#fili and kili take every opportunity to make fun of Thorin

I’m just picturing bilbo talking about courting habit of hobbits to the company (maybe ori was asking questions idk) and he off handily mentions that hobbits court via food.
Cue the company wondering that if them eating his entire pantry and him letting them means something. This increases into an argument wether over whose the better dwarf. (Not that any of them are planning on doing anything but they were trying to figure out how to let Bilbo down and it spiralled into who was the best)
“I have better hair”
“I’m a BETTER FIGHTER”
“Well I can cook, Hobbits like food and lots of it.”
Thorin is silently stewing but can’t say anything. That is until Gandalf says that the courting only counts if the hobbit themselves cooks the food for you and serves you. (He thinks the drama is hilarious and wanted more entertainment)
The entire company then remembers that only only person he technically served was Thorin with the soup he cooked.
This only makes the fighting worse, and makes Thorin more smug. Fili and Kili are outraged
“We’re both royalty and younger and more attractive. What does uncle have that we don’t”
But they use this against him when he’s being rude to bilbo “oh be careful uncle, he might trade you in for a better model”
Balin is overjoyed because bilbo is persuasive and politically smart and doesn’t like gold. Dwalin doesn’t know whether to clown on Thorin or be scared over his future as a royal guard because bilbo is somehow worse than Thorin when it comes to death defining stunts.
The rest of the company still argues up until Thorin and bilbos wedding whether or not bilbo was counting them as well. They also make bets because or course they do.
Gandalf takes great, great pleasure in claiming credit for bringing the couple together but honestly he was just looking for entertainment.

Jealous Heart
———
Requested by my naughty anon “E”, who wanted a needy/jealous smutty Kili. Thank you so much for coming to me for this! It’s been such a pleasure to write and I hope it meets your expectations. I’m honoured to have received this request- my first one ever! Enjoy your possessive and jealous Kili!
Pairing: Kili x female reader
Words: 3,222
Warnings: rated E. Vaginal fingering. M/F intercourse, unprotected. Kili is quite possessive in this.
Kili sat with his back rigid against the cold stone wall, arms folded across his chest, watching Y/N with fire in his eyes.
The tavern was bustling tonight. There was barely enough room to pass through the crowd to get to the bar for another ale, but still all Kili could focus on was you as if you were the only other person in the room.
He wanted you. Bad. But there you were for another night, laughing and being wooed by other patrons in the tavern. Other patrons who were far more suited to you than he could ever be.
The man who was currently stealing your attention, or caught completely under your spell was more like it, was a tall dark-haired man with a full, thick beard. His size towered over your frame, his rugged charm working to bring out your gorgeous smile, and the scene filled Kili with rage and jealousy.
He was a dwarf for pity’s sake, yet here this human sported facial hair that could challenge even Thorin’s kingly beard in all its glory! There was no way he could compete with that.
Kili felt like a disgrace, his mood continuing to fall as he began to pick at the bindings on his boot that was resting up on his knee.
How many times had he imagined you pressing your lips along his stubble-coated jawline, praising him for the intense pleasure he provided, begging him for more? Each time he touched himself it was to thoughts of you, pretending it was your gentle hands tugging on his hardened shaft. Since reclaiming Erebor he’d been with a few women, most of them eager to show their gratitude to one of their heroes, but the only one he really wanted, the only one he longed for, was you.
It seemed as though every other man in town- dwarf, elf or human- was captivated by you and tried for your affection. Who could blame them? You were perfect.
But watching them all set out after you night after night started to take its toll on Kili, the green-eyed monster rearing its ugly head in the depths of his heart.
“You need to make a move, Kili, or Y/N will be long gone before you even have a chance to call for another ale,” his brother said pointedly with a nudge to his shoulder, bringing him out of his thoughts.
He shook his head in defeat, glancing up to watch you throw your head back in laughter. Gods, you were a sight.
“There’s no use, Fili. I mean look at her!” he waved in your direction, your charisma infectious to everyone around you. But his doubt left him as soon as he looked your way again, feeling a rush of urgency to have you, to push away any man who threatened to seize you from his own reach, to claim you as his.
He sighed and looked at his brother beside him who took a long drag from his pipe, regarding you from across the room with an odd expression on his face. It almost looked as though Fili himself was considering making a move on you and the thought made even more anger rise up in Kili.
“Don’t even think about it,” he warned, having seen that same look on Fili’s face before when he was interested in a woman. He wouldn’t think twice about dumping his ale over his brother's head if it came down to it.
“No, no, I wouldn’t,” he assured him, “It just doesn’t seem like she’s actually enjoying herself,” he tipped his head in your direction, his moustache braids wagging with his movements. “You should go and rescue her.”
“You think?”
“Yes! Just go!” Fili gave him a hard push on his back, causing him to almost trip over his own feet as he stood from their table.
Kili took a deep breath before he made his way over, and when he was close enough he noticed a faint tinge of falseness in your eyes, an annoyed expression crossing your face. A feeling of possessiveness came over him now that he knew you weren’t interested in this man’s company, and he found it hard to control his anger.
“Kili! I was wondering when you were going to make your way over to see me!” you exclaimed with enthusiasm the second he joined your side, hoping he would catch the thanks that laced your tone for interrupting your conversation with the man who tried his best to persuade you into his bed each night.
“Y/N,” Kili greeted you shortly, staring up at the man across from you with a venomous look. “Is this man bothering you?”
You couldn’t help but notice how dark his eyes were and you wondered if the young Prince was jealous.
So you decided to have some fun, thinking maybe this was the way to get him to finally admit those feelings for you you always suspected he had.
“Not in the slightest,” you cooed, biting your lip to hold back your smile as his head whipped to look at you, his brows knitted tightly together.
When you saw his reaction, you couldn’t keep your face from splitting at his sheer disbelief that you could have been enjoying yourself. The other man sulked away and you sighed with relief, “I’m kidding! Thank you for coming over, I could only be nice for so long!”
Your hand automatically rested on his forearm, feeling the muscles shift underneath his skin when he clenched his fist, the movement sending a sensation through you that made your breath hitch.
Kili didn’t return your smile though. He looked at your hand that remained on his arm and shook his head slightly as he turned away from you.
“It’s nothing,” he said in a low voice, but you could see through his words. He leaned forward against the bar, forcing you to drop your hand from him, refusing to meet your gaze when you shifted your body to try and face him again.
“Is everything okay?”
“Fine.”
Another lie. You wanted to tell Kili just how badly you wanted him, that there was no way any other man could compare to him. You could sense his unease and longed to erase it with your lips, desperate to admit that anytime you were intimate with anyone it was him who you imagined being with.
Kili glanced over his shoulder, rolling his eyes when they met Fili’s who nodded at him to continue talking to you. He rubbed a hand over his face, strongly considering getting his next pint and heading back to the table without saying another word. There was no way he could muster the strength to push his jealous feelings aside and just tell you he fancied you.
But he was quickly persuaded, feeling the gentle touch of your hand on his shoulder.
“Kili, what’s wrong? You know you can tell me,” you said faintly. Even through the noise of the crowd your voice sang to him clear as day, and he longed to hear what other soft sounds he could coax from your lips.
“I can’t stand seeing you with other men,” he declared, the words leaving his mouth involuntarily as if staring at your lips had him in some sort of trance.
Your eyebrows flew up in shock as you processed his words, making him panic slightly. He reached for his full tankard and turned to leave, but stopped when you spoke.
“Why is that?”
He sighed again and brought himself to face you, looking at you with an unashamed need.
“I want you to be mine.”
You nodded slowly, hoping you heard him correctly over the commotion around you.
You’d had your eye on Kili ever since you were young, and seeing him now as a grown and proud warrior after reclaiming Erebor had you yearning for him even more. The truth was that you were often jealous of how much attention he received from other dams throughout the kingdom, constantly having to listen to them all gush over him. And now he was telling you he wanted you?
Not daring to miss your opportunity, you leaned your body close to his, pulling him toward you by tugging on his coat with one hand, the other moving to wrap around his muscular torso.
“I want you, too, Kili…”
His gaze made you squirm where you stood, his expression enough to break your boldness and make you want to submit to him right then and there.
Before you had any more time to think up the things you wanted him to do to you, Kili grabbed your hand and gave you the cheeky smile that made your heart do flips, spinning on his heel to drag you through the crowd behind him.
“Where are we going?!” you asked, surprised at his sudden ambition.
“Away from all of these people!” he explained over his shoulder, a mischievous look plastered on his face.
The pace of your steps matched his, equally zealous to get away from the crowd and find a quiet spot to be together, but before you even made it out the back door Kili turned toward you and pressed you against the wall, eagerly taking your lips in his.
His hands groped at you while your tongues collided, the warmth of his mouth and body radiating through whatever part of you he touched.
You moaned into him, his large hands pulling at your dress, trying to expose more of your chest to him. Kili’s lips left yours and flew to your neck, kissing a trail down your ticklish skin which made your moans turn to giggles. Just as he drove his thick thigh between your legs to part them someone walked past, interrupting your activities. You both broke out in laughter, unable to believe you were actually fondling each other in the hallway of the busiest tavern in all of Dale.
He attached his lips to yours again in a hurry, backing up to remove you from the wall and pulling you with him. You were stumbling over each other in your search for the exit, bumping into walls before finally crashing against the door that led outside.
You couldn’t get enough of each other and before you even made it around the corner you had successfully torn open his tunic, revealing dark hairs covering his strong chest. Your hands carded over his bare skin and you pushed your tongue deeper in his mouth, ecstatic to be in this moment with him.
You couldn’t help but squeal when he lifted you up and wrapped your legs around his middle, carrying you the rest of the way over to a more secluded area behind the row of buildings.
“Kili, someone could see us!” you worried, but you didn’t truly care, knowing just how much you wanted the dark-haired archer. He placed you down, but you didn’t trust your shaking legs, your arms remaining around his neck for support.
“I know, but I need you, Y/N,” he looked at you with an ache in his eyes and you knew he meant it. “I need you now.”
You tugged at his hair as he consumed your mouth again, his hard cock pressing against the material of your dress which was straining to get through his trousers.
Your fingers fumbled with the laces on them, desperate to feel him in your hand. Teeth nipped at your neck in response to your endeavour, a deep groan leaving his mouth to air over your flushed skin as you reached in and freed his length. You knew he would be impressive in size, but this was more than you were expecting and your thighs squeezed together at the thought of him stretching you.
Your name came out of him with a hiss as you began stroking him, your thumb running small circles on his leaking tip, your touch turning him feral.
He bucked into your hand and attached his lips to yours once more, one hand clutching your waist to pull you closer while his other tore at your neckline to expose your breasts to him.
He parted from you to take the sight of you in, your bare chest heaving in anticipation, nipples taught in the cold, night air.
Kili’s face plunged to your cleavage, his hand squeezing the soft flesh of your breast as he sucked on your peak while he gathered the material of your dress to ruck it up over your hips.
Although you were almost delirious from his actions, you continued to slowly pump his throbbing shaft, pausing only when he glanced up at you with a possessive look. His fingers grazed up your quivering thigh and now lingered against your wet folds, waiting for your consent. You pushed your hips forward, a signal of your need for him to touch you more. He happily complied, plunging a large finger inside your warmth, his thumb finding your swollen bud to circle and press on it. A moan left you and your body shuddered to his touch as he moved his finger in and out of you, then adding another to stretch you further.
“Kili…” you gasped, gripping onto his broad shoulder as you rode his hand while still jerking your own along his length in a steady rhythm.
He removed his fingers from your fluttering folds and gripped around the back of your thigh, pulling your leg up to wrap around his waist. You felt his spongy head press against your wetness and you gasped at the sensation, more than ready to take him in.
“I will make you forget any other man who has ever touched you,” he vowed in a rough tone, and you knew it would be true.
Kili grabbed onto your bum, pulling you closer to his body as he pushed through your entrance. Your head fell back against the wall as you stretched to fit him, thankful for how wet he had made you. But even with the amount of slick that coated your walls, his girth was enough to make you whimper and cry out.
“Am I too big for you, amrâlimê?” he asked in a low, husky voice, his breath tickling beside your ear, still continuing to push deeper into you regardless of your answer.
“No, Kili,” you managed to say through a moan, “Please don’t stop.”
He moved to rest his forehead against yours, placing a gentle kiss on your lips as he bottomed out in you, his hips pressed firmly against yours.
“Good, because I want you to think of me with every step you take tomorrow.” His eyes were black in the moonlight, his words and his stare making you shiver. Kili moved so he was almost all the way out of you, making you miss the fullness he created, but thrusted back into you in one swift motion and you cried out again.
The sound of hips slapping against each other and your combined panting filled the quiet air as he worked to set a tempo, the tip of him contacting your deepest spot with every plunge that sent fire through your veins.
“You’re mine, Y/N,” he declared, increasing his pace, determined to prove it.
You tugged at his hair and nodded in agreement, pulling him closer to you to capture his parted lips once more, eager to have him fulfill his promise.
As much as you didn’t want this to end, you knew neither of you would be able to last long. Feeling every inch of his thick cock slide in and out of you, hitting the perfect spot every time had your head spinning, each pump rubbing his coarse hairs against your swollen clit, getting you closer to your end.
His name fell freely from your raw lips, a mantra to the ecstasy he was giving you, which only brought more inspiration to the Prince.
“Kili…”
“That’s right, say my name,” he begged as he gripped harder on your hip to allow more traction to pound into you with even more force.
In addition to his ferociousness, the things he was saying to you wasn’t helping to prolong your session either. Kili continued spilling possessive proclamations from his mouth any time your lips weren’t locked together, making you feel powerful to have such an effect on him.
“I will be the only man who gets to make you feel this good,” he said hoarsely beside your ear, his intensity somehow increasing.
A cry escaped your lips as you began to climax, your walls clenching tightly around his member, your nails clawing at his back.
“That’s it,” he coaxed you, “let go. Let me have you, ghivashel.”
Allowing your body to give in to what it longed for so desperately, you did just as he told you and let yourself fall, shuddering around him as you came harshly, Kili not holding back as he pounded you over the edge. You felt him pulse inside you, filling you completely with his spend. He growled and with a twitch came down from his own high, your bodies in sync with each other, working as one. His lips met yours again in urgency while he still rocked slightly within you, the thickness and heat of his seed feeling exquisite against your fluttering core.
Kili remained encased by you, enjoying the feeling of you around him as he slowly softened. His forehead pressed against yours as you shared the same breath, and he couldn’t help but relish in the satisfaction of having you. You were his…
“I’ve needed you for so long, Y/N,” he admitted, “I needed to make you mine. I couldn’t bear to watch another man touch you, let alone look at you for another night.” He brushed his nose against yours, his lips moving against yours faintly while he spoke. “I should have done this long ago.”
You gave him an eager nod, “Yes, you should have, Kili. But we can make up for lost time.”
His mouth consumed yours again, a silent agreement that this wouldn’t be the last time he would prove to you that you belonged to him.
After a moment he pulled away from you, breaking the seal on your lips as well as the connection that remained of him inside you. As if feeling the loss immediately, he looked at you with a worried expression and tucked a piece of hair behind your ear.
“Will you stay with me tonight?” he asked you, searching your eyes with a gentleness that contrasted to his earlier passion.
“Of course I will,” you responded with a smile, seeing how your answer instantly brought one to his own face, his brown eyes glowing.
He kissed you sweetly and cupped your cheek with his warm palm, “Thank you. I want to be with you any moment I possibly can.”
Your smile grew at his confession, seeing the love he had for you, your heart swelling at what could come to fruition between you and the Prince.
Now that Kili had you, he knew he could never be without you. He took your hand in his and thanked Mahal as he led you through the night toward Erebor that he was now with his One, the only one he ever needed.

