Suddenly thinking of the Guardians in a human mad max setting.
Peter grew up in a group of Rock Riders. Gamora and Nebula are the daughters/executioners of Thanos, the ruler of The Black Order with his children. Rocket used to be a slave/universal blood donor, Groot came from the Green Place, and Drax's family got killed while trying to escape.
Mantis is stuck in a cult where people see Ego as a God.
Peter wants to split from Yondu but can't out of self-preservation. He resents Yondu for taking him away from his mother but also knows that he survived this long thanks to him.
Gamora yearns to be out of Thanos' rule, tired of being used as his weapon to cut down the Wretches and anyone that opposes him. She finally finds the chance to escape when Thanos orders Ronan on a mission. Gamora escapes in a vehicle, but Nebula hitches a ride, ready to deliver punishment for her betrayal. Then things happen, and let's just say they have a truce.
Rocket fixes cars and makes weapons from parts from people he steals from. He travels with Groot and is always paranoid. The tattoo on his back marks him as a universal donor, and he'll raise hell before he lets anyone take his blood again.
Groot comes from the Green Place and carries around a bag of seeds. He travels with Rocket after saving him from death and tending to his injuries. He only says I, Am, and Groot in the specific order.
Drax's family was murderer by Ronan during a raid. Now Drax travels in search of his family's killer and hopefully reunites with his wife and daughter once he completes his revenge.
When not playing the role Ego sets her to play, Mantis reads forgotten books in the library. Eagerly escaping the world through stories and history. There's also an unfinished map hidden in a drawer, but she doesn't touch that. She has a strange knack in knowing how someone is feeling. Probably from handling her father's worshipers.
When word is out that Ego is looking for his child, various people come in hopes they'll be let into his kingdom. One by one, they do, but they never come back out.
Peter’s the key to finding a place with water and flourishing life. Upon finding it, Ego would be able to expand his power.
Meredith had half a map on her back, and Peter has the other half on his. Peter doesn't know the significance of the marking on his back, tho, only thinking it as one of the gifts his mother left behind.
Yondu knows what it's like to be a slave. He likes to forget, but he never does. But that's in the past, and he has his group of Riders to look after. But Ego requests to bring kids in from the west. Orphans specifically. In exchange for food and water. Who was Yondu to refuse? Especially when a father is desperately looking for his kid. His own parents sold him for resources.
So Yondu does the job, and he never sees the kids he delivers. One day, Ego lets him up as a reward. There was only Mantis and Ego. No kids. Ego doesn't give him a straight answer when he asks about them. Instead, Ego offers him another exchange for another child.
Yondu leaves, and he finds a kid curled next to a dying woman. He takes one look and knows the kid is Ego's son. While his green eyes are from his mother, the boy looks like the splitting image of his father.
The boy snarls as Yondu approaches his mother, and the woman uses her dying breath to utter a single plea.
"Take my hand, Peter."
The boy doesn't take her hand, and her hand falls. The boy screams as Yondu yanks him away. The boy thrashes and curses up a storm, impassive for the little tyke.
Then he feels a stab of pain and looks to see the boy stabbed his shoulder with a tiny knife.
He thinks about his parents, about Ego, about the children he never saw agai. About the woman and her plea.
Yondu grins and announces that instead of eating the boy as he planned, he's make a Road Rider out of Peter. Just he wait.

Chapter 2
Over the next couple of weeks, you moved everyone from the gym to the old Avengers tower in New York and a process was put in place to hire people both full and part-time to work for the new organization that Stark Industries had founded.  It was part of a network that was starting throughout the US and hoped to expand throughout the world that would deal with displaced children after half of life was erased.
The organization would work in three different ways.  First, it would find and take care of displaced children, acting as a halfway house for the kids affected by the incident.  There would be volunteers and paid employees whose job was to search homes and parks and go to schools to find kids that were essentially orphaned.
All children that ended up at the tower whether it be because they were found, brought in by concerned neighbors, or made their own way there, were processed and given a place to live, and people to care for them.  The foundation employed admin staff, carers, cleaners, cooks, security, and other miscellaneous staff to help run the facility.
The last stage was finding the children a home.  First and foremost that was trying to get them to their family.  Preferably that would mean a parent or guardian that had been away for some reason.  Thankfully due to the random nature of the incident, there weren’t a lot of children that had been orphaned completely, but there was still a large amount that required a parent to be tracked down.  If the parents both seemed to be in the group of vanished the next step would be seeking out extended family.  Failing that then it was adoption/foster care.  Staff were being recruited to help track these people down and then if the adoption stage was reached, then they would handle that too.
For now, though, it was just you and the volunteers you’d recruited from your neighborhood.  You’d been put in charge of taking care of the kids and double-checking the credentials of family members who came to claim their children.  Pepper had given you a salary and moved you into the tower full-time.  You were given an apartment, but at least for that first few weeks, you and all the children and volunteers that came with you would be sleeping in the large common room with the younger children until there were more staff and fewer kids so that a better sleeping arrangement could be reached.  The teens were sharing rooms on the same floor, but even they would need to be rearranged later.
It was at least a more comfortable arrangement and with the AI in the building, there were always eyes on the kids to make sure they weren’t being neglected or getting into trouble.
You hoped that if Steve and the remaining Avengers could find the person who had caused this, maybe this whole enterprise would be redundant.
By the time you were all settled and had a working schedule and process in place, and Pepper had organized hiring people and setting up the systems you’d both agreed on.  You still kept Jacob with you most of the time.  He slept in a crib beside your bed, and if he needed feeding or changing, you tried to be the one to do it.  You felt personally responsible for him.  You had known Callie had no family.  She’d grown up in the system and gotten out while she was still a teen.  Jacob’s father wasn’t even named on the birth certificate.  That baby wasn’t going home to anyone so you were going to give him the home he needed.  He was your family now.
Similarly, Ryan had latched on to you.  The teen was showing an emotional maturity beyond his years, but you could recognize that it came out of trauma.  You think he saw you as his savior in some ways and that by helping you he didn’t need to think about what had happened.  He was going to need therapy.  Everyone was.  If this halfway house became anywhere near-permanent, it would need to have a psychology department.  Possibly a school too.
A little after two weeks since you first met Steve Rogers, he showed up at the tower.  There was a rumor that Tony Stark had returned from space a week ago, but no one had confirmed it.  Everyone was still missing, so you assumed that even though Steve had shaved since you last saw him, and was dressed in something smart casual, he was not there to deliver good news.
It was dinner time - which you served in what was once the cafeteria for Avengers support staff - and while the other volunteers served up meals for the kids who could eat them, you were on baby duty.  You had a row of little ones and a matching row of jarred baby food to match their ages.  You’d worry about the ones that needed bottles after you were done, and then it would be bath time and after that maybe you’d be able to eat too.
He strolled in looking a little lost but when he spotted you, he made his way over.  “Did I come at a bad time?” he asked.
You shook your head and spooned a mouthful of pureed peas into a six-month-old’s mouth.  “No.  Generally the meals are pretty good.  It’s busy, but the kids seem to like choosing what they want to eat cafeteria-style.  I guess at home they would have just gotten what they were given.”
When the baby swallowed you put the spoon in the jar and rolled your chair to the next baby,  this time getting a spoonful of pumpkin and couscous.
“Can I help with that?” he asked.
You nodded and gestured to a free office chair that was sitting at the side of the room.  He went and got it, wheeling it over to you and the babies.  When he took a seat he picked up the baby food from the baby furthest down the line and spooned some food into his mouth.
“What brings you here tonight?” you asked as you moved down the line toward him.
“I guess I was feeling lost,” he said.  “And I owe you a visit.”
“Did you find that guy?” you asked.
“Yes,” he said.  “It didn’t go how we expected.  The stones he used to make this happen, he used them to destroy themselves so that we can’t undo it.  Thor… he was so angry …”  He stopped talking and with a pained expression he swiped his thumb over his throat.
“So that’s it then?” you asked.  “They’re gone for good?”
You didn’t want to break down.  Not here.  Not right now.  You swallowed thickly as you looked at him and he nodded.
One of the babies, an eight-month-old named Shiane, began to fuss.  You picked her up and bounced her in your lap.  “Hey, hey.  It’s okay.”
“I’m sorry,” Steve said.  “I wish I had better news.”
“You didn’t do this,” you assured him.  “And you tried to undo it.  There’s nothing more anyone could ask of you.”
He nodded and looked away at you, focusing much too hard on the infant he was feeding.
You reached over and rubbed his shoulder.  “So, we’re doing dinner now.  I mean… if that wasn’t obvious.  And then it’s bath time and they get stories and bed.  Do you want to stick around for a bit and hang out?  I usually eat when they’re all in bed.  You’re welcome to join me.”
He smiled a little and nodded.  “I’d like that.”
The bedtime routine was a long involved process, even with the eight people you officially had working with you, and the extra hand from Steve.  There were currently over fifty kids living at the tower.  Eight infants, thirteen toddlers, nineteen elementary school-aged kids, and eighteen teens under the age of seventeen.  The teens generally only needed mild supervision to get them fed, showered, and into their rooms to sleep, and only then needing gentle reminders or someone to talk to if they were having troubles at all.  Some of them, like Ryan, would help with the younger kids.  The elementary school-aged ones also didn’t need supervision showering, so it was just the reminder and stories and nighttime meltdowns you all needed to worry about.  Having FRIDAY helped with them too.  She alerted you if there was trouble and gently nudged them along if they were dawdling.
The toddlers and infants were another story.  While two of the eight adults stayed to supervise the older kids, the rest were on baby duty.  The toddlers were taken up to the penthouse and given a bath in the large spa on that floor, and two adults would supervise and wash hair and get them into nighttime diapers and pajamas.  The rest of you formed a baby bathing chain.  One bathing, one drying and dressing, and the other two giving bottles.
Tonight Steve helped with the toddlers and after everyone was in their pajamas, he read a story for the whole group while they had a snack of popcorn and fresh fruit.
It was another hour and a half before all the kids were either asleep in their beds in the common area or their rooms winding down.  You sat in the kitchenette with Steve and the three other full-time employees, the rest having had gone home for the night.  Each of you has a baby in your arms, feeding them a bottle as you juggled eating and watching the babies that were old enough to hold their own bottles while they fed in their bassinets.
“This is quite an ordeal, isn’t it?”  Steve said.  “Are there more kids than last time?”
You nodded.  “Back then it wasn’t even all the kids in Brooklyn.  Now we’ve got kids from most of the tristate area.  Luckily they tend not to stay with us long.  There’s usually another parent or a grandparent that comes to collect them.  I think we’ll end up taking in more from up and down the East Coast.  Hopefully, we can find them all someone, but it’s not always going to be easy.  When I was grabbing kids I was finding IDs for the lost parent and putting them in the pocket of the kid and then leaving a note for the family so they could find me.  Not everyone thought to do that.”
“We don’t even know where this little one came from.  Just a vague ‘up town’,” Jane - one of the other full-timers said as she giggled the baby in her arms.  “We’ve been calling her Hope.”
“And there are kids we know are on their own,” you said. “This little guy is Jacob.  He was my next-door neighbor’s son.  She was alone with him.  No partner.  No family.  Just her and J.J.”
Steve frowned.  “You are all doing amazing work.  If you’ll have me, I’d love to come and help more.”
“We’d love it,” one of the other women agreed quickly.
“I think Natasha would like to come out too.  I think… I think we all feel a little lost,” he said.
“Well you’re not alone in that,” you said.  “This thing was… huge.  We four - “ you gestured to the other women.  “All lost children.  I was brushing Alice’s hair when she turned to dust.”
“I was breastfeeding,” Shanna said and took a steadying breath.
“Mine was at daycare,” Jane added.  “I went to pick her up and…” she trailed off with a shrug.
“It took me a little while to figure out what had happened,” Malaya said.  “I thought Alon was hiding.”
“That happened to my friend,” Steve said.  “He was having lunch outside with his family and he turned around and they were gone.”
“It’s not fair,” Shanna sighed, as a tear escaped.  “This won’t help anything, and for it to be so random.  Why should our kids be taken and good people… and then murderers and rapists still just be out living their lives.”
