Headcanon: Leo With an Affectionate S/O Would Be Like...

Request: (Not sure if you do multiple, if not, either is okay!) Can I request headcannons for Shura and Leo with an affectionate reader?

A.N. Here is the Leo part of this request!

Leo is not an affectionate person. He always brushes off any affection that his siblings give him and doesn't want anything to do with it.

If you are very affectionate, he will do his best to cater to your needs without crossing his own boundaries.

Leo's boundaries would be very clear from the beginning of your relationship. He would expect you not to cross his boundaries but understands that you are an affectionate person and will never snap at you or blame you for anything. He wouldn't want to upset you, but he would clarify if something you did make him uncomfortable.

Leo doesn't like PDA. If you are in public or where many people could see you, Leo would not want to show much affection. He is not embarrassed by you. He just isn't comfortable putting your relationship on display.

He will link his arm with yours when walking down the street. He says it is because he is a gentleman, and it would be a disgrace if he didn't escort you. However, he does enjoy having you close without making a big show out of it.

When in private, Leo will be very different. He would always be open to accepting your affection. He will always have time for you even if he is working or has other things to do.

Even though Leo doesn't really initiate affection, he doesn't want to make you feel like your affection is one-sided. So he will occasionally surprise you with hugs, cuddles, or kisses. He enjoys surprising you because he gets to see your happy and shocked face full of love.

Leo enjoys holding you close when going to sleep. It relaxes him and helps him recharge. He also likes to hold you a little longer in the morning. It gives him a boost to get through the day.

There are times when Leo breaks his own rules. He usually won't show much affection to you when too many people can see. When he is having a rough day, he will seek you out no matter how many people are around.

With Leo, you will never feel like your affection is one-sided. You will always feel loved, and he will never leave you feeling needy.

If not for the fact, omg poor Camilla, I really see Camilla as someone who...wouldn't stop having babies until she couldn't no more.

My initial vibe for camilla was that she's someone who really wants kids, which I think is how a lot of people see her—which is why I married her to Laslow instead of having her be gay lol. But after she actually did have a kid in my save and got her ending, I completely changed my mind. If she's married to someone random I don't really think she'd want kids that much. Her thing is that she loves her family, which already exists, not that she wants kids. (The idea of her going back to Ylisse with Laslow felt so Bad to me lol)

However, she loves her existing family. A lot. Abnormally so, one might say. So if she were with Leo (or Xander or Corrin), I think yep she would have so many kids. And she would love it. She'd love being pregnant, she'd love growing her family, and she'd absolutely love the fact that she can create a big family without having to be married off and separated from her siblings.

Like... I feel like if she had kids with [insert random potential husband or political marriage partner], she'd feel a it distant to them. A bit lonely, and always long to be back in Nohr and with her siblings. But if she had kids with one of her brothers?? She would love them to DEATH.

Pokemon Scarlet/Violet - Voice Actor Headcanons.

So here’s the latest update of this little series on my blog where I assign official voice actors to characters that don’t have them. I also did this with the previous title, Legends: Arceus.

I have to reiterate the same points every time, but it’s just so we’re all aware - 

This is NOT CANON. These are HEADCANONS and are unofficial. It’s just a hypothetical situation. If the characters were voiced, this is who I imagine would voice them.

Every major character in both games is included here, so there are HEAVY SPOILERS for the game’s main storylines. DO NOT READ THIS POST IF YOU HAVE NOT PLAYED THE GAME OR DON’T WANT TO BE SPOILED.

What Fire Emblem games have you played? Path of Radiance, Radiant Dawn, Sacred Stones, Awakening, Fates Conquest route, 3 Houses, Engage. I have read the scripts for Genealogy and Thracia. Halfway through Blazing Blade!

Do you believe you have a type of character you gravitate towards writing? I love my flirts, and I also enjoy more serious characters who have a relaxed side if you know them well enough. Also youngest siblings.

Do you have characters or types of characters you don’t think you can handle writing, but wish you could? Villains! As interesting and multifaceted as they can be, I struggle staying within that mindset for a long period of time.

What kind of scenes, situations etc do you believe you enjoy writing the most? (If you filled this out last year, has this changed in any way?) I do still enjoy combat--nothing like getting your adrenaline pumping!--but recently I've found I enjoy some of the more emotional things, too. Relationships, grief, etc.

Do you have any scenario in mind for your muse(s) that gets you thinking “man I hope I get to write this one day”? Not really; I've been extremely lucky over the years to have written pretty much every scenario I can think of. I would love to continue exploring both Lazzy's and Leo's arcs as fathers.

Favorite TOA-related memories? Oh goodness....way too many to count! Most recently, I still find myself laughing over Leo (muse) dying for Jan 2024's event plot. Iconic

When I picked up Fire Emblem Awakening all those years ago as a wide-eyed kid, I went out of my way to unlock every support conversation, including for Nowi. The trope of "oh it's okay to marry her if she's basically a child, she's actually 1,000 years old" IS gross, and so are a lot of things about her design, I will not defend that. But I will throw Nowi one, solidarity crumb of apologetics; if my memory serves, it's shown in many of her conversations that her childish behavior is actually, well, a complete act. In those thousand years she was alive, she experienced a lot of hardship and grief, and at times can offer genuine wisdom to the people around her. It's just that she finds it's a lot more fun to act silly and childish, and she likes disarming people (this is meant to serve as a contrast to her daughter in the future, Nah, who acts very mature and serious despite the fact she's very immature deep down. I kind of think Nah deserved to be here more than Nowi despite having a more conservative design, since a good handful of her supports were really bad, but that's just me. It's the same crappy trope either way).

