tough pt. 2
summary: you join the Right Arm after leaving your old city and find comfort with Gally
pairing: Gally x Reader
wc: 881
warnings: lots of fluff, angst, mentions of death/killing
a/n: i promised that this one would be more fun and that is only mildly true i’m sorry
Part 1
pt. 2/?
Neither you nor Gally really disclosed your newly found closeness with the rest of the resistance. It was better to keep it quiet anyhow. If anything went wrong your emotions could be a risk. Still, although you considered it to be a bit dramatic, it was better to fight a force like WCKD with feeling and emotion rather than without. While some missions were more difficult, he mostly made you more calculated and deliberate in your actions.
As you calmly sat in the ‘meeting’ room, reviewing stolen blueprints of a new WCKD building, your heart was thudding. The pounding in your ears distracted you from the corridors and elevator access points. It was getting close to dusk and Gally was supposed to be getting back soon. Frustrated and unable to focus you stormed out, ready to return to your room.
Halfway there, your heart quieted at last. He was there with everyone and they all seemed to be in a good mood. The exhausted block of people quickly broke up as the began walking their separate ways. Gally caught your gaze as you strode over.
His smile made him look younger.
“Y/N!”
He caught you fully off-guard when he enveloped you in his arms. You melted into him, relaxing for the first time in hours.
“We’re finished with reporting and debriefing, can we go to one of our rooms?”
The two of you separated slowly as you nodded.
“Yeah, that sounds good.”
You discussed how it went on the short walk back. Everything had gone surprisingly smooth. It was rare to see Gally in a genuinely pleasant mood without any darkness lingering in his eyes.
Shutting the door, you were about to take off your shoes just as he quickly pressed his lips against yours. He pulled away just as soon as you realized what was happening. Giggling awkwardly and out of character you gave him a pat on the back and took your shoes off the rest of the way. You took a deep breath.
“I’m sorry, uh, that isn’t what I meant. I… um that was really nice, we can do that again if you want to. Wow I’m so sorry, you just really took me--”
He cut you off and placed another gentle kiss on the corner of your mouth. You brushed your hands up his back, lacing them around the back of his neck and stood taller in order to kiss him back for yourself.
Both of you were careful and slow in your actions. You weren’t sure if he had ever had anything like this. For you, it had been a while and you realized that you were woefully out of practice. It didn’t seem to matter though. You fit together beautifully and everything from his clenched hand on your waist to your chests pressed together to your short breath colliding with his told you that this was right.
“I’m sorry for not reaching out to you sooner.”
“That’s fine I’m sorry for not getting hurt sooner.” Reaching greedy hands into the back of his shaved head you leaned in again for a singular, passionate kiss. You continued down his neck and to his collarbone. “But really, Gally, please don’t be sorry about that. That sort of thing isn’t anyone’s fault.”
He sighed into your touch, hands resting at the lowest point of your back. You leaned into his touch. With heaving chests pressed against one another, you mumbled your affections to him. You lightly pecked up his neck, reaching his ear.
“You can take off your shoes too if you want.” You said.
Gally bit his lip and gave a small nod to you while he kicked them off.
You pushed him to sit on the low cot and straddled his hips, lips brushing once again.
“I don’t deserve this.” He whispered hoarsely. You searched his eyes, only seeing pain and guilt.
“What? What don’t you deserve?” You held his face in your hands, nearly trembling. It was like a mirror.
“This…” he choked out. “You, care, touch…”
“Love?” You asked gently.
He looked away, sitting up and moving you off of him.
“You don’t understand. You haven’t done bad things.”
“Gally, that’s not true and you do deserve all of those things. If you’re just panicking because you don’t want to be like this, it’s okay we can just be friends if you’re uncomfortable and everyth--”
“No. You don’t understand. I thought I would be fine with all of this and you, but I know that I’m not worth it.”
You sat on your heels behind him, rubbing his tense back.
“Then tell me why you’re not worth it.” You kissed the back of his neck with a sweetness he had never known before.
“I’ve killed people. Innocent. I’m the reason so many people are dead.”
You stopped moving for a moment.
“Is it true that you were in the Maze?”
His chest was heaving now.
“Thought you didn’t like gossip.”
“I don’t. So tell me the whole truth.”
He took a deep breath.
“I promise I won’t hate you and you can’t change how I feel about you, I just want to understand you.”
The shakiness of his body slowed a bit. He took another staggering breath and with that, he began his story.

I’ll carry you home - Newt x Reader x Gally.
I’ll carry you home
Gally x Reader / Newt x Reader.
WARNING : SPOILERS FROM THE DEATH CURE. DON’T READ IF YOU DIDN’T SEE THE MOVIE NOR READ THE BOOK.
