Tommy had managed to slip away from the campsite while Dream was out doing something. He ran and he ran as far away as he could, up into the nearby mountains. The cold bit at his extremities through his lackluster clothing. He thought for sure he was going to die out here (not that that would be worse than his current situation in exile) until he came across Technoblade’s cabin in the woods. He had been over once or twice with Ghostbur, but he had been too scared to come back after almost getting caught by Dream.

He found his way in through an open window, proceeding to ransack the kitchen for any food he could find. He had almost forgotten what proper food was like. Tom had made his way through several pieces of golden apple pie and half a steak when he heard footsteps coming. He quickly looked for a place to hide, opting for the space underneath the sink. Just as he settled in to his hiding spot, Technoblade came in with Dream following close behind.

”Technoblade, L’Manberg is a problem and you know it! They tried to kill you, they exiled poor Tommy. He’s starving alone in the woods because of them.” Dream said, clearly trying to manipulate Techno.

Tommy practically growled from how angry that made him. How could that monster pretend to care about him.

”I know, I want it gone too Dream, but think of the people livin’ there. This isn’t like most empires Dream, they’re my family.”

“And they’ve turned against you, if we don’t act now they might even turn Phil against you! We need to burn that place to the ground before we lose our chance.”

Technoblade paused at that. Of course Dream had to drag Philza into this. He knew that out of everyone he could use to manipulate Techno, it was his best friend.

“Fine,” Techno began, “Go find Phil, we’ll attack at dawn.” Technoblade walked out the back door, heading off into the woods. Dream left not long after.

Tommy sat there for a moment, dozens of questions swirling in his head. Why is Dream here? Why is Techno working with him? What does Phil have to do with this. They’re going to attack L’Manberg?- they’re going to attack L’Manberg. The realization hit Tommy like a truck. The blonde scrambled out from under the sink and made his way outside, stealing one of Technoblade’s horses before galloping off in the direction of L’Manberg. Coming back now would mean a sentence in Pandora’s Vault but that didn’t matter right now. He had to warn them, he had to.

It was a normal morning in L’Manberg, the sun was just below the horizon, staining the dark sky with a faint orange to the east. President Tubbo stared out over the city from his bedroom window, watching as dark clouds loomed in the distance. It was going to storm later today. Ranboo slept soundly on the bed behind the president, a pillow carefully nestled in his arms so he wouldn’t realize their lover had gotten up. Tubbo had just turned away from the glass when he suddenly heard shouting in the distance. He turned back just in time to see a cremello horse rear up on its hind legs in the center of down, a familiar figure sitting atop its back.

Town square was crowded and full of people murmuring to one another when the president arrived. Quackity pushed people aside to clear a path for Tubbo so he could see what all the commotion is about. In the very center of town, struggling against the grips of two police officers, was Tommyinnit. Just off to the side, Ghostbur was trying to calm the stolen horse that had been spooked by the police. 

“TOM SIMONS INNIT!” Tubbo shouted over the commotion, anger clear in his tone. 

Everything stopped. Tommy looked up at his childhood friend like a deer in headlights. “Oh Tubbo! This is perfect! I need to talk to you, Dream, Techno, and Phil ar-“

“You have a lot of nerve coming back here Tommy. After what you did I ought to-“

“Well technically I didn’t do shit, Dream frame- actually that’s not important right now! Tubbo listen to me, we need to evacuate the city, Dream and Techno are about to-“

Tommy stopped mid sentence as the sound of an approaching aircraft filled the air. The crowd gathered in the center of town all turned to the north just in time to see a wall of withers, wolves, and other creatures too horrible to describe approaching from the ground and a single fighter plane approaching from the sky. Then the first bomb was dropped.

The commotion lasted no more than an hour. Houses burned; women and children cried out in terror and the men cried with them; grass was reduced to dirt, dirt reduced to stone, stone reduced to bedrock. When it was all over, half the capital was on fire and the other half was blown to kingdom come. 

Tommy frantically searched through the wreckage, calling out for Tubbo, for Quackity, for anyone. After minutes of wandering through smoldering rubble Tommy finally saw someone, breaking into a sprint to reach them.

“Ghostbur! Oh my god you’re ok I- … Ghostbur?”

It was quiet once more in L’Manberg, the only sounds being that of crackling fire and faint sobs. Ghostbur stood in the remains of Philza’s home, looking down at the worst sight he could possibly imagine. Friend, wool patchy and stained black with char, lying motionlessly on his side. He was dead. The ghost dropped to his knees and began to sob.

I'm curious about the different takes people have on how people act around C! Ghostbur. Because after reading a lot of fanfics that involve the canon plot, I've been thinking about the different interpretations of how people treated and felt about C! Ghostbur, mostly Tommy. Some people portrayed it where Tommy didn't know how to feel about Ghostbur because he missed Wilbur too much and Ghostbur's very different to Wilbur so that didn't really make Tommy miss Wilbur any less. Sometimes Tommy would think of Ghostbur as a shell of Wilbur rather than an actual person. Other times Tommy genuinely really cared about Ghostbur and appreciated him since Wilbur wasn't great before his death and even after Wilbur was revived, he still missed Ghostbur since at least Ghostbur was more positive and friendly. I really like Ghostbur so I like to imagine Tommy genuinely caring about Ghostbur and still considering him his brother despite Tommy not thinking of Ghostbur and Wilbur being the same person. I also think about Tommy's reaction to Ghostbur being in danger and actually dying. But I do still get the other interpretations of Tommy's thoughts towards Ghostbur.

