Mateo and Sofia

Mateo is the older sibling and a legacy of aphrodite. they go by they/he.

Sofia is the younger sister and a daughter of vulcan. she goes by she/her.

They have a two year age gap.

Mateo:

he was adopted when he was 1-2.

they are of Afrolatino Puerto Rican heritage.

Mateo, unlike their papa, is very gentle and soft, and unlike their dad, doesn't know how to fight. not unlike dad, Mateo's very accident prone since childhood. Jason makes sure to remove any staplers in the house.

they're a grandchild of Aphrodite, so their powers are limited. surprisingly strong amokinesis for a legacy, almost to the same level as their demigod counterparts.

sometimes jason and leo can't believe they raised someone so soft and gentle when they're so messed up from all the fighting. both argue that Mateo gets their gentleness from the other.

Sofia:

adopted when she was 3-4.

she is of mexican heritage.

leo and jason were just as nervous adopting her as they were mateo because they were aware there would be differences with raising a girl.

she takes after leo a lot. she's very loud and hyperactive but also incredibly smart and experiences really strong hyperfocus.

Jason jokes that Sofia is all Leo's work due to how much she resembles him in demeanor. To a lot of people's surprise, she tended to spend more time with Jason growing up.