Wes Ball answered someone’s question on Twitter : « What happened to Newt’s body ? » « - I always imagined Minho and the rest scooped him up in their arms and brought him to the safe haven where he could be at peace for the rest of their days. »
So I decided I’d write an Imagine in which it happens, because I can’t bear the fact that Newt’s body could have stayed in the Last City, in this completely destroyed place. Because to me, if Wes said he imagined it that way, then, it happened that way.
———-
This last few hours had been extremely stressful for you. You were with Brenda and the boys in the Berg George and Vince had brought. Since you got out of the Maze, Newt and you had developed a strangely close relationship: you did have feelings for him, and he did show you, more than once, that it was the same for him. Unfortunately, before he went with the group in the WCKD building, he explained you that he wasn’t immune. At first, you didn’t understand what it meant. Then, you just burst into tears. Newt was getting sicker as the minutes went by.
You weren’t with them in the building, and it had been now hours since you last saw Newt. You were anxious, you were hoping so badly that you would see him again. But when Minho and Gally appeared on this roof, where the Berg had landed, you started to truly freak out. You ran with them, joined by Brenda, who had the serum, and Fry. You ran like you never did, starting to loose your mind: Newt was in bad shape, if he wasn’t with them. He could be dying right now, and you weren’t with him.
But when you arrived in the building where Thomas and Newt were, you immediately stopped.
Newt was on the ground, a dagger stuck in his chest. His eyes were wide opened, and Thomas was crying, in obvious shock.
“No… No, no, no! Newt!”
You ran to him, kneeling next to Thomas and Newt’s dead body. You cried, cried, and you barely saw Minho and Fry joining you. Thomas got up and left, but once again, you didn’t pay attention to the movements that occurred next to you. Gally came behind you, putting his hand on your shoulder. At first, you wanted to repel him, but he sat there and hold you in his arms. It seemed like everything was quiet. The boys were crying to, but you were the only one who screamed. It just hurt so much. You couldn’t believe this, you couldn’t believe Newt was gone. You couldn’t believe you hadn’t been with him.
Brenda was the only one who managed to pull herself together.
“- Guys, we have to go. Thomas left and I have no idea where he went, but he probably went in the WCKD building. We have to go get him.
- We can’t leave Newt here!”
You raised your head, staring at her, mad at her because she was rushing you all, as if she didn’t realize you just lost your closest friend.
Minho looked at you, wiping his eyes and cheeks.
“- No we can’t, (Y/N). That’s why we’ll be taking Newt with us.”
Slowly, you tried to pull yourself together. You stood straight and leaned over Newt, closing his eyes. You kissed is forehead and stood up. Gally put one of his hands against your back, and he was gently caressing it. Minho and Fry carried Newt’s body all the way to the Berg, and no one spoke.
The journey to the Safe Haven had been pretty long. The boys didn’t say anything, Thomas was unconscious, and you didn’t leave Newt’s side. Sometimes, Gally came to make you sure were well. When you finally arrived, you were the last one inside the Berg. The boys took Newt and made sure he would be buried respectfully. When Gally noticed you didn’t came out of the Berg yet, he came back to you.
“- (Y/N)… You have to get out of here. Have some water, something to eat.
- And how could I?
- I’m here to help you. Minho, Fry, Brenda… We’re all by your side. Please, come with me.”
You looked at him, and then you remembered something. Something you didn’t think about in years. The day you arrived into the Glade. The day you saw Gally for the first time. He had been quite mean with you, he had rushed you to get out of the Box. But you also remembered that as the days went by, you felt something for him. He had something that attracted you. Well, it was before he acted like an ass with Thomas anyway.
And then, you fell in love with Newt. It wasn’t a very strong heart you had in there, wasn’t it? Or maybe the boys you encountered were just too perfect.
“- Gally…”
He turned to you, now facing you. You could see in his eyes that he was broken, too.
“- Gally, I fell in love with you. Before we left the maze, with Thomas and the others.”
He stood there, silent, apparently not understanding what it really meant for him. But you had to tell him what you felt, you had to empty your heart from all these emotions.
“- I… I wanted to tell you, you know. But you acted like an ass, and then we left the maze, you killed Chuck… You have no idea what we’ve been through, before we ran into you again. And you’ve probably been through shitty stuff too. While you got saved by Lawrence, we had to flee from Wicked again. I fell in love with Newt, he did too… But we never had time to really talk about it. And then Teresa betrayed us, we got here… And we found you again.”
You looked at him, waiting for a reaction, an answer, anything.
“- I’m sorry, (Y/N). I never meant to kill Chuck. And I was destroyed when I saw you, leaving me back there, dying. But it’s in the past, right? We gotta think about Newt for now, because he deserves to… No, don’t cry, please, don’t…”
He scratched the back of his head and came in front of you, before holding you in his arms. He gave you a long, warm, reassuring hug.
“- I loved you too, you know. I think that’s why I became such an idiot. I didn’t know how to deal with my feelings, I couldn’t understand what it was, why I felt it. And now, I realize I still have them. Silly, right?”
