This cosplay was so so close to never seeing the light of day, as this was the aforementioned project I rage quit to procrastinate with Nekomancer on haha. I really adored the fionna and cake special (and adventure time in general) and wanted to cosplay from it for eons...although I will admit this project was intended to be "generic blue and silver winter regal outfit for a variety of characters" and it was a toss up on whether or not the first run was going to go to the Winter King/Simon or Jack Frost...but I couldn't find my jack frost wig so here we are!

This was my first time working a lot with velvet and low key....I loved it and would love to use it more.

Champagne Problems came on my playlist when I was in the car this morning and it struck me that “you told your family for a reason, you couldn’t keep it in” kind of parallels how much wedding/marriage imagery was all over the Lover album with her telling the world she was ready to marry this person and in turn everyone expecting it to happen imminently but then by evermore we started getting all the relationship breakdown stories because no one was celebrating anymore 😵‍💫

Do you have any specific designs for the mane six?

YEAH!...

I see a lot of Mane Six redesigns that take the basic concepts of them and then go crazy with it (which is good!! i love those too!!) but I'm more of the type take most of the canon design and just put a more personalized spin on it <:)

I honestly think they dropped the ball on the ted and nate storyline. ted as a character was fleshed out by not having him be this two-dimensional, always positive person and having one of his pressing issues be him not being able to open up and express his emotions. while it is in character for ted to have already forgiven nate, for the show to wait to the very last episode for them to have a real conversation and for it to not even have ted express how nate had hurt him is a disservice to both characters and their overall arcs
