''The final has been dubbed as a duel between you and Alexia Putellas, do you experience it as that?''

The Lyon captain fought the urge to roll her eyes at the question, despite having expected it. ''It is a final between Barcelona and Lyon, nothing more than that.'' She answered, diplomatically- the way they had rehearsed it.

''Lyon is the underdog coming into this final- FC Barcelona has been unbeatable so far. What do you need to do in order to beat them tomorrow?'' Another reporter asked, a pen ready in his hand to take notes.

There was a slight change in her expression as the question left his lips, the man succeeding in poking through her stoic expression. ''Well, we have never lost to Barcelona- I don't know if you remember 3 years ago or even last year,''

Lyon had comfortably beaten the Spanish club in 2019. In that Champions League Final, Y/N had become the first player to score a hattrick in a UWCL final. Their last meeting had been in 2021, in the pre-season, where Lyon had won 3-2, the Lyon captain again putting one in the net.

''We have won this competition many times. There was football before Barcelona, and it was being played by us.''

Her last sentence of the quote had struck a nerve with the Barça captain.

''She acts like she has already won the whole thing.'' Alexia remarked as she read a transcript of the press conference.

Patri and Mapi glanced at one another, a knowing look in their eyes. ''Technically, there is nothing wrong about what she said, Ale. How many times has she won this competition now? 6? 7?'' The defender said, not having a problem with the opposition's words.

''She's just pissed that everyone is talking about us now.'' She ignored Mapi, continuing berating her opponent.

The rivalry between the captains of the two top teams had been something made up by the media, seeking a female counterpart to the famed Ronaldo-Messi rivalry. Both Alexia and Y/N led Europe's premier clubs, won the Champions League, captained their national teams, and earned the Ballon d'Or. This fueled incessant comparisons.

Alexia and Y/N hadn't given it much thought at first. There were also many differences between them; Alexia is a midfielder, while Y/N is a striker. Despite their similar ages, their careers took diverse paths. Alexia remained in the Spanish league, while Y/N gained experience across various countries.

Over time, an unexpected shift occurred. They began caring about each other's achievements. Yet, they knew the comparison wasn't fair.

Despite being younger, Y/N dominated women's football for longer, winning the Champions League seven times – twice with Wolfsburg and five times with Lyon. In contrast, Alexia secured one with Barcelona. Neither had won anything major with their national teams, though she had come close with England a few times. Furthermore, on the accolades side of things, Y/N led with a repertoire that most players could only dream of.

For a long time, it hadn't bothered Alexia. She had watched in admiration as the younger player became the first recipient of the Ballon d'Or, a huge step in women's football. Y/N's advocacy for the sport also didn't escape the Spanish player.

However, her admiration had turned into envy.

The turning point came in the 2019 final against Lyon. She had observed the way the English striker had celebrated with her entire team- how the Lyon squad immediately ran to her once the whistle blew and how Y/N bathed in all the (rightly deserved) glory. Alexia wanted that for herself. For years, Y/N had been the nail in Barcelona's coffin, scoring the goals that made sure they couldn't continue in the competition- in the captain's opinion, the striker had made a joke of her team for years, even if she didn't meant to do that.

Their interactions over the years were limited to polite handshakes before or after matches. Occasional encounters outside the pitch were rare and brief, seldom extending beyond a few sentences.

Alexia's surprise peaked when Y/N congratulated her on winning the Ballon d'Or through both private and public Instagram messages. Despite her reservations about comparisons and rivalry, receiving praise from someone she admired as one of the best in the game left Alexia with a positive feeling.

''No, I think she's just not a fan of being referred to as an underdog.'' Patri defended the Lyon striker.

This explanation didn't sit well with Alexia, evident from the displeasure on her face. ''Whatever,'' she retorted, looking forward to settling matters on the field that Saturday.

Excitement, adrenaline, nerves, and tension permeated the tunnel of Juventus Stadium as Alexia, tightly gripping her pennant, stood at the front of her lined-up team, awaiting the opposing captain.

The sudden hush among the Barcelona team signaled the arrival of their counterpart. Turning around, Alexia frowned at her teammates' fascination with the approaching striker.

This is not the time to be fangirling, she thought to herself, as she saw most of her players' eyes following the striker's figure.

As the two top players faced each other, uncertainty lingered about whether they should exchange greetings. Y/N broke the silence, deciding to offer some acknowledgment. ''Hey, you alright?'' Her charming English accent filled the air.

''Yeah, and you?'' Alexia almost cringed at her own quick response, not giving her brain time to think.

''I‘ll see in about 90 minutes.'' The younger one grinned.

I'll wipe that smirk off your fucking face, Alexia said in her mind, not a fan of the confidence the striker was oozing.

Ten minutes later, the referee blew the whistle, signaling the start of the highly-anticipated final.

Lyon applied intense pressure right from the start, managing to create two goal-scoring opportunities within the first three minutes of the match.

However, the audience were offered their first initial glimpse of the rivalry in the 6th minute of the game.

Y/N positioned herself strategically, eyes fixed on her teammate readying a precise pass to her. The ball zipped across the pitch, and in a heartbeat, both Y/N and Alexia were locked onto winning it for themselves.

The striker, a master of timing, surged forward. Simultaneously, the midfielder closed in on the target. The collision was inevitable.

Both players fell with a thud, groaning at the contact with the ground. Despite the force of the clash, they both showed resilience as they wanted to use the momentum to their advantage.

They were momentarily entangled, fighting for control of the ball. It was a brief display of the rivalry that had brewed between them.

Y/N rose swiftly from the turf, eyes filled with determination. The collision had only fueled her competitive fire. With the ball firmly at her feet, she accelerated away from the mess, leaving Alexia behind.

The crowd erupted in gasps and cheers as Y/N, now in open space, scanned the field. Seizing the opportunity, she unleashed a powerful strike from well outside the box.

Time seemed to slow as the ball sailed towards the goal. Panos's desperate dive was in vain as the ball found the back of the net. The roar of the crowd echoed through the stadium, a symphony of cheers and applause for a goal that showcased the skills and spirit of the Lyon captain.

