Amas was a flop this year. Nobody showed up and a lot of the awards had to be announced online. Award shows (especially fan voted ones) are only important if people care about them and all big artists ignoring the amas makes it no longer relevant. Add to that the fact that this is the k-pop category we're talking about so it was never one of the important categories to begin with. The only real relevancy of this award is what it means for fans. And what it means is that Jimin fans are even more dedicated to him and that armys will feel like they've done enough for RM so he won't even have their pity parties anymore. When he releases another song and it once again flops his fans will complain that armys don't care about him and armys will respond by saying "we gave him an amas" and then they will continue to not give a shit about him and not even feel guilty about it anymore. And next time people won't be able to guilt trip fans into ignoring Jimin by pulling the "we've done enough for him". I was also dreading the reaction if Jimin won so at least now no one has an excuse to be angry at him.

it's not a defeat, it's just a loss of a physical trophy and title. they cannot victimize RM anymore, but that won't stop them from making up another excuse and pity party against jimin, which is why we need to stand up and become stronger.

Many of us who were voting on IG knew something felt off when AMAs posted that BTS picture (where Jimin got cut off) celebrating a past win, with an emphasis on RM's face. From the moment that went down, we all got a bad feeling that we were slowly seeing another Scammys situation where the scammy official acc AND scooter braun uploaded the same pic where Jimin was also cut off to only show OT6.

We know the drill, everytime scooter or Bongo are behind the scheme they upload or share Ot6 group photos intentionally excluding Jimin. They do it like clockwork. That award had scooter's dirty money all over it.

I feel a type of cynical pity for all the "armys" celebrating this win, thinking their 50K accs did something against the 370K+ accs on pjms side. When in reality it was MONEY that did the talking.

before the awarding took place i was lurking on twt and also saw some pjms talking about how this photo was like a premonition. seeing how everything is sus then and now, i don't blame them and anon for feeling the same. that photo may or may not mean anything, but, at the risk of sounding conspirational (😅), it's weird that of all of bts' photos in AMAs history, they chose this one and not another photo that has all the members in it. it could be that they did not find one that fits IG's new layout, yes, but you're telling me there's not a single photo of the entire group looking shocked when they were announced as winners? they have been attending AMAs since 2017 and began winning in 2018, and not one photo of them all in the frame was available? (that photo was also taken during bts' last appearance on AMAs in 2021, but the photos of the other winners weren't (at least halsey's).)

using that photo was a choice. but was it done with malice or not? we can't be sure. regardless, it indeed fueled the doubts and speculation that started due to RM's questionable nomination.

the data from jimin's fanbases and armys did not help either. like what anon has said, they show the massive difference of the number of accounts they have distributed, and the lead that we've always had in IG. we don't have the final tally of valid votes, but those numbers should warrant one to at least pause and think about the results.

one can draw conclusions about the validity of the results from all these, as well as from the overall results from other categories; the reactions of the media and critics, insiders, viewers, and fans; and from the politics (and people) behind this award. scooter (and bangpd) isn't known as a saint and a fair person in the industry, and knowing the things that he did in the past (particularly his and hybe's shady behaviour towards jimin), it's unsurprising if he indeed pulled some strings.

all these could be coincidental and yes, they do not make the theory 100% true, but they do not debunk it either. the recent AMAs could very well be like the grammys, especially if the questionable noms and results would be the recurring pattern from now on.

let me reiterate though that pointing out these things does not make us sore losers, or us just beating the dead horse. we've worked hard for this and we have numbers, among others, to back us up. we aren't so delusional to make accusations that has little to no claim. we can also admit that we most likely will never get to prove the theory (unless something happens in the future) and we have to accept that. maybe it's all water under the bridge, but we could also use all that's happened during and after AMAs as a learning experience and as a motivator to support jimin, especially now that more people are working against him.

Tbf, aren't there some accounts of Hades being Melinoe's father instead of Zeus?

IIRC, Melinoe is commonly cited/attributed to being the "daughter of Hades" simply through the affiliation of Persephone who is both her mother and the wife of Hades. However, in the original accounts (I believe Melinoe originally stems from the Orphic Hymns) Zeus impersonated Hades with the intent of bedding Persephone thus leading to the birth of Melinoe.

TBH I think most of the accounts of Melinoe being Hades' legitimate blood-related child comes more from the attempts to modernize the story over the years (or at least the natural attribution of Hades being her father figure) and remove the very blatant incest between Persephone and Zeus. Because if there's anything worse than getting married off to your uncle, it's getting knocked by your dad 😬

Kingdom Hearts Q&A

First of all, THE PAST FEW DAYS HAVE BEEN HELLISH, EMOTIONALLY. I NEED SOMETHING TO HELP ME GET ME BRAIN OFF MATTERS. Also, as I recently stated on this post, I've had Kingdom Hearts on my brain a lot lately. Despite being one of my two favorite game franchises of all time (and having quite the number of kinkable anime bois, and some Disney options, to boo), I haven't really done much with the series in my work, and I very rarely get Asked about it, likely as a result. SO...while I'm between things today (and possibly for the next couple days), I want to try and rectify it. Starting now, I'll be doing a special Q&A/Ask Me Anything event focusing specifically on Kingdom Hearts. You can ask me questions - both kink-related and non-kink related - about the games, the characters, etc. If you have story suggestions or scenarios in mind you want to share, you can send those along, too! I think Assad also has such a fine-boned face, he's got a face like Jacob where it seems to go with a very slender body. Whereas Sam has delicate elements to his features but also has that insane jawline which just makes him seem bigger (I saw an old review of iwtv recently that described him has a "gorgeous Australian with a 7-foot chin")

Yeah, definitely. Assad's got such big eyes too which I think as a trait is often associated with softer / more delicate features overall.

