i tried for a well thought out post. instead you get this mess that i’m begging you not to twist:

the outraged cries of “cliques” are people being actual friends with each other. the people complaining about certain blogs or creators being on pedestals are usually the same people putting them there. i’m not one to belittle feelings - i understand where the upset is coming from. i even understand my place in it! but at the end of the day, we’re working ourselves up over what? notes? followers? hits on a fic? things based on luck and timing??

i can only speak for myself, but i work a full time job and i’m hard scheduled 45 hours a week. all of my free time goes towards fic writing, because that’s For Me and that’s what’s important for my mental health, and even then, i am usually too exhausted to do that. i would love to read fic and interact more! my to-read list is a mile long! it is just genuinely hard for me to find the time. i prioritize my friends because they are my friends — real, actual people i know beyond tumblr mutualship, who i talk to about more than just fic writing — and even then i am late getting around to it. i’m not saying this as a “woe is me, my life is hard” moment, but moreso trying to offer a perspective that is not even being thought of. and i get it, no one wants to hear it, because you’re frustrated, and being vocal about frustration feels nice (i know, bc here i am)!!

someone is going to come for my throat for making this post as a “big author” and “part of the clique we’re all vagueing” and maybe it’s juuuuust me but like. if you’re that unhappy, log off. if seeing a friend group you’re not part of interacting makes you unhappy, log off. if seeing the engagement other people get on their posts or fic or art makes you unhappy, log off. you cannot force people to interact with you or your creative work, and aggressively posting about it when they don’t is not inviting them to. i am begging you to stop having expectations of people you do not know, because at the end of the day, you’re setting yourself up for disappointment.

i rly didn't want to drag flag discourse onto this acc bc 9 times out of 10 it's stupid and pointless (and also it seems like every queer discourse on this site ends up attracting the worst people on planet earth + being blown out of proportion) but i feel like this is different because it's a genuine problem with the flag in of itself and not with the creator or whatever people get upset with nowadays

i would like to let you all know that these transfem, transmasc, and transneutral flags exclude intersex people

if it doesn't click for you immediately i want you to pay attention to the outermost stripes on the flags. interpretation aside it's kind of clear it's painting a picture of strictly afab transmascs, strictly amab transfems, and strictly afab/amab transneus. which... obviously, besides excluding amab transmascs + afab transfems, also excludes intersex trans people of any kind.

i would offer alt flags to use but there are so many i'm sure just a quick google search will show you tons that aren't linked to assigned sex at birth. obligatory "i'm not forcing you to stop using these flags" but it would also be nice to be accepted in a community that barely acknowledges intersex ppl's existence except when they're using them to prove a point in an argument 💛

Tbh we need to find better hope for the future. It’s there somewhere if we just look! Revolution is incredibly easy to stomp out if everyone only feels depression for the world to come. I can guarantee you there are people who’d be happy to join the cause if their primary view on the matter wasn’t “what’s the point”. Anger is NOT enough to change the world on, you have to have hope for what you’re changing.

My experience with long term RPs is that unless you're super fucking lucky, is that it Dies. it doesnt really get a real ending, it just dies; people just stop being active because they get bored or they get busy or they have better stuff to do (which I can't blame them for). And at that point if you want to give it a proper ending you're gonna have to make some sacrifices. The story's gonna have to be shit, and there's not much anyone can do.

 Like with this one RP I was in, when it ended I was just seriously, deeply dissatisfied with the ending. It sucked bc I loved my character and I loved everyone elses' and I loved hanging out with them OOC, but a lot of people left or couldn't be there enough bc of personal shit and so the ending just had to suffer since so many important characters were no longer available.

 The ending sucked and I loved it and it was horrible and it was beautiful and it wasn't what any of us wanted it to be and it didn't say what we wanted it to say and it didn't end how we wanted it to end. But like if we didn't end it, it would have just rotted in time, doing nothing, forever. And that would've sucked even more than a shitty finale, to see something we put so much time and care and love into just like, sit in some sort of weird limbo forever, never ending but never quite going anywhere either.