A fleeting scowl crossed Alexia's face, frustrated at the missed opportunity.

Y/N turned on her heels as the net rippled, ready to embrace her teammates who were rushing to her.

''Vamos!'' She roared, the Spanish word escaping her lips like a battle cry.

Yet, she found herself face-to-face not with the familiar sight of Lyon jerseys but with the intensity of Alexia's determined gaze.

Her expression froze for a quick second, confusion adorning her features. Y/N's eyes widened in realization, and for a brief instant, the two captains locked eyes in an unspoken exchange.

The celebration continued around them, teammates engulfing Y/N as they screamed with delight at their captain's prolific opener. The air was filled with jubilation, but within the chaos, the tension lingered between the two captains, adding an intriguing layer to the unfolding drama on the pitch.

The match unfolded further, Barcelona grabbing a few opportunities of their own, but not being clinical enough to score an equalizer. The Spanish squad remained calm, showing no signs of panic in their play, despite being behind.

Selma and Melvine played a great one-two with each other, and the young defender shot a beautiful cross towards the box. Anticipating the trajectory of the ball, Y/N skillfully pulled away from Leon, who undoubtedly had the impossible task of marking the striker.

The ball connected with Y/N's forehead, falling perfectly into the mesh. The scoreboard illuminated with Lyon 2, Barcelona 0. The narrative had shifted as the favorites stomped the ground in frustration, while the ''underdogs'' celebrated another goal from their captain.

The first half flew by. Y/N managed to assist Catarina to make it 3-0, but Alexia found the back of the net to get one back.

3-1.

The second half saw more scoring opportunities for Barcelona, but no one managed to finish the job.

After contact with Martens, Griedge cited experiencing a cramp and asked for treatment- a request that the Barcelona side was not having. Y/N, understanding the frustration of time-wasting, especially when behind in a match, stood aside.

However, the Lyon captain didn't appreciate the scolding she received from the opposition's coach. ''Tell your player to stop the comedy, what a shit job!'' Jonatan exclaimed to the English captain, who observed the scene from the sideline.

Y/N didn't budge, paying him no attention, knowing it was all tactics. She gave an unimpressed look toward the referee, who had been observing the one-sided interaction.

The official ran up to them, pulling a yellow card from her pocket and holding it in front of the manager. ''Step back, please. Don't talk to the opposition.'' she instructed him.

The match eventually resumed. In extra time, Paredes almost managed to pull off a header, but it went flying over the post.

In the last minute of the game, Y/N teamed up with Eug��nie to score a last-minute beauty, but the volley slammed against the post.

The piercing sound of the referee's whistle resonated through the stadium, marking the conclusion of the final. Lyon emerged triumphant for a record-extending 8th time.

Overwhelmed by her own emotions, Y/N fell to the ground as the whistle echoed in her ears. It didn't take too long for her teammates to rush up to her, colliding in a chaos of hugs, kisses, and jubilant shouts.

They had done it again, proving once more why all the records were tied to their name.

''Y/N, you're a fucking legend!'' Lindsey yelled in her ear, kissing her cheek multiple times.

As her teammates slowly got up from their celebratory cuddle with the ground, they formed a protective circle around their captain. Hands reached out to help her rise from the grass, and she found herself enveloped in a symphony of gratitude.

Eventually, she shook off her glorious daze, a wide grin etched on her face.

Y/N turned her attention to the defeated Barcelona players, spread out across the field with tears and disappointment staining their cheeks. She approached them, offering a helping hand to those still on the ground and sharing comforting words. Acknowledging the effort they had brought, she assured them that they gave her team a greater fight than the scoreline implied.

Before the Lyon squad embarked on their victory lap to greet the traveling supporters, Y/N's gaze fell on a heartbreaking scene. Across the field, the Spanish captain, Alexia, was cradled in a comforting embrace by a Barcelona staff member as tears streamed down her face.

Y/N hesitated, caught in a ''should I or shouldn't I'' moment with herself.

She chose to make an attempt to resolve whatever tension had built up between them.

Tears glistened on Alexia's cheeks, a testament to the intensity of the match and the dreams left unfulfilled. The Barcelona staff member, offering solace in the face of defeat, glanced up as Y/N approached, and let go of her.

''Alexia,'' Y/N greeted her softly, putting her arm around the Spaniard, ''thank you for the great battle.'' She hadn't prepared what to say, because what do you say against someone you feel like you are supposed to hate? What do you say against someone you've been constantly compared to for over a year?

To the striker's surprise, Alexia reciprocated, feeling an arm on her lower-back. ''Congratulations, you deserved the win. You played phenomenal.'' The midfielder told her, a forced yet genuine small smile making a way onto her face.

''Don't let this hurt you. You are literally one of the best players I have played against- your team is amazing. Use this, like in 2019.'' Y/N advised her, not particularly caring if the opposing player would take it or not.

''We will. I hope we can play many more finals. You make me- you make us grow.'' Alexia stuttered.

Y/N nodded. ''I hope so too. It's been fascinating to see the growth you guys have made these last years.''

The stadium now bore witness to a quieter exchange between the two captains. Almost every camera lens and watchful eye fixated on them.

As Y/N and Alexia exchanged words of mutual respect, their moment of shared understanding was abruptly disrupted by the Barcelona coach.

''Congratulations on the win, Y/N.'' He acknowledged briskly, his gaze quickly turning toward Alexia. His extended hand to her seemed more like a formality, but Y/N accepted it.

Almost forcibly, he placed a hand on Alexia's shoulder, a non-verbal cue that spoke volumes. ''Come on.'' He declared, his tone leaving little room for negotiation and they were off to wherever he needed her to be.

Alexia casted an immediate glance back at Y/N, a mix of emotions played across her face- gratitude for the moment, and frustration at its abrupt end. She hadn't responded to her words yet.

As the Spaniard was led away, Y/N's eyes lingered on the departing figure, a tinge of melancholy in her gaze.