Can I you write something on jealous thorin! I am dying to read something like that... Like Bilbo going somewhere and getting flirted by someone (except elves and dwarves) for example by a normal handsome person. And even Bilbo is attracted and stupified by his elegance and his slender body.
Thank you so much for this prompt!! I love writing a grumpy guy. This one was a lot of fun for me and gave me an opportunity to explore a "during the quest" setting! I hope you enjoy it!
prompt "I do believe our burglar has a type,"
word count 2175
relationship(s) thorin oakenshield/bilbo baggins
character(s) thorin oakenshield, bilbo baggins, the company of thorin oakenshield
additional notes this one was insanely fun for me, that's all I gotta say! I'm LOVING these prompts and ideas you guys are giving me!!
-----
Thorin didn’t like Lake-Town.
Namely, the Master and his greasy little sidekick, but they were given more of a welcome and more accommodation than the bargeman had been able to secure. The sooner they were out of here, the better, but there was still a bit of time before Durin’s Day, and there was no need to camp aimlessly outside of a hidden door.
Celebrations and the promise of riches for all had kept spirits rather high, except for Thorin’s. He had tried to put on a mask, the type that was reserved for social affairs that he hadn’t been a part of since he was a much younger lad. Thankfully this was nothing like the social gatherings that had been held between Erebor and Dale once upon a time.
There was that stench of stale ale in the air, as well as fish, but that seemed to sum up Lake-Town entirely. Thorin sat near the end of one table, tapping his fingers against the wood as his glare seemed to be burning into the back of someone at the second table that housed his company.
Feeling an elbow jam into his own, a scowl formed on his lips as Kili wedged himself to sit at the table, sitting far too close for Thorin’s comfort. “Why the long face, Uncle?” Kili chimed, a small slur to his voice as he had a mug in one hand and the other hugging onto Thorin’s arm. At least the alcohol was keeping the younger dwarf from grimacing every single time he took a step. That shot to Kili’s leg had been bound, but certainly not healed.
“I’m fine,” Thorin insisted with a growl before Fili wedged in on his other side.
“You don’t look fine to me. I know that look. You’re angry.” Fili nearly had a sing-song tone to his voice, but at least he didn’t reek of ale as Kili did.
Another nudge at Thorin’s elbow had the leader of the Company squishing in on himself so that he wasn’t bumping elbows. It was a failed effort.
“Could it be because a certain someone has his attention fixated on someone else? I do believe our burglar has a type,” Fili gave Thorin’s arm a comforting pat, not trying to sound teasing whatsoever. Though the same couldn’t be said for Kili.
“What? Tall, dark, and broody?” Kili sputtered out with a laugh, spilling a quarter of his mug across the table. “Though, I do suppose Uncle could be considered tall for a dwarf!”
Thorin’s face was flushed, be it by both anger as well as embarrassment as he felt his ears burn. He couldn’t let his eyes tear away from Bilbo’s back, or the small nods of fascination that seemed to come from the hobbit as he was engaged in deep conversation with one of the Lake-Town locals.
A tall fellow, dark hair wedged beneath a hat and a beard that surpassed even Thorin’s own. Not that the dwarf was examining this fellow that much, but he was one of the more reasonable fellows to look at in this fisherman’s town. Never before had Thorin been concerned about his appearance, not like this, and yet here he was, idly reaching a hand up towards his shorter beard and scrubbing at the coarser hairs that didn’t measure up to any sign of beauty among dwarves.
“There is a solution in all of this, Uncle. You could just go over there and sweep the burglar off his feet for yourself?” Fili offered up, trying to sound helpful, but he was fixated with a glare that told him to snap his jaw shut.
“I am not bothered if Mister Baggins chooses to socialize during our stay. I will not tell my company who they may or may not speak with.”
“Yeah, but it’s what we do with those we speak with that may capture more of your attention, right?” Kili jammed his elbow into Thorin’s arm again. “Or rather, one specific person. You couldn’t give a whit what Fili or myself do while we’re here, or Dwalin or Nori, but you get my point. However, when it comes to him, you care.”
“I do not care,” Thorin insisted once more, feeling like a tightly sealed vault full of feelings instead of gold.
“All we’re saying is that if you’re waiting for the right moment to make your move, it’s probably now. Or someone is going to beat you to it.” Fili always seemed to be slightly more mature one of the two nephews, but his words were just as unwanted as Kili’s.
“You’re both wretched little creatures and the topic will cease, now.” Thorin’s stern tone seemed to ward off more harassment when it came to Bilbo, save for one parting statement.
“Alright, we’ll sod off, but I gotta say, green just isn’t your color, remember that.” Fili gave Thorin’s shoulder a fond pat before moving to fish his younger brother away from the table with no small amount of difficulty. That wound, accompanied by a few mugs of ale, didn’t make it easy for anyone to toddle off.
Thorin was left to his own devices, tapping his fingers again against the table as he stared and simmered and let the words of his nephews influence that agitation brewing on the inside. Just what did Bilbo find so appealing about this fellow he was chatting and laughing with? What sort of stories could a fisherman in this drab place have to tell? So yes, Thorin was jealous, almost on an embarrassing level. It made him even more agitated to feel this way, but then again, these were feelings that he hadn’t felt before.
Life had been hard and duty-bound for so long, and where Thorin Oakenshield had assumed he had seen it all, he was now being sent into an uncomfortable frenzy over some butterflies in his stomach. It made his insides hurt, but there was a quest to focus on, and the rest could wait until after. A mountain was far more important than his silly little love life. Once he reclaimed his homeland, surpassed the expectations of those around him, and set Erebor back on the path to greatness-
Oh, who was Thorin kidding? Bilbo would be long gone by then.
It made a sinking feeling enter his stomach, tearing at those angry butterflies as he dropped his head some. What was more important? Pining? Or extreme focus on winning a mountain? If he let this go, would Thorin ever truly be focused on the quest at hand?
Swallowing thickly as he lifted his eyes to catch a lingering hand at Bilbo’s back, whatever tentative stare had dared to glance towards Bilbo was snuffed out in favor of a roaring blaze of a glare.
Jolting up from his seat and rounding the table towards the next, Thorin held zero hesitation to land a hand next to where Bilbo was leaning on the table - dreamy eyed and seemingly enamored with this fisherman fellow sitting next to him. “Master Baggins, if you don’t mind I’d like a few moments of your time.” Bright blue eyes darted towards the tall fellow who looked rather perplexed at the sudden dwarf’s appearance. “Alone.”
Bilbo gave a small wave of dismissal, “I best take this conversation, though I appreciate the fine stories you brought. You don’t want to see this one in a bad mood,” Bilbo teased, clearly indicating that Thorin was temperamental and unpleasant and- well, maybe he was right. The hobbit shifted in his seat as he and Thorin were left alone, staring up towards the standing dwarf and looking rather delighted - much to Thorin’s dismay. “What’s so important now, Thorin?”
“I did not expect for you to be such an obvious flirt,” Thorin grumbled, a bit of displeasure to his tone as Bilbo’s face twisted to more surprise than anything.
“Me? Oh, that?” Bilbo had a grin twitching on his lips. “Does that bother you?” Bilbo twisted in his seat, looking over towards the bar where his previous company had sauntered off to. “He is rather attractive, isn’t he? A bit rugged looking, with long locks to die for, and quite a nice beard.” Bilbo rubbed the air around his chin as he was describing said beard, eyes darting to the corners as he barely caught Thorin’s frustration in his sights.
“I suppose.” Thorin hissed between his teeth, shifting in his boots and wondering just how far a chair could sail if he kicked it.
“Though I prefer blue eyes, myself. His were brown, and he wasn’t a dwarf. A moody dwarf, specifically.” Bilbo spoke as he patted the seat next to him. “Do you wish to join me, Thorin Oakenshield?”
Thorin was certain his jaw could hit the floor as he stood there and felt his face heat up. Bilbo looked entirely too content and pleased while he stood there like some red faced fool. “I...I beg your pardon?”
“I was wondering how long it would take you to stomp over here instead of huffing over there. Thorin, if you think you’re subtle, you’re not.” Giving the seat next to him another pat, Bilbo used his free hand to claim the stein before him once more. “You’ve been staring at me all night, and ever since we escaped Mirkwood for that matter, but I wasn’t going to bring that up.” And yet he had.
Thorin stood there dumbstruck for a moment before slowly sinking into the seat next to Bilbo’s own in silence. Gnawing at the inside of his cheeks for a good moment, the dwarf wasn’t entirely sure what to say. Had he truly been that obvious? Thorin thought himself a rather reserved fellow who was decent at schooling his emotions and expressions. Perhaps he wasn’t nearly as good at that craft as he assumed. “And all of this was just for show?” He asked quietly, finally daring to look towards Bilbo at his side with extreme caution.
“Really, Thorin…? Are you truly this dense?” Bilbo’s laugh sadly was not contagious. He was an observant sort, at least for the most part, so as he noticed Thorin’s face turn a touch redder, Bilbo quieted down before nudging Thorin’s arm a bit and dropping his voice. “I simply figured you had enough on your mind without adding myself to the mix.”
Which was exactly what Thorin had planned on. Win the mountain, secure Erebor’s future, and then the rest would follow. Well, as he had told Balin before, plans changed.
“Plus, watching you squirm between your troublesome nephews was rather amusing.” Bilbo grinned proudly.
Thorin’s brows furrowed slightly as he shifted his gaze and felt a little bit of that embarrassment start to flow away from his face, though still rosy cheeked. “You’re as considerate as you are cruel, you know that?” Purposely driving that jealousy to a point where Thorin couldn’t stand it anymore.
“I’ve been called worse,” Bilbo reached up just as Thorin leaned down, latching his hands against both of those braids that lined the sides of Thorin’s head, giving them a small tug before both of them came to a pause at bumping noses and foreheads. “Ah, Thorin?”
“Are you truly wanting to ask me a question right this second?” Thorin murmured, bright blues focusing on the hazel ones that were so incredibly close to his own.
“Well…” Bilbo started before his eyes flickered to the side, which caused Thorin’s own to shift, following Bilbo’s gaze.
A table crowded with dwarves all staring with amusement and all the cheekiness in the world.
Thorin pulled back slightly, fully turning his head to face that company of his with a small sigh escaping his lips, but he didn’t look nearly as put out as one might expect.
“Don’t make me come over there and smash your heads together!” Dwalin barked over the table, earning a chorus of laughter - and even a small huff of amusement from Thorin.
Bright blue eyes shifted to meet hazel eyes once more. “I don’t fancy being entertainment for anyone,” he started while sliding from his seat, “save for you, Master Baggins.”
That low murmur just about sent Bilbo melting into the floorboards as a large hand engulfed his own. “I should have started flirting with others a lot sooner,” Bilbo chuckled before being fixed with a look as he too was slipping from his seat.
“I would be most obliged if you saved your flirting for me. Alone. Away from this miserable audience.”
And boy did he not have to tell Bilbo twice. The hobbit followed one a step or two behind Thorin, one of his smaller hands still gripped in a larger dwarven one, and honestly, propriety and expectations could go hang themselves. Bilbo didn’t give a whit at the groans and catcalls that followed during Thorin and Bilbo’s retreat, but no doubt there would be more conversation to be had in the morning over breakfast...
...Or perhaps second breakfast. Bilbo had a feeling that sleeping in tomorrow may be inevitable.

Say Something
(Or I finally grab my ailing old laptop and decide to write a longer version of the prompt: “Thorin keeps telling Bilbo how much he adores him in Khuzdul and Bilbo does’t know”)
1.  Dwalin has had a long time to get used to Durin-caused bullshit.
Yes, he’s aware he’s ALSO a Durin.  But his Amad was descended from the ruling family of the Broadbeams and he likes to think that he and Balin got the common sense and intelligence that ancient Dwarrow house was known for.  Because Mahal only knew that the Durins didn’t have it.  At all.
Case in point: Thorin falling furry arse over boots for that Hobbit.
So all right, Thorin showed uncommon good sense in that respect.  Bilbo Baggins was a fine cook and the cookies would make any intelligent, self-respecting Dwarf fall on his knees and propose marriage on the spot.
(Okay, Dwalin didn’t, but that was because he took one look at his King and the Hobbit and just knew....)
But did Thorin have to go about the whole business like a complete clotpole?
Hence:
“Mahal’s balls, Thorin, REALLY?” So all right, he was sorry that he’d spewed ale all over poor Kili but the lad should really be better at ducking at dodging at this point.
Thorin’s suspiciously red ears were the real answer but his King had to snarl, “Shut it, Dwalin!”
There had been an argument.  Something something Elrond, pointy-ears, not trusting them, better manners.... whatever.  Master Baggins was apparently not the meek and mild little creature they had all taken him for and it was quite amusing to watch the wee one stand up to their grumpy stormcloud King.
Who apparently found it appropriate to blurt out, in Khuzdul:  “Why are you so confoundedly irritatingly ridiculously ADORABLE, Hobbit?!!”
Master Baggins had no idea what was actually being said, but the Hobbit simply assumed, based from the surly tone, that Thorin was being Disagreeable and Rude.  So he simply put his nose up in the air and responded with:  “Bless and confound you too, Master Dwarf!”  Then followed this up with a magnificently dramatic exit.
He did not see Thorin turn all the way red, nor the way Dwalin reached out to grab him by his collar because his royal Durin cousin was suddenly wobbly at the knees.  Look, Thorin was an idiot, but he was still Dwalin’s king AND idiot.  Durin-caused bullshit, right?
Also, Bilbo did not see or hear Fili grumpily handing a bag of coins to Kili.
All Kili  said in response was:  “Told you so, Fee. Absolute goober.”
2.   About that bet - Fili and Kili were not stupid.
Yes, they were young.  And occasionally made some silly decisions.  But that came with the territory and a little silliness added some fun and excitement to one’s life.
But yes, the brothers both observed their uncle falling for their Hobbit.
The nature of the bet was HOW Thorin would go about wooing the Hobbit.
Fili was of the opinion that Thorin would behave in a manner befitting his status as a King and of the House of Durin.  In short, Thorin Oakenshield would be every brooding, swoon-worthy, romantic hero in those Dwarrow romances that their Amad adored and that Fili claimed he never read (nope nope nope - never - what are you talking about).
Kili knew better.  He knew his Uncle Thorin would be a complete and utter walnut.  A total goober over their Hobbit.
And yes, Bilbo had become “their” Hobbit in very short order.  The sons of Dis knew how to recognize a true treasure when they found it.   So it was easy for them to adopt Bilbo Baggins as part of their family and had no problem telling him so.
Bilbo’s smile, the hugs he bestowed on “you dear, dear lads” and the extra portions of stew with mushrooms that they got for dinner that night, confirmed that it was the right decision.  Also, who knew that mushrooms could be so amazingly delicious?
Bilbo giggled, “I’ll make hobbits of you lads yet.  Or since you’re still dwarves, hmm... maybe dwobbits would be better?”
“Dwobbits?!!” was the exclamation of nearly every member of the company. Because of course they were listening in, the nosy buggers.
“Dwobbits,” Ori said thoughtfully.  “Has a nice ring to it.”  And of course, this immediately went into his journal.
“Dwobbits... that would explain much about the Line of Durin,” Balin mused.  He twinkled at Thorin, whose ears were once again, that tell-tale shade of red.  The erstwhile King of Erebor looked rather gobsmacked, as a matter of fact.  “It has been said that Durin’s beloved was not a Dwarf...”
“Maybe all that hair that should’ve been on your face has gone to your feet, Kili, let me check...”
“Oi! Leave off, Fili!”
“If Mahal and Yavanna would bless us with dwobbits, I would pray that they would all have your beautiful curly hair and your adorable, kissable nose...” Thorin muttered absently in Khuzdul, not seeing the collective facepalming and coin-purse exchanging of the Dwarves close enough to hear him.
Bilbo, not understanding of course, frowned at Thorin, even as he absently separated the squabbling boys, gently cuffing them by the ears.  “It’s a bit rude to be nattering about in a language one can’t understand.”
“No, Master Hobbit, I’m simply coming up with some suitable way to explain to my sister how I’ve finally tricked some poor unsuspecting soul into adopting this pair of scamps.”
“Oi!”
Bilbo calmly handed Thorin his own stew - with a generous helping of mushrooms - and said, “I’m sure you’ll manage, Your Dwobbit Majesty.”
Bilbo was going to learn Khuzdul eventually.  In fact, he was fairly sure that “Irak’Adadith” meant “Hobbit.”  Yavanna knew that Kili and Fili used the word to refer to him often enough.
Also, he was quite proud that he DID get all three royal Durins to enjoy mushrooms.
3.  Nori and Gloin were sensible Dwarves and thus, they mostly contented themselves by running the various betting pools that had sprung up over the romance (yes, Mahal damn it, it WAS a romance and an EPIC one at that) of their King and Hobbit.
Hilariously, it was Bifur who kept winning most of the bets.  It was almost as if the axe in his head granted him some sort of seer-related powers, enough to rival even Oin’s.
And yes, Oin was Gloin’s secret weapon as the canny old healer employed his gifts of selective hearing to gather all the needed information.
“Thorin Oakenshield, WHAT did you just call me?  Bunnanunê? If that means ‘halfling’ - might I remind you, I am a HOBBIT and NOT half of anything, you confounded Dwarf!”
“My tiny treasure, eh?” Oin muttered.  “He’s getting creative with the endearments.”
“Reminds me of my darling mizim and how I wooed her...” Gloin mused.
“Gloin, EVERYTHING reminds you of your darling wife,” said Nori.
“And so what if it does -- !”
Bifur interrupted the argument with a smug grin and a clear request for money.  Yes, he won the bet again.
4.   At this point, Bofur decided to start making toys for any future royal dwobbits.  Bifur was quite, quite sure that Bilbo and Thorin would end up having a tiny, dark-haired and blue-eyed dwobbit at some point.  Maybe there was something to the stories about Hobbits springing up from cabbage patches.  Maybe Bifur really was developing Seer abilities.
In any case, “Uncle Bofur” would be happy to spoil any dwobbits with toys, while also aiding and abetting in mischief.
5.  Look, Bombur did his part in all these shenanigans.  He and Bilbo traded recipes throughout the journey and he was definitely NOT imagining the pink in Bilbo’s cheeks when Bombur gleefully disclosed Thorin’s favorite foods.
He also wasn’t above nudging the odds favorably when Bilbo invariably came up with something new and delicious that Thorin would enjoy.  And yes, he was right there when Thorin inadvertently blurted out an utterly twitterpated marriage proposal to Bilbo that the Hobbit had mistaken for a “thank you.”
“You’re welcome,” Bilbo had said with a sunny smile.  He wasn’t quite sure why Dwalin was suddenly at Thorin’s side at that point, but he did give them both second helpings of dinner.
He did chalk up Dwalin’s hand on Thorin’s collar as some sort of Dwarvish shenanigans (really, Dwalin and Thorin sometimes gave Fili and Kili a run for their money when it came to ridiculous mischief).
Bombur just beamed as he caught the money bags coming his way.  He was actually second runner up to Bifur when it came to the betting.
6.  There was an ongoing argument between Dori and Balin.
Balin was of the opinion that Khuzdul was still their sacred, Mahal-given language, and as such, could not be shared with non-Dwarves.
Dori was of the opinion that Bilbo was a true Dwarf-friend and for Mahal’s sake, SOMEBODY had to do something regarding the truly pathetic pining of their King over his Hobbit.  Yes, it was romantic and adorable but really!
Somebody had to take Bilbo aside and get him to realize what Thorin was really saying, so that their poor king could be put out of his misery.
And anyway, the Consort-to-Be of the King Under the Mountain should really learn Khuzdul.
Of course, Balin was merely stalling, because he loved a good argument and he was storing up all these wonderful, wonderful points because he was a good adviser and wanted to aid Thorin in giving any old, conservative, useless, greedy nobles collective apoplexy.
He also knew that he could count on Dori in throwing any potential threats to Bilbo off the Mountain.
7.  All right, Ori had enough of this insanity.
Really, he was as avid a Storyteller as Bilbo was and he simply couldn’t end this tale of fighting dragons, regaining Erebor, tricking woodland Elves etc. etc. with:  “And our King Under the Mountain was a complete and utter walnut who let his Hobbit go back to his Shire without ever letting him know how much he was loved.  The End.”
Yeah, nope!
So Ori waited and watched for his opportunity and Mahal deigned to bless his efforts.
They were all currently engaged in the tedious work that scribes and historians generally left out of the tales, but were still important in rebuilding Erebor.  The scene was thus - Ori and Bilbo and Thorin Oakenshield and a pile of paperwork that needed to be worked on.
It was most peculiar how Bilbo turned pink as he watched Thorin Oakenshield pull out a pair of spectacles from his pocket and put them on.
“Is there something on my face, ghivashel?”
Oh.  OH.
“Well, yes, there is.  Something.  On your face.”  Bilbo flailed.
“Surely you’ve seen glasses before, amrâlimê,” Thorin teased.
“It is STILL not polite that you keep calling me all these absurd things that you refuse to translate,” Bilbo retorted.
And at that point, Ori was absolutely DONE.  “I think I would like a pot of tea.  Bilbo?”
Bilbo eagerly took the offered “out” and all but pulled Ori out of the room, both of them ignoring Thorin, who was definitely not pouting.  Bilbo did assure the King Under the Mountain that he and Ori would return with tea for him as well.  The not-pout was erased with a brilliant smile.  Bilbo waved weakly at him even as it was Ori’s turn to drag him away.
As soon as they were safely out of earshot, Bilbo slumped against Ori.  “Glasses, Ori.  GLASSES.”
“I know, Bilbo.”
“How does he still look so MAJESTIC and HANDSOME in GLASSES?  This is most unnecessary, Ori.  This is RIDICULOUS.  And why am I telling you all this?  I’ve gone and lost my mind, that’s it.  Mad Baggins, Mad Bilbo Baggins...”
“There, there, Bilbo.  If it helps, he feels EXACTLY the same way about you.”
“Don’t be ridiculous - he’s your King and -- “
“ Amrâlimê means ‘my love,’ Bilbo.”
“What.”
“Ghivashel means ‘treasure of all treasures.’  They’re endearments.  Words of love.  Every last one of them.”
“WHAT.”
Ori smiled.  And anyone else who would have seen the smile on the quiet little Scribe of Thorin Oakenshield’s Company would have called it bright as the sun and terrible as the sea.
“I’m going to teach you Khuzdul, Bilbo Baggins.”
8.  There was something comforting in confessing his love using his mother-tongue.
Thorin Oakenshield was quite resigned to the fact that he had lost any hope of gaining his One’s affections after the whole debacle with the Arkenstone and the dragon sickness.  Yes, apologies were made and yes, the friendship had been mended.
And yet, Thorin was too shamed, too angry at himself to even ask for more.  Bilbo had his home in the Shire, his books, his armchair and the memories of his family.  There was an acorn in his hobbit’s pockets that deserved to be planted at Bag End.
Bilbo deserved all that, his own happily ever after.  Thorin could never be part of that.  He didn’t deserve it.
“I wish you would stay with me forever,”  Thorin said one day, as he and Bilbo sat together by the hearth in the King’s own private rooms.  He smiled as he shaped the words in his language and prepared to give Bilbo some excuse, a chance to banter and tease.
“I want to stay with you forever,” Bilbo suddenly said in near-perfect Khuzdul.  “But you have to tell me why, Thorin Oakenshield.”
Oh, Mahal.  Mahal have mercy on him.
“Please say something... ghivashel.  Amrâlimê.”  His darling Hobbit had turned this enchanting shade of pink and suddenly, Thorin found his words, the right words, at long last.
“Because you’ve had my heart all along, Bilbo Baggins.”
Also, kisses had to be done here.  Because hearing those words from his Hobbit’s lips meant kisses, kisses that were eagerly returned, that had Hobbit hands twining in his hair and Thorin murmured a heartfelt apology as he saw tears gather in Bilbo’s eyes.
“I love you too, you confounded, ridiculous Dwarf.”
9.   Bilbo eventually learned that Fili and Kili had been calling him “Little Uncle” the entire time.  He laughed, he cried and then gave the boys extra helpings of pie for dessert.
A certain Dwobbit with curly dark hair and big blue eyes would always love the stuffed plush dragon that his Uncle Bofur made for him.  Yep, Bifur won the betting pool again.
No, Fili and Kili absolutely did NOT have furry feet.  But yes, they were proud to be Dwobbits of the Line of Durin.
Gloin had to be reminded that the Line of Durin tended to find their Ones in the most unconventional ways.  This was the only logical explanation as to why his darling Gimli would eventually end up married to Thranduil’s son, Mahal save them all.
Many, many generations later, it was said among the Dwarves of Erebor that leaving knitted things and flowers at the feet of the statue of Ori, the Scribe of Thorin Oakenshield’s famed Company, would lead to blessings and luck in love.

