is there a term for like the general [x]p's for pwPDs? like fp, ep/chp, etc ? i swear there was one but i forgor...
I guess? I know this flag and I saw similar flags around such concepts in that blog (@paranoid-and-pretentious). You could also see @pdsarchive, @bpdarchive, and @pdhoard which are specific. Looking through this tag by @radiomogai, I found this coining of person of interest (POI) by @loupgaroualejardin. I guess we just reblogged several flags related to these concepts (which I'm not familiar enough with the macrofamily/umbrella yet) recently, or not. If you found a blog that posts many of such flags, ask them.
@dependencypersonality also used the term archetype, but I'm not sure if it's the same thing it references to. Tag/send it to us if you find.

I thought this was a cute idea, so sorry if I'm piggy backing off your concept, but I wanted to see what they said about Goro [as an ISTJ] and my V [an ESTP]. Here's some key spots I really liked: "You have the potential for a solid connection with this person, although you’re not without your differences. You share an interest in practical, real-world matters, and both of you tend to be straightforward in your communication. You’ll probably get to know each other by sharing facts about your history, your connections to people and institutions, and the communities you belong to, and any shared history will encourage your relationship." "This person likely has a higher energy level than you do, and you may find their enthusiasm overwhelming at times. You may find it important to set boundaries and let them know when you need space and quiet." "The two of you are life’s natural ‘fixers’ and you share a strong belief in the importance of pragmatism and logic. Both of you tend to feel that getting things done and honoring your commitments is the highest possible goal. You both value look for the practical solution to problems, embrace responsibility, and seek to be competent in all things."
"If you find yourself in conflict over what you believe, most of the time, you will each retreat into a logical and objective process of decision-making. While neither of you tend to get especially hurt when one of your beliefs is challenged, you do tend to have a blind spot in considering your personal values and emotional needs. A relationship between two people such as yourselves tends to be very level-headed because neither of you is likely to call attention to feelings. But it sacrifices subtlety and emotional tact. At your worst together, you're all head, and no heart."
I went on an MBTI tangent and started looking at relationships between ISFJs (Valerie) and ISTJs (what I think Goro is) and I'm fdjgdfjgfdg:
You'll [the ISTJ] quickly recognize this person [ISFJ] as a fellow upstanding citizen, a practical sort, and someone you can rely on to get things done properly. While you may disagree on the specifics of things, you share a general interest in pragmatism, process, and correctness. You likely will build rapport by sharing details about your lives, and will feel connected when you discover shared history or commonalities in your life experience.
Be aware that when communicating with this person, your [ISTJ] usual style may come off as overly blunt or even confrontational. Your counterpart pays a lot of attention to the quality of relationships and is constantly monitoring the emotional overtones of any conversation. This means that they are reluctant to say anything controversial or possibly upsetting. You, on the other hand, have a tendency to call it like it is, without too much concern for how people will react. This can create an imbalance in your dynamic, where your Feeling counterpart is desperately trying to maintain emotional harmony while you relentlessly rock the boat.
Both of you are traditionalists and there are many similarities in what you value. You each put faith in the past and trust what has worked for many generations before you. The two of you share an appreciation for the rules and feel comforted, rather than restricted, by institutions and traditions. You are likely to feel a strong connection with this person based on your fundamental similarities in values and approaches. At heart, you are both deeply practical and logical people. You have a strong sense of duty, and will both play your parts as morally upstanding and socially responsible members of your communities. You both embrace responsibility, and seeing your commitments through to completion is an ethical obligation for both of you. It is unlikely that you would carelessly let the other person down.
There’s an opportunity here to introduce one another to new ways of thinking. You both excel in sticking to values that are important to you, but your counterpart can help you understand the emotional consequences of your behavior, while you can help your counterpart lead with the head instead of the heart. The challenge for you is to not get too annoyed if your partner is a little too needy or becomes defensive to the point of passive-aggression if you criticize their habits or beliefs.
You take a similarly orderly approach to life and share an appreciation for schedules, to-do lists, and organizational systems. If you share space, it’s likely to be well organized and tidy. While you may sometimes disagree on exactly how to organize something, you both appreciate the process of creating structure, and will typically enjoy working together to get systems in place. The two of you want to know who and where you are in the world, and you likely will share a fondness for upholding traditions you can respect and value. While you may not share specific hobbies, you both will be concerned with history and tradition and celebrating important rituals like birthdays and anniversaries. For both of you, actions speak louder than words. You enjoy experiences and probably share a mutual interest in activities that will stimulate your senses or your body in some way, whether that’s cooking, bungee jumping or arts and crafts. In fact, you may find that doing things together is a great way to bring you closer.
#this is pretty them#the parts about the ESTP being laid back and wanting to just enjoy life aren't quite true though imo#in my experience many ExTPs are really competitive and aggressive#to the point they almost seem like ExTJs but also completely different because their energy is more passionate and impulsive in comparison

