It is important to understand that real knowledge is of the heart. Real wisdom is what we live. Real knowledge comes from experience, and more importantly, that experience of higher realities comes when we investigate our own heart, our own mind, our ways of living, and to look, not to assume that we know, “I am of this race, this culture, this religion, this belief system, these politics, this upbringing.” It means to really look at what is inside in terms of our emotions, our impulses, our will.

This active looking is precisely what every tradition teaches about meditation: to look, to observe, to acquire new information―not to assume that we already know who we are, but to be open and to watch in a state of stillness, of observation, of clarity. It is that inner discrimination of ourselves that really helps us to distinguish right from wrong. It is our heart, our conscience, that tells us what is right and what is wrong. We may have traditions that tell us these things, but what do we know in our being about what to do? ― especially when we are faced with situations that are so complex that we are baffled. We are confused. We are overwhelmed, like you heard in Carmina Burana. When fate hits, the hammer of karma, of hardship, strikes, and we find all of those things that we typically ignore come to the surface of our mind, things we may neglect or fail to look at.

People nowadays distrust God. Why is that? Do they doubt Him? Did it appear that God didn't fulfil their own ideas of what they need, hence they decided to doubt Him? Did they expect God to be a butler to fulfil everything they ask? Very silly. God is King, not us, so He gets to decide how things go. If people actually bothered to get to know God, then they would truly understand Who He is and what He does. We shouldn't slam expectations on the Almighty God, but humble ourselves before Him, that He would reveal Himself to us through faith. He won't accept an arrogant person who thinks that his way is the only right way, so let us also stop being so arrogant to God, that we would get close to Him. He won't tolerate arrogance, so let's stop giving it to Him. He opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Bless you in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour! Amen.

The Books of Jeu are two Gnostic texts. Though independent works, both the First Book of Jeu and the Second Book of Jeu appear, in Sahidic Coptic, in the Bruce Codex.[1] They are a combination of a gospel and an esotericrevelation; the work professes to record conversations Jesus had with both the male apostles and his female disciples, and the secret knowledge (gnosis) revealed in these conversations.

What causes a Change

What causes something to change? What makes it to change? What determines a change? What are the underneath factors to make something change? We have the ability to notice changes happening all the time around us. We have the ability to notice the changes occurring within ourselves. But, what really is change? Is it merely a difference between a memory and another event? Or is there something much more deeper? What is really going on?

The only way I look at it is using the example of scratching a lottery ticket. There are choices, but these choices are all concealed by being covered up. You can only make a few guesses and each guess is made by scratching out the covering surface. If you scratched the correct choice, you won. Our ability to notice changes is similar to scratching a lottery guess. Except we are not physically scratching, but another action is used.

To scratch a lottery ticket, certain conditions must be met. The ability to physically scratch the ticket. The ability to understand the rules. The desire to win. All these conditions and there are more others are all formed by the person's history and experiences in life. This is the same for us to having the ability to notice changes.

For us to notice a change, certain conditions are essential for us to have this ability. This comes from growth and development from past experiences. Our past is one long mathematical equation, or one long wave length. When we scratched the lottery ticket, we are adding another ability to this process. We are making the mathematical equation stronger, healthier, and more precise by removing uncertainties and the unknowns.

Basically, when we are scratching the lottery ticket, we are scratching away the concealments caused by our ignorance, our hatred, our fears, and our desires! One by one, little by little. We are then noticing that we are changing as we can see and sense more. We are interacting more with both the outside and inside, together! We can experience more because the world around us is allowing us to scratch deeper to what is truly amazing and wonderful! We are growing, developing, and sensing what is out there and inside of us, both at the same time!

The world outside and the universe inside of us unveils together, reveals together, grows together, and are bound together. This is a dance of participation! An interplay and never a dance of spectators, but an active dance of participating in an amazing universe of wonders and excitement of pure happiness!

This is change. This is us discovering by scratching out the concealments and revealing the change within ourselves and outside of ourselves! The dance of active living! This is an active life! This is a growing life! This is meaning in itself, by itself, and to itself! All within itself! Our interplay with the entire universe!

How can we become God's friends, when He is above us all? Can the distance between us really make it impossible? And why does Jesus say, that we are His friends if we do what He commands us to? Is He blackmailing us? Well, take it this way: if you wanted to be someone's friend, what would you do - what displeases him or what pleases him? Would you keep doing what bothers him, or what helps in your friendship? The same is with God. He won't accept sinful behaviour as a response to what He has done for you, so why do you think He will still stay with you, if you show Him such arrogance? As you want people to treat you, wouldn't you treat then that way? I pray you take this in and think about it. God will show you the way and guide you down it, as long as you stay faithful to Him.
