Good morning :) I'm trying to get back into writing so I thought I'd give you a little update where I am. I'm currently finishing my patreon requests so that's one section ticked off and I forgot how good some of these are 😩

In terms of those requests we have:

Antoine Griezmann - her teasing of his comparisons to Charles Leclerc leads to sex like no other and he's determined to make sure he's never compared in her mind again.

Dominik Szoboszlai - learning Scouse is different to learning English but she's there to help him learn - fluff

Dušan Vlahović - he's always been open about his sexuality and what he likes in bed but what he's not expecting is to enjoy no longer being in control.

Jack Grealish - she's the Man City women's GK. being plus sized, she thought friendship is the only thing Jack would want or need from her, but when they're forced into the same facilities, the needs always come out.

Leon Goretzka - her team kicked Leon's out of the champions league. when he refuses to let it slide, he's going to have to take matters into his own hands.

Mats Hummels - they're in the same book club. he's insufferable and he knows it. bookworms to lovers.

Mikel Arteta - lads locker room talk about squirting leads Mikel on a mission to separate the fiction from reality.

Paulo Dybala - they've been away from each other for far too long and the meeting between the sheets is needed - if they can make it that far

Rodrigo De Paul - he buys her new lingerie and though he's fantasised about seeing her in it, he now can't wait to take it off her

Rodrigo Riquelme - she's the teams SM manager and they've been hooking up secretly. a quick one before training wouldn't hurt….would it?

I think we have a good mix of players to read and so these will be posted one a week until they've all been uploaded - please note these will not be coming here.

Then I will work on the series, and a few more normal request one shots. If you've got the teaser link, you'll be able to check how it's going. The first of the series I'll be completing is the next few chapters of So....Teach Me.

A few non requests I'll be working on is the Devil!Domi fic, and a switch around where she's the devil and a player will give anything if it means he gets his career to take off. I'm just trying to think who I want this player to be.

I'm also going to write a self indulgent mini series about the Atletico Madrid boys which will be smutty. I'm thinking Anto, De Paul, Jan, Correa, Gimenez, Hermoso, Llorente and possibly Riquelme. Thoughts?

Anyway, that's enough of a writing update, I hope you're all ok and hopefully I'll be bringing something to your screens soon that you'll enjoy :)

So, I wasn't sure how to write this in a coherent way. I'm not sure if I even am now, but I need to try (if only to vent). I’m just a person with feelings and an opinion and this is just for me to get this out there and out of my head.

I hate Solomon's Seals. I hate the idea of them. I hate them being paid content. I hate that they represent shady business practices and exploitation of fanbases. I hate it.

Before I explain, I am not faulting PB for trying to make a profit. Companies need to make money to stay in business and PB is a company. What I care about is the practices the company uses to try and make money. I care about how a company treats its players, both whales and f2p.

I am, by my own admission, a whale (maybe closer to a dolphin? Idk where we draw the line). I picked up the habit in my Eldarya days when I started throwing $10 at the game every few months. It was how I splurged on myself back when I was a broke college student. Before that though, I was a f2p player in everything I did. Even now, there are games where I am strictly f2p. So, please understand that I am seeing two sides to the issue as I write up this rant…

Solomon's Seal are exploitative and I hate them.

Paid currency, in general, is exploitative. Games can have paid content. That isn't what bothers me. Cosmetic changes being paid currency? Sure thing. Special stickers or emotes? Sounds fine by me. Making the gacha,, the entire backbone of the gacha game, paid player exclusive? That I have an issue with.

What bothers me is that WHB has introduced three different summoning items. Greater keys (GK), lesser keys (LK), and Solomon's Seals (SS). GK and LK are used for the general pool, with LK being used to narrow down summons to A+ rank or higher summons. Minhyeok's banner used GK, which was an interesting choice. They are easier to get by far. An actually alright move from PB, making it manageable to summon his unit (unit? card? what are we calling these guys even?) for all players.

However… then we saw the new banner and that it required SS. We were not told what SS were or how to possibly earn them. We found out after the update that SS are a paid currency. Specifically, they are a paid currency to draw on event banners for L-rank units. My heart sunk when I saw this. It sunk for a two main reasons:

It's unfair to the f2p player base, who doesn't even have a chance to earn a handful of SS for free to get even a few draws.

It makes me feel exploited as a whale when I see the prices on those SS.

My Eldarya days taught me something: whales motivate the company, for good and ill. Many companies want to try and get their whales to spend money on limited banners. If you played Obey Me (OM), you will recognize this as the reason Lucifer and Mammon always seemed to have the most limited cards. It was because they were the two most popular characters and the whales spent money on them. It was guaranteed that Solmare would keep making content for their cash cows. It's also why characters who ranked lower on that popularity poll started not getting as many cards.

