Hold Me in Your Arms

You and Steve are hanging out in the living room, he’s watching a football game and you’re reading while petting Cooper when the doorbell rings, causing Cooper to bark and you to glance over at Steve.

“Are you expecting someone?” Steve asks when you glance up at him from your book.

“No, are you?” Steve shakes his head then stands from his spot on the couch. You follow him to the door and when he opens it your jaw drops.

“Dad?”

“Fawn.” Your Dad says and you stare at him in surprise. “Are you not going to invite me in?” He asks and you feel the hint of an Alpha command but as usual it has no effect on you.

“No, I don’t think we will.” Steve says, his eyes hard.

“I am her Father.”

“Some Father from what I’ve heard.” Steve growls, your Dad’s scent is sour, you can’t help but tuck your face into Steve’s back and breathe deeply trying to rid yourself of your Dad’s scent.

“What are you doing here Dad?” You ask again, this time he lets out a huff but responds.

“I came because I’d heard you’d gone and found yourself an Alpha. I figured I should meet him.”

“Well now you’ve met me. You can go.” Steve says and you have to bite your lip to keep from laughing at the shocked look on your Dad’s face.

“You’re being very rude. I just want to make sure that my daughter is being taken care of.”

“Why do you suddenly care now?” Steve asks, it’s a good question.

“I’ve always cared.” You scoff from behind Steve and your Dad glares at you. “That was very rude Fawn. I raised you better than that.”

“I think you mean mom raised me better than that.” You tell him and he growls lowly. Steve growls back. “Okay, Alpha. I’m fine. He doesn’t scare me.” You tell Steve, you don’t need him getting into another fight over you this week. You step between the two Alphas and glare up at your father. “Why are you really here Dad? Where’s Mom?”

“Your mother is at home, helping care for your brother’s children. Which where you should be. With your pack.”

“I have a new pack now.”

“I am your Leading Alpha. You and your Alpha are to come home with me. Now.” You feel it, the Alpha command that used to make you submit, that used to control you and you laugh.

“You may be a pack leader, but my Alpha is a True Alpha. I’m the True Omega of a pack. I won’t be going anywhere.”

“What?”

“Can’t you feel it?” You ask surprised, “Most Alpha’s don’t need to be told that he’s a True Alpha.”

“You’ve gotten awful mouthy.”

“You mean I won’t bow down to you anymore?”

“Apologize.” Your Dad sneers but you shake your head and lean back into Steve who wraps his arms around you.

“I think it’s time for you to go.” Steve says, “Before I make you.”

“You’d fight your Omega’s father?”

“I don’t need to fight you to make you leave, that’s the beauty of being a True Alpha.”

“Your mother would be ashamed of you.”

“Actually, I think Mom would be pretty proud of me. I Mated for love, not because I was told to.” Steve hums happily in his chest, you feel the vibration from it in your back where you’re pressed against him. Steve presses a kiss to the crown of your head and it’s your turn to hum happily. Your Dad pulls a face but before he can say anything Steve says,

“Go. You’re not welcome in my territory again. Your Omega is welcome if she comes alone but you don’t get a second chance.” Your Dad goes glassy eyed for just a moment then he grits his teeth, glares down at you then turns and storms away. He goes stomping past Bucky who gives him a puzzled look then jogs up the sidewalk.

“Who was that?”

“My Dad.”

“What? Want me to kick his ass?” You laugh softly and shake your head.

“So the photographer can have to cover injuries on both of you? No thanks.”

“I’m insulted that you think he’d get a hit in.” Bucky says following you and Steve into the house. Steve drops down onto the couch but you continue to the kitchen with Bucky following you.

“I’m gonna grab a drink. You want anything Steve?” Bucky asks.

“Water. I don’t trust that Fawn’s Dad is just gonna let me Alpha Command him and be cool with it.” Bucky passes you and it hits you.

“Oh my god.” You gasp and Bucky looks at you, “You’re seeing an Omega!”

“What? No I’m not.”

“James Barnes I can smell her on you.”

“That’s just Becca.” He attempts to lie and you fold your arms over your chest giving him your most disbelieving look.

