I just wanted to talk about tea with you. What's your favorite kind? What do you usually serve at tea parties? Is there a tea that goes exceptionally well with chocolate cake?

So, you enjoy tea with your sweets? That's refreshing, considering I have to deal with my ravenous brothers who would swallow a slice of cake whole if they could. Leon and Jin, mainly.

Now, to answer your questions:

My favorite tea would have to be rose tea. I know it seems like an obvious answer, but there's something to be said about the delicate, floral flavor. I find it to be very nostalgic, it's one of the most popular teas in Rhodolite after all. A nice cup of warm rose tea in the morning is one of life's greatest comforts for me and many Rhodolitians.

The tea I serve at tea parties tends to vary depending on who is attending, what food is being served, and the time of year. For example, if it was wintertime and we were enjoying some orange and cranberry scones, I would choose a nice raspberry tea to accompany them. In the summer, however, delicate white and herbal teas are a must, especially if they are to be served hot! Hot black tea on a midsummer day would be much too heavy.

Some of my go-to teas for tea parties are rose tea, since it's popular in Rhodolite, and earl gray. Earl gray is popular in Jade and is generally well-liked while having a mostly inoffensive flavor. I typically serve it when we have a tea party with Prince Keith, but he also enjoys Rhodolitian rose tea as a change of pace sometimes.

Now, as for teas that pair well with chocolate, that depends on what type of chocolate you have. Since dark chocolate and milk chocolate have different flavor profiles, the teas that complement them are different. However, both pair well with earl gray. As I said, it has an inoffensive flavor! If your chocolate cake has other flavors in it, such as raspberry, that can make things tricky. Any type of black tea is usually a good palate cleanser and will complement the taste of chocolate very well. Try Ceylon or Jadean breakfast tea.

If you are a person who likes the flavor combination, I would also recommend mint tea. The taste of mint doesn't linger too much, but it gives a refreshing taste that goes well with chocolate if you like those flavors together.

If you are a person who enjoys "death by chocolate", so to speak, you may want to try a chocolate black tea blend. I have some that I typically enjoy on its own as a dessert tea, but Jin likes to drink it with his chocolate cake. It makes me want to gag.

Ah! I mean- it's not my preference, but others are allowed to enjoy whatever pairings they please.

Thank you anon, I wouldn't disagree except that the term "fan" never feels right to me in relation to Luigi. I'm a fan of progressive metal, floral flavors, and quality cowboy boots; but Luigi... I feel such a deep love for him and true joy because of him.

Now, THAT SELF-SERVING PEDANTRY ASIDE, I'm not usually good at answering open-ended questions, but I'll do my best:

The Mario Bros both are pure of heart. And Luigi even more than Mario has this air of innocence about him, despite all he's been through and his laundry list of fears. These brothers are strong inside and out, and while Mario is metaphorically invulnerable as steel, Luigi is more of a high-quality rubber. He bends under even gentle pressure, but he never breaks. He's seen as weaker, less capable, cowardly, but he pushes through more internal struggle to be a hero of equal valor to his brother. If Mario is a symbol of strength, Luigi is a symbol of resilience. But that resilience does not make him stoic or emotionally unavailable, quite the opposite. More than Mario, Luigi is radically sensitive. Always wearing his heart on his sleeve.

There is something so powerful about someone who is so goddamn sensitive and melodramatic and SILLY refusing to let horrible circumstances jade him. Even when battling feelings of envy (not jealousy, big difference) towards his brother, he never lashes out. Even when he saves the day again and again and receives less than half the recognition Mario does from those he saves, he is ultimately happy to help. As long as Mario sees him for all he is, he doesn't need any widespread praise or accolades.

Luigi laughs at his own cheesy jokes that make others groan, he trembles and hyperventilates before delivering a well-placed kick, he has strong opinions on what products are used to groom his mustache, he will flee when the stakes of the battle are low, but always digs his trembling heels in when his heart demands it of him.

hey anon!! of course!! this is certainly a very interesting request.

“hey jade! i have something to show you!” you had an evil glint in your eyes.

“yes (y/n). what is it?” he asks.

