I'm starting to hate undertaker after this chapter,like is he behind all of this? Doing this to innocent children just for the sake of blood? I know he is bad because of the campania and all,but this just pure evil( I really hope he is not behind this and it turns out that someone else is doing all of this)

This was also originally submitted in August of 2023 (sorry!), so it's from many chapters ago.

He and real Ciel do seem to be behind it all, as far as the orphanage is concerned, though what Sebastian says brought the place to his attention was a donor associated with the Aurora Society. I wonder who that is, though it might not matter too much right now -- it's likely someone Undertaker dupes into helping, just like with Stoker, Ada (to an extent), and Heathfield.

It's not just about blood, even though that's what we mostly expected. Now it's blood and organs... and potentially their somewhat malleable souls.

I don't call him evil. Yana-san has said Undertaker isn't the villain. I call him misguided and morally grey.

Tango fucked up. He really fucked up.

Sure it started as a good idea, having Etho to bully was always nice and Bdubs…

Bdubs made his chest fuzzy… it felt nice, okay!

But as he stayed there longer, watched their batter, his thoughts swirled and swirled and just– just–

He was fine, alright? He was perfectly fine. Absolutely still bitter about Last Life. Yeah, that's why he glared the dryad down! Totally not any other reason that could be resolved within seconds.

Tango couldn't though, and it made his head hurt. If this were some other server, everything would be fine. He'd have Bdubs and the tantalizing closeness wouldn't matter because they'd be able to kiss–

“Tango, what are you doing?”

Oh gods, he was staring again, wasn't he. Staring and imagining a different world that couldn't be talked about here.

Tango tries to raise his head quickly, but caught the edge of a jagged stone near his head.

Stupid wildcard. Stupid game.

“Tango!” Bdubs was by his side in an instant, hand on his cheek as the dryad tilted his head. “Judas priest, are you okay?”

Part of Tango's flatlining brain wants to pull a Skizz and flirt back, but Bdubs' hand feels like home and soft grass against his sore skin and he smelt like spring and love and–

Gods, he was head over heels from him.

“Yeah, I'm fine.” Tango groaned.

“No you're not, something's been on your mind.” Bdubs snaps.

He hates the false authority in Bdubs' voice, maybe if he felt better then he'd laugh but just having him there did something to his head.

“I don't want to have this talk in front of Etho, okay?” Tango says as he forces himself away.

“He's a teammate, Tango! And this is a team issue!” Bdubs objected.

“Oh, yeah? When did you start caring about teams, huh?” Tango snaps back as he stands up, a sharp claw pointed to Bdubs' chest. “When you called for my death? When you killed me yourself?”

“I've changed since then, Tango!” Bdubs yells back. “You know this! You saw this! There's something else going on!”

Bdubs reads him too well even as he's backed into a corner.

His fire hasn't kicked up, at least not that much, so he sighs. It was a fake fight to deflect his feelings anyways, he hasn't been that bitter since Limited Life ended.

“If you want me to tell the truth then it's– it's that I missed you… a lot…”

Arms so easily wrap around his neck, pulling him closer as Bdubs lips quirk into a smile. “Is that it, baby? All this for that?”

“Yeah, shut up okay?” Tango laughs softly, but it still sounds bitter. “I just– I miss you, but I know that you're not mine. At least not forever.”

His eyes drag back to Etho– wait, when did he get a mug? Why–

“Of course I'm yours, Tango.” Bdubs makes it sound so easy. “I'm loyal, definitely more loyal than you give me credit for.”

“Yeah, huh? Remember that time with the axe and–”

Bdubs doesn't shove him away like he expects, but his cheeks turn red like he's embarrassed.

“I had a reason, I swear!” Bdubs exclaims. “But, I won't– I'll never do that again! I know my loyalties, I swear!”

“Uh-huh?”

“Mhm.” Bdubs hums. “I'm yours. Etho doesn't matter here.”

It's only then that Tango really realizes that Bdubs is shorter than him. Not by much, but enough that it's honestly kinda funny and–

“Hey, shortstack, wanna kiss and makeout while Etho watches?” Tango laughs lowly.

There's a sputter of enderian noises before Etho is gone. Disappeared from the room in an instant.

There's a second that passes, one where he's not sure if Bdubs will push him off or pull him closer–

Oh, there's lips on his own and he's being dragged against the other man's chest. That's nice.

Based on the fact that Undertaker knows the word "Howdy" (official translation, Vol. 28, Ch. 140, pg. 15) can we assume he's been to the American Southwest at some point in the recent past?

It would be wild for him to have blood collection facilities that far (a recent ask about what UT might be doing in France reminded me) but I wouldn't put it past him. And now I'm kinda hoping for a cowboy/western story arc XD

I think I've answered an ask like this before, but I know I've definitely addressed his use of "howdy" before in at least one post.

Before it became popular in the southern United States, it was already being used in England, particularly in the southern parts.

By the time Undertaker is saying it in ch140, it had been in use in the area for at least a hundred years.

I don't know whether he's ever been to the US, but I doubt he has any blood collection facilities there. And I seriously doubt we will have enough timeline left in the series to return to the US.

Feb 21 - low motives day. Did eventually get up and eat, have meds, get on computer to game a little (more NMS, and my crashing problem has not reoccurred, yay). Baked a loaf of oatmeal molasses bread, too, so at least I got something done despite super-slow start.

Supper was soup from the freezer, and some of the last of the previous loaf of bread.