“Becca is one of my best friends. Would you like to try that again?” You inhale deeply, “She smells lovely. Like, Jasmine and Rose. I’ve smelled that before. Where have I smelled that?”

“In a garden? Look, please don’t say anything to Steve. She’s not ready for this to be a big thing and I really, really like her Fawn.”

“If there’s anything I can do to ease her mind please let me know.”

“Thanks. I just, I know she’s my Omega but I’m worried about coming on too strong, she kinda reminds me of you at the beginning. I think something happened with an Alpha but she hasn’t told me.”

“She probably won’t. I still haven’t told Steve everything that Peter did.”

“Why?”

“He wouldn’t like it and it doesn’t matter anymore. I have Steve, my past brought me to him and that’s what matters.” Bucky hums lowly as you pull two frozen pizzas out of the freezer.

“Any advice?” You start the oven before turning to look at him.

“Just be patient. I know it’s hard but being an Omega is exhausting and it’s really hard to trust Alphas. Show her that you respect her and her boundaries.”

“Thanks Fawn.” He says with a small smile. He heads back into the living room with his beer and Steve’s water but you’re not alone for long.

“Everything okay?” Steve asks coming up behind you wrapping an arm around your shoulders.

“Yea, just thinking.” You tell him, “thank you for having my back earlier and letting me mostly handle my Dad.”

“Of course Honey.” He says brushing his lips over your Mark. “Want me to stay for a minute?”

“Yes please. Can you just stay there until I put the pizzas in?”

“Yea Honey.”

Oh no, someone caught you doing a bad thing. Which one would you rather it be?

-You weren’t actually going to give the drink to your boyfriend, you think. Maybe? You’re just so angry with him. It’s your bad luck though that Steve catches you pouring a little antifreeze into your boyfriend’s whiskey.

-You should have googled some more, because cutting brake lines is even harder than you thought it would be. It doesn’t help that Ari finds you under the car, tools in hand. 

-You’re stealing your ex’s cat because you believe it’s the morally correct thing to do. And you’re setting his house on fire because you want to. It’s just too bad that Bucky catches you with a cat carrier in one hand, and lighter fluid in the other.

Oh I love a scorned reader trying to get a little revenge.

Dark!Mafia Steve catches you red-handed. You can't do anything in his bar without him knowing. He'll help you finish off your ex but for a price. A wedding ceremony sounds fair to him. Avengers: Age of Ultron

Summary: You and Sam are disconnected from the world during a mission in the Amazon while following a lead to track down Bucky. How much stuff can really happen in a week?

After the fall of Shield you're stuck with Sam to look for Bucky while Steve teamed up once again with the Avengers to retrieve Loki’s staff and bring Hydra down once and for all.

They’ve been doing a good job apparently, unlike you and Sam that have had no luck tracking down your missing supersoldier.

Tonight you get a break, though, as you got invited to the party Stark is throwing to ‘celebrate the revels of victory’, as the Captain so normally put it in his text.

When you step out of the elevator you see Natasha on the couch talking to Colonel Rhodes and you walk over to say hi.

You chat a bit with them before Rhodey, as he told you to call him, goes to look for Tony and you make your way to the bar with Nat.

“So... how’s the testosterone filled team treating you?” you ask her while she makes you your favorite drink without you even having to ask.

“If you saw how much time those guys spend on their hair, you’d know you and I bring more testosterone to the table than them.” She tells you smirking and you laugh as you take the drink she hands you.

You look around you and notice Bruce making his way to the bar, so you turn back to Natasha and say “Here comes your damsel in distress.” and you wink at her as walk away, going to find someone you know.

You find Sam at the pool tables. “Hey, you just missed me kicking Steve’s ass.” he says when he sees you.

“Are you sure you weren’t just daydreaming, birdboy?” he tries to glare at you but ends up laughing with you, inviting you to play with him.

Obviously, you beat him and then suddenly he’s not in the mood to play anymore.

“Aww, are you mad I kicked your ass?” you coo at him and giggle at his pout.