Kinda weird ask incoming: Are Bill's substance abuse issues in your characterization based on anything canon or an Alex Hirsch interview or something or is it just "he obviously would abuse substances (more) if this wasn't a disney show so I'm just filling in the blanks"

1/3 actual canon & context clues, 1/3 reading five feet deep into one foot deep canon material, 1/3 "he totally would if this wasn't Disney."

To my knowledge there's no interviews confirming that he's heavy on the substance ABUSE (rather than just substance use), but to my recollection I'm pretty sure he's got the most allusions to consuming something alcohol/drug-adjacent of all the characters in the show. Outside of Bill we've got:

Stan ordering "expired apple juice"

since we're including "they probably would have done this if not for Disney," you could make the argument that Stan drinking Pitt cola was probably supposed to be beer cans.

WITH Bill, we've got:

In the Bill Reddit AMA he mentions salting his margarita glass with Time Baby's molecules. (and for the longest time I'm pretty sure this was the only explicit reference to an alcoholic beverage in a Gravity Falls-adjacent media; but Reddit is a godless land where S&P cannot tread, so I'm not gonna put too much weight on that. Still worth mentioning tho.)

he's got Time Punch at his Fearamid Party. Considering the "time" in the name, it could be related to Cosmic Sand (maybe you mix sand to make the punch?) which would mean they're drinking HARD.

(if Cosmic Sand IS related to Time Punch, now that we know Jheselbraum was in Bill's gang, there's a high chance she picked up drinking it while in the Henchmaniacs, so that's another thing we can now tie back to Bill's influence.)

He's drinking something while trying to interrogate Ford, an activity you'd probably want to be clear headed for, meaning either he drinks so hard so regularly that he DOES still have a clear head or else he's so accustomed to going "this is stressful, I need a drink to unwind" that he just does it even though it puts him at a disadvantage.

with the addition of TBOB, we now have: the silly straw page, where he's drinking a cocktail while also sitting in an enormous cocktail. Bill gushes about silly straws as one of his favorite things; and we know that stems from childhood, but NOW he paints an association between silly straws, drinks, and an overall margaritaville vibe

Bill mentions that the shaman introduced him to a local strain of hallucinogenic moss

Bill brings boxed wine to the Puritan girls' night.

Bill gets Ford wasted at karaoke night (and I have no doubt Bill was just as sloshed)—and if he knows how to make a drink that'll get you drunk in your sleep, he's got some serious mixology chops

That's so big it gets two bullet points. Nowhere else in all of Gravity Falls is there such an extensive, explicit, or extreme example of unhealthy substance abuse—barring the Smile Dip incident, but like, Mabel didn't know that was gonna happen and immediately swore off Smile Dip.

Three bullet points. He noclipped a guy into the ceiling. he got so drunk he forgot he killed his mom. He was arrested for "indecent exposure." Bill you good???

So most of the examples of drinking/hallucinogenics we get from the rest of the show are like, casual drinking or else children doing stupid shit. ONE incident of depressed drinking and one alcoholic side character.

But Bill drinks when he's partying, drinks when he's depressed, drinks when he's relaxing, drinks when he's stressed, drinks socially, drinks alone, drinks when he's helping a friend have fun, and thinks about drinking when he contemplates his worst enemies.

Okay.

Now half of these are from TBOB, so obviously they didn't factor into my decision to portray him as inclined to substance abuse over a year ago; but like... I'd say I interpreted the info we had on hand correctly, yeah?

Beyond that, it's a headcanon built up on the fact that he's got a lot of traits that lend themselves toward substance abuse.

An EXTREME "maximum fun NOW, consequences later NEVER" attitude. There seems to be no limits to how far he'll go in the name of chaos, fun, & hedonism, no matter who he hurts, no matter if he hurts himself. He's got that combination of reckless + irresponsible + shortsighted + passively self-destructive.

BIG on partying, which generally means drinks are involved and definitely seems to be the case here based on the time punch. "A party that never ends with a host that never dies"??

"says he's happy, he's a liar." When an emotionally stunted depressed person is in denial about being depressed and trying to convince everyone they're fine, what's a common coping mechanism? Self-medication!

he likes hurting himself. consuming substances in ways that are harmful to him is recreation to him. Yes I am talking about the soda in the eyes, even if it was a loaner body that can't have felt pleasant. The way he seeks out extreme+strange sensations makes me think he'd jump at the chance to try some weird new substance that does some crazy new thing to your head.

loves to socialize, but like... doesn't seem to have close friends. It would make sense for him to be inclined to use drinks/drugs as a social lubricant, both for himself and for his "friends," to help them all overlook the fact that maybe they don't actually really enjoy each other.

he's got a very strained relationship with reality, by which I mean he's actively attempting to murder reality and replace it with fantasy. What's a common method people use to try to escape/avoid reality? Self-medication!! What's one variety of self-medication particularly good at letting you slide into a fantasy world? Hallucinogenics! Which thanks to TBOB we now know he takes!!!

if Bill's reaction to an emotionally close relationship catastrophically falling apart is going on a massive bender, and if Bill's got a long string of exes that fell apart so catastrophically that they're straight up blocking his number, he's denying he ever dated them or ever felt love, and he's claiming that love is merely a pupa for hate... I think there's probably been a lot of benders.

overall he's just... a stressed, cranky, high-strung control freak who wants to give off the image of being so chill and cool and popular and enviable and suuuper happy. I think it'd make sense for him to turn to chemical assistance to bridge the gap between who he really is and who he pretends to be.
