So I just noticed this while looking for details of Ekko's outfit in episode 9. This screengrab is from when he saves Jinx, it's the best one I could take where you can see both his ears.

This is during the battle, and it was really hard to catch it because everything is going so fast in this scene, but look at his ear - he has a piercing.

Confirmed in this close-up at the end of the episode.

And if we go back to episode 7, the first thing he does when he looks at his reflection...

He's shocked to see he has piercings.

So this means he got his ears pierced not right after coming back from the alternate universe; he got them pierced AFTER saving Jinx. Do I really need to ask by who?

Y'all, they didn't just craft completely new outfits together and paint all over each other's bodies - which is something they both have a proclivity for btw (look at Ekko's coat when he find out he's the leader of the Firelights in season 1, covered with spray paint; and of course his paintings of the people he lost).

Ekko didn't just cut Jinx's hair; Jinx pierced his ears too, and it would be really hard not to interpret that as a symbol of him getting closer to being AU!Ekko, as an echo (lol) of his relationship with Powder/Jinx.

These kids, man. The obsession is real.

[A Soft Place To Land from Waitress // vaultknight + Rose Maclean/Moldaver]

#First of all Waitress felt like a choice that made even more sense when I thought about it then when I first picked it so that's a layer #Starting with the one you'd need non-Fallout context for #I was gonna do a whole explanation but I am so sleepy I just realised #On the most basic level relevant to this song is a woman keeping her mother's idealistic outlook on things #But ALSO moving on to the parallels I see with Maximus and Rose #Both attempted to leave the highly controlled environment they'd been raised on when they realised there was a better alternative #(Maximus going form the BoS -> the vault and Rose from the vault -> Shady Sands)#But both fail to do so because they're pursued by the place/people they tried to escape #Maximus is dragged back into the Brotherhood and Rose was bombed by her husband #Both places viewed them as something to fill a role (wife+mother. Squire.) and not as a full person #But there's also a little parallel between Maximus and Moldaver in the Moldaver's final scene where Maximus is calling out for Lucy #then moments later Moldaver stumbles in and calls for Rose #I go so crazy for Maximus and for my implied lesbians guys. You don't even understand bc I forgot until just now but oughhhhhh #Obviously there's the fact they both fall in love with a Maclean woman who's recently left the vault for the first time #And apparently Lucy is just like her mum it's so oughhhhhh #God I love this showwwwww #fallout edit #maximus fallout #lucy maclean #fallout show #rose maclean #lee moldaver

we figured out a better way to do sprites (instead of freeballing it i edit and frankenstein other sprites together and THEN draw over and recolor it. its proven effective thus far) so heres some kantonians!!

This might be a hot take but getting into the Bear and not really vibing with sycarmy has made me realise how much healthier the fandom is on ao3 and tiktok. There's no real arguing because it's just about posting content about your favourite characters and ships. There doesn't seem to be this massive group of people on tiktok that solely think of sydcarmy for the bear, i see edits for individual characters, richiemikey, sydrichie etc, just as much as i do for sydcarmy, even if i mostly scroll past. It's nice not to have half of my feed blocked by a tag that people misuse to make a post popular, so I have to gamble and unfilter posts then see more people arguing about why you should ship sydcarmy, how you're stupid or a hypocrite if you don't. The fandom spaces for richie, sydrichie and richiemikey are so small and inactive, and that I just don't see the point when I can focus my energy on writing stuff for ao3 where there's more of a community

new year, new WIP post! at the end of 2024 i had 8672 words edited and marked as Done on the Big WIP. now i'm up to 8865

#just a short section finished this time but it IS finished. & i did a lot on the next section too #im glad i took several weeks off from it i have come back Refreshed #going through in order now!! doing battle with chapter 2 which is the Cringe Chapter #it isnt actually. it's fine. but it's old and has a lot of side characters in it #so editing those scenes sometimes makes me recoil with embarrassment #been doing good with that though. cringe may not be dead but it is ailing #i made newt weirder in a few scenes #he didnt seem like himself. he needs to say like 10% more odd shit #and im almost done what im calling Chapter 2a for now #chapter 2 is gonna be too fuckin long and im almost done editing up to the earliest point i could insert the chapter break #so im calling that first bit 2a and the rest 2b #probably not where the break will actually go but we'll see. depends how long 2b ends up #dreading the point where i have to renumber the chapters lmao #they have titles but im so used to the numbers...#also i swapped the titles for ch3 and ch4 but if i renumber the chapters then ch3 will become the 4th chapter #so it'll be chapter 4 with the original ch4 title but the contents of what was ch3 💀#so. 2a and 2b until i bite the bullet and renumber #tin kitchen in the garret #ive levelled up from trying to edit some shorter more straightforward fics lmao #we are getting SO close to 10k words here. next section probably #also OH my god. google docs is so annoyed with me :/#WIP document is 385 pages and it's lagging real bad... i'm going to have to empty the 'discard' sections again so it'll stop but. uuuugh #copy pasting things into a 2nd document is such a pain... why...#google docs what is your problem. 400 pages shouldnt be a big deal #all of that isn't even 70k words!