You guys find Steve and start making your way to the second floor as he tells you about the team’s last mission.

“Sounds like a hell of a fight, sorry we missed it.” Sam says.

“If I had known it was going to be a firefight I absolutely would have called you.” Steve said.

“No, we’re not actually sorry.” you clarify ”He’s just trying to sound tough.” they both laugh with you.

“Yeah, we’re very happy chasing cold leads on our missing persons case. Avenging is your world.” Sam says as you make it to the overlook.

“Your world is crazy.” you add, seeing the whole room from your elevated point of view.

“Be it ever so humble.” Steve says, looking around too.

“You find a place in Brooklyn yet?” you ask after a moment of silence.

“I don't think I can afford a place in Brooklyn.” he says, glancing at you and you laugh.

“Well, home is home, you know?” Sam says.

You keep talking for a bit, then make your way downstairs where you meet new people here and there and chat with various Avengers, until eventually it gets late.

“Are you sure you don’t want to stay here tonight?” Steve asks you and Sam while you wait for the elevator “We have guest rooms.”

“As much as I’d like to see how Stark lives,” you start “we have an early flight tomorrow.”

“We’re following some breadcrumbs on our missing robot.” Sam clarifies at Steve’s confused look, making both him and you roll your eyes.

“Gotcha. Good luck.” he says directly to you, glancing at Sam that's now glaring at you both while you chuckle.

You say your goodnights and step into the elevator. You give Sam a ride to his apartment and then drive to your own, going to bed right away.

You begrudgingly wake up earlier than you would’ve liked to and meet up with Sam to catch your flight.

“Morning, sunshine.” he says, chuckling at your hangover state.

“Bite me, Wilson.” is all you can muster the energy to say.

“Why did you drink so much last night if you knew we had to wake up early?” he's not even trying to hide his amusement.

“It’s not how much, it’s what.” you say while sipping the coffee he thankfully brought you. “This is the last time I let Romanoff make my drinks.”

“Well, have a long flight so you’ll have time to sleep.” he says, letting you rest your head on his shoulder while wrapping his arm around you, stroking your arm as you wait for your plane to start boarding.

“Thank fucking god.” you mumble and you hear him laugh quietly.

You’ve gotten close with Sam since you started your manhunt for the Winter Soldier previously known as Sergeant James Buchanan ‘Bucky’ Barnes. 

You already spent a lot of time together when you started with both Sam and Steve, but ever since the Captain started taking down Hydra bases with the Avengers all your time is now spent solely with the Falcon. 

You fly together everywhere your leads take you, you spend days on end in each other’s company and you research together as much as you can about Bucky and Hydra in between missions when you’re home.

You’re basically best friends now.

Sometimes you think the only good thing that honestly has come from your search is your friendship with Sam at this point, but you’re trying to stay positive knowing how much this means to Steve.

You board the plane and, once again, rest your head on Sam’s shoulder as you fall asleep.

When you wake up, about an hour before landing, you notice Sam fell asleep too. You smile at his peaceful face, it’s always nicer to be around him when he’s not talking shit. 

You finally land and get ready to spend a whole week in the middle of the Amazon with no reception and just Sam’s dumb ass for company.

“We really don’t get paid enough for this shit.” you say as you sit back in your seat with your eyes closed, your body almost giving out because of exhaustion. 

“Now, that’s something we can agree on.” Sam chuckles, as tired as you and still a fucking ray of sunshine. How does he do it, you don’t know.

You’ve just spent a hellish week in the depths of the Amazon forest. You almost died about three thousand and sixteen times and all you have to show for it is scars and bruises and bites of insects the size of cats. 

You didn’t even have time to clean up before your flight, the closest thing to a shower you had all week being when you fell into a river trying to help Sam out and then both of you almost fell down a waterfall.

A. Fucking. Waterfall.

You both basically passed out during the flight, being awakened suddenly after what felt like only a second by a flight attendant. Both of you were so startled that you almost pulled your guns on her.

You're already waiting in line for a taxi before it even crosses your mind to check your phone. Really, how much stuff could have happened in the seven days you were gone?

