🧠? for the fanfic ask game

🧠 What’s an idea you have that you can’t quite call a WIP yet?

OUGH definitely the kon & clark-centric hurt/comfort re: kon's medical trauma one. ft. background core four and also cassie & kon agonies. i.e. kon gets hurt badly enough to need emergency surgery, like theres a kryptonite shard or smth embedded deep in there, so they get him to a star labs medical facility but he's real out of it and the setting makes him PANIC. to the point that cassie has to hold him down with her lasso so that he doesn't put a doctor through a wall. but he's screaming for kal to save him because he knows kal, superman, his hero, won't let them do all this to him again, and of course clark shows up because that's his little guy screaming in terror and begging him to save him, there is no force on earth that could keep him away. and there's a lot of Feelings bc they're family and clark is so struck to the heart by how kon may have grown up and may be independent but still looks to him for safety when he's vulnerable and frightened. it is, as ever, about the hurt/comfort. and also the sacred Familial Forehead Touch. one of these days i may even actually write it.

OKAY HERE IS MY HONEST REVIEW OF SAW THE MUSICAL:

ok so first of all it was at 11 pm which meant i was wading through times square while people were making a mass exodus from various broadway musicals. moulin rouge was particularly slow! but once i got there it was a very charming small theatre. they were selling these shirts

they didn't pull out the kissing one until after the show, btw, but from the fingering the bullethole one you knew exactly what kind of show this was going to be.

they started the show 10 minutes after 11, and with a little number by billy the puppet himself. they did the cheesy little *SCARY DEEP VOICE* *cough cough* *Regular normal voice* "That's better!"

it was very much a comedy focused show, there were admittedly a few jokes that fell flat then jokes that they kept bringing back. adam was inexplicably eating a turkey sandwich throughout the show. also they were both really obsessed with applebee's. like a whole song number and a reprise. they seemed to think dropping brand names was its own kind of humor.

they were really in on characterizing adam as a "pathetic whore" and lawrence as a "horny heartless doctor." lawrence cared way more about his ties and furniture than his wife and daughter.

the musical numbers were cool, i liked "oncology guy" and the opening one "wrong time wrong place." but if lawrence gets a whole number about being a cancer doctor i think adam should get a number about being a stalker photographer!!! please there's so much potential for that!!! if this was a jukebox musical this is when Paparazzi by Lady Gaga would be playing.

it was extremely gay in a way that was bordering on homophobic, but yknow, i liked it. in my humble opinion i think there actually could have been room for more serious moments that the show seemed afraid to ever entertain, but that's just my feelings.

the medical student gordon has an affair with is played by a blowup sex toy 😭

they gave amanda young two numbers that i feel like could have been merged into one? idk i feel like the number about being your heroine belonged in a different show or could have been more connected with the second song she sang which fit better into the musical as a whole.

but yeah those are just my initial thoughts! i enjoyed it tho so you should go see it if you can!! thanks for reading!

fridges: they are so useful can you imagine using literal iceboxes. like i guess i could. but. the magic of having a little box in your house to keep things cold and or also frozen. so true. i have a mini one that i took to college and would cover in magnets. my friends took to stealing magnets from around campus to put on the Illegal Magnet Fridge

I genuinely don’t know! I went to check my files to see if one was more common but it seems pretty even between left and right. I think it’s easier for me to draw someone facing left? What I can say is that it is hardest to draw people facing forward for me, ough

I usually listen to video essays! Or sometimes gaming videos. I can’t listen to (most) music while I do things, it’s too distracting for me :( Same with podcasts unfortunately, unless there’s also a video element :(( When I’m writing, though, I like to listen to soundtracks! Usually Stardew Valley stuff <3

why are legolas' eyebrows not the same color as his hair

Ok, but don't blonde haired people have brown eyebrows? Isn't that a normal thing? Don't hate on my boy, ok? But I will say I think it's funny that he doesn't have consistent eye color in the movies, considering they were on a budget and so some scenes had Orlando's natural brown eyes, and then others are like BAM! BLUE CONTACTS LETS GOOOO I just thought that was really funny. But uh to answer your question, that's just how he naturally is.