The brief encounter had sparked a momentary connection- a bridge attempting to break through the perceived rivalry and show praise for a strong opponent. However, Jonatan's swift intervention acted like a pair of scissors, cutting through the threads that held that connection.

In Y/N's mind, Alexia had seemed appreciative of the opportunity to have a genuine conversation. She figured there must have been a good reason for her to have been pulled away like that, especially by the head coach.

The Barcelona captain had reacted with a hint of irritation when her coach suggested to the Lyon player to remove her arm from Alexia's shoulder. She tried asking Jonatan why he had coaxed her away, but she didn't receive a proper answer.

The whole thing had left a bitter taste in her mouth. The potential for a more extended, sincere exchange was cut short, leaving Alexia with lingering frustration. There was a desire to understand Y/N beyond the competition, but it was cut short.

She hoped her last glance had worked as a silent acknowledgment of what could have been.

The Price of a Dream: Bojan Cvjetićanin & Borut Pahor Talk Art, Pressure, and Purpose at SOF 2025

Our team at JokerOutSubs had the incredible opportunity to attend and cover the 34th Slovenian Advertising Festival (SOF), held on the 15th of May 2025. We were very lucky to witness a special conversation between Bojan Cvjetićanin and former President Borut Pahor during Mastercard’s ‘Podcast of Inspiration.’ So let’s dive straight into this unique experience and go on a journey behind the scenes of SOF 2025!

The event took place in the historic Magazin Grando, a former salt warehouse in Portorož, now transformed into a captivating venue that seamlessly blends industrial heritage with contemporary design. It may appear weathered from the outside, but inside it unveils a vast, modernised space featuring impressive 28-meter-long wooden beams, the longest of their kind in Slovenia.

This unique blend of rustic exterior and contemporary interior served as an ideal venue for the festival, which was a vibrant hub of creativity and innovation, bringing together industry leaders, creatives, and enthusiasts to explore the future of advertising and communication.

Upon arrival, it was immediately clear that a lot was happening inside and outside the venue. Each attendee received a goodie bag by Lidl (Translation: "One day you're young, the next day you already have your favourite grocery shop"), along with gifts from local brands.

Additionally, there were Poli stands offering free Poli-flavoured crisps and quick meals. Brand promoters were also circulating, promoting Spar’s newest “Choose It Your Way” collaboration with Joker Out—a slightly fizzy drink that comes in Mango and Grapefruit flavors. These low-calorie carbonated drinks contain added vitamins and deliver a very refreshing taste.

But of course, we weren’t just there for the snacks! Let’s jump straight into the main event: Bojan’s podcast with former president Mr. Borut Pahor, and everything Joker Out-related that we learned from it.

The panel began with Pahor introducing Bojan as “a successful and famous artist, actor, and musician who has always dreamed of being a rockstar, and is now living that dream.” The conversation explored the fine line between achieving one’s dreams and being overwhelmed by them.

Bojan reflected on how, as we grow and our dreams become reality, the initial spark and childhood joy are often replaced by ambition and pressure. He emphasised that losing creative joy and becoming consumed by thoughts of success are early warning signs that things may be going off course.

While many frontmen say they always knew they were destined for the stage, Bojan admitted that his vision as a child leaned more toward being a pop star. He reminisced about his childhood dream of singing "Život ide dalje, život brzo prolazi" by Plavi Orkestar.

He shared a defining moment that embodied his dreams: two Cvetličarna concerts in 2021, where the band felt pure euphoria. That experience, he said, was unique and hasn’t been replicated since.

Bojan also opened up about an anxiety attack he experienced during a 2023 performance in Ptuj, the result of burnout. Though he’s not completely healed, he’s in a much better place now, largely thanks to reconnecting with the childlike joy of doing what he loves.

He credited the band’s internal community as his anchor. These are the people he started dreaming with, and their shared experiences have shaped their bond. They spend more time together than with their families, forming a deeply connected support system.

Regarding a solo career, Bojan said he doesn’t see himself as a performer without the band. While side projects may emerge, his true sense of belonging is with Joker Out. When they perform together, he feels grounded and safe: “It’s all good, we’re here, and wherever we are together, that’s home.”

Pahor noted that many bands break under pressure, and Bojan acknowledged that band life can be one of the most complex ways to live. To have five voices, consistently creating together and each possessing his own important opinions or ideas, the process of manoeuvring between those ideas - accepting, processing and validating them- can be extremely challenging. When you're doing that with a group of people with whom you cohabit, and naturally share moments of exhaustion, hunger, thirst, annoyance and so on, different energies are bound to clash.

To manage this, Joker Out has developed a system: when someone feels inner turmoil, they speak up immediately. Open communication is their way of avoiding built-up frustrations, and it’s a dynamic they’ve cultivated for years.

On the topic of role models, Bojan expressed admiration for both ex-Yugoslav and Slovenian musicians, including Siddharta, Big Foot Mama, Dan D, Trkaj, Murat & Jose, and Magnifico. Many of these artists are now his friends, but he remains their enthusiastic fan, and often loves reminding them of this fact.

Pahor also discussed Bojan’s influence beyond music, describing him as both an artist and a businessman. Bojan attributed much of his success to his love of people and natural ability to connect. From a young age, he was curious about others, especially adults, and was always eager to understand and communicate with them.

His desire to understand people also led him to spend time in recording studios, watching producers and musicians work. He absorbed everything, made mental notes, and later applied those insights to his own craft.

The pair touched on Joker Out’s post-Eurovision success and the joy of seeing international audiences singing in Slovenian. For Bojan, that was a dream fulfilled, and everything that follows now is simply a bonus.

As the event also centered on business, advertising, and marketing, Pahor asked about the band's internal operations. Bojan highlighted that no team member joined through a typical hiring process; instead, they met organically at gigs, parties, and events. Their PR and promo team came together in the same way.

Bojan believes successful promotion stems from authenticity. When their content captures the joy and energy of the band’s life, people respond. Just like with their music, authenticity is key.

