if she looks ratty, k?
Extras:
this entry is shorter and less detailed then the original but im fucking stupid so no use dwelling on that. Thanks for the moral support tho @greyshadow567 💔
ive also been tonning killers writing style down for ease of reading, my screen reader had a fit with Toasts killer-notes and i dont want that on the off chance someone here is visually impaired <3
Side note: was doing research on Ccino in hope of writing him better and found 2 things- 1. Theres not alot of information on Ccino and 2. "Technically, he can be considered the first person Nightmare recruited. This is because he helped Nightmare chase down Neil." - Ccino wiki

Zexion (Sketch / Experimenting w/ style/brush)
Making Kingdom Hearts Stuff Until KH4 Comes Out (Day 90)
This art block of sorts has led me down the route of changing things up a bit. So I decided to try a bush I hadn't used before since I don't usually stray from the ones I use usually. On Sketchbook it's called "Dream Brush"!
I also decided to take a shot at drawing differently than I usually do. It's more like how I did when I was younger, which made me see why I changed that process but it was still fun!
This is also the first time I've officially drawn Zexion apparently. I think the first-first time I made an attempt was a mini doodle of KH characters with one of those expression meme challenges, but it's been so long and they were so tiny that I'm just going to keep that in the drafts LOL
I'll try to draw him (and the other Org characters) properly in the future. I'm already thinking of how I'd draw him differently from this ToT (like eye shape and whatnot). This was testing the waters v-v
(Also happy day 90! I'm ten days off of 100 which is really screaming at me that time is flying ToT)

I absolutely LOVE the way you colour your work!! Would you be willing to show us how you do it/give any tips?
aww tysm!! it's kinda a newer style for me but i can give the rough overview haha
general tips:
-you've heard it a million times, but use references! this style specifically works best as an abstraction of preexisting colors + values, so you'll need a solid starting point to work off of
-keep colorpicking to a minimum (i personally keep my references on a separate device to stop the temptation). you'll never get better at choosing colors if you let the software do it for you all the time, and sussing out your colors manually will improve your color sense
-have a grayscale layer and full saturation layer handy to check your progress. if you can tell what youre looking at in grayscale and it looks sorta 3D, youre on the right track. a saturation filter is mostly a me-thing but i feel like it helps check for cohesion in the palette
-dont be precious. get real loosy-goosy with it; there'll be time to tidy up at the end when you're happy with colors, but for the meantime just zoom out and slap stuff down as you experiment. start big and narrow in from there, because theres a good chance youll change up big areas and undo detail work early on
more in depth/technical process below cut vvv
for references, id recommend using milanote (and to use my friend referral link to give me more space...please... *NOT SPONSORED!! https://www.milanote.com/refer/rcEZd79TldqRGqntPI ) or another tab/app to collect images
here's an example that has nothing to do with starkid lol:
the more the merrier. the colors i used for my starkid pieces were based on screenshots i took from the proshot. references are your friends!!
i use a real scrungly brush called "Fine Brush (Sumi Ink)" in the dogwater app i use (MediBang Paint) that doesnt have great control and helps me loosen up
after i get the lineart down i pick a base color that matches the "tone" im going for (yellow here because it's got a light, happy/jovial vibe), and then get reallyyyyy rough colors by eyeballing my reference (no colorpicking!! go for colors that work relative to the base color). perfection is not the goal here, only a starting point to improve upon

these are pretty drab and uninspired, so at this point i like to analyze the colors i chose by temporarily boosting saturation 100%. after considering how not cohesive magenta, orange, and lime green are, i chose to hit this piece with a low-opacity orange burn layer to unify the palette warmer-ish and bump saturation. layer modes are your friend here, and there will always be one to make your colors more interesting
then i start amending the colors, trying to match the references' relative values and colors but staying w/i the color context ive established (not matching ref exactly, just going cooler/darker/whatever in a similar way but with my colors instead)
ill flip on grayscale constantly and work out self-described problem areas
it's a lot of push and pull until im happy, and after tugging around for a bit ill merge everything and do some global changes with overlay, saturation, burn and sometimes divide layers. i have no process with this besides trial and error tbh
ill have a detail layer overtop usually to fix stuff that i couldnt be bothered with in the lineart stage and thats kinda it? it's really hard to articulate my process 1) because it changes every time i draw and 2) im constantly improving at art and 3) im me and not you and what works for one might not the other
also. i feel like you were asking how i got the painterly look and not the value choices i made? but the truth is i use an angry, scratchy brush and it comes out looking somewhat painterly. so uh go nuts