You didn’t answer, holding him tightly. And after a few minutes, Minho and Fry came back into the Berg, haven’t seen you coming back to them.
“We found something for Newt. Can we do this, all together?”
With a nod, Gally took your hand, and you both went outside with your old friends to say good bye to Newt, The Glue that held you all together.

Hey i love your writting, it's so good🥰 !Gally is so prescious🥺.
I'm not sure if your requests are closed if they are i'm sorry to bother you. If not i wanted to ask you if you could write a Gallyxreader where he is a bit agressive with her but it's because he really likes/loves her but he don't know how to confess or he's afraid of confessing. And then the reader is sad about that and don't understand because she didn't do anything wrong, so she gets closer to one of the boys and Gally start to be really jealous and pissed about it. So he is becoming more agressive. But it end well and they confess to the other and they kiss or something like that ?
Thanks for your time love ya !
Thank you ♥️
See, I don’t really vibe with the idea of Gally ever being downright “aggressive” towards her, but I get the tone you’re hinting at. I’ll add it to my list and see what I can do 😉

Why Are You Staring?
Tumblr media
Requested:  Anonymous said: Yo, will ya write a GallyxReader where Gally knows the readers name the second he sees her, even before she remembers it herself. And then include how their relationship grows with time and maybe how they remember how they knew each other before the maze.
Pairing: Reader X Gally
Word Count: 2,803
Warning: swear words, makeout, drunk
Summary: Gally knows the reader from before the maze and remembers key memories, even knows who she is the second he sees her. Essentially the request.
A/N: So I want to thank you for requesting this. I have no clue if this is what you wanted, but I hope you enjoy it. I am the worst procrastinator so I am so sorry it got out late, but here you goooo. XOXO
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 1:
You wake up drenched in sweat, or maybe water, whatever it is, it made your clothes cling to you. You noticed how the box was moving up at a rapid pace. There was no slowing, only a light at the end that gets bigger the faster you go.
You focus your breathing, trying not to panic as to why you were in a metal death trap or why you couldn’t remember. Either way, you seemed calmer than a normal person would be in this situation. Once you stop to a halt, green fields for miles is all you see. Oh and about fifty or so boys crowding you.
You back up to a corner of the box. Sure you seemed calm, but you were dying on the inside as to why no one said anything or if they did, it wasn’t towards you. Every boy looked at you with curiosity as if they have never seen a girl before. For some of them, that was the case.
“Move you shuckheads,” Gally barked. The sea of boys separated as he made his way to the new greenie. However, Gally did not expect this sight.
His green eyes stare at your E/Y ones with intensity. Everyone halted their hush whisperings as soon as they saw Gally staring at you. His reaction was unreadable and no one wanted to ruin his thought process. No one would dare to go a round with Gally.
Newt and Alby caught up to everyone to question why they weren’t letting the newcomer in but fell silent as soon as Gally jumped down to you.
“Y/N?” Gally whispered as if it was the last time he was ever going to say it. You tilted your head at the boy. Your mind said not to trust him, but your body relaxed as soon as he said your name as if that’s all you needed to calm down.
“Who are you?” You managed to spit out.
Gally offered a hand, “Gally,” and you took it without thought. Gally still continued to stare as you looked nervously at the tall boys. Gally’s brained wracked for reasons as to how or why he recognized you but came up blank.
“Jesus Gally, let the poor girl up,” Alby chuckled. Gally shook his head and put his hands around your waist. You sucked in a breath at the sudden contact. Two boys at the top lent their hands, which you grabbed, and Gally lifted you up as the boys pulled.
Gally climbs out of the box, “Get the supplies,” he orders earing a mall glare from Alby. Gally watches the petrified look on your face as you get used to your surroundings.
You watch the boys jump in the box grabbing the chickens and other supplies that came up with you. Your eyes traveled from tree to tree as if trying to jog your memory, but you came up with nothing. Your eyes land on Gally’s. He was already staring, but you blush and look at Alby.
“Do you know your name?” Alby asks in a gentle voice. You scoff.
“No,” you say, “But he said something.” You point at Gally. Alby cocks his head to the side, staring at Gally.
“I’ll deal with him about it later, it’ll come back to you. I promise, even though it might take a bit. I’m Alby by the way. The British lad is Newt,” he points to the scrawny boy with a limp, “and that’s Gally,” he points to the boy with the intense stare. “Newt will help you get settled and what not, come to me or him if you have problems.” Alby turns off to help the others with the supplies.
Newt comes up to talk to you. Gally glares at Newt for a reason that is unknown to him. He doesn’t dare to move in case you disappear from his sight. It was as if you were a ghost that he could not remember and it was killing him. He hadn’t thought much about what he doesn’t remember. He always pushed them aside, but you came up and it was a puzzle that he was going to figure out.
