But for whatever reason, you’re still not attracting the kind of clients you know you deserve.
Instead of referrals and recurring contracts, you’re chasing leads who second-guess your prices or ghost you after the discovery call.
And the unfortunate truth of this is that it’s not about how hard you work – it’s about how clearly and confidently you show up as the expert your ideal clients are searching for.
So, if you’re struggling to attract better clients, but you don’t want to add anything to your to-do list, I want to introduce you to a smarter, easier way to connect with your ideal clientele that doesn’t require you to take on anything extra.
What it Means to Attract Better Clients
When I talk about “better clients”, this isn’t just code for clients who pay more.
I know, as business owners, we tend to focus a lot on pricing, but the truth is there’s a ton of different qualities that can make for better clients. This includes things like:
Clients who energize you, instead of draining you
People who respect your time and show up prepared
Clients who trust your expertise and don’t micromanage
Buyers who see your value – and don’t question your rates
These are the kinds of clients who will help you build a sustainable, profitable, fulfilling business.
And the only way to attract them consistently is by getting your brand to do the heavy lifting.
Why You’re Working Too Hard to Get the Wrong Clients
If you’re exhausted by your marketing efforts, you’re probably trying to fix poor positioning with more visibility.
I notice a lot of business owners doing this sort of thing, which may include:
Constantly updating your offers to chase trends
Accepting misaligned clients just to keep the pipeline full
Posting more on social media hoping something will stick
Lowering your rates or overdelivering out of fear of losing the sale
No doubt, these short-term strategies are bound to keep you busy, but the problem is they’ll rarely attract high-quality clients.
So, if you want to attract better clients, what you’re going to need is greater clarity, consistency, and confidence in your brand’s message.
Step 1: Get Clear on Who You Want to Attract
Too many business owners say things like, “I’ll work with anyone who needs my services.”
And while this may seem logical, the truth is it’s the fastest way to blend in – and burn out.
Your dream clients should be specifically interested in the value you provide, so they can’t be just anyone. They need to be people with specific issues that you can solve, like:
The health coach whose referrals have dried up
The HR firm that’s overwhelmed by marketing decisions that don’t convert
The consultant making six figures who’s been stuck at the same income level for years
What I’m getting at here is that if you want to attract better clients, you’re going to have to start by defining who they are, and what it is that actually makes them better.
In doing so, you should ask yourself these kinds of questions:
Who was a joy to work with?
Who are the clients that got the best results with me?
What frustrations were they dealing with when they came to me?
Step 2: Show Them You Understand Their Pain
Believe it or not, better clients aren’t searching for generic service providers.
They’re searching for someone who gets them, and someone who already understands the challenges they’re facing.
For example, if you’re a health coach, your clients may not be looking for “health coaching”.
Instead, they’re more likely to be searching for something like “how to lose belly fat” or “why my energy has tanked”.
In any case, you should focus on their problem, not your products or processes.
Try to get inside your clients’ heads and understand the challenges they’re dealing with. Use their language, mirror their thoughts, and speak directly to the emotions behind their search.
Because when your branding sounds like it came from inside their head, you’ll build instant trust.
Step 3: Position Yourself as the Only Option
Better clients don’t hire based on price. They hire based on clarity and connection.
They want the specialist, the expert, or the trusted advisor, and that means your brand needs to expertly communicate:
Relevance (You serve people exactly like them)
Authority (You’ve done this before, and you’ve done it well)
Transformation (You solve the root of their problem, not just the surface symptom)
Your job is not to convince. It’s to make it obvious that you are the right choice.
In any case, if you’re still competing on price or overwhelmed by low-quality leads, your brand positioning needs a serious upgrade.

More options don’t create more conversions. They create more confusion.

