Happy birthday! Anything SIAT please
a continuation of 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
Ingina isn't at all appreciative of her efforts.
"Four years?" she screeches. "I could have been married this year but thanks to you I have to wait four years!"
Rowena doesn't massage her temple only because she knows better than to show weakness to enemy. "Yes, and now you might actually have a decent relationship with your husband. Apparently Godric is better than the rumors, because he wasn't exactly eager to wed and bed a teenager a decade younger than him. Give yourself a couple years to grow up. Maybe study your swordplay if you want him to be actually interested."
Her eyes narrow. "Well, you've changed your tune, haven't you? You just want him for yourself!"
She wrinkles her nose. "One, absolutely not. Two, if I did I would have simply challenged him for his hand and we'd already be married. I really did this for your benefit, Ingina."
"I hate you!" she snaps, stomping off to her room in a flurry of skirts.
Rowena resists the urge to summon something alcoholic. She's still not completely over her hangover from drinking with Helga. Again.
Godric had warned her. Salazar had just laughed.
"Maybe I should have bargained for eight years instead," she says dryly.
Her uncle claps her on the shoulder than goes after his daughter.
Her father is giving her a look that makes the space between her shoulder blades itch. "What?"
"You do seem to be more complimentary towards the young Lord Gryffindor," he says slowly.
"Not you too," she sighs. "He has excellent companions and is rather tolerable after the second glass." She pauses then admits, "I do not believe he would have much patience for Ingina as she is now. "
"Well," he sighs, "let's hope the next four years are full of change, then."

Could I have an imagine/a little scenario of Madara, Itachi, Sasuke and Hashirama explaining to his son that his wife is pregnant again and that he'll have a little sibling soon? Thank you, I love your posts!
this is so soft i'm- 🥺
notes/warnings: f!reader, pregnancy talk, non-massacre au,
Madara Uchiha
His firstborn has just turned four years old when you become pregnant with your second child. Fatherhood hadn't come naturally like he thought it should have, so he's relieved that he's got three years of practice before he needed to be ready for a second. He was around his son's age when Izuna was born, making him an older sibling, so it felt right. He and his siblings all had a couple years between them (even if the clan elders seemed to forget that).
It's a soft spoken request that he be the one to tell your son about the new arrival to the family, feeling that his duty as a father was to prepare his son for the future. He didn’t know really how to say what needed to be said, so he was hoping for a moment to make itself know for him to take advantage of it. So he takes the boy along while attending to his duties around the village, the boy sitting atop his shoulders until they reach the clinic where Madara needed to get the herbs for your tea and medicines that would help keep you and the baby healthy as your bodies developed.
“What’s that stuff for? Is Mother sick?”
“No, no, far from it.” He supposes now is the opportunity he was hoping for, so he kneels in front of the boy who looked so much like his mother it was charming. “Your mother is pregnant, which means that in a few months she is going to have a baby.”
“A baby!?”
“Indeed, and we have important jobs as the father and big brother to take care of your mother as she grows this new life and to protect her and the new baby when they’re born. You are the eldest son, you will have responsibility over your younger sibling always, and it will be your job to help me train them.”
Hashirama Senju
Your firstborn son isn't even talking by the time you're pregnant with your second child. The village elders think it's wonderful that you're so fertile and healthy after giving birth that you could become pregnant again, Hashirama is stressed out of his mind. He's ecstatic at having another child come into the family, sure, but concerned about how you'll manage two children under two years old while he is busy as the Hokage.
So he turns to his new therapist: his not even year old son. You were fast asleep but the babe was fussy, and he was more than happy to quietly walk around until the infant was asleep in his arms. Only he talked while he did.
"You know, your mother is going to have another baby in a few months," he starts, large hand rubbing his son's back. "You're going to be a big brother, like your papa and your uncle. It's a big job, you've got to set a good example since younger ones copy everything you do. It's kinda annoying sometimes but don't tell your uncle I said that. I'm gonna do everything I can to be a good father, and help you be a good big brother, but you've got to do me a favor and start sleeping through the night. Your mother will need to be well rested so she can give you a healthy sibling, I will need to be well rested so I can take care of our family, and you will need to be well rested so you can fill our days with so much love and joy and grow into a splendid young man."
The child is asleep on his shoulder now, but Hashirama feels like they've made an agreement tonight.
Sasuke Uchiha
Sasuke has to ask Itachi how the news was broken to him. He knew their parents didn't just have a second child and not tell their oldest son, but he needed to know how they did it. Did they just say it? Did they have to explain how babies were made?
And of course, the elder sibling was of no assistance. He apparently didn't remember having a conversation like that with their parents (but Sasuke was certain that Itachi just liked to see him squirm).
Which leads Sasuke to sit on the dock with his five year old son, much like he used to with his own father. The boy is excited to tell him about school, and how he's the best in his class.
"You're not yet a shinobi, but I need to give you a mission," Sasuke starts, a hand atop his son's head as the boy stares up at him. Sasuke giving his son "missions" was not a rare occurrence - it actually was how he ensured that the more tedious tasks got done (like eating vegetables and cleaning up toys). "A pretty big task, your most important mission."
"What is it?"
"You're going to be a big brother soon, so I'll need you to help me take care of your mom and the new baby when they come."
He anticipated the excitement at the news, and was equally relieved that the young boy was excited to be a big brother. What he hadn't anticipated was his son hopping up to go run to his uncle's house, needing advice for how to prepare to be a good big brother.
Itachi Uchiha
He has to get over his own excitement first. He's had so much fun as a father to his firstborn, the last four years being nothing but joy (even when he was running on less than three hours of sleep due to teething, restlessness, or needing to sweep the house three times to ensure there weren't any monsters after a bad nightmare). Two have two children running around, filling his home with light and laughter, was just a dream come true.
He waits until he has the first ultrasound photo, wanting to be as informational about this as he could be since he knew his son would have questions. Then he sits in the grass with his son and asks if the boy would like to see something beautiful. He takes the time to explain the picture in his hands, and that his son was looking at the first ever picture of his younger sibling.
"We'll be doing a lot of preparation for their arrival, and your mother and I will need your help taking care of them when they get here. Babies have a lot of needs."
"I can't wait to meet them." The boy says cheerfully, looking up at his father with a wide smile. "Will you train me to look for monsters like you and mom do for me?"
"When you're old enough, I will."