Steve shook his head.  “I wish I could answer that.”
“Who did you lose?”  You asked Steve.
“A few people.  I feel like I’m destined to just keep losing people.  This isn’t the first time for me,” Steve explained as he put the sleeping baby in his arms back down into the bassinet.  “There was a girl… I mean, I guess she was a woman now.  But I felt responsible for her.  My best friend.  The uh…” he paused and swallowed.  “My partner.  Other friends.  It was senseless.”
“It’s going to take a long time to recover,” you agreed.  “If we ever do.”
Steve frowned and nodded.  “I should probably get going.  It’s a long drive back upstate.”
“Are you sure?  I bet your old room is there and it’s really late,” you said.
He nodded and shoved his hands in his pockets.  “I’ll come back out soon.  Thanks for letting me help out.”
“Anytime, Steve,” you said.  “I mean it.”

Your opinion on T'Chaka makes me think: how would you rank all MCU dads you can remember from worst to best? And if you want, why?
Oooooh man All The Dads. Okay uh. Let's see. From the Worst to The Best. A bit of a mix of both their personality/morality and their ability as dads. (This is a little bit of a silly reply, but I hope you enjoy it regardless.)
The Worst
Thanos: Well. Duh. Have you seen the films, reader? By far the worst to everyone! Booooo Thanos!
Ego: Killing his wives and children is pretty pretty awful but the children didn't suffer at least (iirc)??? Like he's not that high above Thanos, Thanos was just a lot more creative in his horribleness which gives him the edge in worst person ever.
Yondu: Sort of an honorary dad with Peter Quill? It was painted that way in Guardians 2. It was also made to seem that he was definitely emotionally harsh and not exactly a great dad figure. His only positive is that he prevented him from dying, but like, there seems to have been a ton of issues hinted at.
Odin: His idiocy created all the issues with Hela and Loki. A little bit better than Yondu though, I think. Hard to say, we don't have a lot of evidence on Yondu.
Howard: I think Howard and Odin are almost tied. I am giving Howard the edge in less sucky because his son only almost destroyed the world by complete accident while Odin's kids were definitely deliberate in their world conquering. I think in, "things that you either instigated or created that killed people" department Odin beats him too just because he's had more time and years to conquer and shed blood.
N'Jobu: Selling a rare metal to criminals is a bad business to be in as a dad. More 'sucky brother' than 'sucky dad' but getting involved in the criminal element as a parent is not a good idea. Put Eric in a sucky situation in the first place.
T'Chaka: He was more a sucky uncle than sucky dad, but I hold it against him more than Scott's prison time because he's the one who made Eric an orphan and just freaking left him. So yeah, good dad, bad uncle, questionable morality. I blame him and N'Jobu equally for what Eric became.
Drax: Did not get arrested and miss important developmental years, but after his kid died he went on a murderous rampage which isn't so good. Very close to being tied with Clint. Higher than the others because he didn't create major issues in kids.
Clint: Clearly loves kids. Somehow seems to balance work/life before retirement very well in the scene in Ultron is any indication. But got major points docked for also going on a murderous rampage after his family was dusted. Clint would be tied for first if Endgame didn’t exist.
Scott: Only reason he's below Tony is because he managed to get himself arrested through some of his kid's vital years. That's a big no-no. Clearly adores his kid, though, and his heart's in the right place. Did not go on murderous rampage, which gives him an edge over Clint.
Hank: Memory of Ant-Man movie details are super blurry, so take with grain of salt. Very obvious that he loves his daughter, he didn't abandon any nieces and nephews in the process, and didn't go to jail during formative years. What gives him negative points is both him and Janet taking the exact same types of dangerous missions together after they have a kid, not good "what if we both die" planning. It's fine if both parents have dangerous jobs, they just can't be on a job together/at the same time, it's really not fair to the kid IMO. And the missions were planned rather than random spontaneous attacks, like the Endgame fight was (also that was a “if we don’t win it’s the end of the world, so very different nature). That’s why he’s second.
Tony: Learned from all the mistakes his dad made. Thank goodness. Did not get himself arrested through vital developmental years. This puts him at the top of the dad chain as not being arrested or otherwise making deals with criminals is an important part of being a good role model. His snap is self defense and not a murderous rampage.
The Best
And that’s the list.
Ohhhh you know what dad I'd love to see sometime in the MCU? Miles Morales' dad, Jefferson Davis. That is The Best Dad, and if he’s as good as he was in the animated film, would probably beat Tony Stark for me. (He reminded me of my brother too in the cartoon film, and how my brother would be as a dad, which just makes me like him more.)

@ketchups-bitch prompted:
Peter with Morgan in general is all I need in life. Also Tony and Peter catching up. Make me cry with joy for once since endgame lmao
“That's super cool”, whispered Morgan in awe.
She was sitting in front of her bed with her head tilted up to look at Peter, who was danging from the ceiling. He grinned at her before shooting his webbing to grab Morgan's favorite stuffed toy and pulling it close from across the room. Morgan made an ew sound at the webbing on the pet before she started giggling at the funny face Peter made.
“Ouch. Ouch! Stop hitting me with a broom, Keener!”, yelped Peter.
Harley smirked where he stood in the doorway, poking Peter with a broom. “Why? It's how my mom used to get spiders off the ceiling. Shoo. Shoo, spider.”
“...Ha, ha, ha”, drawled Peter unimpressed and webbed Harley's face.
Harley huffed as he stumbled backward, trying to pull the webbing off his face. Morgan liked them. They were really silly and kept making fun of each other and making her laugh. For the past few days, she had been living with mommy and pa, because daddy was still in the super secret hospital, getting better. She didn't know why she had to go to a lake all dressed in black and look really sad, but everyone kept telling her that it was because her daddy wanted to spend all his time with her. And that? That was very okay with her. However, he was still getting better and she was bored and worried and Harley and Peter have been here to make her laugh.
“So, I guess it's my turn, right?”, asked Peter curiously.
They had a schedule, because daddy was still supposed to rest and everyone wanted to visit him and talk to him and his doctor – a man with a really funny goatee and an even funnier cape that could move – had chided them and told them 'two people at a time! No more!'. So now they had a schedule for who got to see her dad. But Morgan had special privileges to see him more often than the others! She tugged on Peter's sleeve and looked up at him with the sad Bambi eyes her dad had taught her to get everything from mommy and from pa.
“...And I guess I'll take the mini Stark with me”, grunted Peter amused.
He went down onto his knees so she could climb onto his back and cling onto his neck. She giggled delighted as he lifted her up. Harley watched them curiously and with a small grin.
“You know what route to take?”, asked Harley.
“Yes, I know how to get there without attracting press attention”, huffed Peter and rolled his eyes. “Seriously, you fuss worse than my aunt May.”
“Oh, I'm sorry Mister 'Hello, I'm Peter Parker!'. You suck with your secret identity. Who's to say you won't blow the mechanic's fake death too?”, accused Harley and narrowed his eyes. “Seriously, I know you admire him but the whole advertising your secret identity thing? Was not his best call.”
Peter huffed and ducked his head, muttering beneath his breath as he walked past Harley. Seriously, that kid fussed. And he acted all like he was Peter's senior, because he had known Tony longer than Peter. Sure, sure, he was brilliant and all that – but Peter didn't need a babysitter!
“Be careful anyway”, sighed Harley and rolled his eyes. “There's a looting downtown.”
Peter frowned at that and pulled Morgan a little closer. Okay maybe Harley's fussing wasn't entirely unreasonable. They had heard what had happened to the planet during the five years when everyone had been dusted, but right now was a far larger mess. Houses had been sold, apartments and things that had belonged to dusted people now belonged to others, jobs were gone to the survivors now, life partners had moved on from their losses, for other dusted people their surviving family had died of natural causes in the past five years, supposedly orphaned children had been adopted in those five years and had virtually no memories of their dusted parents. Life had gone on in those five years and many people had a problem adjusting to it. Many felt entitled to taking back what once belonged to them, no one had any idea what to do with the legal system – because being turned to dust by a crazy alien and then being brought back to life was kind of an unprecedented situation.
There were so many things that the Avengers hadn't thought of when reversing the snap. Peter himself had quite the hard time adjusting. Yes, Ned had been dusted too, but many of the people he had known hadn't... and were now suddenly college age. It was weird. His neighborhood had changed, Mister Stark – Mister Stark was older now and had a whole entire daughter.
“So... it must be cool having three parents, right?”, asked Peter lightly.
He knew that Pepper had been the surrogate for Tony, because Tony had really wanted a kid, but she could also not be absent from the life of her daughter. And since Pepper and Happy had gotten married – oh, oh Peter remembered that, he remembered how they had saved face back then when Peter had declined the offer to join the Avengers. Peter and May had been at the wedding.
“Uhu. When one says no, I just go to another who says yes”, chimed Morgan.
Peter laughed softly. He really liked the kid. He also liked the big brother role he had been taking in the past few days, ever since – ever since the undusting. Since Tony Stark had wielded his home-made Infinity Gauntlet, undid Thanos' snap and single-handedly saved the universe. Honestly, holy shit. Peter really was stanning the most amazing brilliant genius hero on the planet, huh.
The duo made their way to the secret hospital where Tony, Nebula and every other hurt Avenger and Guardian were currently recovering. They needed the privacy there, because the press was all over them, wanting to hear the story of what the Avengers had done to save the universe.
“Hello, Mister Stark!”, exclaimed Peter enthusiastically as he swung into the hospital room.
“Perfect timing! Neytiri just left with Rhodey for physical therapy!”, replied Tony with a smile. “And what did I tell you about calling me Tony, Petey?”
“That you should, is what daddy said”, stated Morgan.
“See. At least one of my kids listens to me”, huffed Tony, his smile growing.
Morgan let go of Peter's neck and eagerly crawled into Tony's arms for a tight hug while Peter sat down at the edge of the bed. Tony smoothed down Morgan's hair and kissed the top of her head.
“There's too many people who want to see me”, sighed Tony dramatically. “I haven't seen you in three days, Petey! What have you been up to? Tell me everything.”
“Uh, I mean, I was mainly with aunt May? And with Ned. Aunt May has a really hard time leaving me out of her sight since I returned. I... guess I get that”, laughed Peter awkwardly. “And I've been watching Morgan here together with Harley when Happy and Pepper have to work.”
“They're good babysitters, but not as good as auntie Nebu”, piped Morgan up.
“And considering the overall chaos with everyone who was dusted and legally declared dead, I am currently not obligated to go to school, so—o... not much happened”, continued Peter thoughtfully. “I think you have more to tell! What happened in the past five years? Tell me all about Morgan's birth! And her first day at kindergarten and—who is the flying blonde woman who seems to be with Rhodey all the time now? And the woman who called you 'uncle'? And since when are you and... uh... Nebu...?... so close? Have you spent a lot of time together in the past five years? And what happened to Thor?! Also did that one lady really have a pegasus, or did I imagine that? And was there a talking raccoon? There was, right? Together with a talking tree? I have so many questions, Mister Stark. Also why did you never introduce Harley and me? He would be way less acting like he's my senior and I should listen to him if you had introduced us earlier!”
“So many questions, so many accusations”, huffed Tony very amused. “Nebula and I spent a lot of time together returning from Titan and... in the past five years, yes. The talking raccoon doesn't like to be called a raccoon. The tree is his son. Don't ask, I don't understand that one either. And the pegasus, honestly, I have no idea where that came from either... Ah yes, the blonde flying lady is Carol and she's now dating Rhodey and Rhodey's wife. I swear I would have introduced you to his daughter Monica sooner, but... things happened, I suppose.”
Peter smiled to himself as he settled in to listen to Tony's voice.

