O!Buggy who hides and denies being an omega for self preservation. Who screams kicks bites and scratches at anyone who tries to out him.

O!Buggy who takes some sort of cloth scrap from every loyal member of his crew to squirrel away around his nests never to be relinquished again until no scent but his own remains.

O!Buggy who denies he’s an omega so hard but can’t help but purr when he buries his face into the softest pillows he owns. Smushing his nose into his hard earned comfort. Enjoying the warmth that cotton and candy blend of his own scent in sheer comfort brings him because it’s all his.

O!Buggy who isn’t a captain despite being an omega but because he’s an omega. Who inspires loyalty from the strangest bunch that only gets stranger over time then even worse after impel down then cross guild.

O!Buggy who was only content to share he was an omega when he was a young pup freshly presented on Oro Jackson where he had a pack, a Shanks and an Alpha that was the closest thing to a father figure the blue haired baby ever had and Captain.

O!Buggy who grew and kept his hair long because he loves fussing over it. Combing through sea swept loose curls even if it was in styles to hide it away as soon as he had something to do.

O!Buggy who loves treasure not for the wealth but because his secondary gender has him behaving like some deranged magpie who wants the shiney pretty things all around him just to inspire that sparkly eyed look of adoration.

O!Buggy who has no inkling to bow down to alphas or cower at any sort of flare of Haki but loathes the risk of physical violence because he prefers his skin unblemished despite the life of a pirate. This man has no shame in running and dodging fights if he thinks he can’t win it.

O!Buggy who curls his lip back bearing his teeth if he gets ordered around to dote on an Alpha in any way whatsoever. Who prefers to dictate how they should love and praise and appreciate him instead.

O!Buggy who would simper and pout so obviously before his temper flares up faster than anyone else his crews ever crossed paths with. It’s honestly the only reason others think he’s some low grade alpha instead out on the sea.

O!Buggy who’s a fucking menace when his random heats hit. He makes it impossible for anyone to get near him. Pack/crew/strangers, doesn’t matter. There’s a 10ft bubble around him because he wants nothing to do with anyone unless-

Ever wonder why goblins love frogs, snails, bugs, all those little creatures that humans detest, ignore or exterminate?

Perhaps we enjoy the little guys who mind their business, taking life at their own pace, living in their own way, braving the big and scary world around them. There’s simple joy in a harmless creature simply living according to its nature, doing its own thing. There’s fascination in watching how differently they do simple things, like grooming, eating, hiding, compared to us. There’s so much to learn in pondering the quiet creatures and wondering what the world must appear as to them. And perhaps, we see a little of ourselves in them. Small creatures in a big world, unwanted and mostly unseen by humans, thriving in our own way despite it all. Goblins don’t need affection to be returned or a practical use extracted from something to enjoy it. To adore it. To relate to it. That feels like a primary difference between human culture and goblin culture.

There is one human phrase that captures the concept well… That proves we have kindred souls among them.

The worst thing with sitting in on robot surgery is that I sit right in front of where the robot arms are inside the patient. And when they move they jostle so incredibly enticingly. The goblin part of my pain just really wants to grab them and give them a good wibble-wobble, shake them around a bit.

I don't. Because I'm a Responsible Nurse and also it would kill the patient. But I really really want to. I feel that now I understand that one welder here on Tumblr who talked about how incredibly touchable red-hot metal looks. I feel like I know exactly the feeling.

Okay, hot take

Outdoor security is a fantastic gig for goblins. Think about it.

- You get paid to wander the grounds at night, stalking the fog and the shadows looking for human intruders

- You are literally the one thing there that nobody wants to run into, because they know they’re in danger if you find them

- A high degree of separation from humanity outside of finding intruders during work hours

- You are very much encouraged to stop and notice the small things, just in case, you have a work reason to admire the bugs and frogs and stuff

- You see and hear a lot more than the humans assume you do, and that gap between cognition and reality can be FUN to use

- Humans tend to accept your quirks as a result of the work instead of being weird about it

If a gob must live in human society, there’s a compelling case to be had! And unlike similar jobs like being a cop, security officers provide a genuinely appreciated service. Their presence alone gives peace of mind to people, especially if they’re assigned to a housing complex, which can help scratch that community itch!