Some people might say that the mbti personalities stereotypes are harmful but for me, it's quite satisfying seeing people who fit in to them while also subverting them in some way. Like seeing an EXTP who is charismatic but somehow still a virgin and can't talk to women, ENFPs who can turn melancholic even though they're the "happy clown friend", ESFPs who even when they fit into the "party people" trope they also can be quite intelligent and get good grades. Also with INTJs when their mysterious masks fall off, EXTJs having a soft spot for cute things and getting a break from being angry and strict, ISFJs who can be extremely nice to have around but conservative and judgemental sometimes...

Genshin Impact Typology
My take on various Genshin Impact characters’ mbti, enneagram, and instinctual variants. Please note that this is based upon Jungian (cognitive function) mbti, not Dichotomous mbti (if you do not know, please look it up), so if you disagree, please disagree based upon Jungian terminology. If you would like me to give reasons for any characters, please let me know.
You’ll notice some types have question marks by them. They indicate the degree of my confidence in those typings. The more question marks, the less confident I am. The types in parentheses indicate other possibilities they could be. The “x” in mbti types indicates that I am unsure of which letter they are (i.e. IxFJ means they can either be an ISFJ or an INFJ). A lack of question marks or parentheses indicates that I am more or less confident in my typing.

Edalyn “Eda” Clawthorne
ESFP

I know most people type her as ExTP, but personally, even though I see arguments for Ti, I saw a lot more Fi.
Dominant Se (Extroverted Sensing) / Inferior Ni (Introverted Intuition)

Eda is very knowledgeable about her outer world, and tends to act immediately on her plans. She is mischievous, and reacts accordingly to situations, but rarely considers the long-term consequences of her actions, indicating low Ni. She takes things day-by-day, jumping from job to job, and improvises based on what information she can find. In the beginning of the show, we see her quickly come up with explanations for each object in the human world with very little time, as a way to sell them to people. Her quick thinking and reaction is how she has been able to move away from Belos’s grasp for so long.
Auxiliary Fi (Introverted Feeling) / Tertiary Te (Extroverted Thinking)

Eda would rather die than conform to the emperor’s coven system. Yet, her distaste for the the coven system is not based on any logical reason, but because she doesn’t want to, and it doesn’t fit who she is as a person. She relies on external information to teach Luz how to be a witch, such as using a map of a witch’s heart, and referencing information she has heard. She also uses this to her advantage when it comes to fighting for her rights. She is very loyal to Luz and King, but not as loyal to external feelings or emotions. She doesn’t open up about her reservations towards them leaving, because she doesn’t feel comfortable sharing her emotions in that way.

I had watched Rebelde in semi one sitting and now I'm sleep-deprived and procrastinating thinking about Luka and Okane dynamics.
The way Luka had no qualms to approach other people to use them or go after what he wants. And the way he had seen singing Okane, and decided to do nothing. He just seemingly immediately gave up on his attraction. No step towards him out of his own initiative. No scheming. Nada. Nothing.
Seemed like other side of his knee-jerk reaction to someone approaching him - making sure they would regret it. Making sure he wouldn't regret it?
And then there is Okane. Pushing other people buttons and then smiling at them as if admiring the result. More or less gleefully curious, difficult to offend, not stopping on the surface level of harsh words. ( such a ExTP?)
Match made in a trashy high school drama. Is it bad that I liked Luka sharing his revenge plan with him and being backstabbing/ plotting partners? They could be a power couple of scheming world.
Ahh, and Okane on one turn being such a chaotic bi , and on the other gifting things that Luka mentioned in passing once, and ready to dish it out for anyone crossing Luka. Feelings.

my notes:
mostly xxtj's for relationships !! definitely works out considered the balanced wings
xxfp's and extp's make such chaotic relationships it's acc wild
birds of a feather...
4's and 4's combined are iffy but they have a lot of potential