a love letter to the marvel ladies
i just watched endgame for the second time and, just like the first time, i came away from the cinema utterly in love with all the marvel ladies, so much so that i just had to write this post and get the thoughts off my chest.
lots of endgame spoilers in here - if you do not want to be spoiled, do not click into the cut!
hope: she may not have had a big role, but what matters is that she was there in the end, battling for the fate of earth, fighting alongside scott. when scott needed to get to his van, she was by his side in a flash, and when they shrunk to get through the battlefield, she took his hand, SHE led the way through the battle to their van. i remember in iron man 1 pepper said to tony “you couldn’t tie your shoelaces without me” and you know what, that’s kinda how i feel about scott and hope too. (i love them dflkjfdlf)
mantis: she didn’t have a big role either, but reminder that she and she alone held thanos still with her powers in infinity war, buying the others almost enough time to get the gauntlet off him. she doesn’t SEEM like she does much, maybe, but she’s proven she can put a celestial and a titan wielding the power of the infinity stones to sleep. i wish she had had a bigger part in endgame, but it’s okay - i get the constraints of combining so many characters into one battle, and like i said, she’s already proven herself.
okoye: fhdjlkdf i love her so much, such an amazing brave fighter, the best lieutenant anyone could ever ask for, loyal to her country and her king, willing to throw down and kill the man she was in love with to protect her country. she was right there by t’challa in the final battle, hacking down thanos’ armies like they were paper, and you wouldn’t expect her to be anywhere else.
shuri: shuri is a thinker, not a fighter. but she fought for her country against killmonger, she did her best to help and save vision in the battle of wakanda, she returned from dust to fight in the final battle against thanos alongside her brother, with her vibranium weapons of her own design. pure genius and pure bravery in one sassy package.
natasha: thinking about nat fucking hurts my heart, oh my god. for five years she was working her ass off, on high alert constantly for any threats to earth, real or imagined. she was so tired and she just kept going, because this was all that was even keeping her going. she didn’t have to sacrifice herself because clint was going to, he was so determined he should be the one to do it, but she did it anyway, because she recognised clint had a family to go back to. she did too -  she had her found family - except she wanted to do this for them, to bring those of her family who weren’t there anymore back, to ensure that clint’s family wouldn’t have to come back and live without him. the avengers would never have gotten the soul stone, never have carried out their plan without her sacrifice. and while on one hand i recognise that fact, i’m also fucking torn up about it. nat deserved so much better than that death on an alien planet. she should have come home.
gamora: i love gamora - she’s so kickass and so badass, all of the time. thanos trained her to become the deadliest woman in the galaxy, and she not only lived up to her name but had a hand in bringing him down. her death scene in infinity war was just as hard for me to watch as nat’s was. now i just want her to be found and reunited with the guardians in gotg3, back with her family and her sister.
nebula: i am honestly so, so glad they gave nebula the redemptive arc that they did, because damn, she more than redeemed herself in this. she’s been tortured and broken and taken apart so many times, she’s been through so much pain and fear, and she found it in herself to break free from thanos’ control and her need to please him all the time, to do something good and to save the universe. she helped tony and kept him alive as long as she could when they were adrift in space, she led the avengers to the garden to confront thanos, and she killed her own past self, both literally and figuratively, to save the world.
valkyrie: i fucking love valkyrie so much oh my god she’s so sassy and so badass and so strong. when she appeared on her winged horse aragorn at the head of the battle charge i literally squealed. i also looooved the moment when she flew right up to a chitauri leviathan and tore through its entire flank with dragonfang. my girl brought down a leviathan all on her own and i am PROUD. the true queen of asgard.
pepper: like shuri, pepper is not a fighter. and like she says herself, “trying to get tony to stop has been one of the greatest failures of her life”. but when it came down to it, she encouraged tony to do what he had to - help the avengers with the time heist. she knew what was at stake - she knew tony could die, she knew he might lose her and/or morgan if things went wrong, but she let him do the right thing over the selfish thing. and she was right there at the final battle in the rescue suit, knowing full well that if anything happened to both tony and her, morgan would be orphaned - but she was fighting to save the universe for her daughter. pepper always knew what the important things were. and at the end, she made sure to tell tony that it was okay, that he could rest, that she and morgan would be fine. and then she was left to raise morgan on her own, but by god, i bet she did a fine ass job.
carol: I ADORE HER she makes me drool with how incredibly strong she is. her first scene in endgame literally has her carrying tony’s ship, on her back, through deep space and back to earth. when she reappears for the final battle she rips through thanos’ entire ship and destroys it like nothing. she held thanos back and prevents him from using the gauntlet when thor himself couldn’t do it with both mjolnir and stormbreaker, and she did that with a smirk on her face. I LOVE HER.
wanda: MY GIRL WANDA IS STRONG AF, holy shit. i’ve always thought her power was linked to the reality stone in some way, given the whole ~colour of it and the fact that she can warp reality and also how damn strong she is - but legit she’s as powerful as an infinity stone. when she looks up at thanos with her eyes glowing red and then proceeds to almost tear him apart - that was one of the best scenes for me. i have no doubt she could and would have killed him singlehandedly, if he hadn’t ordered his armies to rain fire. that in itself is a testament to the strength of her powers - thanos literally had to sacrifice his own troops and shoot upon them just to free himself from her.
also that unforgettable scene where peter is clutching the gauntlet, watching the armies of thanos charging towards him, and all the ladies line up in front of him to protect him - i may have squealed out loud in the cinema. i’m not even ashamed. THIS IS WHAT I LIVE FOR. WE STAN STRONG WOMEN.

Food for Fanfic/Fanart
Orphans/Partial Orphans:
Thor: Watched each family member and best friend die in front of him, one by one.
Is kind of reckless with rage, but mostly holds it together surprisingly well. Tony Stark: Loses parents in college, spends decades thinking it was a car crash (and likely blaming dad for it), then watches footage of their murder with the apparent killer right next to him, and in the same instance, learns the comrade also next to him admit with no visible remorse that he knew.
20 minute violent meltdown, then makes no further attempt to go after Bucky.
Next time we see him, Tony is helping Rhodey with his legs. Afterward, Tony puts all effort into mentoring and protecting Peter Parker and defending the Earth from Thanos. Improved personality implies that the Siberia incident also inspired him to seek sought long overdue mental help.
Wanda and Pietro Maximoff: As children, saw parents killed by missiles with Stark’s name on them, spent days looking at one “Stark” nuke waiting for it to kill them. “Recruited” by Hydra shortly after.
Committed a number of atrocities while working for Hydra... but they were “recruited” as traumatized kids, switched sides relativity quickly in “Ultron,” Pietro gave his life to save Clint and a kid, and Wanda expressed visible guilt over her past. She also had no ill words for Tony after “Ultron” save “You locked me in my room!”, which she was fine with until Hawkeye convinced her not to be
Also, she joined the Avengers despite Tony being a constant reminder of her parents’ deaths, and as mentioned above, she’s stopped giving him shit for that.
Steve Rogers: Dad died before he was born, mom died when he was a teenager/young man, apparently no next of kin able or willing to take him in, just Bucky.
Took questionable measures trying to follow in war-hero parents’ footsteps, at an age when young men are most vulnerable to testosterone-fulled stupidity, nad in a time period with some limited ideas about masculinity, and with his medical conditions and always getting bullied for them.
Bucky Barnes: Unless one of his parents has lived to be VERY very old
Everything bad he did was under mind control, so.....if you wanna blame Buck for that then go fuck yourself. With a cactus.
Black Panther: Saw dad killed by bomb
"I didn’t kill your father!” “Then why did you run?” Tried to murder Bucky based on shaky evidence, for at least one full day, not listening to Buck the one time he said he was innocent, it’s not like anyone was making much of an effort to convey Bucky’s innocence to BP. In any case, T’Challa learns the truth, stops letting revenge consume him, defeats Zemo, and saves the shit out of our Buck-muffin.
Princess Shuri: Dad murdered.
Does nothing bad.
Erik Killmonger: Found dad’s murdered body. Abandoned by Wakandan relatives. Mom somehow out of the picture. Grew up seeking revenge, and the power to “save” his culture, as he saw it. Willing to murder own relatives and countless innocent children to do so. We feel for him but let’s face it, he’s a bad guy. As Okoye said, “Your heart is so filled with hate, it is not worthy to sit on that throne!” Peter Parker: And Uncle Ben, but we’ll get to that later.
Peter Quill: Mom dying of cancer in the hospital, while he was a child, was his last experience on Earth. Years later, dad admits directly to Peter that he put the tumor in her head, with no genuine guilt. Also, there’s a graveyard of mountains of the skeletons of Peter’s half-siblings killed by his dad as well (though this oddly isn’t brought up much) Kills his evil dad, with a bit of poetic justice (puts a “tumor” of sorts in Ego’s “head”)
Gamora and Nebula: Parents murdered by Thanos; raised and brainwashed by parents murderer.
Worked for the most evil man in the universe, after growing up brainwashed by him, and both still managed to see the error in this and turn against him
The rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy: Very likely, but can’t say for sure
Did a ton of questionable stuff, because they’re a ragtag bunch of antiheroes with shitty pasts.
Hope Van Dyne: Mom “died” when she was a kid, relationship with dad crumbled as a result
Ava Starr/”Ghost:” Saw parents killed in lab accident
Gradually turned evil after Shield (or Hydra?) manipulated her to be their assassin, and living in constant physical pain all her life.
Loki: Orphaned as a blue baby, didn’t learn the truth for hundreds of years. Then saw adopted mother die.
Did a ton of evil stuff, killed Phil, but...... he’s such a ham, does anyone take him as a serious villain anymore? He’s basically Plankton from “Spongebob,” just looks better in chains. Love or hate him as you see fit, I don’t really care.
Other Dead Relatives/Surrogate Relatives:
Thor:
Saw adopted brother die, more than once; had to kill his own sister
Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes:
Unless all of their relatives are very, very old.
Steve Rogers:
Saw BFF/surrogate brother Bucky “die,” twice, right in front of him
Wanda Maximoff:
Saw brother die, and works with the man who her brother died to save, a regular reminder of Pietro’s death
Peter Parker: Uncle Ben
Tony Stark:
Surrogate son dusted in his arms, while begging not to go and then saying “I’m sorry,” leaving Tony coated in his remains
Black Panther:
Forced to kill own cousin
Shuri:
Brother was forced to kill their cousin
Dr. Strange:
Dead little sister he couldn’t save
Peter Quill:
Mountains of skeletons of his half-siblings killed by his dad; also, saw adoptive father die in his arms, giving his life to save his
Nebula:
Adopted sister murdered by evil “dad” (who also probably killed her parents and possibly siblings)
Rocket:
Loses entire surrogate family, the one he’s closest to right in front of him, as a kid
Dead Lovers:
Peter Quill: Was willing to keep his promise and kill Gamora--his last living loved one after losing literally his whole family--to save the universe. Fails. Thinks he can rescue Gamora after all. Learns of her murder with the murderer inches away from him.
Loses it for, at most, one minute. Then gets right back into the fray. Only real question is why the others didn’t anticipate this, and restrain him with their super-strength/magic
Wanda Maximoff: Was willing to kill Vision, her last living loved one after losing her whole family--to save the universe. Thanos steals this sacrifice, and murders Vision right in front of her.
Gets dusted right after
Steve Rogers: Saw his first love dying of old age, and had to bury her
Hank Pym: Or so he thought for enough decades, it may as well count
Valkyrie: Saw comrade and lover killed in battle (behind scenes info confirms this was her lover)
Lost hope in her duties as a Valkyrie, helped the Grandmaster capture and kill innocents... but then turned against him and helped Thor save the world from Hela
Carol Danvers: Probably, according to her backstory
Deaths They Thought They Were Witnessing:
Steve Rogers:
Saw Bucky fall to his “death,” thought he was dead for years
Tony Stark:
Saw Pepper “die” after failing to catch her (and seeing her tortured)
Peter Quill: Fired to kill Gamora, only for the blast to become bubbles  Everyone in “Black Panther:” Thought they saw T’Challa killed by Killmonger
Hank Pym: Thought he saw wife die before him, spent decades thinking she was dead and losing relationship with his daughter for it
All Survivors of the Snappening:
Probably
Physical Torture:
Tony Stark: Water-boarded in a cave, after heart surgery with no anesthesia  Pepper Potts: Roasted alive  Bucky Barnes: Hydra guinea pig for 70 years  Gamora: Part of her indoctrination as a child Nebula: Pulled apart by Thanos to get info from Gamora Dr. Strange: Squidward’s pin cushion  Rocket Raccoon: “Taken apart and put back together”
Ava Starr: Childhood accident left her in nonstop pain all growing up
Thor: Electrocuted while restarting that artificial planet to get Stormbreaker
Physically-Modified Without Consent:
Rocket Raccoon:
See above
  Bucky Barnes:
Winter Soldier transformation
  Tony Stark:
Car-battery in chest
Gamora and Nebula:
Part of being “adopted” by Thanos
Bruce Banner: Lab accident
Ava Starr: Dad’s lab accident
Guilt Complexes:
Tony Stark:
Shut down weapons company and became Iron Man after seeing how his weapons were being misused, confessed guilt at public press conference while seated down under the podium; worst fear is teammates and world dead because he couldn’t save them; built Ultron to prevent this from happening; donated huge sums of money to college kids and signed Accords over Ultron guilt; “...and if you died, I feel like that’s on me. I don’t need that on my conscience.”