Turns out, a lot.

Like literally the robot uprisings and flying cities kind of a lot.

You were frozen staring at your phone when Sam’s voice finally registers as he says your name and shakes you a little, effectively taking you out of your daze.

“Have you checked your phone?” you ask, ignoring all his questions, still scrolling through the hundreds of texts from both Natasha and Steve.

“What the hell…” is all you hear from him a minute later and you don't need to look up to know his actions are now mirroring your own.

Before you know it you're entering a taxi and giving the address of the Avengers Tower while ignoring the skeptical look on the driver’s face once he takes notice of your disheveled appearance.

You're both on your phones in a second, you with Natasha and Sam with Steve, letting them know you're alive and assuring yourselves that they're okay too.

They greet you at the front door of the Tower, offering you to stay here for the night and this time you both accept. 

After a much needed shower, you sit down with the rest of the team for dinner and they tell you in more detail about what happened.

Natasha waits until you're alone in her room to tell you about Bruce, and you do your best to comfort her resulting in both of you falling asleep in her bed. 

The morning after Steve tells you and Sam that the remaining Avengers are be relocating to a new facility in Upstate New York, and asks you both to join the team.

Needless to say, neither of you need more than a second to think about it. Obviously you're both in.

You spend the next few months getting to know the Avengers both old and new while the new building was being restructured, and now here you are at the new Avengers Compound for your first day as an official Avenger.

Clint’s home with his family, you and Nat visited when Laura gave birth to little Nathaniel.

Thor’s got some big space adventure, Banner is still nowhere to be found and Tony’s on his way home to Pepper.

So now it’s up to Natasha and Steve to train the new Avengers: Rhodey aka War Machine, Vision, Sam aka the Falcon, Wanda and, proudly, you.

Steve and Natasha enter the room you were all waiting in and everyone falls silent, very eager to try you new suits and gadgets, courtesy of Stark Industries. 

“Avengers…” Steve says, in his captain voice.

This is gonna be fun.

Falling Asleep Together

It’s a long day of travel to get from Upstate New York to the French Polynesian islands. Steve doesn’t rest, you sleep on every plane that you’re on, curled into him in the massive first class seats.

“Alpha you need to sleep.” You tell him on your third and second to last flight.

“I’m fine.”

“It’s been almost 24 hours.”

“Omega,” he rumbles lowly. “I’m fine.” You can see the exhaustion in his eyes and level him with a look.

“We have a six hour layover.”

“I’ll be fine.” You know that this is one of the places that has the little tube hotels and while it doesn’t sound the most comfortable you want him to get some sleep. You order one of the hotels and even though it says you can only fit one person per pod you’re fairly confident you and Steve will fit in one. Even if it’s uncomfortable you doubt he’d sleep in one alone.

When you get off the plane holding Steve’s hand you pull him behind you to the pod.

“Ta da.” You tell him with a grin and he looks confused.

“What’s this?”

“Hotel pod. They’ve got a bed, charging station and snacks.”

“I don’t know.”

“Alpha.” You put your hands on your hips, “what is your plan? To not sleep the entire trip? You can’t protect me if you’re exhausted.” Steve sighs heavily then gestures for you to go ahead. You put both your suitcases and carryon bags into the storage and lock it then climb the little ladder to get into the pod. When Steve doesn’t follow you glare at him.

“Close it so I can make sure no one can get in.” You sigh at him but Steve just folds his arms over his chest and stares back at you.

“Fine.” You grumble before closing and locking the sliding door you hear him rattle it, the whole unit shakes and you can’t help but laugh at how ridiculous this must look to an outsider. He knocks twice and you open the door with both eyebrows raised.

“Satisfied?”

“I suppose.” He says before climbing into the unit with you. He closes the door and locks it, “get some sleep Honey.”

“That’s all I’ve been doing. You need the sleep.”

“I stay up this long for work all the time.”

“This is not for work. Please Alpha.” You coo, you cup a hand around his face, “Please get some rest.” You soothe him and you watch as he relaxes a little bit. “I have an alarm set, we have plenty of time. Please sleep my Love.”