Pahor noted Bojan’s openness, contrasting it with the mystery often associated with rockstars. Bojan admitted he sometimes wishes for a bit of that mystique, like Tomi Meglič, but ultimately, he’s always been an open book.

This was evident when Pahor asked him to imitate Goran Dragić and sing ‘Novi val’ a cappella - requests Bojan fulfilled with enthusiasm and ease.

The conversation also touched on the challenges of being constantly on the move. Bojan mentioned that the people he sees the least are those he’s closest to. He doesn’t see himself maintaining this pace into his mid-thirties. Ideally, he’d love a future with more routine: studio work during the week, concerts on weekends, and eventually, a family of his own.

While some musicians build financial empires, Bojan said that’s not realistic in Slovenia, nor is it his goal. He simply wants to reach a point where he no longer has to worry about the future financially.

As for what’s next, Bojan teased a big announcement: in 2026, Joker Out will celebrate their 10th anniversary with what they hope will be their biggest concert ever: an open-air, self-organised show in Ljubljana at a "known location."

That certainly narrows it down: our best guess is the Stožice stadium, with a concert capacity of 23,000. After previously filling the Stožice Arena (12,000), it seems that our Jokers are aiming even higher! An official announcement is yet to come, but one thing is certain: we can't wait!

Hello! I discovered your blog relatively recently so forgive me if you’ve already done this but would you consider compiling a list of all the times crossdressing has been done in bl? Whether as a plot-device, for comedy, for serious reasons, just all the times crossdressing as a trope has appeared.

In a similar vein if you wanted to explore it I’d also be interested in the breadth of trans rep in bl/queer shows and movies in Asian media and if that ever blends into the crossdressing (maybe also drag would be interesting to throw into the mix as well?). RTA, do you have a record of when exactly the first rumours about Harry and Meghan divorce/separation started? Or how? And what was being said at that time?

My Spidey senses have been tingling every since it was reported that Meghan shoped for a post divorce book deal. I wonder if Meghan herself is fanning those rumours. It serves the dual purpose of needling Harry as well as bringing back some interest in her. As cringe and embarrassing as she is, a lot of people are saying she is the one who seems to be working while Harry just wants to lounge by the poolside.

To be clear I don't think so, some people I've talked to say this as a joke. I think whatever money they have or have coming in is because of Harry and not because of her.

This is beginning to look a lot like a devaluation phase of Harry.

Divorce/separation rumors about the Sussexes have been around the wedding. In other words, very few people outside of the Sussex Squad thinks (or thought) they were together for the long haul. So divorce has always been swirling around them. Some serious, some not.

But if I had to say, I'd say the vibes around Sussex divorce rumors changed in late 2021/early 2022.

Late 2021 was right after the Sussexes finally launched their post-Megxit strategy for American success. First was the Time 100 cover (aka Hair Stylist Harry), then was the NYC visit (which included their first red carpet gala) which was all panned, criticized, and ridiculed.

And hot on the Sussexes' heels - also pushing them out of the spotlight in a very major way - was a glamorous royal red carpet at the James Bond premiere, followed quickly by William's his first Earthshot ceremony and an emergency hospitalization by The Queen (which scared everyone). It's probably one of the better "this or that" comparisons in the Cambridges vs Sussexes dynamic and the Sussexes definitely got a very losing stick.

Springtime 2022 is when tarot readers and astrologists began picking up on divorce for the Sussexes. It started in March 2022 and went through about September 2022. This time is one of those instances where many different readers across several different platforms (including some that I know aren't aware of each other) are "seeing" similar things, so I feel pretty comfortable saying that there was something in the universe at this time legitimately about a Sussex divorce.

Hindsight being 20/20, 2022 was a pretty big 'make or break' year for the Sussexes. They had their first "major" tour (The Hague Invictus Games), their first visit back to the UK (the secret Windsor visit and the Platinum Jubilee, and Netflix and Spotify were demanding content. So everything had to go well for them. But it didn't.

Bad News #1: The secret visit to Windsor. No one even knew they were there till Meghan leaked it herself, and then no one really cared.

Bad News #2: The Hague IG. Meghan stole all the media coverage with her couture fashion and the criticism was loud. Very loud.

Bad News #3: Netflix dropped Pearl, Meghan's girl power show for children. Aw, so sad.

Bad News #4: Platinum Jubilee. Worse than no one caring, the public booed them and the family publicly shunned them three times (no carriage or balcony at Trooping, seats in Siberia at the jubilee service, no one going to Lili's birthday party).

I think this is when Meghan decided she needed to ditch Harry because it wasn't going well for her. She "separated" her brand from Harry's the first time, doing an interview with Vogue, a second interview with The Cut, and releasing Archetypes. Harry wasn't in the picture anymore. So perhaps this when she shopped her divorce memoir.

(And we all know what happened next - the European tour rudely interrupted by The Queen's death, followed by 3 weeks trapped in London for royal mourning and the funeral. She may have decided to stay, thinking that Harry was going to get a few upgrades now that he was the son of The King.)

Anyway, just a theory and speculation.

So long story short to answer your question: actual/real divorce rumors started in 2022 but the speculation has been around since the engagement, basically.

(Also, I don't have the link anymore but in May 2022, there was a YouTube tarot reader who predicted a 2025 divorce for the Sussexes. We will find out this year if they were right.)

Missing Posts

He didn’t seem to prove  any of the narratives related to this circus they tried to push over public opinion. All he did was to play the dude, becoming discredited. And, after all that circus, he apparently, went back to the shell.

Someone here commented he deleted on IG the post he once did about a horse that appeared outside his home in the middle of the night. Someone else, noticed some time ago, he had deleted the post he wrote about Lucy.

Let’s not forget that he has a team taking care of his social media, that nothing is by accident or random and that he said his IG is fictional. These posts were intentionally deleted, if they really disappeared from the page. Lucy’s comment probably was excluded just for a buzz as a diversion.

But, when a second post is missing we start thinking. And, when you realize this started in the beginning of 2021, it rings the bell. I noticed differences between his IG and FB.

When someone here called attention to the missing horse post on IG, I asked: Why would he delete those specific posts? Has he excluded the post on his Facebook as well? Is he trying to send a message? What would it be?