Guilt about trying to kill Bucky not directly addressed, but as he’s made no further attempt to go after Bucky, it’s highly likely that Tony has learned more about Bucky’s situation and, having seen Hawkeye mind-controlled and having personal experience with mental illness, probably doesn’t feel great about Siberia.
Wanda Maximoff:
“This is all because of me!” at destruction caused by Ultron: visibly horrified by her misfire in CW; says “I’ve caused enough trouble” when Hawkeye is first trying to recruit her; tells Vision he should keep his word to Tony Stark in IW; and is visibly upset at news of Tony going missing on the spaceship (bear in mind, she has seen Tony’s worst fear, and heightened it)
Bucky Barnes:
“But it was still me.” “I remember them all.”
Steve Rogers:
Blames self for Bucky’s first “death” in CA:TFA. Questionable “apology” letter to Tony at least includes phone, and promise to be there for anything, risking capture. Steve probably does feel bad, even if he’s not that great at expressing it with words.
Bruce Banner:
Need I say more?
Thor:
Survivor’s guilt is pretty obvious. Also, guilt and humility were requirements for being able to lift the Hammer in his first movie.
Natasha Romanoff:
“You think you’re the only monster here?”
Dr. Strange: Failed to save little sister, and then the Ancient One
Scott Lang: Feels like a failure to his daughter, more so after “Civil War,” clearly has at least mixed feelings if not outright regret about his role in CW
Hank Pym: Blames self for wife’s “death”
Ava Starr: ....maybe? We’ll have to wait and see.
Everyone else:
Survivor’s guilt to some degree is clear every time a comrade, mentor or civilian dies.
I’ll probably update this as I think of more.

The Greatest Female Marvel Super Heroes
The Marvel Universe is massive. There are thousands of characters from different realities, timelines, spaces, and places, all sourced from nearly 80 years of magnificent Marvel material. But across all of Marveldom, female Super Heroes have proven to be some of the most amazing, dynamic, powerful, sharp shooting, heavy hitting characters around.
With that in mind, Marvel decided to take the opportunity to spotlight a few of the most impressive women in Marvel Universe. So if you need to get up to speed on the invincible women of Marvel, you’ve come to the right spot.
Here are just a few of the greatest Super Heroes (who also happen to be women) ever. Check out the full list below.
Tumblr media
Carol Danvers AKA Captain Marvel
Carol Danvers long dreamed of space exploration, so it’s fitting that she would grow up to become the leader of Alpha Flight and one of the most powerful spacefaring Super Heroes in existence!
She had an accomplished career even before gaining her powers, though. Working as an Air Force pilot, intelligence agent, and NASA employee, she investigated multiple attempts by the Kree and the Skrulls to disrupt the American space program. During a related battle, she was exposed to the Psyche-Magnitron, a Kree device that rewrote her DNA. This transformed her into a human-Kree hybrid and gave her powers similar to those of the Kree Mar-Vell, the original Catpain Marvel. Namely, she gained the abilities of flight, superhuman strength, and “binary” powers which, though largely dormant, give her the virtual strength of a sun.
For years she fought alongside Mar-Vell as Ms. Marvel. When he died, took over the moniker Captain Marvel as a tribute. In addition to leading Alpha Flight, she has also served as a leading member of the Avengers.
Tumblr media
Natasha Romanoff AKA Black Widow
Black Widow aka Nat, is the epitome of everything that comes to mind when you think of a cool, always capable spy.
Born in the Soviet Union as Natalia Romanova, she was orphaned as a child. This difficult start then led Natasha down winding path to the Russian army and the Black Widow program, where she was trained to become a skilled assassin and enhanced with the Soviet version of the Super-Soldier serum. While her work required her to undertake some morally questionable missions, she ultimately defected to S.H.I.E.L.D., became an Avenger, and joined the forces of good.
Tumblr media
Wanda Maximoff AKA Scarlet Witch
Scarlet Witch is definitely not someone you want to pick a fight with!
One of the planet’s most powerful magic wielders, she can manipulate chaos magic and warp reality. The complete history of her childhood is unknown, but she grew up in Eastern Europe with her twin brother Pietro (AKA Quicksilver). Local conflicts separated the twins from their parents, forcing Wanda to hide her growing powers. As they got older, Wanda and Pietro were taken in by the mutant master Magneto and joined his Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Soon, however, they became disenchanted with the group and struck out on their own, with Wanda ultimately becoming an Avenger.
Tumblr media
Jessica Jones
Jessica Jones is everyone’s favorite sarcastic, leather jacket-loving private eye.
When Jessica was a child, her father accidentally crashed the family car into a military truck. A canister filled with an unknown, experimental material crashed through the windshield and into Jessica’s lap. Her injuries sent her into a coma, but she ultimately recovered and discovered she had superhuman physical strength, the ability to fly, and enhanced resistance to injury. Her parents were killed in the accident, and she later suffered mind control and manipulation at the hands of the villain Killgrave (AKA the Purple Man), all of which scarred her emotionally.
For a period, she adopted the Super Hero name Jewel and fought villains alongside the Avengers. But that kind of crime fighting didn’t suit her, so she started Alias Investigations, a private detective firm where she now puts her cunning intelligence to good use.
Tumblr media
Ororo Monroe AKA Storm
With the ability to manipulate weather patterns, Storm is one of the planet’s most powerful mutants.
She is the daughter of a Kenyan princess and an American photographer, though both parents were killed in a plane crash when Storm was young. Finding herself an orphan, Storm had little choice but to wander the streets and pick pockets to survive. However, her latent mutant abilities eventually manifested, giving her the opportunity to save the life of Prince T’Challa (the soon-to-be Black Panther), and to come into contact with Charles Xavier, who asked her to join a new version of the X-Men. Since then, Storm has built a legacy as a freedom fighter and a mentor to young mutants.
Tumblr media
Kamala Khan AKA Ms. Marvel
Ms. Marvel is a Pakistani-American, Muslim teen growing up in New Jersey that idolized the Avengers and, in particular, Captain Marvel.
When she was exposed to the transforming Terrigen Mist, her Inhuman powers manifested, giving her the ability to extend her limbs, grow in size, and shape shift in other ways. She began fighting villains under the name Ms. Marvel as a tribute to Carol, who ultimately became her mentor.
Ms. Marvel continues to fight alongside the Avengers and the Champions while, all the while, facing the everyday struggles of being a teenager.
Tumblr media
Shuri
Shuri is the sister of T’Challa and the princess of Wakanda. Unfortunately, she spent much of her early life forced into the shadow of her brother, but after stopping an invasion of Wakanda and helping T’Challa recover after being attacked by Doctor Doom, Shuri stepped into her own.
She took the spotlight and, for a period, served as the Black Panther, proving herself to be a true hero. Though the mantle eventually went back to T’Challa, Shuri has continued to demonstrate her talents as a brilliant scientist. And, by ingesting a heart-shaped herb that grants her enhanced physical strength and donning a suit made of vibranium, she fights villains as a hero in her own right.
Tumblr media
Gamora
After watching as Gamora’s parents were killed and her people wiped from existence, the Mad Titan Thanos took in the young women as his adoptive daughter. The Titan then raised her to be the “deadliest woman in the galaxy,” training her as an assassin.
Gamora became a highly talented fighter, practically unkillable, though Thanos’s tortuous mind games and punishing training took their toll. Eventually, Gamora broke ties with Thanos, joining the Guardians of the Galaxy in part as a way to seek redemption for the violence she had committed while still under his influence.
Tumblr media
Jean Grey
She’s certainly not a woman to be underestimated.
Jean Grey had her telepathic mutant abilities first manifest at age 10 when she witnessed a close friend die. Her parents sought the advice of Charles Xavier, who is himself a mighty telepath. Xavier treated Jean and introduced her to the astral plane, at which point a part of her mind manifested as a Phoenix and her telekinetic powers grew.
She joined the X-Men and, while on a mission, was noticed by the Phoenix Force, which believed her to have unlimited potential. Ultimately, the Phoenix Force would take over her body and powers, and she would find herself in an extended struggle to retake control from it. However, when Jean was later killed, it was the Phoneix Force that resurrected her.
Tumblr media
Janet Van Dyne AKA the Wasp
As a young socialite, Janet met Hank Pym, a brilliant scientist and the original Ant-Man, when her father (who was also a scientist) consulted him about a device he was building. Janet and Hank hit it off, and she eventually married him and began fighting villains at his side as the Wasp.
She wore a suit that, like his, used Pym Particles to allow her to shrink to the point of being microscopic or, alternatively, to dramatically grow in size. She would also sprout antennae and gain the ability to fly when at her smaller size. Janet became a founding member of the Avengers, and in fact led the team for an extended period; Janet even gave the team their name. These days, Janet mentors Hank’s previously unknown daughter Nadia, who is also a genius scientist and has taken over the mantle of the Wasp.
Tumblr media
Laura Kinney AKA X-23
Wolverine has spent much of his life as a loner, with few people who could truly relate to the struggles he has faced. But the one person who might understand him is Laura Kinney.
Created from Wolverine’s stolen DNA, she was made to be a perfect killing machine. The leaders of a top-secret program tasked Doctor Sarah Kinney with recreating the Weapon X experiment that transformed Logan into Wolverine. Laura was born as a result of these experiments, and was trained to be a cold and unfeeling killer. But X-23 isn’t the type to allow her fate to be determined by others, and she eventually escaped. Though she led a bit of a checkered life after that, she found her way to Charles Xavier and, later, the Avengers Academy.
Tumblr media
Doreen Green AKA Squirrel Girl
If you’re looking for a hero who has both fighting prowess and an endlessly spunky, optimistic spirit, you’re in luck!
For unknown reasons, Doreen Green began to develop odd, squirrel-like features at a young age, including buck teeth and a bushy tail. She soon gained the relative strength and agility of a squirrel which, taking into account her human size, gave her formidable powers. To escape the taunts of her classmates, she began spending much of her time in the woods, where she bonded with the squirrels there and learned to communicate with them.
She saved the life of a squirrel named Monkey Joe, who encouraged her to use her abilities to help others. Due to her interest in science, she idolized Tony Stark and soon found herself in a position to fight Doctor Doom by his side. This launched her on the path to becoming an unbeatable Super Hero and an Avenger.

This Isn’t Over, Kid
Tumblr media
Tony Stark x Daughter Reader, Peter Parker x Reader,
Words: 2736
Part One
Summary: Again, spoilers for Infinity War. The reader and the other Avengers are making plans to undo everything Thanos has done. Tony and Cap continue to argue while the reader replays the final battle over and over again in her mind.
Notes: I just really wanted to add more to Peter and the reader’s relationship, including his final moments.
“Y/N!” Your father called out as Thanos launched you away from him, your suit had already been nearly destroyed. There were no blasters to keep you from hitting the ground. You closed your eyes, awaiting the pain.
“I’ve got you.” A voice comforted, arms latching around you. Peter held onto you as the metal legs of his suit kept the two of you from hitting the ground. “Don’t worry, I’ve got you.”