so a little update (?) after I'm done w midterms and deadlines this week, I'll try to go and curate the missing EAH website games that are yet to be properly archived + upload them to Flashpoint if all goes well
a little list below about how the state of all games are at this moment
So far these are the games that aren't playable yet:
Hat-Tastic Tea Party
Storybook Match
Enchanting Style
A Brush With Destiny
Spring Fairest
while not on this list, Dragon Dash has also been archived on Numuki.
While most of these games have snapshots in the Wayback Machine, I'm gonna use these as a last resource cause I have a harder time extracting files from the WaybackMachine (I'm still a noob at these game preservations thing ;_;)
If anyone has more experience w these sort of stuff, or even better has the full PLAYABLE HTML files of any of these games feel free reaching me out by DMs
update 26-09-24 : so! i found a website that managed to save 4 out of these 5 games (spring fairest, brush with destiny, enchanting style, storybook match)
HTTP's html is still yet to be found on a non wayback machine page.
unfortunately it's a russian site and i don't speak russian so... however it's still a step forward to be able to play these games <3 . With that being said, i'll still try to curate the english versions of these games as best as i can and post them to flashpoint. For now I haven't been able to find any flash games centric site that have any of these stored, but if anyone finds any leads lmk
#b.txt#eah#ever after high#this is not counting the quizzes#i think some were archived but they're not my priority atm

hi broski ummmm what programs do you use for art and what brushes
I use procreate! For lineart/sketching I usually use a slightly modified version of the Shale brush in the default procreate “calligraphy” section- just w/ the streamline feature turned down to zero and more like…size variation? (Idk I modified it a year and a half ago I don’t completely remember what I did lol)
Then for my grayscale comics, like these,
I use this Copic marker brush w/ just straight up black and varying levels of opacity. Usually I don’t use blending brushes in these, but in my most recent one I did.
For my colored stuff tho I use a lotta this pencil brush for everything (shadows, highlights, base flats, etc) and then depending on whether I want something more painterly (like the ocs on the left) or more cell shaded (like stevepop on the right), I either use soft texture brushes or a chalk brush (I cannot for the LIFE of me find where this chalk brush came from?? I’ve been digging but idk I can’t find it outside of my duplicate??) for highlights

Some other brushes/brush sets I use (all of them are free as of rn ‘cuz I’m broke):
Habook Brushpack (specifically the rectangle one- it puts down flat colors nice and fast but also doesn’t annoy me the way most “ink” brushes do!)
Laurenillusrated Brushpack- I use these mainly for skin, they’re really nice. (Also, @laurenillustrated is on tumblr- her art is so pretty, it’s like a storybook istg. Check it out if you haven’t it’s AMAZING)
I’ve recently started using @loish’s brushpack too, and I ADORE these brushes. I used them a TON on the Christine poster. You can get them by signing up for Loish's Digital Art School, which is a great collection of art resources as a whole, and it’s totally free. Would absolutely recommend
And finally, for the halftone texture I like to put on everything, I use the Halftone Hospital Basic Tone Kit. All of their brushes are fantastic, definitely check them out if you like the look of traditional art but also like the lower supply cost of digital art lol. Or just in general, ‘cause they’re great
(Then for the paper texture overlays I love so much, I usually use stock photos tbh.)
Anyhow, these are some of my favorites. But I do use others too, and this all came from years of playing around and finding what I like! I had this phase about…1 1/2-2ish years ago where I hated my art style and nothing was coming out right. It pushed me to try a bunch of different brushes- in retrospect I don’t think the brushes were what made it better, I just improved over time, but I had a lot of fun trying out different brushes. So definitely try ‘em out and experiment, because it really is a fun time :))
(As for my workflow, I talk about that here if you wanna know more about how I draw!)