IxTJs - Life: Proceed with caution

ExFJs - Life: Heal the world, make it a better place
ExFPs - Life: wOwza, doom

Otto (pre-orb) and Cider circa the late 80s/early 90s? I haven't put together a timeline. Someone get this man a hairbrush please. Mm I am annoyed because Otto is my favorite character (along with Cider) and I cannot draw him in orb form to save my life. Why is he so difficult to draw. This whole concept was funnier in my head.. oh well
Transcriptions below the cut. Also I must infodump about Chipspeech characters' MBTI so that too.
Otto: This human form is limiting
Cider: Otto please calm tf down
Okay it's MBTI time. I go from fandom to fandom finding the weird scientist characters and then I observe them with my little autistic eyeballs. The fact that both Cider (ESTJ) and Otto (INTJ) are high Te makes me (also high Te) very happi because usually scientist characters end up being high Ti. Cider especially because I often find xSTJ science-related characters to be unlikeable and he is decidedly not. I am an ESTJ-adjacent creature and I must scream
My opinions on Chipspeech characters' types:
Cider: ESTJ (TeSiNeFi)
Otto: INTJ (NiTeFiSe)
Dandy: ESTP (SeTiFeNi)
Dee: ISFJ (SiFeTiNe)
Vosim: xxFJ (high Fe)
Bert: ExTP (aux Ti, tert Fe)
Rotten: ENFJ (FeNiSeTi)
Spencer: ESFP (SeFiTeNi)
Lady Parsec: ENTJ (TeNiSeFi)
Sam: idk man, probably on the Ni-Se axis
Pedro: ESFP (SeFiTeNi)
Voder: ISTJ? Maybe? Definitely somewhere on Te-Fi and I think Si-Ne but I'm open to being wrong.
Terminal: ESTJ? He's said his personality is low priority in his system and it's not always running, so idk if he's even really typeable.
One day I might make a post with an in-depth analysis of each character's cognitive functions because every fandom needs a typology nerd that everyone else politely ignores but that'll have to wait until I can actually figure out everyone's stacks in full.
Also obligatory PSA: if you want to take an MBTI test that has a pretty good likelihood of typing you correctly, the best one out there imo is Mistype Investigator, or Jung's Igloo if you want results that are easier to read. 16Personalities is not actually MBTI (Neris is closer to Big 5), and Sakinorva and Keys2Cognition both tend to overestimate Ne so probably avoid them. MBTI is not real science but it's fun to apply to fictional characters, just don't take it too seriously. I feel the need to say all of this because I've had problems in the past where this information would have been useful to have, maybe it'll help someone else. Idk
#Otto's kind of a menace but I respect that about him#Please pay no mind to Cider's box of miscellaneous geometric shapes#I know there are at least three other people out there who like Chipspeech and MBTI because of PDB votes.. are they on Tumblr......#also who put that ENTP vote on Cider's profile >:(#anyways can I just say that Otto is a comedically stereotypical INTJ to the point that it's honestly extremely funny to me#he'd be right at home on r/INTJ (hellhole do not go there) down to the heavy usage of low Fi which he insists he does not have at all#“I have no feelings” no what you have is blindspot Fe. I can see your Fi and I would like to study it#sorry Otto for comparing you to r/INTJ but it had to be said#chipspeech#otto mozer#cidertalk'84#cidertalk84#posts by the bug

People tend to underestimate the power of tertiary Fe in ExTPs but I do not. There's a pull to be social and, most of all, to hold the attention of the crowd, unlike inferior Fe. IxTPs will not be as inclined towards manipulating (not necessarily in the negative sense) the social sphere.

Base!second gen templates that I've used over the years, if you need to develop a kid for your story. :)
ED:
Kids:
xxFJ female: An overachieving, compassionate Rory Gilmore type. May be conventional, or less so.
IxTx female: Snarky and dorky. Likely opinionated. May or may not be athletic. May or may not apply herself (it varies). Varies in social adeptness. May toss some Laurie in there, for fun. :)
xxTP female: Same as above, but less dorky.
xNFx female/male: An artsy Eric, with Donna's passion for reading and writing. May or not be extroverted. May be LGBTQ+.
IxTJ female/male: A Red/Donna combo. Does well in school. Is probably athletic. Donna with a Forman's sense of honor and duty.
INTx male: Awkward and nerdy like Eric, but is more emotionally distant and blunt. May or may not be an avid reader/writer.
JH:
Kids:
ExTP male: Loud wild child. Is often popular at school, but not always. Is fairly rebellious.
ExxP female: Is extroverted like Jackie, but likes to live on the wild side. She's often popular, but in an unconventional way.
xxTP female: Similar to above, but more ambiverted.
ISxJ female/male: Jackie but without her social adeptness. Is painfully awkward.
IxxP female/male: Like Hyde, but with a varied level of emotional awareness. Might be artsy/have different hobbies than her/his dad.
ExFJ female: Sweet!Jackie. May be conventional, or less so.
xxTJ male: A more focused Hyde, with his mom's ambition and dad's rebelliousness.

In my opinion, every xSTJ needs an ExTP to rationally explain how to chill out and blow their steam <3
#mbti#estj#entp#estp#istjs and estjs are prone to be very meticulous and perfectionists#and estps and entps would be there to calmly chill you out and man i appreciate them so much <3#they complement and balance each other so well#istj