(Side note: if you ever take these surveys and see the question "how much money do you spend on games a month", the company is explicitly assigning you a dollar amount to weigh your opinions)

Events (and their banners) are the lifeblood of gacha games. They make a ton of money during this time, so they tend to have a good deal of focus put on them. Personally, I prefer events to be more sparse so they are special and the team is not pulled between event stories, main story content, and the upkeep of the game.

OM had many shady practices as it went on. Constant events (often with only a day or two between the end of one and the start of another), being unable to complete an event reward sheet (3 pages) completely if you were f2p, Celestial Blessings (loot boxes within loot boxes), starting up Nightbringer (that's a whole other rant), not informing the fanbase for a year that OM would be all but discontinued, putting the announcement on a Reddit thread when it did finally come out so it had to be passed around via word of mouth rather than from Solmare itself, and more.

Solmare has always been an exploitative company and many of its choices are based in getting players to spend money as often as possible rather than ensure the actual game content is good (sorry, I am still traumatized by S4 and the year long wait). Many of their practices are based in fomo and gambling practice (reminder: gacha is gambling) meant to produce a Skinner effect and trick your brain to keep going, even against your own best interests.

You get an SSR guarantee when you draw because your brain sees the sparkling rainbows and thinks "I was so close to getting a UR! Maybe if I do one more pull". It prompts you to try again for that dopamine rush.

I bring up Solmare specifically to point out that, despite its shady practices, still didn’t have a paid exclusive currency. You could buy DP in that game, but DP was also able to be earned free. Same with DV. And the two currencies could be used to pull on any banner. Twst also allows you to use keys on any banner. Same with Nu:C and contracts. The Ikemen series too. One currency type for every banner, and that currency can be earned for free given enough time and effort. Honkai Star Rail and Genshin have two types of currency used on different banners, but both types can be earned completely free given enough time.

I personally think all currencies should be available to all players, paid and f2p, in some capacity. There should be a way to earn SS, even if only for a single ten draw. Doing anything less is unfair to the f2p player base and sends the message about caring about whales more. Games make their shit loads of money, even without having paid exclusive currency. 

I personally think they should use the more rare, already existing currency (LK) for L-rank banners. Every player can earn those and they can be bought in the shop for the paid players. F2p players have a chance to earn them for free and hoard them for the next banner drop, making them feel like they at least got a chance to pull rather than feeling left out.

HOWEVER, I am also going to acknowledge here the PB (unless they change their minds) has stated that the L-rank event units will be added to the general pool at the end of their two week banner run. Honestly? This is an amazing choice. It completely opens the potential to get the L-rank units up to the entire playerbase. The only drawback is that the rates to pull them will drop. This is the first time I’ve personally seen a game do this and I will not pretend it isn’t a very generous move. My issue isn’t with PB. It’s with the Seals as a concept.

As for why SS make me feel exploited as a paid player… it has to do with their cost. If you do the math, it costs about $500 to hit pity… Gacha have never been cheap (ask me how much I have spent in the past trying to get Kuya or Rei) but $500 is insane for a single pity… in which you can’t even choose what you get. Take into account that there are four items you potentially have to draw (the unit artifacts are necessary for the unholy board which is where extra stats and story are hidden) and that adds up very quickly. Now, you are likely to draw something before you hit pity, but that is not guaranteed and it certainly isn’t guaranteed you’ll get all four items. RNGesus is fickle, as many a veteran can attest. Seeing these prices puts a nasty taste in my mouth because it feels like going straight for the wallet. Remember, these are pixels. They cost time and effort to make and write for and the servers cost money to be maintained… but $500 for a single pity? That is a rather extreme cost for the unlucky.

Like I said, I don’t have an issue with PB needing to make money. We all do. They have employees to pay and servers to maintain. My issue is the way they do it. I find Solomon’s Seals to be gross. I find them to be a bad practice in their current state which is why I cannot, in good conscious, whale for this. How I spend my money encourages their practices. I do not support this one, so I will not put my money toward it.