“Peter, if we don’t…” You started.
“Don’t even think about it. We can still win this.” He said. The Guardians ran towards Thanos, but he knocked them back with a wave of energy. They started to float off, but Peter set you down and started grabbing them with his webs. You turned back to Thanos and froze. Your father was on the ground, Thanos continuously hitting him.
“Dad!” You screamed, running towards them as fast as you possibly could. Tony got up, facing the giant Titan, refusing to give up. As you drew closer, Thanos began to aim the gauntlet at you.
“Not today you son of a bitch.” Tony growled, his suit forming a blade as he thrust it towards Thanos. Thanos grabbed his arm and snapped off the metal weapon. Before Tony had a chance to think, Thanos turned the blade on him and drove it into his side.
You could tell that his side was still hurting him by the way his hand subconsciously fell to it when he stood. He could tell that you were sore with every step that you took. It was strange- even when you weren’t living with him, whenever there was something wrong with the other, the two of you could tell. And no matter how busy he was, he always managed to clear some time for you, especially when you were upset.
But now was different, and you both knew that. This wasn’t some high-school mean girl making fun of your shoes or whatever had seemed so important back then. People were dead. Half the population of the entire universe, to be precise. And one of them was… Peter. The one boy that you fell head over heels for from the moment you met him. And your father promised you that he’d bring him back.
He blamed himself. You saw that more than anyone. He thought that if Dr. Strange had just let him die, none of this would have happened. You wanted to tell him that it wasn’t his fault. That Thanos would have gotten the stone anyway and there would be one more person gone. And you wouldn’t have been able to handle it.
“Hey,” Bruce greeted awkwardly from the doorway. You were sitting in the lounge, trying to brainstorm a way to find Thanos. “How are you holding up?”
“I'll be fine once we get everyone back.” You sighed. Bruce nodded and sat down across from you.
“You shouldn’t have to worry about this kind of stuff.” He noted sadly.
“Well that’s our lives now, so I might as well get used to it.” You shrugged.
“Banner,” Tony said from the doorway. “Cap wants to talk to all of us.” Both of you stood. Tony gave you a crooked smile. “Not you.” You fell back onto the chair with an irritated groan. Nobody was letting you do anything and it was driving you insane.
You grabbed a water bottle from the fridge and headed down to the gym, hoping to throw some punches alone for a little while. After your mother was murdered, you took it upon yourself to learn some self-defense- mainly boxing. It calmed you down on the days you missed her the most.
Now you just needed something to take out your frustration on. Everytime you hit the punching bag, you saw Thanos fighting your dad.
“No!” You screamed, running towards your father as he stumbled backward, a gasp escaping his lips. “Dad!”
“Stop her,” Tony ordered and you felt a pair of arms wrap tightly around your waist.
“Let me go, Peter!” You shrieked, desperately trying to break out of your boyfriend’s grasp. “Let me go!” Tony looked at you and closed his eyes, a single tear running down his face.
You saw Thanos disappearing with the Time Stone after Dr. Strange gave it to him to save Tony.
As soon as Thanos vanished, you finally broke away from Peter and sprinted to your father. You stumbled across the rocks but kept going until you were in his arms. Tony held unto you, after mending his wound as best as he could for now. He hadn’t been ready to die. He couldn’t do that to you. He couldn’t leave you an orphan… just like he was.
“Are you okay?” You looked at the spot where he was stabbed and sighed with relief that it wasn’t fatal. But as the others started to gather, the realization hit you. Starlord looked around in horror.
“Did we just… lose?”
Most of all, you saw Peter. You heard the fear in his voice and saw his eyes looking up at you.
You felt numb. Thanos had won. People were fading away left and right; Starlord, Dr. Strange, and the others. And all you could do was stand there and watch.
“Mr. Stark….” Peter started beside you. He took your hand. “I don’t feel so good.” He stumbled forward, but you and Tony caught him.
“No no no, you’re okay.” You pleaded. “You’re going to be fine, Peter.” You could feel him start to shake.
“I don’t want to go.” He whispered, his voice filled with fear. “I don’t want to go. Please, sir, I don’t want to go.”
“You’re okay.” Tony shook his head, laying Peter down on the ground.
“Peter, please.” You ran your fingers through his hair. He reached up his hand to wipe away a falling tear from your cheek.
“I’m sorry.” His face broke apart into dust and drifted away as you tried to cling to him. But soon, you held nothing but the air and a memory.
You landed one final hit to the punching bag before resting your forehead against it, trying to catch your breath. Emotions ravaged through you and you couldn’t keep from shaking.
“I feel bad for that bag.” A voice said from the doorway. Bruce walked in with a sympathetic look on his face. “You okay?”
“I’m fine.” You snapped. He cocked an eyebrow. You were never good at lying to him. “I can’t stop thinking about it. All of it. And now, nobody will let me help and I’m just stuck here.” You slid down, sitting with your back against the wall. “I need to do something. Away from here.” Bruce sat down next to you.
“What did you have in mind?” You gave him a look.
“After my mom died, my dad bought our old house. He wanted me to be able to go somewhere that he knew about whenever we weren’t getting along or when I was upset. I just thought that I could really use that right now.” You sniffed and wiped a tear away with the back of your hand. Bruce put a comforting hand on your shoulder.
“I’ve still got a car.” He offered. Tony was going to kill him, but you’d always been like a daughter to him and you were hurting. He wanted to do something to help. “We could drive down to the city for the day, maybe stay there for a little while, if that’s what you want.”
“They need you here.” You argued.
“Yeah well, without the other guy, I’m not much help. I kind of understand how you feel in all this.” You looked at him and he gave you a small smile. “It’s up to you.” You thought for a moment. It wasn’t like you were going to be missed here. You pulled him into a hug.
“Thank you.” The two of you stood and made your way to the garage, but not before you stuck a note to the door of your bedroom, telling your father that you needed to clear your head.
“Ready?” Bruce asked, unlocking his car. You nodded.
“Let’s go.”
“Peter…” You gasped as if all of the air had been sucked out of you. “No.” You clawed at the red dirt of Titan’s surface, each tear that fell turning blood-red. “Come back! No! Peter!” You screamed, letting the pain take over you. “Peter!” You kept scratching the ground, rocks digging into your skin.
“Y/N,” Tony said softly. You let out another anguished cry. He pulled you to him, putting his own grief aside to try and comfort you. You buried your face in his shoulder and he held the back of your head as you sobbed against his suit. You tried to push away from him, but he held you tightly. “Y/N, stop.” You still tried to get away.
“We have to save him. We have to-” You could barely breath in between sobs. “Peter!” Finally, you gave up. You let your father practically pull you into his lap and hold onto you like you were the only thing he had left. Maybe you were. There was no way of knowing who else was gone so for that moment, the two of you were all each other had.
Neither of you knew how long you were just sitting there, completely alone on a deserted planet. But there was a loud sound and a bright light flashed before you. There, looking tired and despairing, was Thor. Tony stood and tried to lift you up with him, but you wouldn’t move.
“I can’t leave him.” You refused. Tony sighed sadly.
“Sweetie… we have to go.” His eyes pleaded with you and even though you shook your head, you were far too tired to argue. So he scooped you up in his arms, like you were still that little girl running around his apartment, and carried you back home.
It was exactly as you remembered it, but something about it just felt… different. The drive here was in mostly silence, Bruce occasionally asking about things from before Thanos. Conversation safe topics- school, mostly. But even that was difficult. You went to Midtown Science. Your dad had offered to enroll you in more advanced schools, but you liked Midtown. You could study your engineering without the bother of stuck-up brats asking you insult-laced questions about Stark Industries.
It was where you met Peter.
“Do you want anything to eat?” You asked Bruce as he looked around. “I’m sure I’ve still got some cereal in the cabinet somewhere.” You always stashed snacks for when you needed to blow off steam after school before heading back to your dad’s place. Bruce shook his head, thanking you for the offer. “Make yourself at home.”
As he examined the contents of your mother’s bookshelf, you slowly entered your old bedroom. It was smaller than the one you had now, but it was the room you’d grown up in. There was a picture of you and your mother on the nightstand from when you went to Niagara Falls when you were eight. You sat down on your bed, picking up the frame.
“I wish you were here.” You whispered. Your tears fell onto the glass and you tried to wipe them away. “You would know exactly what to do. You would tell me to stop feeling sorry for myself and get up and get him back.” You clutched the picture to your chest, looking up at the ceiling. “I’m trying, mom.”
Back in the living room, Bruce made sure you were gone and answered his phone, which had been ringing since you’d both left headquarters. He had to pull the phone away from his ear when he heard Tony’s angry shouts.
“Where the hell are you? And where is Y/N?” He demanded. Bruce took a deep breath.
“She’s with me and we’re perfectly safe, Tony.” He assured him.
“You’re kidding me right?” Tony scoffed. “Half of the earth was just wiped out. People are panicking. It’s chaotic.”
“She needed to get out, Tony.” Bruce ran a hand over his face. “I just wanted to give her a break.”
“I’m coming to get you. Where are you?”
“I don’t think she wants to see you right now.”
“I don’t care!” Tony exclaimed. “I am her father.”
“I’m sorry, Tony.” Bruce hung up before Tony could say anything else. He quickly hid his phone as he saw you enter from the other room. “Hey… how are you feeling?” He saw your red eyes and the tear streaks drying on your cheeks. You pushed everything down and gave him a smile.
“I’m gonna make some popcorn.” You announced. “I’m sure there are still some cheesy old rom-coms under the TV.” You disappeared back into the kitchen and Bruce exhaled the breath he didn’t realize he was holding. He tried to convince himself that he was doing the right thing, letting you take a break from everything and everyone, but he couldn’t help but wonder if keeping it from Tony was a bad idea.
It didn’t take much to get Bruce to agree to your favorite movie that you used to watch with your mom. You could tell that he was just trying to make you happy. You almost felt the urge to laugh. Two years ago, you were sitting on this couch, probably watching this same movie, with your mother. You’re only worry was what you were going to wear to all those stupid middle school dances. Now your only friend was a middle-aged man who turned into a giant green monster when he got cranky.
You’d barely gotten through the beginning credits when a bright light and the sound of metal feet coming up the sidewalk signaled the end of your little getaway. Both of you went outside to see a furious Tony standing on the porch, his suit already fading off.
“Dad-” You started but he held up a hand to stop you.
“Not now.” He snapped. He eyed one of his closest friends like he’d just kidnapped his kid. “Care to explain, Bruce?”
“I asked him to-” Again he stopped you.
“The adults are talking!”
“I offered to bring her here, Tony.” Bruce sighed. “This isn’t her-”
“It is my fault!” You shouted. “It was my idea and I dragged you into it.” You turned to your father. “I needed to get out okay? It was all driving me crazy! You promised that we’d get everyone back! You promised to get him back and we’re still standing here doing nothing!” You screamed, stepping towards him. Tony closed his eyes.
“Bruce, I think I need to talk to my daughter alone.” His tone was calm, but you could tell he was barely keeping it together. Bruce nodded and informed that he would be inside if he was needed. He opened his eyes again and you could see the hurt within them. “You don’t think I’m trying? I have been busting my ass to get Peter back. You’re not the only one who cared about him, Y/N. Peter was my responsibility and I let him down.” You sat down on the porch swing and brought your legs up, tucking them under your chin.
“Sometimes I wonder why we even try.” You admitted. “We couldn’t stop Thanos in the first place, so how are we supposed to reverse what he’s done?” You sniffed and wiped away your tears with your sleeve. “God, I can’t stop crying. It’s pathetic.”
“Hey,” Tony said softly, taking a seat next to you. “This isn’t over, kid. We aren’t going to stop until we get him back. And if we’re gonna do that, we’re going to need every person we’ve got.” You looked at him.
“Really? You’re going to let me help?” Every part of Tony wanted to say no, but maybe Cap was right. Besides, you had handled yourself the last time.
“Only if you promise to be careful.” He said in his best ‘dad voice’. Your face brightened and you pulled him into a hug.