“check this out! did you know you can make music from mushrooms?”

“really?”

jade is mostly fascinated by this concept. mushroom music? he was already a fan of mushrooms but this would take his interest to a whole new level.

azul and floyd would quickly grow tired of it later on.

jade would simply try to recreate the effects in the video. and it’s not done by magic so he needs to get handy parts.

it’s a lot of trial and error to recreate mushroom music. but eventually, he makes it work.

you are just shocked when he presents you with a whole album of mushroom music that he made.

furthermore, it cracks you up to hear it play in the mostro lounge.

kind of ironic since you were eating stuffed mushrooms when you recognized the music.

Well, for my request... We know that each dorm has a series of things in common, aesthetic, qualities, tastes...

How would the boys react to a mc who is clearly a perfect fit for their dorm but belongs to ramshackle?

hi anon!! thank you so much for the love and i’m happy you enjoy my takes on the boys! i’ve had these thoughts festering in my brain for a while now so it’s exciting to see people enjoy my head canons as much as me. i think this is certainly an interesting request and one i’ve thought about before lmao. the format is different considering that i would assume you need a general consensus of letting mc transfer from ramshackle. i believe their reactions would be really similar but i’m going to touch upon personal details that fit the respective characters briefly.

DIASOMNIA

the entire dorm is really excited for you to come! after all, you were best suited for diasomnia. it was just that...well, the dark mirror said you didn’t have any magic. but you and grim were one student and grim had magic so that must mean the magic mirror could be able to read grim. sebek, while not usually willing to bend the rules, wants to prepare the entirety of the welcome party. lilia won’t let him do everything (the last time that happened it was a bit of a disaster) also because they still aren’t sure if crowley would let you transfer over. malleus is the one trying to convince you to transfer. despite how run down ramshackle is, it’s become akin to your home at this school and you were hesitant to leave. silver couldn’t wait for you to come though he was being dragged around by sebek to prepare for the party.

HEARTSLABYUL

riddle immediately hits the rule books when he realizes you’re the perfect match for heartslabyul. there were no rules with the queen of hearts so the only thing holding them back was the school rules. he’s drafting up a whole appeal and has trey look over it constantly. cater is also helping out with the drafts and trying to make the language more “appealable” but...well, let’s say a lot of his edits aren’t up to riddle’s standards. on the other end, ace is busy fighting with deuce over who can room with you and who will be your best friend when you enter heartslabyul.

POMEFIORE

you’re beautiful, you’re graceful, and you’re ambitious. everything necessary to belong to pomefiore. it was that magic mirror that caused you to be sorted into ramshackle. and vil’s not having it, not when there’s clear talent within you. he’s going to appeal and he even scents his letter like the extra man he is. rook’s on board for whatever you want to do. he would prefer you come join them at pomefiore since you are a good fit and even has ideas to fit you your own dorm uniform when you come. epel’s more laid back. at least you’re a genuine person in pomefiore since the dorm is filled with people who aren’t so genuine.

SAVANACLAW

even without magic, your competitive spirit is through the roof which is something befitting of savanaclaw. leona has you coming over and staying over often without appealing which is unbefitting in crowley’s eyes. ruggie’s going to be the one doing the appeal this time around to make sure you’re able to stay. there are other dorms who think you’re a better fit for them and certainly the spelldrive tournament scandal doesn’t help. but that doesn’t matter. jack is excited for you to come and he’s plotting out a welcome party as ruggie’s typing up the appeal.

OCTAVINELLE

azul’s got influence, clearly with the mostro lounge being an established business at nrc. he has no problem talking to dire crowley about letting you into octavinelle and he’ll do it secretly do. the man won’t tell you you’re being transferred. and then jade’s at your door with azul and they’re both got big smiles on their faces, saying, “ready to go?” floyd’s already dragged you to octavinelle and you basically live there since you visit so often.

SCARABIA

it’s already implied that the reason why kalim was in nrc is because of a bribe. so there’s a likely chance that a bribe will be used to drag you into the scarabia dorm. jamil doesn’t approve of the use of bibery and it was probably mentioned offhand during a visit back home from kalim that he would love for you to join scarabia. he’ll probably write the appeal instead and pitch in a good word for you to dire crowley.

