I haven’t posted about them since making them that I completely forgot they existed.. oops!
Enda is a third year in Pomefiore. He’s a shorter but stocky guy. One could find him intimidating if his face wasn’t always so pleasant. He has a pronounced slouch and his left eye is naturally more closed than the right. His best subject is potionology with an almost mastery of transformation potions. (I’m not quite sure what to call this yet but) He experiences magic “episodes”. Like there’s a crack in the stone that lets energy slip causing them to happen. He can experience moments of the future and past, but he never knows when they’re happening. One moment he’s in class on a Tuesday and the next he’s still in class just.. on a Tuesday a year from his present. The effects of these episodes cause other students to perceive him as.. odd. The way he’ll seemingly randomly blurt out something that makes no sense to them. How he’ll reference things that haven’t happened so concretely? It’s something he struggled in silence with for a long time. Because how could he explain it? He just looked… crazy.
Llewellyn is a sprite. They are smaller than Ortho. They cannot speak so they communicate in pictures that form in the wisp of their hair. (Think Sandman from Rise of the Guardians) They are a mischievous little thing, often playing small pranks on other students. Their favorite day is orientation or anytime outsiders visit for an event. They look so sweet and act so helpful offering directions! But… they are actually leading the person to the entirely wrong place. On purpose.
Any questions welcome!

DAMN I almost forgot to post her. Anyway this fur was so incredibly fun and the perfect thing to get me drawing again after a drought.
Belongs to @punkbirdwitch and @miss-burntwood
[ID copied from alt: A drawing showing a bust of a god, who resembles a red fox with tall brown antlers. The fur on her chest and face is very fluffy, and there is a glowing blue spiral pattern on her foreleg. She smiles slyly at the viewer. The background is a series of abstract, watercolor-like splotches in warm colors. End ID.]

The Witch's Home: Practical Magic for Every Room Review
Tumblr media
Trying to rebuild my path has meant trying to figure out how to make the most of the limited space I have available, so I turned to Pattie Wigington’s The Witch’s Home: Practical Magic for Every Room. The book promises to help readers find the magical potential of every room in their house as well as their garden and the garage, with ideas for using nonstandard items within your magic practice.
There is a ton to like with this book from Wigington’s comfortable conversational tone to the separate tables of contents for both chapters as a whole and the magic workings on their own. There are foot notes sourcing studies or other books she references in the text proper, or providing a quick translation in at least one case. There are ideas that I want to use immediately, like the journal ritual for when you do not have space or privacy for more physical rituals, and ideas I want to chew on, like the home grimoire.
The Witch’s Home also has some really good practical mundane advice to help support the magic advice. Things like making sure you do a patch check before using essential oils in a magical bath or making sure that the herbs you use in a tea blend will not cancel out a medication you are on, both of which often seem left out in other texts. I like the suggestion that you want to make sure to have your kitchen set up for the best flow and economy of movement, as well as the suggestions for how you might make the most of your kitchen’s storage space. It leaves the book feeling nicely grounded.
If I have any sort of issue with The Witch’s Home it comes largely from the sections on magical decorating that go with each included room, there is a definite sense of diminishing returns as the decorating tips wind up feeling fairly repetitive. This is, admittedly, pretty fair to have happen since general decorating advice based on a theme is going to tend to wind up repeating a lot of details, but it did bog the reading down more than a bit. There were also a handful of sections that felt like they either did not quite fit or like they wanted to be expanded upon, the board games and playing cards section especially felt like something that wanted expansion. That feels like something that could go a lot of really interesting places.
Ultimately, I find that I want to see more of Wigington’s work. The Witch’s Home is a solid book with a lot of ideas that I can use now and even more that I will be able to use once I have access to a little more space. I really liked the separate tables of contents for chapters and ritual work, that feels like such a simple thing but it winds up feeling really useful. The Witch’s House gets four acorns out of five from me, I have already started a journaling ritual journal and plan to try more as I get the chance.
As a last note, I want to thank Llewellyn for providing me a copy of The Witch’s Home: Practical Magic for Every Room for review here.

I was studying Jurisprudence for my exam, and it's actually so interesting.
I mean I keep everything that I have to study for exams, but I do understand the concepts
The language I write in may not construct a guidelike answer, but atleast it makes me happy to know that I know the concept and the clarity regarding the concepts.
But anyways, back here
Jurisprudence is actually so much interesting.
So many theories, so many schools, felt like a pain in the ass while covering up the syllabus
But it's all genuinely so interesting.
Natural law school believes in divine law
Socrates, Plato, Aristotle were Greek philosophers who contributed to this theory
Socrates defined virtue, Plato introduced Doctrine of forms, Aristotle added more specifics to doctrine of forms while agreeing and disagreeing to some of the specifications made by Plato.
Analytical law school studies what is law and not what law ought to be
So many philosophers/jurists in this theory with their own different aspects.
John Austin : Gave the theory that : Laws are commands of the sovereign backed by sanction.
Jeremy Bentham : Utilitarian theory
H.L.A. Hart : Divided law into Primary and secondary rules
Hans Kelsen : pure theory of law, fun fact : Kelsen was also known as doubly pure because of his theory.
Historical school studies origin and development of law throughout the history.
Important Jurists : Savigny, Henry Maine
Sociological school studies sociological impact of law on society and how it affects a common individual.
Realist school.
Now this one.
It caught my attention because of how it's theory is.
One Scandinavian jurist talks about how Law is nothing but a psychological pressure created through times immemorial.
One such example is that when a classmate tells me that there's an exam tomorrow. It won't be taken as seriously as when the same information comes through the official notification of college.
Official notification in this context is one such example of psychological pressure in action.
It is rooted in the subconscious through history. This pressure created through history created a subconscious pressure to take official notifications, statutes, an authoritative body seriously, and to follow such laws or directions imposed by them.
Now, do you understand how crazy this is?
I mean it's really simple but it was something I never thought of.
We can connect this theory of psychological pressure to a lot of things. I'm a lot sleep deprived at the very moment, but if something comes to my mind, I'll write it down.
Because it's a topic that interests me, and it's so fun to think about it in regards to what more can it be?
One more Jurist tells us within this school, that The right you talk about exists only in metaphysical sense.
But if supposedly, I go to practice my right in court, I'll have to follow court's obligations.
But what if I don't follow court's obligations/ what If I couldn't follow it? Does that mean that I don't have a right?
And even after a case being heard by a judge, what if the ruling is not in our favor, does that mean we don't have rights?
Therefore as an example, Right can be considered as a metaphysical concept, for in that it never really exists in actuality.
This school focuses more on how law operates in the real world.
It also focuses on points such as, Judges are also humans and being a human, they can have bias, may it be conscious/subconscious
Therefore law studies how law is in real world and how it works and how is it applied and so on.
It concerns itself with reality of the law and world.
One example of Judges being humans and how it affects a law is that
Suppose a case arising dispute regarding abortion arises, and the judge is a Christian judge. In this case, the judge cannot give an order without some bias, as in Christianity abortion is not supported.
So my point was that Juris is really interesting, the theories are so complex and this question to define what law is and different ways to study it
Especially to study it since the ancient time, since the time of Socrates and still coming up with definitive meanings and theories and criticisms. I like it. It's complex I know, but it is that constant change and new way approach that keeps law changing, and accustoming new ways of thinking.
So yeah, loved it.
Cool theories.