Hi I just wanna say that I like looking at your blog and I see you tag stuff with art style envy and you need to know that is how I feel about your art. Like, I just wanna eat it and become as good as you. I’m like trying to do a style study but my short attention span has caused me to just eff around with the oil paint brush lol. But yeah, I hope you have a good day/evening. <3
CRYING thank u so much :')) u know i stole those tags from someone i followed way back when i was just getting into posting my own stuff as a way to like. archive my inspiration,, these days it's more just a show of admiration bc tbh i frequently forget that i have this collection to sift through sghjfs
all tht aside i'm so flattered my art is a source of inspiration for u!!! also i must make it known tht i am a huge proponent supporter enabler of fucking around w brushes during style studies bc in my experience ths how u find what u like! i hope u have a great day/evening as well and i wish u all the best in your own artistic journey <33

experimenting today with layer borders/stroke effects to quickly portray high-detail/texture stuff, like this wip still life of a knitting project...! doing better than past times i've tried this tip, i think
it's not very fast, bc i find i have to rly slow down + be intentional abt my lines or it starts looking pretty artificial (u know all those awful "comic book lines" filters in selfie editing apps + stuff? yeah.) but it's still certainly faster than outlining individual stitches
there's already an INCREDIBLE wealth of very nicely crafted shortcut brushes for this kind of thing in the csp assets store, including specifically for knitting stitches etc! but in my experience a lot of those have a pretty clean/crisp art style, and when ur married to very textured/grungy brushes like me, they end up looking very pasted-in or clip-art-y. :') it's such a shame bc i wish i could use all the great stuff that already exists but usually it just doesn't gel w my stuff. (<-guy who needs to learn how to make my OWN brushes)
#wip#sketchbook#process#my art#every day i press my face to the screen and sigh wistfully and wish just a little tiny bit that i had a very clean crisp digital style#JUST bc so many super talented brush makers have created stuff that is like. extremely cool and convenient#but alas. i am in grungy jail#actually now that i think of it i HAVE managed to make some of those outside knitting brushes work before!! in a comic from a year or 2 ago

I really like the way you colour stuff and make it... well, so pretty! How do you manage? Can you share some advice to people like me who struggle with anything but lineart? Because the way you do it is really cool.
thank you so much! coloring/painting is personally my fave part of digital art so it’s always something i really enjoy
a lot of it really is trial and error, finding out what ways you like to color and what you think looks best. find what inspires you. and i know a lot of digital artists may disagree but your brushes really do play a big role—find ones you genuinely like using and feel comfortable with, and don’t be afraid to experiment.
if you’re curious how i personally color, it’s all about layering and building up.

i start with just my flat base colors. the two primary brushes i use for coloring are the Kopik Marker brush and the Flat Square brush. use whatever brushes you like, i love these bc they’re both great for building up colors which is crucial for how i personally paint.

next i had some basic blush on skin just to make it more interesting and warmer. if a character has heavy makeup i’d make sure to add it/touch it up around here too. next i add my shading to the eyes and teeth/mouth. i like to do this right away bc it immediately brings depth to the drawing (and so i don’t forget).

from here we just start building up. i like to start with my darker values first. take advantage of your blending modes (i toggle between multiply, overlay, and hard light just depending on what the piece calls for/what looks best). i like to use deep reds or just warmer colors in general for shading, but again, just personal preference. in some pieces i use cooler colors just bc it’s what it calls for.

then i add my lighter values. since this doodle doesn’t have super strong lighting, i just opted for something subtle. i like to use warmer yellows and oranges for highlights, but as always it just depends on what the piece needs.

then i just repeat this process for any other elements like hair and clothes. i like to start w skin first bc it’s usually the largest part of the drawing and i just think it’s fun.

but we’re not done yet. after this, i go on top of my lineart and start filling in any imperfections and start shaping things more. the color picker is your best friend in this stage, and i just pick and choose what goes where and how things move. i just do what seems most visually interesting, keeping in mind how things contrast. at this stage is when i also go back with lighter colors and add more obvious highlights, especially on things like clothing.
once that part’s done, i put on any effects i may wanna use like gradients, and i also make any adjustments i want to the color and contrast and just make sure the tones are balanced in a way i like (or what i think the piece calls for). i add some noise or any other textures, and i’m done!