Day 7:
You still hadn’t remembered your name. You kept going though, and you didn’t mind the nickname greenie. The boys accepted you immediately and put you to work. You became a builder, helping the other boys mend roofs.
Gally was one that you could not figure out. You talked to him when you needed to and that was that, but he would not stop looking at you. Alby has talked to him about when you first arrived but never brought anything up to you. Frankly, it was bothering you as to why he only ever stared, but you kept quiet. You didn’t need to start something that could be so pointless.
Instead, you waited for the bonfire tonight. Fry cooked up a batch of moonshine that he claimed was going to be better than the one he made the night you arrived and you were not going to miss that.
Alby went to Gally, again, to discuss the greenie situation, but Gally wouldn’t open up.
“Gally, how do you know her?” Alby asked for the millionth time.
“I don’t know,” Gally turns to Alby, away from her, but only for a second.
“Come on man, you need to relax, you’re being really protective over her and she is a greenie, you hate all greenie’s,” Alby tried to get his mind off of her. “You’re killing brain cells just looking at her all day. How do you manage to get work done?”
Gally smirks, but then goes to a straight line, “I don’t know Alby, but she needs protection, I know that much for sure.” Alby sighs and wanders off to you. Gally gets back to his work, knowing he will eventually have to talk to you at one point or another.
***
So when Fry meant better, he meant drunker. Your judgment was fogged up and you couldn’t understand what the point of a ground was, but you were having fun. Gally didn’t drink, still staring at you. He leaned against the wall in the tree he was in. You decided to look up and see him. You, being tired of his staring and not talking, went up to him. He noticed how drunk you were and helped you up.
You giggled as he looked extremely concerned. He lets you look around the place that Gally doesn’t let anyone up to. But you didn’t know that.
“Why do you keep staring?” you slur your words. Even though your back was to him, you could still feel his gaze.
“I’m trying to know who you are,” he admitted.
“Good luck Gal-Pal,” you giggle at the sudden nickname. Gally smiled a bit at your drunkenness but frowned when he realized the nickname you gave him. “I don’t even know my name, but you said it, I think, but I don’t remember it.”
You walk towards him, not properly, and trip into his arms. He pulls you close to his chest and that’s when it hit you. It felt as if a wave of ice water was dropped on you. You sobered up, got on your feet, but Gally didn’t let you go. Both of your eyes widen. Both for two separate reasons.
“I remember my name,” you whisper. Your breath hit his lips. His lip curled into a smirk. “How-how did you know my name.”
“Because,” Gally started. “I was your guard, princess.”
Day 30:
Alby heard the news and did nothing with it. He just made a bet with his fellow friends on a time frame. The boys knew of you being a highly protected person before entering the Glade, but they had no idea that Gally and you were best friends.
After that day, you two became inseparable. Wherever you went, he followed without question and vice versa. You guys grew close to each other rapidly the more you tried to remember something.
But all that was given was that you were best friends and that Gally once dared you to dye your hair hot pink to piss off someone.
The boys had a bet that Gally would kiss you next month. However, Alby, Newt, and Frypan bet it would happen within the next week. One week’s worth of hard labor all relies on whether or not Gally would have the balls to admit that he likes you.
You were oblivious to it all. It was painfully obvious to the boys, but they had only known Gally in the Glade. They only knew that Gally didn’t like newcomers. they knew he didn’t smile, laugh, or do anything that wasn’t taken seriously, but around you they saw him smile, light up, and open up. It was a nice change, but if someone brings it up, he would still scare the living shit out of them.
Gally wasn’t telling you something and you knew it. He looked as if he wanted to say something each time you guys talked, but drop out at last minute. You knew he needed time so you didn’t push him, but it was driving you crazy.
That night, you two were swinging in Gally’s hammock. Your head against his chest as you laid completely on him. He had one foot over the edge slightly swaying the both of you. Everyone was asleep and you two were up talking until you guys had no more to talk about for the night.
Gally ran his fingers through your hair, having you moan a little at the wonderful feeling. Gally stopped for a second to look at your sleepy face. You nudged his hand to tell him to keep going. You smiled at Gally being sweet and gentle.
Once Gally thought you were asleep, he started talking.
“I’m going to tell you a story princess. It is the one where we know each other out of the maze. I know I lied to you about knowing anything about it, but I can’t keep it in. We were running through the labs. Well, I didn’t know you were running because I ran into you, but I figured you were. Guards were shouting at me and you both. I stole something, I can’t remember what or why, but I didn’t want to as I stared into your scared eyes. I did something I shouldn’t have done, I lifted you up and took you to run with me, but the guards stopped us. They sent me in solitary confinement for a while. Then I saw your eyes through this slit and you laughed and I knew I was a goner. You would visit me every day until my sentencing. As it turns out, they sentenced me to babysit you, not knowing that you were the one who visited me for weeks.
