You greeted him heartily from the lower platform, but he was unwilling to turn or respond. Ever the charmer, that one.

You fired one of your webs at a wall to elevate yourself onto his platform. “What’cha working on?”

Miguel appeared to be cranky as he sifted through various anomaly alerts and classified them accordingly on his hologram monitor. He felt irritated by the tedious aspect of his job; it was difficult to find the time to do everything at once while simultaneously fulfilling his leadership duties and being Spiderman 2099. Miguel eventually stirred from his work as he detected your footsteps behind him, although his agitated look remained fixed.

You frowned at him. “What’s the matter?”

It's not surprising that Miguel's temperament deteriorated when you asked him this. What wasn’t wrong? He became belligerent and almost pouty at this.

He resumed swiping across his touchscreen device. “Nothing. Don’t you have somewhere to be?”

Miguel was fully aware that you had already fulfilled your daily responsibilities, yet he was merely inventing excuses to avoid having to explain himself or ask for your aid. You leant on one of the tables besides you, entertained by his brusque response.

You ignored the last half of his sentence. “It’s clearly not nothing. Seriously, what’s up? If you need help you can just ask.”

He sighed exasperatedly, and pinched the bridge of his nose. “I don’t need help.”

You had been gesticulating then, gazing at him incredulously. “You’re a bad liar.”

He subsequently focused on you, his head whipping in your direction in aggravation. “Fine! I need assistance with sorting through the anomaly alerts and pinpointing locations.”

You mock gasped, placing your hand over the spider emblem on your suit. “No way! The Miguel is asking me for help? Who are you?”

You chuckled as you stroked his shoulder. “Of course I’ll help.”

He merely grumbled in response. Oh, how you loved teasing this man.

God, this was so boring.

As much as you loved to annoy Miguel, you had not anticipated that the remainder of your day would be devoted to quietly reviewing and flicking through the informational screens in his frigid headquarters. Your lower back was suffering from sitting in your chair for so long, so you stood up to straighten out your posture and get a better look at the hologram panels.

Standing for an extended period of time became exhausting as well. You were unaware that the chair you'd sat in previously had rolled away from you slightly, causing you to stumble with a curse when you moved backwards to sit down again. Miguel's reaction time was swift, as he promptly stood behind you, prepared to catch you from tripping.

He felt your back hit his chest. “Ay!”

You were both hurled to the cold, unforgiving floor, hurting faintly from the impact. At the very least, you had Miguel to break the fall (seriously, his musculature was like a cushion). You hadn't noticed that you'd landed on him, his calloused hands anchored around your waist, you sprawled crosswise his powerful thighs. Given your close proximity, the apples of your cheeks flushed ruby.

You had a hard time looking him in the eye. “Sorry, I’m really clumsy...”

Miguel's glare bore down on you with menacing precision, scowling at your blunder. However, that expression was swiftly wiped off his face as he noted your reddened cheeks, and he couldn't help but smirk at you with a bit of sarcasm laced in his voice.

He traced his talons across your sides, through your suit in a teasing fashion. “Ten cuidado, Y/N. How are you clumsy and a spider person?”

You felt like you couldn’t breathe from how close Miguel was, and you could practically smell the lavender and sandalwood shampoo he used. He smelled woody and fresh, and the moment you inhaled his scent, you felt like you were going to faint.

You whispered breathlessly. “You smell nice.”

Miguel’s own cheeks tinged a slight pink, surprised by your sudden compliment. “...Thank you?”

Miguel seemed to be unimpressed, but deep down, he felt touched by your praise and tucked it away in his thoughts like a secret for safekeeping. He'd never admit it, but despite his soft glower, he quite liked seeing you on his lap...

ok so we all know that genshin impact's in-game models leave much to be desired, soooo I wanted to explain some of the headcanons I have about characters’ physical features that don’t really get explored in game :) aka genshin but with actual body diversity lets goooooo (no this does not include genitalia) 

I’m using Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r foundation shades to describe skin tone (you can go to their website here for references!)