Temptation of Regality Part 5: Home Director's Commentary
look at me actually doing this forever later!! i’m sorry this took so long. i decided to do this for the last part because it’s the one that i’m the second-most proud of for this series but doing You’re Here wouldn’t be that exciting cause it was mostly just a crack chapter (that i will defend with my whole soul. anyhoo
In reference to this ask from @bitter-sweet-farmgirl !!!
****
The next morning, you blinked open eyes heavy with sleep. Your head was resting on something firm, and you could hear someone else’s breathing. You rolled to the side, noticing that you were fully on a bed even though you couldn’t remember falling asleep the night before. You sat up and glanced to your other side.
i think the biggest thing for me here was a debate on whether or not it should start from the end of part 4. because i love writing fluff and humor and this was the funniest opportunity, i did!
“Thorin?!”
The dwarf lying next to you shot up at your yell.
“Y/N? What are you doing- Why are we in the same bed?!” His look of alarm was rather amusing, but you were too busy thinking back over the previous night to remember it.
i just have a mental picture of a bed-head, tousled haired, sleepy thorin.
“We didn’t do anything. You got drunk and I brought you up and put you to bed, and I must have fallen asleep next to you.”
“I got drunk?” He looked worried.
i can’t drink and so i don’t know what it’s actually like to be drunk or have a hangover. so this is just my take on it.
“You didn’t do anything embarrassing. You just thought everyone was trying to murder you and hid under a table for a few hours.”
i laughed a lot while writing part 4 and this opening, if you can’t tell.
He still looked embarrassed.
“Seriously, Thorin, that wasn’t the worst thing anyone did last night.” You proceeded to recount Bilbo’s entire handkerchief-related rant, leaving both you and the king crying from laughter.
fair. that was absolutely hilarious. i’m considering writing the whole rant as a a little extra for people. thoughts?
Fili and Kili burst into the room to see you and their uncle falling on top of each other in laughter. Frozen in the doorway at the sight, Fili finally spoke.
oop
“I see things went a little further than expected last night,” he observed with an eyebrow raised.
You quickly leaped off the bed. “I fell asleep here last night, that’s all. Anyways, where were you two all night?”
“We slept in Bilbo’s room.”
Kili nodded. “We wanted to give you two some privacy.”
Thorin threw a pillow at him, and while he scolded his nephews you washed up, emerging several minutes later in your freshly laundered clothes.
“I’m going to go see if Oin will take a look at my leg before we leave.” Seeing the concerned reactions of the three dwarves, you hurried to clarify.
the hurt leg was a tough decision, but i chose it because in part 4 they needed an excuse to go to the inn, because i desperately wanted to write that scene. i knew that Thorin wouldn’t let you go to a town unless it was an absolute emergency and he cares about you and that was really the only way. but i did have to go back and remind myself about the hurt leg, i was constantly forgetting and then writing scenes that definitely wouldn’t have been possible.
“It’s not hurting very much, I just want him to make sure it looks good.”
Three heads nodded in understanding, and you left with a wave.
Weeks later, the fact that your leg was healed was just about the only good thing. After narrowly escaping the goblins, and even more narrowly escaping the orcs, everyone was just about exhausted. Now, on the Carrock breathing in a sigh of relief, you reflected on the last few weeks.
After the night at the inn, Thorin had been colder towards you. You didn’t know why, but it hurt. On the mountain, he had saved Bilbo, and you had watched inside the cave as he checked on every member of the company. Except you.
ok. so i needed to have angst in here but at this point i’d built the relationship up to a certain point where i felt like Thorin couldn’t do anything, and wouldn’t do anything, like insult you or other stuff. which is why i just kinda glossed over a whole lot. maybe someday i’ll go back and write a mini-series exploring that bit more.
He had protected you in goblin-town, but then they all had. It was just his duty to do so. And while the wargs were attacking he hadn’t even spared you a glance, but that you couldn’t exactly blame him for. Still, you had saved several of the company members by boosting them into trees, you would have thought he might have acknowledged you for that.
yeah, Thorin, some acknowledgement would be nice. but in all seriousness, the ignorance was decided on by me thinking about things that would hurt me more than words. and being ignored hurts, and it’s something Thorin would do after being as vulnerable as he was with you at the end of Part 4
And now, watching him hug Bilbo on the Carrock you were jealous. Yes, the hobbit had done amazing things, had saved Thorin, but you wanted Thorin to be hugging you like that. Not to barely acknowledge your presence.
To tell the truth, deep down you wanted him to love you the same way you did him. But if how he had treated you these past weeks was any indication, that would never happen. But you were mad, and the anger clouded your judgment, so you waited until he had finished congratulating the hobbit and stepped forward.
“Y/N-” You cut Dwalin off when he tried to talk as you strode up to the leader.
“Thorin Oakenshield, of all the stupid, reckless, idiotic things to do that was the stupidest, most reckless, most idiotic thing ever.”
and there we go. i was soooo nervous about this confrontation scene that i actually acted it out with myself just to see how my emotions played into it, so that’s how this came to be. i still don’t love the end result, but it’s better than it was.
Everyone looked dumbstruck.
The king looked shocked that anyone was speaking to him that way, and fired back with anger brimming in his eyes. “Y/N, why do you care?”
“You almost died, Thorin! And I love you and the fact that you’ve been so distant lately is tearing me apart, and yet I cannot do anything about it, cannot leave because I care. I was tempted, and I succumbed, and here we are. But I’m just done. If you don’t care then so be it. I can’t go on like this.”
this was so fun to write. i really enjoyed getting to add ‘tempted’ in there, and for me this is a piece of dialogue that i’m so proud of
You strode over to a small rock and sat, head in your hands as you cried. A shuffling sound came close, like footsteps, and you lifted your head to see Thorin standing in front of you. He looked nervous.
“Y/N, I-”
He started speaking and then stopped. It looked as if he was mulling something over in his brain, and you watched as something sparked in his eyes
he needed to have a ‘click’ moment, which took a while for me to come up with but this is it and it think it’s a good one.
He leaned forward, cupping your chin in his hand as he tilted your head up to look him in the eyes.
“If you don’t want me to do this, tell me.”
You stayed silent, gazing up at him, kissing you gently for all of two seconds before suddenly deepening the kiss.
It felt like fireworks.
You tangled your hands through his hair, trying to pull him closer even though there was barely an inch of space between you.
Wolf whistles sounded out around you and you broke apart, flushed, to see the entire company beaming at the two of you from behind Thorin’s back. Except for his nephews, who had their hands over their eyes and were fake gagging.
yesssss Fíli and Kíli always have the appropriate response.
But you only had eyes for one person.
“You love me?” You asked him, hoping beyond hope for the answer he gave.
“Yes. And I’m sorry I’ve been distant. I didn’t want to give you false hope. We’re on a quest, we could die at any moment, but I see now that it’s more important for us to take what time we have.”
You smiled at him. “I love you, Thorin.”
“I love you too, Y/N.”
You stood, and he entwined his fingers with yours as you walked back to the group. You noticed him catch sight of something in the distance, and you walked to the edge of the rock together.
“Erebor.”
this had to end at the Carrock for several reasons. firstly, i wanted room to write a second series continuing this. not sure if i will but at least i have the groundwork. and secondly, because it was important for Thorin to still have a goal, for you to have to continue this quest as a couple and for this story to end with the horizon ahead, for symbolism reasons!
You sucked in a breath as you realized what you were looking at.
“The Lonely Mountain. The last of the great dwarven kingdoms of Middle-Earth,” Gandalf said.
“Our home.” Thorin glanced up at you, squeezing your hand in encouragement.
Looking out into the distance, gazing at your future, you smiled.
“Our home.”
and yay! i was so unsure of how to end this but i still think that’s perfect.
this was a really fun thing to do, i hope it’s what you were asking for and i’m sorry it took so long!

Give me some headcanons for courting Dwalin and Fili ;)
Yay! Ugh, I love them both! ❤︎
Dwalin -
Tumblr media
Dwalin, I feel, would be a little shy in his courtship.
As he got older he got less and less female attention of the romantic persuasion.
Then you came along, strong and delicate, sunshine and rain, and absolutely floored him with your beauty.
He’d be so smitten, feeling like he’s 93 again.
Thorin would 100% make fun of him. So would Balin but in a way that would go over his head.
He’d be so anxious asking you to court him. Poor guy would immediately assume your rejection.
He’d be over the moon when you said yes.
Dwalin isn’t a prince, but know he’d damn well treat you like a princess.
He’s not a man of words, so he’d show you that he loved you by making you breakfast, or making sure your weapons are always sharpened. SAVING YOU HALF OF HIS DESSERTS!!!!
Waking him with kisses bc hell yeah he’d love those
Supporting him when the guard has playful sparring competitions.
He’d absolutely just adore you.
Fili -
Tumblr media
Fili would be so used to female attention it’s unreal. Girls! Be! Thirsty for his prince ass!
Anyway
The moment he saw you his ass would be weak.
The fact that you weren’t falling all over yourself for him was just all the more enticing to him.
But then you were so nice to Kili when he was worried about his looks, and Fili was just like “oh damn.”
Watching you with the little tiny ones, his heart would just melt.
I feel like dwarves are big on the “it takes a village” and spending time with the small ones is highkey on of his favorites.
When he’d finally ask to court you, you’d be so confused and pleasantly surprised.
You couldn’t deny that you liked the blond prince.
He would just love to make you feel beautiful in any way that he can.
Babysitting Thorin’s little one with you!!! His favorite!!
Taking every dumb opportunity possible to dance with you.
He’s so much softer than you’d expect but so strong at the same time.
Like in person he’s all kisses all over your face, but in a fight he’d deadly.
Then he’d come right back, not even bothering with his injuries and kissing you right there.
You’d be so proud of your little warrior.
Him taking the day off, just to spend it with you, hiding away in the garden or a secluded corner of the library
Gossiping about snooty lords and the like. You providing the best fucking commentary of all time.

Fili x Reader: Confession
Tumblr media
You were amazed at the beauty and grace of the dwellers of Rivendell.  Never before had you seen anything like it.  You’d heard of elves in tales and songs, but never imagined you’d see them in person.  Especially with how against the idea Thorin was.
Elrond had graciously allowed the Company to stay.  An odd bunch you were.  A bunch of dwarves, a hobbit, and a woman, and of course Gandalf.  Elrond ensured that you were provided with fresh clothes, a delicious dinner, and sleeping quarters.  You adored the room you stayed in.  The temperature in Rivendell was so warm that your room was half indoors and opened right up to a balcony.  The others preferred to camp outside.  Well, except for Bilbo who took advantage of the opportunity to have his own room as well.
You wandered out onto the balcony, sighing softly.  Being here was like a dream.  The night air was warm and comfortable.  The trees swayed gently in the breeze.  And if you listened carefully, a pleasant elvish song floated through the air.
A knock at the bedroom door stirred you from your peaceful silence.  You glanced over your shoulder, wondering who that could be.
“Come in?” you called, heading back inside.
The door opened, and Fili poked his head in.  Your heart fluttered, and yet there was also a pang in your chest.  Yes, the prince had caught your attention over the course of the journey so far.  You refused to say anything on the matter and keep it to yourself.  After all, a woman and a dwarf prince?  It was probably one of the strangest things you’d ever heard.  Even with these affections blooming, things seemed to change upon entering Rivendell.  Fili was doing an awful lot of sneaking around…
As strange as a woman and dwarf together sounded, an elf and a dwarf sounded even more crazy.  But in your mind, it was more believable.  The elleths here were so beautiful, and it was no secret how Kili was attracted to them.  You figured Fili might share his  brother’s taste in females.
  “Good evening,” he greeted.
“Good evening,” you echoed.  “And what brings you here?”
“Oh, nothing.  Well, I wanted to see you.  I mean, we haven’t had a chance to talk as much since we’ve been here,” he explained.  Yeah, because he and his brother were far too busy with elleths, it seems.
“Yes, well, you seem pretty preoccupied these days,” you mumbled.
  “What?”
“Nothing,” you sighed.  “Just...I saw you the other day.  At the library.  With your brother and an elleth.”
The color drained from his face.  “Oh?”
You grew frustrated.  “Indeed.  You should know that you don’t have to play games with me.  It seemed like we were getting along.  All we ever did was talk on the journey, and now you don’t seem to want to have anything to do with me.  Then, I see you hiding out with an elleth…  I know your uncle doesn’t approve, but you don’t have to be all secretive with me.  If you’d rather spend time with a beautiful elleth than clumsy old me, all you have to do is say so.”  Tears welled up in your eyes, and your gaze fell to the floor in an attempt to hide it.  There was no hiding the way your voice broke into a quiet sob at the end.
“No no,” Fili said, stepping closer to you.  “You misunderstand.  Please don’t cry.  That’s the last thing I ever wanted.”
“Tell me, then.  How have I misunderstood?” you cried.
He stepped even closer.  “The other day at the library… I was following you.”  You met his gaze, and he raised his hands defensively.  “Before you get mad, it was Kili’s idea!  He told me I needed to find the right moment to speak to you about something…  An elleth caught us sneaking around, and she was concerned.  That’s all, I assure you.”
You sniffled.  “Then why have you been avoiding me?”
He cheeks grew red, and he looked at the floor.  “Because I was awfully embarrassed.  I didn’t have the courage to tell you.”
  “Tell me what?”
“That I have very strong feelings for you, ________.”  His voice was low, comforting, but it also sent shivers down your spine.  Fili?  He had feelings for you?
“But….” You shook your head.  “I don’t understand.  They’re beautiful, the elleths here.  They’re more graceful and gentle.  They’re excellent artists and musicians.  I’m a female warrior who is tagging along on this journey.  I don’t have time to make my hair look pretty or to wear nice dresses.”
“________,” he smiled, blue eyes staring deep into yours.  “I think you are so beautiful.  Your hair looks pretty, whether its sticking out every which way first thing in the morning, or soft and combed like it is right now.”  He reached out and twirled a lock.  You look beautiful whether you’re all geared up in armor for the next adventure, or wearing this silky gown the elves gave you.  You’re smart, kind, compassionate.  You came on this journey even when many dwarves would not.  Not to mention you make me laugh.”
You were still crying, but this time it was happy tears.
“I had no idea you felt that way,” you whispered.
“You assumed I shared my brother’s taste in women?” Fili chuckled.  “Elves are pretty, I suppose, in a nature-y sort of way.  Kind of like looking at a flower or a stream.  But you are different.  I really care about you.”
“I care about you too,” you admitted, and he rested his forehead against yours.  A few moments of comfortable silence passed as he pulled you in for an embrace.  “I’m really glad you came to talk to me,” you chuckled.
“Yes, well, Kili kept telling me I was being a chicken.  Plus, my heart was aching so much, I figured I’d have to tell you sooner or later.  I just didn’t know how you’d feel about me.”
“So, I take it Kili approves?”
“Oh, for sure!” Fili laughed.  “You should have seen his face when I first told him about my feelings.  He’s been pestering me to tell you ever since.”
“I’m glad.”  You were relieved that Kili approved since he and Fili were so close.  Plus, you and Kili were pretty good friends too, so it was good that your situation with Fili wouldn’t make things odd between you.  “But...what about your uncle?”
“I suppose we’ll have to tell him eventually,” Fili sighed.  “For now, let’s just...not.”
“With the journey and everything, it’s better that we don’t add one more thing for Thorin to stress about,” you nodded.  “I agree.”
“In the meantime,” he surprised you with a kiss, to which you responded with a gentle kiss back. “Would you do me the honor of accompanying me on a walk to the pond?  It’s quite beautiful.”
You smiled brightly.  “Yes, that sounds fun.”
He took your hand in his, and the two of you began the casual walk, talking and laughing along the way.

