Adil Hussain regrets acting in Kabir Singh; calls it “misogynistic” and “embarrassing”
Actor Adil Hussain has sparked fresh conversation around Shahid Kapoor's controversial film Kabir Singh, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. In a recent interview on the YouTube channel AP Podcast, Adil revealed his deep regret for being a part of the movie.
Adil strongly disagreed with the film's message. "It legitimizes male misogyny," he said. "It legitimizes violence... and it glorifies it."
In Kabir Singh, Hussain played the role of Shahid Kapoor's college professor. "I liked the scene I did," Adil admitted, "So I thought the film would be good too." However, watching the final product left him feeling "embarrassed." He even expressed concern about his wife's potential reaction, stating, "She would be so angry if she sees this."

it's truly the tried and tested Doctor Who formula for a showrunner to say "yep we're doing a soft reboot of the show! this is a great opportunity for new viewers to jump on board!" and then immediately pivoting to lore heavy additions and continuing 60 year old character arcs and pulling random plots from obscure 90s novels.

“What is honor compared to a woman's love? What is duty against the feel of a newborn son in your arms, [...] We are only human, and the gods have fashioned us for love. That is our great glory, and our great tragedy.”