Yeah, the ending probably could have been a lot better, and most of us had no control over it (it was up to the host), but we worked with what we were given and I still can't help but love it even for its flaws. Which is how I feel about Wilbur's finale stream kind of? Even if it isn’t really the same as a private chat RP. In a way, for me at least, it was kind of like "Let's have a little fun before it’s over. Even if it won't be perfect."

seeing as december's a day away and that means ~holiday season~- i have a bunch of old binders of various makes & sizes (some idk origin, a few gc2b, anywhere from XS to L?, diff colours/types) that i wld love to give to ppl who need them. i can update this l8r with more details but ig i was wondering if anyone wld be interested or knows anyone in need? id be willing to ship within canada, maybe to the USA for small enough pckg. otherwise i'll just donate to a local binder exchange but i figured this way if anyone is in particular need it's nice to know im directly helping ig!

i have always thought about what cas does in the bunker when dean and sam go to bed and have come to the following conclusions:

he gets bored as SHIT. so he tries to fill all the time with stuff(tm)

he’ll try a million different hobbies to fill the time but nothing sticks for him until he discovers knitting

he immediately hyperfixates on knitting and makes dean, sam, and jack a jumper each (claire has one too that he’s sure she’d be too embarrassed to wear so he buried it at the back of dean’s closet). he also knits a cute little throw blanket for dean that he keeps in the impala to sleep on the road and feel cas’s presence, even when he’s not there.

charlie comes over and sees jack wearing his jumper and immediately commissions cas for one (“they’re adorable! shut up and take my money, cas!”, she says). he is flattered she likes them so much and completes it in like an hour

but cas also does a lot of the cleaning in the bunker. it really helps that he’s telekinetic so it means he can be hoovering in one room and dusting in another while his vessel is doing the dishes. sam always thanks him in the morning and really appreciates the effort

after jack starts sleeping during the day so he can stay up all night with cas, they start having all night movie nights, or board game nights. it’s mostly for jack’s benefit, cause cas loves to see him happy, but he does end up really enjoying them and they both start learning all the cultural references dean makes.

they end up getting really into card games with the standard set of 52 cards, but they also discover uno and get so intense about it dean has to drag himself out of bed to tell them to shut up (he would have brought his gun for extra measure, but he couldn’t handle hearing a gunshot at this time of night). uno is now banned at night time.

For example eruri shipper Levixreader writers. Even in the Hcs/fanfic's they write, they are in every way squeezing their own ship under the guise of "this is not ship discourse" and they write the dynamics of that ship under the name of 'levixreader' in order to show that their ship is canon. And you naively Rb'd them and think that Levi's character is really like that. He's a perpetually angry man, he's a cruel selfish man who hates the weak and who hates the weak and who immediately abandons you because he's weak, who puts his feelings for erbin ahead of his duties 🥺 who puts humanity through hell for erbin. but someone who is a dog and a softy for him and someone who threw S/o out of the window for him. Yes he loves S/o but he would even sacrifice S/o for the landlord whose dog he is 😔 But again keep saying "great Levi fic post 😭".

And that's what I'm talking about when I say don't let them manipulate you, because even one of your recent articles is similar to their writing style. One of your Rb's in particular is a super delulu shipper levixreader writer, and they so much portray Levi as Erwin's lapdog, order dog, loyal dog, someone who never questions whatever action he takes, never wavers in his loyalty, that Cosmic finally had to write them a misleading reply that Levi is not like that Lmaoo. And they are egotistical and self-righteous enough to say "I know better than you" when they see criticism that contradicts their fanon thinking. Man its 2024 and fucking ackerbond has been debunked years ago and even Isayama's dusty old interviews deny it. Yeah, no matter how much I filter eruri, I see exactly that in both Levi tags and Levixreader tags 🙃 and now whenever I want to read fic or browse Levi posts, I have to look at them with hesitation and fear. I don't understand if I should filter Levi directly?

I'm so tired that I would love for Isayama to drop a bombshell that will disprove both the selfshippers and shippers and all their rhetoric, all their Hc's, and leave us all in a big disappointment. For example to give him a really random female partner. Or I would like him to write a characterization where he really doesn't care about everyone and throws them into the fire, where he thinks about himself and his life instead of thinking about them, where he focuses on himself, where he is truly selfish. Then we wouldn't have to see discourses, dramas and fights like "Levi cared about X the most" "He did this and that for X" "Levi doesn't have a canon ship, but if he did it would be X"