It was weird because we are the same age, but I got over it quickly as soon as I knew you were just as amazing with me as you were behind a door. You were the daughter of some hotshot scientist, absolutely brilliant though. Your nerdiness was absolutely adorable even when you hated talking about it in front of me. I still loved listening to you even if I didn’t understand. I just loved hearing your voice and how you are so passionate about something. I couldn’t get enough of you, princess. One night, you were having a nightmare and climbed into my bunk with me with all the other boys in the room asleep. You laid on me like you are now and asked me to play with your hair. I did so without question and you did the same exact thing. You moaned, which is absolutely hot and I know you would hit me if you could hear me right now for saying that. But you didn’t notice how red I was. You just pushed yourself closer to me. Your head was buried in my neck and you slept peacefully. Princess, you hated how you looked in the morning, but I had never seen a more beautiful sight than how you were that morning. I always wanted to wake up to that. And every morning I did. You always climbed into my bed and slept with me through the night. That was until we got separated. But I am not going to let that ever happen again. Never, because I love you.”
Day 37:
Newt, Alby, and Frypan’s week was almost up, but they didn’t give up hope. They noticed how different you have been acting with Gally.
You heard him that night, but will never admit it because you weren’t sure how you felt, but the second day, you knew that what you were doing with him was more than just a best friend. You blushed around him. Him calling you ‘princess’ didn’t bug you, but got you more flustered than usual. You knew Gally could tell something was up, but like you, he gave you your time.
However, the boys were growing impatient. They wanted fate to work just a little faster. They didn’t want to go through a week of hard labor.
“Gally!” Alby shouts.
“Y/N!” Newt shouts. You both stop your shameless flirting, unknown to either of you that was what the other was doing, and ran over to the leaders.
“We need a favor,” they both say at the same time, freaking the both of you out.
“What’s up?” You ask them. Gally glared at Newt. Gally told Newt when he was out working and Newt wouldn’t stop bugging him.
“Can you two go out and grab more wood for the fire?” Alby questioned. You both nodded, but it was odd why he didn’t ask any of the scavengers to do it. Still, you both walked into the woods.
After a few hundred yards, you get swooped up into the air trying to grab a log from the ground. You screamed which made Gally sprint to you. You laugh as you see Gally’s panicked face. You were suspended in e net at least fifty feet off the ground.
“Damn,” is all that is heard. Newt and Frypan emerge from behind the tree. “I thought you said it was supposed to get both of them.”
“It was,” Frypan stuttered, “But how was I supposed to know Gally would leave her alone. He follows her everywhere.”
Gally rolls his eyes. He follows the rope to where it’s hooked and gently brings you down. You flipped off the two boys and jumped on Gally to hug him.
“Thank you, my hero,” you wrapped your legs around his waist and your arms around his neck. Gally chuckled in your neck. His hands cradling your ass.
“Anything for you, princess,” Gally smiles. You lean back and stare at him. “Why do you keep staring?” Gally mocks you from the first time you talk to him.
“Because, I am trying to work up the courage,” Gally tilts his head at your response.
“To do what?” Gally questioned, gulping.
“This,” you pull his lips towards yours.
Fireworks is the only thing running through your head. The story Gally had told you made sense now. You remember him telling you, but never the memory itself, but now you remember. You remember your first kiss. This one, however, topped it.
It was a battle between tongues, wolf whistles from unwanted onlookers, and groaning from the both of you wanting to get impossibly closer to each other. Your hands gripped the back of his hair and his one hand moved slowly up your shirt. He pushed you to get you to get closer, but it seemed as if there was no room left. It didn’t stop him though.
Newt and Frypan left you two as soon as they saw Gally pin you against a tree. They both knew you were going to continue whether they were watching or not. And they both knew that Gally would kill them if he found out they watched.
The boys return up to see the others that were in on the bet crowded around them. They all had a smug smirk.
“We won,” they both said.
“Uh, no you didn’t,” Mihno said out of nowhere. Frypan and Newt glared at him. “She kissed him.”
“Wait, so does that mean nobody wins?” one of the boys asked. Everyone looked at Alby for the answer and he shook his head. Frypan and Newt groaned knowing that they weren’t going to get out of work for a week.
Alby chuckled at the boys slumped figures as they retreated back to their posts. Alby left the edge of the woods knowing you two were going to be a bit before you got out of their anytime soon.

Names
The Maze Runner
Pairing: Gally X Reader
Word Count: 1342
Warning: None
Summary: Requested: Yo, could ya do a GallyxReader where Gally knows the readers name the second he looks at her? Maybe ya could include how their relationship grows from this moment and whatever past they may have had together before the maze?
A/N: Okay, this took me ages to write, and at first I didn’t really know where I was going with it but by the end I really liked it. Hope you do too! :)
I wanted to keep screaming, but my throat hurt so much I decided against it. Who knows how long I’ve been stuck in this box, constantly travelling up, but I’ve been awake in it for over an hour and screaming for help the whole time.
