I finally got hold of the “Oppenheimer” soundtrack - and it cost me 100 Euro!

I had been looking for it since the movie’s release in the summer of 2023 but was never able to find a CD anywhere.

Who takes these decisions? Does the music industry still bother to release its “product” properly?

And it happens across the board these days - even with soundtracks of John Williams and here with this masterpiece of Ludwig Göransson. (Make no mistake: for once, the Oscars got it right!)

Ludwig’s wife Serena McKinney plays the violin solos and studio musician Steve Erdody (who recorded countless scores with John Williams) is the main cellist.

Stupidly, McKinney is called “Serena Göransson” in the booklet as if the girl doesn’t have a name of her own. Did some MAGA retard write that booklet?

It's a beautifully 2D animated hour and a half of pulpy laughs and thrills in pure Looney Tunes Cartoons style. Show studios there's a market for 2D and STAND WITH ANIMATION.

Di piccole stroncature fra amici

A me Spongebob non dispiace, come cartone animato. I personaggi sono tutti buffi e divertenti. (Detesto solo Patrick Stella: piglierei quell'idiota a pedate nelle terga da mane a sera...). Ciò nonostante non ho gradito per nulla Plankton il fllm. E per due ragioni. La prima è che lo preferisco con l'animazione tradizionale. Mentre invece il film è in quella digitale. La seconda è che ogni tanto ci schiaffano lì una canzone. Non tradotta, chiaramente. Voi direte: e allora? E allora io detesto i film musicali. Mi provocano l'orchite. Laonde per cui, pollice verso.

Grima Vermilinguo

(Grima Rettilingua nella nuova traduzione de Il Signore degli Anelli; in originale Grima Wormtongue) è un personaggio de Il Signore degli Anelli nel Mondo creato dallo scrittore J. R. R. Tolkien. È consigliere di Re Thèoden di Rohan ma in realtà esegue gli ordini impartitigli dallo stregone Saruman.

Grima probabilmente non era un uomo cattivo. piuttosto un semplice di mente debole. Appare come un personaggio pieno di sfumature: odia Saruman suo padrone ma sta dalla sua parte per convenienza (un KAPO'), ritendo ineluttabile la vittoria di Mordor; inoltre non possiede la forza di volontà e il giudizio per resistere al potere dello stregone cattivo.

Il mito serve come modello semplificato più comprensibile della realtà. Uso il profilo di Grima per caratterizzare gli antioccidentali tradizionalisti - non i bimbiminkia benecomunisti e i nazional-socialisti (quelli sono orchi, orchetti e troll): quelli passati al Lato Oscuro della Forza per occidentalismo frustrato.

alright i think ppl aren't that interested in the S sized Jimin PCs even tho it comes with a mini FACE album keychain with a tiny holographic jimin pic inside & a playable mini FACE cover cd that u tap lightly with ur phone and it opens the official song on spotify meaning ur helping him on the chart by streaming Like Crazy.

and everyone gets gifts with their order so I'm a bit sad about not getting even 1 like on my social medial posts of the products let alone orders :( i announced on twitter I would make a giveway after 30 sales to offer 2 official (and new/unopened) FACE Weverse albums to 2 ppl and my photocards set to 3 people so 5 people would get free merch both official and unofficial but i kid u not, i didn't get ONE interaction after the announcement no likes no rts no follows lmao so i'll change the listing on etsy to include regular sized photocards. actually it will include the entire collection with the photocards i hadn't shown yet and other merch with the key item that is absolutely beautiful and if no one bats an eye once it's released then i won't work on etsy anymore even though it brought me joy to brainstorm all these ideas and bring them to life.

it's really crazy to me that the top sellers are selling like 2 photocards with a simple transparent film over the pic side, for 5€ meanwhile I'm selling fully themed sets of 6 bigger than regular HOLOGRAPHIC photocards for 5-7€ :( I'm not talking about the ones currently available but the bigger sized ones.... the price range is bc there's multiple themes with ones that require more material. but also I'm adding gifts to them and for repeat buyers I'm offering additional merch so I admit it's frustrating to see people literally rip off their customers bc i know damn well my holographic film cost more than ur transparent fllm, my metallic,pink and holographic cardstocks cost more than ur white cardstocks but somehow 2 of ur photocards are priced the same as 6 of my photocards ? 😭 and ur "gifts" are 3 stickers for which you charge more money, my gifts are stickers, additional photocards, posters, keychain binders full of photocards and my own official photocards.....like how ?? obviously this person is doing something right if they're in the top searches but i just don't like how much more they added to the production cost bc yeah sure you need to make profit naturally but I'm being so serious when i say this person is charging too much for 2 simple photocards 😭

watched siskel and ebert review noah baumbach's kicking and screaming. roger ebert shared a short anecdote, he'd seen the fllm after spending 4 days at his alma matter. he said he would be walking around the same places he used to, drinking coffee at the same places he used to, and he'd look around. expecting to see the ghosts of his college friends, waiting to join him in conversation. he said it like you would any old thing. siskel said that he liked the film as well, and they moved onto ace ventura . nothing to add just in awe of his grace

Libri che vanno letti 43

Può darsi che il nome di John Fante vi dica poco o nulla. Se ne fece un gran parlare nel 2006, quando uscì il film tratto da quello che credo essere il suo romanzo più conosciuto: Chiedi alla polvere. Io il fllm non l’ho visto (per principio), ma il libro l’ho letto. E vi posso assicurare che merita. L’avevo trovato nell’edizione Marcos y Marcos, se ben ricordo. Mi era piaciuto così tanto da spingermi a prendere il volume dei Meridiani Mondadori che ne raccoglie i romanzi e i racconti.

Non vi so dire se raccolga proprio tutta la sua produzione narrativa. Sicuramente ci sono le opere più importanti. Se ve lo procurate non fate una cazzata. La fate se non ve lo procurate. Perché è uno di quegli autori che bisogna tornare a leggere. Sempre che si voglia imparare qualcosa, eh.