“You don’t leave.” He rumbles, you don’t think he realizes that he’s given you an Alpha command he’s so tired. You’ll let it slide this time, you just want him to sleep.

“I won’t.” You agree softly and you’re pleased when his eyes drift shut. You wait until his even breaths are filling the space before you surrender to sleep yourself.

The alarm wakes you, Steve slowly stirring next to you, he presses a kiss to the top of your head then he starts,

“Fuck! Honey I’m so sorry!”

“What? Why are you sorry?”

“I Alpha commanded you.”

“Oh Alpha, it wasn’t on purpose I’m not upset.” You tell him not looking up at him.

“It’s not okay. I promised not to.”

“I forgive you.”

“Thank you Omega.” He hums, he kisses you then and you sigh softly.

“We should go. We have about forty-five minutes until we can start boarding and I’m kind of hungry and need to use the bathroom.”

“Okay,” he stretches then before he unlocks the door and climbs out. When you go to climb out of the pod Steve’s hands wrap around your waist and he helps you out of the pod. “You’re real pretty Omega.”

“I feel like I look a mess.” You admit with a laugh and he frowns.

“No, you look beautiful.”

“Thank you, I still think you’re biased though.” He laughs and you take your luggage out of the pod storage. You go find some food and while Steve waits for the food to be done you use the bathroom, fix your hair and wipe under your eyes with a cool paper towel. You look okay for having travelled so long but you’re excited to be on the last leg of the journey.

When you join Steve again you’re feeling better and you’re happy to see that the food is done.

“Hey Honey, do you wanna go eat at the gate?”

“Yea, I think that’s a good idea.” You agree once you’re at the gate you eat quickly then Steve goes to the bathroom.

“Y’all are real sweet.” An older woman says, she’s a Beta and gives you a soft smile. “How long have you been Mated?”

“A couple of months but we got married two days ago.”

“Congratulations!”

“Thank you.”

“I hope you have a wonderful trip.”

“Thank you so much.” You tell her as Steve makes his way back toward you with powerful strides.

“He’s a good Alpha?”

“Perfect.”

“Good. He’s a handsome one.” She says giving you a wink and you laugh.

“He really is.”

“I really am what Omega?” Steve asks sitting down next to you.

“A pain in the ass Alpha.” You tell him cheekily and the woman laughs at Steve’s surprised face.

“Good for you! Keep him on his toes!”

“Oh believe me, since the day I met her she’s kept me on my toes.” Steve grumbles but you can feel his affection.

“You love it.”

“I do.” He agrees before kissing you quickly. The woman you’d been chatting with practically has heart eyes as she watches the exchange.

“Treasure your time together. I lost my Mate three years ago and I miss him dearly. Have a wonderful honeymoon.”

“Thank you, we will.” You tell her and she goes back to her book then and Steve curls an arm around your shoulders.

“I love you Omega.” He says pressing another kiss to your lips.

“I love you too.”

I'll definitely have to make it up to him in the next piece I write when he and Wife!Reader experience some babysitting shenanigans with little Morgan Stark.

From one to five stars, how would you rate your writing? (No downplaying yourself!)

About a 3 I think, I hav𖤓 liz 𖤓en’t written anything in a while because I’ve been busy with work and school. I struggle with actually finishing anything, I swear my drafts is a graveyard of WIPs. Once I get done with my finals I plan to actually try and sit down and actually write a fic or at the very least headcanons

2. What do you think makes your writing stand out from other works?

I feel like my writing is very self indulgent, I fantasize for literal days or weeks about what I personally would want to happen and imagine myself as the reader in the fic and just run with it. I have tried a few times to write an idea that a friend gives me and I just struggle cause I get stuck in my own head wondering if I’m writing it how they personally would want it.

3. Are there any writers that inspire you?

Literally everybody in the server, the fact that y'all are so imaginative and are so motivated to write fics on a consistent basis never fails to amaze me, I am on my knees begging for a crumb of the kind of motivation y’all got. 