IGNIHYDE

there’s not much idia could do other than bring up the idea of you transferring from ramshackle to ignihyde. he’s most definitely preparing to write a letter. and when it’s done, he sends ortho to dire crowley to see the appeal. ortho couldn’t be more excited for the idea of you transferring. in fact, you remember him begging for you to transfer when he recognized that you were such a perfect fit for ignihyde.

My first fic is still In Progress, so i'll go for the fake dating fic I intended to write as my first fic but abandoned for Jaded Skies when I wasn't connecting with it.

She was close enough that he could smell her perfume. So sweet and floral he doubted it was artificial. Like a field of lilac with the subtle hints of grass and sun adding to the layers. A whole fucking vision of her splayed out in some flower field burrowed itself in his mind. So clear that it seemed like the memory of an actual experience and not one he’s just conjured up.

And from my last fic

The deep sinking feeling of nothingness crawled through her skin when Lexi failed to reason her way out of why she should have said no, because there wasn't a logical explanation. She wanted to lose her virginity and he was the perfect candidate. On paper he was the kind of guy she always envisioned being with for the first time, love must have been another one of her idealistic notions she needed to rid herself of. 

I still like both but I think I'm able to convey more in the second with the same amount of words. A positive for me.

Getting out of her room was the worse thing Jade could have done that morning.

After a long night of rehearsals for both TWICE's comeback and the debut of DetetionClub, she chose to stay by the dorm because it was closer and she was dying to sleep. She almost cried when the alarm ring echoed through her room, meaning it was more than past the time for her to wake up.

Jade put on her slippers without even noticing she had exchanged the pairs, aggressively opening her door, just to come across a full waken up Nayeon and Sana.

"Good morning..." she mumbled, heading straight to the kitchen to have her coffee ready.

"Good morning!" the two girls said with full energy.

"Have you checked your teaser already?" Sana asked, happily following the girl. Sana and Nayeon followed her while the other girls remained in the living room. 

"I literally just woke up." Jade said, straining coffee and yawning. "I didn't even know they were going to release it. I thought they forgot about me."

The girls laughed at her.

"What do you mean?!" Dahyun said, still laughing. "Just because you were the last one?"

Jade remained in silence as she took a sip of her black and strong coffee, feeling like warming up inside. She then, looked at the girls and nodded.

"You guys are too loud." Jade tried to change the subject. 

"OH MY GOD!" Momo exclaimed suddenly getting up, looking at her phone screen. "Jade-ssi, you're making history!" 

"Why? Why? Why?" Mina leaned over to see what she was doing in her phone and gasped in surprise. "Wow." 

"Jesus Chryst..." Jade mumbled, shaking her head and placing the dirt mug on the counter. "Y'all so obsessed." 

"Unnie," Chaeyoung screamed from her room. "your teaser is everywhere!" 

Jade puffed and rolled her eyes, sitting on the couch on the living room, trying to pay attention to whatever was going on the news. Her phone started ringing, and she picked up, without even checking who it was. 

"Yeah?" she said, placing the phone between her shoulder and her ear.

"You were sleeping while your name is everywhere?" Jihyo's voice echoed through the phone, and she had to put her phone away a bit. 

"Unnie," Jade whined. "what are you guys talking about? It's just a teaser, just like everyone's else." 

"IT'S THREE MILLION VIEWS ALREADY!" Nayeon screamed. 

"WHAT?" Jihyo shouted from the phone. 

Jade puffed and hung up, rolling her eyes again and going back to her room, not before being pulled by Sana and Momo back to the living room. 

"You're not going anywhere until that teaser beats 5 million." Momo said, forcing Jade to sit back. 

"Guys, I really just want to go back to my bed." Jade whined, closing her eyes. "Please!" 

"According to the stylist, the hat, the earing and the necklace she wore are all sold out." Dahyun said, lightly slapping Jade's arm and showed her a childish grin. "Such an influencer, uh?"

