I know that DILF!Billy hates/scared/generally avoids kids (and it's pretty dangerous to leave him with them, we all know), that's fair enough, but... Let's suppose that in one BEAUTIFUL day a wild 14 year old homeless kiddo wanders into his attic or basement, maybe escaping from an orphanage or hiding from the cops after stealing food from the store or it's just a idk freeze outside. And Billy of course has chased them away in every way possible, but this little devil keeps finding way back (because they like to annoy him and steal his stuff) and even dares to hang out with Billy's cats!

I'm by no means talking about any parental relationship or anything like that, ahah, fuck no, never, BUT specifically... Um... So uh, my mind says it would never work, but my heart... but my heart says "found family <3333" so uh... I actually think that if the child was stubborn enough to stick with Billy, they would actually develop a pseudo father-child relationship. Like it would take some time don't get me wrong , and the relationship would be far from perfect and always fractured (think Murdoc and Noodle from gorillaz if you're familiar with them, except Billy is not an alcoholic lmao ), but yeah there could be some room for genuine "paternal" care and love. Though it would take some time for Billy to be okay with the child, because fourteen is the exact same age Agnes was when she ran away from him so uh... trauma. Even more so if Billy finds them in the basement...

But yeah, a strange sort of on-and-off kinda parent child relationship is likely to develop. This might not have been what you were asking for but oh well i got soft thinking about "actual dad" Dilf Billy. I will say it would be the best for the child to have some other influences other than the crazy, nasty old creep that lives on the edge of the forest lmao. And it would be best for Billy to have someone else take care of the kid every once in a while lol. But the fact that Billy wouldn't have to take care of them as like a baby would also mean their relationship could be an emotionally warmer one because the child's self sufficiency wouldn't burden Billy as much. Also, when Billy stops seeing them as a version of Agnes he would be like "14??? that's almost like a smaller, dumber adult I can kick back, relax and share a beer with" (Billy NO-)

Other characters I liked : Dr Kureha (girlboss), the baratie workers, portgas d Ace (*sobs uncontrollably*), Hachi the octopus, Vivi's duck karoo, boa hancock, Rayleigh, ivankov HEEHAW,

Favourite friendships : zoro-luffy, zoro-chopper, sanji-ace (sobs uncontrollably), nami-usopp, Luffy-vivi, Luffy-bon chan

Favorite island : Little Garden, Water 7

Favorite Villains :

Captain Kuro and the kuro neko pirates were good and i liked the unique fighting style they had (siam and buchi, then jango was hilarious as hell etc)

Don krieg was the scum of earth but he made the story progress into something more serious and thrilling.

Sawtooth Arlong, the fishmen were all intimidating as hell and the whole arc was filled to the brim with excitement

The Baroque works concept was very cool with all the code names and i felt eager to find out the powers of the duos being revealed slowly. I liked Ms. Goldenweek and Ms doublefinger and would love to see more of them in the future. Finally Crocodile served well as a villain and later as an ally.

Skypiea Eneru (enel?idk) was so formidable and his power was so very unique from all the villains up till that arc, so it was very refreshing to watch. Plus the priests and their fighting style was a good introduction to haki (called as mantra) and its influence in a fight. (Strawhats' fight with satori was fun HOH HO HO).

CP9 were all parts of ruthless and annoying about their government assigned crimes but i like that Chapapa guy the most, he's cute asf and Rob Lucci turning into a tiger gave me a shock lmao. But damn rob lucci as a shipwright was some hot shit

Aokiji gave me blood pressure from how angry he makes me but him letting go off robin in water 7 and all that time ago in ohara, he has left an impression and I'm looking forward to find out more about him

Bartholomew Kuma gave me the HOLY FUCK OH SHIT OH GOD FUCK HE IS HERE AGAIN jolts but then turned out to be a nice person with mysterious lore that im eager to find out so he deserves a place here. Plus his paw paw power is cute

Perona's negative hollow power was hilarious and she's a nice cutie girl who considers zoro a boytoy like me and Luffy so that's a plus

Favourite devil fruit power so far : tori tori no mi : model phoenix (marco) i like the flight and his regeneration power

Thoughts on the Strawhats :

Luffy : I've grown to love him a lot. His innocence, childlike excitement and badbitchery have rizzed me up, your honor. Also he is a musical genius, minami no shimawa has been SOTY for decades. Plus I really love Luffy's eating moments. He looks so cute and stupid and it melts my heart so much i know a Luffy mukbang show would go SO HARD

Zoro : His backstory felt a bit lukewarm but he later made up for everything. He turned out to be so thoughtful, brave and selfless, especially, zoro's character got new dimension during water 7 saga and ofc thriller bark zoro is one for the history books.

Nami : at first she irked me a bit, but after knowing her backstory, I started loving her. She's strong, resourceful, selfless and smart.

Usopp : his quirks, especially during the G-8 filler arc after skypiea, Usopp's CONDORRRIANO still cracks me up like no other. And him getting all the protective religious gears and garlic necklace when he saw Brook, was hilarious.

Chopper : little baby, soft fuzzy and dumb as fuck but has been so so traumatized. Also Tony Tony chopper has to be the cutest name anyone has ever been given, little baby is always too hard on himself (typical capricorn) and needs to chill.

