A shortcut!#Now imagine for a sec trying to get through a parkcore + miros bird gauntlet with a corpse and a worm within 5 cycles #before the scav ran out of karma and you were stuck inside forever. Yeah #Besides that tho I've been messing around and been very tenderly modding the game.#Turns out you can have a bit of fun with most sprites without too much effort by simply cloning the MSC mod in your files #Then changing the copy's mod info so it doesn't clash and simply swapping images out for whatever you want #As long as you have the sprite name you can do this. You can also change region names and decals and music all sorts of stuff.#In short I've been brewing a custom mod for a friend to make her suffer as much as possible <3 #Thanks to a buddy on the rw server for showing me that trick btw lol. The best cesspool I've ever participated in #Oh before I forget- the symbol on CW's head is completely made up. They just looked so... Bald.#Tbh I wasn't expecting their personality to be so... bright? Most interpretations make them kinda solemn and gloomy #But nah this CW is what NSH should've been 100%. I like them. Not gonna spoil too much but their situation is somehow so... chill.#Still bad tho!#Other fun news! There's a scammer going around on discord that's basically like ''bad news I reported you for fraud''#And they're getting a lot of people. My buddy that owned my home server got hit and we lost everything. It's all OK tho nobody was hurt #I keep trying to ask them questions on my alts but they're ignoring me... I kinda wanna bait them into doing the scam with me #to see how far I get before they catch on 😜#Wasting a scammer's time is never a waste of time #Ah I had more to say but I reached my tag max. I don’t know who needs to hear this but IKEA’s one year return policy could save someone.

During the pandemic I had to go through some weird moving/living situation dilemma. I thought I would be fucked over with all the furniture I just bought and nothing to do with it.

When someone pointed out the one year return policy and I just.

Returned my whole apartment.

Got all my money back 100% after almost a year of using it all it was great.

finished “yellowface”. goddamn that was a ride… highly highly recommend if you like villain protagonists

#i didnt mention it as much but i liked all the stuff with the publishing industry in this and feeling like a fraud as a creative #except june is like. actually a fraud. but still #but it did resonate with me as someone whos recently realized he doesnt want to be a big name author and get too deep in the industry #like. the fear of never being known and dying without leaving an impact. bc books are a way to immortalize yourself #and the stress of wanting to be a big name even though you dont have the chops for it #and i still want to write. i love it. but i dont think i want to do it for a living yknow? and thats a heartwrenching thing to accept rn #bc its something i wanted for the longest time but i dont think my adhd will allow it for me anymore #ik none of this is the real point of the novel and obviously my experience is very different. bc im quitting before im even starting really #and im obviously not plagiarizing dead poc #but yeah i think junes a really well written villain protagonist bc her motivations are born from extreme insecurity from the industry #who cant see that poc have it even harder than her in the industry #because of tokenism and fetishism #because shes gotta be the ultimate victim #i really hope it hasnt come across like im complaining about the character or the book when i post passages #bc like yeah june fucking sucks ass. but shes SUPPOSED to suck ass. its the point. youre rooting for her downfall #and i think shes a great example of a villain protagonist like major props for kuang bc that shit is HARD to do #and a lot of the stuff it has to say about white women victimhood is great #because its the core of junes character and it defines EVERYTHING she does and really shows how insidious it all is #echoed voice

In other news after sitting on some very wild ideas I might actually produce that essay about tax fraud.

I have still not named the sheep #like I think I can finally articulate the chain of events that lead to Special Dyrwodian Sheep from an Ixmitl crossbreed #but uh that’s what they’re called which is…… Bad #in any case it’s actually all about intercontinental trade before Readceras was established #or more accurately we’re splitting the difference between sources and saying ‘when Readceras was the size of a pea’#because there are still two separate established dates for Readceras first being established as a colony and they’re….#well they’re a couple centuries apart and have very different implications re: international relations #but yeah to go back to my point a lot of…. mm large scale tax fraud #census level stuff not like paying your share in fake coin or bad grains #must look pretty different than in real life #because ‘prentending your whole town is insane/illiterate/etc’ has very different implications if the logical conclusion for the government #is ‘unauthorized animancy has killed everyone and now they’re undead’#like we watch the government pretend heritage hill is just fine in the game #while they also put a lot of time and effort into trying to figure out what happened/kill all the newly dead people #while said newly dead people are a solid chunk of the existing nobility #yes I do have elaborate thoughts about how that succession crisis worked out in the period between the end of the game and deadfire #…..that’s it’s own thing though that’s not tax fraud

#i found smth gross in the fridge that had no real reasonable excuse for being in the fridge #i didn't actually scream but the urge was definitely there #and its a good job bc my parents had just pulled up and were seconds from open the door #and there wasn't any 'hello' or anything so i didn't even hear them bc i was slamming cupboard doors n stuff #until mother dearest delight came in ranting at me about how she thought she was a victim of fraud #no apology for making me jump like that. no 'youre not gonna believe this'. not even took her coat off. not even her husband walking in yet #just straight into 'it wasn't fraud your brothers school changed their lunch funding system name'#she hadnt even told me that was going on!! i was straight away the person to rant at regardless of what i was doing #i could've been sobbing on the floor and i wouldn't even get a fucking apology for her storming in like that #she claims to care but its only fucking surface level and bare minimum #i fucking hate her