this is a very abridged version of my process, and honestly my best advice is just practice and experiment! maybe this helped, maybe it didn’t—this is just how i like to do it—but regardless i’m more than happy to answer any art-related questions or give advice if needed.
making art should be enjoyable above all else, and finding a way to paint that makes it fun for you is crucial. my way of doing things may be a lil tedious to some, but i personally love it. find a process that works best for your style and the way you like to draw.
good luck and happy painting!!
#my art tag#asks#also for this tutorial i used the Flat Square brush but in my last art post i used the Kopik Marker brush so. keep that in mind

So I came from your insta and saw that you improved quite a lot over two years. I’m in an art rut right now and was wondering your tactics for learning to draw different positions and poses? And fabric? I’m just curious since you don’t have speed draws on YT.
oh thank you!
in the past two years, i think what's helped me improve the most is learning the balance of keeping consistency without taking myself too seriously. i find that when i'm in a rut or i feel like i've stagnated, it's bc i'm too in my head and i'm forgetting to have fun. bc yes, technical skill is good to acquire, but creativity is, in my opinion, more important of a priority because that's where the art comes from. the technical skill is just the tool to help the art get made, so hone it, but don't treat it like it's everything. it's no good being able to draw a bunch of cool stuff if you don't have the spoons to draw any of it or if you're so burned out, you can't even come up with ideas.
on the more technical side though, for me, study and practice time are when i focus on repetition so i can build muscle memory. if i'm studying from references (and not feeling lazy lol) i'll draw each ref at least 2 or 3 times to get those reps in, drawing fast and sketchy, just doing as many as i can. this really helps with things you'll draw over and over again like clothing folds. my hand will start to just have a better intuitive sense for the shapes instead of agonizing over each one cuz i've drawn it enough times. when i'm sketching, it helps me to fall back on that muscle memory so i can put more focus to other aspects of whatever it is i'm drawing.
it's about finding a balance really.. if i study too much, i never actually implement the things i learn but if i study too little, then my work stagnates and all looks the same. finding that balance for yourself will go alone way! when i'm in an art block, what i need just really goes back to remembering to enjoy the process and finding that spark again. if i'm not enjoying my art, then i gotta switch something up.
here are some other things i like to do for practice:
redraw screenshots/stills from my fav shows or manga (good way to study poses, anatomy, and scene composition w/o it feeling too serious.)
or pick a show/movie/comic and choose a character i like. draw them 3-5 times, copying the art style to a T then draw them again in my own style to see what elements i wanna take away from it. (again, a good way to study without Studying. i end up leaving the experience with new staples for my art style)
find fashion photo references and draw my ocs in the outfits.
switch up what i'm drawing with. like if i'm mostly draw in pencil, switch to only pen. if i'm doing digital, i put my go-to brushes in a new folder, don't touch them, then sketch with a brush i never reach for. just change one little thing and see how it affects the process. usually i discover something new.
i wrote a list of things i like to draw on the front page of my sketchbook (just stream of consciousness, wrote down like 100 things i like to draw. ex: oranges, apples, snails, leaves.) and when i don't know what to draw, i close my eyes and point to something then draw whatever i comes up.
hope this helps!!