Now I really want to see your zeref redesign 👀👀👀
He was actually one of the ones I made in 2022!
Tumblr media
He is due for a redraw though. I had this idea of him creating the dragon slayers amoung other ideas that I rambled about. Short of it is: I want to lean into him being tragic but utterly unforgivable in the actions he takes to get what he wants.

laishuro is not yet common fandom vernacular. their names are difficult to mash together and laishuro is just the one that i came up with. other people have also considered this ship but if theyre making anything for it it's entirely possible theyre using a different tag/ship name

Heyy, have you ever wrote about Lafayette and Napoleon's feelings/contact with each other?
'cause even knowing some stuff about them, i think that there might be more for it than I know
Thankss <3
Dear Anon,
the relationship between La Fayette and Napoléon was a very complex and layered one, but I will try to give you detailed summary.
The first link between La Fayette and Napoléon was in January of 1791 when a young Napoléon mentioned La Fayette in a letter to his friend Matteo Buttafoco. The letter and commentary on it can be found in this post here.
The next serious connection between these two man came when Napoléon defeated the Austrians and the Treaty of Campo Formio was signed, thus freeing La Fayette and his fellow prisoners from Olmütz. La Fayette, duly thankful to Napoléon, wrote the General a note of thanks. Again, the letter itself and commentary can be found in this post here.
La Fayette spend the next years in exile and he and Napoléon had next to no real connection at the time. This all changed when La Fayette, due to the brilliant work of Adrienne, returned to France during Napoléon’s Coup d’État in 1799.
His name and the names of many of his family members were still on the list of émigrés so legally they could not return to France. When La Fayette did so anyway, Napoléon was not amused. He was eventually consoled by Adrienne and Napoléon eventually restored La Fayette’s citizenship in March of 1800.
La Fayette was banned from attending the memorial service for the American General George Washington who died on December 14, 1799. George Washington had been a close friend, confident and father figure for La Fayette. Despite all this, La Fayette’s and Napoléon’s relationship still was rather friendly. They actually had a certain respect for each other as Generals but especially Napoléon was from the start quite wary around the Marquis. La Fayette had been vastly popular in France and still was. His popularity had greatly suffered during the second half of the French Revolution but his time in prison and the actions of his wife had partly helped to restore it. La Fayette had no political ambitions when he returned to France and his popularity was still tarnished but he nevertheless could have posed a threat to Napoléon if he really, really would have wanted that. The two of them met a few times at social functions and also exchanged letters but their relationship deteriorated more and more with time. They were similar in one aspect though, they both longed for glory – but their approach was different.
Napoléon hoped to gain La Fayette’s support for his government but La Fayette refused to serve in the Senate and to become the French ambassador to his beloved America, although both positions were suggested to him through different sources. La Fayette was also offered to be made a member of the Legion of Honour. He again refused. He had no interest of being overly entangled with Napoléon. Although not being outspoken in public La Fayette would not keep his opinions for himself if somebody asked him about his opinions. Actually, there was no need asking him about his opinions, La Fayette was one of the most well-known men in France, everybody even remotely interested in politics knew his stance. There is a passage from a conversation Napoléon and La Fayette had in the summer of 1802:
‘I [Napoléon] must tell you, General Lafayette, and I see with regret that, by your manner of expressing yourself on the acts of the government you give to its enemies the weight of your name.’ Lafayette replied, ‘What better can I do? I live in retirement in the country, I avoid occasions for speaking; but whenever anyone comes to ask me whether your regime conforms to my ideas of liberty, I shall answer that it does not; for, General, I certainly wish to be prudent, but I shall not be false.’
Bayard Tuckermann, Life of General Lafayette; with a critical estimate of his character and public acts, Vol. 2, Low, London, 1889, p. 158.