"Girls I-" Jade was interrupted by Tzuyu showing up in the living room, laughing.

"My mom just called me to say she just saw your teaser in a panel in the main venue." she said. "She wanted me to tell you that you're looking like a goddess and she's proud of you."

Jade blushed and tried to hide her face behind Mina's shoulder, whining in embarrassment.  

"What the fuck is happening." she cried out.

"She's blushing!" Nayeon pointed at Jade.

"Ya, you should be getting used to this." Momo said, also teasing the girl and sitting next to her, putting her leg over Jade's. "Now, let's see how that turned out."

She connected the TV on Youtube and searched for Jade's teaser, it being the first one to show up with more than 3 million views in less than 2 hours. The girls started teasing her but quickly stopped when the teaser started.

"Wow..." Sana said when Jade showed up in the floral background, with her leather black strapless dress and her white hair and strong makeup giving a big contrast.

When the scene suddenly changed, and Jade showed up with her hat, making the iconic bad bitch rest face she always did, with her perfectly defined eyeliner, everyone in the room gasped in surprise.

Mina pressed Jade’s knee in surprise while Tzuyu pat her head.

"JADE?! IS THAT YOU?!" Dahyun said, pointing at the Jade on TV and Jade sitting on the couch. "REALLY?!"

Jade just laughed and returned the attention to her video. 

Deep inside, Jade was proud of her work, but the whole edition and all the different camera lens they used, helped to get on the result they were watching now.

While they heard her almost inaudible voice saying 'I can't stop, can't stop me', all the girls screamed. The white screen with 'I can't stop me' on it with the release date showed up, and they all clapped.

"You're so hot!" Momo said, pocking her belly. "Johnny is a lucky man, uh?"

"I loved it when she took the hat off." Tzuyu said in a playful tone.

"Thank you, guys." Jade said, wanting to hide from the world.

"HER DIAMOND RING IS ALSO SOLD OUT!" Chaeyoung screamed, suddenly showing up in the living room.  "And it just hit 4 million views."

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?"

Azul, you’ve worked very hard. Allow me to make you some tea so you may relax for a while. *pours tea* think of this as my gift to you for your birthday... and I’m will to do anything else you ask just for today, free of charge fufu~

“A cup of tea is just what I need.” Azul waved a hand, gesturing for you to pour some. “Typically, Jade is responsible for brewing beverages for me when I burn the midnight oil—so you’ve got some stiff competition.”

He leaned forward on Raven’s his desk and peered into the tin of loose leaves that you had produced, along with a tea set. Eyes closed, he sniffed, allowing the various aromas of the dried leaves to permeate his senses. Something soft and floral, with a hint of bitterness... like a love lost at sea.

It was entirely unlike anything he had ever experienced before.

“An original blend, just for me?” Azul guessed, amusement creeping over his features. “What an honor. I look forward to sampling it after it is done brewing.”

“Hmm... as for your other offer, I think I know what I have in mind.” He stuck out a hand, palm upward. His mouth curved pleasantly, his voice as sweet as honey. “Your wallet. Hand it over.”

“... Did I stutter?” Azul’s smile didn’t waver, not once—it only widened upon catching your startled expression. “You did say that you would be willing to do anything else I asked of you just for today, correct? I do believe that includes giving all of your savings to me.”

“Well? Do not keep the birthday boy waiting.” His fingers curled expectantly. “Give me your gems and keys, Anon-san.”

Hey hey hey! Can I ask for a Daichi scenario where Daichi forgets that he has a date with his tsundere s/o on a day off and played volleyball instead. When he finished playing volleyball (probably night already), he quickly rushes to the meeting place where they should've meet only to find out their s/o dressed up for their date but crying. Please please please! I love Dadchi so much. XD

DAICHI

Daichi had been out of breath by the time he reached the barren park as a dishevelled mess, stopping to take a breath mere feet away from you. You sat on a bench, head low and making no attempts to look up at your heaving boyfriend. If the circumstances were different, Daichi would have complimented how beautiful you looked in your floral dress but decided against it.

After all, he was nearly two and a half hours late for your date and now didn’t seem the time for flattery.