Franky : I love his dance routines, and his franky family was cool as well. I once even followed one of his routines he does after he landed in the karakuri island (it was a good hip movement after binging one piece for HOURS). Also i miss mozu and kiwi dance icons

Robin : She filled me with rage during water 7, but after her backstory, I understood her more. She's cute and her nihilistic outlook on life is hilarious

Sanji : PERFECTION. He took my heart even before baratie (I saw a person doing leg karate in one of the openings and couldn't wait to meet him). His initial backstory (the starvation and zeff) moved me,and based on that i can see how thoughtful and kind he is. I can't wait to discover more about this wonderful character in depth. His badbitchery with fullbody, His kindness with Gin and don Krieg, the unique way he fights - he had me from the very first appearance. And I can't believe he has more depth to his already beautiful complex character. look at my pretty boy

Brook : i love how polite but chaotic he is and how easily he blends in with the strawhats. And i absolutely love how open minded Luffy was with Brook, and their interactions crack me UP.

General thoughts about op :

- op keeps me on my toes with the constant new islands, the new characters, both allies and villains, being gradually introduced feels very refreshing and thrilling

- Even the Strawhats slowly joined with a fun (sometimes sad) story. The introduction with a fresh face and the development of a new friendship felt good and didn't jumble my brain with too much information at the same time

- I love the dynamics of the strawhats and how wholesome all of them are in their own ways

- The summit war wasn't as exciting as i was expecting, it felt too drawn out and the constant switch between different fight scenes and fighting parties made things feel unfinished. On that note, whitebeard and his pirates were disappointing asf

- Excited to see more of Bartholomew Kuma, shanks, crocodile, mihawk, ivankov, perona, captain kidd, Law

- Bon chan is GOAT and i better be seeing him soon

Looking forward to see what the series has in store for me <3

Ever since I accidentally picked up and played DGS, I knew I needed to play PLVSPW. I decided to alternate playing ace attorney games with professor layton games until I finished the main trilogies for both and could finally play plvspw, and it was so worth the wait. I love this game so much it is everything I could have hoped and more, so so so much more. Highly recommend to honestly anyone!!!

Summary

This game is everything I hoped it would be. yes it's a Professor Layton crossover, but it also has the charm of DGS x Princess tutu x tunic. The ending was very layton-esque, along with all the reveals. I truly had such an amazing time playing this game. I was initially introduced to this because I heard that DGS was inspired by it, so it was my mission to play both aa and pl's original trilogies before playing. And I am so glad I did bc the wait was so worth it. You can absolutely see the influence this game and professor layton had on Shu Takumi. There's so much passion and creativity between plvspw an dgs that makes playing them all the more enjoyable. I loved how all the main characters interacted with each other, I especially loved how hershel and phoenix swapped assistants. The new characters were also so fun. Espella, Barnham, Darklaw, the story-teller, they were all so unique and enjoyable to interact with. The animation was stellar. This 3D style really works for both PL and AA and im so glad both series took inspiration from it. The music and art was phenomenal, this game honestly should win awards if it hasn't already done so. I also love how any character pulled into an aa game will have their gay moments: phoenix x hershel and espella x eve especially. I can't wait to make art or even write for this game, I will definitely add scenes from this to my ballet au ^^! What a phenomenal game, what a fun premise with the most convoluted layton-esque ending. It was so perfectly I highly recommend!!

Have you ever scrapped ideas for Sweet & Sour?

Yep!

My process has luckily been more of "transform an idea that doesn't fit" situation for most things, but I'm happy to talk about some of the things that didn't make the cut. Whipping out the notes page...

Lacey was actually meant to be the spotlighted E4 member that gets close to Juliana, not Drayton (hence the focus on her in Chapter 1 & 2). She was actually my favorite at first, and I envisioned her as being a positive, grounding guide for Juliana, and also somewhat of a middle ground influence for Kieran. But then I wrote my spin on the cafeteria scene, and I was like "oh my god wait, Drayton's character is so enticing and flexible, and he's especially fun to insert as an influence in the Kieran/Juliana dynamic". SOOOOOO I quickly decided to pivot and make him the spotlighted one, and have him do more of this brotherly figurer role who was very cunning and comedic. Before I even realized I got overtaken by the iconicism, and now he's just part of my brand in general. Whoops. The "Drayton Being Iconic" tag existed on this blog before this happened so I honestly should've seen it coming LMAO. I do have very important plans for the rest of the E4 and what role they're playing, though :

Don't laugh at this one - it was also early development LOL. I was going to have a party scene where Drayton convinces Juliana to pretend she got drunk (I know) as part of a roundabout and wild way to find evidence that Kieran had a soft spot for her (I KNOW). Kieran was essentially gonna waltz in (to a social event he otherwise never would make an appearance in) and he'd get all flustered as Juliana latches onto him. He would've decided to sweep her away from the party and take him back to his dorm. I ended up scrapping this entirely because while teens do party and all that...yeah, and also we pretty much got the dynamic moments I wanted to portray much better through the chapters where Juliana got sick.

Kieran/Juliana dynamic was also gonna have a moment where Kieran gets it in his head to start flirting with Juliana because he thinks that she’s flirting to get him to put his guard down. And that's where they both kinda were gonna secretly realize their feelings LOL. In hindsight lowkey fire still, but yeah, kinda just didn't have the space for it. We do have flirty Kieran era though, and that's still based.

This one is kinda known already, but originally the Applins were the only stars of the show (hence the name of the fic). I added Ribombee in early on after enough people wanted it and gave it lore/a connection to Kieran and his mother. Before Ribombee was conceptualized, I had different plans for what happened to Kieran's parents (he would still be an orphan regardless).

Briar was originally going to make a "deal" with Clavell regarding getting Juliana to come to Blueberry early, although it wouldn't be revealed until Juliana discovers this later. I scrapped this in favor of something much better because I didn't like the implications it had on Clavell's character, and honestly, only Blueberry is supposed to have the sketchy admin/systematic stuff going on anyways lol.