I collapsed against the metal fencing of the box’s side, staring into the dim space before me, lit only by the small florescent lights on the side of the chute I’m being taken up. The constant rattling makes me feel sick, and I squeeze my eyes shut, attempting to block it all out.
It was then that the box came to a sudden stop. A grinding sound, like metal rubbing against metal, erupted above my head and bright sunlight flooded the darkness. Squinting, I tried to see up into the outside world, but I could barely make out any details, only a collection of faceless figures staring down at me.
One broke from the crowd, jumping down into the box and squatting in front of me, hand outstretched. I was able to see his face, and it set off a light bulb in my head.
Why do I know that face?
When he first squatted down in front of me, the boy had a sort of grimace on his face and seemed as if he was about to say something. However, a look of recognition replaced the frown as he looked into my eyes, and his previous words were replaced by a name.
(Y/N),” he stated in disbelief. It sounded familiar, and I’m guessing it’s my name. However, a different name flashes through my mind, and I suddenly realise it’s his.
“Gally?” I reply, more of a question than a statement. I don’t know where I am or what’s going on, but I know the boy in front of me. I know his name.
Gally pulls me into a hug, one that I only hesitate for a second before accepting. His arms are tight and strong around my shoulders and his scent is familiar, sending a warm feeling of safety through me.
“Gally? What’s going on?” A voice questions from above, and Gally pulls away enough to answer.
“I know her,” he replies, voice slightly shaking, “I don’t know how, but I do. And she knows me.”
“Why do I know you?” I ask, not so much to Gally but to myself.
“I don’t know, (Y/N),” Gally answered, hand still resting on my shoulder. “But let’s get you out of here and show you around. We’ll figure things out from there.”
“Where am I?” I questioned, watching as Gally stands, extending his hand to me once again.
“Let me show you.” Gally motions for me to take his hand, and slowly I do, slipping my palm against his, letting him pull me to my feet. I wobble slightly, but soon become surefooted again. Gally doesn’t let go of my hand, his fingers loosely linked with mine.
It’s not long until we’re out of the box and I come face to face with a group of about sixty boys. They all look at me in utter disbelief, and I look back in the same way, except my expression is watered down by a lingering fear.
Where in the world am I?
Soon enough, a boy breaks from the crowd, coming to stand in front of me. His face is kind, but firm, and he stands out as a leader.
“Hi, my name’s Alby. Welcome to the Glade.”
I let out a small breath I’d been holding. Beginning to look around, I was able to make out four looming stone walls that boxed us in.
“You’re not the usual kind of person we get coming up in the box, as I’m sure you’ve already realised. We’re all boys here, so, sorry about that.” Alby looked honestly apologetic, although it was clear he had no control over the situation. “But anyway, you still need to have the tour, and as you seem to already know Gally, it might as well be him.”
Looking to Gally, he gave me an encouraging smile.
“Let’s start with showing you around, then we can sort out sleeping and rules and such,” Alby finished, signalling the end of the conversation and the group of boys began to disperse.
“C’mon, greenie,” Gally began walking, motioning with a nod of his head for me to follow. I did so, taking a few quick steps so we walked side by side.
“Greenie?” I questioned, feeling comfortable in Gally’s presence for some reason. Enough to speak, anyway, which was a confidence I didn’t feel when with the others.
“It’s the name we give for the newbies as they usually don’t know they’re name when they come up. Guess that doesn’t really count for you,” he explained, smiling at me again. My heart fluttered in my chest.
“Guess not,” I mumble, giving him a smile of my own.
Gally continued the tour of the Glade, and as time went by, we got more comfortable together. We walked close to each other, shoulders bumping and hands brushing against the other’s on multiple occasions. Gally even took my hand again to stop me from walking in the wrong direction. Our hands lingered, warm fingers intertwining, before slowly slipping apart.
The two of us continued like this as the weeks and months went by. Growing closer each day, we soon became inseparable, joined together by the knowledge of each other’s names before anyone else and the attraction we felt. It was clear there was something between us before the maze, and it wasn’t long before we acted on it.
It was a month since I had arrived, and the night of the new greenie’s bonfire. Me and Gally sat off to the side on a log, empty jars of his drink discarded at our sides as we sat and watched the fire.
“Well, looks like you’re not the greenie anymore, (Y/N/N),” Gally broke the silence, using his nickname for me that had been adopted not long after my arrival.
“Looks like it,” I replied, resting my head on his shoulder. The silence resumed itself as we looked into the flickering flames, enjoying each other’s company.
“What do you think we were before the maze, (Y/N)?” Gally wondered aloud, his eyes not moving from the fire.
“Not as tired. No way would I have done this much work if I didn’t have to,” I replied, making light of the subject.
“No, I mean you and me,” Gally stated, as I heard him swallow. I waited a few seconds before answering, deciding on whether to be bold or not, and choosing to take a chance.