La Fayette did not trust Napoléon and did not wish to be part of his government. La Fayette voted against the consulship for life and this decision was at least from Napoléon’s point of view the final nail in the coffin of their relationship. La Fayette explained to Napoléon himself in a letter from May 20, 1802:
General – When a man who is deeply impressed with a sense of the gratitude he owes you, and who is too ardent a lover of glory to be wholly indifferent to yours, connects his suffrage with conditional restrictions, those restrictions not only secure him from suspicion, but prove amply that no one will more gladly than himself behold in you the chief magistrate for life, of a free and independent republic.
Life of Lafayette: Including an Account of the Memorable Revolution of the Memorable Revolution of the Three Days of 1830, Light & Horton, Boston, 1835, pp. 1.
But La Fayette was still somewhat out of Napoléon’s reach. But his son, who joined the military in 1800, and his son-in-law, Louis de Lasteyrie, were not. Although both of them and especially Georges, distinguished themselves in battles, they were not promoted. Whenever a promotion for one of them was up for debate, it never came to pass. La Fayette’s son and son-in-law therefor left the army in September of 1807 – there was just no point in serving any longer.
During the 100 Days, Napoléon’s brief return to power after his exile on St. Helena and prior to his exile on Elba, La Fayette became outspoken once again. He had been elected to the Chamber of Representatives (not to be confused with the Chamber of Deputies; both were the lower chambers of the French Parliament but the Chamber of Deputies was active during the Bourbon Restoration, the Chamber of Representatives was only active during The Hundred Days) in 1814. He had previously argued that too little people in France were eligible to vote the members of the Chamber of Deputies that such a political body could never represent France. Anyway, La Fayette was pretty silent as a Representative until June 21, 1815, after Napoléon’s defeat at Waterloo. The Chamber meet early that day to discuss the general state of affairs. La Fayette rose and proposed the following:
Representatives! For the first time during many years you hear a voice, which the old friends of liberty will yet recognize. I rise to address you concerning the dangers to which the country is exposed. The sinister reports which have been circulated during the last two days, are unhappily confirmed. This is the moment to rally round the national colours—the Tricoloured Standard of 1788—the standard of liberty, equality, and public order. It is you alone who can now protect the country from foreign attacks, and internal dissensions. It is you alone who can secure the independence and the honour of France.
Permit a veteran in the sacred cause of liberty, in all times a stranger to the spirit of faction, to submit to you some resolutions which appear to him to be demanded by a sense of the public danger, and by the love of our country. They are such as, I feel persuaded, you will see the necessity of adopting:
I. The Chamber of Deputies declares that the independence of the nation is menaced.
II. The Chamber declares its sittings permanent. Any attempt to dissolve it, shall be considered high treason. Whosoever shall render himself culpable of such an attempt shall be considered a traitor to his country, and immediately treated as such.
III. The Army of the Line, and the National Guards, who have fought, and still fight, for the liberty, the independence, and the territory of France, have merited well of the country.
IV. The Minister of the Interior is invited to assemble the principal officers of the Parisian national Guard, in order to consult on the means of providing it with arms, and of completing this corps of citizens, whose tried patriotism and zeal offer a sure guarantee for the liberty, prosperity, and tranquillity of the capital, and for the inviolability of the national representatives.
V. The Ministers of War, of Foreign Affairs, of Police, and of the Interior are invited to repair immediately to the sittings of the Chamber.
Bayard Tuckermann, Life of General Lafayette; with a critical estimate of his character and public acts, Vol. 2, Low, London, 1889, pp. 190-193.
The resolution was soon adopted with the exception of the fourth paragraph. Please note that the exact wording of La Fayette’s little speech differs a little bit from translation to translation, but the gist is always the same. La Fayette more or less openly called for the abdication of the Emperor Napoléon. When Napoléon’s brother urged the Chamber to reconsider La Fayette answered him that (again, different sources translate slightly different):
