Hello, supreme court jury responsible for overturning Roe v wade. Here is a labour pain simulator strapped to your bodies without your consent. The trap is simple, correct your mistake of overturning this bill or the simulator will be stuck with you until that, on at all times. You have 9 months to do this, or we will take your organs and donate them to people who need it to save their lives. Don't worry, they're non-vital organs so it isn't 'murder'. The operation will be done in an extremely low quality hospital though, which is exactly where most of the poor people affected by this bill will end up going for treatment, and the hygiene here isnt the best so I cant guarentee if you'll live. What, what do you mean its messed up to use someone's organs without their consent even if it's to "save a life"?
Anyway, good luck.

Yeah Babylon 5 definitely has a racism problem with almost every (like, 99% I think) one-off character whose only role is to Cause Problems and Be Blatantly Wrong is a person of color.
And unlike most series I complain about I seriously think this is the only complaint I have so far on the rewatch. I noticed it the first time and I'm not noticing anything else the second time so that's a good thing.
Star Trek: The Next Generation also does this same routine, usually putting Worf in the position of Always Wrong.
I have a post somewhere where I also talked about how Stargate used this strategy of a character Always Being Wrong so that when the guy is literally just saying "hey war crimes are bad maybe we shouldn't do them" everyone points and laughs at how pathetic he is and you're supposed to think he's ridiculous and absurd and not even pay attention to what he's actually saying. (Which is that War Crimes Are Bad And You Shouldn't Do Them)
So yeah Babylon 5 definitely has this problem, but it's the only complaint I have about it.
It treats the other characters of color fine, it doesn't treat women like shit, no one commits genocide or war crimes and we're supposed to cheer it on, it's actively and explicitly antifascist...
And yeah I'm still not fucking over Star Trek claiming to be a utopia and then they still have child abuse that no one thinks is unusual or a crime along with systemic misogyny where women are forced to stay at home and spend their whole lives cleaning up after their husband and children and not able to use any of the technology invented to make their lives easier, as the least violent and disgusting example of any of the misogyny in the Star Trek universe.
Since all the multi-human cast sci-fi shows do this exact same thing I think somebody should make a Sci-Fi show where the main cast is 99% people of color with a few random white characters and then almost everybody around them is also a person of color and then the only time of random other white person enters the scene it's to deliver like maybe one sentence where they are blatantly in the wrong and blatantly being a bigot and everybody hates them.
I can't remember the name of the guy who plays Worf but he should have the leading role.

in the mood to be the perfect service submissive. i want tasks and expectations. cute and comfy outfits to keep Sir satisfied with the way the home looks. maybe these outfits are loose fitting and He can use me as He pleases while I’m going about my tasks. small rewards for each completed task and one big reward once they’re all complete.

god I'm so fucking furious at the removal of Te Reo Māori names from organisations around Aotearoa. it's a complete non-issue, every organisation has the English name directly underneath the Māori name. I have never once as an English speaker been unable to understand what an organisation is for. Winston Peters, the Deputy Prime Minister, who is literally Māori himself, said “Te Papa is a historic name but tell me this waka kotahi, how many boats have you seen going down the road?”. Waka does not just mean canoe. it means vessel, and waka kotahi (the transport agency of Aotearoa) explains this VERY SIMPLY on their official website. waka kotahi means to travel together as one. Can you see how fucking upsetting this is. A Māori person in power who is in agreement about banning his own language, being so cocky about something that he does not even understand due to the suppression of the language of his people. It makes me sick. I've seen reports from Māori people all over Aotearoa speaking out about how upset and furious they are, how decades of progress have been undone in the fight to restore the rights of their people who have for so long been oppressed and have suffered the effects of colonisation. Please share this if you can, I hate knowing how few people will hear about this, I know there is so much injustice in the world right now and it is so exhausting, I know. I love you all, keep it up.

Horror isekai where Perceiving the Weird Eldritch Thing gets you catapulted into a nightmare labyrinth of puzzle-solving.
I.e Those Who Perceive The Hunt of the Goblin King Must Partake In The Labyrinth and Can Only Be Freed If They Complete It In One Day and One Night. By Fae Law. For Reasons.
But the definition of “perception” clearly needs to be updated because some normal guy simply films the Hunt of the Goblin King Behind Arby’s, and puts it on Facebook -
No, not instagram or TikTok, it’s important that it be Facebook -
Because the rules are pretty clear, “the rules are the rules” as is carved ominously in elvish runes above the grim gate, and the Contract is Sealed. and so therefore the guy and 25 of their most random real-life acquaintances must run the gauntlet together. It’s Some Guy, their immediate neighbors, their first partner’s mom, their friends from hobby Facebook groups (oh this poor guy and their hobbies; the elderly birdwatchers from Facebook and the young up-and-coming drag king community), their random teen kid niece, college friends, a dog who also watched the video, a couple consisting of a woman who is the guy’s Facebook friend and showed her husband the video, and the husband doesn’t even know Some Guy, so he’s in the labyrinth and absolutely furious about being forced to be involved, and they proceed to break up over the course of the puzzle.
It’s important that the narrative keeps trying to be a sexy dark horror isekai! but within this the comedic reality of Catherine, 52, the guy’s horse-riding instructor, being passionately involved in escape-room-style puzzle solving and grappling with minor goblins. They are in fact speedrunning the gauntlet.
The Goblin King finally has to say: all right, actually, I only really set all this up to fuck with one (1) guy at a time, thanks for your willingness to participate, but I think all 25 of you can consider the gauntlet fully run.
And the group would be quite hurt by that. The rules are the rules. We have a contract, actually. Let Catherine cook.

Credit not only aggravates the crisis in its capacity as a dissembled means of exchange, it also helps to bring and extend the crisis by transforming all exchange into an extremely complex and artificial mechanism that, having a minimum of metallic money as a real base, is easily disarranged at the slightest occasion.