4. What’s the fic you’re most proud of? 

Honestly probably the very first fic I ever wrote, which was a Zayn Malik fanfiction (I was a HUGE One Direction fan…honestly I still am). It was terrible, and so ridiculously cringey but to middle school me, I was the next Shakespeare  and was just proud that I actually wrote something and put it on the internet for the world to see and I regret nothing. 

5. Which character(s) do you find easiest to write and which do you find most difficult to write? 

The easiest is probably Peter Parker cause he’s such a sassy little shit and I love him. The hardest is probably Dr. Spencer Reid, I’ve tried before and I just can’t get his mannerisms right. 

6. Who or what do you find yourself writing about most?

I feel like my most of my wips are friends to lovers with misunderstandings galore 

7. Tell us about a WIP you’re excited about!

I’ve been planning this fic out in my head for the past month, idk for sure what I’m gonna call it, but it’s gonna be an Evan “Buck” Buckley x reader fic, I’m considering adding Eddie Diaz into the mix cause honestly it’s what we deserve. Basically the reader is going to open up a bakery across from the fire station and our lovely firefighters can’t resist the smell of warm bread and coffee in the morning so they go and meet Reader (considering giving her a nickname) who is dancing to 80’s music and may or may not be covered in flour, and from there hijinks, first dates, and love confessions ensue.

9. Any guilty pleasure trope(s)?

Ooo  misunderstandings that can be easily resolved if they JUST TALK, found family tropes almost always make me cry, fake dating never fails to make me laugh because the characters never think it through and I love that for them with that being said idiots to lovers is another big one, especially if they share exactly one brain cell. 

10. A trope you’ll never, ever write for.

Probably anything dark, nothing wrong with dark fics, I just don’t think I’d ever be able to write a dark fic well enough where it was actually understandable or good for that matter.

11. Wildest fic you’ve ever written?

Another One Direction fanfiction, but this time Liam Payne, it's since been deleted but basically gang leader!Liam and the reader were highschool sweethearts and broke up cause Liam betrayed her, if i remember right he gets her brother arrested? Years later she comes back to town and is part of an all girls gang and Liam's gang (One Direction) start fighting over territory, there were drunken confessions, a secret child, and attempted kidnappings and literally every other chapter one of them almost died. Middle school me was very proud of it.

12. Favorite pairing to write for? (platonic or romantic!)

Steve Rogers x innocent!reader, knight!Bucky x princess!Reader, Evan “Buck” Buckley x reader

13. Do you listen to anything while you write?

Yes, I have so many playlists, everytime I get an idea for a fic I run to Spotify and immediately create a new one and add songs that fit the vibe I’m going for, doesn’t matter what genre or language so long as I think it fits it gets added to the playlist.

14. One-shots or multi-chaptered works?

Definitely both, I am not picky whatsoever. 

15. Have you ever daydreamed about side adventures/spin-offs from your fic? Tell us about them!

Omg yes, I honestly think this is part of the reason it’s so hard for me to finish writing anything. The second I get a new idea for a fic I start imagining all sorts of different scenarios I could put them in like trips to the zoo, grocery shopping or like the same scenes from the fic, but from another character's point of view. Even if it’s not going to be part of the fic I imagine what the proposal would be like, what their vows would be, or how they'd react to their first child being born. My mind goes a hundred miles a minute when I get a new idea, but the second I sit down to write it out poof all the ideas are gone.

16. Is there anything you’ve wanted to write, but you’ve been too scared to try?

Honestly smut. There are so many talented writers out there who do a great job at writing smut, but whenever I try it just comes out to stiff and doesn’t sound write, so I always end up deleting it 

17. What’s the nicest comment you’ve ever received?

I was once told I was very good at descriptions, they said they could picture the night sky in their mind and it was like they were there. 

18. Have you ever gone outside of your comfort zone for a fic? How did it turn out?

Eh not really, I usually stick to fluff, humor and slight angst, I want to try step out of my comfort zone by writing smut, but it’ll be a while before I post anything 

19. Tooth-rotting fluff or merciless angst?

Oh my gosh how could I possibly choose, most of the time it just depends what kind of mood I’m in but lately it’s been tooth-rotting fluffy with a tiny bit of angst mixed in

20. Do you have any OCs? Tell us about them!

At this point in time I do not have any oc’s, but I’m considering creating one for my Evan “Buck” Buckley fic. 

