Tam wears glasses, mainly to see things farther away better. He didn't know it until sometime during Flashback, he just thought everyone sees stuff that way. Tiergan helped him figure out that he needed them and helped get the perfect pair.

Biana buys Tam flower bouquets. He mentioned that he really liked flowers, and the next day she comes up to the door of Solreef, and blushing very, very hard, she gives Tam the bouquet. Linh had to spend a full 15 minutes with a dazed Tam.

When Keefe comes back from the Forbidden Cities, he uses all these weird slang words. One time, he told Councilor Emery that "You have no rizz, man. If you wanna become the alpha, you need to up your aura."

Emery is scarred for life after that exchange.

Sophie is a Red stan. She doesn't listen to Taylor Swift often, but she is forever a fan of the album Red.

When Fitz was looking for Sophie, he found a video of one of those kids baking competitions, and he was just amazed. It's how he started to get into baking.

Tam and Dex have this amazing friendship no one really knows about. It's not like they kept it a secret, it's just no one really notices either of them.

Tam can be chaotic as heck when he wants to be. Most of the time, he's the quiet and chill yet quite comfortable introvert. Though if he's got the right energy, BOOM he's as crazy as the triplets with enough energy to make the world explode.

One time, Dex asked Tam to watch the triplets (feeling pretty bad because the triplets are you know, the triplets) for him and his parents because they all were out that day, and when he came back home, they were asleep. And they stayed asleep, for hours.

It was one of the best days ever in the Dizznee household.

The reason Tam got them to sleep was because his chaotic side clicked in. It was a hour and a half game of tag.

(It was only that one time though. Next time Tam babysat, the triplets were prepared).

Even after making up with Tam, Linh still didn't really trust Rayni. But for every little conversation they have, they both start to ease up on each other.

One morning, when everyone's up for breakfast, Linh comes down and Rayni grins and goes, "What's up, Water-Gir?" and everyone is doing a double take because Linh was gonna kill Rayni. But it gets worse when Linh replies, also grinning, with "Good morning, RayRay."

Everyone else almost had a heart attack because it seemed like yesterday they were about to kill each other.

At one point, Keefe cracks a joke about Tam having a crush on Rayni (before he knew about Tam and Biana already dating), and Tam says, "Okay, for one: She's like, 25 and I'm like 16, I think, so that's disgusting, and secondly: Rayni is old and ugly, and-"

But he doesn't get to finish because Rayni hears and runs downstairs, pissed and yelling "WHAT THE HECK TAM?! WELL, AT LEAST I DON'T USE THE OVERUSED SHADY AND EMO IMAGE" and then that gets Tam pissed, so then there's this whole argument that goes on for about 10 minutes.

Basically, Tam and Rayni are siblings. Rayni is the oldest sister, and Tam is the annoying little brother.

Marella and Tam have gossip sessions during lunch; they also just have this really great friendship. (And by friendship, I mean they each have blackmail on each other and are forced to interact so the other doesn't spill their secrets).

Keefoster and Tiana double dates :>

At Solreef, Tiergan has this huge library, filled with elven books and even human books.

Tam has read almost every book in there. His favorites are the fantasy books.

His favorite book series ever is Percy Jackson. He's read every single PJO book in the library.

When Sophie finds out, oh boy do they geek out about it.

Forkle set them up on a sleepover one time, because "You kids need to be kids" or something like that.

None of them expected to have much fun, but they did. They even made a plan that once a week, at someones house they'd meet up and have a sleepover or just have fun.

Random idea, which KOTLC character use which social media the most

Sophie: Pinterest prob, needs images and esthetics to calm herself down

Dex: Tumblr. He has the chaos of Tumblr in him.

Fitz: I’d say Discord, he uses social to talk with the people, not for anything else.

Keefe: I’m not sure. TikTok I’d say. He’s def a video format guy, and there are so many things, he would find every niche and jump from one to another.

Biana: she’s an influencer on Insta. Showing herself, pretty pictures, encouraging people to accept their bodies as she accepted her scars, makeup and hair tutorials.