4. Journey
When Fili turned 18, dwarftown had the biggest party ever seen. The celebration was for Prince Fili's confirmation as Thorin's heir. Everyone knew that this deal was subject to change once Thorin had his own children (which Fili couldn't wait for), but for now the heavy crown went to Fili. The boy-now man- had been preparing weeks ahead for the ceremony. He would need to show that he would be capable of protecting and feeding his people by slaughtering a wild ram. He would then be dressed in ceremonial clothes to address his subjects about what promises he would keep in his rule. The people would discuss if his promises were worthy, and if they approved, then Fili would be crowned as the king's heir.
Fili had never in his life been more stressed and afraid. There was so much he could get wrong, but he also had so many people to have his back. His uncle inspired him with stories of his own confirmation and the promises he made. His little brother help the best way he could by taking away the tension and providing jovial suggestions. The best help him from his “godmother”; a member of the public.
Fili had been stuck with forming his own speech, wanting to combine the old and the new. Watching him stress, Aria suggested he take notes from the people he would one day rule. Fili tagged along when Aria went on a door to door sale, giving him the opportunity to converse with the people and ask what they would like to see in their lives. The tour was successful and he had enough to try and make his own speech of The Word.
The Durin family, Aria included, held a small private birthday party for Fili the night before his actual birthday; a small token of peace before his life became hectic as a crown prince. They shared stories from the past, played games and sang songs, and had a merry good time. The boys went to bed early to prep for a long day tomorrow and a guard walked Aria home. Thorin stayed up, looking over the outfits he had made for Fili’s confirmation. There was no Mithril in the blue Mountains, so Thorin had done his best to find the next best thing to use for an armor for his nephew. Aria, in charge of the catering for the next day, stayed up all night to make sure everything was top notch.
The confirmation day went without a hitch. Early morning, Fili was dressed by his uncle in the special armor. Thorin give him a heart to heart and sent him out to the ring to slaughter the ram. Brave and swift, Fili  beheaded the stampeding wild sheep, earning its head as a trophy while the meat was taken to be cooked for the celebration. Next, Fili took a bath and then was dressed royally by his family, each member getting to put on a piece of the royal outfit. They left him with encouraging words, and went to join the common people before Fili addressed the crowd. He gathered his wits and walked out to the balcony, kindly looking down at the people before him.
He cleared his throat and began his speech, momentarily locking eyes with his uncle to make sure he was doing it right. Thorin always smiled and nodded, encouraging his nephew to continue. The speech ended with Fili’s bow and he went back inside while the people debated. Of course Thorin had the ultimate say, he wanted his people to approve of their next king. The jury came to a decision and Balin went inside to collect Fili. The two appeared back out on the balcony and after an agonizing pause, Balin introduced Fili as the crown prince, heir to Thorin.
The crowd erupted in cheer and the party officially began. Fili ran outside to join his family, greeting his uncle first. Kili and Aria bowed to the crown prince but he waved it off and hugged them together. The boys dragged Aria out to the dance floor while Thorin stood watching with the older dwarves. Later he lead the toast and gifted Fili the ram head trophy before everyone had dinner. It was almost the next day by the time the party came to an end.
The confirmation was some months behind them when Thorin got a consignment from Bree. Thorin packed his stuff and left the boys in Aria’s care, making them promise not to be trouble. By now the boys weren’t so little anymore; at 18 and 16, Fili and Kili were itching for adventure. For now, they made work by staging fights with each other or whoever else they could rope in. Dwalin was always game, and happily kept the boys busy with sword fights. Not even the rain could keep them indoors. Of course once inside, they found ways to keep entertained, such as tossing the dishes around and drinking ale when they could get their hands on it.
The brothers had also picked up a knack for flirting with dwarrows, something Fili enjoyed very much. In good fun, of course. Their uncle on the other hand couldn’t be bothered. Almost every eligible dwarrow had offered herself to the king, or parents had offered their daughters’ hands in marriage, but Thorin never got the hint. He did develop a nervous friendship with Aria, and his council subtly encouraged him to pursue her whenever the opportunity arose. But with the town baker, the king found himself tongue twisted, managing nothing more to talk about other than the boys or the town.
Things changed when Thorin returned from Bree. Everything changed; even the air. It was as if the rain had brought in a new day. Fili and Kili were over at Aria’s house when Thorin returned. Instead of picking them up, Thorin stormed home and gathered his council. The meeting went on till late in the night, and it wasn’t till everyone had left that Thorin remembered the boys. He swore the dwarves to secrecy, even from Fili and Kili, then went over to Aria’s house. The boys cheerfully welcomed them home, but were more excited about the gifts he’d brought for them. Aria held them all back till they’d had dinner before she let them out with their new weapons, leaving the grownups alone inside.
“Did something happen in Bree?” Aria asked as she brought some sugared buns over to the couch.
Aria’s words brought Thorin back to attention. “Huh? What makes you ask that?”
“You’ve been distracted all night. Sometimes I catch you muttering something.” Aria finally rested on the couch, sitting next to him but not close enough. “And I heard you’ve been back all morning, and only now you remember us.” She teased him with a brow.
Thorin half smiled softly. “I could never forget you.”
“Oh? I thought you’d forgotten with that load on your mind. Would you like to share, rest easy? I promise not to tell.”
Thorin sighed and stared at the window for a long minute, considering the boys.
“I don’t know what I’m going to do, but I don’t want the boys to know yet.” He sighed again and turned back to her. “I met a wizard in Bree; Gandalf the Grey.”
Aria reached for a bun from the table then reclined back. “Ooh! That’s nice. They’re always interesting, wizards.”
“This one had quite the trick. He says it’s time.”
“For...?”
“Time to go home. To Erebor.”
Aria was speechless. “Wow.”
“He says the dragon hasn’t been seen in 60 years, and the birds are returning to the mountain.”
“Hopeful signs for certain. What are you so unsure of?” Aria went for another sweet bun and offered it to Thorin.
“It’s been a while since we’ve been back there. We were different then, and we’re different now. And there was a reason that the dragon came. The dragon sickness they called it. The gold is cursed. My grandfather fell to it.”
“But you’re not your grandfather, are you?”
It was Thorin’s turn to be silent.
“What draws you back to Erebor; gold, or home?”
“What would all the gold in the world mean if we don’t have a home? Fili and Kili, live separated from their birth mother. They’ve never once seen the home that they rightfully deserve. They’re princes, heirs of Durin. Yet they are provided no luxury of it. I will see them in Erebor even if I never get to it myself.”
Aria smiled at his love for his nephews. “How will you get there? Do you know your way back?”
Thorin sat straight and produced a scroll from his jacket, unrolling it on the table to reveal the map of Arda. Aria shuffled closer to take a better look.
“Mahal! This is...”
“The map. To the lonely mountain. A forgery of it, anyway.”
Aria ran her hand over the drawing of her kingdom. Thorin watched her curiously.
“You know, I don’t think I remember when I was in Erebor. I was so little.”
“It’s the greatest dwarf kingdom in all of middle Earth. Valleys and tunnels and chambers anywhere you look. The roof shines at night, with the light of all its gems and stones.”
“Sounds beautiful.”
“It is.” Aria didn’t notice Thorin looking at her.
“So when do you leave?” Aria asked, finally reclining back.
“Tomorrow.”
“And Fili and Kili. They will... go with you?”
Thorin pitied her for her concern. “I don’t think there’s a force strong enough on Arda to keep them back.”
“You will watch over them, won’t you? Keep them safe?”
“Of course I will! They’ll have to go over my dead body before I let those monsters close to my boys.”
While Thorin was passionate about the safety of his sons, Aria found the wrong opportunity to laugh.
“You think it’s funny?”
“No! Not ever!” She giggled, “I’m sorry, I couldn’t take you seriously with the dust on your mouth.”
“Dus- wha?”
Before he knew what was happening, Aria’s hand jut out to his face, her fingers brushing off the sugar dust off his beard. Apparently, it had been instinctive on her part, as she froze once she realized what she was doing. Aria’s fingers rested dangerously close to Thorin’s mouth and, caught in a daze, he sucked the tips into his mouth. Aria drew in a sharp breath, bringing attention back into Thorin’s mind, but he didn’t want to pull away. In truth, he wanted to pull her even closer. Without breaking eye contact, Thorin tentatively grabbed her hand, releasing her fingers from his mouth to put them on his cheek. Aria reflexively came closer, her other hand sitting on Thorin’s chest. A coil broke in his mind and Thorin suddenly leaned over Aria until she was laying on her back. He felt her body rise and fall underneath his, dangerously tempting him. Her eyes glittered brighter than the Arkenstone, calling him closer.
“Thorin,” Aria breathed his name and he lowered his face, reaching closer and closer to kissing her. His lips were a breath away from hers, feeling wet warmth coming from her mouth. Half a second more and he’d kiss her, his mouth on hers and
“Thorin!”
“Uncle Thorin!”
Thorin instantly let go of Aria and sat up, jumping off the couch. Aria too sat up immediately, breathless over what had almost happened. A second later, the boys ran into the room.
“Uncle Thorin, what would be your weapon of choice in battle, a bow or a sword?”
“Fili says bla bla bla But I think blah blah blah.”
Thorin couldn’t here properly with the blood rushing in his head.
“Boys! There are benefits to both. And we’ll need them both. It’s late, we should go home.” He didn’t wait and stormed past them to the door.
Kili and Fili looked between them and shrugged. Aria had stood up by the time.
“You boys get some sleep now, long days ahead.”
She kissed them both in turn and sent them off running home. She closed the door behind them and pressed herself against it. Oh Mahal! She had a lot to bake.

Kili
Thorin declared it was more comfortable for us to stay outside for the night rather within the walls of our 'enemies'. As a fire was started we all started to settle in, some smoking from pipes. Gandalf disappeared into the walls, leaving Bilbo looking somewhat uncomfortable with us. Laurel had still yet to return from when she left us earlier. It had been hours, and I began to worry.
Fili and I found a spot near the trees away from the fire to place our things and make an area to sleep. We did not want to tear up the grass or weeds in the clearing, because it would surely upset the elves. Instead we used some of our spare clothing as pillows.
"Oh Ori, that is a great drawing!"
Laurel's voice perked my interested, she had returned. The elves had given her a smaller thinner green tunic and smaller thinner brown pants. All of which that fit quite nicely, shaping against her curves. Across her chest she adorned a brown leather vest lined with pockets that trailed down her abdomen; and made her chest more prominent. One arm was covered with a silver cuff to protect her wrist up to her elbow, while her other hand was covered partially with an archer's glove. Across her back was a brown worked bow and on her hip was a leather quiver of arrows. Slung to one side was a bag just barely hiding a long sword scabbard.
She was dressed as if she were prepared for this adventure, and she looked marvelous.
As I approached I could see that Ori had shown her the drawing that he made while she was sleeping the first day. It was not perfect, but it was a good drawing none the less.
"There you are," I stated, "I was starting to think that they had taken you and refused to return."
"Kili! Look at all the things they gave me," she smiled radiantly. Everyone started to gather around to see.
"They gave me a bow and arrows, dagger, sword, something to store water, clothing, a bag, and herbs for healing. One gave me a book to look from to study so that I can help while we are journeying," she showed each thing as she said it. "That is why I took so long. It's all in elvish so I had to have it read to me and write in English so that I can read it later." It was truly amazing that they had willingly given her all these things without anything in return. Then again maybe they were trying to make her feel comfortable in a world she is not familiar with.
"Well, I say we celebrate," Nori exclaimed.
"Celebrate what," Fili asked.
"For escaping enemies and death twice since we started this quest! One thanks to the lass, and another to Radagast and all our great fighters!"
At once everyone yelled together. In moments flutes and lutes were taken out, some playing while others started to smoke from pipes. Bofur produced a barrel of wine that was given to us, passing out goblets. I grabbed two myself and filled each up, handing one to Laurel and taking a deep drink myself.
"Here," I took her weapons and bag, handing her the wine, "take a sip. I will put your things down and then we will dance!"
After putting her items down next to Fili and I's things, I returned finishing off my goblet and lightly tossing the cup to the ground. Laurel was still sipping from hers. "Let me finish this and take off my shoes," she smirked. Tossing the cup up, she downed the rest, setting it upon the ground. The brown leather boots she was given were tossed aside, and I snatched her quickly.
Each of the dwarves that were up and dancing were flinging Laurel back and forth between the lot of us. Even Bilbo cut in and started to dance merrily as well. It was a splendid time of fun and laughs. Laurel snuck away for a moment, gasping and smiling alike.
"It's too hot," she laughed. I watched as her rustic hair cascaded down her back to tickle her buttocks. It was sheen with sweat.
"Would you like me to braid your hair for you," I murmured taking a step forward. "It looks awfully bothersome."
"You want to braid my hair," she asked in a light laugh.
With a step forward I grabbed her hand, pulling her with me to where our things were. "Go ahead, sit," I urged. Again she laughed, making my heart light with warmth. I sat behind her and dug through my sack for the comb I kept and some extra braid clasps for on the occasion I would braid my own hair.
"Sorry its sweaty," she offered.
"It is alright," I replied running the comb through her hair, "what would you like? Something simple? Down the back or off to the side? Loose or tight?"
"Something loose and off to the side I can sleep with. Too tight and I'll get headaches."
From where we were setting we could make out the fire in the distance, but we were still enough alone that no one would see us unless they came to look. I took the opportunity to be close to her, almost as close as we were while riding the pony. The feeling of her hair between my fingers was one I would never tire of.
"I love it when you play with my hair," she giggled softly, "it is soothing."
"Trust me when I say I love to do it," I murmured as she leaned back into my touch.
"The sky here is so beautiful, nothing like mine."
"Do you not have stars?"
"In my world, they capture...lightning, in glass bulbs to produce light. It is so common that most of the world uses it excessively to the point where it is so bright that the stars dim in comparison. We have stars, but where I lived you could not see them properly. So all of this is what I've always wanted to see, everywhere here is so beautiful."
With each leg on either side of her I finished off her braid, clasping it and giving it a small tug. Since it rested against one of her shoulders, the other was bare to me with the column of her neck. It was hard to resist the urge, but I fell into it anyway, lulled with elvish wine. My hands held on to either side of her waist as I pressed my lips against the skin of her shoulder blade.
A soft gasp left her lips, her hands finding mine and resting on top of them.
I continued my assault on her neck, pulling her fully against me. She tasted of sweet apples almost, breathing just a little harder. "You are the most beautiful thing I have seen in this world in a long time," I whispered into her ear just before I pressed my lips behind it. My hands started to wonder north of her waist.
"Kili," she moaned out softly.
Yes, that was a new favorite. I liked that even more than her laugh I do have to say.
"Yes," I asked in a hoarse voice of my own. It had been a long time since I have lain with anyone, and since it was Laurel my need was a little stronger.
"Please, stop," she urged. It was then I finally noticed that she was trying to push away my hands near her breasts. "We can't. Stop."
Not wanting her to feel uncomfortable I pulled away begrudgingly. "Why," I asked honestly. "I thought—"
"No," she muttered getting up and away from me, "We can't. Thorin would not allow for it, I am not on the top list of his most favorite people. I don't want to be in this position."
"Well we can try another," I laughed, "you can lay atop of me. It is a pleasurable position for both."
All the color raced to her face.
"I do not care what my uncle thinks of us or you. I do say you saved our lives just this morning, his included," I rose to grasp her hands. "Do not worry of him. I wish not to waste time with you, I wasted so much in the past five years."
Her hands slipped from my own as she took another step back. Beauty was truly what she was. The braid I placed in her hair framed her face and trailed nicely, but I did not like the heartbroken look she was giving me.
"I just can't," she whispered.
"Is there someone else," I asked quietly.
"No," she whispered, "there is no one else."
Fili stumbled into the area, looking a little off balance and cheerful. "Lady Laurel," he stumbled to her, "you must share another dance with me!"
Her lips twitched into a smile. Jealousy pitted my stomach. Of course my brother would win her affection.
"I can't Fili," she urged, "I am too tired. I was just about to find somewhere to sleep."
"Nonsense," he laughed, "Kili has already made a spot beside us!"
I gestured to the spot we were just sitting in. "Come," I waved her over, "I have bedding for you to use. I promise I will not attempt to touch you."
"Kili," she groaned out, slumping and approaching me once more. "It isn't like that, I promise."
"Go to sleep," I muttered, laying in the spot between hers and Fili's, "I will wake you when it is time to rise in the morn."
With that I threw an arm over my eyes and attempted to sleep. Through her movements on the ground she laid next to me. Sleep found me soon after.