Diluc Ragavindr 

this man is BUILT! 

thick muscular tree trunk arms and legs to support that giant ass claymore he swings around; and a wide, muscular back spread

He has a lot of muscle but he’s not super cut, there’s a slight layer of fat over it all so he has that soft but bulky build (and big tiddies)

big, strong veiny hands with thick fingers that aren’t stubby but not slender, he simply keeps his nails short but doesn’t do any fancy upkeep

I imagine him to be around 5’10” because I like to think he’s a little shorter than Kaeya (who totally makes fun of him for it)

he probably has some old scars on his arms and legs, which he pays little to no mind to

he has a tall nose bridge and a strong brow so it looks like he’s always scowling even if he’s not (no more alien bug eyes lmfao)

He has naturally pouty lips, but when he smiles (which he rarely does) he looks absolutely angelic

Fair skinned but with a warm undertone (fenty beauty shade 105), it’s hard to get him embarrassed but if you do, he blushes easily

The fluffiest hair you can imagine, its so soft and so pretty but he doesn’t really take special care of it so it’s usually just thrown back in a ponytail

He has a fair bit of body hair on his arms and legs, and if he doesn’t shave for a couple days he gets stubble on his face

Kaeya Alberich

Long, lanky and slender, but still muscular

He’s got toned arms and legs from being a Knight of Favonius but he’s not as stocky as Diluc, it’s more like a lean fit situation

His hands are big but his fingers are more slender and elongated

He takes care of his nails and lets Klee paint them sometimes :)

He has a slightly crooked smile that’s oh so charming, but it never quite reaches his eyes

He has the most beautiful long fluttering eyelashes and kissable lips

I imagine Kaeya to be about 6’2” or so, most of that height is from his long ass legs

He also has miscellaneous battle scars but he prefers to keep them hidden so people don’t ask too many questions about his past

Wide shoulders but a narrow waist (for other men to grab)

Much darker skin than the in-game model, and I think his undertones are cool (fenty beauty shade 340 or 450 I can’t decide)

His hair is also fluffy but the strands are longer and coarser than Diluc’s so it falls more evenly; also his hair is wavy when brushed out, but when he wakes up it forms into curls naturally! I also imagine him to take better care of his hair than his brother

Has less body hair than Diluc and cannot grow even facial hair to save his life (he prefers a clean look anyways)

Childe/Ajax/Tartaglia

he’s very muscular and cut from years of nonstop fighting, literally a greek god

He could crush your head between his thick thighs like a watermelon

He’s pretty damn tall, standing at around 6’4” or so, pretty even proportions

This man is pasty af!!! His undertones are cool and his skin has a pink, rosy glow (fenty beauty shade 100)

He cannot get a tan to save his life, instead he gets a shit ton of freckles all over his face and body, the freckles fade in the winter but they’re always slightly visible

His body is absolutely covered in battle scars because he’s so reckless, but he wears them with pride as proof of his training and skills

He has a scar on his forehead that cuts through his eyebrow, giving him a permanent eyebrow slit

His hair is the exact consistency and color of Ed Sheeran’s

His nose has a bump in the middle and it’s a little crooked because he broke it and it never healed properly (he doesn’t care to get it fixed)

Slightly thinner lips that are a pale pink, they naturally rest in an easy smile to juxtapose his dead eyes

MUSCLE MOMMY, I’d like to think shes in her late 30’s or early 40’s

She has an overwhelmingly large presence, immediately taking over the aura of any room she enters

She has a wide, muscular back rife with scars that she flexes when she’s drunk

She’s pretty tanned from being out on the sea all the time and has a warm undertone (fenty beauty shade 255)

Could also crush your head with her thick thighs or biceps (her lat spread is insane)

Definitely has washboard abs, a perfect 6-pack

She’s pretty tall, around 5’11”

Blunt and thick fingers, she doesn’t bother with fancy nail care but keeps them tidy

Her hair is very coarse, straight and thick, the kids in Liyue Harbor try to play with it using clips and braids but they always fall out because her hair is so resilient

She has deep set smile lines and crow’s feet from many years of hearty laughter

Her eyes are monolid; technically speaking it’s just one eye since the other was lost in a vicious battle a long time ago

She has a long scar running over her lost eye from her forehead to the middle of her cheek, and another smaller scar on the corner of her lips