“Thank you.” You whispered, pulling away. Tony smiled and wrapped an arm around your shoulders, both of you looking up at the sky. “Mom would know what to do.” Tony chuckled, remembering your mother’s fiery wisdom. She always seemed to know the answer to everything.
“Yeah… she would.”

To Those Who Say Thanos Solves Marvel’s Villain Problem
Yeah...no. No, he really doesn’t.
First off, Marvel’s broke its streak of lame villains with Ego in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2, followed by Vulture in Spider-Man Homecoming, then, skipping Hela in Thor: Ragnarok (she was ok, just nothing great as a villain), Killmonger in Black Panther.
Second, let’s talk about Thanos himself. His goal is dumb. He wants to bedazzle his golden oven mitt and use it to kill half the universe to stop overpopulation since it’s depleting resources and making everyone miserable.
Now, this thing he’s using, the Infinity Gauntlet, is most likely infinitely powerful. He could kill everyone in the universe if he wanted. He’s only killing half the universe because killing everyone would kind of defeat the point, now, wouldn’t it? Can’t have a good quality of life without life.
Anyway, with that in mind, that means he could find so many different ways to achieve his goals without genocide. I won’t go into all of them, since I’ve done so in a different post, but suffice to say genocide is the edgy 13 year old’s solution.
Even ignoring his goals, let’s look at how he’s supposed to be humanized. He’s shown as caring for Gamora, his adopted daughter. We’re shown a flashback of him meeting her, and deciding to adopt her. He’s on some planet, engaging in genocide, when he comes across young Gamora. Lil’ green girl asks testicle chinned Barney a question, and Thanos answers, and uses some knife to make a point about balance or something. Then he says, “You’re brave,” and takes the kid.
So...why did he take her? Asking him a question isn’t a brave. She’s a little kid. Kids are curious. This is pretty much normal for a kid. I’m sure this isn’t the only time this has happened to him. So why Gamora? Seriously?
Also, side note: if Nebula is his biological daughter, who’s her mother? It certainly isn’t Death.
Anyway, Thanos kidnaps some orphan girl and tortures her as she grows up until she hates him. He apparently loves her, but not enough to prevent him from yeeting her off a cliff. And we’re supposed to feel bad, apparently.
I really can’t feel too bad for him.
Mind you, Thanos isn’t the worst comic book movie villain. Justice League’s Steppenwolf is so much worse. At least Thanos has a goal, motivation, and some semblance of humanization. Also, at least he’s not alien Mike Pence. Hell, Thanos isn’t even the worst MCU villain. Remember the villain from Ant-Man? No? Exactly.
However, Thanos doesn’t solve Marvel’s villain problem, and anyone who says otherwise I must respectfully disagree with.

MOVIE 1 - 3 IDIOTS
Tumblr media
In 1999, students Farhan Qureshi and Raju Rastogi of the Imperial College of Engineering in Delhi, struggle to compete within its cutthroat academic culture. Farhan is passionate about wildlife photography but chose to join in order to appease his father, while Raju is in need of a career that will extricate his family from poverty. Their roommate, the eccentric Ranchoddas "Rancho" Shamaldas Chanchad, who is genuinely passionate about engineering, gives unorthodox answers in class and frequently clashes with the school's director, Viru "Virus" Sahastrabuddhe, since he believes that students should enjoy what they learn, despite their strict teaching model.
When a student named Joy Lobo commits suicide after failing to meet a project deadline and being denied graduation by Virus, Rancho confronts Virus about the pressure placed on the students to succeed, but his rebellious behavior puts a strain on Farhan and Raju's relationships with their own families. Raju attempts to distance himself from Rancho, but when Raju's paralyzed father needs a medical emergency, Rancho saves his life by taking him to the hospital with the help of Virus' younger daughter Pia, who begins to fall in love with Rancho. At the end of the year, Rancho is shown to have topped the school's rankings despite his disdain for its education system, while Farhan and Raju continue to fall behind.
One night, while severely drunk, the trio break into Virus' house, where Rancho confesses his feelings to Pia and the other two urinate on his property. Virus spots them amidst their escape and tells Raju he will be thrown out of campus unless he helps him expel Rancho. A distraught Raju attempts suicide, but recovers due to committed care from his friends and family. With newfound perspective on his life, Raju successfully applies for a job, while Farhan receives an apprenticeship offer from his favorite photographer and earns his father's blessings.
An infuriated Virus attempts to sabotage Raju's chances of success by holding an unfairly difficult exam. With Pia's help, Rancho and Farhan break into his office to steal the exam papers and though Raju refuses to cheat, the trio are caught and expelled by Virus. Pia confronts her father over her brother's suicide, which was prompted by similar pressure placed on him by Virus to become an engineer at the expense of his own ambitions. That night, during a rainstorm that causes widespread flooding and power outrages, Virus' older daughter Mona, who is pregnant, goes into labor. Unable to drive to a hospital, Rancho and the other students use their engineering knowledge to quickly modify a vacuum cleaner into a ventouse and deliver the baby with the help of Pia. A grateful Virus acknowledges Rancho as an extraordinary student and revokes the expulsions. On graduation day, Rancho promptly disappears, and is never seen by his friends again.
Ten years later, Raju, now a business executive, and Farhan, a photographer, are both successful in their chosen careers. Their former classmate Chatur, now a wealthy executive in an American company, calls them, claiming to know Rancho's whereabouts in Shimla, and the three of them head out to find him. Upon arrival, they find a different man living by Rancho's name and degree. Upon confrontation, the man explains Rancho was his family's orphaned servant boy, who was tasked with completing his entire education for him all the way through, to earn a degree at ICE. He tells them Rancho had cut off all contact with his friends and gives them his actual address in Ladakh. Farhan and Raju decide to bring Pia along with them. Chatur protests the detour, as it would jeopardize his planned meeting with the illustrious client "Phunsukh Wangdu," a renowned scientist, but the duo meet up with Pia, who joins them.
In Ladakh, the group finds a thriving engineering school in the mountains for local children. They learn that Rancho has kept up to date with their careers and reunite with him. Rancho admits he is still in love with Pia and they decide to marry. Chatur assumes that Rancho is a lowly schoolteacher, but Rancho reveals his real name to be Phunsukh Wangdu, the successful client he has been after. The friends happily celebrate their reunion.
Answers:
1. Choose your friends wisely surround yourself with the dreamers and the doers the believers and thinkers but most of all surround yourself with those who see greatness within you.
2. "WHAT IS A MACHINE"
Tumblr media
This scene is about a teacher asking Rancho to define what a machine is.
Rancho answered in a simpler way and the teacher got upset because Rancho didn't answer by the books.
After a few more funny scenes, Rancho was about to leave the class but forgot his book and when asked by the teacher, he defined it in a very clever way.
3. My favorite character is Rancho aka Phunkshu Wangru the guy who struggled to become in life and also how he gave his advice to his room and friend Farhan and Raju and as well as how he still win over that guy who challenged him and as well as how he win his love Priya in the end and as well as how his dreams come true in the end and Priya wronged him that nose never come between when a boy and girl kiss. He is one of the most remarkable character which was played by Aamir Khan and as well as he played a big role as that character had lots of guts but no fear in his life as in the end he also work with office and also become a school teacher in the end.
4. Yes because this movie reminds me about my friends
MOVIE 2- AVENGERS ENDGAME
Tumblr media
Twenty-three days after Thanos used the Infinity Gauntlet to disintegrate half of all life in the universe,Carol Danvers rescues Tony Stark and Nebula from deep space and returns them to Earth, where they reunite with the remaining Avengers—Bruce Banner, Steve Rogers, Thor, Natasha Romanoff, and James Rhodes—and Rocket. Locating Thanos on an uninhabited planet, they plan to use the Infinity Stones to reverse "the Snap", but Thanos reveals he destroyed the Stones to prevent further use. Enraged, Thor decapitates Thanos.
Five years later, Scott Lang escapes from the quantum realm. At the Avengers' compound, he explains to Romanoff and Rogers he experienced five hours, not years, while trapped. Theorizing the quantum realm could allow time travel, they ask Stark to help them obtain the Stones from the past to undo Thanos' actions in the present. Stark refuses, thinking about his wife, Pepper Potts, and daughter, Morgan, but relents after musing on the death of Peter Parker. Stark, Rocket, and Banner, who has since merged his intelligence with the Hulk's strength, build a time machine. Banner notes changing the past does not affect their present; any changes instead create branched alternate realities. He and Rocket visit the Asgardian refugees' new home in Norway—New Asgard—to recruit Thor, now overweight and drinking heavily, despondent over his failure to stop Thanos. In Tokyo, Romanoff recruits Clint Barton, now a vigilante following Thanos' disintegration of his family.
Banner, Lang, Rogers, and Stark travel to New York City in 2012. Banner visits the Sanctum Sanctorum and convinces the Ancient One to give him the Time Stone. At Stark Tower, Rogers retrieves the Mind Stone, but Stark and Lang's attempt to steal the Space Stone fails, allowing 2012 Loki to escape with it. Rogers and Stark travel to S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters in 1970, where Stark obtains an earlier version of the Space Stone and encounters his father, Howard. Rogers steals Pym Particles from Hank Pym to use in returning to the present, and spies lost love Peggy Carter.
Meanwhile, Rocket and Thor travel to Asgard in 2013, extracting the Reality Stone from Jane Foster and retrieving Thor's hammer Mjolnir. Barton and Romanoff travel to Vormir in 2014, where the Soul Stone's keeper, the Red Skull, reveals it can only be acquired by sacrificing someone they love. Romanoff sacrifices herself, allowing Barton to obtain the Soul Stone. Nebula and Rhodes travel to Morag in 2014 and steal the Power Stone before Peter Quill can.Rhodes returns to the present with the Power Stone, but Nebula becomes incapacitated when her cybernetic implants link with those of her past self, allowing 2014 Thanos to learn of his fate at the hands of the Avengers. Thanos replaces present-day Nebula with 2014 Nebula.
Reuniting in the present, the Avengers place the Stones into a technological gauntlet Stark, Banner, and Rocket have created. Banner, the most resistant to the Stones' gamma radiation, is chosen to wield the gauntlet and reverses the disintegrations. Meanwhile, 2014 Nebula uses the time machine to transport 2014 Thanos and his warship to the present, where he attacks the Avengers' compound looking for the Stones. Present-day Nebula convinces 2014 Gamora to betray Thanos but is unable to convince 2014 Nebula and is forced to kill her. Confronted by Stark, Thor, and a Mjolnir-wielding Rogers, Thanos outmatches them and summons his army from his warship to retrieve the Stones, intent on using them to destroy the universe and create a new one. Stephen Strange arrives with other sorcerers, the restored Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy, the Ravagers, and the armies of Wakanda and Asgard to fight Thanos and his army. Danvers arrives and destroys Thanos' warship, but Thanos overpowers her and seizes the gauntlet. Stark steals the Stones and uses them to disintegrate Thanos and his army, at the cost of his own life.
Following Stark's funeral, Thor appoints Valkyrie as the new ruler of New Asgard and joins the Guardians. Rogers returns the Infinity Stones and Mjolnir to their original timelines and remains in the past to live with Carter. In the present, an elderly Rogers passes his shield and mantle to Sam Wilson.
Answers:
1. No amount of money ever bought a second amount of time
2. "I am Iron Man"
Tumblr media
this scene because IRON MAN or also known as Tony Stark sacrifices himself to save the universe
3. Tony Stark because he prepared a broken alien spaceship, creates the rescue armour as well as the infinity gauntlet and Mark 85, masters time travel in a day, gets more Pym particles, become a Dad, and wrestles the infinity stones off thanos (the strongest person in the universe) to save the entire universe from destruction.