Dumbass thought:
Bilbo stays in the mountain. He still communicates to his family in the shire. He regularly talks about them to thorin + company and other dwarves end up overhearing a few things, specifically about his cousin who’s having her 6th kid.
Cue the dwarves being so confused, becuase what does he mean?? Dwarves are lucky to have one child never mind six. And Bilbo goes on to talk about how hobbit families are really big and how they have the blessing of yavanna.
This however get miscommunicated around the mountain and the dwarves start to believe that hobbits can bless fertility. One darrowdam goes up to Bilbo to ask for his blessing for a child. She has always wanted one but she has never been able to carry to term. Bilbo doesn’t realize what’s happening yet, so he gives his blessing. He checks up on her during the pregnancy, giving her special teas and foods. (This just makes the rumours worse, as the dwarves believe that this is some kind of ritual) She carry to full term and gives birth to a boy.
And volia Bilbo becomes the patron saint of fertility in the mountain. He is confused. Kili and Fili are in awe, their uncle is a god. Thorin is smug as fuck, especially after a couple of elves hear about this and travel to the mountain for his blessing.
Bilbo gets a fierce guard of darrowdam warrior who would defend the consort until they die. Every babe that gets born under bilbos blessing considers him 1/4 their parent. He loves all of them. Fili and Kili have to fight for his attention

Slow Burn- Part 1
Pairing: Modern AU Fili x female OC Prim
Words: 1,670 give or take
Warnings: It’s about to get smutty all up in here!!mentions of sex, swearing, alcohol and drug references
Summary: Fili and Prim are in love, but choose to tease each other rather than admit their feelings.
A/N: Part 1 of about 4. Or 5. I don’t know yet. It’s taken me WEEKS to post this, partly due to nerves and the fact that I make edits every time I re-read it before I think I’m going to post it. Please be patient with me! Thanks to @fizzyxcustard for giving me courage!
—————
It started the same way every time.
A night out for drinks with Kili and Tauriel. Dinner at Thorin and Bilbo’s house. Innocent and familiar gatherings with the family that has treated Prim as part of their own for the last four years.
But it also ended the same way every time.
Fíli’s lips brushing against hers ever so slightly as they said goodnight. His hand habitually clutching her waist and Prim silently willing this to be the time he finally gives in to the temptation that is her.
It happened every weekend regardless of the occasion or setting and it drove her mad with desire. She knew he felt it too, so why was he toying with her for so long? Teasing her like one would their prey before devouring them.
God, she longed to sink her teeth into the flesh on his neck. She watched now as it creased when he turned his head in her direction to look at her, his nose still crinkled from laughing at something Kili said.
Prim released the nail she had been nibbling on from between her teeth and slowly moved her finger down her bottom lip.
Fili noticed, no longer laughing, his pupils dilating as he watched.
Now that Prim had the attention of her preferred audience, she wrapped her arm around her head to clasp her thick, dark hair in her hand and draped it over her right shoulder, her left shoulder and neck exposed to the side where Fili sat.
From the corner of her eye she noticed his hand grip his thigh and his cheek flinch as he clenched his jaw.
As frustrating as it was to be taunted by him for this long, Prim relished in knowing she had the same effect on him.
He took a long sip of his beer and licked his lips once he swallowed, no amount of drink able to quench the thirst he always had for Prim.
Does she know that every move she makes drives him mad? It was getting near impossible to control his urges and the longing he had for her.
This couldn’t continue, he was a grown-ass man for fuck’s sake. He knew one day he would have to finally kiss her like she deserved and tell her how he felt about her, but at the same time it was too much fun, making her squirm as they continued to build the sexual tension between them.
He glared at her now, watching her move her long finger down her full lip before pulling her hair off her delicate neck. He fidgeted in his chair, resisting the urge to attach his lips to her neck and chest.
“Fili, pay attention!” Kili shouted at his brother, smacking his arm and pulling him from his thoughts.
“What?” He scoffed, annoyed for being interrupted.
“Tauriel has asked me to move in with her! I’m moving out!” He explained, excitedly.
It took Fili a moment to process the words, shocked at the news. He felt a slight pang of hurt knowing he would be all alone in his apartment, the absence of Kili creating a large void, but quickly tossed away the thought and decided he needed to be happy for his brother.
“That’s great, you two!” He smiled as he stood from his chair. “Let me get a bottle of champagne for the happy couple, we need to celebrate.”
Prim couldn’t help but notice a slight insincerity coming from Fili as he walked over to the bar. Kili and Tauriel were now lost in their own world together, kissing and whispering in each other’s ears, so Prim took the opportunity to check on Fili.
“Are you okay?” She asked, gently touching her hand to his shoulder, his body heat radiating through his t-shirt on to the tips of her fingers.
He sighed heavily before looking at her with a weak smile tugging at his lips,
“Yeah. I’m happy for them, I truly am. It’ll just be different without him. He’s been my little brother for thirty years and lived with me the entire time. He’s always just been there.”
The bartender placed the chilled bottle of champagne on the bar.
“Cheers.” Fili said, taking hold of the bottle and looking back at Prim.
“I’m fine, really,” he smiled at her fully this time, both dimples making an appearance. “And don’t think I forgot you prefer Prosecco over Champagne,” he beamed at her and held a second bottle up in his other hand.
Prim couldn’t help but grin, flattered how he always remembered the things she loved.
“I need to stop being so predictable,” she smiled.
She placed her hand on his forearm and looked into his piercingly blue eyes, serious now,
“I just want you to know that I’m always here for you. If you’re lonely or bored without Kili- and even if you’re fine- you know I always enjoy your company.”
“I know.” he said.
If you only knew how much I crave your company, how your hands and lips on my body could cure any loneliness, how boldly I will love you, was what he didn’t say.
Thoughts of the two of them alone in his apartment flooded his mind, picturing her naked and moaning against him in his kitchen, his living room, his bed.
Before he lost control of himself, he nodded in the direction of Kili and Tauriel, “We better get back to the table before their pash session gets us kicked out of here.”
Fili placed the bottles on the table and nudged his brother on the back once his hands were free.
“At least have the decency to drink this expensive champagne before you abandon us like you always do.” He requested.
It happened all too often that Kili and Tauriel would leave Fili and Prim on their own, anxious for privacy, but he never cared too much as it gave him the opportunity to be alone with her.
So long as Kili paid his portion of the bill.
“Yes, sorry! Thank you!” Kili grinned as Fili opened the bottles and filled their glasses.
Prim smiled as she held her flute in the air, listening to the toast Fili gave to Kili and Tauriel, wishing her luck in putting up with him and thanking her for taking his messy brother off his hands.
The night continued on as it typically did, all of them agreeing that it was cheaper to drink in the comforts of one of their homes, not having to pay for overpriced drinks.
Tonight they ended up at Prim’s apartment, and she was thankful she could fall asleep on the couch when she was ready to and not have to worry about getting a taxi to take her home late in the night.
She stood in the kitchen, leaning against the island with her chin in her palm, admiring Kili and Tauriel snuggling closely on her couch now, giggling at each other and completely unashamed to express their love.
“At least I won’t have to witness this anymore.” Fili said, topping up the wine in Prim’s glass.
“Oh, come on, it’s not that bad.” She sipped her drink and immediately took her words back as she watched Kili climb on top of Tauriel, their intensity increasing quickly.
“Never mind-.” Prim turned to face Fili and away from the couple dry humping on her couch.
“You have to admit though, Fi, that one day you would want that..” she trailed off when her eyes landed on the curly chest hairs peaking up through the neck of his t-shirt.
Yet another part of him she ached to touch.
He carded his fingers through his hair, slicking it back out of his face.
It was getting long, grown out now to just below his ears, curly and bleached even blonder from the sun. She loved it like this.
Honestly, she loved his hair any way, having seen it in every possible style through the years, from short, to short on the sides and long on the top, to just long and curly at his shoulders, but the way it was now allowed her to dream of tugging on it in bed.
Wetness pooled between her legs at the thought as it often did, and she knew she needed to think of something else before she threw herself at Fili and begged him to take her.
“I do want that,” he answered her in a low voice, his eyes telling it was her he wanted it with.
It was like ecstasy to her. No matter how many times she listened to him speak his voice made her melt each time. She bit her lip and closed her eyes when she felt him take a step closer to her, her pulse quickening as he leaned in to speak in her ear.
“I need to get those two home.”
Her head tipped back at the sensation of his breath tickling her skin, his hair brushing against her flushed cheek.
Prim clenched her teeth as he pulled away from her body, furious that he continued to do this to her.
“Okay,” was all she could manage to get out.
Please, don’t go, was what she wanted to say.
Just once she wanted him to stay the night, be in her bed with her.
Her breath caught in her throat when he placed his thumb on her chin, pulling it up so she looked into his eyes. Her hands gripped the counter for support as he took a step toward her again, making her lean her back against it.
“Goodnight,” he nearly whispered it as his lips pressed against the corner of hers, half on her cheek.
Prim inhaled sharply at his contact and tried to turn her mouth into his before he pulled away, missing him by a second.
She nearly growled when he winked at her and grinned, knowing he was fully aware of what he was doing to her.
“Goodnight, Fili.”
She glared at him with such want and she hoped he could feel the burn of it on his skin.

At the door you grinned as Thranduil helped carry your bags while Frerin locked up and followed you to the elevator and out to your sub then helped you into the jacket you had forgotten by the door. Thranduil went off to school as you and Frerin went to drop off Jax. Alone in the sub he shared about his exhausting day at work and the late night he had playing with Tea’s little girl, eventually falling asleep under her on the floor in the living room. No doubt captured on film by Tea when she got back from the store with Dis, and with the crick in his back he guessed Vili had been the one to get him onto his bed again. With a giggle you wet your lips and parked the sub starting the walk to Denethor’s class where you waited until it let out to pass him the essay that was due then walk through the crowds off to your next class.
At least for you there were exams in your first half of classes leaving Frerin chatting with your professors catching glimpses of you completing your exams then drooping your head to your arms curled, one under and the other flopped over your head. The position puzzled him as it had one leg pinned between you and your desk with the other curled on the seat before you. The position stirred his attention and his phone out to capture the position before he followed you to your sub to pick up Jax.
.
Parked in the lot you caught a glimpse of Thranduil’s Uncle waiting outside the building with a serious expression making Frerin grumble, “This can’t be good.”
Climbing out of the door you nearly collapsed but held it together and walked around the back to Frerin’s side feeling the Headmaster’s eyes on you as you mumbled, “Oh I hope he didn’t hit anyone.” At that Frerin all but snorted trying to hold back his reaction.
Forcing a smile you stated, “Mr Greenleaf.”
He grinned at you and stated after glancing at Frerin, “I was hoping we might have a word with you.”
You nodded and followed him inside through the school to one of the classrooms where Jax was sitting with Haldir working on one of his workbooks as the Headmaster guided you towards the teacher who straightened his shirt looking you over making Frerin tense at your side. “Miss Pear, I wanted to talk to you about Jax.” You could feel your brother look over at you only to be refocused on his work giving you time to talk to his teacher. “He has been reading ahead and in play time has been trying to spend it in the library with another of our students.”
You nodded and asked, “And?”
His lips parted and he said, “For whatever reason he’s been asking for extra assignments after he finishes his work.”
Again you repeated, “And?”
The teachers hands extended at his sides, “There is no extra credit.”
“Have you told him that?”
“Yes. And he came in with three paragraphs on a chapter on turtles he read in the library!”
Your head tilted and eyes narrowed asking, “I’m not seeing what the problem is.”
“He already has a full course of classes, on top of-,” He paused at your brow rising, “He shouldn’t be worrying about extra credit when he is so behind verbally.”
You nodded then asked, “So the issue, it’s not that he’s a bright student, but because you can’t converse with him without a translator yet you are having a problem with his thirst for knowledge.”
“I just don’t see why he feels the need to be so insistent on adding to his plate.”
Frerin, “Sounds like he’s been adding to yours. Obviously he isn’t having troubles. And verbally he has grown bounds since he’s had his surgery just a month ago. You may be uncomfortable with the language barrier but I am certain you will get used to it. Even take the opportunity to expand on your set curriculum.”
The teacher grinned at Frerin then asked, “I’m sorry, but who are you?”
Frerin steadily replied, “We live together.”
The teacher all but paled as the Headmaster jutted in, “Miss Pear, I had a suggestion.” You nodded turning your head to face him, “Jax has been stirring up a bit of interest in the library again, even helping a few of our slower students with sounding out words easier and also helping the other Dwarf children to teaching sign. We are impressed to say the least and were actually thinking of implementing a class-wide sort of book club.”
He wet his lips catching your partially puzzled expression, “We were wondering if you might, after you graduate, be interested in being one of our tutors next year. It wouldn’t be a long term thing if you didn’t wish for it to be, however, you are an incredible teacher clearly and have obviously found something we have been missing in our curriculum.” He paused for a moment then continued, “Please, just give it some thought. You have plenty of time, no rush. We just hope to find a way to peak Jax’s interest in the meantime until we can settle on a list of books for the month.”
Frerin, “You could try Column and Anvil. They have a reading list we’ve been buying for him. Great supply of short books for their age group.”
The Headmaster nodded and he grinned saying, “I will look into that.”
The teacher blurted in adding, “Also, I’m not certain what it means, Haldir keeps pausing when Jax signs it before translating.” He mimicked the signs then stated, “Every time I try to get him to go play instead of hiding out in the library or tell him there’s no extra credit he signs that.”
You and Frerin both smirked and you wet your lips as Frerin rumbled back, “Boorish Grump.”
The teacher mouthed the words and nodded as if he understood the meaning while you asked, “Is, that everything?”
The Headmaster nodded and said, “Yes. It is. Thank you for your time, and I do hope we can get the teachers on board with the list and get it started soon for all the children.”
You shook his hand then turned to grin at Jax as he readied his bag then hopped up ready to head out with you as Haldir stood with a grin saying, “He keeps bringing up turtles.”
You giggled then said, “Yes, they are his favorites right now.”
Haldir nodded, “Well if you have time there is a documentary on various turtles on the explore channel tonight at 7.”
You nodded again, “I will set a timer for it, thank you.”
He smiled at Jax, “Any time. See you tomorrow.”
Jax returned the smile and parroted the sentiment back to him grabbing your hand to bounce the way out to the sub while Frerin tried to hold in his chuckles.
It wasn’t until you got outside and he chuckled saying in a mocking tone, “Who are you?” He we his lips as you peered up at him after buckling Jax in and closing the door, “He’s got the hots for you.” You rolled your eyes, “At least Haldir’s more polite about it.”
You giggled walking around to your seat as Frerin climbed inside and turned to Jax asking, “So, turtles?” Jax nodded eagerly bantered and signed about his favored creatures that stemmed all the way back to the age of the dinosaurs all the way back to Greenwood University where Frerin carried him and his bag while you grabbed yours, locking the sub.
With a giggle you walked through into Dwalin’s class as Jax hugged Frerin’s neck after his promise to take him to the Aquarium on Saturday while Thorin and Thranduil planned to steal you away for Valentines day. Frerin winked at you saying, “Called Troy about it a week ago, full exhibit on turtles with a new set of eggs freshly hatched few weeks past.”
Nearly to the tables you spotted the lunch Thorin had brought you as his worried expression eased as he stated, “Hey, traffic? We were worried.”
You giggled again, “Nope, um, Big Leaf’s uncle wanted to talk to me.”
Thorin raised a brow, “Oh?”
You nodded, “Ya.”
Frerin smirked, “His teacher is feeling challenged by Jax’s requests for extra credit.”
Thorin chuckled as Dwalin rumbled, “Sounds familiar.” His hand moved to brush your hair out of your face, “Did you sleep well?”
You shook your head, “Essays ran late.” He nodded watching as you took your seat through Frerin’s head shaking signing that wasn’t why you were up making Thorin smirk, mentally calling tonight as his while Fili stole a peck on your cheek.
Fili, “What else did they say?”
You giggled again saying, “Well apparently Jax has been calling his teacher boorish grump in sign when he’s let down.” The men chuckled and you added, “And they wanted to offer me a tutoring position next year. Jax has been causing a bit of a book uprising in class.”
Frerin nodded, “Forced them to think about starting a class-wide book club to boot.” Smirks grew stealing glances at the boy flipping through a magazine Haldir had brought him with an article on turtles he wanted to reread and point out facts to the men as you ate.