Is he, slowly, creating another personal IG and FB, leaving the ones we know, to professional stuff only? Or he’s just deleting some personal posts for another buzz? So, I decided to take a look.

FB starts Oct 6th, 2016 if I’m not mistaken. And, I noticed the differences between his FB and IG starts in the beginning of 2021. Coincidence? Wasn't that when the news of the shit show came out? I didn’t see on FB the posts commented above, either. What I noticed is that some of the posts showing on his IG ARE NOT ON FB anymore.

I noticed others are missing from FB: the one posted right after the news he had got COVID in which he shows a computer piece photo; the one he is wearing a white rugby shirt and looking miserable as hell; the one he talks about Durrell challange with the lion hat saying he’s still with makeup on his eyes etc…

There are probably others. And, that may indicate the person dealing with FB is not dealing with IG and has no access to all the material released. Or just that he didn’t want to post those on FB. But, if FB is like a copy of his IG, why skip some posts?

This is probably a strategy. The fact different posts are missing in both  FB and IG rings the bell.  I suspect it is a (guilt trip) strategy to make you suppose Cavill is slowly disappearing from his social media. But, and that is more likely, it shows that what remains is job related, as he said his IG is fictional. Especially, if you consider these differences are noticed as of 2021.

So, this circus with Viscuso is, indeed, a PR. But, I’m not the kind with patience to scroll the entire thing. So, there are probably other posts on IG that are missing on FB. Why are there 2 Elain weeks? I'm not upset with celebrating more Elain! But I'm confused. Did the hosts lose the login info?

So the very first Elain Archeron week was hosted back in 2021, that torch was passed onto the current hosts who have been running the appreciation week since September of 2022. The current hosts were harassed by Eluciens and Gwynriels who were trying to claim their own Elain week in 2023 which they held in March or April (?) and it flopped, so they abandoned it. They have always been welcome to celebrate in our long running Elain week, but if they do, they typically only contribute to the Romance prompt.

When Elain week posted their rules this year (which have been exactly the same for the past 3 years), antis decided to use it as a chance to bash the event and create drama over… males. Thus elaingate was born by people who were never going to, nor had any intention of actually participating in Elain week to begin with.

Our current hosts are very familiar with harassment surrounding the week, unfortunately, and just held their boundaries. Antis didn’t like that the hosts didn’t give into their tantrums, so they took the more manipulative approach of playing victim, and acted as though they didn’t feel welcomed to participate because the week is hosted by Elriels. Despite the fact that Elriels were by far and large interacting with, liking, and sharing ALL of the content posted. (From what I saw anyway, I can’t speak for what may have been happening on Twitter and I apologize if any Eluciens were being unfairly attacked on that platform. From what I’ve heard it’s unhinged in those parts, so I avoid)

A lot of them pretended to be nice to our faces on IG, while coming onto Tumblr to whine and complain about how many Elriels were participating, any nods to Azriel in any form in any piece was criticized, they tried to start drama over an artist who theorized Elain having shapeshifting abilities and gave her wings, one of the captions on one of my own commissions was mocked and made fun of in the pro Elain tags, and many of us were blocked, unblocked, and reblocked- it was just bizarre tantrum throwing behavior and a poor show of trying to play the victim while simultaneously manufacturing all of the drama.

So now, someone has taken over the reins of the random one time elucien led elain week and has decided to host it again, I’m assuming they will be resuming in March of 2025. The sad thing though is that it isn’t being held because of actual love for Elain’s character, but because they want to be spiteful and ugly over not being the first ones to host and control the real Elain week. And that is what it really comes down to- pettiness, unfortunately.

Many of us who were voting on IG knew something felt off when AMAs posted that BTS picture (where Jimin got cut off) celebrating a past win, with an emphasis on RM's face. From the moment that went down, we all got a bad feeling that we were slowly seeing another Scammys situation where the scammy official acc AND scooter braun uploaded the same pic where Jimin was also cut off to only show OT6.

We know the drill, everytime scooter or Bongo are behind the scheme they upload or share Ot6 group photos intentionally excluding Jimin. They do it like clockwork. That award had scooter's dirty money all over it.

I feel a type of cynical pity for all the "armys" celebrating this win, thinking their 50K accs did something against the 370K+ accs on pjms side. When in reality it was MONEY that did the talking.

before the awarding took place i was lurking on twt and also saw some pjms talking about how this photo was like a premonition. seeing how everything is sus then and now, i don't blame them and anon for feeling the same. that photo may or may not mean anything, but, at the risk of sounding conspirational (😅), it's weird that of all of bts' photos in AMAs history, they chose this one and not another photo that has all the members in it. it could be that they did not find one that fits IG's new layout, yes, but you're telling me there's not a single photo of the entire group looking shocked when they were announced as winners? they have been attending AMAs since 2017 and began winning in 2018, and not one photo of them all in the frame was available? (that photo was also taken during bts' last appearance on AMAs in 2021, but the photos of the other winners weren't (at least halsey's).)

using that photo was a choice. but was it done with malice or not? we can't be sure. regardless, it indeed fueled the doubts and speculation that started due to RM's questionable nomination.

the data from jimin's fanbases and armys did not help either. like what anon has said, they show the massive difference of the number of accounts they have distributed, and the lead that we've always had in IG. we don't have the final tally of valid votes, but those numbers should warrant one to at least pause and think about the results.

one can draw conclusions about the validity of the results from all these, as well as from the overall results from other categories; the reactions of the media and critics, insiders, viewers, and fans; and from the politics (and people) behind this award. scooter (and bangpd) isn't known as a saint and a fair person in the industry, and knowing the things that he did in the past (particularly his and hybe's shady behaviour towards jimin), it's unsurprising if he indeed pulled some strings.

all these could be coincidental and yes, they do not make the theory 100% true, but they do not debunk it either. the recent AMAs could very well be like the grammys, especially if the questionable noms and results would be the recurring pattern from now on.

let me reiterate though that pointing out these things does not make us sore losers, or us just beating the dead horse. we've worked hard for this and we have numbers, among others, to back us up. we aren't so delusional to make accusations that has little to no claim. we can also admit that we most likely will never get to prove the theory (unless something happens in the future) and we have to accept that. maybe it's all water under the bridge, but we could also use all that's happened during and after AMAs as a learning experience and as a motivator to support jimin, especially now that more people are working against him.