Kieran was meant to show more obvious signs of sleep deprivation (e.g. falling suspect to illness more frequently, slowed reactions). This idea is still good and realistic, but yeah, ended up leaning more into other symptomology that went well with the toxic chain curse (e.g. irritability, obsessive fixations, self-criticism, overworking himself, fatigue, etc.)

Ribombee was going to sleep powder both Kieran & Juliana in the cave scene of Ch 5. I decided to make it a bit more organic by having Kieran up and reflecting on everything + having Ribombee appearance in a more mystical way. Plus, I thought it would mean more if Kieran & Juliana opted to cuddle up themselves rather than being knocked out. There was a part of me that was worried the dynamic was progressing too fast this way with this change, but it seemed to have landed well! :)

This doesn't really count as a scrapped idea, but related: I 1000% retconned something with the Drayton POV chapters (if ykyk, LOL). But YEP. It's CANON. And frankly it's a decision I personally love that has implications, but also won't screw up the storytelling for where we're at now, either.

There's actually a lot more, too, but like I said: most of my ideas tend to upgrade. And lolololol OMG this is especially true for some major lore stuff. I just don't want to reveal it because I don't want to give y'all hints on where we're going!! LOL.

And also...there are cuter moments I haven't used in S&S and probably won't be able to because I account for what makes sense with the given dynamic. BUT what I do end up doing is taking those unused ideas and putting them into What-Ifs or other stories. There's one I'm particularly thinking of that I was dying to put in S&S D, but I don't think it would trip up the current Kieran as much as it would've in earlier chapters, lol. SO. It's going in The Dichotomy in Our Hearts instead! xD

First of all, man the visualisation of Edin Dan’s speed abilities is so cool it’s clearly heavily influenced by the flash tapping into the speed force and lowkey looks better than the flash movie lmao. Thought Khun was completely going off the deep end when we found out about forcibly recruiting people to climb the tower, but his heart is in the right place. 🤢seeing Khun hug and pamper Rachel had me so annoyed, but all that went away when his inner monologue and plans started being revealed. She think she slick as hell and got away with Bam death, faking her legs not working etc. 😭 ain’t fooling no one sis. God I hate her.

The Penkin OST during the team meeting when he was telling them all to not get attached to Rachel was so fucking fire too. This episode is his best work on this season for sure.

On Viole side, team building seems to be going well, but Yihwa still understandably hesitant to trust Viole. We FINALLY getting to see the red hair eye patch chick that I’ve seen on anitwt for so long. Supposed to be a fan favourite so can’t wait to see what she can do

The apocalyptic universe. I got chills reading about it. The way you managed to portray the eeriness of that universe is truly so amazing. Like, you can't help but feel chills when you read about it. The visualization was amazing. Then, I don't know if its just me, but the way you can feel that in that universe, there are so less people. It feels so desolate. You can feel it. When I'm reading stuff, there is a kind of color which is associated with that universe. This universe was black to me. Lbaf has been red at times,sometimes dark blue, but never black. Right now, it feels grey but the future universe is black. Almost obsidian. Everyone's desperation can be felt. Like you portrayed it so well. Max feels so similar yet so different at the same time. You can understand from the way he thinks that the past 700 years have weighed down on him. Magnus has also changed. I can't help but feel it's so cruel, the warlock's fate. Everyone else just died. The nephilim I mean. But the Warlocks have to keep living in that universe, deal with the aftermaths. Also, since it's been 700 years and Magnus was already 400, then that means he is more than a thousand years old.And now he has suffered so much, lost his best friends too. Magnus, in my interpretation of him, at least, has never been one who has a "we do what we need to do" mindset. To me, he's more lf a "do what's right" But now he's a leader and he has that entire thing to do what needs to be done. It's a bit scary.

Sorry for ranting so much. I just have so many thoughts about this chapter. In case in wasn't clear, I'm in love. I might be back later to spill more thoughts.

I'm so glad that you picked up exactly what I put down. It was exactly the vibe I was going for and it was definitely interesting to write. I think in any post-apocalyptic world there are stages of existence (liek 5 stages of grief almost) and i think, if i may so, OM and the others are currently at the bargaining stage - so it's despair mixed with hope. they are literally clinging to it because they know there is no fixing this. We literally only saw his world for a few hours. but there is SO MUCH depth there.

Which is why i wanted to write the Diary of Other Max. I wanted to explore the Warlock Academy, Max meeting Story, the first person he killed, Max coming back to find the apartment gone, his first time portal and JUST EVERYTHING AH.

Your analysis of Other Magnus is quite on point. He is definitely a leader of circumstance unlike Rafael and Alec - who were groomed for it and genuinely wanted it. So, you can see that it's weighing on him and Magnus is as desperate as everyone else. I do think Ragnor was a big influence in Magnus taking up the position (Hermes must have def done some guilt tripping there hehe)

Starting with RS!George's pov during the prison break i love that so much, he's so chaotic in this au i really liked how he's the main focus :((( ohhgg the scrungly, and besides dnf being the main relatioship of the story i can't stop thinking about the silly dynamic of george and techno and the vibe of "we're not that close but you're my best friend's lover so i'll help you i guess :/", and them immediatly rushing to hana kingdom looking for dream with the compass.