random ahh q but how did u develop ur artstyle? :D
HIYA!!!! oh yeeeesh this is gonna be such a long answer 😭😭 it’ll be under the cut…… but um. warning for old Ashi art HAHAHA it’ll basically just be me guiding you through my gallery from all these years <3 I HOPE IT CAN HELP A LITTLE!!!
old Ashi Art JUMPSCARE
BUT BASICALLY. YEAH! this is me starting digital art in like? 2020 and getting into a3! <3 as you can see. this is my kind of sad attempt at replicating the style ??? you can tell from the way I colored my eyes, hair, and copied the way the hair is drawn!! it’s not OVERLY obvious but if you look you can see that I REAAALLY referenced it. which is kind of a big thing for creating an artstyle
and queue in my art around a year later!! 🤔 kinda more used to drawing the a3! characters (which mind you were the ONLY characters I drew for like. a whole year) and so naturally I adopted the artstyle more into my own art. learnt more about airbrushes would reference the original art a LOT. redrawing really helped me 🙏 once again. lots of referencing and looking at character references. and while I didn’t always redraw it exactly, looking at the character designs themselves made me pick up quirks of the original artstyle to better display the characterization and charm of the characters!!
then 2022 rolls around and I start getting more into proseka. start finding little things about this artstyle that I liked— whether that be finding that out through redrawing the art or trying to replicate the style. started picking up things like the smaller face shapes (as compared to twst and a3! which I was focused on previously) the way they drew the hands, the bodies, etc etc!! along w softer brushes and rendering 🫶
at around the same time I return back to a3! and make attempts at replicating the artstyle (left) or making edits to the predicting art to try and make it blend in (right). as you can tell I start playing around more w hair highlights and the rendering and all that stuff!!! 🤔 sort of like picking up new skills that I missed out on the first time. starting noticing more of the little details
and SO then I returned yet again and begin redrawing a3! cards!!! but you can tell that there’s more of a concrete style w the squisher faces and more experience the rendering 🙏🙏
and I did a LOT of redrawing. 😭😭 a3!’s artstyle is soooo dear to me because it has so much charm despite not being insanely rendered or having too much detail. and I LOVE that. so to try and add it to my own art I redraw and redraw and MIMIC in attempts to gain that exact same energy.
🤔 and though it’s not twst art…… this is when I started replacing the twst style and picking up on it’s quirks, then adopting what I thought was fun about it. most notable the varied opacity rendering. and you might notice that my lineart is more see though!! I MUST SAY!!! THAT WAS JUST BECAUSE OF A LITTLE EXPERIMENT I WANTED TO DO and I enjoyed it SO much that I dropped solid lineart sketching IMMEDIATELY!!!!! I think developing an artstyle is really dependent on you being willing to step away from your “art style” and look at others. maybe try some new things. pick up smth else and try to mimic it, and see what ingredients are used to make that artstyle succeed in the way that it does. between these three images you see such a change because behind the scenes I’m trying all of these different things, and seeing if I like doing them!!
🤔 sorta like….. oh I like this ingredient. so I’m gonna take them and add it to my own food because I like it. if that makes sense?
AND SO YADDAH YADDAH. you follow my blog you know my art and where it is now
A SNEAK PEEK FOR ASHACE ART SINCE YOU READ THROUGH ALL OF THIS….. and like. as you can see my art really is just a mutant combination of all of these things that I like from the artstyles I enjoy. slowly it came together w no rush and I’m sitting here now satisfied with a signature artstyle that everyone can recognize.
!! I REALLY DONT THINK YOU NEED TO WORRY TOO HARD ABOUT HAVING AN ART STYLE especially if you’re a beginning or learning artist still. and don’t think that art styles just come out of nowhere!!! art is a combination of stealing parts of things that you like and putting them together. as all things are 🫶 but yeah!! the Ashi gallery HAHAHA
#if you’re wondering this is most likely why I’m so good at replicating art styles#when you’re constantly looking and drawing fanart you start to pick up things. especially when you draw so close to canon like me HAHAHA#making this post really threw me back….. crazy#who knows maybe I’ll steal smth from eitori next#prob have stolen from some moots too…… tehepero#art styles are reaaaally neat but they take a while to cook#like good soup!!!#hopefully this made sense www#ashi’s asks ♪

