okay but how will the holidays go for your skyrim ocs

Tei is most likely gonna be stuck at those boring political parties' majority of the holidays - but when given the time they definitely have a small get together w/ their spouses, kids (well those who attend), and whoever in that follower group they are actually still friends with :)

Mei would head back to Skyrim for a bit to see her family n friends there, probably also bug her good ol' Uncle Nebs if he's still in the province lol. Most likely she n Courron are gonna have a nice lil catch up at Winterhold w/ some warm cider. Non-alcoholic of course, don't want a repeat of the Sanguine situation.

Courron is, well, most likely hanging out with Mei - that or helping set up decorations at the college. Maybe goes to Cyrodiil w/ his dad for a bit.

Otero will be skipping out on holiday festivities and family meetups for reasons he will not disclose thank you very much. Besides, he's very busy. But more than likely Pelath and Serana are going to drag him out of Ft. Dawnguard for a drink or two.

Pelath, if not getting Otero to socialize, is most likely doing his rounds as a Vigilant. Y'know the usual, make sure everyones not getting too rowdy and summoning daedra & such. If you visit the base in Stuhn's Ravine, you can either grab food/clothes for the winter or donate some to those in need! A little tradition there Pel tends to keep.

K'avle might go to a city or two with Varrick to enjoy the stalls and decorations - but honestly? He's old and the cold doesn't agree with his joints. He's just as content prepping for winter with his partner - the two enjoying a warm drink and some laughs.

Alakskfkgk Vyrthaal would be climbing a tree and i Know Serana isn't an OC but she'd still be at the bottom ready to call the fire department. Kili is also at the bottom, cheering him on.

Sethsa would ALSO be climbing a tree and Deathcry grabs Chal to make him call one of th Guild members to help her get down when she inevitably gets stuck and too scared to climb down. Grown ass woman afraid to climb down a tree--

miraak headcanons pt. 1

a little bit of slash but most of these are general also ft. my miraak fucker arpina who you’ll meet in my ~fic~ eventually

- hates seaweed with a fierce passion. literally hates seaweed would rather die than let them touch him. shrieks if you’re swimming and it touches his legs. if you terrorize him badly enough he’ll blast you with a good old fus ro dah while crying inside

- probably hires a bard for them to read for him. like he stills likes reading but if there were audiobooks he would never stop listening to them. likes the story of the last dragonborn specifically to make fun of you.

- clean-freak especially after apocrypha. hates stains, weird smells, and demands cleanliness. all the same, he doesn’t like doing chores to clean. so he just never does anything that leaves a mess, mostly.

- wears the most elaborate shit possible. like no he's touching his old robes that reek of apocrypha but he's keeping that mask and yes he's getting himself flashier robes.

- really likes touching stuff. touching people, touching animals, touching objects, he just likes it man. if ur pocket sized like arpina he can and will carry you. he likes to carry her with her arms pressed to the side so she can't escape without violently kicking him.

- play-fighting. he likes to tussle and likes to spar. total cheater though and uses his dragon shouts like ALL the time its ridiculous.

- on that note he probably uses wuld if he wants to get somewhere fast even if it's 5 feet away. why walk when you can wuld.

- he's a people watcher. he sits down, makes himself comfortable, and just watches. why? he won't divulge the exact reason but you've got a feeling he finds it comforting.

- doesn't like vampires generally. serana is arpina's follower though and he complains a lot but honestly he likes her he thinks she's funny and they talk a fair bit about old magics and whatnot.

- verbally harasses the dragons you fight. you flip a coin on who gets to absorb the soul but sometimes he still steals them so you get mad at him and he half-heartedly apologizes.

5) How were they perceived before their Dragonborn identity became widely known? The new idea is that basically Rowenna was a tool before and after coming into the title. She grew up in the Brotherhood so to peers and higher ups, she was just another cog in the wheel. She was trained to follow orders blindly, not question much, death and destruction was A-OK. She might still??? be the Listener so she went from tool to Useful Tool That Should Be Coveted (and Envied). 

6) How are they perceived by the major villains- Alduin, Harkon, Miraak, etc.? For Alduin and Harkon, not to have them be Loki on main but its very much “an ant has no quarrel with a boot”- they don’t see her as much until it’s too late. Miraak’s the only one that realizes he’s a little too evenly matched before it’s too late to the point where they almost got along before Hermaeus saw to that. 

10. Which factions are they aligned with? Including civil war sides, Thalmor, guilds etc.   She grew up in the Brotherhood until adulthood, got caught up in the arrest and basically skimmed being with the Stormcloaks because Ralof was really the first genuine friend she made but she also tried to steer clear of the war. From there she got swept up into the Companions, they helped her become a better person, and then she fell down a couple of steps on the moral ladder because Brynjolf recruited her for the Thieves Guild, but she adopted that mentioned Robin Hood mentality so she could justify it. She tried to do the Mage College for a bit but it was Too Much for her, and she ain’t touching the Thalmor shit with a 100 ft pole. She toed the Dawnguard line too, but brokered peace between them and Serana and then basically just stole Celann to be her housecarl and never spoke to the rest of them again. 

16) Where did they choose to live and what drew them there? Does it really feel like home? After the arrest the first place she settled was Riverwood because Ralof was there and it felt very homey, and then she was in Riften for a while because it was homey and familiar, and then she was able to build Lakeview Manor around her self-forced retirement because it was close to friends, relatively secluded and the place was gorgeous. 

17) What’s their style- do they tend to wear armour and if so, what sort? Otherwise what’s their average day-to-day clothing? While travelling she switches between Nightingale armor and Ebony Mail, and when she’s just hanging out at home or in a protected city she’ll only ever be seen in Tavern Clothes.

oh my god i forgot that dawnguard has you retrieve the ‘dragon’ elder scroll and do the discerning the transmundane quest if you havent already done it for the main quest. meaning i have two different OCs in need of the same elderly scroll during roughly the same timeframe

either i have imril get to it first and its kind of a wild goose chase for solvej to find its new owner (who will give it over willingly) or solvej has it first and during the events of dawnguard, imril and serana have to jump a now like 9 ft tall argonian dragonborn and steal her elders scroll (or maybe work out a deal)

tbh i’ve not been keeping up with ESO news at all. so here’s my very me-specific thoughts:

if they mention the five nord demons, i’m going to steal a TV from my neighbors and launch myself back into ESO at light speed

if they mention lord harkon, i’m going to smash my ps4 into tiny pieces and eat it over my fat-free strawberry yoghurt

of course the main ‘what if’ i’m holding out on here is: what if WULFHARTH makes an appearance? and, what if almalexia is mentioned?

now i’m sure that neither of those things will happen, despite jorunn being involved and the palace of kings being a place... but, given that i’m a desperate slut for a) almalexia and b) the five nord demons, if either of these things are mentioned, i’ll be reluctantly forced to acknowledge dark heart of skyrim

but i’m sure they won’t, because ESO’s marketing team is staffed by the demon paimon, who acknowledges that skyrim:dawnguard exists and people mostly care about serana. so it’ll probably be an entire DLC of misc vampire shenanigans ft a token appearance by jorunn. which, ah, well.
