Two of my favourite helpers, Sara and Vittorio, came back for an afternoon of sowing seeds and moving stuff around in the garden. Homegrown tomatoes are 💯 better than store bought. This year I’m keeping our garden small since we signed up for a CSA. I’m still going to grow tomatoes at home though. What inspired you? #gardeninspiration My Grandmother inspired me to garden. #COVID19 has made me think of my grandmother daily as I know this virus could take her out of my life. I have witnessed friends losing their grandparents and am heartbroken for the way this virus takes loved ones and then the ceremonies to help us mourn. I know I bring alot back to the garden but I can hear her smile when I tell her what I am growing and listen to her remind me of the same garden tricks she has told me time and time again. I dip my hands in the earth with ease to weed and plant and I know it's from being her "helper" on so many afternoons. This world changes daily and the anxiety of not knowing brings me to my garden regularly as a place for mental help and regrouping. I tried to post the photo of just the two earlier but Tumblr glitched on me (as it often does) but anyway...

I finally started my zen garden and I'm loving it so far. I have a few things I want to add but overall it's very happy-making.

For anyone who cares about the Bonsai (which I'm pretty sure is no one) I'm certain mine is dead after seeing live ones at the store.

I also bought some bamboo and will post that later. And some Aloe Vera that I'm going to put in its own mini zen garden. 💚