THE VISUALS!!!! i love love love how it was all described, the imagery, all the plants and flowers surrounding the castle and after reading it, thinking how a big part of it was probably HD's influence on the world trying to keep dream hidden (and trapped), the fact that the kingdom was meant to be a safe place for "war criminals" according to dream, and they both thinking he meant a safe place for george,,, hheartbreakign reading about sapnap's absence in the kingdom to keep an eye on dream and also not appearing during the chase to capture george after breaking out of pandora like MAN. (also FUCK Q) my poor fucking cat george dealing with so much pain for a year im goign to throw uo :(

george knows thanks to techno that dream is going to welcome him back with open arms but still he's scared of the small possibility of dream not being in his room and all the scenarios of why that would be, but not wanting to show that panic to techno so he covers it with insults and deflection. and how for a split second he thought the worst case scenario happened and someone killed dream on their way there (ALSO GEORGE'S PARANOIA MENTION :c ). I love the imagery of dream being like the sun for the flowers and how even the sunflowers are ignoring the actual sun to point directly to a sleeping dream, they're dependent on him, like the world's connection and pure love for its admin but amplified by HD's wish to keep him for himself (or i'm reading too much into it lmao).

I keep thinking about the rs!dteam flashback because it's making me insane,, sapnap adoring dream's admin powers but george not caring too much about it because he cared more about dream himself, and deciding that he's going to protect him and sapnap following him and training together to become dream's bodyguards and if i keep talking about it i will burst into tears,,,,,,,

the fact that the flowers and vines and plants are covering dream even blooming from his own chest and holding him down as he sleeps,,, this would go hard as a painting like if you agree. but also george defending dream and how HE is the one that knows dream the best not even any of their other closest friends like sapnap, punz or even techno, his jealousy demons are insane like if you agree. I also kept jumping on my seat whenever i noticed a referenced to lore we've talked about before like the dnf chains and dream pleading techno to rescue george from pandora ooohhggg the details,,, and techno joking about how it's the last time he does dream a favor but deep down he also cares about him that's his dearest rival and he really doesn't want him suffering :((

PAUSEEEEE I LOVE THE STORYY OF HD, XD AND PVP AND THEIR BATTLE FUCKKKK i was thinking about it because i didnt know what to do to make both pvp and xd die so hd could become a lonely god (and also applying it to dsmp canon with dreamxd) and this way is SO GOOD!!! they were doomed and my chest hurts thinking about them, “Sometimes people do stupid shit for those they love, I dunno,” I'm biting my arm off oh my gODDDD.

AND NOW HD'S BIG ENTRANCE YASSSS, and the reveal of george having talked with hd multiple times in prison and his warning of staying away from dream, and how possesive he is with dream while he's sleeping, I LOVEEEE the way it's added the uncanny valley to hd's appearance, it's my fav hc how xd and hd look so perfectly like dream and george to the point of no humanity, their faces so perfect it's evident they're pretending to be human, trying to replicate all in looks and flaws, like george's pride, and george defeating hd by making him realize that dream never cared for him, he only wanted george and only wanted hd because he was replacing george but also hd wanting dream because he was replacing xd after he died.

and george realizing that it's his fault dream got hurt by hd and him during the dethronement so he wants to free him and let him choose next even if it meant him staying away from george, that's why george telling hd that "life moves on" also soothes his soul, they both lost their lovers (by not being able to stop his fight against their other friend, and by trying to keep him away from conflict he drove him away) so george thought he also needed to move on if dream hates him because of what he did. but finally dream wakes up as hd's curse is lifted and he doesn't hate george, he's angry because he left and didn't came back for him (until now) and they still have feelings for each other YIPPEEEEEEE

can i say that i imagine off screen dream and george taking a bath together and dream tending george's wounds from torture and putting bandages on him and they're soft and cute and cry and TALK and it's an intimate moment where they connect again and it's a new beginning for them together again <3

and george's version of the gods story having a happy ending, giving hd his own happy ending too :( and it's what he believes as the story is mentioned to have multiple versions, so i think that as long as george believes that HD XD and PVP lived and are happy, it would be true :) or idk at this point i kinda zoned out i probably misinterpreted this LMAO SORRYYYY. but anyway DNF CUDDLING!!! THE REAL GOOD ENDING!!! and finally,,,,, dream is finally free from hd's curse to sleep for longer, the flowers are gone. he's gonna wake up to an embrace of his lover and start living <3

The Murder of Santasia by georgia sanders: A Look Into The Horrors of Hollywood (a story review)

I just recently finished TMOS yesterday when I wrote this and dear lord the story has me on a chokehold. Like, this was definitely worth the read! But first off, let me write up an honest, no-filter review about it because I need to get it out of my system lmao so let's get to it! (This is my first time writing a serious review so bear with me haha)

THE PLOT

In this story, we play as Caroline Reid who gets scouted by the infamous Hugo Lloyd (a well known celebrity in Hollywood who owns the Lloyd Studios) primarily to act as a replacement for the world famous Hollywood actress Santasia Evergreen who was mysteriously murdered in her own home, specifically so that Lloyd Studios can finish wrapping up a movie that Santasia was supposed to star in. The catch here is that Caroline was specifically picked because she "looks like" Santasia; she's a "spitting image" of her. And so she gets hired into the studio, gets proper acting training, and gets transformed into a first year up-and-coming actress under the name of Celine Reyes.

The bad thing however is that the longer Caroline/Celine sticks around in Hollywood, the more she finds out the film industry isn't all that glamorous and the more she learns that there's more to Santasia's death than it seems...

THE LOVE INTERESTS

The story introduces two love interests to choose which will influence the story branch you'll play through and the ending you'll get.