“I was probably in love with you,” I mumbled, almost wishing he hadn’t heard me, but from the way he turned his head to look at me, it was clear Gally did. I turned my head enough so I could look at his face.
“Seriously?” He asked, hope brandished in his eyes.
“Well I am now, so I’d imagine I was before,” I replied, biting my lip as I realised what I’d admitted to.
Gally stayed quiet for a few seconds before a smile crawled onto his lips, making me realise how close our faces were.
“That was really casual. If I knew I could have done it like that, I would have admitted I loved you weeks ago.”
“Wait, you like me too?” I asked in a tone of disbelief, a smile emerging on my lips.
Instead of reply, Gally just leant forward slightly, enough so our lips met in a gentle kiss that I had no idea I wanted so badly until we were midway through. My hand moved to rest on his cheek as I could feel his smile through the kiss, sure he was aware of mine too.
When we broke apart, I was breathless, pretty pleased with how my night was going.
“I’ll take that as a yes,” I stated, a blushing creeping across my cheeks.
“Good idea,” Gally replied, leaning in for another kiss.

I Always Have
*Requested: Gallyxreader imagine that takes place in The Death Cure where Gally cries about killing Chuck, reader comforts him, smut, then Gally confides in reader that he has always loved her. (no smutty details sorry)*
You sat and watched as Gally kept dozing off. Jorge had brought you to see Gally because he knows how much you love him for some reason. You always blamed Newt and Thomas and Minho for secretly telling him that. There’s no other way he would know.
Now you were sat in the living room of his little apartment and you were watching him fall asleep. You had dreamed of this a thousand times, but you never imagined it to be in a situation like this. You had thought Gally was dead, and you had every right to think that. You had cried for days afterward in private, because no matter what anyone said about him killing Chuck, you knew it wasn’t him. You cried for Chuck and you cried for Gally and quite honestly, you cried for yourself. You were in a burnt up world with no one to truly love and that was that. Then you saw Gally again, tall, firm, and inviting. Inviting to you always.
You remembered your days back in the Glade as Gally’s head fell down onto his shoulder as he finally slipped into unconsciousness. You thought about the drinks and the almost-kisses and the way he looked at you when you told him you were leaving the Glade without him. You wished so badly at the time that he would tell you he loved you and that he would come with you, but he was too stubborn to leave and you were too stubborn to stay.
You just watched his peaceful face and you wished you weren’t sitting in a chair separate from him. You wished you were on that couch with him, letting him hold you, your head on his other shoulder. Dreaming about whatever it was that he was dreaming about. Paradise. You and him. Finally happy.
“Chuck!” Gally suddenly yelled and you jumped in surprise. Gally was breathing heavily and sweating, so you decided to rush over and shake him awake.
“Gally, Gally,” you repeated his name over and over until he shuddered awake. You saw his confused look and you tried to smile.
“You’re okay, Gally,” you said and sat down next to him, wrapping your arms around him and rubbing his upper arm.
“I killed him. I killed Chuck. He was so young,” he said, tears finally falling down his cheeks. He wiped at them fervently but you stopped him and took his hands in your own.
“I know you’re upset, but you have to remember that that wasn’t you who killed him. It was WICKED. You and I both know that,” you said and Gally’s tears stopped.
“I know, but I physically did it. This body I’m stuck in, this arm with this hand shot the gun at him,” he said quietly and seemed to suddenly realize your closeness to him, slowly wrapping his arms around your waist.
“We’ll be okay. You didn’t do that to him. WICKED did,” you said again, somehow quieter than before. Gally pulled you in closer so that you were on his lap and you wrapped your arms around his neck.
“It’ll be okay?” he asked and your body felt the chills as his husky voice awakened your senses.
“I know how to make you feel better,” you whispered and leaned in, letting your lips brush his.
“You do?” he asked with a small smile and closed the gap between your lips.
He pushed you down slowly onto your back and took off his shirt. You had always thought about what it would be like to have Gally hovering about you like this, shirtless, and suddenly you weren’t dreaming it and you felt nervous and excited. He took your shirt off gently and you closed your eyes for a second, just taking in how much love you felt for this boy and how much love you felt from him.
“Y/N,” he whispered as he kissed your jawline.
“Hm?” you asked, your eyes still closed.
“I love you. I always have. And I want you to be mine. When we get to Paradise and we can finally do what we want freely, I want you to be my wife. I want to spend every waking moment with you, so I can do this with you everyday,” he said and slid down your pants.
“Of course I’ll be your wife. I’ve been waiting for you to ask me that since the day we met,” you said and let him kiss you, over and over.

Resilient.
That was the first word he thought when he saw you for the first time. There weren’t many others his age here and although he remembered some things from before the Maze, he couldn’t remember anyone like you. Or the feeling he got when he was near you.
