It is important that scientists working in chaos theory, biodiversity/Gaia studies, and post-Darwinian evolution acknowledge their genuine affinities with indigenous perspectives.

Christians must not confuse ‘climate change’ with stewardship of the earth. They are not the same thing—not even close. The latter is biblical (Gen. 2:15), whereas the former is pagan (Rom.1:25). The entire climate change movement is grounded in the worship of Gaia (“mother earth”) or what is more technically known as “Gaia Theory” or the “Gaia Hypothesis,” which was first introduced by scientist James Ephraim Lovelock (1919-2022). It is worship of the creation rather than the Creator, which is nothing other than environmental idolatry.

Spectral indicators of living homeostasis.
James Lovelock, the creative soul who is definitely not woo woo, is generally credited with originating the concept of a living planet, Gaia. He also suggested that SETI could be done locally by looking at the spectra of distant planets, when the technology makes it possible becomes available.
With the JWST, the Webb Space Telescope, it is now possible.
Earth, as a living planet, has a homeostasis based mix of atmospheric gasses, which is distinctly different from chemically inert dead planets, such as Mars and Venus. JWST can now look at the spectra of planets hundreds of light tears away. That is significant, to put it mildly. This is a more robust metric than looking for entropic energy signatures, as not all civilizations would be as wasteful as ours currently is.

Energized by the sun. I runThrough fields of lavenderLarkspur and wildflowersKissing tulips, daffodils and irisesI converse with aphids, slugs and snailsGladly, they share tales of the UniverseBy planting my hands in the dirtIn silence, I connect Listening to Mother EarthAnd when the day winds downBefore the moon and stars blanket meI sing praises to the sun Photo by Remi Antunes on Unsplash ©…

There is also little evidence to support the idea that homosexuality operates as a kind of large-scale "population-regulating" mechanism (perhaps the most obvious "function" that would be ascribed to homosexuality in a Gaian interpretation). Nevertheless, one of the fundamental insights of Gaia theory – the value it accords to "paradoxical" phenomena – is directly applicable to homosexuality and transgender.

I started reading braiding sweetgrass (it's amazing!!) and as someone who grew up in a very christian community I really wonder how a person can look at these practices and think of them as evil or wrong, it's crazy to think how detached many of us are from nature....
also if you speak german or french I really recommend this documentary by arte, very interesting and kept reminding me of the book

Indeed, the "mosaic" or mixture of male and female characteristics found in intersexual animals such as gynandromorphs is used by some Gaian theorists as a model of multiplicity within oneness, the transformation of disjuncture into wholeness – in other words, the very image of earth itself.