Hi Maja.

First of all, your blog is one of the only ones I’ve always felt was sincere, on point, respectful, and not toxic. I’ve always had a good feeling about you and how you are kind despite all the toxicity on here.

That feeling has never wavered and there is a big part of me that wants you to be right and win against these ridiculous anons that seem to want to put you down.

An opinion (which I don’t claim to be fact, just some thoughts here): I see a lot of takes on here popping up from blogs that claim they have PR knowledge and claim to be experts and read and follow along the gossip, but I think nobody really knows and they can only hypothesize on what they think is the truth.

I think CE being married (by public knowledge and Wikipedia) was the main goal here. I’ve always sort of felt this, which is why I ultimately was not surprised after he did his SMA spread that he went public with Fish girl and then later on “got married.”

The reason I say this is because HW and society is very judgmental and superficial. Being single or unmarried at a certain age always raises questions whether or not it is valid to do so. I disagree with this sentiment but unfortunately the world is how it is. It happens to regular people, so why wouldn’t it apply to celebs? Especially the ones who have basically become a pop culture icon of being an eligible bachelor/desirable.

Let’s think about this. After 2019, CE was no longer under the marvel umbrella. He had to start defining his post marvel career, and then Covid hit. So many things derailed. He randomly got an IG in 2020 but people found out it had existed as an account since 2019. Perhaps it was always the plan or it was a plan hatched by his PR team to keep him in the public eye. He became relatable internet BF with a Prince Charming storyline of when will he find the one? It was almost overkill from 2020-2022.

Now it’s 2024 and he’s supposedly been with this woman since 2021. It shows longevity and then eventual commitment. He now wears a ring in public so they see him as “settled down.” That’s the image he is now portraying for the public who doesn’t dig or care to deeper in his life.

I don’t think it’s about rebranding to attract a younger audience - if so, his pr team would have realized that gen Z actually does not fare well to age gaps and the subject of grooming and etc always comes up for this hypersensitive on PC/wokeness generation. Then add on the racism and weird ass crap from her/her friends. Definitely not boding well for a generation that lives on the internet and knows how to deep dive. His PR team would have looked at how the public reacted to other relationships like this and I feel, if it was simply he was in love with her and it was real real, would have told him to keep it on the DL DL until it was absolutely certain they had walked down the aisle. At that point, there would be no turning back.

But they marketed this before that happened. They wanted to portray her as the one similar to how in movies, they want to portray a main character and love interest as meant to be even if the audience may or may not receive it that way. How many times do we hear “this movie tanked because the leads had no chemistry and the relationship they wanted us to believe was not believable?”

But ultimately, the endgoal of if CE and his wife are a good couple or not doesn’t really matter. They have achieved their goal of he is now settled down and no longer on the market. If you choose to continue to follow him, stay for his career and not his personal life. Meanwhile, her - well, they’ll keep trying to make her happen because her end of the deal was getting more visibility and breaking into the American market. That much has been clear.

But you can lead a horse to water, you can’t make it drink.

What she chooses to do with the opportunities given to her are left to be seen. Also, how the public and CE/her fanbases chooses to receive them are also left to be seen.

Will this marriage last forever? I have doubts. But I do think they considered many options and this is what they came up with. I also don’t believe CE’s actions show he is very happy with the arrangement, even less so than fish is. Because even from the subtle clues from photos and “videos” - body language does not lie.

To be fair to fish, I doubt she’s in love with him either. I think she’s getting more benefits from this because most of the negativity is being directed towards him, not her. His fans hating and harassing her are just a pinnacle of what he’s receiving from his own fanbase. Some people will disagree with me but he’s the one getting the P and G and disgusting comments and being called the worst person on earth because he married her. His own fans are turning on him and her fans can also blame him but victimize her. The general public doesn’t care too much but will say how he looks because he got with her. She remains “innocent” of any blame because at the end, she is young and he is older so he should know better. Do you see what I mean?

Meanwhile, her fans are just happy she’s getting attention and somebody to fund her poor attempts at becoming a fashion icon. She lacks in talent and work ethic but it’s an easy way for her to get engagement by being attached to him.

The day this ends and she no longer has his name will be interesting and that’s what I think his fans (remaining) are hoping for. They don’t want to reward laziness and clout chasing opportunist and I too support this. They want HIM to be better and find success and love himself more so he doesn’t continue to end up in these shitty situations. But again, he has to want that for himself. He has to want to deserve better so he can work on actually deserving of better.

I hope I didn’t offend anyone with this opinion. Just my thoughts and I support YOU. I hope things work out in the end in your favor because you are a great person and I selfishly want you to be right (haha). ❤️

I completely agree with everything that you wrote down. 

I remember seeing people criticize him for saying he wants to get married and have a family, yet he is still single and childless. As you said, it's stupid that people are being bullied and judged because they haven't already settled down, even if they wanted to. Finding a partner is hard, and finding a partner in his shoes is even harder. I obviously don't know whether he actually wants all of that, but saying he must not want all of that because he didn't do so is not right. A lot of people struggle with finding a good partner. 

I never agreed with people calling him by the P and G words. I guess these people either don't know what those words mean or are simply that mad as Chris that they feel the need to spread lies. He is not those things and never was. Yeah, 16 years is a lot, but she was a grownup when they allegedly met, and I think people exaggerate when they say she looks like a child. 

I think the reason most people are hateful towards him is because they are disappointed in him. I think most people had an idea about the person he is based on the information we had, and him being married to someone like her or even dating someone like her doesn't really fit into that. People aren't disappointed in her because most didn't even know who she was before Chris. We were just presented with her actual self, and we didn't have any expectations from her. But we had for him. 

