Huge props to Quackity and the admins, it can be hard to make horror/thriller scenes engaging in Minecraft cause of the blocky format but that last scene where he's running through the forest and all the fire and lightning are raining down was incredible and will make for some banger content

Hey, the way you make art looks very different from how I make art. And it makes me want to try new things. And I know trying mediums I'm not used to won't produce the best effects at first, but I remember you (at least I think it was you) making a post about how you made really good art by challenging yourself and trying something above your skill level. And, you know, that's a good tip.
Anyway thank you for posting your art. It's cool and inspiring.
That was me yea! I strongly advocate being overly confident and having The Audacity lol
Good luck with your art!

Is your name a Hylics ref?
YES IT IS!!!!!
My current username is a mashup of just my regular nickname and Hylwicks, my friend Martin suggested it for me a while back and I liked it so much I used it
I looooove Hylics! It's actually one of the main inspos for my own game, I use 3D assets turned into 2D sprites as a stylistic choice because of Hylics :]c

gonna be honest the horrid anti ai positions in this website is what pushed me to have a relatively favorable view of ai art lol

Listen guys I know I will never be much good* (or even enjoy, tbh) calligraphy, but my mother-in-law keeps giving me old “the basics of calligraphy!!” sets that she finds at goodwill that obviously someone got as a gift in the 90s and never even opened and I enjoy collecting the inks and tiny ceramic bowls and inkstones so, so much ☺️
*this isn’t poor self esteem btw this is clear eyed & serene knowledge of where my skills lay and the answer to that is in art forms that do not require steady hands and good spatial awareness. I like digital art and fiber crafts lmao.

I have accidentally taught my dog to get into cozy couch cuddle mode at the sound of the Dragon Age: Inquisition theme.
He hates the sound of the playstation switch user/turn off interactions, bc they mean I am Getting Off the Couch To Do Things Now, and therefore am abandoning him forever. Conversely, the DA:I theme kicking into gear means Oh Shit, Hell Yeah, They’re Gonna Be Here For Cuddles for a WHILE.
And so, very mixed messages were then sent when I had a chill DA:I background music playlist going while doing dishes a bit ago. Ten minutes into the playlist, the theme kicked on. Promptly, he looked up from his lil antler he was chewing on, jumped up on the couch, dug into the blankets, and proceeded to start huffing at me, standing up, then sitting down, grab his antler then jump back up, chew, sit and look at me, huff— just,,, absolute >8| energy from this little man thanks to a slammin’ soundtrack I may or may not let loop a couple times whenever I play……… (it took me twenty minutes to join him on the couch and he shoved his head VERY hard against my thigh. Wedged in there. No room for thoughts in that lil skull. Or for me to move when my gay-ass lounging makes some limb fall asleep. Heavy burdens….)

would genuinely love to see some sort of non-film saw spin-off. comics would be an ideal medium (exhibit a: saw rebirth, despite being non-canon); a whole breadth of already established and new characters, vignettes of life in saw city, events directly before or after film instalments could be explored…

The whole sword scene with Laudna and Orym was SO good and juicy and with so many wonderful flawed character moments, but it's hard to fully enjoy when I know the fandom is just going to be arguing over whose side to take

Sometimes one remembers that the most common ancestral race of hobbits is described by Tolkien as "browner of skin" then the less common two (who might have been mostly outbred over the many years? on the topic of the "fairer of skin and also of hair" set Concerning Hobbits describes that "the strong Fallohidish strain could still be noted among the greater families, such as the Took and the Masters of Buckland", which to me implies that while there's still clear ancestry there they probably still have heavy Harfoot or even Stoor influence going on- otherwise why describe it as a 'strong strain' rather than just say they're still primarily Fallohidish families? especially when you consider that the section in question is discussing that they were particularly bold and adventurous for hobbits and so given what the Tooks and Brandybucks are like it may be more often a matter of inclination rather than visuals- not to doubt that the visuals show up, but probably not as often as inclination, especially if you allow for the secrecy-focused courting habits mentioned in the first draft of the first chapter of LotR (as published in The Return of the Shadow: The History of Lord of the Rings Part 1, by Christopher Tolkien, pg 17, yes I did go hunting), which would make marriages between differing groups so much more accessible (and may actually be why that's a thing)), that their curly hair is consistently pointed out, and that our initial description of hobbits given in The Hobbit specifically mentions "nimble brown fingers".
And then one gets aggravated all over again at how long it took for non-white hobbits to show up in adaptations and the sheer number of people over the years who have tried to make out like non-white hobbits would be such a horrible canon-breaking thing.