Who shall dare to accuse the French nation of inconstancy to the Emperor Napoleon? That nation has followed his bloody footsteps through the sands of Egypt and through the wastes of Russia; over fifty fields of battle; in disaster as faithfully as victory; and it is for having thus devotedly followed him that we now mourn the blood of three millions of Frenchmen.
Life of Lafayette: Including an Account of the Memorable Revolution of the Memorable Revolution of the Three Days of 1830, Light & Horton, Boston, 1835, p. 114.
Yes, la Fayette could give quite a speech - if he wanted to. Other the next days, Napoléon was urged to abdicate (June 22, 1815) with the threat that the Chamber would otherwise abdicate for him. The Chamber selected a committee of fife men to meet with delegates of the allied forces for the allies had promised peace negotiations, provided Napoléon was not longer in power. One of these fife men was La Fayette. There are not too many letters from La Fayette about these events that I can show you, but here is an excerpt from a letter to Thomas Jefferson from October 10, 1815:
In your Letters of Last year, anterior to the first Abdication of Bonaparte, you Had Expressed a due Sense of that Character who Having it in His Power to Be a Blessing did prefer to Become a Curse to Mankind. His despotism and His follies Had made the Restoration of the Bourbons, notwithstanding foreign invasion, a popular Event—They Returned the Compliment. Their prejudiced mismanagement, the more Glaring improprieties of Privilege-men Gave Napoleon the Opportunity to Reappear as a Representative of the Revolution. Whatever may Have Been a few Subaltern Intrigues, the Great, the Efficacious Conspiracy in His Behalf may Be attributed to the Counter Revl[uti]onary party.
in those transactions I took No part altho’ I would Have Readily assisted in Opposing Napoleon Had Not the patriotic System me[t] the Same objections which Had Ruined the Constitutional throne of 92.
We then Have Seen the Imperial destroyer of french Liberty Reassuming a Republican Language, Bowing to [na]tional Sovereignty, allowing a free press, and altho’ Vindictive or Arbitrary acts too often Betray’d old Habits, persuading many patriots to Rejoice at His Conversion—Not So did I—But While I Shunned personal Communication with Him, I declared that, if a free Representation was Convened, I would Stand a Candidate—we were, my Son and myself elected.
at the Same time a million of foreign invaders were, in Concert with Lewis the 18t and the elder Branch of His family, Led Against Bonaparte, was it Said, against what and whom the Event Has proved—the defense of national independance and territory Became, of Course, our principal object. it was my opinion that Unanimity and vigor Could Better Be Roused By a popular than By the Imperial Government—The Majority of the Assembly and Army depended more on the General Ship of Napoleon altho’ His whole troops did little Exceed two Hundred thousand. So we all joined on that Line of Resistance. No impediment was thrown, Every Assistance was Given. Never did our Heroïc Army fight Better than at waterloo. a Stubborn Mistake of Bonaparte Lost the day. He deserted His Soldiers, and Determined to dissolve our Assembly, usurp dictatorial powers, prefering the chances of Confusion and involving destruction to those of firmness and patriotism. That part of the impending Evils was timely prevented. it might Have Been the Case with the other part, altho’ Coming upon us in a Storm, Had Not the old diplomacy in poland, Napoleon’s policy in Spain, the Spirit of pilnitz in 91, and of the Last Congress at vienna Been far Surpassed By the present Coalition.
inclosed you will find a few pieces Relative to our Late House of Representatives. their declaration of the 5t July 1815 Congenial with the principles of 1789 are an additional proof that if the french people Have deplorably Erred in the means they Have Steadily persevered in the primary object of the Revolution.
“Lafayette to Thomas Jefferson, 10 October 1815,” Founders Online, National Archives, [Original source: The Papers of Thomas Jefferson, Retirement Series, vol. 9, September 1815 to April 1816, ed. J. Jefferson Looney. Princeton: Princeton University Press, 2012, pp. 67–69.] (05/22/2023)
After Napoléon’s abdication, the relationship between him and La Fayette effectively ended safe for one important letter that I would like to show you. La Fayette had himself been a prisoner of war for several years and he had suffered under the conditions imposed upon him. When there was talk that the British mistreated Napoléon on Saint Helena, La Fayette wrote a letter to the American Secretary of the Treasury William H. Crawford in 1819 – and as before, the letter can be found in this post here.
I hope this answer is helpful to you and I hope you have/had a wonderful day!