The best brand positioning happens when your offers are easy to understand, aligned with a specific result, and priced in a way that signals quality and confidence.
So, if you’re finding it tough to attract better clients, or people are complaining that your offers are too convoluted, you should ask yourself:
Are my offers framed around outcomes, not hours?
Is there a clear next step for every stage of the process?
Could a new visitor describe what I do in one sentence?
Because when your offers are clear and focused, you’ll make it easy for the right clients to say yes.
Step 5: Use Social Proof Strategically
Better clients look for validation before they commit to giving you their business, as they want to see that others like them have succeeded by working with you.
But social proof doesn’t just include testimonials, and you should also consider:
Case studies
Screenshots of client wins
Before/after transformations
How you talk about past clients in your content
Whatever you choose to do, every time you share a story of a real result, you show future clients what’s possible for them, too.
And this helps to build trust, credibility, and emotional connection.
Step 6: Stop Hiding Your Expertise
A lot of entrepreneurs with real talent tend to water themselves down online.
There are many reasons for this, and at times, I’ve even felt the pressure to do this myself.
I can’t speak for everyone, but in a lot of cases, people do this because they’re scared of things like sounding too confident, being visible enough to be judged, or repelling people with strong opinions.
But better clients are attracted to confidence, and they want to know you have a clear point of view.
So, instead of playing it safe like this, it’s probably a better idea to do things like:
Explain your process
Share your frameworks
Take a stand on what doesn’t work in your industry
And when you differentiate yourself in this way, that’s how you go from invisible to irresistible.
Step 7: Stop Doing It All Yourself
In my experience, one of the most common blocks to attracting better clients is trying to be your own marketer.
You’re the expert in your field, but you shouldn’t also have to be the branding expert, the copywriter, the designer, and the strategist.
Smart entrepreneurs know when to delegate, and that’s because they understand the importance of letting go of the DIY mindset and investing in clarity – clarity in your brand, your message, your website, and your offers.
When those pieces are aligned and consistent, better clients will come to you, without the grind.
Step 8: Build a Marketing System That Works While You Rest
If you want to attract better clients, it’s not about doing more – it’s about setting up systems that consistently speak for you. That might include:
A lead magnet that filters out non-ideal clients
Weekly content that positions you as an expert
A brand-driven website that turns visitors into inquiries
An email sequence that nurtures and educates your audience
But this doesn’t mean you need to be online 24/7. It means creating intentional assets that do the work for you, day and night.
And when your marketing system is built to attract the right people, you’ll no longer have to chase after leads because they’ll find you.

Knowing who your ideal clients are

Speaking their language and showing them the transformation
And when it all clicks?
You’re no longer stuck in feast-or-famine mode, you’ll consistently attract the right clients at the right price, and you’ll feel energized, respected, and aligned.

Was thinking about how even though ART threatened its life and terrified it the literal first time they met and even so ART is its best friend while gurathin is clearly cared about but will always get the label of “the client that murderbot Doesn’t Like” in a way that just feels different to me
And I genuinely don’t remember but… did gurathin ever apologize to murderbot??
Not for being suspicious or careful or whatever, but the way ART did. Bc in their first interaction, ART apologized not for threatening it, but for scaring it
Acknowledging that it has feelings and that ART’s actions had consequences that directly affected the wellbeing of murderbot and that murderbot had valid reasons for “sulking” or not wanting to engage with ART in that moment. Because ART scared it.
I think that waking up hurt and vulnerable and finding out that someone you didn’t trust dug inside your mind and dragged out your biggest secrets that, if known, you are certain will directly lead to your death. Well. I just think that would be incredibly scary is all

Hello! Could I ask how many chapters does the jp server currently have? I believe you're at the 12th part but I'm not sure. Part 7 came out in the eng server and the measly 16 chapters with no chapters within chapters destroyed me, so I'm trying to estimate how many we'll get when parts come out
yep, we're in the middle of 7-12 right now! they started splitting them up further starting with 11, so we got chapter 11 part 1, then chapter 11 part 2, and we're due chapter 12 part 2 (and maybe 3?) later this month. we've been getting them more regularly though, so it seems like they're switching to smaller but more frequent story drops!
I think Eng is following the same chapter breakdown as JP for these ones, and they've mostly been a decent length each IMO -- 9 was on the short side (two-person dorms go by so fast...) but we're getting nice little wrap-ups to the characters' arcs so I personally haven't felt, like, shortchanged or anything so far! it is SUPER hard being patient though (I'm lucky enough to be able to play it immediately and I'm still dying over here), so. ...I'm hoping the smaller drops help with that. :')

chapter 8 - 117-139
chapter 9 - 140-157
chapter 10 - 158-191
chapter 11 - 192-211 (part 1) / 212-226 (part 2)

I’ve seen critique of the way show!murderbot said it felt good after killing leebeebee (thank goodness, I really disliked her - though at the same time I actually think that it’s interesting for the preservation team to have someone very blatantly objectify murderbot right in front of them and show them how other humans likely treated it)
but,, I didn’t really read it as it feeling good about killing someone so much as feeling good that it has made the team realize that it isn’t some little robot that wants to be human, and it doesn’t want to be assimilated into their group because it isn’t human. It’s a construct. They cannot and should not assume that it wants to be like them - it shouldn’t have to change or be human to be accepted
So I thought it was more of a “it feels good that this is making them rethink their little uwu poor little meow meow narrative when that’s kind of condescending and I am way more familiar with how fucked up my situation is than they are?”

here's something else I thought up with the other day,, Dazai eventually does realize that Kunikida isn't used to behaviors that come with being winged and eventually somewhat uses it to his advantage.
Winged individuals, when feeling threatened, often times flare their wings, spreading out their feathers to expand their wingspan and sort subtlety intimidate the other and say "back off" or to signal possession or they need space.
This is definitely a behavior Dazai does to intimidate not only enemies but also to ppl he sees getting too close to his partner, as a way to ward them off without the other being aware of how clingy and jealous he gets eheh