Elise, however? Elise does not have this factor. Her immaturity isn't a guise for anything. She is that childish but we're supposed to just take it at face value that she's ~technically an adult~ through some throwaway line from Leo. Despite this, her age is never confirmed and everything about her seems to be designed to read as "man, this girl is fucking 12 at most". The whole game, she loves you as her sibling. She calls you "big bro/big sis". Idk. I'm hardly a squeamish person, it takes a lot to disturb me, and Elise isnt the worst thing I've ever seen. But the fact that she can be romanced always rubbed me the wrong way way more than anything else in her game and honestly this whole franchise.

(**it doesn't help as well that the child unit mechanics are a lot more unsettling in Fire Emblem Fates. At least in Awakening, your child units arrive from an apocalyptic future using time travel shenanigans. Since this is the case, there is wiggle room to imagine when those kids were actually conceived, like, maybe Nowi hit a random growth spurt within the next couple years before she had her daughter or something, which is a bit ridiculous, but it's not impossible. Elise doesn't have that luxury. The second you marry her off, whether it's to her STEPBROTHER or any of the variety of men much older than her in your army, she basically has her kid immediately which is just. No. Why???? Why did u do this IS come on guys)

We traveled through many lands, villages, and summits, fought and slayed tons upon tons of deadly, mystical monsters and evil forces we've encountered thus far, defeated and dethroned the kingdom's former king who turns out to be a diabolical scumbag from the very beginning, I even saved his and our troops' lives from a man eating serpent once by obliterating it to ashes with my dark sorcery!

Kyoko: (Rapidly Clapping While Her Eyes Starts To Sparkle) Ahhhh!~

Dark Pit: (Starts Nodding to Odin's Journey) Hm, is that right? You did pretty well for a prince's retainer.

Odin: (Politely Bows at Pitto a Bit) Why, thank you, my good man. It was a long, challenging journey for each of us to endure in those days, but it's a blessing to know that we had enough willpower to persevere until our victory was finally seized that day.

Misako: Cool story. (Takes a Sip of her Drink) So how did you even get here to begin with?

Kyoko: Yeah. (Takes a Chili Cheese Fry From the Basket and Eats It) That travel of yours must've been REALLY long if it got you sleeping on the sidewalks.

Odin: ('Sighs Heavily') Ohh you have no idea......After the war came to an end and the truce between Nohr and Hosido was made, I decided to part ways with my prince and comrades as I started my anew journey of my own. It was a long, superly long and exhausting road ahead, so much so that I ended up crawling at one point, which was terrible by the way, would not recommend for traveling sake.

Kyoko: (Raises an Eyebrow in Curiosity) Where did you started crawling at exactly?

Odin: In the desert. An extremely hot one.

Dark Pit/Misako: Yeesh.

Misako: That.....Couldn't be pleasant.

Odin: I'm not sure......I just saw it twirling around out of thin air for a few seconds before gaining me it's access. I was too hot and dehydrated at the time, that I didn't try and question what was going on. I just crawled my way inside and before I know it, my entire body was traveling across time and space in a speed of light, as if I was being taken into another world. And load and behold, I was sent to this....."Local Smash Beach" I awoken from. I started roaming around the town shortly after until I eventually passed out on that spot on sidewalk, where I was found by you three: (Extends his Habd Out at the Trio) My new faithful, companions!.......Er.....Question. Fire emblem ages are something that are the weirdest to me too.

For the most part no one is given an age, I think the switch games are among the first where people are given canon ages.

I imagine Robin to be in their early 20s maybe like 22-23 then 24-25 post time skip (it was 2 years after Gangrel is killed right). I’m basing this on Chrom being perhaps 21 and Lissa maybe being 16 and Emmeryn being maybe mid-late 20s.

I peg Corrin at 19 or 20. I think that would make sense because Ryoma/Xander are probably mid or late 20s. Camilla/Hinoka maybe mid/early 20/ though I imagine Camilla to be slightly older than Hinoka. Takumi/Leo are probably 15-17. Elise I say is probably 12 and Sakura maybe 13-14. Corrin is older than Takumi/Leo but younger than Hinoka/Camilla, so 19-20 I think is safe for Corrin.

I’d say Byleth is probably 23 or 24 and didn’t age at all when asleep during the timeskip. Byleth is easier to peg because most of the students are 17 (some are older some are younger) and you’re definitely older than all of them.

Then Alear is probably the hardest to put an age on. Dragon aging is such a fucking mess in fire emblem and you can’t really put an age on them. Nowi for example is 1000s of years old but looks like a prepubescent child. I know that’s probably for the weirdos who like lolis but can skirt around being creepy by saying “but they’re technically 1000.”