Walking into Thranduil’s class you couldn’t help but giggle spotting his exhausted scowl breaking as he spotted you and Jax. At once the memories flooded back on your night together with a glimmer in his eye that sparked up as you giggled saying, “I got to talk to your Uncle again.”
His brows rose, “Oh?”
Frerin chuckled as you said, “Someone got offered a teaching job.”
You rolled your eyes as Thranduil grinned at you, “Tutoring, not teaching.”
Both, “Same difference.”
Frerin chuckled then said, “I’m gonna borrow your office, found a show I want Jax to see.” Thranduil nodded smiling at him before turning to watch as Fili and Kili led you to your usual seats with grins at the exhausted Elf.
His class went easily, simple notes through the slides and a video that he quite clearly dozed off through more than once, even with you there to stare up at from time to time. But finally you were freed and moved on to Dwalin’s for yet another exam. Allowing Jax more time in the offices to watch the turtle shows with Frerin with Dwalin watching as you completed the exam and then contorted into the same balled up position as earlier drawing Dwalin up to your seat to drape his coat over you and collect your exam to start grading as he waited for the others.
Class ended and Jax exited the office only to giggle and bound up the steps to your seat tapping your leg stirring a sleepy smile from you as you woke. Down the steps Dwalin said, “You can nap here. Thorin will understand.”
You grinned grabbing your bag shrugging out of his jacket you passed him on your way to the door, “Thank you, I’ll be fine though.”
He nodded and replied, “At least accept the offer tomorrow.” He glanced at Frerin adding in a mumble, “He won’t be letting her sleep either if he has his way.”
Frerin grinned, “I’ll tape them down if I have to.”
Dwalin, “Won’t help.” Making Frerin chuckle and follow after you to his brother’s class, seeing the truth in his statement watching Thorin’s reaction to your entrance before being led into the office again to watch the next show he set up on the computer there.
The first slide started and as Thorin eased back in his chair he subtly brought out his phone and watched as you blindly drew yours out to do the same, setting it on your notebook out of sight from the people around you. The upwards tick of your brow when you glanced at him, just barely able to keep from smirking, while he could feel his pants growing just a bit tighter at the playful smirk you sent him in return and your reply.
“If I guess what color your panties are can I cook for you tonight?”
“You can cook me dinner. If you can guess the color I’ll have another prize for you.”
Three guesses later his brows furrowed only for him to pause in his speech as he read your message, “Two guesses too many. I was looking forward to what I had planned.” His eyes went to you watching as under your layer of curls you flashed him a glimpse of your bra strap through the neck of your shirt making him inhale deeply then glance down to read your follow up message, “Too bad. I suppose you’ll just have to make it up to me.” The slides switched and behind his desk he continued speaking trying to keep his eyes off you wondering just what you’d have planned for him.
Out in Moria Dis and Tea both sat laughing about the pictures Vili had captured of Frerin being the makeup guinea pig for the little girl he was watching through a shopping trip. Dis grinned lowering her tea cup then stated, “I am glad you’ve moved in with Frerin. It suits him to have a little one around. It certainly will give him time to readjust before my pebbles arrive.”
Tea chuckled saying, “I am grateful to him, he certainly didn’t have to offer me a place. I don’t doubt it has more to do with his crush on Jaqi.”
Dis smirked at her, “Jaqi is attractive, yes, though no doubt-,”
Tea chuckled, “It’s alright. Honestly my sisters got more than a few dates because the guys assumed we were her. We have a running joke in fact, us and all our cousins, when the guy comes to visit family we always ask who he met first, us or Jaqi. Turns out those who met Jaqi first last longer and behave better.”
Dis chuckled, “Yes, she does seem protective.” She wet her lips then stated, “I was in fact, I found the perfect little baseball set for Jax in our storage form the boys if he’s interested.”
Tea’s grin dropped making Dis freeze wondering just what she had said, “Um. He had mentioned possibly trying a youth league possibly when he got his hearing better. Though, I’m not certain Jaqi would be comfortable with a bat in the house just yet.”
Dis’ head tilted for a moment, “Why wouldn’t she be comfortable with a bat? Is this about the home invasion still?”
Tea’s mouth dropped open and she forced a smile, mumbling, “Frerin didn’t tell you..”
Dis inched closer, “Tell me what? Why does she have problems with bats?”
Her eyes scanned over Tea frantically as she set down her cup and sighed, “Fine! But you cannot tell her I told you!” Dis nodded and Tea sighed again, “There was no invasion.”
Dis shook her head, “I don’t-.”
Tea, “Theoden tried for years to get her away from her parents,” instantly Dis’ heart skipped and she paled with eyes widening, “but she was, profitable, and they were very convincing. Jaqi finally got her manager to convince them to put her winnings in a trust, saying they’d get paid off sooner. Well, they found out they’d have to wait till she was in her twenties, and her mom grabbed her as her dad got the bat.”
Dis’ hands folded over her mouth trying not to gag remembering stories of how badly beaten she was and knowing fully now just how painful your path back must have been, “She’s alright around them, at a distance. Just holds tight to someone, though if she’s alone, we found her screaming once out in Rohan, she went to fetch a floating board for the pool and just scrambled across the yard out of the shed when it fell from the rack. We think it’s the sound of it falling mainly.” She paused then added, “She really is profoundly better. Please don’t take her as a helpless thing. Just has her triggers.”
Dis forced a smile then said, “I understand. I won’t bring it up.”
Tea nodded, “Good.”
Dis, “Jax isn’t uncomfortable with it?”
Tea wet her lips, “He doesn’t know.” Dis’ brow inched up, “He’s just seven. Jaqi thought it best to tell him when he’s older. He knows they were bad people, and that Jaqi got hurt. She did have to tell him last year there wasn’t a break in while they lived there, that the papers got it wrong to make sure he wouldn’t be scared at home.”
Dis nodded, “Understandable.” She drew in a breath then asked, “Has she been raising him?”
Tea grinned, “Mainly, yes. Theodred and Lia work a lot, their little ones go in with them and even before then with his hearing the day care didn’t like watching him. And Jaqi really wants to spend as much time with him as she can so he has something close to a normal family of his own, instead of being the odd cousin out like she was. He’s actually trying to convince them to let him move in with her after she graduates.”
Dis, “I assumed she’d be moving in with Thranduil by then.”
Tea shrugged, “I can’t seem to get anything but evasion on that topic. Though I know Theoden is going to move his girlfriend in then. But I don’t think Jaqi would feel comfortable asking Thranduil about moving in, or even Thorin.”
Dis, “Thorin no doubt would be moving in as well. I know the men have already spoken about which room to convert for Jax, should he move in.”
Tea wet her lips then inched closer to Dis, “Another thing, she may seem, overly cautious, but this really is Jaqi’s first relationship.” Dis’ lips parted, “And she’s essentially in, two, relationships at once. So planning a date is difficult, and now there’s wedding fittings for my sister, no doubt bringing up hints for their future, she will settle but, asking about moving in would be difficult. No doubt she’ll be a bit cautious about bringing it up.”
Dis nodded then wet her lips, “Has, has she said anything about me?”
Tea chuckled, “Nothing bad. Determined came up a few times. Though,” Tea chuckled, “She said she felt like you’d get along famously.”
“She did?” Feeling more than flattered at the statement from you even as mainly strangers still.
Tea nodded, “You are quite similar you know. Only, you’ve got more family to be ferocious over.” Dis chuckled through her creeping smile, “When you spend more time together you’ll see. She just takes a while to warm up to people.”
Dis nodded, “Yes, Ori did mention it took a month nearly for her to be more comfortable around them.”
“Gondor was rough on her. Her first real time with people in a learning environment. Without the usual social cues and knowledge on common school routine, mainly home schooled till Theoden got her. But then she had Theoden, Eomer and Eowyn to look out for her.”
Dis nodded, “So, what can I do then, to speed it along?”
Tea chuckled, “I’m sure we’ll think of something.”

Until the end of class you sat taking notes at all Thorin said feeling his eyes latching onto you for mere moments until they would dart away at your eyes meeting his. At the heated looks Thorin was giving you Frerin made certain to secure Jax’s attentions on an offer to head to the park again, freeing you to slip out of your shoes when you entered your apartment. Before you could straighten up Thorin had eased his fingers under the neck of your jacket guiding it free from your shoulders after setting your bag aside. His jacket was added by yours and he asked in a low purr, “Are you hungry?”
With a smirk you turned around guiding him backwards into the apartment, “And here I thought you were going to take Frerin’s advice and tear my clothes off right away.”
Narrowing his eyes at you playfully his finger caught in your belt loop pulling you flat against him in his step closer, cupping your cheek to tilt your head back so his eyes would meet yours, “This is a relationship, sex is not the top of my priority list. Ensuring you’re fed and cared for, so, are you hungry?”
“I’m fine.” His eyes lowered to your hands resting on his stomach with one finger tracing the top button on his cardigan.
At your nip at your lip he asked, “What is that look for?”
You shrugged, “After what I messaged you-,”
Lowering down he pressed his lips to your nose cupping your other cheek, “Flirt all you like. Tease me all you like. If you change your mind between class and home nothing happens. I won’t be mad, No hurt feelings, no grudges.” He kissed your nose again and purred, “You like to be in charge with me,” his eyes scanned over your face at the soft blush on your cheeks, “Trust me, I am not complaining. If you want to take charge, if you want me to, try something new or go with the most vanilla evening, I love you. You’re finding out what you like, your, style, for lack of a better term. It’s all about trust and respect, with a lot of fumbling in between. Don’t be embarrassed to tell me what you want or would like.”
You nodded then eased your hands over his lowering them from your cheeks, “Alright. We’re gonna go make out then.”
A smirk eased onto his face, “Absolutely. Did you want to walk or for me to carry you.”
You nipped your lip in a teasing pondering moment making him chuckle at your arms resting on his shoulders, “Carry me.” Firmly his hands eased around your thighs and he wrapped you around his middle carrying you to your room.
“I was hoping you’d say that. I hear you took my promise to pin you against the wall and put it to use with Thran.”
“He share our whole night?”
Thorin shook his head closing and locking the door to your room behind him, “No. Just suggested a quiet spot in your closet to pin you against. More of a safety comment than sharing your secrets.”
On his knees he lowered you down to lay over you on the bed, “You don’t share tips anymore?”
Thorin grinned, “We obviously bring out different interests when we’re alone with you. A few details like where to kiss to relax you, a better angle for certain positions, how hard to go, things like that. All to make it more enjoyable for you.”
“You don’t get jealous at all?”
He wet his lips, “A bit with Fili, but he’s knew, younger, wants more of you to himself.”
“I haven’t done-,” he shook his head saying, “I know. Even if you had, it’ll settle. Thran and me had issues at first, then we set the boundaries.”
With a smirk you asked, “Any clue who claims tomorrow night?”
He grinned lowering to his elbows on either side of your shoulders, “That is for you to decide. Though. If I can be entirely biased, I wouldn’t mind for two in a row.”
Rolling your eyes you eased your hands around his neck drawing him lower to plant your lips on his. Slowly but surely his smirk grew against your lips at your guiding him onto his back and move to fold his hands over his head. Lowly he moaned at your hand easing into his loosened jeans then asked after shrugging his arms out of his shirts and tossing it away, “So, how did you want me to make it up to you?”
With a grin you used your free hand to move his hand from its task of undoing the buttons on your blouse to over his head again making him gasp then groan at your hand gripping his arousal tighter to stroke him over the bunched up waistband of his briefs. “I want you to lay back and enjoy.”
He couldn’t help but let out a disbelieving exhale, “You both pay so much attention to me. So now, I get to focus on you while you lie there and take it.”
Playfully he smirked and nipped at his lip watching you lower to start with a teasing lick along his shaft making him release a growling breath looking you over still fully dressed making you smirk and say, “I’ll tell you what,” you paused to circle his tip with your tongue making his hands clench around the pillow under his head, “You follow the rule, and every time you let me do what I want I’ll take something off. Agreed?”
He nodded nipping at his lip when you tugged his jeans and briefs down then moved to your former spot, “Agreed.”
The playful smile you gave him saying, “Good” made his arousal twitch seeing just how much you actually were enjoying taking the lead. Steadily he cemented himself in place hoping you would lose your resolve before he would, knowing he was nowhere above begging to turn the tables around on you. Again and again your head bobbed between teasing pauses right as he neared the edge your tongue would trail over his tip stealing the few dripping beads to ease down along his shaft while he would groan at the near miss only for his fists to clutch the pillow under his head and draw it over his face to muffle his final moans when you rapidly stirred him back to the edge and swallowed all he released in his irritated yet victorious climax.
Out from under the pillow he peered at you feeling you shift on the bed hoping you would remove your shirt only to watch you ease your belt loose and stand making a show of stripping out of your jeans. Hungrily his eyes scanned over your thighs in the visible portion of skin between your knee high socks and the hem of your blouse. But as your pants hit the floor you were on your knees again inching higher to plant on all fours to leave a chaste peck on his lips, followed by another and a third he tilted his head for to deepen it further through a pleased hum. In a blur you were darting your tongue between his lips and his arms shifted at the slow deliberate rock of your hips against his, only to draw your hands to move his back again.
Lowly he groaned against your lips then opened his eyes to take in a deep breath he let out in a low hum at your lips trailing across his cheeks to his ear softly teasing, “Oh now, you’re being so good. Don’t break now.” Ending with a nip at his ear earning a low growl from him through another exhale feeling himself fully hard and sliding against your smooth stomach and lace covered mound in your next deliberate rock above him.
“Mahal help me. I can’t move at all still?”
With a breathy chuckle only making him pulse harder at your next flick of your tongue against his ear lobe you purred, “I can stop, or give you a safe word, if it’s too much.”
“Fuck no.”
“Then be good. See what you earn the longer you last.” Rolling his head back he grumbled lowly feeling himself pulsing through a deepening smirk before the rebuilding tension of your trying game. Again you chuckled pressing your lips to his through another rock above him you used to sink lower in a single dip earning a gasp from him at your slow trail down his neck, chest and navel until you finally paid attention to the pulsing muscle aching to be touched by you again.
Another climax was eventually found after two teasing pauses only for his satisfaction to drop drastically sensing how badly you were aching to be touched in return. But on your knees he watched you loosen a button at a time until your shirt was dropped onto your pants and his eyes sank hungrily to your heated core in your straddling shift to kiss him again. On all fours in a move to claim a hungry kiss only to pause as he panted out against your lips, “Can I taste you?” Drawing back leaving him gasping at the missed kiss he caught your heated gaze locking onto his, “Please, I know you’re close, I can feel it.”
Pulling back his lips parted at your shift to sit beside him only to chuckle victoriously at your fingers easing your panties off to toss onto the pile over him making him bite his lip. A tap of your finger to his chin signaled him to roll onto his side at your saying, “Come here.” Firmly his lips worked against yours in another muffled growling hum before you told him, “You get one.” He tried to shift only to pause locking his eyes on yours with mouth open, “Mouth only. You can hold my hips, no more.” A low growl escaped him when he closed his mouth through an irritated twitch of his brow making you smirk wider, “Unless you’d like to earn using your hands.”
His brow twitched again and he flatly replied, “No.” Stealing a fiery kiss before he sank to your hips, peering up at you as he folded his hands around your hips in his fevered start to reverse the game on you only to cave in and inch you closer to his lips as he wanted to pull you closer to your own climax hoping it could earn him more chances at pleasing you. A whimpered moan left you making his grip tighten on your hips wishing to keep going only to press his forehead to your stomach groaning again as your hips shifted signaling your lingering hunger for more.
Rising up he wiped his mouth and moved to steal a gentle kiss. Lowly he purred against your lips, “You need more.”
Easing your legs back to curl in front of his, you rose up on your knees cupping his cheek for another kiss feeling a steady drip rolling town your stomach from his erection tapping against it. “I want to try something.”
He nodded, “Anything.”
In a move he nipped at his lip seeing you grab a condom packet from your drawer and move back saying, “I want to try on my knees.”
Wetting his lips he tried to keep from smirking, “Any specific position?”
You shrugged, “I don’t know.”
He nodded moving in to kiss you again, “We can try a few.”
Holding back from your nerves you kissed him again stirring another hum from him. When your lips left his they teased his other ear making him chuckle in your path to sink your lips around him again drawing a low moan from him in the single bob of your head and flick of your tongue around his tip you soon eased the condom over after. Wetting his lips again he eased his hands around your hips saying, “There’s on all fours, there’s ass up with your shoulders and head down, one where we’re sort of folded forward and then there’s upright with me behind you, which one did you want to try first?”
“Um, we can try in order.” He nodded and leaned in starting a deepening kiss ending with his lips trailing over your neck in his move around you while his hands smoothed over your stomach and back in his steady lean forward guiding you to all fours.
Nipping at your lip his hands smoothed over your sides in his rocking of his hips gliding against the slickness stirring a soft whimper from you as he purred between kisses across your shoulder blades, “Nice and slow.” Steadily he sank into you making you clench around him signaling him to pause, focusing on stroking your exposed skin trying to lull your nerves away.
Swallowing dryly he straightened up at your walls gripping him tightly adjusting to the position. A trail of bumps over your skin followed his fingers gliding over your back to your thighs to spread them a bit more hoping to relax you more. Gingerly he eased back then slowly sank into you again sneaking a hand around your hip to circle your clit in hopes of drawing another climax from you relaxing you more. One hand focused there while the other adjusted the arch of your back easing the rhythm and pace to one more pleasurable for you soon leaving your arms dropping in your face burying into a pillow. In your recovering pants he grinned holding you in place by the grip on your ass, with him buried inside you and his other hand still firmly planted on your shoulder in his attempt to keep you from dropping mid thrust to keep from hurting you.
In his ease back a soft gasp from you halted him and the moan that followed in his tip gliding against the right spot made his fingers clench around your ass to keep you in place. A timid glide back in made you moan again then squeak out, “Don’t, stop.”
Holding still he asked as your eyes clamped shut, “Don’t or don’t stop?”
Unable to speak at his pulse inside you making your legs tremble, your hand tapped twice on the bed through another gasping whimper making him tentatively sink into you again drawing another moan from you dying into the pillow you gripped tighter as he steadily increased the pace until you had all but collapsed at the next climax washing over you. Under your chest his arm held you in place as he gingerly kissed across your back until you calmed again. Softly you whispered, “I don’t think I want to try lower than this.”
He nodded, “Ok. Upright then?”
Weakly you exhaled then tilted your head to say, “I might not stay up for long.”
Lowly he chuckled and purred, “I’ll hold you up.” Carefully he helped you up, ensuring you were in a comfortable position while kissing your neck. Shakily your arm rose to drape around the back of his neck to help steady yourself while he slowly sank into you when you found an angle and pace comfortable for you.
With your head turned his moans fell against your lips in the tangling of your tongues. One was freed from him at your abrupt ending of it to say, “I want to turn around.”
Nipping at his lip he chuckled easing out of you and gliding his hands across your back after your turn. Again your hand eased around his neck and you said, “Come here,” pulling him into a firm kiss guiding him down flat over you, your hand trailing through his hair asking, “Bit of vanilla?”
Lowly he chuckled easing your legs around him through a gentle kiss as he purred, “Absolutely, sanâzyung.” (Perfect true love)
Planting his lips on yours again when he sank into you ending the game with a gradual Khuzdul sentiment flooded build up to a joint climax leaving you both seeing spots and holding each other right where you were in your settling breaths. When he was free of you he chuckled sliding you to the end of the bed to lift you and carry you for a shower he swatted your hands away making you giggle in his stolen task of ensuring you were cleaned and dried before carrying you back to bed while he chose what he wanted to see you in next. “If I didn’t know better I’d say you enjoy dressing me up more than undressing me, hulwultarg.” (Sweet beard/cheeks)
With a playful grin he came back passing you the panties he picked and cleaned up the discarded condom and wrapper. Putting your discarded clothes in your hamper and your phone on the night stand before he tugged on the change of briefs he’d left here before along with the sweats and t shirt under them making you smirk and ask, “You’re hiding clothes here?”
Easing your hands over his middle to smooth out his shirt he purred back, “Thran has some too, top shelf where Jax can’t see them.”
You smirked up at him, “Yes, because your sweats will make him scream out in horror.”
He rolled his eyes in your walk around him, “What is he going to say?”
“Food.” Your hand eased into his and he followed you smirking as he watched your baggy tank top settled over your thighs just barely longer than the shorts he chose for you. Unlocking the door you led him into the kitchen, “He’s going to wake up. Like he does when Big Leaf is here, and Frerin is here, same as Eomer, Theoden and Theodred. He’s going to say, food.” Thorin raised a brow, “You’re here, he sees you every day.”
“But you’re one of my students.”
You nodded, “Yes, and we’ve had that discussion him and I. You’re family. He knows there’s limits for teachers.” At the fridge you said, “If you wanted to break-,”
His hands cupped your cheeks and he kissed you firmly lifting you onto the counter in a knee weakening lip lock he broke to say just barely away from your lips, “I do not want to break up. Trust me that is never going to cross my mind.” Inching back he added, “I just don’t want to complicate things for you with him.”
You nodded then giggled, “Not, complicate things…” You wet your lips, “I’ve been raising him since I was 14, everything about my life has been complicated. And somehow in dates with three of my Professors, with, whatever Fili is trying to do on top of two boyfriends out of the three prior mentioned Professors, all while making friends for the first time outside of relatives and getting back into the pool. Somehow, you and Big Leaf seem so simple.” A grin eased across his lips, “Plus, Frerin is no doubt adorable with Jax. For a guy I tried to slap the second time we spoke, he’s not so bad once you get past the horny narcissist part of him, he’s just a giant kitten that needs a hug.”
Thorin couldn’t help but laugh and turn to the fridge to get ingredients for a meal, “Oh I am getting him that on a mug. Kitten in need of a hug.”
“Teasing your brother now?”
He chuckled, “He doesn’t get it enough. Left home after dad got the judge position. Didn’t like being restrained for once.” In his glance at you he caught your eyes shifting away from him making him move closer to you, “Hey. Not your fault. He was barely in his twenties, we all went through it, wanting to explore on our own.”
“It just,”
“What?” His eyes scanned yours trying to distinguish your muddled expression.
“The two men save my life, our lives really, I don’t know, just goes into those red string theories. Like it had to be them, and I move here and it ends up being you two and your families.”
Thorin grinned planting his hands around your thighs purring, “Like Ones?”
You shrugged, “Bit too big of a coincidence, right?”
“There is a plan to everything. Maybe they were meant to watch you, bond with you to make sure our paths all crossed later on. I know I considered moving to the Blue Mountains with one of our Uncles in his University and Thran got an offer in Valinor right out of University. We all got pulled in and we all buckled down and rethought it all and Greenwood made sense and Rin could only make it to Moria with Dis, not far at all. We all hurt on that day and for so long after, maybe it took breaking our hearts back then to reshape us and rebuild ourselves to find one another right now, to finish healing. I hear there’s been headlines of Oropher wearing different ties.”
“He got them?”
Thorin chuckled, “You bought him more ties?”
You nodded, “Full spread, bout twenty. Thought he might like to mix it up. Jax even found one with this elk on it. I’ve been trying to think of what to get Thrain, all I could think of was this novel I found on King Grundon and his alabaster throne.”
Thorin’s lips parted, “Where did you find that?! There were only twenty copies!”
“It,” you sighed, “It was a gift. That book about my stats when I was younger. I spent most of the day in the publishers reading through their book shelves and I only got halfway through it, the guy was going through a divorce, it was his wife’s, she got it in some auction, didn’t even speak Khuzdul so he just let me keep it. I’ve memorized it and,” you wet your lips, “In the smoking lounge at your Adad’s he had that printout of the classic cover. I snuck a peak at his shelves and saw he only had the translated reprints flooded with errors, so,” you paused at his adoring gaze, “What?”
“Have you sent it yet?”
You nodded, “It should be there today. I asked Fili for the address, why?”
Thorin grinned wider, “Because, if he didn’t love you already he will never, never stop gushing about you. You are his top child right now.”
You giggled rolling your eyes, “Sure.”
He kissed you again, “You’ll see.”
The opening of the front door freed Jax to rush in to put the oddly shaped stones he had found in his room with Frerin behind him smirking as he looked you both over, paused and entered the kitchen, “You two look, clean.”
You rolled your eyes and Thorin smirked at him saying, “Jaqi said you’re a horny narcissistic kitten in need of a hug.”
Frerin’s lips parted then closed while his brows furrowed in his glance at you, “That, is oddly specific. I should be upset, however, it’s actually true. Well said.” Scooping you up Thorin chuckled watching Frerin carry you to the couch, “Come on Sis, time for cuddles. Thorin’s got the food.”
Over his shoulder you caught Thorin’s wink at you in his turn back to prepping the meal. On the couch you were curled in his arms between his legs with Jax across your lap through the film Thorin brought the food out to the living room for. Jax’s drooping head called the night early as you helped him to bed then went to yours to brush your teeth while Frerin went to collapse on his bed while Thorin eased in behind you to brush his teeth and follow you to the bed calling your names. After flicking the sheets into a better state you flopped onto the mattress making Thorin chuckle in his slide closer to you wrapping his arms around you through your sleepy kiss.
It wasn’t long after you both had fallen asleep and not long after that when a shriek from the room next door sent you rushing over Thorin to your door and around the corner in time to drop to your knees hugging the weeping Jax on his stagger into your open arms. Not a moment after Frerin and Thorin followed you into his room you lit up and focused on the nightmare he had while his arms folded around his stuffed turtle through signing.
“And then this shark just came out of nowhere and ate Captain Jasper!”
His next sniffle turned into another sob and you wet your lips saying as you signed back to him, “Well, it sounds like you woke up at the big climax of the film.” His lip quivered through a pout clutching his turtle tighter as you continued, “Captain Jasper is a spy, and every great spy has a good decoy the bad guys don’t know about.” In the doorway the men leaned against the door frame in awe of how easily your story calmed him, “Now, usually it’s a dummy and then the bad guy goes off into the rest of his plan, but then, at the last possible minute the spy shows up to save the day.”
You wet your lips again easing him back under his covers and you laid out beside him forming your own continuation of his dream before Jax’s eyes drooped again and you whispered, “Now, you and the Captain go rush off and save the oceans from those pesky taffy sharks.” Kissing his forehead as he was fast asleep signaling you to rub your face and join the men in the doorway in a calming hug slowing your still racing heartbeat, after which Thorin raised you in his arms and carried you back to bed as Frerin dimmed the lights in Jax’s room and went back to his.