4. Yes it reminds me that the greatest sacrifice is when you sacrifice your own happiness for the sake off someone else.
MOVIE 3- Detective Pikachu
Tumblr media
In the Pokémon universe, Tim Goodman is a 21-year-old insurance adjuster who gave up his dream of being a Pokémon trainer following the death of his mother and his estrangement from his father Harry, a police detective. Tim is contacted by the police of Ryme City, a city where humans and Pokémon live together in harmony and Pokémon battles are illegal. He is informed by Harry's friend, Detective Hideo Yoshida, that Harry was killed in a car accident. Tim goes to Harry's apartment to sort things out and meets Harry's police partner, a deerstalker-clad amnesiac talking Pikachu whom only Tim can understand; all others simply hear him say "Pika-Pika." Tim accidentally releases a mysterious purple gas, "R," from a vial he finds in Harry's office; they are then attacked by a party of Aipom who became rabid under the gas's influence.
The pair escape and Pikachu explains that after losing his memory following the crash, he believes that Harry also survived the crash as the police never found his body. They meet an informant of Harry's, a Mr. Mime who directs them to an underground illegal Pokémon battle arena. The arena's owner, Sebastian, recognizes Pikachu as the Pokémon who injured his Charizard in a previous battle and demands a rematch. He doses Charizard with "R", stirring it into a violent rage and Pikachu is unable to summon his electrical powers to fight back. While attempting to save Pikachu, Tim knocks Sebastian over and breaks several gas vials in his jacket, sending the arena's Pokémon into a frenzy. The arena is raided by police and Tim is brought to Yoshida, who reveals footage of Harry's crash, explaining that it is impossible for Harry to have survived.
Tim and Pikachu are contacted by Howard Clifford, the wheelchair-bound founder of Clifford Industries, who created Ryme City as a utopia for Pokémon and humans. Howard reveals Harry was abducted by a genetically engineered Pokémon called Mewtwo, who erased Pikachu's memory. He warns Tim that his son Roger is behind the creation of "R". Tim and Pikachu recruit aspiring journalist Lucy Stevens and her Psyduck and travel to the abandoned genetics lab Harry was investigating. The lab's personnel had been experimenting on Mewtwo and synthesized "R" from his genes. They are attacked by genetically enhanced Greninja and Pikachu is gravely injured. Tim begs a Bulbasaur to help Pikachu and it leads them to Mewtwo, who heals Pikachu before being captured by Roger. Pikachu remembers that he helped Mewtwo escape from the lab and believes he was responsible for betraying Harry. Not trusting himself, he leaves Tim.
Pikachu comes across the crash site and finds evidence that it was the Greninja, not Mewtwo, who were responsible for the crash. In Ryme City, Howard reveals the captured Mewtwo to Tim, exposing himself as the true mastermind by taking control of Mewtwo's body using a neural-link helmet that places his mind inside Mewtwo while his human body remains in the wheelchair. He explains that Mewtwo can fuse humans and Pokémon, allowing humans to evolve as Pokémon can and become one with them, but this can only be done if the Pokémon is in a confused state, thus the need for "R". Believing this is the future of humankind, Howard releases "R" across the city using parade balloons and begins fusing humans with their Pokémon. Pikachu summons his electrical powers to battle Mewtwo while Tim fights Howard's genetically modified Ditto, who had been impersonating Roger; the real Roger had been tied up and gagged by his father. Tim manages to remove Howard's helmet from his body, freeing Mewtwo from his control.
Mewtwo restores the city inhabitants to normal, Howard is arrested, and Roger hires Lucy as a full-time reporter, vowing to fix his father's mistakes. With ten years of history and nearly two dozen movies, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has held the attention of its fans steadfastly. Few other cinematic series have lasted as long or had as immediate of an impact on culture and filmmaking. Some of today’s most popular characters, like the Guardians of the Galaxy, were B-list characters at best, with little or no major fan following until their movies were released. Watching the massive increase in popularity for these characters was nothing short of amazing. Suddenly, our favorite characters had the spotlight in a way we’d never imagined!
In the age of the internet, such a major cultural milestone as the MCU is bound to stir up conversation of all kinds, including theories as to the direction of the MCU itself. After every new MCU release, it seems there are unanswered questions, new characters, and limitless possibilities for the future. It doesn’t take long to find lists of theories about what might happen in Avengers 4 and beyond, and what’s fascinating is the possibility that any of those theories may be spot on. Seriously, it’s not that far-fetched. Just take a look at some of the things that have happened in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far. Some of the biggest events started as nothing more than unfounded fan theories. From the roots of some of our favorite heroes to the fates of some of Marvel’s most classic villains, here are just 20 of the fan theories out there that turned out to be exactly right.
RED SKULL SURVIVED
One of the earliest movies in the MCU, Captain America: The First Avenger introduced his infamous nemesis, the Red Skull, to the MCU. As the leader of Hydra, the Red Skull was said to be even more evil than anything we’ve seen before, and was planning the complete takeover of the free world and the regime he represented. At the end of the film, he held the Cosmic Cube, and was seemingly destroyed.
However, many fans theorized that the Cosmic Cube was more than meets the eye —  it was the Space Stone. As such, it had likely teleported the Red Skull somewhere else in the universe. Viewers of Avengers: Infinity War would find this theory to become reality when the character returned as an immortal guardian of the Soul Stone.
SPIDER-MAN JOINING THE MCU
One of the other theories that Captain America: Civil War’s announcement caused was that Spider-Man would also be pulled into the MCU somehow. This seemed incredibly unlikely as Sony owns the rights to Spider-Man, and had recently suffered losses from the massive flop that Amazing Spider-Man 2 ended up being. But still, Spider-Man played a fairly large role in the Civil War comic event, so fans expected to see him show up.
And show up, he did. Marvel and Sony struck a deal to share the character, and allow Marvel some creative input on Spider-Man’s solo movies. In return, Marvel got to use Spider-Man in any Avengers movies they wanted. He made his first MCU appearance in Captain America: Civil War and continued on in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War, and will appear again in Avengers 4 and Spider-Man: Far From Home.
STAN LEE IS A WATCHER
For a while, Stan Lee’s cameos were nothing more than fun little jokes within each of the Marvel movies. He’d pop up in any movie, no matter which studio was making it. He’s the only thing that unites all of the various Marvel franchises over the years. Fans came to theorize that his omnipresence across the different films meant that there may be more to the character than meets the eye — he could be a Watcher, one of the aliens who is charged with witnessing the important events that occur throughout history.
This theory came true in Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2, where we see Stan Lee filling in the Watchers on several of the events that he’s seen. Whether he’s a Watcher, a friend of the Watchers, or something else entirely is still up for debate, but nonetheless, fans were a lot closer than they might have expected.
THE EYE OF AGAMOTTO IS AN INFINITY STONE
It’s hard to believe that something that is addressed so directly was originally just a fan theory, but by the time Doctor Strange had been announced, fans were searching for Infinity Stones harder than Thanos. Several had already been confirmed — the Reality Stone in Thor: The Dark World, the Space Stone (or Tesseract) in The Avengers, the Mind Stone in Avengers: Age of Ultron, and the Power Stone in Guardians of the Galaxy.
Fans felt certain another Infinity Stone was coming in the first film featuring the Sorcerer Supreme. With the evidence of a few hints of the time-based powers of the Eye of Aggamotto, fans assumed that the stone would be the Time Stone. They were totally right, as the fact that it was the fabled Time Stone was openly stated in the movie.
THOR BECOMES KING
It had been teased since Thor first hit theaters that Thor was destined to become the king of Asgard. Throughout the first movie, he struggled to prove himself worthy, during The Avengers and Thor: The Dark World, he learned that he didn’t really want to be a king. So, when time came for the third movie, fans assumed that somehow Odin would pass away and Thor would be forced to take the throne he never wanted.
The events of Thor: Ragnarok, while being Thor’s most fun movie, were also some of the darkest and most troubling for the God of Thunder. He lost an eye, his hair, his father, and his home. Somehow, he was expected to still go on and lead his people forward. Fans were proven right, and then some.
PETER PARKER IN IRON MAN 2
In Iron Man 2, there is a kid in an Iron Man mask who stands up to one of Whiplash’s drones with a toy Iron Man hand blaster and Iron Man lands behind him, blasts the drone and says, “Good job, kid!” Once it was announced that Spider-Man would be joining the MCU, fans liked the idea that this kid was a young Peter Parker.
Tom Holland likes the idea, and Kevin Feige has more of less agreed that it’s a nice notion, so it’s generally accepted that this may as well be the case. It adds a little more history between Peter and Tony — imagine Peter seeing Tony in his living room as a 16-year old after having been rescued by him years earlier. It makes that moment, and their relationship, a heck of a lot more meaningful.
SKYE IS QUAKE
Skye is the main protagonist of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. As the audience’s point-of-view character, she learns about the MCU and S.H.I.E.L.D.’s role as we do, and so, as we learned more about her, fans started to piece together just who she might be. Certain character details — that she was an Agent and that she was an orphan — alongside certain plot elements, like the introduction of Mr. Hyde and the Inhumans, all pointed to the idea that Skye would ultimately be revealed as Quake, an Inhuman from the comics.
As those who watch the show know, this is exactly how events played out. Though the Inhumans haven’t played a very large role in the greater MCU as a whole, they’ve had their best representation in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
VISION’S FATE
Considering Vision had an Infinity Stone implanted in his forehead, this one was kind of a no-brainer. Fans assumed that, for Thanos to succeed in his quest to gain the Infinity Stones and destroy half of all life in the universe, he’d need to take it from Vision, and he’d presumably do so by force.
Yes, fans missed some of the finer plot details, like that the Avengers would try to remove it without destroying Vision, or that Wanda would destroy the Mind Stone and end Vision, only for Thanos to turn back time and get the Mind Stone anyway. But still, at the end of the day, fans were absolutely right, and Thanos decimated Vision to take the Mind Stone, the last of the six he needed.
VALKYRIE’S HISTORY
In the comics, Valkyrie is your standard pale, blonde-haired, blue-eyed, Norse woman. When Thor: Ragnarok introduced the MCU’s Valkyrie, she was portrayed by Tessa Thompson, who didn’t match the look at all. Fans theorized that perhaps this wasn’t the Valkyrie from the comics, whose name was Brunhilde, but another Valkyrie entirely. Furthermore, they theorized that the blonde-haired, blue-eyed woman who lays down her life for Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie may have not only been her lover, but she may have also been Brunhilde.
At least some of this has been confirmed by Tessa Thompson herself, who stated definitively that her character was bisexual. The rest may be coincidental, but it would be a cool homage to the comic version of the character if it were also true.
THE QUANTUM REALM
After Scott Lang had his first brush with the Quantum Realm in Ant-Man, fans knew it was only a matter of time before he’d be back in it. Given that the Quantum Realm exists beyond time and space, it only makes sense that you could travel great distances in both in a seemingly short period. Fans theorized that Ant-Man would get Janet out of the Quantum Realm, but that some characters would become stranded, and this would be how they would survive the infamous “snap.”
Ant-Man and the Wasp proved these theories true, with Janet also confirming that time travel was possible in the Quantum Realm. Now fans theorize that the Quantum Realm’s time travel capabilities will be a major factor in the upcoming Avengers 4 movie.
GAMORA’S END
In the Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos stops at nothing to get and keep the Infinity Gems, including disposing Gamora, whose soul is absorbed into the Soul Gem by Adam Warlock. Thus, fans figured that Gamora would meet the same fate in Avengers: Infinity War. While they didn’t know the exact details, fans figured that Thanos would somehow end his adopted daughter.
And of course, he did, sacrificing her so he could gain the Soul Stone. However, this was perhaps his only moment where he showed he was capable of some kind of love. Though some fans may have guessed that it was coming, no one wanted to have guessed right. Still, if her soul is trapped in the Soul Stone, it gives us hope for her and our other favorite heroes.
RAGNAROK
If you know anything about Norse mythology (or Marvel comics), you know that Ragnarok is the end of Asgard and the ultimate destruction of the realm. So, when Thor: Ragnarok was announced, fans assumed that meant ultimate destruction in many ways. It was fair to assume that Asgard would be destroyed in some way, and fans were excited to see it.
Maybe no one quite expected what we got: an ultimate showdown between Surtur and Hela that could only end in the utter annihilation of the home world of Thor and his people. It was tragic, it was astonishing, and it was an epic way to end a rollercoaster ride of a movie. It truly raised the stakes for Marvel in a way that few movies had before, and that was just a taste before Infinity War.