Having said that, I openly acknowledge that PB is not defined by this one grievance. I like that they seem to be listening to the player base. They heard Solomon’s Tears were difficult to get and made it easier to obtain them. They are constantly trying to fix the game and stabilize the servers. They have given out a shit ton of keys and compensation for delays, maintenance, and more. I can find this one aspect egregious without bashing the entire company or their efforts >.> I can still enjoy the game and the characters. Critique is not criticism.

first off, I'm so glad y'all liked the season! we had so much fun making it!! secondly, I have no idea when Maxine Miles Season 2 will be coming, because there's some logistical snafus to work through but, realistically, probably early next year at the soonest!

okay, so @bridgewaterpodcast season 3 - the real, honest answer I can give you is...I have no idea. thankfully, Misha already talked about The CW developing Bridgewater as a TV show and not moving it forward, so I can talk a little more openly than I expected I would be able to but, essentially, that was in talks for quite some time the back half of 2022 and, had it gone forward, it would've made a third season of the podcast very difficult logistically, because of the time that Misha, Aaron, and I would be spending on the adaptation. we only found out it wasn't going forward at the end of the year, and then Season 2 started rolling out so...I don't know!

things are obviously more open now for a third season than they were, but I did approach S2 a little differently in writing it--we were pretty certain we'd get to make more after S1, whereas in writing S2 it was a big question mark bc of potential TV stuff, so I wanted to make sure to wrap up our big central mystery--Thomas's story. however, that's not to say that we don't have a lot more ideas for this world and these characters.

so, long story short (too late), it's up in the air at the moment. Misha's been so busy with GK, I've been in production on a new podcast until very recently, and Aaron runs literally ten million podcasts every single day so, outside of some "happy premiere/finale day!" texts in our group chat, we haven't actually had a chance to put our heads together. but rest assured, I will have an update for you about that at some point! stay tuned!!

Idk about any art projects I plan on doing fully atm, so I’m just doing whatever rn lol.

I’ve been procrastinating on my Talltale lore ngl… But I think it mostly just has to do with the fact I’m REWORDING my lore and not actually adding anything new as of now. That and I’m pretty sure it also have to do with the fact I’ve accepted that, because Talltale is still a WIP, many areas and parts of the story have plot holes, big conveniences, and rushed stuff.

Thing is, I feel like the most important characters of the AU, (Frisk, CC, Gaster, Crimson, and Asriel) are fine… but the OTHER characters (the side characters) such as MK, GK, Undyne, Sans, Papyrus, Alphys, Mettaton, Toriel, Asgore, etc. are very rushed rn and I'm struggling REALLY hard to make them, their struggles, personality, relationships, and their roles well written and believable

A conversation I'm having with a very quiet friend none of you would know made me realize I should probably re-collect my statements about Gotham Knights, with everything going on, so people can have a full and realistic understanding of the picture, rather than piece by piece updates:

GK's marketing numbers are really good, basically should perform about like TW, especially in-app and digitals. This is a great sign.

However, there's a lot of shit going on at DC

and a lot of shit going on at WB

and a lot of shit going on with hollywood writing rooms.

#4 is making studios expedite their decisions on what to cull or cancel, and gauging which shows are more likely to be impacted by it, like new shows and first year shows

This is why there's also no pilots on the Nexstar lineup this year even for low cost sitcoms or dramas, because they still need writers for anything scripted.

That's a lot going on. I've made no qualms in being very clear that I have zero ears inside DC and the best I can do is follow around leakers that do, and even THEY have hit or miss accuracy. SPN's general production security is laughably low compared to the labyrinthian ways DC obscures its shit, and changes it on the fly like the eldritch bunker.

So on a numbers front, if it was only numbers, and we just could air on time to show those numbers, I'd be 100% confident they'd just renew us probably as or before it airs to be honest, for a year two. But all those other points show up afterward and you're left staring at a mess.

So I don't want anyone 100% confident about GK to be disappointed. 100% confidence is on numbers and performance, but doesn't account for the great wild expanses of DC and strikes fucking its shit up bad.

The serial killer, or the ghost killer, could actually be kaeya, or it could be a group of people (the guys, and ngl i'm a lil more confident with this theory). Well, for a fact, we all know it's someone in the company (whether it'd be the guys or the workers, including boss), so our work of trying to find the real real ghost killer is a lot easier-ish since we know who to point. And maybe there is an actual copycat *looking at kaeya* because as stated in the news, the condition of the victim's body (sof) is different from the 'usual' ones (heart either being kept in the body or it got ripped out, and lol i got mine ripped out). But, i just kinda not believe the fact that there is a 'copycat'. But, err, this is just my assumption, so it could be incorrect :[

I made a Bingo Card

Since we are a month away from the release of Return to Dream Land Deluxe, I decided to make this just for fun. Actually, I came up with this around October, but I guess is a good time to share. I added/changed a few things since then.

I had plenty of ideas, not only in the context of the previous remakes, but also regarding how the modern games had changed since RtDL. I would proceed to elaborate and rate the possibility, in my cautious opinion, that is.

1. DDD, BD & MK in hub when not used: Akin to how Ban Dee can be seen hanging in Waddle Dee Town. It could be both in the Lor and Magolor Land. I would be neat if you could also speak to them too. Chance: Possible

2. Use of originally cut content: As in stuff from the original game (not counting previous versions like GCN), like unused enemies appearing. Chance: Very unlikely, yet considering HR-D3...