21. If you could enter the universe of any one of your fics, which would it be and why?

Probably my WIP Knight!Bucky Barnes x Princess!Reader because who wouldn’t want to be protected by an extremely handsome Bucky who acts like you're a nuisance, but would do anything to protect you no questions asked if ever necessary?? And also I just love the idea of running down a castle hallway at night wearing a floor length ball gown.

22. Is there anything you wish your audience knew about your writing or writing process?

Just that my process involves creating the perfect playlist for that specific fic and tons of daydreaming, and while it may take me a long time to finally finish writing, I’m always excited to share it and get feedback!

23. Copy and paste an excerpt you’re particularly fond of.

“Do you think I am inadequate because I am a female, my Lord? Is that what you’re saying? You think that I am unfit to rule because I'm a little emotional right now?  Well you’re right, I am a little emotional right now. From the moment I was born, it was known that I, and I alone, would be next in line to assume the throne. My entire life was spent preparing for the moment that my reign would begin and I intend to use all the knowledge my father, may God rest his soul, taught me.  Just two weeks ago I watched as they lowered my father’s cold, dead body into the ground and not a week later a crown was placed atop my head…. a crown I thought my father would be giving me.  I am emotional because right now at this very moment there are rebels out there, only God knows where, hatching plans to storm this castle! This castle has stood here for 300 hundred years and I intend for it to stand for many more. I refuse to let the rebels take my country and everything that my family has worked for.  Now, we have much more pressing matters to deal with than your fragile egos, don’t you think my Lords?”

Natasha asks you to volunteer to help with a firefighter training

You wake up to the feeling of Natasha’s strong arms tightening around you. She kisses your neck as she buries herself further into you. Considering how strong she is, she is still incredibly comfortable to snuggle with.

It’s been months of pure bliss with the woman. Even after she got hurt, you two still got along just perfectly. It brought you closer. And you knew that you were going to love her forever then.

Natasha’s phone rings, breaking the peaceful morning quietness. She groans and leans over you to reach for the phone.

“Hey,” she answers.

You hear a voice on the other end of the line but can’t tell what they’re saying. Nat sits up more completely as she listens.

“Relax, Rogers,” Natasha speaks again. “I’ll bring y/n and her friend.”

They talk for a few more minutes before Nat hangs up the phone. You sit up next to her, pulling the sheets up to cover your body.

Nat turns to you with a smile on her face. She leans in and kisses your lips slowly. The sheets fall down as both of your breasts brush against each other’s.

“How much do you love me?” She asks.

“Hm, more than anything in the universe,” you reply. “Why?”

“I need you to volunteer to be a part of a training,” Nat says. “You and Wanda, if you can. We’re short people, and Steve is losing his shit over it.”

“No problem, babe. I’ll have someone cover for me today. Wanda is off on Fridays, so I’m sure she can help too.”

“You’re the best,” Natasha says.

You two wake up the rest of the way and get dressed. Nat wears casual clothes until she can change into her uniform at the station. You dress in jeans and a T-shirt.

Wanda meets you there. You thank her for coming as Nat walks you to the volunteer sign-in.

“These two are volunteering,” Nat says to the woman you recognize as Carol. She turns to you. “I’ll see you later, sweetheart.”

You get signed in and Carol tells you both where to go. Luckily, you and Wanda get placed in the same area. You’re excited to catch up with her.

“So, how are things, Wanda? I feel like we haven’t talked in forever,” you ask her.

“We live together, y/n,” Wanda says, a chuckle coming from her lips. “But you are at Nat’s a lot, so that’s true.”

“I’m sorry.”

“No, it’s cool,” Wanda brushes it off. “I’m good. I did a really long surgery the other day. A new record for me.”

“Atta girl, Max!” You high-five her. “And how are things with- what’s her name- Dr. Rambeau?”