I doubt either of them is in love with each other. Alba doesn't seem that happy or comfortable around him either. I think this is just business for both of them.

I still think he is a good man who made a terrible mistake. I just hope the best for him, to be honest, which I know is an unpopular opinion now because it seems like wanting the worst for him is what is trendy nowadays. Maybe I'm naive; maybe I'm just holding onto an image, but I don't think the last 20+ years were a lie. I hope he will prove me right.

Yes, this sounds stupid, but my god it’s been almost three years of an absolute rollercoaster of feelings and denials and tears and revelations…

and if you don’t mind, I’m gonna rant about it.

To start off, i wasn’t always a bkdk shipper.

I shipped izu*cha at first (not saying it’s a bad ship btw; it’s actually quite cute. im just afraid people’ll be mad if I accidentally invade their tag lol), primarily because I assumed that would be the ship that became canon.

But also, my veryyyyy leasttttt favorite character… was Bakugou Katsuki.

When I tell you that I would’ve loved nothing more than to somehow spawn into the bnha universe and punch that brat in the face— AGHHHHHHHHHH

Now this wasn’t all his fault: A) I watched the dub first lol, and B) he reminded me of someone that i was not in a place to stand up to at the time, and his constant anger, yelling, and harsh treatment of Izuku—who i began to relate to—made me hateeee him.

There was a time when I literally said “if he died, I wouldn’t miss him.” <- this was later proven false lol

So, I was watching the anime dub with an absolute animosity for our resident deuteragonist, but on top of that…

I was watching it with a friend with a crunchyroll account who lived in another state that I was visiting and staying with for two weeks, so by the time i had to go back home, we’d only gotten up to the part where All Might was getting Inko’s permission to let Izuku stay at the UA dorms.

Anddddddd in my drive to consume more bnha once I got home, i somehow stumbled across an Instagram account that posted bnha sub episodes divided into parts,

but they only had season four and onwards.

Sooooo I never saw the second half of season three… more importantly,

I NEVER SAW DEKU VS KACCHAN 2!!!!!

(I will say that I had seen a couple photos/edits/etc, but I never knew what had been said, or why they fought)

At this point in time, I’d been exposed to a lot of the fandom. My fyp on both IG and Pinterest were filled to the brim with all things bnha (because this is what happens when one has a hyperfixation), so I saw a lot of stuff.

Especially fanart.

This is where I started learning about the different ships.

I saw a lot of the side character ships and thought they were adorable (kamijirou, todomomo, even kiribaku), but then I saw some with Izuku.

Izu*cha was a given for me. I didn’t think there was a single person that didn’t ship it. But then I started seeing fanart of ships like tododeku, shindeku, and bakudeku.

And my first reaction to finding out that people shipped my beautiful baby sunshine boi with the person who bullied him for years?????

HELLLLLLLLLLL NO

So with my (unknowingly) limited knowledge of their relationship, i was very much an anti (i never spoke out or anything, i just reallyyyy didn’t like the ship lol)

(And then, you know, I started to see all the bkdk hate online and kinda went “okay not touching that”)

But that began to change…

…after I saw a manga leak for the first time.

I was scrolling thru my feed and all of a sudden. BOOM!

I was like 😧

IS THAT IZUKU?????

And i looked in the comments and yes it was.

I checked out the page and found that they had an entire account of manga leaks and was so happy.

I quickly began to read from the very bottom of that account, and it started from right about where Izuku first began his vigilante arc (i had no idea how much was in between then and where I left off on the anime, but I was willing to read it lol)

And so I waited diligently for the leaks every week (a practice I have continued to uphold lol), until one day, i came across an untranslated series of panels from the latest chapter. I looked at it and it was of Katsuki and Izuku, facing each other in the rain (you know the one). I knew the leaks would be coming a day later, but I wanted to look through them anyways, so I did.

I didn’t understand a word they said, but the pictures and imagery of them as kids then middle schoolers then where they were now seemed so touching…

And then I came across a pair of kanji that I recognized.

I was like “wait WHAT???”

I zoomed in and went “that— isn’t that—? That’s part of Midoriya’s name, right???”

And then I was like “wait a second… omg that’s Izuku, isn’t it. That’s the freaking kanji for Izuku.”

And it was!!!!!

So inside I’m having a mini freakout cuz—

Bakugou just called him IZUKU

Fast forward to the next day, and I looked at the translated version, and found out that not only did he call him Izuku,

He

Freaking

APOLOGIZED

And I was like “huhhhhhhh”

What happened between now and the most recent anime episodes for this to occur???? For Bakugou to do a complete 180 and apologize????????

Well, I finally got my answers…

…when I started reading the manga.

I started from the beginning, cuz I wanted to see Horikoshi’s art style and the extra drawings and all the other stuff…

And when I tell you that Katsuki became a whole new character to me—

First, I read everything about early-on Bakugou— without hearing him yell in his dub voice—and realized “oh wow he really is just a kid with issues and a worldview that he’s now having to change.”

Then, I finally read what happened in that space between moving into the dorms and the beginning of season four (most importantly, DvK2).

Cried.

Then, oh then, I got up to where season five ended and the rest of the manga began.

. . .

Funny thing: back when I read the leaks to ch322, I remember thinking to myself, “huh. what did Bakugou mean by Shigaraki making swiss cheese outta him?”

THE WAY I GASPED

AND THEN CRIED

OH MY FREAKING GOD

That was the moment where i truly ceased to hate Katsuki cuz holy character development batman

Then, of course, we see them in recovery

And then the vigilante arc and apology scene *sobs*

And then I was caught up.

(Btw I finished the entire manga up ‘til ch334 in just over a week. I read for nine days straight. During the school year. My emotions were all over the place goodness gracious I could barely concentrate.)

So that’s how I went from being a Bakugou hater to going “you know what he’s a complex character and he’s slowly becoming a better person” and realizing that he was now one of my fav characters and therefore cursed to die but I’ll talk about that later

Was I now a bakudeku shipper?

Hah nope.

I began my dive into the true essence of any fandom: fanfiction.