Stories spread like wildfire about your past. He listened to all of them but never spread one himself. He was just curious. It was difficult to approach you with the stern and hard look that never left your eyes. Difficult, but not impossible.
It came with living out in the Scorch for so long. Living was the wrong word for it really. You had just been surviving. At first, you thought that you were brave but soon enough you realized that you were a fool. The Right Arm in your city had been decimated. You had to go somewhere safer. Maybe it was cowardice, but you knew your life there was over. The city was almost gone as it was and you had tried recruiting but it only led to more danger and suffering.  When you left you felt as if there was nothing left for you to lose. That made you all the more foolishly brazen in your actions. Still, somehow you had made it to the city.
Compassion.
This was the first word you thought when you looked into Gally’s eyes.
He had given you the tour when you first arrived and from then on you were always teamed with him on missions. Outside of missions you never saw him. You had few friends within the Right Arm, but most people were either far too busy or private or afraid to build close relationships with. Not that you were excluding yourself from any of those groups.
It was much easier to put your life on the line when no one was going to miss you. But then if you had no one, then there was no reason to fight. It was a difficult line to straddle. And one that you did not straddle well.
Until you got hurt.
It really took the most dramatic situations to make people act. You had been shot a couple of times. None of them were fatal or really even life-threatening, but there was a good amount of blood. Gally had kept his jaw clenched since the first bullet ripped over your arm. He helped to drag you along through the alleyways and tunnels back to the base in silence.
He sat by you as the medic laced your arms and side up. The chunk of your ear that was missing was bound up with gauze and padding. He held your hand as your shoulder was put back into place. At the end of it all, he stood with you as you slowly walked back to your room.
“There’s a lot of stories about you, ya know?”
Gally finally spoke as you began to walk down the hallway. Although it wasn’t exactly the words you had wanted or expected.
“Well that’s uh… um, I’m sure. There’s a lot of stories about everyone here.”
“None of them are bad.”
“I wouldn’t think so. Everyone here has more important priorities than gossip. So what’s your favorite one?”
“My favorite what?” He just barely cracked a smile. That was something new between the two of you.
“What is your favorite story about me or about yourself?”
Gally bit his lip to stop from grinning.
“My favorite is whatever you tell me.”
“And about yourself?” You asked.
“The truth.” He said, suddenly a little more rigid.
“I was with the Right Arm in a smaller city. WCKD ruined us, took everyone out. I was the only one who was alive and still with the resistance. Some people left to stay alive and I don’t blame them. I left and I managed through the desert and now I’m here. There’s a lot of other details, but you don’t need to hear about me giving up and crying a lot.” You sucked on your teeth, trying to pull back from oversharing.
“I wouldn’t mind that.” His voice was barely above a whisper. He cleared his throat awkwardly soon after speaking.
“Why haven’t we ever talked?”
You didn’t necessarily mean it as a question, but he answered anyway.
“It’s easier to avoid people than to end up caring about them.”
“But it’s lonely.”
He scoffed.
“I don’t see you spending your free time trying to make friends.”
“No, I’ve been a little slow at that. Not that it’s an excuse, but it’s difficult when you’ve had one family die or abandon you. I’m not really any better since I just left without even really trying hard to reform the group. And a lot of alone time in the Scorch made me different. I don’t know if it was in a bad way or not yet. I don’t know if I want more people to care about.”
“Listen, I… I understand and I didn’t mean you had to or I dunno. But I really do understand, my life before the Right Arm was… similar. And for what it’s worth, I like who you are now.” He paused as you turned the corner to your door. Opening it up you leaned in the doorframe, inviting him inside with the wave of your hand. “If you’re lonely you can talk to me.”
A bit unsure, he walked through the doorway and into your small living space.
Smiling sadly you let the door lightly shut behind you and grabbed your canteen from the bed. The medic had given you some water, but not nearly enough. Or maybe you were just nervous around Gally.
You hadn’t met many others your age, but he was here and he was so understanding and kind. He was strong on the inside in a way you couldn’t fathom and so self-sacrificing and unwavering. More importantly, he was compassionate to you. He really truly listened to what you had been saying. And he understood. He really, truly understood. You had heard his own stories about the Maze and his near-death and WCKD. Not that you would press him.
Suddenly he was standing very close to you. Out of a need for touch or desire, you laced your arms around his waist, lightly embracing him. He quickly held you in his arms as well, pulling you closer.
“Thank you, Gally.”
You leaned away from him, only acting on instinct, and you gave him a soft peck on the cheek before leaning back into his chest. He rubbed your back gently, cradling the back of your head.
“We don’t have to be lonely.” He said quietly.

Note
Yo, could ya do a GallyxReader where Gally knows the readers name the second he looks at her? Maybe ya could include how their relationship grows from this moment and whatever past they may have had together before the maze?
Sure! I won’t have finished it for a while as I have a lot of requests to do but I will get to it eventually!