“(Name)-” Daichi started as soon as he caught his breath, voice heavy with guilt, only to stop abruptly at the sight of tears running down your face, sparkling under the setting sun.

His eyes widened in shock, mouth agape with the inability to formulate any words. He made you cry. He’d never seen you cry before. This was so much worse than the thought of you being angry at him, the sight of your tears stabbing him directly through the heart.

“(Name)?” He whispered out softly, reaching a warm palm out to touch your shoulder. You didn’t move away from his touch and he took that as permission to carefully sit down next to you on the bench. He realized now just how cold you must have been and made the quick motion of shrugging off his volleyball jacket and draping it over your slouched form.

You sat unmoving, not willing to lift your head fully to look at him. Daichi found himself hating the silent more than the thought of you yelling at him.

“I’m so sorry,” His voice was low with remorse as he moved his arm to wrap around you, hoping the gesture would comfort you in the slightest.

“I lost track of time after meeting up with my team at the gym, I know there’s no excuse for me to forget, but I can assure you I never intended to leave you waiting here for me like this,” His eyes desperately tried to search for your expression through the curtain of hair that hid you away from him.

Slowly, he reached out a hand to tuck your hair over your ear, finally catching a proper glimpse of you rather than wet cheeks. You were staring at the ground with jaded eyes, however, your quivering bottom lip gave away just how you were feeling.

“It’s alright, I understand,” You whispered out, voice hoarse from crying, you were just glad he decided to show up when your sobs had died down into silent tears. Daichi examined you sadly, taking in the sight of you he had never wished to ever see.

You weren’t the most emotional person, especially when he first met you. In fact, you were cold and hostile. Knowing it was all a facade, Daichi persisted in getting to know you. The true you. And it was one of the best decisions he had made as you opened up to him and he came to know just how loving you were. 

Yet, he was still at a loss to see you crying. You had never cried in front of him before, Daichi had forgotten such a possibility even existed within you. He was so used to your cold facade that neglected to show emotions to your loving side that was reserved for him. It was a total blow for him, knowing he was the cause of it.

“I’m so glad you’re here, I tho...I thought you didn’t,” Daichi pulled you into a hug as your words faded into sobs, rubbing your arm in an attempt to soothe you.

“I thought you were doing this because you didn’t want to see me, but to hear you were with your friends...that makes me glad,” You spoke softly after eventually calming down in his embrace, the tears now drying upon your face thanks to the gentle breeze that drifted past.

“No, no, please don’t ever think that,” Daichi’s eyes widened at your revelation, you were upset because you thought he didn’t want to be with you. 

“I love being around you,” He added in softly, hoping to reassure you. You looked up at him, smiling weakly,

“I love being around you, too,” you whispered, finding yourself growing tired after the events of today. His soothing rubs weren’t helping in having you not fall asleep.

“I’m sorry for thinking like that, you know I don’t really believe you’re someone who would do that, but when you were taking so long to get here, I..” You trailed off with a sigh, averting your eyes from Daichi who shushed you,

“It’s alright, I should be the one apologizing, not you,” He admired how the setting sun lit up your features with its soft glow before continuing,

“I feel so bad for forgetting, it was really irresponsible of me,” Daichi spoke just above a whisper, moving his hand to cup your cheek as his thumb rubbed over your cheekbone gently.

“Please, let me make it up to you,” He whispered as his face neared yours and you followed, lips meeting in a kiss.

how he makes it up to you is up to your own interpretation ;)

hey floral i think im legally obligated to tell you that i had the thought 'what if i wrote theatre of coolty but its various versions of jade all asleep and waiting to wake up in the void' and then promptly blacked out and wrote 3k worth of dialogue in like 3 hours and im not even finished. anyway thank u for validating the eternal truth of jade being the best character ever conceived no exceptions and spreading that Good Word /salutes

i feel like this is such an easy battle.

because hands down, it's azul and floyd. azul would easily take down jade considering azul in his merform makes him extremely powerful.

and rook doesn't stand a chance between ANY of them even with a the potion that lets him breath underwater. he's essentially at their mercy.