First is Nicholas Lloyd. He's one of the beloved famous actors in Hollywood and he's the son of Hugo Lloyd. Not only that, he was Santasia's boyfriend back then and he was very close to her back then. Considering what happened with Santasia, Nick starts off as the typical grumpy distant guy who sometimes comes off as rude and cold especially to MC (although it's kinda understandable considering she looks like her dead girlfriend) but is later revealed to be more of a sweet guy who cares about his loved ones the more you learn about him in the story. I loved their friendship in the story so much and how they help each other with the conflict in the story regarding the mystery of Santasia's death. Plus, grumpy characters tend to be amazing when they're well written!

And the second LI is Donovan Crawford, a popular singer who is known as "America's male sweetheart". In a way, he is kinda like Justin Bieber but in the 1900s: very beloved by the female population. If Nick is the black cat, then Donovan is considered as the golden retriever. A sweet, caring gentleman who is a literal ray of sunshine. I really love how he's always there to support the MC every single time and how he radiates so much green flag energy that you can always trust that this guy can't do anything bad. He's basically the dream guy, if you ask me. (I love both Donovan and Nick, don't come at me please)

WORTH THE READ?

I can positively say that yes it is worth the read!

The story was beautifully written. The mystery of Santasia's death was handled so well and the love interests are so amazing that it was hard to choose. Even certain side characters like Lauren for example get good development as well. Not to mention how god-tier the advanced directing which made scenes like the dance scene during the date with Donovan feel so cinematic. That specific scene was even animated! It was clear that the story was handled with so much care, and kudos to the author for all the hard work considering how coding is very hard in writing Episode stories.

TO SUMMARIZE

PROS:

Best advanced directing. It makes most of the scenes feel so cinematic.

Well-written love interests

Well-written main character

An entertaining murder mystery thriller that will get you hooked til the end.

CONS:

Limited customization on MC and LIs. This is due to the story using advanced overlays which are necessary to properly experience the advanced cinematic-like directing. This is also because the story heavily emphasizes how MC is supposed to be a spitting image of Santasia so drastic changes can't be made.

Gem choices. Although they're not exactly much of a con because they don't affect anything at all. They're there because this story was written as a contest entry, and contest entries were required to include gem choices in order to qualify. Treat them as a way to support the author, by the way!

Overall, I recommend this story to people who:

Love the mystery, suspense, and thriller genres

Is interested in stories that take place in Hollywood

Love a strong female lead

And, love murder mysteries

TLDR: this story is an amazing read, writing and directing wise!

Im roughly 5’2 and chubby. I have longish brown hair that’s like pin straight lmao. Im very quiet and shy around people whom I don’t necessarily know, but with people who I get comfortable to/mirror my energy, I can be energetic and a little chaotic, but if I get really comfortable with someone, Im fine with being quiet because I trust them. Gale would be a great match for you! He’s kind and level-headed for the most part, but he also has a great desire for knowledge that often beats out his sense of self-preservation. He is a wizard, after all. So you’re being super energetic and a little chaotic at first wouldn’t put him off in the slightest! He thinks you’re fascinating! And he loves watching you ramble passionately or skip along as you explore Faerun together. 

Gale loves your hair, he’s a bit envious at times. His hair is wavy, so it’s heavily influenced by the weather. He’s impressed at how yours manages to stay perfectly straight even under high humidity. But if you don’t like it looking so straight, Gale offers to learn how to braid it for you so you can go to sleep with the braids in and take them out the next morning to reveal natural-looking waves. You know he’s got some tricks up his sleeve when it comes to hair care if his magnificent beard is anything to go by. Gale thinks you’re beautiful, even more beautiful than his former goddess, Mystra. Her looks pale in comparison to yours. Your curves, your height, your hair- it’s almost otherworldly to him. To him, you are magnificent, something even the cosmos should be jealous of. 

Gale understands it can be difficult to take care of oneself, especially when feeling down. After being infected with the orb, he wallowed in self-pity for a while before managing to pull himself out of it (with the help of Tara, of course). He will gladly do the same for you. No matter what low life brings, he will never stop caring for you. 

Even on your most pessimistic days, Gale will do his best to keep enough of an optimistic outlook for the two of you. 

Shadowheart would also be a great match for you! She’s more on the reserved side, but she has a decent enough rebellious streak that I believe she’d find your amped-up energy rather endearing. 

Shadowheart is more shy than the other companions (even after her memory is restored) so she understands you need more time to warm up to her. She doesn’t mind if you’re more introverted around her at first, or if you’re more energetic. She enjoys both sides of you, so long as she gets to spend time in your presence. (She actually has a very unique sense of humor, as exampled in the gif above lol.)

Shadowheart has no problem with your hair being straight. So long as you don’t mind how long it takes her to put her hair up in that braid of hers each morning lol. 

Nor does she mind that your focus tends to wander or become super concentrated at times. Gods knows how much grace you granted her when she knew nothing of her past. There is nothing your mind could cause that would give her reason to leave. 

Shadowhearet is very similar in that she puts up a front of indifference, to hide her true feelings, especially any pain or vulnerability. As a cleric, she’s always healing others but rarely thinks about what she needs to heal herself. She doesn’t neglect her needs per se, but there’s an element of guilt there. With Shadowheart’s past, she can have a hard time convincing herself she’s worthy of extraneous things- things like fun and laughter. But that’s where you come in. 

You remind Shadowheart how much she means to you, and she reminds you how much you mean to her. The two of you keep an eye out for signs the other is feeling down or pessimistic, waiting at the ready to cheer the other up. 

You make a great team.

Hi, shout-out to Ocellus, who is arguably my funniest oc yet.