would madara and iizuna have children with their respective partners in the founders omegaverse au? how would parenthood work out for them?
the sound i made as your ask came in was not of this world
so cracking knuckles here it comes
as for Madara, as soon as he's settled down and finds some peace within himself and within the village they build, he's ready for parenthood. I imagine that Madara loves children. Even before he started his own family, he took extra time to take care of the children of his clan. (I'm not going into depth of the Uchiha clan now ahh)
Anyway, Madara always wanted children, he just never thought the world would give him a chance to start a family. He believed they'd be stuck in war - not to mention the emotional trauma from being not good enough from his body parts alone. Madara ruled a family out.
Things changed way later and as soon as he settled he wants 5 or 25 children. Keep it up Hashirama!
I sketched out the first two children they are having later in life. Hitori (the older boy) - Hiroki (the younger boy) They eventually get a third one (which will be a girl) but after that Madara won't be able to get any more :(
Tumblr media
Parenting works out surprisingly well. Madara's amazing with children - he's got a natural way with them and the kids do latch onto him most of the time. But he's not raising them alone. Hashirama has a bit of a problem dividing his attention at first. Two kids are a lot to watch out for at once.
After Madara told him that he's shocked that Hashirama can fight 8 enemies at once but not watch out for 2 children at a time, Hashirama went !!!!!!!!!! and started to treat raising kids a lot like watching out for enemies and now he's able to fully join childcare without breaking down because one kid does something he's not supposed to do while he needs to hold onto the other. Now he can juggle both of them.
A lot of times the kids will be with Hashirama at the Hokage office when Madara's out doing missions. When they are not with Hashirama in the office and Madara leaves, he drops them off at the Uchihan compound and they will be taken care of.
Now onto Izuna
Tumblr media
:/
Izuna ... doesn't really want kids. It's not so much that he doesn't want kids, he doesn't mind them, but he never wanted to be in a relationship in the first place. So he never gave kids much of a thought.
Izuna struggles a lot with the commitment to Tobirama and a child would feel like he was gonna bind himself to him and he's not ready for this for a LONG TIME.
Tobirama, on the other hand, does want a family. He'd like to have at least two children, but he's not pushing Izuna and the moment Izuna told him that he doesn't want any kids, Tobirama tries to say goodbye to these wishes.
I'll spare you from their rocky relationship story lmao, but eventually Izuna comes back around to the wish - and he also accidentally becomes pregnant. (Though it's a rather difficult time for the two of them at that stage, still he doesn't hate the idea so much anymore).
After a long consideration, they decide to keep the baby.
Tumblr media
So Mahomi's born! Their daughter :( <3
Parenting wise, Tobirama does a lot because Izuna struggles the first months ... year ...s or so, but he's not neglectful, he just needs a bit more time to adjust. They find their rhythm though and Izuna's finding that, with Tobirama also there, he doesn't lose anything of himself and only gains something.
They do raise her together, of course, but Tobirama's got everything figured out much easier. When neither of them are there, Maho's mostly dropped off at Madara's. When Madara's not there, she goes into the Uchihan compound.
But that's rarely happening because at some point Tobirama concentrates more on research than beating people up on missions and he's at home a lot more.
They might, later down the street, even get a second child! But we'll see!
ANYWAY; THAT'S IT FOR NOW THANK YOU FOR YOUR ASK, THIS WAS MY PLEASURE