How the Lord of the rings/Hobbit characters are at Christmas: <AU!> <preference>
Legolas: He would be thrilled and would probably be the first one to wake up in the morning to search for his gifts and unwrap them. He would be happy to get anything, because he thinks that the thought is more important than the actual gift. He absolutely loves the Christmas songs and often sings along especially at Christmas parties. Buys everyone presents.
Thranduil: He would be rather annoyed with all the Christmas carols and all the Christmas mood in the elves around him and when he is asked, he would answer “Today is nothing different than any day“. He is always forced (by Legolas mostly) to make a Christmas party, but isn’t thrilled by the celebration and goes to bed early. Though he loves the gifts his allies send him and is kind of the only thing he looks forward for.
Tauriel: She absolutely loves this time of the year. She is busy all day buying presents for her friends and doesn’t even care that all her money will be spent by the end of the day, because she wants to make everyone happy (even the grumpy elven king Thranduil). Her mood is contagious and affects practically all of Mirkwood. She loves getting gifts in return, but feels bad when the person has gifted her with a bigger present than she has for him. She adores the Christmas parties and often helps with the preparations. She would most likely organize a karaoke competition with Christmas songs, much to Thranduil’s annoyance. “All I want for Christmas is you“ is her personal anthem.
Elrond: Even if he is busy with organizations for the Christmas party in Rivendell, he is obviously in a very Christmasy mood and wants everything to be perfect. He even hires someone (most times Lindir) to dress up as Santa Claus to give out presents to the little elflings at the party. He always comes up with something original for the party every year (like a chorus singing Christmas carols or a ball) but Lindir as Santa is a Rivendell tradition. He buys the most expensive gifts for his friends and family and gives them out by himself. Receiving isn’t as important to him as giving.
Celebrian: She is in a Christmas mood all day. She is seen busy running around checking on everything for the party and wants everything to be more than perfect from the Christmas tree decoration to the food. Even how the servants are dressed. She, like her husband, also loves to give out presents to the elflings, but prefers to give them out herself. She can’t help it. She adores children. Also adores dancing to slow songs with Elrond at the party.
Arwen: The only thing she is busy with is thinking with what she will be at the party in the evening. She will pick out the perfect dress from the finest fabrics in all of Arda, the most expensive and beautiful accessories from earrings to her headdress. She becomes very social, so she will mingle with everyone at the party. She is smiling and laughing all the time and loves receiving presents, though she would pout if something isn’t what she wanted. Will most likely cry at “Last Christmas I gave you my heart“.
Elladan and Elrohir: They are very bubbly the entire day. Even though they are warned not to do anything that would end in the ruin of something, they still pull pranks on whoever catches their eye. They are the ones in charge of the fireworks and special effects for the party and they actually do a great job. That task was given to them after Elrond came to the conclusion that they will only be a nuisance to the people in charge of the decorations and food, because they have proven it one too many times. They are the life of the party and talk with everyone. Even if Elrond tells them to be good, because otherwise he will give them a coal, they don’t listen to him and don’t get coals in the end anyway
Glorfindel: Overall he loves winter. At this time of the year, he becomes especially childish and throws snowballs at Erestor, much to his annoyance, and pushes him in the snow at every possible opportunity. But when he is alone, he would sadden a bit, because he really misses his friends from the First age and he really wishes they were there with him. At the party, he would drink alot and cry with Arwen at “Last Christmas I gave you my heart“ and conceivably at “All I want for Christmas is you“.
Erestor: He would be rather annoyed with all the abnormally happy elves around him. He is grumpy all day, mostly because Glorfindel attacks him with snowballs and pushes him in the snow whenever he so much as shows his head outside. He keeps himself busy with the paperwork in Rivendell and excuses himself from the party by saying “I have important work. The documents aren’t ready and SOMEBODY has to finish them.“. He quickly chooses and buys the first thing he deems good as a present and is also quick to give them out and doesn’t even want anything in return. He chooses the same presents every year and also receives the same presents they gift him with every year.
Lindir: Everything would be perfect for him if Elrond didn’t ask him to make a fool of himself by dressing up as Santa Claus. Every year he avoids being in his Lord’s way, because otherwise it wouldn’t be long until he sees Elrond with the costume in his arms and the horrifying question “Will you do it Lindir?“ and he can’t even object even if it’s a question, because he respects Elrond and does everything he tells him to. Though he wouldn’t kill him if he said no for once. Elrond asks him because the fact that Lindir says yes every year and he thinks he likes this job. Lindir is happy with any present he receives and is generous in return.
Galadriel: She is just as she is on regular days, but all the happiness around her makes her just as happy. She just loves it when everyone around her is so carefree and in such a good mood. She organizes a Christmas party in Lothlorien not so much because she likes the holiday, but because she wants to see everyone smiling and happy. She is also very generous considering gifts and often sends multiple presents to her grandchildren in Rivendell.
Celeborn: He would be just as generous as his wife concerning his relatives in Rivendell. He always knows what to buy and what they would need. Every year he sends an entire cart filled with gifts for Rivendell. He leaves the rest to his wife to take care of.
Haldir: This time of the year would be like any other day for him. He doesn’t turn so much attention to anything really and prefers to work. Honestly, he is annoyed with all the same Christmas songs playing every year and his brothers purposely singing them whenever he is around and wants to just be away from them. That’s why every year he asks Galadriel to work. He doesn’t buy gifts for anyone and prefers to not receive anything because he thinks nobody really knows him enough to buy him what he would think is necessary to him.
Thorin: This is probably one of the worst days for him, because he is just forever confused with what to buy as a gift. He stubbornly refuses to ask for help and just buys whatever he sees and what seems cheapest, but looks good. He leaves Fili and Kili and the rest of his company to organize the Christmas party because all this is just one big confusion to him. Every year is the same for him with all the cheesy Christmas songs and food and drinks. But he loves receiving gifts. If only he didn’t have to give gifts away, on the other hand.
Fili and Kili: They love winter and especially Christmas. They adore to play in the snow. Every winter Erebor is filled with snowmen, snow fords and all sorts of other snow figures, making a small snow town. They also catch a cold after that, but that doesn’t stop them from being their childish selves and even though Dis and Thorin warn them not to go outside too much, they still do it and throw snowballs at eachother as soon as their mother and uncle turn their backs on them. They also love to sing and dance along to the Christmas songs. Concerning the gifts, they don’t really care too much and often give away the first thing they buy and sometimes even pull pranks via the presents. Every year they get matching sweaters, knitted by their mom.
Gimli: It’s all drinking and food to him. He looks forward to Christmas parties just so he can drink, eat, crack jokes and have fun until he wants. Otherwise it’s just the same for him. He would pick out the best present only for Legolas and wouldn’t be disappointed in return. He doesn’t really care about the presents for the rest.
Bard: He rather enjoys this holiday and spreads Christmas spirit everywhere. This is the time when he spends time with his children near the fireplace at home in a cozy atmosphere with hot chocolate and cookies and tells them stories. He would spoil them with gifts and a rich dinner table. The only other person he would buy a present for is Thranduil. Overall this is the time of the year when he feels most happy.
Aragorn: He isn’t in such a giant Christmas mood as the people around him. Of course, he likes it and is in a great mood and loves seeing his loved ones happy. He would attend Elrond’s party and laugh alongside everyone else. He would also love buying and giving out presents, of course the most expensive one being for Arwen. He would most likely be rigged to get under a mistletoe with her. Not that he is complaining of course.
Boromir: Apart from the parties, he doesn’t care much for the holiday. His father would buy him probably millions of presents, much of which he doesn’t even need, but he doesn’t really care for the presents either. He just wants to party like there’s no tomorrow.
Faramir: He loves Christmas and actually enjoys all the cheesy things it comes with. He loves it because it brings families together and he doesn’t go to any parties just so he can be with Eowyn at home cuddling under a blanket in front of the fireplace with eggnog and cookies. He doesn’t even care if he receives like two? gifts. One from Eowyn, one from his brother Boromir and conceivably one from his father, but it would be something stupid and Denethor would have bought it just so Faramir doesn’t say he didn’t buy him anything (lol poor baby).
Eowyn: She loves Christmas because of the same reasons as Faramir. She also buys the gifts like a week before Christmas and would decorate their home a month before and would sing Christmas songs while doing so. She doesn’t insist on going to parties and prefers to spend the evening with Faramir in their cozy home with nice home cooked meals she made (lord save us).
Eomer: He doesn’t look forward to the holiday, just because it’s the same as always to him. Okay, a sweater one year, two years in a row, but every single year... He has a drawer filled with just sweaters he got for Christmas. And “Last Christmas I gave you my heart“ just makes him want to throw himself in the fires of mount Doom.
Frodo: He loves all the Christmas spirit in the hobbits in the Shire. He is seen smiling the entire day, just enjoying himself and would even make a snowman in front of his door at Bag End. He also looks forward to having fun at the party later. He loves to send out and receive gifts and would be happy to anything.
Bilbo: It’s not like he hates Christmas, he just prefers to spend it at home in front of the fireplace with a pipe in his mouth in complete silence and just relax. This is the time when he doesn’t let anyone enter his home, because all the Christmas mood starts to get annoying to him. But in the end he gets dragged to the party by Gandalf, but leaves early anyway. He doesn’t buy gifts and prefers not to get anything in return because he has everything he needs and doesn’t want any unneeded stuff lying around.
Sam: He would spread the good mood all around. He loves buying presents and giving them away and just make people happy. He attends the Christmas party in the Shire to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and just have fun, laugh and dance. He would still leave early so he can spend some more time alone with his family.
Merry and Pippin: Gandalf would leave them in charge of organizing the Christmas party and they would do a very good job. They are the ones to sing, dance and bring life to the party. Concerning the presents, they love to prank the receivers with them.
Gandalf: He would arrive in the Shire with a wagon full of gifts for everyone. His first stop would be Bag End where he would convince Bilbo to come to the party later. He would have just as much fun as his hobbit friends.
-And a very special guest-
Feanor: He would be grumpy and complain the entire day, but nobody would really give him any attention. He hates Christmas as much as he hates everything else. He hates the cheesy songs, the cheesy celebrations, the decorations and especially the greeting “Merry Christmas, Feanor!“. Every year he gets the same ugly sweater and a coal with a heart-shaped note saying “For the fire keeping your hatred alive, love Fingolfin LOL“. And by the end of the evening he is already screaming with anger and turning to ashes lmao.

