Gales Theme (in my headcanon).

A little background on the track, because I feel it is fitting:

A Gallant Gentlemen, the opening track from We Lost The Sea’s third and most adventurous record to date, is a slowly building piece that gives you a just a glimpse of the tumultuous journey to follow. This is the perfect gateway to the heart wrenching ‘Departure Songs.’ The tracks tells the story of Lawrence Oates, an army captain and explorer who walked off into the freezing Antarctic night on a expedition gone wrong, in an attempt to give his life to save the rest of his team. He knew he had become a burden on his friends. He knew their chances of survival would improve without him. So off he walked, alone, into oblivion. An opening track to a record that is steeped so much in the ideas of life, death and hope.

I didn’t know the story behind this track/record, just that I have loved it for ages. Recently, A Gallant Gentleman started making me think of Gale and became his sort of “theme” song in my mind. I find it even more appropriate now.

Gods, that is so cute and so Gale coded. My heart feels so warm.

Gale would probably end up a little distracted, possibly talk about his spouse a bit and get carried away. Gale I-love-my-spouse-so-much-and-I'm-not-ashamed-of-it Dekarios.

I work at a school. Today, one of my coworkers was giving a very serious and official Work Presentation on the smartboard, in front of the entire faculty and staff. Halfway through, he was changing some screens around and landed on his desktop, which was a cute picture of him and his wife. Mid presentation he paused... drew a little heart around his wife's face in the picture on his desktop background... then went right back to talking about testing data.

Tell me that's not Gale-coded af.