a continuation of 1 2 3 4 5
"Oh, relax," Helga says, close enough that their arms are pressed together. "It's not like she's going to kill him. It's not like she can."
"After the duel, you can tell her that and fight her yourself," he says, glancing between Rowena and Godric as they circle each other. By the way she's holding her sword, he agrees with Helga, but it only takes one hit. Godric proves that every tournament.
"Fighting someone after they've faced Godric is hardly playing fair," she says. "Why're you so worried about this, Zar?"
He considers what he can say without betraying Godric's confidence, but it's not like Helga doesn't already know. She has eyes and she's far from stupid. "He's not particularly interested in marrying Ingina."
Predictably, she shrugs. "He has to marry someone."
She's right. And the only person Godric has ever shown serious interest in is unsuitable for more reasons than most people can count. "What if he throws it?"
"To get out of the marriage?" she says, startled. "What's the point? Lady Gryffindor will be pissed and just engage him to someone else. It won't stop anything."
"Ah, of course," Salazar says. "You're right, that's such an illogical course of action to take. Godric would never do such a thing."
Now Helga looks worried too.

I'm convinced that miss Brexit herself knew about Bucky being TWS and probably saw him in that chair, looked him in the eye, and said nothing. And knowing what I know about her, she probably had a sick thrill seeing the person Steve wanted more than her beaten down and brutalised. It makes me furious.
*EDIT*
What If...? season 2 confirmed she did know, and would have no problem using Bucky as Hydra did.
.
Original answer:
She may be stupid and oblivious...
(see, eg: not being able to spot a real spy outside a secret lab, not being able to spot that a real spy is living next door until they're kissing her on the mouth, needing to have how many sides a cube has explained to her, needing Jarvis to explain that she shouldn't throw a large heavy object out of a window while she's handcuffed to it, not understanding how interrogation / lying works in her short film, etc. etc.)
...But she's far too nosy not to find out for decades!
Especially not when Howard already knows (meta here and here), and Zola's working in the same place as her, under her employ (which she insisted nobody else but she had control over, in her Ant Man cameo... where she's working with another Hydra agent, Mitchell Carson).
And when she is personally, singularly responsible for hiring not just Zola but the other Hydra scientist personally responsible for the WS mind-control program (Johann Fennhoff).
Unlike her irrelevance to Steve's story, (that 'failing the sexy lamp test' I've banged on about before), she is absolutely instrumental in bringing about Bucky's WS arc. In fact, if you deleted the character entirely, Steve's arc would be no different at all but Bucky's would be immeasurably improved!
(And her being instrumental in the WS program creation means, as a knock on consequence, that if you delete her you'd also free a lot of the Black Widows, and possibly also Taskmaster, since Dreykov was only able to keep them enslaved with research stolen from the WS program. Yikes. And she's known about the Red Room child victims already since the 1940s.)
Her What If episode has Peggy casually hinting at having tortured Zola... whom she happily works with in her next What If episode. And that Ant Man cameo has her telling SS Officer Werner Reinhardt/Daniel Whitehall that she considers his work "valuable" and worth hiring him for (in the exact circumstances she worked with Zola in What If). And Reinhardt later goes on to torture people (though no doubt he had tortured people already during the war). So canon strongly suggests she's got no problems with torture.