do you have any headcanons for the Belcher family?
SORRY IT TOOK ME LIKE 50 YEARS TO ANSWER THIS writers block or whatever. I will give u a few each because i like thinking about these characters :)
bob
he is a big fan of 70s and 80s dad rock music and some queer culture music from that era like freddie mercury and cyndi lauper (that he listened to a decent amount growing up next to a gay bar). when the kids were younger he would sing to them in their highchair etc while he was cooking dinner and dance with them, louise and tina were not huge fans of his music however lol louise ends up enjoying more kpop/alt/punk rock music and tina likes upbeat pop music. gene definitely shares his dads music taste tho!! they go to concerts together when gene is a little older
pete (regular at big bob's diner and owner of the gay bar next door) was bob's first gay crush as a kid. kinda stressful bcuz he was coming of age Directly during the aids crisis and having an older queer male figure in his life really helped. he also had a weird gay situationship with one of his nerdy guy friends from high school and they did some..... experimenting together 👀
he has movie nights w/ each of his kids!! he usually watches hawk and chick movies with louise, western movies with gene (or really stupid high school comedy movies like pitch perfect. at gene's request) and basically Whatever romantic comedy or horsegirl movie of the week that tina chooses. he honestly loves all of them bcuz they remind him of his kids personalities and interests <3 these happen usually three to four times a month and he'll let the kids stay up later (until 10pm or 11pm) to watch with him, but they usually fall asleep on his lap before the end of the movie
he let tina and gene give him makeovers when they were younger with mom's old makeup etc. he mostly did it for their sake but he really did enjoy wearing the nail polish, I think he'd look good in black nail polish if he didnt have to wash his hands 500 times a day working in the restaurant. he's very into the alt rock and roll style and aesthetic in theory if not in actual presentation
in his heart he's a punkrocker in reality he is a middle aged dad wearing old tshirts stained with ketchup
linda
when louise was younger (before she could shower/bathe herself) linda was the ONLY person she'd ever let wash or brush her hair when her ears weren't on. linda still gives louise her (very very) occasional haircuts so that her hair doesn't become TOO unmanageable, and she brushes louise hair sometimes just for fun :) louise is the one she always sings the harry truman song to because louise thought it was funny when she was younger
linda's dad taught her how to ride a bike when she was a kid but by the time that gayle was old enough to learn their dad wasn't really. interested in doing that stuff anymore lol. so linda taught gayle how to ride her bike!!! it didn't go super well and there were lots of bruises and tears involved over a four day period, but it's some of gayle and linda's happiest memories together. linda stepped in a lot for gayle when their parents wouldn't put in the effort
linda was actually involved in A LOT of sports when she was growing up!! she was on the school basketball team and did some soccer and track extracurriculars. she was a bit of a jock and she still enjoys playing sports on the rare occasion she gets the chance w/ one of her kids (but she is sliiightly too compeitive). louise is the only belcher kid who is any good at athletic stuff but she isn't super into team sports. she'll play occasionally with linda at the park though. she's also the only belcher family member who can handle linda's competitive spirit, including bob
tina:
started wearing glasses at like five months old bcuz she's farsighted and genuinely couldnt see ANYTHING lol. there exist very few pictures or videos of her as a baby before she got glasses (her infancy was also somewhat chaotic due to the newly opened restaurant and everything so not a lot of time for photos) when gene and louise find a few in an old photo album its GENUINELY like they found a previously lost artifact from ancient egpyt. they've seen tina without her glasses obvs but this was tina BEFORE her glasses!!!! wow!!!
she enjoys cooking w/ bob even though she isn't a particularly good cook. she's anxious around stoves and other appliances which is most of the problem but she also doesn't have a natural talent for it 😭. she helps bob cook dinner sometimes and when she was younger she helped with cooking a special mother's day breakfast for linda (gene and louise were too little to help out)
tina loves both her parents equally but she prefers spending time w/ bob more than linda bcuz he matches her energy level better. they're both anxious kinda quiet and introverted people (tina obviously got most of her personality from bob) so she just likes hanging out with him and going on errands together. tina has a special place in bob's heart too as his oldest child and his firstborn, so they really do love spending the day together whenever possible
gene
when tina is in high school and gene and louise are still attending wagstaff, gene will take his allowance and take louise out to get ice cream after school at least once a week bcuz there isn't anyone around to tell them not to. they both enjoy the time they spend together <3 louise really misses this ritual when gene goes off to high school but they still do go out for ice cream occasionally. and it's only a few dollars but gene likes feeling like he's providing for louise in some way as a Big Brother and spoiling her (even if she pays for their ice cream days maybe half the time)
gene's seperation anxiety is actually A LOT worse when he's without his sisters than when he's without his parents. he can deal w/ a few nights without his parents there but he genuinely does not like being seperated from his sisters for more than a few hours. it's really hard for him & he worries about them so much. luckily there's rarely any reason for them to be apart, and he's a middle child so he'll always be going to the same school as one of them
he thinks bob gives the best hugs out of everyone in the family :) 2nd place goes to tina. sorry linda
louise
she likes drawing!! she wouldnt call herself an artist and she's not exactly trying to be good at art anyway, but she has her desk w/ her crayons and paper and sometimes she scribbles for fun or to express her feelings. she does this on her schoolwork too which makes ms labonz angry but she will admit louise is pretty funny and good at cartoons
she'll be a HUGE anime and kpop fan when she's older but not like stan twitter kpop fans. she'll unironically take pride in her favorite manga being an underrated cult classic from the 80s underground japan scene or whatever. nobody else in her family 100% gets it but tina will watch naturo and one piece with her even though she finds them a little bit boring and hard to follow. tina likes the anime boys
when she's bored in class she draws tattoos on herself in pen/sharpie and when other kids see what she's doing they want her to draw on their arms too. she charges a quarter for each person she tattoos, and she had a decent business going until the teachers shut it down and warned her about ink posioning. SIGH. she'll probably get real tattoos when she turns 18