In his universe Angels and Demons (and Ghosts, but they're not tooooo involved) are basically like two factions ruling over the same territory. Certain, very skilled, Angels and Demons are sent down to the human realm as secret agents p much to spy and sabatoge eachother. Everyone who's Angel/Demon knows the rules and junk. That's just how it goes.

Ocellus, is an angel. He has absolutely *no idea* about any of this.

His angel powers? He's just weird, so he hides it. He doesn't seem to age? Absolutely banger skincare abd witk-out routine ig. Showed up one day w/o any memories, already like 21 and in uni? Well, the prof says he has a history of amnesia, so that must be it.

Like, he encounters a demon (his name changes ever 5 minutes istg, I always forget), and the Demon's out here sensing a cocky newbie and tries to con info out of him and like, Ocellus is just genuinely so clueless. Not a single thought in his head. It confuses the Demon so much that he literally just exposes that he's a demon and Ocellus is like, "Ohhh my God, you have those powers too??? Ur like me????" And the Demon is so baffled.

Ocellus isn't meant to be in the mortal realm, no one knows how he got there, and Heaven is trying to reclaim him. It just turns into the demon and Ocellus teaming up. The demon teaches Ocellus about what's going on, and Ocellus just doesn't want to go back to Heaven because "I have friends here, and a job, and *you* (referring to demon). I don't want to lose that." So the two of them are constantly evading the angels, while the demon tries not to reveal to his demon-bretheren that he's very much harboring *cough*dating*cough* an angel.

And by the end of it they're both like... idk, I never got that far, but it probably ends w/ Ocellus trying to give himself up for the Demon's sake, he gets wounded, and the demon flees w/ him to Purgatory (spirit realm) where the conflict isn't allowed to reach. They give up their mortal forms + rights to Heaven/Hell respectively, but retain most of their powers despite becoming Ghosts.

If that ending did happen, I like to think that every lifetime or so they'd take up being the guardians of a random human in need and then, like, manifest around them a bunch and be horrible influences.

Human's about to do skydiving and Ocellus and Demon are standing (invisible to others) right behind them like, O: "You know, skydiving is really fun, I tried it once back in the day!" D: "Yeah, but like, do they have the budget to afford doing stuff like this?" O: "Of course! It's good to get out and try new things, it can motivate them." D: "Won't motivate them if they don't have money for rent, 'Cellus " and the human just has to listen to their persistent bickering the whole time lmao---

"Heli told me that on the night of a lunar eclipse, werewolves fall in love with the first person they see that night," Sooha explained to the vampire 'siblings.' "And that they love that person for the rest of their lives. Isn't that amazing? It's so romantic!"

Dara stayed silent as she listened to Sooha and the guys' exchange. What started off as the vamps shitting on werewolves slowly turned to Sooha's rant on her hatred for vampires.

From awkwardly playing with her hands to tightly squeezing them to the point where a crack could've been heard.

Does she hate us that much? We're not that terrible are we?

Dara painfully thought back to what Sooha said.

We have emotions. I feel hurt right now.

We know what love is. I feel it every day with the group. I love my brothers.

We're not cruel, cold-blooded monsters. You wouldn't have been friends with me if I was.

Vampires aren't the worse. The vampires that you know of don't define us.

Dara couldn't help but squeeze her hand tighter when Heli discarded Sooha's words.

Don't smile like that. Don't say that we understand.

Don't you want to defend us? Say you met a vamp who was nothing like that? No?

I should've kept my distance. I let my feelings influence me.

It hurts. It fucking hurts.

A hand immediately went up to separate Dara's hands and hold it in his.

She let out a breath before sending a grateful smile towards Solon's direction.

She read all these romance novels where the character learns to let go. That no matter how in love they were, sometimes the best decision is to justlet them go.

And it's time for her to start learning. No matter what the others decide to do.

chapter fifteen

"Who cares if we let her down?" Solon crossed his arms. "Are you guys not concerned about let down Dara is? She hasn't spoken a single word," he pointed at the girl who was playing with her fingers.

"It's fine, Solon- we're all grieving in our own ways. I'm not a special case or anything," Dara shifted her legs. "I don't wanna say 'I told you so' but this is why we're meant to stay with each other and only each other."

"But I wanna hang out with Sooha!" Shion pouted.

"Yeah well.." Dara sighed. "Attraction is attraction and you can't really force it to stop," she crossed her arms. "And it wasn't anyone's fault that we felt this way in the first place. I just wish we didn't."

"I DON'T WANT YOU SACRIFICED! Might as well just be me!" Solon protested.

"We got him boys- Okay! Solon sacrifice it is!"

After gifting Sooha the picture, the four wolves noticed Dara entering a room.

Khan looked over at his brothers and found Enzy nodding his head slightly.

"Hey Sooha, I'm gonna head to the bathroom," he pointed his thumb behind him. "I'll be right back."

"Okay!" "Better yet, just don't come back," Sooha and Jaan said at the same time.

Dara could feel a presence as she walked through the hallway. She slowed down her pace before stopping completely.

She let out a shaky breath and turned around to see who it was.

"Oh my God- you scared me so much!" Dara sighed when she saw that it was only the familiar werewolf. "Thank God I didn't start beating you up right away."

"Sorry- I didn't know how else to approach you," he smiled softly. "I wanted to give you this," he revealed a small box in his hand. "Happy birthday."

"Khan, I told you to not get me anything last time," Dara accepted it with a warm smile.

"Does that ever stop me?" he smirked.

He watched as she opened the box and observed the bracelet.

"It's beautiful," she ran a hand through the charms. It was gold with stars and one crescent moon in the middle. The design should be discreet enough for no one to suspect that a wolf was behind it. "Thank you."