And if Howard was there with his buddy 'Arnie', torturing Bucky, (pretty likely, since he's the one with WS in the 90s) the way Peggy lets Howard get away with doing bad things without criticism in CATFA, (which they ineptly tried to retcon in her show), suggests she'd just do the same over.
To play devil's advocate for a moment, though:
Due to the strong vein of misogyny that runs through the writing of this character (AKA, men writing what they think are strong female characters), there is a certain amount of evidence to support a reading where Peggy really is just an oblivious posh twerp?
A white feminist nepobaby glass ceiling hire, brought in under the auspices of Daddy / Daddy's Friend the Senator / Fiancee in Home Office / Brother in Old Boys Network / Millionaire Sugar Daddy / dining out off Alleged Ex Flame's Fame, etc. Basically just there to catch the heat for the men who don't listen to her (the real movers and shakers), because she's conveniently stupid and well connected, and too arrogant to believe that anybody else could possibly be in charge while she's around.
But her serial incompetence is more an accident of the writing than what they were actually aiming for. What they were aiming for, and think they've achieved, is 'Peggy is the boss of Everyone and can do everything the men can do, backwards in high heels!!' Where 'everything' means 'decades of Nazi collaboration and condoning torture.' 😬
Her own show demonstrates that she's happy to free villains and work with them, multiple times (or perhaps, that she's stupid enough to fall for it when villains transparently goad her into freeing them? 🤔). Because she cares most about her own pride; about showing off and looking good ('I, however, am not afraid of you') so as not to be thought inferior to the men whose respect she can't admit she desperately craves. Far more important than something boring like keeping people safe, or doing her actual job. 🥱 Beneath her dignity!
(Try to picture consummate spy Natasha doing any of this! Or Coulson! 😂)
So, if you did believe in an an 'oblivious bullying posh idiot / scapegoat hire' reading, I can easily see a scenario where Peggy finds out that Bucky is alive, and is being tortured, and simply has no problem with it just because some SHIELDra employee tells her he's a Bad Man.
She never knew Steve or Steve's friends well enough to see the nonsense in that, after all. And according to her show, the only reason Steve himself had any moral sense, she believes, is because she was there to provide him 'courage, strategy, and moral guidance.'
(The fact that Steve always did the exact bleedin' diametric opposite of whatever she said, if he listened at all... doesn't seem to have occurred to her?? 🤔)
So can't you just picture a scene where she, Saint Margaret, sanctimoniously lectures poor Bucky on being a terrible person, while he's strapped into the electric chair, not understanding who she is or what he's done wrong? 😥 (No doubt followed by her flouncing off dramatically, thinking she's done the Men's Job for them.)
Canonically, as per CATFA, she lacks the requisite humility and common sense to realise that someone (anyone!) could matter more to Steve than her (which, after all, isn't hard; they never even went on a date.) But there's something about the sinister way they have her stepping into Bucky's shoes, even taking over his war record, without ever mentioning him (other than to sneer at a radio show character with his story but her name).
A Watsonian explanation of this is that, subconsciously, Peggy does recognise Bucky's greater importance to Steve, and wishes he had never existed. Probably the Rat writers projecting onto her! 🙄

