On may 2nd we participated in the reenactment of Madrid's uprising against French occupation in 1808 at the Royal palace and also visited the Liria Palace 😊 All of Madrid was there!! it was crazy, I couldn't take pictures once the act started but we were on the news and had our pictures taken by the press 😵‍💫

17th century dress inspired by my beloved Versailles royal court fashion. It's mostly handsewn, made out of satin and trimmed with lace. It was the first serious historical costume i have ever made. And to be honest, my favourite one <3
Hair, makeup, model and photo by me <33

Some more pics from last week's reenactment gig, 1914 French cuirassier (Benj), dragoon (me on both pictures, and the red mane helmet) and hussard (last pic with the blue hat).
Cuirassier and dragoon are heavy cavalry and thus wear dark blue pea jackets, hussard is light cavalry and thus wears light blue (can be seen on the background in the last picture, a chasseur, which is light cavalry too).

Huge missed opportunity here, when Saul could have said that Robin’s power was “handy”.
And I in no way want to excuse Ohara’s local population of brats, but given the nature of Robin’s power it’s really easy to see how she was ostracized by her community. Her Devil Fruit power is straight-up body horror, and Robin’s aunt doesn’t seem to be the type who would tell the neighbors what a nice, intelligent, well-behaved child her niece is.
A later SBS also expands on this a little by getting into how Robin has always had trouble expressing herself, which is one of the reasons she’s often so quiet.
Tumblr media
I can only see this as being more pronounced as a kid, when she’s out there getting her doctorate at the same time her peers are still learning their times tables.
All this to say, while Robin was a sweet kid who definitely deserved better, she was also weird as hell, and even in the best circumstances I think it would have been hard for her to make friends

Company widw meeting is, as ever, a bust but the support team has been tearing c-suite to pieces in the questions section for the q & a portion and it is truly wonderful. literally there are no other questions except for those in reference to everything c-suite had purposefully ignored in the last 3 company wide meetings.
Hr turned off anon questions after the first one and it hasn't stopped them 😂 they're out for blood and it's wonderful

I don't have any drawings to post for 14 juillet but I did attend the Bastille Day civic ceremony at La Pérouse (in NSW, Australia)! Here's some photos + video of the canons firing:

My dress is almost complete, it only needs some little details (the embroidered sleeves, my hair properly styled) but I was making some tests today and it really looks good already. I'm so so happy!

More stuff added, this one is for you Lebel nerds. On the slight off chance the rounds are the wrong size, let me know, unfortunately I do not own a Lebel or Lebel cartridge to confirm, but based on SAAMI spec, they should be correct!

Reenactment time !
1914 French Dragoon, trumpet, Maréchal des logis (equivalent to Sergeant). In relaxed clothes 😅 it was too hot at this time to wear the pea jacket... but I have worn it and the helmet later ...👀😇
How do you like my moustache ? 😂