Hiya :) I've been getting into DSMP animatics, and I love seeing the different interpretations of the character designs even though I only have a vague sense of the lore so far. It's all got cool vibes!! Can I request a drawing of Ranboo or Wilbur, or maybe even both? I'm not sure if they actually ever interact in the story or not, but I'd say interpret the prompt however you want and have fun??

yea for sure!! honestly it's a big factor of how i personally interpret their relationship. i don't have the vods on hand so this is gonna need an element of "trust me bro" but it's there

i think wilbur and niki were very good friends, but there were fundamental things to how they each operate that the other never really... grasped? it's something that isn't always explicitly said in canon, but always stands out to me. some parts aren't exclusive to just them, but it forms this broader pattern that spans them from day 1 to the end of the server.

the starting key to all this is the manberg-pogtopia era - wilbur is exiled, niki offers help, and he asks her to stay. there's a really telling interaction imo when wilbur and tommy are scampering around manberg (i think they were stealing supplies iirc?) and wilbur and niki have a conversation over in-game chat. wilbur asks niki to stay in manberg, and niki responds in-chat that she will, but she's visibly upset by the response and mumbles as such to herself afterwards. and after that, wilbur kind of falls into a mental pit, and he stops considering niki's safety in manberg until she is literally about to die right in front of him. and then he doesn't explain the "let's blow up manberg" plan at all, so niki is left with the realisation that wilbur tried to blow up manberg, presumably with her in it, without knowing just how quickly he sabotaged his own plan to save one of her lives...

and on niki's side, she's in the same box as everyone else when it comes to not understanding wilbur's issues in pogtopia. she agrees with fundy on nov 16 that wilbur has changed, and he's not the same wilbur from l'manberg anymore - she's still loyal to him, but she (like everyone else) doesn't really piece together that wilbur is suffering from mental problems that have spanned back to the presidency. he's just changed. he's not the same wilbur who was her friend (even if she still looks out for him the same way).

then when niki unearths the TNT underneath the presidential podium, she doesn't say anything or actively try to seek wilbur out (although they were all pretty quickly distracted by techno) - she trusts him, but she doesn't understand that wilbur has been giving off suicidal red flags all day (two of them explicitly onscreen, towards her - leading her to mushroom and giving her the blue, and arguably whatever happened with that coat offscreen) and that wilbur going missing right as she discovers the TNT is there and ready to blow is a massive, massive danger sign. and i mean, why would she. like everyone else, she thought that they won and that there was no reason why wilbur would want to destroy the place anymore. she didn't get quite how far he had spiraled.

it's that seed of misunderstanding that lets niki's feelings fester from doomsday onward. wilbur didn't kill himself, he abandoned her. it wasn't because he was dealing with suicidality, paranoia, delusions and pretty steep mood changes, it was because he actually never cared about her or anyone and all he cares about is chaos and destruction and he always thought she was a stupid, foolish dog at his heel. ghostbur's existence is an offence that tips her entire perception of what is real and what isn't. and when the target of niki's anger - tommy - is killed and revived, she has to shift all that unresolved grief and anger and misunderstanding onto the specter of wilbur.

starting to get into more fanon territory, i think wilbur puts niki on a bit of a pedestal. pre-death, even pre-spiral, the thought that she may struggle in manberg - that she's physically safe (which let's be honest, she was not) and that she will be fine - doesn't even cross his mind. despite being good friends, he never goes to her with his stress and worries as president. post-revival, he hems and haws over his apology to her for weeks before he makes it, and ironically he's been out of her life for so long that he doesn't even know she tried to murder his little brother. niki is a bit more proactive, but she doesn't understand wilbur's nature - largely, she doesn't understand his struggles with mental health (and he never shared them before pogtopia, and in pogtopia he was a whole other kettle of fish, so why would she?) and how it influences his behaviour. wilbur does a lot of shitty things, he does a lot of scheming, but he's never directly trying to fuck her over in the way she comes to believe he did. she was collateral. and that is it's own kind of pain, but it's not the mustache-twirling kind of disdain that she seems to think he had for her at doomsday and when she responds to news of his revival.

anyway. i think that wilbur's apology to her stripped back some of those misunderstandings between them (esp because niki had gone through her own mental health gauntlet by then, and come out with a stronger support network for it), but it was moreso about re-establishing that despite everything else, they still care for one another and that's what important.

Here, Ghosie doesn't remmeber his own alive name, he didnt remmeber anything from his alive years, at least not much, sometimes he dreamt about it or found old blue scars on his body and got a little flashback before remembering cuz ghost doesn't really remember sad moment.

How did Ghostie die?

Well, simply said, he took his own life.

Ghostie hadn't had a lucky life, his parents being out of the picture and that caused him to hang around the wrong people till he got older and realised how meaningless everything was..

He sunk deeper and deeper into the hole of depression until he coudltn even find reasons to leave his bed anymore, nor reasons to not cutting and no reason to live.

He used multiple diffrent ways to try and kill himself but nothing worked smoothly enough until hw found the rope, hung it to the roof and then hung himself, his body wasn't found in weeks until a person had reported a foul smell from Ghosties apparyment.

He didnt immidetly become a ghost though anf it took a week or two, he was then just... a ghost, waking up on the floor right under where he had died, no explanation why and no reason to leave the appartment, he always could leave the appartment but it was like a mental block in his mind.

He used to always have a clean-shaven face, insane twinkle in his eyes, depressingly empty expressions and that sad.. sad feeling emanating from him, he always wore coats or just a "white" dirty t-shirt 😔

He both smoked and drunk alcohol, it soothed him for a while

As I said, hw doesn't remmebrr much, not even his own name so how did he get it? Well, one thing he did remmeber was a childhood memory about reading a book called "Ghosties fun~" and there he claimed the name as his own.

He has scars on his body, some more vissible than others, mostly on his arms, chest, big ones on his chest from cutting too deep a couple of times and some on his legs but they looked more like small blue sharpie on his arms