We don’t know how long it had been since Gradlon existed. We don’t know how long it took Sombron to go from being exiled to starting a war. We know that Alear looks like a teenager but is at least 1000 years old but we don’t know how old Alear was before sleeping.

We also don’t have any idea how old Veyle is exactly.

(Ship Game!) Anankos/the Trio (you know I was going to ask this)

For anyone not aware, the Trio in this case refers to Odin, Selena, and Laslow (FE Fates). Or, if you only played Fire Emblem Awakening, Owain, Severa, and Inigo.

Anyways, I 100% ship Anankos/Trio!!!

What made you ship it?

I started shipping Anankos/Trio through a combination of discussions with @someobscurereference and the Fates DLC where it shows how Owain, Severa, and Inigo were brought into Fates. Human version of Anankos so desperate to save his child he pulls three random warriors from an Entirely Different Dimension? That's already some top tier story telling. However, the added characterization for the Trio helps with this ship. Their willingness to immediately jump dimensions to lend a hand to someone in need warms my heart. War and surviving a bad timeline haven't jaded them; instead it has opened their hearts and empathy!

This, coupled with the fact that ObscureReference and I have joked about the Trio very into hot people who happen to be supernatural and thus the ship was born. It also helps that before I shipped Xanlow, Leo Trio, Camilla/Selena, I loved Awakening Trio OT3 with all my heart. Adding in Anankos (whose cipher card art is Very Hot) was an easy step for me!

2. What are your favourite things about the ship?

My favourite part of this ship is how the Trio instantly agree to help Anankos in the DLC. They don't ask questions or hesitate. Instead, they leap into action to lend aid to someone in need.

But my other favourite part of the ship is how Anankos gives the Trio his blood. In the DLC it's obviously a game mechanic to let us use dragon veins. Canon/lore wise this means Anankos summoned some very cute/hot warriors and instantly was like "Hey want to drink my blood thus tying some of my powers to you forever?" Like, Anankos if you wanted the Trio with you forever you can just give them a ring.

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

Look, I think the amount of people who ship this can fit into a row boat, so I don't think there are any unpopular opinions. However, my personal favourite head canon for this ship is imagining the dynamic between Fallen Anankos and the Trio. I'm always here for some obsessive/possessive sexy dragon with the humans he decided are now his. I won't go into too much detail considering I've written a lot of fics covering this idea. However, any time I can write some dark Anankos/Trio fics, I'm happy.

(Fem) Corrin x Charlotte

And (Fem) Corrin and Mozu

I really like the idea of Charlotte and Corrin’s dynamic

Charlotte is a woman who is purposely perceived as delicate and soft when she’s actually a cold badass of woman

Corrin has been casted into the role of a leader and a warrior when her true nature is a sweet innocent darling

So they’re kind of opposites

And I can imagine Charlotte getting close with Corrin as Corrin sees and appreciates Charlotte for who she really is.

And Charlotte slowly loses interest in chasing men in favor of the one girl who understands her (who’s also royalty)

I just really wanna ship Corrin with girls, like I also ship her with Mozu cause they’re neutral mutuals and they have similar backstories in losing their moms

Plus it’s that princess and a peasant girl dynamic

Not to mention, Corrin was kept ignorant of her true past and now suddenly has to content with the dire fact that she was abducted from her family! Part of what I liked about FE: Fates was the fucked up part where Corrin has to choose between her birth family and her adoptive one. I can see her siding with her adoptive family since her siblings were so kind to her and loved her as if she was truly their sister, but I also liked the flavor of angst Revelations introduced in that Corrin rejects both of her families and has to fight them to end this war. It tugs at my heart strings to see Corrin fight big brother Xander, and Xander struggling to hide his emotions and be the strong heir that Nohr needs.

I actually ship Corrin with Nagito Komaeda from the Danganronpa series lol! They even have twins (both Kanas). But for in-universe ships, I like the Corrin x Silas ship! I just like Silas in general, tbh. He’s like that golden retriever boyfriend who never gives up on Corrin.

And omg a rivalry between Xander and Ryoma! I love this crossover with Pokemon in which Ryoma goes into battle with Zekrom (a black dragon that attacks with lightning) and Xander meets him in battle with Reshiram (a white dragon that breathes fire). The elements of the dragons mirrors the elemental energy of their swords!

Charlotte has shocked me since I first encountered her in the Nohr route. I loved her dichotomy in that she can kick someone’s ass thoroughly and still play the cute card to get what she wants (money). And I loved how the writers gave a pretty legitimate reason for it--she only wants to support her family! And a female fighter who can rip people to shreds with her axe? Hell yeah! I love her little animation where she tosses the axe behind her and does this cute little curtsy thing and plays with her hair. She’s just all around a very good character to play with, and while I haven’t played the games in a long time, I remember that she was one of the heaviest hitters on my team.

Personally, I liked shipping Corrin with Lilith, but then Lilith dies no matter what lol

I also like the idea in a modern AU of Corrin splicing up her week to spend with her Nohrian family and her Hoshidan family. It’s quite chaotic.