Tam: is he on social media? YouTube. He talks. Found his way to explain what goes in his head, he makes long videos about very special interests. Probably turns off the comments.

Linh: Pinterest. Shares pictures of her water sculptures, of every beautiful landscape she finds.

Stina: starts drama on Twitter/X.

Marella: on Twitter/X too, sometimes takes part in dramas, sometimes just watching them with popcorn. And goes on Tumblr to laugh and cope.

Maruca: has every social, likes everyone’s post, sometimes shares her most random thoughts in Instagram Stories.

Wylie: not a fan of social media, spends some time on Pinterest, on Instagram, doesn’t post anything.

Jensi: uh. Good question. He was on X but ended up thinking people were definitely too stupid, so moved to just looks at the comments (and sometimes add some) under YouTube shorts probably.

Dex is also funny and hes like a tech-y person

Maruca is like that cool, goth girl (I know she's not goth, but she kinda acts like it sometimes)

Fitz 100% confesses first.

Dex is sosososo flustered by this. like. no way. WONDERBOY LIKES HIM?!?!

But Fitz wasn't sure if Dex was straight or not (hes not). he picked up on some clues and was like. hmm. well. is that a homosexual i see??!

Dex thought Fitz was 1000000% straight. i mean. he's a vacker. everyone knows bad matches are looked down upon. he wouldnt.

But GOD everyone was TIRED of the mutual pining and GOD was it obvious. did they do shit about it? no. did they whine about it privately? absolutely.

Dex is hella surprised that Fitz is into physical affection. he did not clock fitz for someone into physical affection. dex enjoys this.

They're like 18 when they get together.

They dont get married for a whileeeeeeeeeee. everyone else is married by 40 and these two are still boyfriends.

and when they reach 100 dex finally proposes

they have a small wedding. the kotlc crew is invited

keefe does NOT stop with the gay jokes.

The diznees are super happy for their son, but only biana and maybe alvar is happy for fitz.

If I were to rewrite KOTLC, I would combine Marella and Biana and make Biana the pyrokinetic to give her an actual reason for being there, and I wouldn't have Maruca or Stina (or Jensi though he doesn't really count) be a part of the main gang at all. I actually might even take out Keefe, and change the Neverseen's plans a bit.

I'm also making Tam and Linh a part of the Neverseen and removing Glimmer from the equation. Wylie remains a somewhat separate peer/mentor figure due to the fact he's a whole ass adult.

Cutting the main group from ten people (Sophie, Keefe, Biana, Fitz, Dex, Tam, Linh, Marella, Maruca, Stina) down to six (Sophie, Fitz, Biana, Dex, Tam, Linh) gives all the characters more space to develop and have noticeable roles within the plot.

So like here’s chapter one of unmatched it’s a Sophie/Keefe and Fitz/Dex fic.

Sophie (1)

Sophie Foster was done with matchmaking. She was done with the council and, most importantly, completely and utterly done with Cassius Sencen.

“Foster” Keefe Sencen said from his position next to his girlfriend in the hall “It’s not that bad”

Sophie groaned “Not that bad?! Your dad’s making you have a winnowing gala and I can’t even be on your match lists cause I’m unmatchable “

“I told you I don’t care about that,” Keefe said softly “Can you just believe I’ll handle this? I don’t care about the council or their match lists” He took both of Sophie’s hands in his “Foster all I care about is you”

Sophie melted “I know it’s just when we did the inquisition Fitz said-”

“I don’t care about what Fitz said and you shouldn’t either it’s clearly eating at you. What Fitz said doesn’t matter”

Sophie nodded “I know. I guess I just fear you’ll dump me for one of those match-list girls because they're more normal and better for your family. Silly I know considering you don’t care about that stuff” Sophie laughed a little

Keefe sighed then shook his head “Why would I want anything else when what I’ve wanted for years is right here”

“Cause my brain is stupid,” Sophie said smiling so hard her cheeks hurt

Keefe smiled at her and leaned in to kiss her. His lips had just met hers when a voice cleared their throat behind them.