Of misunderstandings and happy endings

Fandom: The Hobbit Pairing: Fili x reader Genres: mild angst, fluff Words: 1.510 Summary: Fili is teased about his blonde hair; by mistake reader says something about it which causes Fili to withdraw. Fortunately, Kili is there to save the day - requested by Anonymous
The evening was warm enough for a short stroll and that is what you are doing right now. After whole busy day of work, you deemed it more than needed – a stuffy, poorly lit shop usually makes you feel as if you’re suffocating but despite that, you love your job and wouldn’t change it for any other.
With a bow of your head and a bright smile you greet your neighbor as she passes by you. You smooth your jacket, tightening it a little and let your thoughts wander freely.
As per usual for past few weeks, your mind fills with images of a certain dwarf with a mane of gold locks and kind, bright eyes. Fili, Thorin’s nephew, was a frequent customer in your store, more often than not asking for your, and yours only, assistance. It was fluttering, you had to admit it, yet Fili has shown no sign of anything other than simple politeness.
His eyes never stayed locked with yours for too long, he was barely gazing at you, even when you gave him your whole attention. A smile, wide and warm, was plastered to his face, however it fell every time another customer came any near the pair of you. You had a hard time searing for the reason behind his timidity but your boss was fast to explain it to you, in a rather brutal, unpleasant way.
He called Fili ‘prince goldilocks’ with an evident mock in his voice and you knew why Fili always kept his head hung low, rarely spoke aloud too much. He was ashamed of having, quite unusual but not uncommon, blonde hair.
Frankly, it was something that, in your eyes, made him absolutely unique, unlike many other dwarves who visited your shop every day. You enjoyed watching as the sun found its way into his hair, illuminating the gold mane with warm orange light, creating waves of it. Soon enough, you caught yourself looking forward to his visits, only to be able to look at his hair for a moment.
Yet, you never built up courage to compliment him. You didn’t want him to misunderstand your words, most likely having heard enough teasing in his life. You couldn’t find decent words to verbalize your fondness without it being possible to misinterpret and it was the last thing you wanted. And so, you kept your mouth shut, opting to treat Fili with kindness and greet him with a smile, a bit wider that the one reserved for customers. You hoped that he might see it, that he would read the signs correctly and say a word when he’d be ready.
“Y/N?” a voice, the one you knew very well and, sometimes, dreamt of, rings from behind you and you look over your shoulder, a surprised expression on your face.
“Fili! Didn’t expect you to wander around in the evening,” you say, elation bubbling in your chest and a hive of butterflies comes to life in your stomach, prompting your head to spin a little as Fili comes to your side.
“It would be a terrible waste of a nice evening, not going for a walk. Mind if I join you?”
“Not at all.”
He offers you his arm, which you gladly accept, linking yours with his. The corners of his lips curl upward as you turn your eyes, surely shining brightly with excitement, on his. Fili opens his mouth but you’re faster, your lips taking over before your mind can catch up.
“Your hair, Fili, is the single most stunning thing I’ve ever seen.”
“W-what?” Fili knits his eyebrows, his forehead creased and you notice a bit of hurt appearing in his eyes. “Why would you say that?”
“Because it’s true!” you assure and gasp when he jerks his arm away from yours, halting in his tracks.
“I mean it, Fili, I truly do,” you try again, softer and more patient but Fili hears none of it. Guilt takes a residence in your guts as Fili shakes his head and turns around, quickly disappearing between buildings.
You sigh, biting on your bottom lip to prevent tears from falling. No point in dwelling on it, you think to yourself as you head back home, time to find a way to make amends.
_____
An opportunity comes two days later, unexpectedly and with a rush, in a form of no other than Fili’s brother, Kili. He storms into the store just before the closing time when you prepare everything for the next day.
“How may I help you?” you ask politely, although you start to feel irritated by Kili’s haste and the fact that he can nothing but pant as he catches his breath from the run.
He points a finger upwards, signalizing that he needs a bit more time and so you resume your previous task.
“Fili’s upset,” he says matter-of-factly after couple of minutes and you shift your gaze from noting the orders and onto Kili’s flushed face. His lips are parted and he’s still breathing heavily but his eyes are serious and worried. Guilt reappears in your stomach.
“Forgive me, I said something stupid.”
“You mentioned you liked his hair, right?”
“Yes,” you admit shamefully and Kili grimaces, nodding his head.
“He’s a bit sensitive about it. Since everyone’s deriding him. Mahal’s beard, he gets more jests and teases than I do for my facial hair. Or lack thereof, to be precise. Anyways, Y/N, do you fancy my brother?” he asks straightforwardly as he collapses on a chair in the corner, meant for you or any other worker to have a break from walking.
You lean against the table.
“I do. And I did not mean to offend him. I’m really fond of him, gold-haired or not. ”
“Wonderful!” Kili exclaims and claps his hands, startling you a little. His excitement is contagious and you feel yourself smile widely as he jumps from his seat and pulls you into a tight embrace.
“He doesn’t shut up about you, I swear. All I hear is ‘Y/N this’, Y/N that’, ‘Y/N wore this lovely green dress today’, things like that.”
“He-he talks about me?”
“Astonishing, innit?” Kili chuckles, amused by your shocked expression. “Now, would you like me to help you fix what’s between you? Or what may be between you and my dear brother?” he quirks his eyebrow, sporting a smug expression and you hesitate for a moment, before eventually agreeing to Kili’s plan.
After all, he knows his brother well.
_____
Kili had a plan. A simple one, admittedly, but you’ve learnt that simpler wasn’t always worse, so you decided to run with it.
And so, just as Kili instructed, you are now walking aimlessly in a spot he’s asked to wait. Then, he’s supposed to, somehow, direct Fili there so that it looked like the two of you are here by chance.
You hope it will work out. You only wish to have a chance to apologize Fili for your unfortunate choice of words and wrong time for such a statement. He’ll surely understand.
Fidgeting with your fingers, you pace the road, curiously peaking on the alleys leading to the main road. You assume Kili is going to, most likely, drag Fili there, using one of the alleys.
You’re growing more and more anxious as minutes pass with no sign of Kili and Fili and you begin to think that you were a victim of Kili’s pranks. Just as you are about to go home, an agitated Fili emerges from one of the alleys, grunting under his nose something that very much resembles curses.
“Good evening, Fili,” you say softly and his head snaps towards you, his eyes widening from surprise.
“What a coincidence, isn’t it?”
“Is it my brother’s doing? You and Kili, are the two of you trying to ridicule me?”
“No, Fili, believe me!” you take a step towards him, extending your hand to take his in a tender, soothing gesture.
“Kili only gave me an opportunity to amend my previous deed. I am sorry for my poor attempt on complimenting you.”
“It was a compliment?” he asks, sounding disbelieving, his mouth slightly parted and you flash him a reassuring smile, nodding.
“Well, then, I apologize for my reaction. I thought you were making fun of me.”
“Oh, Fili, how could I? Your hair is what makes you unique!”
“You really think that, Y/N? That I’m unique?”
“Yes, Fili.”
His lips spread into beautiful joyous smile and you can’t help but smile back, squeezing his hand tightly. Without hesitation, Fili laces his fingers with yours and pulls you after him.
“Would you have a walk with me? It would be a terrible waste of a nice evening, if we didn’t.”
“I’d love to.”
Two hours later, as you close your home’s door behind yourself, your hand gingerly touches a brand new courting braid. Your fingers slide over the bean that adorns it and you beam.
Luckily, Kili was there for the two of you and you can’t be more grateful for his meddling.

Pairing: Kili x reader
Requested: No
A/N: Second part, hope you enjoy. Also my school started, and we’re not really doing anything just yet. I also do have some imagines in drafts I’ve started writting, but I’ve never posted them, so idk if I’m gonna finish them and then post them at least once a week along with this series (once every two to three days I’d like to post parts of this series as a thank you for 30 followers!)...? Also, I’ve been thinking of maybe drawing some fan arts to this series? Also, I’m writting this in Word, and so far we are on a ten pages, so I’ve decided to cut the end of this one and post something else tomorrow.

All of them looked at you with different mix of curiousity, suspicion and hope. You looked over to Gandalf with pleading look to help you, but he was already talking with some of the dwarves, from their angry tone you assumed they weren’t very pleased of where this was going, so you decided to talk, even through you were still a bit shocked, to some of whom weren’t in any discussion.
Which happened to be Bilbo.
He looked very lost and his face held sad and hopeless look. You sighed.
„I’m really sorry for you all, but you, Bilbo, got another shock, didn’t you?“ You asked that hobbit. He jumped up and when he realized it was you, he sadly with sad smile shook his head.
„Yeah, it’s been very...difficult to deal with leaving my home. I’ve been missing it all the time, but I got used to it.“ You offered him a warm smile and patted his shoulder.
„I belive you’ll see your hobbit hole again. I’ll try and help you.“ He gave you a weak smile and nodded.
„Thank you a lot, it’s really nice from you, miss...?“ He looked at you and you realized you didn’t even introduced yourself.
„Oh, my name’s Y/N. I’m Y/N.“
„It’s very nice to meet you, miss Y/N.“ You glanced over and noticed by the corner of your eye Kili’s expression.
Third person pov
Kili have been eyeing you since you’ve let him, Fili and Thorin inside and wanted to learn more about you, especially when you called him by his name. You knew him, but he didn’t knew you, for Mahal’s sake!
The clothes you’ve given to him was dry and comfortable, even if it wasn’t something he was used to back in Middle-Earth. He wanted to talk to you, not only because of being curious of where did you knew his name from – but also because he felt something and wanted, needed to be close to you.
When you started talking, he was watching you, every single move of yours – he could see you were nervous and still a bit pale from shock, but he was hanging on every single word you said (which, he knew, will Fili take advantage of and tease him on every single opportunity he will get).
When you said you thought about a way to explain why do you know all of them, Fili turned to him to affiliate him into discussion, but he noticed the way his brother’s jaw clenched and if looks could kill, Bilbo would be dead.
You and Bilbo were talking about his home and Fili noticed that when you assuringly smiled at Bilbo and placed your hand on his shoulder, Kili averted his gaze, but in a few seconds he looked back at you. Fili chuckled. He’s gonna be teasing him about being jealous of that halfling they were playing pranks at.
It seemed like Kili got back for his prank with horse hairs, which he rubbed over handkief, then gave it to Bilbo, whom couldn’t use it, because he was sneezing all the time.
Now that hobbit got not only your attention, but also you touched him.
Kili was now having a pouting face he did since both Kili and Fili could remember, and Fili chuckled to himself. Kili wouldn’t admit he was jealous, especially because of you and Bilbo talking. And Fili knew that.
He nudged him to ribs and murmed.
„I’m begging you, behave.“ Kili flinched, but his eyes weren’t leaving your face.
„I am behaving.“ Fili chuckled.
„If looks could kill, Bilbo would be dead. That is not behaving.“
„I didn’t do anything!“ He whispered-hissed-yelled. Fili chuckled.
„You look like you want to jump over the table and choke him. Tsk tsk brother.“
„What are you two talking about?“ Kili froze and Fili did too. It was you.
„I-uhm-“ Kili looked to Fili for help. He was doing this rarely, but if he did, Fili knew he was hopeless.
„It was nothing, really.“ He said and inhaled to say something else, but Kili was quicker.
„I, uh, you know my name, right?“
Your pov
„I, uh, you know my name, right?“ Said Kili and you nodded. He was your favourite character, even if you didn’t liked the moments when him and Fili made Bilbo to go against the trolls, or when they were pranking him and making fun of that poor little thing.
„Yeah, I do.“ An awkvard silence came up between you two. You shyly smiled towards him, finding him attractive, and looked over the table. You stood up again.
„Don’t be afraid. Only that...,“ you looked at Gandalf and he nodded.
„I’m not sure how are you going to take it.“ You went to your living room and pulling out a visibly readen book, The Hobbit. It was in the upper shelf, where nobody really paid attention to the books. This book was old and you couldn’t risk if somebody would lose it or destroy it.
You came back to the kitchen and inhaled deeply.
„This is the first thing, but before that I need you to tell me, honestly, what happened before you appeared in-or near-,“ you said, looking over the Durins,
„My house.“
„We were escaping from the Mirkwood,“ Thorin said with a glare shot to Thranduil, whom snorted quietly. Legolas furrowed his brows.
„We were on a feast of starlight,“ He said, being absolutely certain.
„Wasn’t it more of escaping from the goblins?“ Balin looked at Thorin sleepishly. This time it was Bilbo who furrowed his brows.
„I thought we were-“
„Bilbo!“ That was Kili.
„Kili!“ That was Fili.
„You two!“ That was Thorin.
„Dwarves,“ That was Thranduil and Legolas.
„Can you just calm down? Miss Y/N is trying to help us here and you’re making it more difficult than we need it to be.“ Bard got up from his seat. You smiled at him, thankful he stood up for you.
„Thank you, Bard. Okay, so you don’t wanna tell me that. Great. But you’ll understand why I was asking this question,“ you said mysteriously. All of them sat closer now, even if the dwarves would be still arguing it was true.
You sat down, opened the book, deeply inhaled and started reading.
They were shocked, to say at least.
You’ve red a first few pages and let them to ask questions. There was many of them, to say at least.
„How do you know all that?“
„How old is that book?“
„Where is it from?“
„Are you a magician?“
All of the questions, creating live and happy chit-chat, quickly shutted down by Thorin’s gaze, when he stood up and suspiciously stared at you.
„How do we know we can trust you?“ You opened your mouth to answer, but Thranduil’s eye-roll was quicker. You giggled.
„Well, I know your stories. And if you don’t believe me after you’ve seen and heard something from this book – I‘ve got a few editions of them, from different years – you are probably gonna believe me after you’ll see the movies.“ Thorin’s brows furrowed.
„A movies? What is it?“ Balin placed his hand on Thorin’s shoulder and murmed something, before the dwarf king sat down.
„Does she wants to offend us?“ Turned Dwalin (getting angry) to Gandalf.
„You have to believe her, Dwalin. She knows this world, and this is surely nothing that would have the intention to offend any of you.“ He looked also at Thorin while he way saying these words, and he looked back at you and you nodded. Meanwhile, Thranduil shot him a glare and turned to you.
„Alright, so are you going to show us, that, ehm, movie? What is it about?“ He asked the question that any of them was thinking of. You nodded and dramatically inhaled, overhearing Fili’s ‚Is she okay?‘ and smiled inwardly.
„It’s about an introvert being forced to go outside.“ All of their faces fell and you started laughing and shook your head.
„What is introvert?“ Kili asked, bit confused. You decided to tell them about this later.
„Well, actually, it’s about Bilbo, here,“ you patted his shoulder and the hobbit’s eyes grew wide.
„Who was sighed as a burglar by Gandalf to the company of Thorin Oakenshield,“ you looked over the table to find Gandalf nodding and Thorin looking slightely surprised, but pleased.
„To get back the dwarvish kingdom Erebor,“ You looked over the dwarves and noticed Kili’s eyes sparkling and your stomach did a backflip. Oh, these puppy eyes were always a thing you knew you couldn’t resist to.
„From dragon called...“
„Smaug,“ Kili and Fili said at once. You chuckled.
„Now, wait here and you can read the book, the movie is based on it. Just, please,“ You looked especially on Fili and Kili,
„be careful. It’s an old book, I found it in antiquarian bookstore, and red it way too many times, because it’s my favourite edition.“ And left to prepare living room for the movie.
Fili’s pov
„You were unusually quiet,“ I nudged Kili. He just shrugged it off.
„I’m not loud all the time,“ He tried to argue but I only chuckled. I knew him my whole life. I couldn’t unnotice his sudden change of behavior.
„Yes, you are, plus, you’re staring at Master Baggins as if you’d wanted to kill him, again. So, aren’t you going to tell me what’s going on, Kee?“ Kili shook his head and averted his gaze to the table. Then, he mumbled something and refused to meet my gaze.
„Oh, I see,“ I mumbled enough for him to hear it. I tilted towards him.
„You like her and you hate that she’s giving Bilbo more attention than to you.“ Kili did pouted his lips and still refused to meet my gaze. I chuckled.
„I knew, it, I knew it!“ I laughed and Kili was hissing at me.
„Shut, it, just shut up, Fili, she’ll hear-“