Wanda blushes and looks down at her feet.

“I think this training is starting,” Wanda says, dodging the question.

“Dude, just admit you love her,” you tease the girl.

“I don’t-”

“Wanda,” you say. You can see right through her.

“Okay, maybe,” Wanda relents.

“You should tell her.”

“Yeah, okay. I’ll tell her I love her when you ask Nat to get a place with you,” Wanda says.

“Deal,” you agree. Wanda just shakes her head.

You hear the signal that the training is actually starting, so you get in place. There’s fake smoke around you. A few firefighters reach you quickly. You recognize them, but they remain professional. Wanda is on their list to save.

Sam takes the woman in his arms and carries her out. Wanda tries not to laugh as she feels silly being held like this. You wait patiently, and finally, the door opens again.

You don’t look at the firefighter, but you’d recognize her voice anywhere.

“I’m here to help you,” Natasha says. She puts a hand on your arm like she’s seeing if you’re conscious. You open your eyes, and she can’t help but smile at you. Nat leans down and whispers in your ear. “Hey, pretend you need CPR.”

You don’t really know how to accomplish that, but you close your eyes and try to lay still. Nat feels your pulse on your neck before she tilts your head.

She doesn’t do CPR, but she does kiss you. She kisses you long and hard.

“Natasha,” you whimper as she pulls away.

“Come on, baby. Let’s get you out of here,” Nat says.

She wraps her arms around your waist and throws you over her shoulder. You’re pretty sure it’s not a proper carry, but she is able to carry you like this with ease. When Nat takes you outside, the station cheers her on.

“Who let her save her girlfriend?” Steve asks. He looks at Carol, who only shrugs.

Nat drops you off at the medical area, where the hospital workers have joined in on the training. You see Wanda talking it up with Monica.

Once the training is finished, the firefighters have a quick debrief. Nat asks you to follow her inside the station.

Inside, Nat changes back into her gray sweatpants and a tank top. You can’t keep your eyes off her, and she knows it.

“So, I could tell Steve you didn’t perform proper CPR on me today,” you joke.

“You wouldn’t dare.” Nat smirks.

“I might,” you say.

Nat comes closer to you, and you put your hands on her waist. Natasha kisses you. And kisses you. And kisses you. She kisses you until you’re pushed back on the lockers with your hands in her pants.

But you’re interrupted by the other firefighters coming to change. You straighten her clothes and your hair just in time.

“Get a room,” Sam hoops as he walks by you.

“You’re just jealous, Wilson,” Nat says. She takes your hand and leads you out of the room.

When you stop at the car, she opens the door for you, but you don’t get in yet.

“Natasha,” you begin. “Can we talk for a second?”

“Yeah, of course,” Nat says, worry etches into her features. “Are you okay, baby?”

“Yes!” You assure her too quickly. “It’s just- I’ve been thinking about us.”

“Okay. What about us?”

“Well, I was kind of thinking we could move in together?” You phrase it as a question, terrified of her answer.

“I would love that,” Natasha says easily. “You can move into my place if you want. We’re there all the time.”

“Sounds perfect,” you say. “I love you, Natasha Romanoff.”

“I love you too,” she says. She helps you into the car.

Once she gets in, she starts the car and looks at you. You meet her gaze with a loving smile.

“Let’s go home,” Natasha says.

And you never want to live without her.

New York City was glowing in the orange sunlight filtering through the tall buildings. Steve was finishing his exercise routine and was ready to start his shift at the fire station.

Hardly had Steve arrived at the station when an alarm sounded, the emergency was a massive fire at Stark Tower. Steve, in command of his fire department, made his way through the thick smoke and smouldering flames. Without hesitation, he led his team to hurry.

Steve knew they had to evacuate the rest of the people quickly, but even though you knew what was happening, you were still looking for your cat, you wouldn't leave without him.

Steve decided to help you look for him, he understood the importance he had for you, you found him hidden in a file cabinet, you immediately left the Tower.

After making sure you were okay and unharmed, Steve approached you and invited you to the cafeteria nearby on his next day off.