A PLANET HULK MOVIE (SORT OF)
When Hulk decided to fly away at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron, some fans noted that he seemed to be staring at the sky as he looked out of the Quinjet’s cockpit. Not long after, it was revealed that he was going to head to space. Fans put two and two together and hoped this meant they could expect to see some kind of adaptation of the famous “Planet Hulk” storyline. This was seemingly impossible, though, considering that the movie distribution rights for a Hulk-based movie belong to Universal Studios, not Marvel.
Still, fans were right and parts of “Planet Hulk” served as inspiration for Thor: Ragnarok. The gladiator scenes were pulled almost directly out of the comic, for example, and the elements of overthrowing a dictatorship are present as well. It’s not a perfect adaptation, but it’s the best we’re going to get for now.
CIVIL WAR
From the get-go, the Avengers were always an uneasy alliance. They argued more than they worked together in the first movie, almost destroying a helicarrier in the act. By the time the second movie came around, the team was already at odds, particularly after they discovered that Tony was the reason their new foe had been created. Fans saw the writing on the wall and figured it was only a matter of time before some kind of superhuman registration act and superhero civil war akin to that of the comics.
When Captain America: Civil War was announced, fans’ assumptions were confirmed. For some fans, this was a dream come true; others felt that the movie version of events didn’t live up to its comic counterpart.
BANNER, THE HULKBUSTER
Sometimes fan theories come from the strangest of places and in this case, Lego toys spoiled some things. There was a Lego set for Avengers: Infinity Warwhich showed Bruce Banner piloting the Hulkbuster gear, so fans assumed he’d be inside it — and hoped for a scene in which the Hulk busted out of the Hulkbuster. It made some sense: the Hulkbuster gear was a lot of fun, but it made fans question why Bruce might not be hulking out at the time- would he and the Hulk be separated somehow?
While we did get Bruce inside the Hulkbuster, we didin’t get the Hulk busting out of it — maybe that will have to wait for Avengers 4. This isn’t the first time that Legos have spoiled Marvel movies, either, as a Lego set showed fans that Ant-Man would turn into Giant-Man in Captain America: Civil War.
LOKI TRIES TO TRICK THANOS
Loki is the MCU’s iconic trickster. He’s constantly double-crossing everyone, from his parents to his brother to his allies — he is on no one’s side but his own. So, when fans saw his eye on the Tesseract in Thor: Ragnarok, they assumed that he’d grab it, and that Thanos would force him to hand it over. Of course, Loki being Loki, fans assumed he’d have a trick or two up his sleeve and try to end Thanos before giving over the Infinity Stone.
The opening scenes of Avengers: Infinity War proved this theory correct rather rapidly. Loki attempted to stab Thanos with a blade he’d had hidden, and his neck was easily broken by the Mad Titan. While we’re supposed to believe this demise is permanent, fans believe that resurrecting Loki will be a part of Avengers 4.
KILGRAVE’S “RETURN”
Jessica Jones on Netflix was a major hit; here was a superhero with her own solo TV show dealing head on with many mature themes. JJ is a complicated character whose morality and sense of heroism is questionable; she’s doing the right thing, but is she doing it for the right reasons? Part of what made her story work so well was how despicable the villain was.
Kilgrave was a character whose depth was performed perfectly by David Tennant, and so fans were eager to see him make some kind of return, and assumed that he would, since his performance was so well-received. He did return in season two of the show, but not as a living character, just as a flashback in Jessica’s own mind. Still, it’s more of a return than many Marvel villains have gotten.
RETURN OF GENERAL ROSS
When Captain America: Civil Warwas announced, all kinds of theories were shared. Some thought the Thunderbolts would be introduced, with General Thunderbolt Ross at the helm and Abomination as the group’s Hulk. Some thought that the Netflix characters would get pulled into the mix. While not all of the theories were true, the idea that Ross would return was a theory that held more weight than the others.
He did, in fact, return, as someone who was pushing for regulating superhumans. He has since reappeared in Avengers: Infinity War, as well. There’s still been no sign of the Thunderbolts, though, or of Ross becoming Red Hulk, as he does in the comics. There’s still plenty of time, though. Who knows what could happen in Phase Four and beyond?
DOCTOR STRANGE ARRIVES
This started as a small tease in what could have been a throwaway line in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. In it, it’s offhandedly mentioned that Hydra has been tracking anyone that it deems a threat, including Stephen Strange, Tony Stark, and others. At the time, there had been no previous mention of Stephen Strange, and there would be no talks of a movie for some time, yet, so the idea that he did exist in the universe was new. Fans immediately began talking about an upcoming movie featuring Doctor Strange.
Ultimately, Doctor Strange did get his own movie, and went on to play a small role in Thor: Ragnarok, and a much larger role in Avengers: Infinity War. He should be returning for Avengers 4, and it’s believed that there will be a second Doctor Strange movie, as well.
SOMEONE ELSE PICKS UP THOR’S HAMMER
Thor’s hammer is one of those artifacts that presents an impossible challenge, which makes it impossible to resist. If you are “worthy” of the power, you can lift the hammer. What exactly qualifies one as “worthy” in the hammer’s judgment is anyone’s guess, but up to a certain point, only Thor had proven himself worthy, and so only Thor could lift the hammer. Fans figured it was only a matter of time before someone else would pick it up. Theories abounded as to who, as many characters have lifted the hammer before in the comics. Captain America seemed the most likely candidate.
However, in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Cap could only wiggle the hammer. It ended up being the Vision who, unaware of the stipulation, lifted the hammer to hand it to Thor. So, fans had the wrong character, but they were right about someone lifting it.

More Parallels and thoughts on GotG vol 2
- In Vol 1, Rocket wanted ‘That guy’s eye’ for his plan going against Ronan. Pretty sure that was the same prosthetic eye from a Ravager crewmember that Groot collected in Vol 2. Like, 98% Sure it was the same.
- One thing that I loved about Vol 1 was that it was Peter’s mom that was the important grounding factor in his past. A wonderful flip on the ‘Hero’s father/father-son relationship is the basis for their outlook’. I was kinda worried about that changing going into Vol 2. But no. If anything, it was made BETTER. Meredith Quill deserved so much better, but her son does his best to keep her memory alive.
- The slowly mending relationship between Gamora and Nebula. I think this was one of the best depiction of overcoming shared childhood trauma in current pop-culture. The anger, the hurt, it’s all still there for both of them. And while they make a breakthrough with their relationship, it isn’t all sunshine and roses between them straight away. And THEY acknowledge, despite their own lingering guilt, that they know that Thanos was the only one truely to blame.
- Yondu. Oh boy. Plenty of people have already pointed out the parallels of Yondu and Rocket’s stories, or the symmetry of Yondu’s redemption being linked to the reason of his exile. But another thing I noticed was this: during the mutiny, Yondu’s having to watch the mutineers space his loyal crew, expecting to be tossed out with them. Of course, it doesn’t work out that way then. ...But then, while sacrificing himself for Peter... he dies in the same manner as his crew. Just... the symmetry, of Yondu’s final action both redeeming his work for Ego, and symbolically going down with his loyal crew... It hurts. (and is somehow beautiful too)
-OH. That moment just before the main fight when Yondu and Peter are both at the controls of the pod (bickering), just after Peter responds to Rocket with “Oh course I have issues! That’s my freaking father!”... anyone else notice that perfect mirroring of action between Peter and Yondu? Like... just after that comment, the actions speak louder about who Peters actual father figure was.
...And... Drax and Mantis. When Mantis says that Ego found her in a larval stage, who else suspects she wasn’t as ‘orphaned’ as she was led to believe? Anyways, that moment when Drax is saying that she reminds him of his daughter, and the sheer emotion Mantis gets from that moment... I’m betting that it’s the first time Mantis got a true sense of a parent’s love for their child. Ego’s ‘concern over his progeny’ is all about how useful they are. It’s both heartbreaking sad, and amazing motivation for Mantis to abandon ship and help the Guardians, despite her obvious fear of Ego’s power.

Today’s young adult books bring romance, adventure and social commentary. Take a look at our best bets for what to read this June.
A Chorus Rises by Bethany C. Morrow

And only Naema can discover the true purpose of her power, and how to use it.
“A watery and melodic crossroads of the real and the mythic, A Chorus Rises lures readers with its seductive and beautifully Black siren song. An enthralling tale of Black girl magic and searing social commentary ready to rattle the bones.” ―Dhonielle Clayton, New York Times bestselling author of The Belles series

Type: Novel Publisher: Felwel & Friends Release date: June 29
Den of Geek says: Mecha adventure takes the fore in this mix of military intrigue and romance. Mostly we’re intrigued by the world-building, which seems to draw from everything from Pacific Rim to Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Publisher’s summary: We went past praying to deities and started to build them instead...
The shadow of Godolia’s tyrannical rule is spreading, aided by their giant mechanized weapons known as Windups. War and oppression are everyday constants for the people of the Badlands, who live under the thumb of their cruel Godolia overlords.
Eris Shindanai is a Gearbreaker, a brash young rebel who specializes in taking down Windups from the inside. When one of her missions goes awry and she finds herself in a Godolia prison, Eris meets Sona Steelcrest, a cybernetically enhanced Windup pilot. At first Eris sees Sona as her mortal enemy, but Sona has a secret: She has intentionally infiltrated the Windup program to destroy Godolia from within.
As the clock ticks down to their deadliest mission yet, a direct attack to end Godolia’s reign once and for all, Eris and Sona grow closer―as comrades, friends, and perhaps something more…
Buy Gearbreakers by Zoe Hana Mikuta.
Gamora and Nebula: Sisters in Arms by Mackenzie Lee
Type: Novel Publisher: Marvel Press Release date: June 1
Den of Geek says: Lee captures some of the humor and wackiness of Guardians of the Galaxy in a story that is also a heart-wrenching mix of love and rivalry between sisters. While not quite reaching the bombastic heights or distinct character voices of the movies, the book’s attitude and an ending that has lodged itself in my memory put it squarely on the list.
Publisher’s summary: Gamora arrives on Torndune―a once-lush planet that has been strip-mined for the power source beneath its surface―with a mission: collect the heart of the planet.
She doesn’t know who sent her, why they want it, or even what the heart of a planet looks like. But as the right hand and daughter of Thanos, and one of the galaxy’s most legendary warriors, her job is not to ask questions. Her job is to do what she’s told, no matter the cost.
What she doesn’t know is that her sister Nebula is in hot pursuit. Nebula has followed Gamora to Torndune in hopes of claiming the planet’s heart first and shaming her sister as vengeance for the part she played in Nebula losing her arm. While Gamora falls in with a group of miners attempting to overthrow the tyrannical mining corporation that controls their lives, Nebula allies herself with the Universal Church of Truth, whose missionaries wait on every street corner to recruit more followers and tithes for the Matriarch. Both sisters hope their alliance will give them access to one of the massive diggers capable of drilling to the center of the planet.
But the closer they get to the heart of the planet―and to each other―the closer they get to uncovering the truth of what brought them there and the role they may unknowingly be playing in a twisted competition with galactic consequences. A competition they can never win . . . unless they learn to trust each other.
And trust is the biggest lie in the galaxy.
Buy Gamora and Nebula: Sisters in Arms by Mackenzie Lee.

When these two lives collide, everything turns on its head: because Ria and Rani, orphan and royal, are unmistakably identical.
A deal is struck to switch places—but danger lurks in both worlds, and to save their home, thief and princess must work together. Or watch it all fall into ruin.
Buy Sisters of the Snake by Sarena and Sasha Nanua.
This Poison Heart by Kalynn Bayron
Type: Novel Publisher: Bloomsbury YA Release date: June 29
Den of Geek says: That elegant cover is like a flower to a bee, promising something worthwhile inside. The story of a young witch discovering her powers sounds equally elegant and fantastical.
Publisher’s summary: Briseis has a gift: she can grow plants from tiny seeds to rich blooms with a single touch.
When Briseis’s aunt dies and wills her a dilapidated estate in rural New York, Bri and her parents decide to leave Brooklyn behind for the summer.