Sophie and Keefe whipped their heads around as fast as elfishly possible to see Fitz Vacker standing behind them.

“You know if you want to make out,” Fitz said “Please don’t do it in the middle of the hallway”

Keefe groaned exaggeratedly “Fitzy come onnnn we were just having some fun”

Fitz sighed “It’s still the middle of the hallway Keefe, Also don’t you have class?”

Keefe shrugged “It’s just The Universe no biggie”

Fitz rolled his eyes “Bye Keefe”

Keefe waved at him

Once Fitz was gone Keefe turned to Sophie “Ok I know he’s my best friend but that dude is everywhere”

Sophie nodded “Yeah, My house after school?”

Keefe groaned “Can’t Daddy Dearest wants to talk more about finding me a good match”

“Just tell him you are with me,” Sophie said “It’s that simple”

“I thought you didn’t want to tell people?” Keefe asked confused

“I don’t. But I also want my boyfriend to myself”

“Oh, Foster a little jealous are we?” Keefe teased lovingly

Sophie laughed “Shut up”

A while later at lunch Dex Dizznee was telling Sophie about strategies when she noticed Keefe was glaring at Fitz. She turned to look at Fitz. Fitz was staring. Except he wasn’t staring at her. He was pretending to yes but every time he thought no one was looking he quickly turned his head to Dex instead. Wait. Sophie thought. Does Fitz… Like Dex? She didn’t care that he liked boys but didn’t he? Didn’t his family? Wasn’t being queer basically taboo in the lost cities? Sophie wondered what Fitz thought about this. If he was ok with it. He probably wasn’t. He was probably trying to shove it down so he wouldn’t have to be queer and a bad match.

Sophie transmitted a message to Fitz “You know I will always support you right?”

Fitz’s eyes widened “What are you talking about Sophie?”

“Dex” She transmitted as gently as she could

“Oh, That. Don’t worry about that. I have that under control”

Sophie sighed “Then why are you sneaking glances at him?”

Fitz’z eyes flitted “You see that?”

“My boyfriend is glaring at you. I wanted to see why”

“Oh,” Fitz stared down at his lunch at picked at it “Like I said I have it under control ok? I’m just burying it down so nobody can see it”

“You could always ask him out?” Sophie asked

“I can’t Sophie. My family wouldn’t even look at me” Fitz picked at his food “Besides Dex likes Bee everyone knows that”

Sophie knew for a fact Dex just said he liked Biana and actually had a huge crush on Fitz but that was neither here nor there “You don’t have to tell people. I’m not telling anyone I’m dating Keefe. Besides Fitz?”

“Yeah?”

“Dex might surprise you”

How to get a gay Kotlc after Stellerlune

- The group finds out Sophie and Keefe are dating.

-Marellinh is already a thing.

- Fitz becomes angry and sad

- Dex goes to comfort him (apparently) and they start to hang out. (The other half of Keeper of the Lost Prepositions on Ao3, by @squishmallow36) This causee thrm to bond and Detz happens

- Sophie and Keefe finally figure out that they are anything but straight and quickly break up. They go in separate ways.

-Sophie and Biana become besties and SoBiana becomes a thing.

-Keefe and Tam start to hang out with the Detz couple and they talk about finding their lovers and stuff (at least something like that) and then Keefe and Tam find out they have feelings for each other and... Kam is born.

Gay Kotlc happens.

Maruca (she locks herself in a room and then comes out with the best soup you've ever eaten. One of the ways Biana and her bonded)

Dex (it's like potion-making, he argues)

Fitz (he likes baking much more; cooking is too experimental and Fitz likes the preciseness of baking)

Linh (idk why, but I do have a fic about (ish) it!)

Keefe (also abysmal. He's too used to benefiting off of Alvar, Biana, and Fitz)

Wylie (Tiergan's too good for Wylie to want to try)

Ruy (messes up even the easiest recipes disastrously, somehow, every time)