"Let me put it on you," there was a silence as Khan was clasping the jewelry on Dara's wrist. He was trying to think of ways to break the news. "I have something to tell you."

"What is it?" she looked up at him to make eye contact.

"During the recent lunar eclipse, I accidentally saw a woman..." he took a deep breath.

"Khan, that's great! You deserve to be with someo-"

"It was Sooha," and that was when Dara's face began to pale.

"Khan..." she spoke up after a few moments.

"I know what you're about to say," he had a determined look on his face. "But I can't let her go."

"If I couldn't be with the girl I fell in love with last time, then allow me to be with this one."

chapter seventeen

After a small recap, the chapter began with the backstory of Dara and Khan.

A heavily wounded Khan was sat against a building on the street. He was breathing heavily and partially in wolf form.

He had just lost someone very dear to him, and with the injuries and grief, he can't find the will to go on.

He didn't even move when he heard footsteps approaching, despite the fact that he was visibly half animal.

And that it was the night of a blood moon.

He decided to finally look at the person when they kneeled down to inspect him.

Big mistake.

It was a girl.

He started to thrash around, trying to make her step away.

She was a vampire.

He felt his heart grow warm as the inevitable feeling of a wolf falling in love crept in.

His eyes began to water at the thought of his day getting even worse.

Fighting or getting taunted by a vampire was nothing, but he was in love with her, injured and in a vulnerable state- he can't handle this.

"I'm not going to hurt you," she spoke out softly. "Let me help you."

"Get away from me!" he spat out.

"Forgive me-" she said before placing her hand on his cheek cut. He thrashed some more but didn't do much to stop her.

He started to calm down when the sting went away and a cool sensation replaced it.

I was stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I loved Dara.

I loved a vampire.

And I can't be with her.

I am Completely Happy :) BUT the BEST one i think is one she recounts a lot just bc she reallyyy felt like she had found peace. the fishing village near her afi's home holds a yearly festival for fisherman's day that she LOVEESSSS. and IF MY TIMELINE IS CORRECT she got an award i believe in 2012 (??) for her achievements and contribution to her community . and when the festival was over she got to have a long chat with her afi up on a mountain top overlooking the ocean and she holds that conversation very dear to her heart :]

(forgive me for being vague theres still a lot to be revealed in the rp hgdfjkggfdsjk!!) shes got a few but the WORST one she remembers suppperrrrr vividly just because everything seemed to happen all at once, the town she was living in was going through one of the WORST thunderstorms it had ever had, and she was seconds away from doing something SO rash . GOD awful day for a thirteen year old to have. BUT it was the catalyst for some major changes in her life, so while she would never go back and do that all over again sae can at least acknowledge that it switched what direction her life took DRASTICALLY. it led her to where she is today but that definitely doesnt mean she looks back at it with any sort of fondness gbhdgbsdf

🍎 - what is the oc's relationship w/their parents like?

her afi and amma were her legal guardians for the majority of her teenage years! and anybody within a five mile radius knows that she LOVES those guys. she takes so much influence from her afi particularly and holds him on a very high pedestal of how she should be behaving and what traits she should portray, just because he is an incredibly patient and wise man. her late amma also influenced her a LOT in terms of hard-work and dedication to others, and when she passed it only caused sae to work even harder to support her afi. not to mention sae truly considers her afi to have saved her life which means she feels she owes a LOT to him ghfdjkg

she doesnt speak with her parents!

💀 - does your oc have any phobias?

she isnt DEATHLY afraid of anything but she gets concerned over superstitious things that arent necessarily a problem to other people lmaooo. like for instance she does NOT fuck with bananas because they are considered terrible luck on boats. she rarely sails on thursdays, took the lucky charms off of her fishing hat and placed it around her waist just so the hat won't fly overboard again, never renames a boat, etc. ALL because she doesnt want to invite bad luck on her ship fghsjd

she's also really not a fan of loud noises!! thunderstorms have a tendency to freak her out but it really depends on the day honestly. catch her in a good mood and she can manoeuvre a boat through them easy peasy, catch her in a bad mood and she'll just sort of stare at the floor unmoving for a bit

LMAO sae would never admit out loud that she hates anybody enough to consider them an arch-nemesis or rival. ESPECIALLY pre killing game. now does she dislike people? for sure. is this killing game definitely taking a lot of her pent up resentment and making it ten times worse? definitely

Annon-Guy: As fellow Dawn of the New World fan, what do you think of the main characters introduced in that game?

Specifically Emil, Ratatosk, Marta, Tenebrae, Richter, Aqua, Alice and Decus.

Its been forever since ive played dotnw, so i might mess up small details. (I want to play it again- but am procrastinating playing symphonia orz)

Emil- the twist with him was so good. Kinda similar to Lukes twist in tota, except a bit more tragic because. The real Emil Castnagier is dead from the palmacosta fire. And Aster is dead because of Ratatosk.

But... he's still the real Emil. Even if his life was a lie. Even if his memories of his past were fake. The memories he made with Marta, Tenebrae, and everyone were real.

Ratatosk- I cant really remember a tonne about him individually tbh. Only that he improves over the course of the story, and becomes a much better teammate to Marta and Tenebrae.

Speaking of- Marta- shes a lot of fun honestly. The quips between her and tenebrae were perfect. And her character was also really cool- going up against her dad and the vanguard, all to try and save ratatosk. Shes cool.

Also, shes got tokunaga on her backpack. Any fan of Best Abyss Character, Anise Tatlin, is a friend of mine! (joke)(kinda)(i probably would like any Anise fan unless they were murderers or something like that.)