3. GK fight outside the True Arena: Just wishful thinking. For the longest time I wanted to fight Galacta Knight outside the TA. IDK, the background always made me feel like he should be a secret boss hidden in Dangerous Dinner. Chance: Unlikely

4. New mode similar to HiAD & II:FD: Other case of wishful thinking. I might be asking too much, but I just like these epilogue modes; for instance, it could explore Magolor in the aftermath. Chances: Not very likely, but HiAD in SA’s final update does give me some hope.

5. Unlockable playable Magolor: That would be a cool reward, may be by getting certain scores in all the minigames, 100% or in the epilogue mode from the previous point. I mean, he was already made playable, and Festival is in the game. Chance: Possible

6. Translatable Halcandran Alphabet: I’m referring to the glyphs in the Lor’s screen. I remember seen a post expressing this same idea months ago. I think it would be cool to be able to compare the New World’s writing with Halcandran. We see shared characteristics among those and the symbols in Hyness’ clothes, but I want it to be expanded.

In a side note, I want for some words from that language too, we do see a few connections between the Switch game’s spoken languages, for example ‘Heart’ is ‘Haruda’ (‘Bastion’ in the EN localization) in SA and ‘Faruda’ in FL.

Anyway... Chances: Very unlikely

7. More Magolor!!!: Not need to elaborate. Chances: Already confirmed, but there always could be more.

8. New cutscenes related to main story: Specifying to not count the stuff related to the theme park. Anything that happens during or is consequence of the main story counts, like the potential GK encounter or epilogue mode, may be scenarios added to the repairing cutscenes akin to 64. Chances: Unlikely

9. New stuff connected to the ‘Ancients’: I’m including Hyness’ clan and the people from the New World under the term. Chances: Possible even if it’s something minor.

10. Dream Collection content: An old idea I decided to keep, with it I mean the New Challenge Stages and Magolor Race. Chances: Impossible by this point.

11. New pause descriptions for bosses: RtDL is so weird compared to the other modern games in many ways, an example: only a few bosses have pause desc. and they are relatively short, just like in SSU. I think this is a no brainer. Imagine if they remove them and pass them to masks, if that happens, I’ll still count them. Chances: Very likely

12. Updated movesets for DDD, BD and MK: The SA ones. Chances: Confirmed

13. Replace/change Extra Mode: I don’t hate this mode, it’s just weird with the other modern games in mind. I hope I don’t cause much contention; this was a filler idea. May be a little shake up, like a few new puzzles like in Isolated Isles. Chances: Unlikely

14. More allusions to Magolor’s ‘friend’: Though most agree its Marx, a few more hints won’t hurt. Now imagine if the acquaintance is a future character instead, since Mags has a time machine. Chances: Very unlikely

15. Option to customize/turn off outlines: I personally like them as part of the pop-up book aesthetic, but I’ve seen many hating them, so why not have a choice, at least alter thickness. Chances: Possible

16. Challenge Stages for newer abilities: Since they are new. Chances: Confirmed

17. New hidden rooms in MM and ExM: SA got some in the updates. Would be nice for those that already played the game. Chances: Possible

18. Chaos boss: Thinking about Marx Soul in SSU, I think it’s fitting to have this item happen even if everything else here doesn’t. With I’m just referring to a harder secret true final boss; may be another fight with Magolor, I’m also considering someone else, may be the crown alone? I dubbed it ‘Chaos’ to refer to something above ‘Soul’. Chances: Very Likely, though don’t get your hopes up.

19. Reference to RtDL’s beta versions: not counting the visuals or stuff from the original. Something like betalor being referenced in “Chaos Magolor” or something. Chances: Very Unlikely

20. Additional Stages in Main Mode: As in new whole stages, not just a room or two. May be even a whole new world. A big ask honestly. Chances: Unlikely

21. New Landia lore: Even though Landia appears in the Clash games, there really isn’t much about them besides being called a ‘Guardian Angel’, and they are not part of the main continuity. I’m just saying, this is a good opportunity. Chances: Possible

22. Voiced Adeleine by staff picked for SA: This just something I hope is the case, since a screenshot already confirms her mask has sound effects. It’s just nice seeing stuff cut from a previous entry finally being used. Chances: Very likely

23. Shopkeeper Magolor reference: This is filler, since SA already did that. Magolor is above canon after all. Chances: Possible

24. New well hidden Easter Egg: Possibly involving 86. May be cram in a third HAL Room? As long as most players don’t find out without checking a guide or by pure accident. Chances: Likely