Her nose is rounded at the end and also used to be crooked from a fight, but Ningguang made her fix it because a deviated septum is bad for breathing

Thinking about how in Homecoming when Peter accidentally caused that boat to get split in half because the Vulture’s gun exploded and Tony was acting like as if Peter was completely in the wrong for going there just because he did it without his permission. He was acting like as if Peter was out of line and “disobeyed him”, trying to act like his father. And then I remember how in CACW he’s the one who scouted Peter in the first place just because he saw he might be useful against a personal squabble between him and Captain America despite knowing that he was a kid and he’s just now acknowledging how dangerous it is because Peter “acted on his own”

Completely hijacking Peter’s superhero story and trying to control his every move (Training wheels protocol and baby monitor thing he put in the suit), acting like Peter should’ve known that Tony would send someone in despite the fact that he’d been ignoring him for 2 months since Civil War and not keeping him updated on anything!!

How the hell is peter supposed to know Tony is going to listen to him when he treats him like a kid instead of a superhero when it’s convenient for him? And when Tony loses his temper after Peter says he’s 15 not 14 like “the adult is talking” bitch he could literally flatten you without your suit!!!

I guess in a way he is acting like a father but like the absentee kind. He’s more like a sperm donor father trying to act like he has any rights over Peter’s life smh.

It’s not that reprimanding Peter for the situation is bad, but the way he makes it seem as if Peter is irredeemable as if Tony wasn't a literal weapons dealer lmfao. Why did Tony even take the suit away? Like as if he expects Peter to stop being spoderman without it??? Holy fuck. This is why you don’t make it out of endgame /j /srs.

You both lived in an isolated home somewhere in Inazuma's Narukami island, alone yet a long way from the city. Living like that has its advantages of course, mainly to protect yourselves against whatever meddling business the 6th fatui harbinger had gotten himself in.

Now that he's finally gotten the Raiden Shogun's electro gnosis from a certain shrine maiden, he's on foot again to archons-knows-where. And he tells you the news when you're both sitting on the porch of your tiny and cozy home.

"You're leaving already when you just got back?" Maybe it was the Gods playing favourites but the sun kissing your skin and the wind blowing against your hair certainly made you glow.

The sun was shining over the horizon, and the birds were barely awake. You were in your comfortable pyjamas and he on the other hand, was adorning his beautiful silk navy blue and white kimono that morning, rather than his usual fatui harbinger attire. Your eyes are struggling to keep open as you woke up a mere 10 minutes before.

He felt he could move freely, almost as if he were a ghost. He prompted himself to take this to his advantage and visit you in your sleep. And there you were, cuddled up on your bed.

The home that was once cozy and sweet felt uncomfortable. The room you were in was unkept and the bed was undone, some pillows are on the floor and the blanket was dishevelled. He notices of course, that you were sleeping on his side of the bed instead of yours. And the tears that were continuously flowing from your eyes were hard not to notice.

He called out your name. You couldn't hear him. He was right next to you, within arms reach, yet you couldn't hear or even see him.

The puppet wasted no time in at least trying to comfort you. He kneeled down besides you and pushed the hair sticking to your face from the tears. He cupped your cheek, wiping the falling tears with his gloved thumb. He was like a guardian angel.

You were far too deep asleep to notice a thing, but he didn't want to wake you. All though it was very dark out, the dark eyebags were clear as day to prove to him that you needed the rest.

He leaned down to press a kiss to your temple, he whispers sweet nothings and an "I'll be back soon." It's not like you could've heard him but you definitely felt the breath of air onto your ear like as if someone was whispering a secret to you.

By the time you woke up you were met not with your partner, but his scent was in the air. Like it was when he was still around in the house. He visited you.

Just days later, you heard a rushed knock on your front door. It was dawn again and your hair was a mess. You walked to your door barefoot, mumbling incoherent words that could be insults as you were woken up from your beauty sleep.

When you opened it, it was your partner. He was there, in the flesh. His breathing was haggard, yet he smiles anyway. His hat was held on his hands like he took it off when running so much.

Your eyes tricked with tears, and hugged him tightly. "You were there, right? That night!" You wailed and your head was on his chest. "Yes, and I'm sorry for not coming sooner." He rested his chin to your head and brushed your messy hair gently, careful enough not to tug on it.

