"God gave birds wings, but he didn't forbid them from flying.
He blessed cheetahs with speed, but he never forbad them from outrunning their prey.
He did, however, give humans a brain and insisted that they not use it."
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
2 Corinthians 10:5
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ

If Celebi's name WAS celibacy, that would be an even bigger smash. You ever met someone named Chastity or something? Almost always in the top 1% of horniest people you'll ever meet. Because parents who name thier child after a trait they want out of them will often see the kid in the opposite direction hard. My dead names meant "obedience" and "wonderful son." They got a daughter who holds them in contempt XD
I’m specifically calling out people with these virtue names;
Chasity, faith, hope, amity, mercy, virtue, patience, temperance
You’re all hoes

finally finished the priory of the orange tree after putting it off for like a year, and putting aside the fact that it's insanely boring, way too long, and the romance is lackluster, it certainly was a choice to, in a book at least in part about finding common ground and coming together, basically go "religion a is correct and good and its believers can continue on their merry lives, but religion b is a 100% incorrect wrong bad lie founded by a wrong bad misogynistic lying liar, and everyone who believes in it should convert and in fact we're going to end the book by heavily implying that the recently-converted queen is going to slowly but surely pressure the entire country to convert because their faith is wrong and bad". like that was certainly a decision that samantha shannon made.

People really want to make it a competition.
We got something over something else. Taking things as singular rather than as part of a whole.
I think Larian is very aware of what fans are saying and asking for. They are mostly adding things in that we're missing, or clarifying things that were too ambiguous before. You don't have to agree with it, but it's their prerogative so that their story comes across as much as it can.
I believe everyone else had a change in line when you were high approval when you dismissed them, but Lae'zel didn't, so it was more something to represent a change in relationship than make her 'nice'.
A lot of 'changes' they made to Gale were because his triggers and flags were wrong. It wasn't intended he acted the way he did. They didn't tone him down, they put him back to how he should have been.
There has been nothing added to any character that changes anything significant, they've added some options because the original options were rather all or nothing and no in between.
And so, I think why we haven't seen much of anything for Wyll is because what's needed for him to feel as interactive as the others, is that he needs something NEW to be added in, rather than anything additional, and Larian are probably reluctant to do that when the game's overall story is finished. Wyll's story, as lacking as it is, is still rounded and finished. Wyll could be the prettiest white, blond man, and sure, we'd see more art and shipping, but that wouldn't change the facts on his character story. I don't think Larian would be any quicker to change or add to it because the problem lies elsewhere.
I am just begging people to stop taking things as absolute and in a vacuum when it's very much a case for the opposite. If it's not for you, then you need to examine that, and not call other fans entitled when you're the one that's acting that way.

"God creates the Earth with magic then leaves evidence of evolution so you can have doubts and go to hell.
Now that's love."
As described by believers, God doesn't want you to be intellectually honest, he wants you to be gullible and believe things other than what can be shown to be true. He wants you to lie to yourself. That's what "faith" means.

I'm at the bottom of the ocean
I'm at the bottom of the sea
I don't know if I'll make it back home
I'm just stuck here in a dream
Long gone, long long gone-
[...]
Oh Lord, let me be a good man.
These are selected lyrics from “Bottom of the Sea” by Dhruva Aliman, the original song that Gonta's execution music was sampled from: link
And here are other nice covers/remixes of it, because why not: 1 | 2
Gonta’s questionable execution aside, imo they couldn't have picked a better song as an inspiration for him: both in terms of capturing his mental state by the end of Chapter 4, and in the context of his lifelong Sisyphean struggle for recognition, validation and a sense of belonging. Even in the face of his innate cheerfulness, it eroded his sense of self-worth to a point where he seemed to believe him being inherently worthless was a matter of fact. I say that, because despite all of his active efforts for betterment, Gonta often sure was... weirdly casual in his self-depreciation and the mistreatment he’s dealt with. Even if he still was negatively impacted by it.
And sadly, in the end he was left feeling as if all fears he had about himself were proven right - while in reality it wasn't true at all, and he so didn't deserve to go away in such miserable state, and in such a degrading way. But alas, V3 didn’t pull any punches.
Anyway... yeah. Good song choice.

I feel like I test out believing I can be lovable and desirable through fantasy. obviously I have to believe it or at least entertain the thought of it sometimes to selfship right, or you just...couldn't do it. It's kind of a way I get to experience being a winner for once. winning the big teddy bear. being the main character. microdosing honest, pure and true love.