you know, i can see as clear as day during the courting period and the first weeks or months of Hashirama's marriage that he was worried sick about how would Mito and Tobirama get along, soo after he's going grey because those gremlims get along like a forest fire whcih they cause one on a weekly basis when they either do a colab or try to outdo eachother in a inane dick measauring contest, the fact Touka is the side lines throwing gas into the fire doens't help at all.
Hashirama, of all people, being the normal one of his family has got to be one of my favorite genres for real lol
Like, as a standalone person, he's definitely the most ridiculous one. Or second most, depending on how insane Madara is yet. But everyone put together? All hell breaks lose and poor Hashirama just stands in the middle of it like "You guys know things cost money, right??" - "Stop destroying my village, I worked very had on it!!" - "Ohmygod, Mito, this is not proper safety measure, wtf"
And I am so here for it

did georges have any friends in america, i know he was trying to stay undercover but since he stayed with the hamiltons a bit he had philip who was in close age, and other kids in the hamilton house that georges could’ve talked to. i’m very interested in georges but I can’t seem to really find anything about his stay in america besides the letters with washington and hamilton♥️
Dear Anon,
thank you for the question. I really like to see all the interest that Georges received lately on this blog!
While it is true that Georges (born December 24, 1779) was quite close in age to Philip Hamilton (born January 22, 1782) I do not believe that were that close. I have never seen any source, letters for example, that suggested that the two were close. Georges stayed only a short time with the Hamilton’s and his and Philip’s friendship therefor would have to develop quickly. I am not an expert on the Hamilton’s, so somebody correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that Philip was during this time quite busy with his studies and he and his younger brother Alexander Hamilton jr. only spend the weekends with their family. If I am correct, Georges would have little interaction with the two oldest boys. He himself was busy continuing his studies and was overall in a dark state of mind. Georges, still almost a child, had gone through a series of life-changing events and did not seem to be in the mood to socialize or to find new friends. Even if he forged meaningful connections with the Hamilton children, they did not make him feel better. Hamilton wrote on December 24, 1795 to George Washington:
Young La Fayette appears melancholy and has grown thin. A letter lately received from his mother which speaks of something which she wishes him to mention to you (as I learn from his preceptor) has quickened his sensibility and increased his regret. If I am satisfied that the present state of things is likely to occasion a durable gloom, endangering the health & in some sort the mind of the young man (…).

When Georges came to live with his godfather George Washington, he seemed to have formed a close bond with Elizabeth “Eliza” Parke Custis Law and Eleanor “Nelly” Parke Custis Lewis. The two sisters were the children of John Parke Custis, Martha Washingtons only surviving son and George Washingtons adopted son. The relationship with Nelly appears to have been especially close.
Eleanor Parke Custis Lewis wrote on January 26, 1825, to her friend Elizabeth Bordley Gibson:

Georges has had a beautiful engraving of his father, a proof copy of the fine painting, framed for me. I shall bring it home soon – only two were sent from France, the Genl had presented one to Commodore [illegible], & this, George was resolved no one but me should have, & that no one but himself should present it. You may judge how precious it will be to me [paper torn] I know of his family, [paper torn] more attached I feel to them all. [paper torn] [illegible] love George dearly, indeed no one could see him, & listen to him, as we do here, & not love, esteem & respect him. The world are unacquainted with half his excellence & estimable qualities of heart & head – Did I tell you that I had received charming letters from his wife & sisters (…)

I am sorry, I have not received the memoirs of Lafayette. I have nor heard for a long time from my dear Brother George.

Eleanor Parke Custis Lewis, wrote on August 4, 1851 to Elizabeth Bordley Gibson:

I regret your disappointment in regard to your letter from Miss Below [?] but I have sustained a greater loss – Oscar Lafayette wrote to me immediately after the death of his father, my faithful friend & brother, giving me all the particulay of that event.

There are several letters from Nelly, Eliza and Georges in the special collections at the George Washington Presidential Library at Mount Vernon. Most of them are from the time of La Fayette’s American Tour of 1824/25 or from later years. But there are also two farewell letters from the time that Georges and his mentor Felix Frestel left the Washingtons. While Eleanor’s letters in particular are mostly digitalized, Georges letters are only published with short summaries or keywords. I therefor mainly focused on Eleanor Parke Custis Lewis’ descriptions of her and Georges’ relationship but all that we have suggests that Georges felt the same.
While he was not a friend Georges made in America, we should not forget Felix Frestel, the man who accompanied Georges to America. Employed as Georges’ tutor prior to the French Revolution, the young man soon surpassed himself in the fulfillment of his duties. What he did for Georges, and indeed the whole family, carried a great personal risk. Once in America, he was Georges’ father, and mother, teacher, mentor, advocate, protector and friend. Georges and his family never forgot what Frestel had done, and the two families remained very close. Georges would later refer to Frestels younger son in a letter to Monsieur Guittére dated April 12, 1832:
(…) a young friend of mine, whom I love as I would love a younger brother.
Archives départementales de Sein-et-Marne - La Fayette, une figure politique et agricole (05/16/2022).
Washington commented in a letter to La Fayette from October 8, 1797:
Tumblr media
Mr Frestal has been a true Mentor to George. No Parent could have been more attentive to a favourite Son; and he richly merits all that can be said of his virtues—of his good sense—and of his prudence. Both your son and him carry with them the vows, and regrets of this family, and of all who know them.

I hope that helped and I hope you have/had a lovely day!
P.S.: You mentioned that you find it hard to come across information about Georges’ stay in America. A week or so ago I had an ask about some general resources concerning Georges – maybe that was you or maybe you have seen it. If not, you might find this post useful. :-)