You finally came to your senses and picked your head up from his chest. You backed up from him and pushed him in anger. But not in a way that could definitely hurt him or make him fall. "Just who do you think you are, waltzing back home like as if you didn't disappear after weeks and didn't even bother to send a letter!" You cried, yet he remained his composure from calling you stupid things. He knows what you've been through during his absence and just wants to be with you.

He cups your cheeks and rubbed the tears off with his thumb, as he's done many times before. His eyes wore a gentle glow and the sweet smile on his face was blinding. It's not often you see a man so in love.

"I'm done with everything. I took care of it, I promise I'll be here for as long as I live." He tells you, with genuine and charm in his tone. He leans forward to press a kiss to your forehead. And another on your cheek. And then another on your temple. And again and again in every other place and you couldn't stop yourself from cry laughing.

You stopped giggling when he makes sure to stop and leave a kiss on your lips. A long, tasteful and blissful kiss. You could still feel the warmth on your lips even after he pulled away. He ends it by just leaning his forehead to yours till the only thing you could hear from each other was your breathing. Even when he's away for so long, he'll always count on you to wait for him.

Like she's the only child of the police dude or whatever, and while she probably got whatever she asked for, she was under so much pressure to perform correctly because she was her parents one chance. She is a reflection of them and she has one chance to do anything correctly. I could also see her being an older sibling with that need for control she has.

Also shy!reader gives middle sibling energy or younger sibling energy but idk how to explain it. She just seems to carry this expectation that she'll be overlooked that it's become a need. Idk. She also gives "glass child syndrome"

Nurse!reader is definitely an older sibling let me tell you WHAT but not oldest sibling, like the second or third in a big family. Like she got so used to taking care of people she made it her career, but because she wasn't oldest she got this brutal attitude.

- The relief that Tinn's mom didn't force him to come out is astronomical. There is a very clear difference in Gun's comfort with his mom, and Tinn's reservation with his own parents. It's so so so important for him to come out on his own terms and a very big step for her to realize that when she saw how nervous he was.

Were you able to read Play Away by @/saturnsorbitsnsorbits? It's cheating related, but has a happy ending if that's something you're looking for (and don't read the epilogue if you want Bakugo ending). I also really enjoyed Before Number One by them, too (although the angst is pretty... mild).

One fic that I come back to a lot, too... is this one, Third Wheel... it's actually a Kiribaku x Reader pre-established relationship, but OH GOD truly gets me sad heated asf LMFAO!!! w/ a happy ending to make it all worth it though, ofc LOL.

And... the prequel is @kingkatsuki's Ensnared (which, TW for noncon), but someone wrote a really yummy, angsty sequel on Ao3 that I used to read like... once a week (even without the first part)... so maybe try that? I really like all this author's work (I think they're the person who made me fall for Bakugo first)... but this one especially is nice, as well (which is angsty and soft)!

i'm going to spoiler the True Form description for people who don't want to look at it and also possibly just because it's. spoilers, i guess? however i don't think this is ever going to be a Reveal, it's just not obvious at first glance looking at them.

it's not super advisable to look directly at Twilit's true form unless you want a bunch of psychic damage, but obviously other archdemons are capable of Beholding them fine. they're Huge, with differing layers of loosely-connected corporeal form overlapping; the. central body? is squid-like in shape, though the skin is scaled and tough rather than an actual squid's blubber or whatever, with a mass of long tentacles that extend from the uh... torso? the head/face region has that... let's say "conical" squid-shape but augmented with bony plates and cilia that evoke the biblical descriptions of angels, with a halo like a burning wheel and so forth. circling the body is a shroud of moth-like wings that can fold up in on themselves or unfurl based on their whim - when unfurled, they vibrate with a loud humming, buzzing noise. black in colour; they have no visible eyes, ears or mouth, but no matter which direction you look at them from, they always seem to be watching you.

it's not particularly new ground as far as eldritch beings go but i enjoy a good tentacle... Conceptually i mean. they were actually not a demon in this original iteration though haha... they were an elder god. so. things change!