Over the course of winter break, I had started off with fics that had no romantic pairing (I just wanted to see my boi Izuku), but then somehow stumbled across Mastermind: Strategist for Hire and then read the entirety of the For Want of a Nail series (shoutout to Clouds btw ❤️) cuz I was like “ok whew no bkdk fics” which was my mindset at the time.

But somehow (I can’t even remember how I found it) I came across a bkdk fic. It was called For Want of Izuku’s Toe Joint by Talavin (okay now that I think about it there’s probably a simple explanation lol).

I don’t quite know what compelled me to start reading it, but I did.

And I really liked it.

But not in the “I’ve been converted” kinda way.

It was like an “I shouldn’t be enjoying this why am I enjoying this?” kinda feeling. Like my head says no but my heart says yeah.

A really really really really guilty pleasure.

So, from that day on, whenever I came across any form of bkdk media, I would simultaneously feel discomfort and yet an odd sense of satisfaction.

Me: eww

Also me: *stares at it for like five minutes straight*

Me: who even likes this?

Also me: *saves pin to my mha board*

Me: not my ship

Bit of a timeskip, but nothing of note really happened in those last six months so here we go.

We’ve gotten to the point in the manga where the final arc is underway and Bakugou is about to KICK SOME BUTT

He’s revealed his Panser Strafe support item and I’m gushing about it to my friend (she kinda fell out of the fandom but still tolerated my rants bless her)

Oh, side note: it was then that I also expressed my concern for Bakugou’s “alive” status

Sometimes I hate being right 🥲

But the good thing that came from this was that my positive view of Katsuki only grew after seeing his utter faith in Izuku (and his thoughts being on him in his final moments???? 🥺🥺🥺)

And it was at this point in time where I could admit to myself “you know what? i see it. i see the appeal. i wouldn’t mind this actually becoming canon.”

Everything was downhill from here folks.

In the best possible way.

I came across some analyses of what was going on with togachako, and consequently led me to some bakudeku analyses. I read them and my goodness they made so much sense.

Like not even just personality-wise!! Those metas brought in actual things Horikoshi said about wanting to go outside the norms of shounen (and about not liking the Naruto ending 💀), and compared bkdk to tropes in different works of fiction, and even discussed how bkdk made sense narratively. They properly convinced me of the ship.

And then for good measure, I reread the manga in its entirety thru a bkdk filter, and lo and behold things took on new meanings and my eyes were opened.

I totally and irrevocably shipped them! And I actually thought they had a chance at being canon!!

(And then I binged so much bkdk fanfiction omg you wouldn’t BELIEVE like I read the ones with the highest kudos first and then just picked the biggest collections I could find and read down the line

It was like being on drugs like each fic gave me more dopamine than the last I was so happy oh my god)

And then finally, the day came.

The answer to “is bakugou alive yet?” became a yes.

We screamed. We cried. We jumped for joy. We told bakugou antis to suck it. But most of all, our bkdk hearts soared to see our boys make eye contact with each other for the first time in over a year 🥹

And from that moment on, I truly began to believe that bkdk would indeed become canon.

In an earlier post, I allowed myself what I thought was a fair conclusion, that without conspiracy theories, or at least without the One and Only Most Important Theory (that Sam and Caitríona are a couple), there would be no us and no fandom. I stand by that thesis. We are built on conspiracy theories. Now - with Sam's IG story of the Elf on the Shelf holding the little elf in her arms in mind - I want to talk about the problem of hidden messages sent by Sam and Caitríona.

Are hidden messages our invention? Is it a product of our sick, degenerate minds? Or is there something to it? Are hidden messages a fact, and not the delusion of a group of, excusez-moi, paranoid, stupid women?

Some of the comments under my note about Mama Elf and her Baby Elf have asked not to associate any hidden message with it.

But why not look for that hidden content? After three years in fandom, I look for hidden content everywhere. Everywhere. Sadly, I have to admit that there is less and less of it as time goes on.

Just one example. A Blast from the Past. You'd have to be a really delusional, stupid woman not to see the subliminal messages Caitríona sent us last year. Yes, us, literally us, the delusional female fandom on Tumblr, because what other fan would associate that unique, rare beauty graphic standing in the background during Caitriona's IG live with Sam in May 2022?

The same unframed graphic appeared in the background of another interview that Sam also participated in (I don't think that interview was ever released).

July 14 IG post: the GazettE LIVE TOUR2022 -MASS- / PHASE 01-COUNT “DECEM” Thank you so much for coming to Nakano Sun Plaza Hall!

As we embarked on this tour after such a long time, I’m sure there were a lot of concerns on your end. As a band, we were eager to share time with you all as soon as possible, but we also felt uncertain about how to take responsibility if a “what if” situation arose.

Thanks to everyone’s unwavering support and care for the band, no “what if” scenarios happened at all. Now that we’ve successfully completed PHASE 01, I feel a sense of relief.

This tour was also a message to society, showing that with proper measures, live shows can be safe and we can gradually regain our daily lives. But this wasn’t something the band could achieve alone—it couldn’t have happened without everyone’s cooperation.

As I looked out at the audience in each venue, I kept thinking about these things. Everyone who came to the shows looked so cool and gave it their all to enjoy themselves, and I felt proud seeing that. My people are this amazing—I can’t help but feel proud!

The next stage we announced today isn’t just an inevitable follow-up to PHASE 01—it’s not a given that PHASE 02 would happen. It’s thanks to everyone’s support that we can create a day where precious companions, including those who had to sit this one out, can gather again. That makes me genuinely happy.

There’ll be a small gap before we meet again, but we’ll come back even stronger. If you’re up for it, I hope you’ll come see us again. Honestly, I’d love that—but more importantly, if you don’t show up, the other four might sulk!

So, for the time being, we might still cause you some extra trouble and worry, but I’m genuinely looking forward to the day we can go wild together again.

Ruki QT: "Personally, today was a day where I gave it my all, but there are still plenty of times when I feel frustrated like this. It’s proof of how serious we are about each and every live show.