Experiment. Wanted to emulate the popular pixiv artists' style. Skipped lines entirely, just blocked out the basic shapes and started rendering w a hard round brush. Did not use blending modes, smudge tools or other stuff for the sake of it, but I'll integrate them in the future.
It's not 100% what I want it to look like but I think it's a decent start. I will continue practicing.

it always amazes me when people are like you need these 300 specific hair products that are all very similar to each other and cost half your rent to even manage your hair but it also equally amazes when people say you dont need to put anything in your hair other than shampoo and conditioner and that anyone who has good hair just does so by??? Fate?? Luck??
like let me preface this by saying i steal all my hair products and so should you cus none of us have money to spend on hair goop
its really about figuring out what your hair needs to retain moisture - thats it, any sort of extra stuff are completely optional or unnecessary especially if youre already taking care of hydrating your hair
its not only completely individual due to hair types but also due to personal preferences, you and your bestie that have the exact same hair texture might hate each others hair products because you may want your hair to air dry light and fluffy with nothing weighing it down so you put 5 drops of argan oil on it and thats all but your friend likes putting on leave in cream that is so thick it feels like a nightmare when your hair is coated in it and the dry time would make you uncomfortable enough youd probably want to wash your hair again
experimenting with products is really not successful unless you already know what youre looking for - it took me a while to find my combo of leave in spray + curl cream + gel cast and then equal parts curl reviver/leave in/seaweed spray for every day i dont wash my hair and want to control the frizz and keep my curls in shape and quickly style my hair before heading out
do i use all those products everyday? fuck no im lazy and i put my hair up if im at home not doing anything, but everyday that i have work/school yea thats my routine spraying a bit of each product in my palm and mixing it together before scrunching my hair into a better looking state that protects my hair tips from drying out and splitting + getting knotted
do i need all those products? no not really and i bet theres many on the market that advertise a one in all solution to use, but i like my 3 products because i can omit different parts if i just need leave in on the dry tips or just need seaweed spray to fix my flat sweaty bangs from sleeping weird, finding out what your hair needs and how you like it best makes it easier to stick to a few things that work for you rather than trying everything!
i kept looking around for a better curl cream for 2 years, one that would hydrate my hair instead of only providing hold but the issue was that i hate leave in conditioner with a passion i couldnt handle it on my hair or the hair strands touching me - until i found an extremely lightweight spray leave in that has the consistency of water - learning to apply it before styling w the curl creams i had amassed in my home in search for hydration cus all of them work great now and it was never about the curl cream it was always about the missing moisture.
everything after you take care of hydration is optional, its optional to style or use a product for styling, its optional to use oil or gel, its optional to wear a bonnet or have silk sheets or a special hair drying towel or special combs or brushes or scalp exfoliators
those are all like whip cream on top of a drink, some people love it some dont - it does and it doesnt affect the drink
i like stylers and gel because curly hair needs a bit more hold to retain corkscrews in a defined shape but i hate oil which most folks with my hair type love, i hate brushes of any type and only use my fingers to comb my hair, i love my bonnet not because it makes my hair still look nice the day after but because i dont drool and chew all over my hair in my sleep now, none of those are a must to have healthy hair ! just hydrate it thats it you dont need 300 products just start with one leave in conditioner you like