Tenebrae- brillient honestly. After playing tota, i can see the Jade influence loud and clear. And then you get to the twist and realise- he was in on it! He knew what was going on... owwie my heart. I see his reasoning for staying silent though. Just. Ow.

Richter- gay gay homosexual gay- sorry Richter, but its true!

On a serious note. God his situation is tragic. Seeing his dead best friend in Emil- and still seeing fit to be nice to Emil, and help him out? Despite knowing that this is really ratatosk? Amnesiatically piloting a copy of his best friends body? Ow owow ow ow. That got to me when i was sixteen (still kinda gets to me tbh) why? Because he believed in Emil being Emil.

Aqua- another one I dont remember a tonne about. She was really loyal to Richter- even above his own desires at times iirc.

Alice- my silliest little meow meow who has done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG EVER FIGHT ME ABOUT IT!

I went fucking loopy for this girl when i was sixteen. Like, if she told me to jump off a cliff i woulda done it. I wouldve fought Decus for her heart in a heartbeat if. Yknow. I couldve ever stood a chance at winning lmao.

I did all her sidequests in a second playthrough. (Missed some time sensative ones in my first playthrough nooooo) and felt so bad for her when her backstory was revealed. I loved that sidequest where she gives an old lady from tetha hella medicine (iirc) because. It showed me just what she couldve been if only the world had been better towards her.

Shit, i even tried brainstorming some timetravel au fanfic with her when i was a teen. Glad that never got out of my head- i wouldve written it SO badly. (My writing when i was sixteen was SO SHIT OMG-)

I felt so bad for that final battle with them, where we had to kill her and Decus. And she realises she really did love him... tear my heart out too why dont you?!

I really need to replay this game honestly.

Decus- hes pretty cool honestly. I cant remember the most about him. I liked hearing his backstory. And he had a interesting character- prioritising Alice above any allegence he had to the vanguard. And yet- he played the punch clock villian. It was never personal if he had to attack Emil or Marta- just his job.

ahhh sorry, the heatwave fic i meant was the fic you reblogged, that three-part one, "affection's edge". i only saw it because i was following you, and when i realized you were the one who reblogged it i was like "this is the SAME BRAND",, same brain cell

i think i read your "into the void" fic on ao3 before i found you on tumblr... that's happened to me a lot in this fandom. but i am suuuch a sucker for the religious allegories. "your serpent will always think it was right to bite" just hits absolutely diff.

geto is basically moral imperatives: the character. he goes full genocide and he sounds so calm and rational and legitimately?? healed??? by the decision?? he can believably be so many things because he's figured out the magnet hack with the moral compass baby.

it's really fun hearing about the backstory for the reader in that fic, too! the sheer utility value of having cursed energy gps, especially for geto who eats curses... and god. teen geto was a very sensitive and perceptive person who read others super well. he really was!

every idea i have lately has turned into this multichapter saga shdflkshdg it KILLS me but it's so fun thinking of backstories and abilities and how they could tie into their relationships with the characters!

i hope both of us can finish some wip someday,,, jhfgksdhg the struggle is SO REAL. but one day!

Now, I get it, I'm sorry for rambling about my Yuta fic lmao.

I love Cielo's works and the way she writes Geto. If I want a bit of inspiration or when I'm struggling with my own fics, I always visit her blog and read her stuff. I think we both like to characterize him as a kind of twisted caretaker but her Geto is a bit more playful than mine, and more upfront about his awful antics against the reader. And I absolutely love it! 💕

Yeah, I like religious symbolism a lot too, I can get my own religious trauma out of my system so I guess it's both beneficial to me and my audience too lol. But that part you're quoting from my fic is actually a little symbolistic tale about victims of abuse and their relationship to their abuser. The story is about that sometimes it's futile to make your abuser admit to the damage they caused and instead, you should focus on yourself and your healing. But it sounded kinda cool so I took it and reworked it a bit to fit into the narrative.

I like writing backstories for the readers even if I don't include it in the fic. But it actually helps a lot to have an idea about them, what kind of environment they come from, what they bring into the dynamic and why etc. It's easier to handle the dynamic if I have a general idea about how they got together with the character, what makes them attached to each other and stuff. Maybe I do this because I've been writing a lot of OC x canon stuff where you must establish the background of your character, make them fit into the canon and well... make it make sense why the character is into your OC.

I'm trying my best to restrain myself and not to start yapping about the dynamic of jjk OC and Geto because... oh boy... I do love to talk about my imaginary babies.

I really like that idea! It makes so much sense for Geto bringing reader to track down curses so he can add them to his collection. Cute date idea! But honestly, I came up with reader's technique when I was half-way done with the first part, completely out of the blue. But I do remember there was a headcannon post about how different cursed techniques reveal something crucial/sensitive about the character or how they can be interpreted as a coping/defense mechanism and that post probably influenced me a little bit.

And like... I don't want to spoil my own fics, but in the dilf!Geto fic, reader's curse technique kinda similar to his technique but it's not like curse manipulation 2.0. Similarities are important in this dynamic I can tell this much.

I was also a member of the multichapter madness gang but I got frustrated that I can't complete any one of them. I still have a Jerome Valeska fic, I love it with all my heart, it's packed with so much dark content but it still needs 8 chapters to be wrapped up (the whole fic is 26 chapters long with the unwritten ones). Aaaand I published the first chapter in 2021 so it deserves a rewrite too. I would rather write a really long one shot with lot of exposition and buildup to have higher chance of finishing it in the future. I mostly just keep the details, the fun facts and the backstories to myself, hoping for somebody like you to share them 💕
